-"Well… What do we do now?" Donatello asked nervously, looking around the lab while slightly twitching in his seat as he tried to hide his uneasiness.

"W-what?" Leo replied in surprise, caught off guard by how quick the question about their future actions came up in the conversation. Leo just found out the truth about Donnie, shortly after Donnie himself. He wasn't even done processing the whole situation in his head. Although he didn't mention it to Donnie given that he was trying to make him feel better, Leo was freaking out. Well, "Freaking out" is an understatement. He's just really good at hiding it. It's a good thing they both sat down before Donnie spilled the beans.

Leo was actually terrified. He now understood what the conversation that Donnie had with Splinter was about. 'Donnie did mention that Master Splinter already knew about it, so that eliminates the possibility that this is all just a lie made by the Shredder in order to mess with them…" Leo thought to himself.

"What are we going to do now that we know the truth?" Donnie asked, rephrasing the same question after noting to himself of the surprise and confusion that are written on Leo's face. He can't blame Leo for his reaction. He, himself, is a bit surprised that he managed to get down to business right away. Finding out the secret about his true self is a very huge deal. However, thinking about their actions going onward is a whole different story.

"The results were originally supposed to be sent to Stockman, after all. It means the Shredder must know about me as well…" Donnie added, with concern lacing his voice.

Leo's eyes widened as his shoulders stiffened. He didn't really think about it, given that he was barely even processing their conversation, and what led to all of this situation in the first place.

"Oh…" Leo simply replied as his shoulders slacked and his gaze shifted to the floor.

"And there's also Karai…" Leo added, sighing from how exhausting this all felt.

"Yeah. And she believes her father is the Shredder as well, and Shredder considers her as his daughter, so she will probably be affected as well." Donnie said, putting his hand on his chin as he tried to think about the circumstances.

"Maybe if we bump into her you can try and convince her that Sensei is her father? Since she's his daughter we are basically siblings, but since you have Shredder's DNA as his "child", she might actually consider you as her brother." Leo said, feeling a little uncomfortable with the fact that he just referred to Donnie as Shredder's child. 'Just because Donnie shares his genes with him doesn't mean he is actually his son. Sensei is his true father.' Leo thought to himself, frowning a little at the fact that Donnie is literally being stuck in a conflict that he doesn't even deserve to be in, in the first place.

"You know, she might think that I am the one who is being deceived, rather than her herself. Also, she might not know about me in the first place." Donnie said, scratching the back of his neck while thinking of the possibilities that an encounter with Karai could bring.

"Yeah… I guess that's true…" Leo said, sighing in disappointment. Karai could really help them with this situation if she was on their side. After all, she literally grew up with the Shredder.

"And there's no doubt that the Shredder is going to do something about all of this, right? There's no way he would find out about me and just ignore my existence." Donnie said as a worried expression formed on his face.

Leo squeezed Donnie's shoulder as he looked directly at him, wearing a serious expression.

"If it's in my power, I'll make sure he won't even look at you. Understand?" Leo asked, trying to make the message clear as he watched Donnie reply with a little nod.

"You don't have to be afraid." Leo added as his expression softened.

Donnie sighed as he straightened in his seat.

"Leo, let's be honest. The Shredder will plan something for sure," Donnie said with a stern, yet worried expression. He bit his lower lip as his gaze shifted to his knees.

"Which is why we will be ready." Leo replied with a soft and reassuring smile as he moved his hands to hold Donnie's.

Donnie moved his gaze to stare at Leo as he tilted his head a little to the side, squeezing Leo's hands lightly. "Are you sure…?" Donnie asked, feeling uncertain.

"Yeah! Don't worry." Leo said as he smirked and leaned backwards in his seat and crossed his arms, in a show of being confident with his reply.

"Alright then… I'll take you up on it." Donnie said, sighing as he put on a little smile.

However, deep down, he wasn't so sure if they could handle whatever the Shredder could throw at them in the future.
