Dear Lady Sigyn,

My parents have informed me that you and I are intended to be married in the future and my mother insists that I begin writing you letters so that we might get to know one another.

My name is Loki Odinson, son of the Allfather and prince of the nine realms. I have also been instructed tell you about myself, what I like and dislike, and ask you to do the same.

Very well. I enjoy knife throwing, reading books, attending theatrical productions, practicing magic and exploring Asgard. I should also note that I will never turn down a properly aged glass of Asgardian wine.

What do I dislike? Cheap mead and my brother's infatuated ego stand out in my mind at the moment. I must admit that while an arranged marriage does not exactly fulfill one's desire for romance and seduction, it does make the process of wooing and courtship significantly easier. Historically, power and money keep house rather well together. Perhaps our union shall join the company of those who used their privileged positions to influence and dictate not from thrones and pillars but from hearths and halls.

What about you, what are your likes and dislikes? I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,

Loki Odinson
