King Peppy woke up and noticed that his wonderful daughter was not singing as she usually did. He went to her room and knocked gently on her door and opened it when he did not get a response. He noticed her bed had not been slept in. Had she not come home? Now this was not unusual. It was storming last night and she probably stayed with a friend which is why she did not tell him that she would not be home last night. He just hopes that she is ok. Before Peppy had a chance to really think about it there was a knocking at his front door. When he opened it it was revealed to be all of her friends in the Snack Pack. But still no Poppy. "Hello your majesty." Biggie said with a big smile on his face. "Is Poppy ready?" King Peppy realized that she must have stayed at Branch's; he knew that when the weather was bad and Poppy was closer to his bunker than the village the grey troll would let his daughter stay till the storm would end. "No. She didn't come home last night." King Peppy said calmly. Not noticing the worry on the Snack Pack's faces. Clearly they did not know or remember the fact that Poppy might be with a certain grey troll when the weather turns bad. "What? Oh no!" Smidge stated. "She must have gotten." Satin said. "Caught up in the." Chenille said. "STORM!" The twins finished together. "We need to find her!" Guy Diamond said holding Tiny in his hair.
What drew the panicked group's attention was when King Peppy was starting to chuckle. "No. I do not think she is in danger. She probably is stil at Branch's bunker. He lets her stay there when she gets caught in a storm." Peppy said in a matter of fact tone. The others were frozen in disbelief; they were not entirely sure if Poppy was being completely honest and were just trying to make the grey troll sound nicer than they thought he was. But he really did care for her. The other trolls barely said goodbye to the King before rushing off to Branch's bunker. Unfortunately they did not notice the small crowd of their other friends who noticed their odd behanvoir and chose to follow right behind them. When they reached the bunker the sight before them was not one they were expecting.
Branch gave Poppy one more peck before letting her go so she could finish their breakfast. "Thanks again for making me breakfast." Poppy said slyly, pulling her mug up to her face. "No problem. But next time I will have more to choose from." Branch said not seeing the look in Poppy's eyes. "Next time?" Branch then froze when he realized what he had just said. "Uh. Sorry I just meant if you ever needed to or even if you just wanted to spend another night or just have breakfast together they would be food." Branch said very surprised that he was able to say all of that without stuttering. "I'd really like that." Poppy said, putting her dishes in the sink. "But I need to see if my clothes are dry and get back to my dad. He must be worried." Poppy explained. "Like I said you can keep the flannel. I also like the way it holds your form when you wear it. I'll wash your clothes and you can get them later." Branch said, making Poppy giggle nervously. But she liked the way Branch makes her feel. "Ok. I'll come by later and get them or I could just leave them here if I ever need a spare change of clothes." Now it was Branch's turn to blush. "You better get going." He said as he led you out. "Hey, I wanted to ask. Would you be ok if my colors never came back. Just I;m happy I really am but I'm a little worried that I have just been grey too long and…." Branch rambled on but was cut off by a kiss. "Branch I don't care if you are grey or colorful I fell in love with you. All of you. Ok." Poppy said with a smile which Branch returned.
They reached the top of the elevator and they were not aware of the crowd that had gathered around to witness what happened next. Branch gently pulls Poppy into one final kiss before leaving her. When she takes a step back Branch closes his entrance but Poppy can still hear him and she beats he doesn't realize this. Because he is singing again.

Poppy could not help but smile because he was singing about her and for the first time she knew that it was about her. She not only got to spend the night with her new boyfriend but while he was busy making breakfast she might have wondered around a little bit and found a small curtained that when she peeked behind realized that that it was filled with every single one of her invitations that she had given branch that he had also destroyed and apparently fixed. He really was the sweetest. I mean he could have not destroyed them in the first place but that is neither here nor there. Poppy was blissfully unaware of her friends watching her head back to the village still wearing Branch's clothes. "Oh my gah." Smidge said. "Poppy is the girl Branch sings about." Guy diamond said not realizing the group behind them. "Branch sings?" Milton asked. The Snack Pack realized their mistake and felt that they were left with no other option but to explain and realive the secret. "But you can't tell anyone." Cooper said seriously for probably the first time in his life. "Don't worry bro we won't we get it." D said. "Can we could listen next time you all go?" Leggsy asked. The Snack Pack all looked at one another nervous. "Sure not like we could stop you." Creek said lovely this turn of events. The others all thought the same thing once Creek spoke. Poppy was not going to like this.
Poppy was humming to herself on the way home waving to everyone she passed, too happy to notice anything else around her. Once she got home she changed clothes and was ready to start her day. Her father was sitting in the living room waiting for her to get finished first. Apparently she was so lost in her own little world that she didn't even notice him sitting there. So it was a little funny to him when he startled her. "So did you sleep well?" He said just giving her a look. Poppy jumped, placing a hand over her heart. "Sorry. I was at Branch's last night. He let me stay due to the strom and I lost track of time this morning." Poppy tried to explain it innocently. She figured that she might want to wait to tell her father that they were together since he knows she spent the night at his place. "So did anything happen?" He asked coyly. Knowing full weel that she was probably just going to stutter around unsure of what to say. And sure enough that is exactly what she did. King Peppy just let out a little chuckle to himself before getting up and getting on with his day. "I'm just teasing sweetheart. By the way, your friends were looking for you." He said before leaving the pod. Poppy was left stunted unsure of what had just happened.
Poppy left her pod and was ready to sing through her day. She couldn't wait to hear about everyone's day yesterday or hear another of Branch's songs. But now that they were together it felt a little wrong to be spying on him. Maybe she could convince the Snack Pack that this could be their last time watching. Surely they would agree right. She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice that her friends were running up behind her and she surely did not notice the look of panic in their eyes. No instead she just started to sing with the rest of the village.

"Poppy, we need to tell you something." Biggie tried to say hoping to get her attention, but failed. They others tried to do the same.

Her friends tried to get to Poppy but it was no use the whole village had joined into the song now and they were weaving through a crowd of trolls trying to get to the pink princess. Cooper though got distracted and was joining in the music.

The entire day went on like this. Poppy was leading the village in singing and the Snack Pack minus Cooper trying to get her attention they needed to tell Poppy about what happened and what they saw before she made it over to their hiding spot.

But wait, wait, wait.
"WAIT!" Poppy said as she eyed at all the new people who were not supposed to know about this. The Sanck were too late. Poppy looked over at the Snack Pack with her arms crossed, knowing that they were the ones who blabbed. "I thought we agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone about this." She whispered. Not fully knowing if Branch was here yet. "We know it was an accident. We were actually trying to find you when we saw that you were coming out of Branch's bun-ker." Suki said, adding an accent at the end of the last word before biting her lips. Poppy was blushing because she didn't exactly tell her friends yet about all that had happened last night. "Is there something you want to tell us?" Guy Diamond asked, smuggly. "This isn't about me right now. We are promised not to let out the secret for Branch's sake." Poppy replied. Milton walked over to Poppy placing a hand on her shoulder drawing her attention to him. "Poppy they already let us know about the situation, we kind of sunk up behind them not giving them much choice but to tell us. We promise we won't tell anyone and no one else will find out. We won't even come back, we just wanted to hear it once." Poppy let out a sigh. "Maybe it would be best if this is all of our last time doing this." Poppy said with a sigh. She wanted to keep hearing his songs but now that she was sort of with Branch she realized that there were lines that she couldn't cross. This one would definitely break his trust.
The others did not want to stop doing this; except for Creek, but they understood Poppy's reasoning, so they reluctantly agreed. The group walked a little further until they saw Branch a little more excited today about finishing this song he was writing on the mushroom with Glitz gazing over his shoulder watching him. "Ok. Glitz I'm done. This song was one I was working on before…." Branch stopped abruptly and gave a sad smile. "Before I turned grey." Branch finished. "This is for you Gramma." Branch said before closing his book and standing up to start singing.

Poppy listened. It started off slow but still had a bouncy beat. It was different from his other songs. Maybe because it was from before he had lost his colors.

Branch was slowly doing some sort of choreographed dance moves that fit with the music that was playing. Everyone was taken with him. Those who have seen Branch sing before and those who were hearing him for the first time.

Poppy was trying to listen to the music but she was stressing over the fact that more people now know of Branch's secret and she still needed to tell Branch about all of this. She just didn't know how to bring it up.

Everyone could not help themselves; they danced as quietly as they could so as to not draw Branch's attention to them. They all were loving this song and this song definitely fit into the trolls style more than they other ones did. But they also love the other songs as well but this one they would hope one day soon that Branch would allow them to sing along with him.

For someone who did not like loud music you wouldn't know it from this song. Creek thought a little annoyed that this song was really catchy. He had been bitter all day about watching Branch kiss Poppy and her kissing him back. She was supposed to be his not that grey sorry excuse for a troll. Creek knew he need to come up with a plan now. He needed to break up Broppy.

Poppy knew that Rosiepuff is up in heaven cheering the loudest besides Branch's parents of course. (Wink.) They would be so proud of the troll that Branch has become. She knows that she loves the troll that Branch has become. Like so said earlier grey or colorful Branch was and will continue to be the man she loves.

"What do you think, Glitz? Do you think she would have liked it? It was the last song my siblings and I were working on before they all left." Branch reminisced sadly. "I never thought I'd ever think of this song again. But a certain someone has changed that." Glitz buzzed around Branch's head excitedly. "Squeak." Branch just laughed lightly. "Yes, Glitz. It is Poppy." At the mention of her name she froze and everyone turned to her. "She really does make me happy." They heard Branch admit. "And maybe I might actually share one of my songs with her next time." Poppy's jaw dropped. He was getting ready to share his music with her? Two thoughts plagued her at that moment. One was that it was great and secondly was that she needed to tell him the truth but how? The others watched Branch gather his things and head back to his bunker.
"Wow, just wow." Milton said. "I know." Synth said. "I get why you all just kept coming back." D said. "Yeah but a promise is a promise." Leggsy said. "What happened with Branch's gramma?" Cooper said, earning a smack from his brother. "She was eaten by a bergan after saving Branch when he was little." Biggie whispered. "He was so distracted singing that he didn't hear her warn him." Satin said. "He now blames himself for it." Chenille finished. "I had an uncle who broke his neck tap dancing." Cooper said, earning a confused look from Creek. "Look, like Poppy said we need to stop spying on Branch. We want to be his friend. We need to respect his boundaries. Ok." Very happy that they would stop swooning over Branch but he was not happy at all over the fact that Poppy and Branch were now together. He needed to do something about that and quickly. Before Poppy could tell Branch about them spying on him. Creek knew that that would be the straw that breaks the camel's back and ends them for good.
So I am finally seeing Trolls 3 today and I wanted to get this chapter out before then. I'm excited I've been working on a lot of chapters sadly not in order. For those of you who have seen Back to the Future Trilogy. Remember the line when Doc Brown tells Marty. "You need to think 4th dimensionally." Well my brain sort of works like that.
