Episode 66: Fusion Frenzy

November 16th 8:00 p.m. (One Month Ago)

Inside the Maheswaran Residence Connie was sitting down on the couch in the living room with both of her parents sitting in front of her in separate chairs. Silence filled the living room with only the ticks of the clock remaining audible. Holding her arms in her hands Connie directed her eyes on the carpet floor. Every second that passed made her mind ache and her heart beat at an abnormal pace. Her greatest fear had officially come into reality.

"Young Lady." Priyanka said calmly, but firmly.

Hearing her mother's voice Connie slowly raised her head up, making eye contact with her.

"Do you have any idea how insane and mortifying it is to find out that our daughter has been going out risking her life and fighting monsters with the Guardians?" Priyanka asked.

"I...I..." Connie tried to speak, but the words wouldn't form.

"Connie, why would you lie to us about something this serious?" Doug asked calmly.

Connie's grip on her hands increased. Her eyes shifted from her mother to her father as her body started shaking. She bit her lower lip with a unshakable amount of guilt entered her stomach. What was she going to say? What could she say? Her body continued to shake as then closed her eyes. Taking a breath she slowly decreased the grip on herself as he body stopped shaking. Opening her eyes she gazed at her parents.

"I...I had to lie." Connie admitted.

Priyanka and Doug looked at each other before looking back at their daughter.

"Did Green tell you to lie?" Priyanka asked.

Connie quickly shook her head. "No. No, everyone told me not to lie. But...I chose to do it anyway. Because... Because if I did tell either of you...you wouldn't let me hang out with Steven anymore."

Seeing the sorrow in her daughter's eyes Priyanka's stern expression began to deplete. Doug frowned as he looked at how sad his daughter was.

"Are... Are me and your father too controlling on you?" Priyanka asked carefully.

Connie adverted her eyes for a moment and then turned them back to her parents. She then gave them a nod. "It's just... I know you both are doing what's best for me, but...I can take care of myself now. And...this is really what I want to do. It will be dangerous, but I can handle it."

Without saying a word both Priyanka and Doug stood up from their seats and walked toward the couch. They both sat down, side-by-side while keeping their eyes on their daughter. They both raised their hands and placed them onto Connie's, making her look at both of them.

"Is this truly how you feel?" Doug asked.

Connie gave her father a nod.

Priyanka released a long sigh. "Okay."

Connie then turned to her mother with widened eyes.

"You're father and I will...take a step back on the rules. And allow to do this." Priyanka said.

Connie blinked at her mother, then both of her parents slightly increased their grip on their daughter's hands.

"It really scares me that you can't talk to us." Priyanka admitted. "As a doctor it scares me to death whenever I see children injured or on the verge of dying. It always makes me think of you."

"I think the same way whenever I'm out in the streets." Doug admitted. "There were times when I'd see underage kids smoke, drink, or engage in activities they're too young to do. I don't want you doing those things either."

"We just wanted to protect you, honey." Priyanka said softly. "Parents have to been their went their kids are in over their heads. Some don't care too much about what their children do, but your father and I do care what you do. And ...we'll let you do this if this is what you really want. But...don't lie to us about anything serious again, okay?"

Connie's lips slowly stretched into a small smile. "I will."

With that conformation both Priyanka and Doug wrapped their arms around their daughter.

"We love you, Connie." Priyanka said sweetly.

"We love you so much." Doug added.

Connie's smile grew as her cheeks blushed. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the embraced provided by her parents. "I love you both too."

December 15th 1:00 p.m.

Through the usage of the Warp Pad Steven, Connie, and Peridot arrived at their destination.

"Whoa..." Connie said in awe. "What is this place?"

"This...Connie...is the Alpha Kindergarten." Peridot answered.

Connie stared at the area with wonder while Peridot and Steven looked at it with uncertainty and gloom. Raising her arm Peridot's Limb-Enhancer fingers began to rotate, making her rising into the air and push herself to the ground below. Watching her go Steven and Connie looked at each other and nodded before they took each other's hand and carefully slid down the slope of the terrain. Reaching the bottom their hands separated as Peridot made her landing.

"Wait. If this is Alpha...is there a Beta, Gamma, and Delta?" Connie asked.

Peridot turned to her with widened eyes, "Were you told about them?"

Connie blinked, "Uh...no. Just asking."

"There are." Steven said. Walking ahead of her he directed his attention onto a destroyed Injector. "And these places were where Gems are born."

Connie slowly walked up to him as she looked at the machinery. She opened her mouth, but soon closed it. It was best to just keep what she was going to say to herself.

"Umm...I'm glad you decided to come with us, Peridot." Connie said.

Peridot huffed as she closed her arms and turned her head away. "It's not like I wanted to come. My communication time with Ronaldo was completed and I had nothing else to do in my spare time."

Steven turned to Peridot and smiled. "C'mon, Peri. You're glad to be here."

Peridot groaned as she continued looking away. "In any case, have you deciphered our objective?"

Steven gasped and reached into his pocket before grabbing what was inside and pulling it out. Peridot walked up to him as the trio took a look at the object in Steven's hand. It was a card, but it showed a large gray cloud with the letter A on it and a scythe below it.

"I found that this morning on my bedside." Connie said as she reached into her pocket, pulling out a small sheet of paper. "There was this note beside it." Clearing her throat and opened her mouth, "Come to the place of beginnings. Your first trial shall begin."

"Well...Alpha is known to mean beginning in Greek, so that made me think of the Alpha Kindergarten. As for the scythe, I think it means we have to go find Onyx." Steven replied.

"Well that's not so hard. Onyxs are known to enjoy solitude and very depressing settings. This area is the perfect place for that." Peridot added.

With that confirmation Steven and Connie put away their items and began walking. Peridot followed and locked her eyes onto the area around them.

Walking among the area Connie shifted her eyes from left to right, witnessing various Injectors destroyed beyond repair. Her eyes also pointed themselves at the myriad of holes on the landscapes walls. It didn't take long for her to understand that these holes were where Gems were born from. Although...the sight of them did make her ponder on what the other locations would look like.

Steven kept his eyes open and straight on the path they were on. However the more he walked the more his stomach began to twist. He had eaten breakfast this morning and it was way too early for lunch. He raised his hand onto his shirt and slowly gripped it. Coming here...or the other Kindergartens didn't really put him in the best of moods. And...it begged the question on why they needed to come here in the first place.

Peridot raised her arm and placed the other onto it while her fingers formed a firing position. Coming back to the Alpha Kindergarten had brought back some bad memories for her. She pointed her arm at the holes, keeping her guard up. Even though this place was ancient, it didn't mean there couldn't be any surprises around the corner.

The trio soon came to a complete stop. An eerie sound started to enter their ears. From each direction the trio turned to see where it was coming from. Little by little the sound was getting louder and louder, making the trio place their backs against each other. Steven quickly summoned his shield while Connie drew out her sword. Peridot charged up an energy sphere in her fingers and increased it's size the louder the sound got.

Then...the noise stopped.

The kids gulped while Peridot observed their surroundings. The seconds passed...and the noise didn't come back. The trio sighed and lowered their weapons.

"Sounded like something out of a horror movie." Connie said.

Steven giggled, "No kidding. For a moment I thought that something was-"

Steven wasn't given a chance to reply as a large black portal erupted in front of them. Within the portal the sound from before returned and a spinning object was hurled right out of it.

Without a word the trio instant jumped out of the way, making the object spin back into the portal. Keeping their eyes on it the trio quiet watched a figure walk right out of it before it closed up. In his hands the figure held two scythe blades in his hands, connected by a long chain.

Steven gasped as he quickly stood up from the ground. "Kambaba?"

"You know him?" Connie asked as she stood up.

"He's a fusion of Kameron and Onyx." Steven answered.

Peridot's eyes shot open while she stood up and saw the man close to her. A Gem fused with a human? That's impossible. Yet...the more Peridot looked at him the more it became clear to her on how it was possible.

"Were you the one who left me that card?" Connie asked.

Kambaba nodded.

"Why have you brought us here?" Steven asked.

Kambaba soon spread his arms out and began to twirl his scythe-blades, making that eerie sound once more. He continued to twirl his weapon while staring at the trio with a blank expression.

"Aren't you going to answer?" Peridot asked. "Why bring us here?"

Gripping onto the chains of his weapon Kambaba pulled his left arm back and threw his scythe-blade at Peridot. Seeing the weapon come her way Peridot quickly got out of way, making the weapon miss it's target.

Steven and Connie watched in shock at what just happened, but before either of them could say a word a black portal appeared right below Kambaba, making him drop into it before it closed up.

Another portal came right beside Connie, making her jump back as Kambaba came out of it and raised up his scythe-blade. Pulling up her sword Connie watched as both weapons came into contact. A small grunt exited her mouth from the weight right as Kambaba slid his leg against hers, causing her to trip and fall on her butt. He then spun himself around and brought down his other scythe onto her. However, right as it was coming to her Connie quickly rolled out of the way before picking herself up.

Gripping her sword she jogged up to Kambaba and raised up her sword before bringing it down on him. Crossing both of his arms Connie's blade impacted the metal. Pushing the sword away Kambaba raised his leg and aimed it right at Connie, making contact with her stomach and pushing her far away from him.

"Connie!" Steven yelled watching Connie crash into the ground. Turning his head he narrowed his eyes onto Kambaba, "Why are you doing this?"

Kambaba merely turned to Steven and calmly walked toward him. Right as he got close he dashed up to him, raising up a scythe-blade. Seeing it come Steven quickly raised up his shield right as it made contact. Removing his scythe-blade Kambaba twisted his body, lifting up his leg and kicking the shield. The sheer force from the kick made Steven drag his feet through the ground until he tripped on a rock and fell on his back.

Turning his head Kambaba looked over at Peridot. Without a word Peridot pointed her arm and him, firing an energy sphere at him. Seeing it come at him Kambaba quietly shifted his body to the left, making the energy sphere pass him before it came up to a destroyed Injector, causing an explosion to erupt.

Peridot was left flabbergasted. He just... He just moved his body... That's it...

Without wasting another second Kambaba dashed up to her while bending his body. Once he got close to her he pulled his body back, lifting his body and flipping himself in the air while kicking Peridot's chin. On contact Peridot was pushed into the air before falling down onto her back.

Turning around he pointed his eyes onto Connie, whom was picking herself off the ground and tightly gripping her sword. Her eyes glared at Kambaba while she gritted her teeth.

"I now know who you are. I don't know what you want. But you brought us here for a reason, haven't you?" Connie asked.

Kambaba blinked at her and started walking.

"Steven said you're a fusion of Kameron and Onyx. If that's true then please let them out. Kameron! Onyx! Can you hear me!?" Connie called out.

Kambaba tilted his head at her. He continued walking up to her while twirling his scythe-blades.

Not getting a response Connie kept her guard up and charged at him. Halting his weapon Kambaba lifted his leg and stomped onto the ground, causing green and black crystals to rise up and clamp onto Connie's legs. Stopping in place Connie quickly looked down at the crystals creeping onto her and looked up to see Kambaba staring down at her.

His gaze... The way he was looking at her... Connie was unable to speak while Kambaba raised his weapon up to her throat.

"Kambaba, stop!" Steven yelled.

"Step away from her!" Peridot added.

Neither of their yelled had any effect on Kambaba as he slowly pushed his weapon on Connie, making a small leak of blood drip out.

"W-What do you want?" Connie asked carefully.

Kambaba blinked at her while looking into her eyes. Right here and now he could go a step forward and show her more of what he was capable of. However...the look in her eyes... There was a small flicker. He's seen that flicker. Well, technically not himself, but the memory of that flicker rang in his mind.

Closing his eyes Kambaba dismissed his weapon and released Connie's legs from his grasp. Reaching into his pocket he held out an object to her.

Connie looked at it to see it was another card. Taking it from him a black portal appeared behind Kambaba.

"You may proceed." Kambaba said as he walked into the portal right when it closed.

Connie was confused and looked down at the card in her hand.

"Connie!" Steven called as he and Peridot ran up to her. Spotting her injury Steven gasped, "Hold still, I'll heal it." He added as he licked his thumb and placed it onto her neck.

Though a little grossed out on the fact that this was how Steven was able to heal, Connie accepted it as the mark on her throat started to disappear.

"You okay?" Steven asked worriedly.

Connie nodded, "Yeah. Although I don't fully understand why Kambaba would fight us. I thought calling Kameron and Onyx would do something to him, but nothing happened."

Steven looked at her worriedly before cupping his chin. He is fully aware that whenever two or more different Gems fuse they became a different person entirely. That part was true, yet the new being would have memories of their components. Kambaba was still a new fusion and there wasn't any knowledge about him that he knew about. Which also made Steven wonder exactly why they were brought here to begin with.

"For now we have another card." Peridot pointed out as she took the card from Connie. Looking at it she hummed at the imagery, show her what looked a large canyon with the letter B at the top and two weapons at the bottom. One showed a large sphere connected to a chain while the other was a long stick with a ball at the top of it covered in spikes. "I think I know where we need to go next."

December 15th 1:30 p.m.

Arriving at their destination via the Warp Pad, the trio had made to the Beta Kindergarten.

"Whoa. This is Beta?" Connie said.

"Affirmative." Peridot replied, stepping off of the Warp Pad.

Making their way into the canyon the trio kept their eyes open while keeping their weapons up. That interaction with Kambaba was enough for them to know not to drop their guard. Further and further they walked the trio wasn't noticing anything in the area. Even though the sun was out, a small breeze was passing by, making Steven and Connie shiver.

Coming up to a cross-road the trio headed to the right and remained vigilant.

"Was there anything specific that happened here?" Connie asked around.

"This was where Amethyst, Citrine, and Bismuth defeated Jasper." Steven answered. "She was caging up Corrupted to built an army."

Connie turned her head to him with shocked eyes, "Seriously!?"

"Unfortunately, that was true." Peridot chipped in. "This was also where those three tried to apprehend me and failed, yet succeed in defeating one of Home-World's best warriors."

"Best...warriors?" Connie questioned.

"Jasper was born in this very Kindergarten. She was born perfectly and had fought in countless battles throughout her existence." Peridot answered. "Although she is a top-ranked class warrior, she wasn't the only one. I do not know all of the details, but what matters now is that she's contained."

That was something everyone could agree on.

Up ahead the trio saw a figure sitting down on the sands of the canyon. The figure was huge with a mohawk-mullet combo hairstyle, wearing a large fur coat, heterochromic eyes, and...eating some chili-fries. Slowly approaching him the trio took notice of a large mace sitting right beside him as he continued eating. Looking up the man took notice of the trio, but as he did he instantly went back to eating.

"Uh...hello?" Steven said, carefully approaching the man.

Chewing his food the man looked at Steven and swallowed. "Hello, Steven."

Steven gasped, "You... You know my name?"

The man nodded while shoving more hot chili-fries into his mouth.

"Who are you?" Connie asked while coming up to Steven's side.

Swallowing his food the man looked at Connie. "Call me...Carnelian."

Hearing his name Peridot scoffed. "Please. There's no way you can be a Carnelian. The Carnelians I've seen are way bigger than you."

Carnelian narrowed his eyes at Peridot while putting the last remaining chili-fries in his mouth. Chewing them up he then swallowed them and released a satisfied sigh. Summoning some napkins from his circular Gemstone on his body he wiped his hands and mouth before putting the used napkins and empty tray into his Gemstone. Uncrossing his legs Carnelian placed his feet on the sand and picked himself up. Standing up straight the trio took a step back at the sheer size the man really was.

"Peridot, I think you made him mad." Steven said while raising his shield up.

Grabbing his mace with one hand Carnelian closed his eyes and opened his mouth.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A large orange aura surrounded his body with violent winds dispersing out of him. The winds continued picking up while he yelled. The winds soon went straight to the trio, pushing them away from Carnelian without him even putting a finger on them. Crashing into the ground the trio groaned at the impact, but...quickly raised themselves up once the winds began calming down.

Carnelian soon stopped screaming with his aura disappearing as a result. He continued narrowing his eyes at the trio and summoned his other hand to his mace, gripping on it tightly.

"Run."

That was the trio's only warning right as Carnelian raised up his mace and slammed it right onto the ground. Right on impact cracks immediately began to surge through the landscape, crumbling it by the second and making their way to the trio. Watching it come to them Peridot lifted her arms into the air while both Steven and Connie embraced her. Peridot's Limb-enhancer fingers spun at a rapid pace, bringing the trio into the air as fast as possible.

Down below the trio witnessed the cracks from Carnelian's attack travel further through Beta, causing portions of it to crumble and every destroyed Injector break apart. More and more of the landscape started to rumble, breaking it apart and leaving nothing behind but broken stones and metal.

"Oh... My... Diamond..." Peridot said breathlessly.

"He... He did all that...just by swinging his mace once?" Connie added in disbelief.

"He's way too dangerous!" Steven concluded.

"Carnelian ain't the only one who's dangerous, baby."

Steven gasped. That voice. That voice... He's heard it before. Turning his head another gasp left his mouth.

Turning their heads Connie and Peridot looked at his direction and saw what he was seeing. Standing right above the canyon was...Sugilite.

Sugilite grinned at the airborne trio while she was swinging her flail. "It's been a long time since we've seen each other, Steven. And look at you, growing up by the second. I think it's time we catch up like old times."

Twirling her flail she then threw it right at the trio. Steven quickly summoned a large bubble, surrounding it around himself, Connie, and Peridot. Sugilite's flail soon made contact with the bubble, shattering it instantly and pushing the trio away from the shockwave. Each of them yelled while spinning in the air and harshly landing on top of them canyon. Various groans exited their mouths right when Sugilite jumped over the gap of the canyon and made her way toward them. Carnelian soon jumped into the air and landed at the top, following the juggernaut.

"Mmmmhh. Feels good to be back." Sugilite hummed. "Especially since I get to be apart of this little event."

"Don't get too comfortable, Sugilite." Carnelian replied. "The moment you start acting out I'm taking care of you."

Sugilite scoffed right as they stopped in front of the trio, "Don't tell me what to do, beefcake. Besides, you'e strong, but you can't handle all of me."

Carnelian looked up at the juggernaut with a cocked eyebrow. His eyes traveled up and down as he examined her and her weapon. With no need to respond to her he turned his attention back on the trio.

"*groan* W-Who is that?" Connie said as she struggled to get up.

"That's...Sugilite. She's a fusion of Amethyst and Garnet. But she's also very, very dangerous. Last time she was brought out she nearly killed Pearl."

Connie gasped as she turned to the large Fusion. Sugilite merely shrugged at her.

"So how exactly are we gonna deal with two strong Gems?" Peridot said frantically.

Steven soon shifted his attention from Peridot onto the strong Fusions. Last time Pearl was able to beat Sugilite by... Steven's pupils soon turned into stars as the answer was right in front of him. He then turned to Connie.

"We can beat them...by being strong in the real way!" Steven said strongly.

Connie blinked at him. Her expression was shifted into confusion, but as she turned from Steven to the Fusions she was catching on to what he was talking about. With her free hand she placed it into Steven's. Shortly after a pink light engulfed them both and from that light Stevonnie took center stage.

"Peridot. We're gonna need you too." Stevonnie said, pointing their sword at the Fusions.

Peridot's eyes expanded. Her...taking down two strong Fusions after just witnessing what they're capable of? Seeing at how these Fusions were the key to understanding what was going on despite the odds against her, Peridot looked at Stevonnie with uncertainty. Looking down at her hands she slowly gripped her non-fingers. She wasn't born for this. She was a technician, not a warrior. Yet...she's experienced events technicians haven't. Maybe...there was more to her than just being a technician.

Turning to Stevonnie Peridot gave her a nod and directed her attention onto the Fusions. Lifting both of her arms out and connecting them together her Limb-enhancer fingers started spinning at a rapid-pace. A massive electrical sphere began to develop. It began to expand more and more, growing from the size of a basketball to the size of a beach-ball. Right as Peridot reached it's maximum size she then fired it right at Sugilite.

Watching the large electrical sphere coming right at her, Sugilite brought up her free hands and flicked it to the side.

Peridot dropped her jaw, watching her attack going into the opposite direction until it hit the lower parts of the canyon, creating a large hole in it.

"My turn." Sugilite said as she twirled her flail.

Sugilite then threw it right at Peridot. Right as it was about to make contact Stevonnie jumped in, tackling Peridot before the flail could hit her. Hitting the ground Stevonnie picked up Peridot and narrowed their eyes at the Fusions.

"Peridot. We need to get airborne." Stevonnie said.

"Why?" Peridot replied.

"Just trust me. We've go an eye."

Without giving them a response Peridot rotated her Limb-enhancer fingers while holding onto Stevonnie and traveling up into the sky. Sugilite and Carnelian watched them go higher and higher right until Peridot stopped rotating her fingers.

Shifting their bodies both Stevonnie and Peridot began descending back to the ground. Locking their eyes onto Sugilite Stevonnie summoned a huge bubble as it began spinning. While it spun spikes started erupting out of the bubble.

Watching her target coming to her Sugilite bent her legs and jumped straight into the air. Pulling her flail back she then threw it at the spiked-bubble. Closer and closer the flail was getting until it touched the bubble, breaking it apart and making Stevonnie and Peridot come out of it. But...Sugilite's smirk quickly faded once she saw Peridot launch a large electric sphere at her. With no time to react the electric sphere soon impacted Sugilite's face.

"UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!" Sugilite screamed

Seeing their chance Peridot pushed Stevonnie toward the juggernaut with her leg, making Stevonnie rocket herself forward. Their eyes began to glow pink the closer they got to Sugilite. Raising their sword Stevonnie rapidly slashed it at Sugilite's forehead eye. A large gap opened up from the eye, causing Sugilite to scream even more as Peridot grabbed Stevonnie while hovering in the air.

Falling from the sky Sugilite soon crashed into the lower part of the canyon. Opening her eyes her sight was slightly blurry from Peridot's attack, but she didn't need it to be clear when seeing her own flail coming at her.

"Not again." Sugilite murmured right when her weapon hit her face.

POOF!

On impact Sugilite was then poofed, leaving both Amethyst and Garnet laying in the sands.

Stevonnie and Peridot soon made it back to the ground, but little did they know that they had forgot about someone. The moment they landed back on the ground Carnelian came rushing toward them with his mace in hand. Seeing him come the duo quickly separated themselves, making the behemoth pass by them. Stopping in his tracks he turned around and slammed his mace into the ground, sending a wave of orange crystals in his wake.

Jumping out of the way again the duo crashed into the ground, but quickly recovered and pointed their attention onto Carnelian.

"Great. How are we gonna defeat him?" Stevonnie said out loud.

"We can try overpowering him?" Peridot suggested.

Looking at both Stevonnie and Peridot Carnelian lifted his mace up. Gripping on it with both hands his eyes began to glow orange. Increasing his grip he raised his weapon up high and right as he attempt to slam it onto the ground again Stevonnie twisted their body and threw their shield at him. Seeing it come right at him without being given a moment to react, the shield soon hit Carnelian's head.

"UGH!" Carnelian yelled.

The impact of the shield made him weaken his grip and release his mace while he himself started tumbling back. Shaking his head he opened his eyes to see both Peridot and Steven running him to him. Leaping into the air the duo stretched their legs out, aiming their feet right into his face. The sheer amount of force in their kicks made him tumble back even further right as he tripped onto a rock and crashed on his back.

Letting out some groans Carnelian lifted his head, only to see Peridot pointing a electric sphere at his face.

"We are the victors here. You lose." Peridot pointed out.

Carnelian blink at her for a moment and hummed. "I lose. You've passed."

Stevonnie soon placed their sword on their back while dismissing their shield. "What is this all about, Carnelian? Why were you and Sugilite fighting us?"

Pushing himself up he reaching into his pocket and pulled out a card. He then handed it to the victors.

"You'll find you're answers soon." Carnelian said as Stevonnie took the card. "For now, keep going."

Right when they wanted to ask him more questions Carnelian summoned out a Warp Whistle and blew into it, warping himself away.

Pulling up the card to their faces, Stevonnie and Peridot saw an imagery of two waterfalls on each side of the card with the letter G at the top. At the bottom were images of a bow with several wings around it. Right as they were going to leave Stevonnie went to the edge of the upper-canyon to check on Amethyst and Garnet, but when they got there both Gems disappeared. More questions starting entering their mind, but they'll find the answer at their next destination.

December 15th 2:30 p.m.

Leaving the Beta Kindergarten both Stevonnie and Peridot arrived at the Gamma Kindergarten.

Moving along Stevonnie raised the card up to her vision. "Okay, Gamma was pretty easy to deduce since it's the only Kindergarten with water around it, but the bow with wings around it...We're not too sure about."

"The only ones in our factions with wings are Lapis and Azurite. Anyone you know who is capable of using a bow?" Peridot replied.

Stevonnie hummed while cupping their chin. Gathering their thoughts their memories began to swirl around in their heads. A bow... A bow... Honestly, the only Gem they know that can use a bow is-

*Click*

Gasps left Stevonnie and Peridot, making them stop in place. Pulling out their sword and summoning their shield Stevonnie and Peridot went back to back. From left to right the duo carefully looked around their surroundings. Up or below the trees the duo directed their eyes to where the source of that sound came from. It then started getting quiet again. Way, way too quiet.

"I really don't like this kind of setting." Peridot said, tightly holding onto her right arm.

"Me neither." Stevonnie replied. "SHOW YOURSELVES! WE KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE, SO STOP HIDING AND TELL US WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!"

Peridot turned her head with a flabbergasted expression.

*Click*

The sound soon came to their ears, but just as either of them attempted to say something a small beam of light passed above them.

"Augh!" Stevonnie yelled.

"Stevonnie!" Peridot yelled, turning to her comrade.

Falling onto one knee Stevonnie raised her hand to her cheek, but when she touched it she jerked her hand away and hissed. Peridot looked at her to see a large mark across Stevonnie's face. Turning her head she saw the source of her comrade's mark. Closely looking at it...she saw that it was a long arrow with electricity surrounding it.

"Look at that. Not a bullseye, but close."

Turning their heads the duo saw a person in the distance walking up to them. The person was a young light-skinned woman with heterochromic eyes, her right being yellow while her left was green. She had blonde hair in pigtails with huge green accents at their tips. The woman wore a yellow-greenish shirt with a unzipped white jacket, light-blue jeans accompanied with a light yellow belt, green-yellowish shoes, lime-green fingerless gloves, and a cowgirl hat with a dove symbol at it's center. Alongside that she had a yellow-greenish Gemstone on her right wrist and her right shoulder.

Stopping in her tracks the woman was wielding a large green-yellow crossbow with fresh ammo just itchin' to get fired.

"W-Who are you?" Stevonnie asked.

"Name's Tourmaline, sugah." The woman replied with a Southern Accent. "Glad you and Peridot could make it. Jus' in time fer the real fun ta begin." She added, pointing her weapon at them.

"What are you talking about?" Peridot questioned.

Tourmaline clicked her tongue, "Now why would lil old me tell ya and spoil the surprise? This is mah first rodeo gals. Make it interestin' fer me."

Pulling the trigger Tourmaline fired her weapon at them. Peridot quickly pushed herself and Stevonnie out of the way, making the arrow miss it's target.

Getting up from the ground Stevonnie licked their thumb and slid it across their cheek, healing their wound. Turning their sights onto Tourmaline they gripped their sword and in their hands. Tourmaline was a new face they've never seen before, but that didn't mean they were gonna turn tail and run. Why were these Fusions attacking them? What was it for? What is the reason behind it? Neither Stevonnie nor Peridot would know until they faced their foes and find out.

Readying themselves, Stevonnie charged toward Tourmaline. Raising their shield Tourmaline began firing a large barrage of electric arrows at them. Each arrow fired did indeed impact the shield, with some bouncing off of it and others leaving small cracks in it. Though some of their momentum decreased, Stevonnie kept going on until she came in close and jumped before kicking Tourmaline's weapon out of her hand. Still airborne they kicked her right in the chest, pushing her back and making her tumble.

"Peridot! Go!" Stevonnie called out.

Keeping her focus on Stevonnie made Tourmaline nearly forget about Peridot. Turning her head Tourmaline saw the brainy-Gem charge up a large electric sphere. Peridot soon fired her electric sphere straight at Tourmaline, but Tourmaline's lips stretched into a grin as she raised both of her arms out, keeping her arms locked at the attacking coming straight to her. Closer and closer the sphere was coming and soon it made contact with her hands, making her grunt, but her smile never disappeared. The more she held the sphere the more it began to shrink in size from a beach-ball to a basketball, soccer-ball, volleyball, baseball, and finally a tennis-ball until it vanished.

Both Stevonnie and Peridot were frozen in place as to what they just witnessed. They just saw someone take an attack head on and made it disappear like it was nothing. Just like that!

Putting her arms down a surge of electricity started circling around Tourmaline. Both of her eyes began to glow yellow as a yellow aura surround her body. Pulling her arms up she gazed at them, slowing moving her fingers while keeping her eyes on Peridot.

"Thanks, hun. You really got meh energized now. Allow me ta pay ya back in full." Tourmaline said as she cuffed her hands together.

Pulling them back a small yellow electric sphere began to form in her hands and started getting bigger and bigger by the second. Once the sphere contacted her hands Tourmaline threw them forward, unleashing a massive blast of electric energy.

TTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Watching the blast come to her Peridot couldn't move. She couldn't speak, she could do anything right here, right now. The only thing she could do at the moment was stand still and allow the blast to come to her. And unfortunately, that was exactly what happened. Stevonnie couldn't do anything either, but watch the blast happen and target Peridot. The blast soon hit Peridot and passed right through her until it vanished when coming up to a nearby tree. A long scorched line was formed through Tourmaline's attack, leaving nothing but Peridot's Gemstone on the ground and her Limb-enhancers scattered around it.

"PERIDOT!" Stevonnie screamed.

Lowering her arms Tourmaline started walking through the scorched grass and look down at Peridot's Gemstone. Reaching her hand out she grabbed the Gemstone in he hand. Turning around she showed it to Stevonnie.

Okay, that's it! It didn't matter what was going on anymore! It didn't matter what all of this was for! Their friend was obliterated and that's a big no-no for them. Gritting their teeth Stevonnie glared at the person responsible for doing that horrific act to Peridot.

"TOURMALINE!" They screamed.

"THERE'S NO REASON TA YELL, HONEY!" Tourmaline screamed back. "AH CAN HEAR YA LOUD AND CLEAR! GOTCHA ALL MAD, HUH!"

Soon a black portal erupted right behind Tourmaline as she summoned several yellow-greenish tendrils to pick up Peridot's Limb-enhancers. "Let's see how ya dance in a solo act." She added, slowly entering the portal before it disappeared.

Heavy breath left Stevonnie's mouth while they tightly gripped their weapons. But just as they were going to scream again they were caught by surprise when an arrow hit the ground near them. Unlike Tourmaline's arrows, this one was larger and was completely white. Looking up in the distance they saw the one who fired it, Opal.

"Opal?" Stevonnie questioned with confusion.

Opal gave them a blank stare as she pulled her bow string back, summoning another arrow. Releasing her fingers she fired the arrow at them, but as the arrow was in midair it soon split itself into multiple arrows, making Stevonnie shot their eyes out of their sockets. Pulling up their shield their eyes started to glow pink, increasing the size of their shield while surrounding themselves in a massive bubble. Soon...the arrows made contact with the bubble. Several of them bounced right off of it while others left small cracks in it, but Stevonnie was giving it their all no matter what.

The last arrow bounced off of the bubble as more cracks were made until it ultimately broke apart. Shrinking their shield Stevonnie lowered it and saw Opal had disappeared.

"I see you're holding yourselves up quite nicely."

A new voice entered Stevonnie's ears, making them turn around to see Amazonite standing several feet away from them.

"Who *heavy breathing* are *heavy breathing* you." Stevonnie asked.

"You may call me Amazonite. I am a fusion of Kameron and Azurite." Amazonite replied.

Stevonnie blinked at her. She was... There wasn't much for Stevonnie to even say just by looking at her.

"Are you here to fight us to?" Stevonnie asked.

Amazonite nodded. She then lifted her left arm out, making her Gemstone glow and having a bottle of water come out of it. She then walked up to Stevonnie, offering the bottle to them.

"Drink this first, then we may begin. I'd rather spare with you when you're at full strength." Amazonite said kindly. "And rest assured, I did not do anything to the water."

Stevonnie looked at the water and back at Amazonite. Kambaba said nothing and nearly tried to harm Connie, Carnelian got mad when Peridot accused him of not being just like other Carnelians she's known, Tourmaline poofed Peridot, and now Amazonite was being nice to them and offering a beverage to them. Though it was smart to be on guard, Amazonite's voice was calming and sincere. Dismissing their shield Stevonnie took the bottled-water.

Putting their sword on their back Stevonnie opened the bottle and started drinking it. The moment the liquid touched their lips they closed their eyes and moaned at how good it was. The more they drank it the more their body started to get re-energized, like the battles they had before didn't even happen. Getting the last drop of the liquid into their mouth Stevonnie removed the bottle with a satisfied sigh.

"Better?" Amazonite asked.

Stevonnie nodded. "Much better. Thank you." They added, giving the bottle back to her.

Taking it Amazonite put the bottle back into her Gemstone. "Good. How are you feeling?"

Stevonnie hopped a few times and giggled a bit. "Much better than before. Way better, but...why are you being nice to me?"

Amazonite tilted her head at that. "Why wouldn't I be? You were injured and I came to help you. That's the right thing to do when someone is in trouble." She then turned around and walked several feet away before turning back around, facing Stevonnie. "Now that you're healed, we may begin." She added, summoning her three-section staff.

"We don't have to do this." Stevonnie replied, bringing their sword and shield out again.

"We're doing this because we can, Stevonnie." Amazonite said, unfolding he weapon. "Because... we must be prepared."

Spinning her weapon Amazonite spun herself around and stopped, lifting one of her legs up and pointing her weapon at her opponent. Moving themselves to the side Stevonnie pointed their blade at their opponent while keeping their shield up too.

Making the first move Amazonite dashed at them, spinning her body and sending her weapon onto their shield. She quickly and rapidly pushed herself back and forth, aiming her weapon back at the shield.

'What is she trying to do? Is she trying to break it?' Stevonnie thought as they kept their guard up.

Taking the offensive Stevonnie pushed Amazonite away, giving them some distance until they charged up, lifting their sword and striking it at her. Amazonite summoned her staff, making it connect with Stevonnie's blade. Pushing themselves back Stevonnie lowered their blade as they ran up to Amazonite and quickly brought it up to her. Seeing it coming Amazonite spun her body to the left, making Stevonnie miss her target until her target spun her arms, aiming her staff at their back. Stevonnie gawked from the hit, making them tumble forward until they eventually stopped.

"Excellent. You're getting the hang of this, but it's not enough." Amazonite said.

Stevonnie turned around to her, "What are you talking about?"

Amazonite's eyes started glowing cyan and from her back two large wings made of water were sprouted. "You must push yourself even further." She said as she took flight.

Stevonnie looked up at the Fusion, now airborne while flapping her wings. Putting themselves into a stance they narrowed their eyes onto Amazonite, watching her to see what she was going to do next. With a big of her wings Amazonite dived down below and made her way toward them. Seeing her come Stevonnie raised their shield. Amazonite spiraled her body around and around the closer she got to her opponent until she launched her staff at the shield.

CLANK!

On impact Stevonnie grunted while keeping her feet locked on the ground. They gritted their teeth as they kept their shield up while Amazonite was still airborne, looking at her opponent with a small smile. Adding some pressure made Stevonnie grunt even more while a small crack started to show itself onto the shield. Gritting their teeth even more they pushed Amazonite back and swung their sword at her. Seeing it come to her Amazonite quickly jumped away, but the blade manage to rip her clothing from her torso.

"Ha! Got you!" Stevonnie said proudly.

Amazonite looked down at her torn clothing. While slightly upset at this, her lips stretched into a smile as she looked at Stevonnie and dismissed her weapon and wings.

"Indeed you have. I yield." Amazonite said while bowing. "It is time for your final trial to commence." She added as she straighten herself and pulled out a card from her pocket.

Walking up to Stevonnie she gave them the card. Stevonnie took it out of her hand and glanced at it. The card showcased some spotlights at the top with the letter D in the middle and images of a long axe-like weapon, a hoop, a katana, a long blade, and a large hammer at the bottom.

"I have no doubt you're going to enjoy this." Amazonite said as she brought out a Warp Whistle. "And do not worry about Peridot. You will be seeing her soon." She added before blowing into the whistle, warping away.

Watching her warp away Stevonnie turned their eyes back on the card. It didn't take long for them to know where to go next.

December 15th 3:00 p.m.

With their Warp Whistle Stevonnie arrived at the last Kindergarten, the Delta Kindergarten.

"Whoa..." Stevonnie said, observing their surrounds. "So this is Delta. Kinda weird that this one is underground while the rest were out in the open."

Walking ahead Stevonnie looked up to see portions of light illuminating through the holes above. Aside from that they soon turned their attention on the several destroyed Injectors nearby. They paid no attention to them as they continued walking. Although...the more they walked the more Stevonnie felt a huge amount of guilt inside of them. It was no surprise since Delta held some pretty bad memories, mostly from Steven's side.

"I really don't like coming here." Stevonnie said nervously.

They soon stopped in their tracks while their body began to shake. "It's gonna be okay. It's okay to think about it. I saw it too."

"I wish you didn't."

Stevonnie soon closed their eyes and took a deep breath. They soon exhaled it out very, very slowly. Their body began to stop shaking as she held their arms out.

"I'm here. Always remember that I'm by your side. I know it still hurts, it hurts for me too, but we have to accept it and move on." Stevonnie said to herself.

"I understand...but...it's really painful. No matter how many times I look at this place, I keep remembering what me and Kameron did here."

"That wasn't your fault. You weren't in control of your actions. Don't beat yourself up over it."

Stevonnie hummed to themselves and slowly opened their eyes. Exhaling out some more air and lowering their arms they narrowed their eyes and nodded. What happened back then was over and done. It was still painful to think about, but...they'll need to accept it. That's the very first step to moving on.

Right when Stevonnie started walking again they immediately stopped in their tracks at the sound of clapping. Turning themselves around they gasped at the sight of Sardonyx slowly approaching them.

"Lovely. Truly, truly lovely! I am so glad I have the opportunity to me the magnificent Stevonnie. How are you, my darling?" Sardonyx asked.

Stevonnie blinked at her as they looked up at her face. "Uh...hi?"

Sardonyx soon stopped clapping as she kneeled in front of Stevonnie, "Oh, darling, you shouldn't be shy when around me. After all...I'm here to give you your final trial. But...in order for us to engage in it, I must ask. Are you ready to fully spread your wings?"

Stevonnie nodded without any hesitation, "Whatever you've got, I'm game."

"Fufufufu." Sardonyx chuckled while covering her mouth. "That's what I like to hear. I believe the show is now ready to begin."

From Sardonyx's Gemstone on her forehead it began to illuminate with a large book coming out of it. Using her upper-arms she took hold of the book and opened it up. "For my first act, I think a change of scenery is in order. Imagination from within the universe, bring us to a destination we may freely traverse."

Upon her chant the book began to glow and a huge gush of air burst right out of it. Both Stevonnie and Sardonyx started glowing and soon enough...they were sucked into the book.

Stevonnie began to scream as they were spiraling down a huge twister below. In her surroundings there wasn't a sight of Sardonyx around. Though they'll have to save that thought for later since they were kinda falling to their impending doom at the moment.

Below them a portal opened up, making them fall right into it and crash straight onto solid ground. Recovering from the fall Stevonnie lifted their head to see the location they were dunked into.

All around they found themselves in a large arena with various torches surrounding them. More than that, their was a large cage surrounding the place. Outside of the cage was nothing but water and statues of monsters holding weapons.

"Okay, a cage match. Bring it on!" Stevonnie said strongly.

"Glad to hear that!"

Gasping at the sound of that familiar voice, Stevonnie looked up to see none other than Bixbite falling right onto the cage with a single fist out. When he got close his fist burst right through the metal of the cage, allowing him access inside. Shifting his body his feet soon made contact with ground, making him bend his body forward before he straightened himself up.

"Bixbite!" Stevonnie called, making him turn his eyes onto him.

Without responding Bixbite dashed straight up to Stevonnie and pulled his arm back before launching it at them. Watching it come to them Stevonnie quickly pulled their shield up, but once they did that Bixbite's fist impacted the shield and greatly pushed them away from him. Having their feet getting dragged through the ground Stevonnie gawked as their back soon hit the metal, but things wouldn't stop there when Bixbite dashed at them again, wanting to deliver another punch.

Watching him come at them, Stevonnie rapidly dodged the punch, watching it smash right through the metal cage.

"Geez, Bixbite! Cool your jets!" Stevonnie yelled.

Pulling his fist back both his wrist Gemstone and pectoral Gemstone started to glow. Kameron's sword and Pyrope's axe emerged out of the Gemstones before coming together and merging as one. Combined, both weapon formed a long poleaxe with the blade getting covered in flames. Twirling his newfound weapon Bixbite soon slammed it on the ground, sending a surging of flames at Stevonnie.

Jumping out of the way of his attack, Stevonnie began running up to Bixbite, raising their sword and slashing it at him.

Pulling up his poleaxe, Stevonnie made contact with it. He then quickly pushed their blade away and kicked them in the chest, making them tumble back and giving him an opening right as he leaped forward, deliver a hard punch right into their face with his free hand. The sheer attack sent Stevonnie back and incredible speeds until they hit the cage walls again.

Stevonnie winced and groaned at the attack Bixbite put on them. Lifting their hand they touched their nose and felt blood dripping out of it. Their eyes widened right as they lifted their head to see Bixbite walking to them with both hands clamped onto his weapon.

'Is... Is he really trying to hurt us?' Stevonnie thought to themselves. 'No... no, no, they wouldn't. They-' Stevonnie's eyes widened even further when they recalled how Pyrope was treating Connie the same way he'd treat Kameron during training. That recollection was enough for them to see how Bixbite was treating them now.

Lifting their shield and summoning a bubble Stevonnie watched Bixbite continue walking up to them calmly. He then clicked his tongue a few times and stopped near the bubble. Pulling his poleaxe back he put his whole weight into one big swing, slamming it on the bubble. On impact...the bubble shattered and pushed Stevonnie back, but they were given time to recover when the moment they opened their eyes Bixbite sent his knee right into their face, crashing them through the cage and sending them into the water depths below.

Watching them plummet Bixbite turned around and walked away.

In the watery depths Stevonnie quickly closed their mouth as they were descending deeper and deeper down. Their body couldn't move at the moment, making it impossible for them to swim back up.

However, just when it looked like they were going to drown the water started to form a current, pulling them in and making them go even deeper down.

Closing their eyes and waiting for the inevitable to happen, a bright light flashed at the bottom of the water and soon engulfed them in it.

The timely death of Steven, Connie, and Stevonnie...never came to pass.

Stevonnie soon burst out of the water and while in the air they slowly began to fall and land on something soft and squishy. They started coughing harshly, getting any water out of them while trying to adjust their vision. Slowly but surely their vision was beginning to clear up, but as it did they were soon flabbergasted at what they were seeing now.

Right below them was a large stuffed animal in the shape of a bear. But that wasn't the only one. All around them were nothing short of stuffed animals ranging from bears to bunnies, birds, foxes, wolves, piggies, and dolphins.

"Okay... How did we get here? Where is even "here" to start with?" Stevonnie said as they carefully got off the stuffed bear and landed on some soft fluff. Up above there was a sun, but it had a goofy smile on it with a large tongue sticking out of it. They giggled at the image of the sun, but shook their head and tried to focus on what to do next.

Squinting their eyes they saw a figure in the distance and made their way up to it without knowing what it could be. Reaching up to the figure Stevonnie saw that it was an unfamiliar face playing with a stuffed animal in the shape of a dove. The figure looked up to Stevonnie and her lips slowly stretched into a smile.

"Hi, Stevonnie." The figure said sweetly.

"You...know our name?" Stevonnie asked.

The figure nodded. "I certainly do. My name's Kunzite. I'm a Fusion of Kameron and Lepidolite."

Stevonnie looked at her with a shocked expression. Of course... They should've deduced that since she too had heterochromic eyes, just like the others Fusions.

"Hey, Stevonnie. Can I tell you a secret?" Kunzite asked innocently.

Keeping their guard up Stevonnie nodded.

Kunzite placed her stuffed dove down and got up from the fluffy ground. "I love you."

Okay... That brought Stevonnie's guard down slightly as Kunzite slowly approached them with her arms behind her back.

"May I give you a hug?" Kunzite asked.

Unsure about this ordeal, Stevonnie at the very least could give her that much. Giving Kunzite a nod the twin-tailed Fusion approached them, wrapping her arms around their waist and putting her head onto their chest.

"Do you know why I told you I love you?" Kunzite asked.

"No." Stevonnie replied.

"It's because you're precious to me. And I will always love those that are precious to me." Kunzite admitted. She then increased the strength of her hug on Stevonnie. "You wanna know another secret?"

"Uh...sure?" Stevonnie replied.

Kunzite lifted her head, making Stevonnie look down at her, only when she did Kunzite's eyes started glowing pink as her lips turned into a wicked smile. "I will never ever, ever, ever let anything happen to you or those I treasure. But if you're precious to me, you have to tell me you love me too."

Getting a large unnerving vibe from her, Stevonnie placed a hand on her, trying to get her off. Unfortunately, this made Kunzite increase her hold on them as she continued looking at the with her creepy eyes and smile.

"Please get off of us." Stevonnie asked.

"Say you love me." Kunzite replied.

"Okay, okay. We love you. Now get off of us." Stevonnie said with irritation.

Kunzite's smile soon disappeared as she released herself from Stevonnie. Her eyes blinked at them with her lips quivering. Her eyes started quivering soon after. She then lowered her head, shadowing her eyes.

Seeing the opportunity despite the state Kunzite was in, Stevonnie walked right passed her and quickened her pace to get far, far away from that girl.

Traversing through the fluffy landscape Stevonnie saw a door just up ahead. Coming up to it they quickly opened it and went inside.

On the other side of the door they walked right into a large area filled with bamboo. Unlike their previous areas with a bright background, this area had a night-sky with stars above and a large crescent moon.

"Wow..." Stevonnie said in awe. "This place is beautiful."

Stopping in the middle of the area a sudden snap entered their ears. Putting up their guard they quickly shifted their eyes from one direction to the next, but found nothing around them.

Then...without warning a bright flash entered their vision and Iolite appeared right behind them wielding her katana. She slowly sheathed it back into it's scabbard and once it was fully in there a massive slash erupted onto Stevonnie, opening her clothes.

A gasp left them while they slowly turned around to see Iolite. They didn't see her coming at all nor hear her make a sound. She...cut their clothes in a single strike without making a sound at all. That...is very impressive swordsmanship.

"H-How were you able to do that?" Stevonnie asked nervously.

Turning herself around Iolite unsheathed her katana and held it with both hands while getting into a stance.

"You're about to fine out." Iolite replied seriously.

Dashing up to them Stevonnie brought up their shield, but it was all in vain as Iolite easily phased right through them, leaving them in shock and getting another opportunity to slice them. Her opportunity was reward as she sliced their backside, making a large slash mark on it and ripping it open.

Stevonnie grunted at the attack. Even though they were physically cut, they still felt the impact.

"No fair. You're cheating." Stevonnie called out.

"Is it cheating when your opponent has the advantage against you?" Iolite retorted.

Without even bothering to get an answer Iolite turned around and slashed at them again, creating another mark on their clothing.

Another grunt left Stevonnie while they turned around and slashed at her, but their blade simply went through her, leaving no damage or effect on her at the same time.

"Great..." Stevonnie moaned.

If physical attacks won't do anything to Iolite then only one option remained. Looking the other way and seeing a path up ahead Stevonnie booked it, leaving Iolite in her dust.

Running away Stevonnie kept their eyes open and made quick glances behind them, seeing no-one coming. However, up above various bamboo started getting cut and aimed themselves right at Stevonnie. One nearly got to them, making them panic and increasing their pace with more bamboo coming up.

Up ahead there was another door, only this one showed a symbol of a star with a dove inside of it. Reaching the door they quickly went inside.

Going into the door Stevonnie was met with a huge row of seats and a large stage at the center.

Appearing from a puff of smoke came Sardonyx, taking a bow with a roar of clapping hands applauding her.

"Thank you, thank you! You all are too kind. But now we've got a grande finale to pull off for our lovely guest." Sardonyx said as she bowed.

Stevonnie slowly approached the stage, looking up at the massive Gem with hesitation.

"Oh, and don't you worry, Stevonnie. This finale doesn't require weapons. So please put your weapons down and take a seat. The show is about to begin." Sardonyx said as she disappeared while the curtains closed.

With the kind of trails they've been through, Stevonnie dismissed their shield and placed their sword on their back before taking a front-row seat to what finale is coming.

Soon the place went dark. Then a huge light hit the curtains while a drum-roll began to commence. Then as the curtains opened Sardonyx made herself known to the crowd.

"Welcome, welcome everybody! Are you ready to bring all of this to an end?" Sardonyx said, putting a hand over her ear and getting an applause as a response. "Now, we've had a lot of Fusions appear today. Some are brand new and others are callbacks. So...to end this little show and reward our rookies, I present to you one more Fusion."

With all four hands Sardonyx carefully put them together and closed her eyes. "Now, unleash yourself to the world and everything will be alright! Summon your wings and take flight, Seraphinite!"

Opening her eyes a huge sphere of light erupted within Sardonyx's hands, but as Stevonnie was watching a silhouette appeared within the light and burst right out of it, showing herself. It was a teenage-girl with cyan hair, tanned-skin, and heterochromic eyes with her right being green and her left being light-blue. She wore a teal T-shirt with a white jacket, light-blue torn jeans, white sneakers, and wore a green ring on her left hand and a blue ring on her right hand. Lastly she wore goggles on her forehead and showcased a large scar over the right side of her face.

Up in the air the girl sprouted six wings on her back, each one being made of water as she soared through the area before lifting herself up and crossing her arms. She then looked down at Stevonnie, whom looked up to her with awe and star-shaped pupils. Giggling at their reaction the girl dived down and landed on the ground near them.

"Name's Seraphinite." The girl said casually.

"What a minute. A-Are...you..." Stevonnie question and received a nod.

Stevonnie gasped and embraced her without warning. Seraphinite was taken back by their action, but accepted it nonetheless.

"What do you say we have a little fun?" Seraphinite offered.

Stevonnie nodded without a second thought.

Interview#3

The white room soon appears to us all.

Coming on-screen was Garnet, the de-facto leader of the Crystal Gems.

She goes up to the chair in the center and takes her seat.

Author: Hello, Garnet. I'm glad you could come.

Garnet: ...

Author: Okay. So...how did you enjoy the Fusions that were shown?

Garnet: They were interesting. My favorite was Stevonnie.

Author: Good to hear. Now tell me, how do you see Fusions?

Garnet: Fusion is a choice. It is not something that should be taken advantage of or manipulate someone into doing.

The Author hummed and nodded while writing in his notes.

Author: I respect that. Thank you for that insight. Personally, I also see Fusion like that, but I also see as something else.

Garnet tilted her head at the Author.

Author: I see it as a way to make connections with others. Coming together and sharing the bonds you have with the individuals you're fusing with.

Garnet hummed and cupped her chin.

Garnet: I have never thought of it like before.

Author: I'd say both of our perspectives on Fusions are interesting. And I can't wait to show all of them soon.

Garnet: Just don't go too overboard.

The Author nodded as Garnet stood up and left.
