It was a few days after the wedding; Floyd and Riff were off on their honeymoon and so were Carol and Barb. By this time a lot of the pods from the troll tree in Bergan Town had been moved to the village and one of those pods was Rosiepuff's old pod. Delta and Ozzy had decided to move into it with Dixie. They had placed the pod in the tree that was right next to Branch's bunker so they were still close. As a wedding present Poppy had a pod made for Barb and Carol and was currently working on a pod for Floyd and Riff for their wedding present. Poppy had a plan for each of the siblings and their significant others to each have a pod in the tree next to Branch's bunker. So he could have his family close but also a little selfishly she hoped that one day she could move into the bunker and it would be their home. But until then she would be working on Brandy and Spruce's extra large pod to fit them and all of their kids.

She was setting up Rosiepuff, Carol and Barb, and Riff and Floyd's pods when she heard a bunch of trolls singing. It took her a moment to realize that it was most of the brothers. Holly was hanging out with Biggie today and Poppy realized that she would need to talk to him further about this new development later. Branch was currently setting up the plumbing and electrics on the pods so he didn't hear the singing.

John sang with his arm around their father, each of them went to get the necessities for the pods. Clay and Spruce were singing the beat and all of Spruce's sons were there with him to help. His little angel and sister were having a girls only play date. Their rules. Well Spruce's sons were all singing the next part of this hoshposh of songs with their little voices. But Poppy could tell that they all got their father's voice.

Poppy smiled when she heard Ozzy join in to sing with his grandsons. He seemed like a really good dad and an even better grampa. Poppy knew Branch had been angry at his brothers but she also knew that he could not be mad at his dad. Not since the moment they had reunited and saw how broken Ozzy had looked when he saw that he had unintentionally abandoned his youngest child. Ozzy knew what he had done wrong and didn't hide that which she thinks helped.

Spruce picked up the next couple of lines as he and Clay carried some of the heavier boxes. Poppy was on the ladder setting up a bridge from pod to pod so they could still have easy access to one another and also some nice lights. Poppy was almost done so once she snapped out of her viewing of the family singing wishing Branch would one day feel comfortable enough to sing with them again, but she knew that all he needed was time. She could definitely give him that and after that talk a while back so did his family.

All of the people around us, they say

Clay decided to take the next solo placing a box down to dance with his nephews. They were the only ones who could get him to still be a bit silly. Poppy loved it and had not realized that until Suki had mentioned it to her one day in passing. Poppy realized that Suki has been spending a lot more time with Clay lately. She thought with a smile.

We are family (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

They finished singing and reached the bunker's entrance and once they got everything in the pods they will be ready to move into. "Hey Popseed! These look great. Man, I've missed Gramma's old pod." JD reminiscing. The others agreed with his statement. They then saw Branch jump down saying that he was finished with all the handyman work and that the pods were ready for their parts. Branch was proud of his handwork and hoped his Gramma would be proud too. They all missed her. So the guys started the heavy lifting but soon had to call for Smidge's help because she was much stronger than all of them.

Once they were all done loading up the three finished pods they decided to join Branch and Poppy inside of the bunker. Clay saw the two interact with one another and he somehow found himself some courage to ask them something that has been weighing on his mind. "Hey Branch, Poppy." Clay asked with a shaky voice as he sat next to the couple. They both turned to him, also seeing the other two brothers follow suit. "Yeah Clay." Poppy asked in her overly sweet voice. "I was wondering how did the two of you get together?" Sure they saw they last part in the Bergan cooking pot but it was obvious that there was more going on before that.

The question had taken Branch by surprise, but not Poppy. She took that question and ran with it. "It all started with his songs and poems." Poppy said knowing better than to give away Branch's secret spot. Or the fact the she and her friends had spied on him while he poured out his soul. Not something she was ready to admit to her boyfriend's family. "Wait. He writes poems. Branch taking Floyd's role as the sensitive one." JD said as a joke but it just annoyed Branch. "Maybe you could give us an example of something." Spruce asked interested in hearing this poetry." Branch was about to say no until he saw the look on Poppy's face that he could never say no to even when he was grey. He gave a sigh before turning completely to her. If her was going to do this he did not was to see the faces of his brothers.

Branch was so lost in reciting his poem he had written for Poppy not noticing the looks he was now receiving from his brothers. They had no idea their little brother could be poetic. They knew he had a way with words but nothing like this. He was not wrong when he said that it was his words that won Poppy over. Poppy however loved hearing and was hooked on every single word Branch said. Branch looked lovingly at her and there was no doubt in the brothers' minds they were perfect for each other.

But if the words I say

Poppy had tears of love in her eyes at the words Branch had spoken to her and she could not help herself but launch herself at Branch to giving a give. Branch gave a weak chuckled until he looked up to his brother's smirking at him and he just gave them an unamused look. "Ha. Ha. Yeah laugh it up but it worked." Branch said with a satisfied smirk before leaving his brothers there to think about how he was right. You couldn't argue with the results. "Ok. Ok, I'm sorry. You're right but do you think that is something Suki would even be into?" Clay asked. "Wait are you going to asked Suki to be your girlfriend? Ohhhh. This is so exciting." Branch saw that she was now causing Clay because a little more nervous. "Hey Poppy maybe this should be a brother talk?" JD said not wanting to hurt her feelings by say family talk she honestly was family. "But you're talking about Suki?" Poppy was confused they were talking about one of her best friends. "Well we are also gonna talk about talk about man stuff." Branch said trying to get her to leave forgetting how hard it was to do just that. "OH. I love man stuff." Branch gave her a look that said really. "Please Poppy." Poppy let out a defeated sigh. "Ok find." She then left the brothers to do their thing. "Man stuff?" Spruce asked, laughing at his brother's choice of words. "I couldn't think of anything that wasn't going to hurt her feelings. I was basically kicking her out." Branch said frustrated. He was trying to help.

"I thought you were supposed to be the wordsmith here?" JD said poiking fun at his youngest brother. Branch let out a groan that caused all of the brothers including Clay to let out a laugh or a chuckle. "Aren't we supposed to be helping Clay." Branch said, hoping to put the attention back on Clay. "Yeah man. Was Poppy right? Are you going to ask Suki to be your girlfriend? If so, congrats man." John Dory said to his middle brother. Spruce looked at him curiously too. Branch could not care less. He didn't mean that in a mean way he likes Suki. He was actually better friends with her than the rest of the Snack Pack. He just wasn't going to be in his brother's business teasing him about who he liked. He was happy that Clay had found someone he was happy with like how he was happy with Poppy. He was even happier that it was with Suki, but you did not hear that from him.

"Yeah well maybe. I just don't know how to do it." Clay said defeated. His brothers gave him a sympathetic look. Understanding where he is coming from. Spruce remembers being nervous when he first asked out Brandy. She said no the first five times. He eventually wore her down. Branch was a hermit before Poppy. He knows just how much she has changed his life. She knows how much he has changed hers. "Seriously bro. How did you manage to land a queen? Was it really just your words?" Clay asked, still not understanding how his littlest brother had so much game. "Yeah pretty much." Branch said keeping it very vauge which frustrated all of the brothers who wanted him to spill the tea. "Ok well you know Suki. Is she even someone who would even be into something like that?" Clay asked. "Well Poppy tells me when she talks to her about that kind of stuff or when I sing for her, she said that Suki seemed to be into it so maybe. I honestly don't know you've heard Poppy talk when she's super excited. It's really fast and I don't always catch everything." Branch explained.

The brothers laughed at Branch's predicament. Spruce was also curious as to why Clay didn't come to him for dating advice? He was the one who was married, not Branch. At least not yet. He understood asking about Suki. She is Branch's friend. But come one Clay way to hurt a man's non existing ego. Spruce would have liked it but he was also interested in hearing about their little brother's life. This did leave Clay with some food for thought. "Ok. I think I might have something. But I might need some help from my bros." Clay said with a smile. The brothers looked at one another before returning the smile. "We're in." John said, pumped. This was it. Clay was finally going to ask Suki to be his official girlfriend.

The brothers worked all the rest of the day with the help of their family that was there to help set up all that needed to be in place for Clay. Branch even called in Poppy's help. Like I said they called in their family. To say she was excited would be a terrible understatement. Branch thought if she could physically explode she would have and it would have been nuclear. Poppy loved Suki. Other than Branch she was her closest and oldest friend. She just wants the DJ to be happy. So her part of the plan was to make sure Suki was in the right place at the right time. The boys would handle the rest. Branch handled the lighting and got Glitz to get the other glowbugs for music accompaniment. JD and Spruce took care to get as many red rose petals as possible. They even recruited Suki's older sister and niece; BJ and CJ. BJ was really happy for her sister and CJ liked the idea of having Clay as an Uncle. BJ had to keep reminding her that he was just asking her out if they weren't getting married, but it went the same as when Spruce and Brandy tried to explain that Poppy was not their Aunt. Now that Spruce thought about it they would probably have to have that conversation again but about Suki.

It was about time so Poppy made her way to Suki to see if she could get her take on things with Clayand to get her to Clay's surprise for her. Poppy knew that Suki was going to love it. She had managed to get the DJ out of her pod when the two started to hear music play and Poppy got really excited. Because she knew what was happening and she was so happy for her friend. She saw Branch and ran to him giving him a hug as Suki was then showered with the softest, ruby red rose petals she had ever seen.

On that sunny day, didn't know I'd meet

Such a beautiful girl, walkin' down the street

Seen those bright brown eyes, with tears coming down (so he said to himself)

She deserves a crown, but where is it now?

Suki, listen

Suki saw Clay singing. Seranading her. It filled her heart so much. He wrote a song for her! He wanted to move forward. But that made her extremely nervous. She's never had a boyfriend before. Her first date ever was with Clay and even though she would never admit this she was sweating. She acts confident and facts it till she makes it for all except her music, but this was new territory for her.

Runnin' fast in my mind, girl, won't you slow it down?

If we carry on this way, this thing might leave the ground

How would you like to fly? That's how my queen should ride

But you still deserve the crown, well, hasn't it been found?

Suki, listen

Suki saw that he had the helpe from his brothers and this was supposed to be a big romantic gesture for her. And for the first time she understood a fraction of what Branch might have felt all those years being scared of the Bergans. She felt like she was dying. Having a mini anixiety attack. It didn't look like anything was wrong but a storm was brewing inside. Why? She thought she was supposed to be happy about this and she was but she was also terrified.

Suki felt so overwhelmed because no one has ever done something this sweet and amazing for her before and she just couldn't take it. She ran off away from Clay, hands covering her cheeks, tears in her eyes, and without a word she just left. Clay stopped singing not understanding what just happened. He thought she liked him. Poppy looked woriedly at her friend and Clay. "I will be right back. Something's wrong." Poppy said to reassure Clay, but he already felt like a total loser. How could he so stupid? Clay just walked to the bunker he didn't want to talk to anyone. All of his family wanted to comfort him with this heartbreak but he just wanted to be alone. He was so used to reading about sad heartbreaks in his books but this was his first time experiencing one and he just wanted to be alone to cry. And not in the fun way.

Ok so here is another chapter sooner than expected I don't know I just feel like Branch at the start of the story. Speaking of which I will be bringing back the spying on the Lone Concerts. But this time Brozone. I have a plan and no I'm not going to reveal anymore spoilers!!!! I'm excited. Well I hope y'all enjoyed reading. Bye!
