Season 2- Episode 9- Getting Answers

—-Hey guys! Thank you for keeping up with my series :D I appreciate all of your support and enjoy making it very much ^^ Now, let's begin!

—-"Well, this is it, then." Donnie says, taking a deep breath and composing himself in his seat.

"This is what?" Leo replies as he tilts his head to the side in confusion.

Donnie sighs as he rubs his face with his hand with a tired expression. "I guess that it's time to ask Splinter about the truth, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure that I have the right to know the full story."

Leo stares at him blankly for a few seconds until an expression of understanding washed over his face. "...Oh!" He replied, surprised with himself that it took him so much time to process anything. Since Donnie had more time to digest the situation, he was having an easier time processing what they should do now that they know the truth. Donnie was always the best with technical thinking. However, Leo was still having a hard time keeping up.

"Yeah… You are right." Leo says as he signs and scratches the back of his neck with a look of uneasiness evident on his face.

"You know… You don't have to join if you don't want to." Donnie says as he notices the uneasiness that Leo is experiencing. "I just feel that I should know about the full picture, you understand?" Donnie says as he softly smiles at Leo to reassure him that whatever he decides is fine with him.

"No! No. I'm your big brother and this team's leader. I should know about it and be there to support you." Leo says as he crosses his hands and a serious expression appears on his face. "Besides, I'm curious as shell." Leo mumbles quietly as he pouts.

Donnie chuckles as he gets up from his seat. "Alright, let's go." Donnie says, smirking as he heads toward the lab's closed entrance.

"N- now?!" Leo scrambles off of his seat into a standing position as his eyes widen in surprise.

"Yeah. Do you regret wanting to join me?" Donnie says, teasing Leo as he unlocks the lab's doors.

"No! I'm coming." Leo says, pouting as he follows Donnie and leaves the lab.

Donnie's breath was suddenly knocked out of him as he found himself being hugged aggressively by his youngest brother right when he left the lab.

"Donnie! Dude! Are you okay?!" Mikey asks in panic as he looks at his face without releasing Donnie from his grip.

"Yeah! It's all good!" Donnie says with surprise in his voice as his eyes widened, caught a little off guard because of Mikey.

Leo left the lab right after Donnie as he gave Mikey a light pat on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. Mikey always overreacted, but considering the situation, it was understandable.

"There you are! What was all of that about?!" Raph says as he walks closer to Donatello. He wore his usual scowl, but this time it was pretty obvious that he was worried as well.

"I've been… Having a hard time." Donnie says as he looks away uncomfortably while rubbing his arm in anxiousness.

"Did you at least figure out what is going on?" Raph says as he looks at Leo with a look of doubt on his face.

"Actually, yeah…" Leo says as he looks down to the floor, a nervous expression clouding his features.

"Which is?" Raph replies, trying to press for answers.

"Is something wrong?" Mikey asks, leaning a little out of the hug to look at Donnie and flash him an expression of worry.

"Yeah. Really wrong." Donnie replies as he looks at Leo.

"What?! What is it?" Mikey asks in a slight panic as Raph stares at Donnie with surprise on his face.

"Now, now. It's all good." Leo says with wide eyes as he attempts to calm Raph and Mikey down.

"I mean… You can come with us to question Sensei and find out." Donnie says, shrugging.

"Huh? Why do we need to question Master Splinter?" Raph asks in confusion.

"There's only one way for you to find out." Donnie shrugs as he pulls out of Mikey's hug and walks in the direction of the dojo.

"Fine." Raph says as he rolls his eyes in annoyance but follows Donnie anyways with Leo and Mikey in tow.
