So here the next chapter of the Diamond-verse. I'll get started on the first chapter for the Race around the Edge, then Nine Realms, and repeat the pattern.
In the Noceda house of Graveysfield The Collector now given a sue name Collin is now living in the human realm and demon realm simultaneously. He's grown up mentally from traveling across the stars for the last 4 years and that was still not enough time to see the whole universe.
But after his return for Luz's stalled quinceanera, he was asked if he be part of both the Clawthorne and Noceda families, to which he hesitated at first but agrees to join anyway. Camila orchestrated an identity for Collector in the human realm and was told not to use his powers. At first he was confused of why he couldn't use his powers, to which Luz answers, people will be disturbed by it, and in some cases they will fear what they do not understand or control. So he begrudgingly agrees, in the local stores he was given some new clothes which expresses his personality. His new civilian clothes are a hoody that is a bluish purple color, blue jeans, and white sneakers with a blue line on it.
He couldn't hide his true skin color so he walks around with it like it's normal. As he explore the town to get use to the customs, he saw humans who were no different than the beings of the demon realm. He even learned about right from wrong, he learned to stay away from a witch-hunter-wannabe named Jacob who captured Vee, Luz's adopted Basilisk sister, then tried to expose Gus and the others during a Halloween event from a few years ago. He's learned how to be social without causing too much trouble especially with his powers, eventually Luz taught him how to live like a human.
The Collector or Collin as he's now called, he's now enrolled in the elementary school for him to learn social behavior and study in school. In his own room which was Luz's old room, he was drawing in coloring artwork in case he needed art skills, all while listening to some human music called pop, with earbuds, the song is called Sunflower a soundtrack from a movie. He is humming to the lyrics and sings to it: "Oh! Hoo, hoo ooh. Needless to say…" He hums to is still…"Neverthelss, callin' it quits." He still sings to it as Camila calls out: "Collector!" He didn't reply but kept singing and now waving his arms to follow the music, "Collector! Collector!" Then Vee in her Basilisk form calls out: "Collector!" Still no responds, for the music was a bit louder, till Vee really shouts: "COLLECTOR!" This got his attention, and he finally replies in a shocked tone: "Yeah! I mean yes?" He removes his left earbud and lowers the volume on the song.
Camila asks down the hallway: "Are you ready for your first day of school? You got everything you need?" To which the cosmic child turns to his backpack with little star decorations on it, which is empty and he says in the form of a lie but he tries not to make it sound like a lie: "Yeah." To which he snaps his fingers causing the books to fly into the backpack allowing to get his new clothes on, he rushes his school work. Vee says openly: "Come on, you're a young boy show your teachers that." With Collector now fully dressed, he emerges from his room, with his backpack in front of his chest, his clothes neatly dressed, Collector asks openly: "Where's my math book?" Camila says in Spanish: "Te lo dije, deberías tenerlo todo." To which the cosmic child replies: "I thought it was in my room." He searches from the room, Vee helps him find it. Camila says now in English: "If you want me to drive you there, we better get going." She insists on taking him to school.
But Collector says to his surrogate mother: "Mama-Camila, I'll walk. Vee can walk with me." He states, but she says to him: "Sorry, Collector, I can't remember? I'm doing some community work with Masha." Camila still insisting to help him: "A personal chauffeur going once." The three individuals were walking around, Collector even has some of Camila's home cooked breakfast food, but blows on it for it was too hot. Vee yells: "Collector, you gotta go!" To which he argues: "In a minute!" His older adopted sister says: "Gotta go!" He annoyingly replies again: "In a minute!" To which Camila finally finds his history book and puts it in his backpack.
Outside, Vee straighten his clothes even as he says: "Vee, thanks but I gotta go." To which the Basilisk disguised as human says to him: "Okay. Have a fun day at school." He then leaves, she speaks in Spanish at first then says in English: "Okay. See you after school." He returns the goodbye in Spanish as well: "Está bien, Vee. Te veré a las 3:00. ¡Adiós!" He waves goodbye as he walks down the street.
As Collector walks down the street meeting the people, whom he's made friends with. They greet him as if he's been part of the community for years. He's put little star stickers up on some signs excepts stops signs. He put stickers on many things even a street name, but he falls down to Camila's car to which he says in embarrassment: "Oh, come on."
The Collector sat in the back of the car as Camila drove, to which he says to her, "Seriously, Mama-Camila. Walking would've been fine." To which Camila replies to him: "You'll have plenty of chances to walk this Saturday. While you're peeling those stickers off." She acts like a parent to him, which he whispers and questions: "You saw that?" He then talks normally and tries to deny the sticker. "I don't know of that was me." To which the Latino woman still being strict with him: "And the two from the coffee shop." To which he admittedly says: "Yeah those were me." As they drive still, Camila looks through the review mirror and sees Collector "Colin" being bored his face pressed against the window. So she tries to make up a game.
Camila says to him: "So I hear the Demon Realm's been opening new small business based off the human realm. Like diners, coffee shops and other stores." She spoke trying to lighten the subject to which he nods and mutters: "Hu-uh." The Latino woman continues: "Yeah, they even began making burgers in their own way. I hear they have a crossbreed of a cow and a spider." Her smile was a bit crooked with mix feelings about that. "I bet it tastes…yummy?" She still tries to hide her fears for even though she's been to the Demon Realm many times and she is still barely use it, but slowly tolerates it.
The Collector acknowledges her words, seeing people out of the window, he looks to see some students from a middle school and says to her: "Mama-Camila, can you go faster? I know these kids." They turn to see him, some pulls out their phones, he hides under his hoody feeling embarrassed. "Do most medical professionals run under red light?" Camila answers: "Only for emergencies only and I don't mean social emergencies, I mean medical emergencies." She explains, while Collector was still being embarrassed by a bunch of teenagers taking pictures with their IPhones.
As they drove through town till they reach the school, and Collector says to his surrogate mother: "Do I really need to go here?" To which she replies: "We're not gonna have this argument again. You're still young, you need to learn." The cosmic child replies: "But I know magic and cosmic powers." Camila states back to him: "True. But you need to socialize and learn how to walk among the people." The Collector points out: "But the Demon Realm's people are my people." To Camila states: "True. But since you need to know about humans. Luz walked among demons, Vee walked among humans. You need to do both like they did eventually." She explained to him about the needs of developing his new life.
He couldn't deny that, so he steps out of the car, he turns to Camila. "I love you Collin." In which he replies: "Yeah, I know Mama-Camila. I'll see you after school." He turns around but before he could enter the door, Camila honks her horn, stopping him in his and says to him: "Didn't I say, 'I love you'? I didn't get I love you back." To which he quickly turns around feeling embarrassed says to her in the form of a question: "Seriously? In front of all these people?" Everyone stared at the two having a bit of an argument, to which Camila says to him openly: "I wanna hear you say 'I love you Mama'!" He frustratingly grunts and says it forcefully: "Fine! I love you mama!" She drives off after getting what she wanted to hear. He sighs in relief and in embarrassment, one kid whispers to his friends: "Mama's boy." He emphasizes his joke to Collin's embarrassing moment.
In the school, The Collector 'Collin' greets his students but some tried to avoid him, some didn't even speak to him. In a montage of him entering classes, time ticking away, he heading to the next class and hearing big words he couldn't understand, pushing in and pulling out books for each different class and he can't use his magic so makes it worse for him.
He enters another room, where it's dark watching a documentary based off the theory of quantum physics as a scientist explains it. Collin sits down listening to the lecture while some students fell asleep. One student an Arabic girl whispers to him: "New kid us?" To which he softly spoke: "Yeah. This is my first day." The girl speaks to him still in a whisper tone: "Yeah. I was like you my first day. It took me a while to learn the difference knowledge of this country." The teacher tells them to be quiet and listen to the video.
Later that day the teacher shows a progress report showing 0 out of a 100 correct answers. The Collector says regarding this report: "A zero? A few more of those and I'll be kicked out of here hu?" He chuckles a bit but the Principal wasn't amused. "Maybe I'm not right for school." To which the principal who is a woman replies: "If a person wearing a blindfold were to pick the answers a true-or-false question, do you know what score they would get?" The Collector answers: "Hu…50%?" The principal exclaims: "That's right!" He tries to speak but she still speaks. "But the only way to get the answers wrong, is to know which ones are right." She puts a 100 on the paper. "You're trying to quit on purpose without even trying." He sighs admitting it.
The principal still continues to speaks softly. "But I'm not gonna let you." Then he's given a 'what-do-I-want-to-be' quiz. The principals voice speaking normal as well in the background, "I'm assigning you, a personal essay. Not about physics, but about you and what you want to be when you grow up." He sat in his room at the Noceda home, he stares at the blank piece of paper. He thinks for a moment but can't think of anything so he looks out the window seeing the trees and animals, gets a sly smirk and leaves.
Elsewhere playing some classic 1990's hip hop music as Collector rushes out of the house, passes the streets, without using his powers, and reaches the old house in the wood, the opens it up, entering it, leading to the Boiling Isles, then he pulls out his pocket a star that becomes a giant start that he uses to fly through the island.
In a room is Eda the Owl Lady and King the last Titan, sitting on the couch then Eda receives a pentsagram message from her scroll-phone, she answers it with a picture of her and King with words saying "I see you" across the screen. They turn to see the Collector at the window. The Collector says muffing behind the window: "Eda! King! Did I scare you?" They chuckled a bit seeing him.
Inside Collector was holding Owlbert, with King next to him, Eda was washing the dishes with her changeable prosthetic arm. Eda asks him: "So how was school and human realm been?" The cosmic child answers: "Great! Tons of new friends." The Owl lady says to him: "You can't tell me it's all that bad there. Smart girls is where it's at. Place must be full of them." They chuckled a bit, King says to him: "Yeah, you have got to meet at least one there." To which the child of the stars replies: "No, there's no one."
They laughed a little more Eda says regarding to the Collector: "Hey, I can't have no godchild of mine, on the streets be human or demon realms if he doesn't have game." To which the Collector defends as he walks to the couch: "Hey, I got game. There's a new girl actually. Well technically she's more experienced and was looking out for me." King sits next to him and asks: "What's her name?" The young looking but older than time child, was stunned at first and replies with a stutter: "You know, we never actually spoke to each other on a first name basis yet. But lay down the basics first." He spoke of his first meeting.
The Owl lady chuckles, sits down next to him and says to him: "You know about the shoulder touch?" The Collector scoffs and replies: "'Course I do." He laughs a bit. "But tell me anyway." Eda answer to him: "Tomorrow, find that girl. Walk up to her and be like:" She places her hook arm on Collector's right shoulder. "Hey." A simply yet meaningful word, with eyes half closed, a sly smile and one eyebrow raised up. The boy and titan both laughed at that, King questioned his adopted mother: "You serious, Eda?"
Eda laughs back and answers: "I'm tellin', you, little man, it's science. Men have been using this move in the human realm for almost a century. Some girls like a bad boy." She explains the dynamics of a simple and yet meaningful message. Collector says to Eda: "So walk up to her and say: 'Hey'." To which she corrects the phrase it. They all laughed, even King couldn't help but laugh, kept trying to repeat 'Hey' in their own ways then, Collector gets a call, which she picks up the IPhone with Camila tex message, saying 'Have you finished your homework first?' He deny's replying, Eda questions: "Is that here?" The cosmic child says to her: "I should probably go. I still got a paper to do." The last Titan sees his scrap book and pulls it out and says regarding the colors: "Hey, you been holding out on us? You got artistic talent." He flips the pages of the art work.
Collector says to King: "Yeah, Mama-Camila thinks I need to expand my horizons to develop other skills besides magic." He states to them regarding his development of artistry. The Owl Lady says to him: "Come on. I got a spot you won't believe." To that she gets up, pat Collector's shoulder encouraging him to follow. He tries to decline but ends up following her.
In the old bridge way that was never completed, the Cosmic child says regarding this: "Oh, I'm so going to get in trouble." To which the wild witch with the hook arm says: "Hey, kid. Tell her your art teacher made you do it." She tells the Collector to make up a cover story.
They reach a restricted area, to which Collector asks: "Hey, how did you know about this place?" Eda answers reminiscing about her youth: "When being chased by the cops, you develop a way to hide from the, in unexpected places." They reached the restricted area blocked by a chain link fence. And with in 5 seconds flat, she climbs up and overs the fence landing on the other end.
The Collector was impressed and tires to do the same but struggles since he's not using his powers in this case, and fall down on the ground but quickly gets up. Eda questions him: "Still trying to act like a powerless human hu?" Collector answers: "Mama-Camila says I need to learn to not use my powers too much." The Owl Lady speaks regarding that: "Eh, I think that only applies in the human realm." They continue to go the spot where to paint.
They see a whole room of pain made by different wild-witch-artiest, the boy was amazed by this. He seen many even Luz's own art work, among them. Eda speaks regarding the room: "If these walls could talk, they tell the stories behind the paint." The Collector sees a wall that is a total white spot, like a canvas, waiting to be paint. To which he begins painting using a paint brush and buckets of paint with different colors.
He began to paint similar to graffiti art, mixed with renaissance era painting, he began to use his powers this time to increase his painting prose as Eda and King watches him. He quickly paints the canvas so quickly by the time he was done, it said Collector all in capital letters, with stars around it.
Eda and King were impressed by the art work. Eda says in an astonished tone: "Wow, dang kid." The little Titan says in astonishment: "Yeah. I guess you picked up a thing or two." The Collector asks them: "Not to crazy?" The old wild witch replies: "Nah. Collector, I see exactly what you are doing there." She remains silent for a moment. "You know, Luz use to do this in her times in the Boiling Isles, back in the day." The Collector scoffs in disbelief: "No way." King says to him: "It's true. Then things got serious, what me being captured by Belos, almost prettified by being turned to the stone. Things got serious for Luz. She's a good girl. It's just…you know what I'm sayin'." Collector understands what Eda means, and he remembers having a role to play in that all too well.
Then Eda gets a messages from her pentsagram scroll and says: "Okay, we gotta go. I gotta work and you got school tomorrow." He picks up the cans of paint and walks with Eda out of the unfinished bridge.
