Chapter 6 Become a Harbinger?
Lumine's POV
"You want me…to join the Fatui Harbingers", I asked in shock.
"Yes", the Jester replied. "Both me and her majesty the Tsaritsa believe that you could be a useful asset to us, traveler. So, what do you say?"
"You got to be kidding me", Paimon started. "You Fatui have been up to no good ever since we started our journey! Do you really think the traveler is going to…
"If I become a Fatui Harbinger, will you tell me what you know about my brother?"
"What", Paimon exclaimed. "Traveler, you're not serious, are you?"
"It will take more than simply becoming a Harbinger", the Jester replied. "You will need to prove to us that you are willing to help with our cause."
"But", I started. "If I do, then you'll tell me about my brother?
"You have my word", the Jester stated.
Then, I began thinking about my answer.
"Fine. I'll become a Fatui Harbinger."
"You'll what", Paimon exclaimed in shock.
Meanwhile, the Jester smiled wickedly at me once more.
"Excellent", he said, before standing up. "Then I will go and inform the other Harbingers that you will be joining our ranks. I wonder that their reactions will be."
After the Jester said this, he went to the front door before opening it for me.
I walked outside, and when I did, I spotted Childe; who had a shocked expression on his face.
"You were eavesdropping, weren't you Childe", I asked.
"I was", Childe replied. "And I can't believe my ears. Comrade, are you actually going to become a Fatui harbinger?"
"I thought you'd be happy to hear this news, Tartaglia", the Jester said. "After all, now you'll get to work alongside the traveler. I've heard that you two are pretty close."
"Where'd you hear that", Childe asked.
"That isn't your concern", the Jester stated. "Now then, I must get going. Traveler, I will summon someone to retrieve you once all the preparations have been made. Until then."
With that, the jester left.
"Traveler", Paimon started. "Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, this is the Fatui Harbingers we're talking about! They've been up to no good since we've met them, and now you're gonna join them?!"
"I have to, Paimon", I stated. "The Jester has information on my brother. I have to find out what he knows, no matter what the cost!"
"So that's why you're doing this", Childe said in realisation. "When I was listening in on your conversation, I heard you say that…your brother used to live with the Jester? Is that true?"
After being asked this…I sighed in defeat.
"I don't know the whole story", I revealed. "And that's why I need to get that information from the Jester."
"But…", Childe started. "Are you sure about this, comrade?"
Before I could finish…someone called out to Childe.
I then turned around, and saw a Fatui agent…with Anton?
"Brother Ajax", he said before racing up to Childe.
"Anton", he said in shock. "What are you doing here?"
"Mom sent me here to come find you", Anton replied. "Sister Anastasia is gonna have her baby!"
"What", Childe exclaimed in shock. "Anastasia went into labor?!"
"Anastasia", Paimon repeated. "Wait a minute? Is she your other sister? The one who got married at moved out of the house?"
"Yep", Anton replied, before suddenly grabbing onto me and Childe's hands. "Come on! We gotta go!
