Chapter 7 The Whole Family
Lumine's POV

Childe and Anton led me to an unfamiliar house. Once we were inside, I saw Teucer playing with two children, as well as two men comforting another one.

"There you are, Ajax", one of them greeted as we walked closer to them.

Then, the other one noticed me.

"You must be the traveler", he greeted. "It's nice to finally meet you. We're Ajax's older brothers, and this is our brother in law; the soon to be dad."

"It's very nice to meet you", I greeted.

"Nice to meet you", Paimon greeted, before looking at the children. "Who are these kids?"

"Those are my brothers' children", Childe revealed.

"Wow", Paimon said in awe. "So that means you're an uncle, Childe?"

"That's right", Childe replied.

Then, Tonia came rushing down the stairs.

"Sister Anastasia is ready to push", she revealed excitedly.

Then, the soon to be father took a deep breath.

"Okay", he said. "I'm coming, honey!"

With that, the soon to be father rushed upstairs.

Then, Tonia suddenly rushed up to me before grabbing onto my hand.

"Come on, traveler", she exclaimed, before she began pulling me forward.

"Me", I asked in shock.

Then, Tonia pulled me upstairs and into a room.

When we got there, I saw Childe's mother and two other woman (who were probably Childe's sister-in-laws) surrounding a bed. On the bed was another woman, who was breathing heavily and covered in sweat.

"Sister Anastasia", Tonia started. "This is the traveler Brother Ajax always talks about in his letters."

"Oh", Anastasia started. "So you're the one my brother is always talking about. It's very nice to…"

Before Anastasia could finish…she suddenly let out a yell of pain.

"Are you okay", Paimon asked in concern.

"Con…traction", Anastasia breathed out. "Mother, how much longer until this baby is out of me?"

"I can see the head", Childe's mother replied excitedly. "It's almost over, sweetheart. Now then, on the count of three, I want to push. Ready? One, two, three, push!"

With that, Anastasia let a very loud yell of pain.

But then…that yell of pain was replaced…with the sound of a baby's cries.

I looked down…and saw said baby in Childe's mother's arms.

"Awe", Paimon said. "They look so cute!"

"Congratulations sweetheart", Childe's mother said to Anastasia. "It's a beautiful baby boy."

With that, Childe's mother put the baby into Anatasia's arms.

As the new parents looked at their baby in awe, the boys entered the room.

"Is it a boy or a girl", Teucer asked excitedly.

"It's a boy", Anatasia replied.

"Yes", Anton exclaimed excitedly.

"A boy", a familiar face said as he walked into the room. "How wonderful."

"Papa", Anatasia said in shock. "What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be resting in the other room?"

"This is a wonderful moment for our family", Childe's father said. "We should all be together for it."

With that, Childe's mother helped her husband to sit closer to the baby.

As I watched the family gather around the baby, I started feeling overwhelmed.

While everyone was distracted…I quietly snuck out into the hall and leaned against the wall.

"You okay, girlie", I heard, before looking up and seeing Childe.

"I'm fine", I replied. "I'm just…not used to being surrounded by such a big family.

"You're not", Childe asked.

"No", I replied. "It's always been just me and my brother."

"Really", Childe asked in shock. "No wonder he's so important to you."

"Yes", I said. "And that is why I'm willing to become a Fatui Harbinger. I must do whatever I can to find him!"

"I see", Childe said. "Well then, I'll do what I can to help you out."

"Help me out", I asked.

"Yes", Childe replied. "Many of the Harbingers have their own objectives, and they may try and use you to achieve them. But, if do…I'll protect you, girlie."

"You'll…project me", I asked in shock.

"Of course", Childe replied. "After all, we're comrades."

After hearing this, a smile came to my face.

"Of course", Childe started. "You're so strong, you may not even need my protection."

"Yeah", I said jokingly. "Thank you, Childe."
