The Enchanted Forest: Part IV:

Last time...

Elsa: "Anna! Elliot!"

Mattias: "Queen Elsa gave her life for the truth."

Tank: "Watch it, Chomp!"

Elliot: "No! NO! AHHHHHH!"

Sheer: "A dinosaur signal. Headed north towards the Enchanted Forest!"

Anna: "I'm s-so sorry, E-Elsa!"

(Intro theme.)

4 hours.

4...long...hours.

That's how long it had been since the passing of Elsa's lover.

The poor distraught queen and Ninth Spirit wept until she could weep no more, and by the time her tears were over, a steady downpour of rain had replaced her tears. Still in Anna's arms, she just gazed...

Gazed out to the still-settled Dark Sea. Where someone below the waves she knew she'd only find the water-riddled corpse of the man she never should've chased out. The father who would never see his child come into the world and be part of the family they always wanted.

Her cries of mourning, heartbreak and simple unending pain may have stopped, but nothing, no one or thing, would ever cure her now-empty heart. No man in this entire world would ever be the like the one her Elliot was. To this moment, she still wondered what could've been. What if he told her the absolute truth from the very start? Would she and Arendelle have forgiven him? Would they have pitied him, as he was forced to kill the only other people that cared for and loved him?

Or would they have killed him on the spot?

Such a thought plagued and sickened her even more.

Now her biggest worries were not how her people would react - for before his untimely and outright unwanted demise, he earned the trust and the love of nearly her entire kingdom - only a few council members short. No, her most fearful worry was how his family would react.

Before she and Koba finally saw eye-to-eye, he once promised her that if anything happened to his lost brother on her watch, he would burn down Arendelle to its very last ashes, personally. Butcher every last man, woman and child with his own claws - such was his passion, and at the time, his disdain for humans. And while they tolerated and even cared for each other now, she feared he would now follow through with that promise, with Panthos and Rohanna being unable to stop him. The peace between Arendelle and the Northern Highfells would be shattered, for their former long-lost prince being gone forever.

Oh, gods.

Could Elliot's death result in a war?!

"Elsa."

Anna's gentle voice brought Elsa out of her musings and fears as she slowly looked up at the tear-stained face of her sister. A state...that could rival her own. "Yes?" she asked simply, a tone of a dead heart in her voice.

"I won't ask if you're okay, since I already know the answer..." The redhead first stated, slightly off-guard with the tone of the older royal, but fully understood at the same time. "But...is there anything I can do to make you better again?" she pleaded, a wobble in her voice, her raw emotions obvious.

Elsa looked back over the crowd of friends that had massed around her on this same beach, seeing all the looks of sadness in each of their expressions. A tear-stained Kristoff had an arm around an equally-mournful Sven, the D-Team still had to soldier through a few sniffles - Zoe in particular still wiping a few remaining tears. Mattias had his head lowered, not being able to bear looking up along with his men - and, a bit to her surprise, Yelana, Honeymaren and the rest of the Northuldra even showing looks of shame and guilt.

She then looked back to the teal-blue eyes of her sister. "When I have some feeling back...please...take me home." Was all she said with almost no emotion, to which Anna gave a sad nod of her head, before gently lifting her shaky sister onto her feet.

The joint congregation slowly walked back to the stone circle at the forest entrance, with the two sisters leading the way. In that time, the rain stopped, yet the dark clouds still hung overhead, leaving the heavy feeling of loss still in the hearts and minds of the two women that loved him. The broken queen looked out into the darkened horizon, lost in her thoughts and holding a hand to her tummy, while Anna, Kristoff and Sven stood by her in support.

The D-Team, the Northuldra and Mattias and his men stood a few paces back in respect; the young ones and their dinosaurs looking at them in sorrow or bowed their heads in mourning. Honeymaren took a breath before speaking her mind about the situation. "You know, even though part of our culture was disdaining the likes of dragons and the Highfells...I can't help but feel sorry for what happened to him," she said softly, her eyes lowered in shame.

Max then raised his head from looking down, still having an arm wrapped around Zoe. "We've only known Elliot for a short time compared to Elsa and Anna..." he started, "...But throughout that time, and his use of language, I think we were able to see just why Elsa loved him so much."

Zoe gave a sniff, before looking at her boyfriend and Rex. "What do we do now?" she asked.

The Dinosaur King gave a sigh, before looking to his friends. "Only a few things we can do. We give Spectre a call, let him know what happened...and hope we can go home, to help our people," he said, lowering his eyes again.

"I really wish we could do more..." Paris commented as she and Chomp shared a nuzzle.

"Me too...but, bringing folks back from the dead is not something we can do." Chomp wished this wasn't the case, but it is true.

"I just wish we knew why Eli would stop dead like that, right in the path of the wave..." Ace pointed out, a fact that nagged him from the start.

"I'm more curious why Sugi would throw herself on top of him like that - it's not like she could've stopped that wave," Spiny said, not being his usual goofy self for once.

Terry and Tank both looked at him as the former started off. "Spiny, you know how deeply some friendships go. Elliot and Sugi's bond was probably one of the truly strongest bonds we've seen."

"And if what we heard from how they met was anything to go by, they knew each other since Sugi was a cub!" Tank continued, feeling slightly defensive of the bond they shared. "She obviously saw him as a parent or brother, since he took care of her until she was fully grown."

"Oh, and that in turn would result in her wanting to look out for him..." Spiny realised.

"Yes, babe, exactly that," she finished patiently.

As this conversation went on, Yelana, the D-Kids and Mattias slowly walked up to Elsa, the Northuldran elder laying a hand on her shoulder in an effort to provide comfort. "I know we were never the nicest people to your husband, young lady, and to you for your marriage to him," she started off apologetically. "But I have seen more than my fair share of true love in my life to know when it's there," she stated comfortingly.

The blonde sniffed before opening her still-teary eyes. "He was...my soulmate," she started croakily, before looking up to the clouds. "In every sense of the word...I gave him everything I had to give if it meant just being around him alone. My home. My people. My family. My body. My heart and soul." Her voice broke and wobbled more and more as she spoke. "Everything I did, was because I loved him. And through it all, he put his heart into everything he did." She looked at the silver-haired woman as tears pooled in her eyes once more. "Even allow himself to be in pain, just to protect us." She finished.

Anna then ran her hand through her sister's hair, bringing her attention back to her sister. "He will be remembered, Elsa. That much I vow to you," she said, before bringing Elsa into another tight and much-needed embrace. A small huff of breath caught the sister's attention, seeing the Cryolophosaurus slowly lowering his head and nuzzling the daughters of his friend, the queen and princess giving a small sad smile as Elsa laid one of her hands on his snout.

The kids, Kristoff and the others gave sad smiles of their own that didn't reach their eyes as they watched before Rex gave another sigh and raised his dino bracer to send a message to Spectre.

However...as he typed in the commands, his screen came up as static. "Hm?" he wondered, before trying again as Max and Zoe looked at him with quizzical looks. "My dino bracer isn't connecting to Spectre's ship," he said as his friends made their own efforts on their own bracers.

"What's going on?" Anna asked as the sisters broke their hug and looked over at them in concern.

"Something's jamming our comms. We can't get anyone at all!" Zoe said in slight alarm, still typing away at her own bracer as the rest of the Northuldra and the reindeer walked up to them.

But then, something caused everyone to stop what they were doing.

A sound.

A deep, rumbling earthy sound.

"Uhhh...Earth Giant related?" Spiny asked nervously, casting a worried glance at his girlfriend.

"I don't think so..." Tank cautiously replied as the rumbling continued.

Elsa and her folks however recognised it with deep dread, however, as they used their ears to trace the source of the rumbling towards the horizon again, specifically at the rise they went down when they arrived the first time.

"Wereworms..." she whispered with fear.

That was when the D-Team, the Northuldra, and the Arendellian soldier team got the shock of their life.

Out of the ground came the most hideous creature they'd ever seen. A giant, fat, worm-like creature the size of an apatosaurus, with five huge mandibles for a mouth, full of seemingly stone-crushing teeth, and currently with a huge lump of earth and rock within them, which was abruptly crunched to bits. Once doing so, it gave a loud, monstrous-sounding roar that caused the people to back up in sheer fright, parents fiercely clutching any children that began to shake like leaves.

If that didn't scare the D-Team enough, two more burrowed upwards from the ground beside the first one, each of them giving the same roar that the first one produced!

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE THOSE THINGS?!" Terry screamed in utter fright as the team grouped up together.

"I don't know! But come on! We gotta stop them before they hurt someone!" Max exclaimed with wide eyes, the rest of the team shakily nodding in agreement as the kids recalled their dinosaurs.

"DINO SLASH!"

All six dinosaurs landed right in front of the assembled crowd behind them, with Terry giving a loud roar at the massive slug-like monsters 500 yards away. However, before any of them could think of charging, the wereworms dug back down the makeshift tunnels they came from, leaving behind the same rumbling sound from before.

"They're...leaving?" Max asked

"But why?" Zoe went next, confusion obvious in her voice as was the rest of the D-Team.

"They aren't the main force to come..." Elsa started off, with a much different emotion in her tone as the D-Team turned to her. "He is..." she said in dread, pointing to something at the top of the rise, making the whole team follow her line of sight.

And at the top of the said rise, although too small to make out for the human eye, was a familiar tall pale orc, now brandishing a ghastly armour set of iron, his arms spread wide as his second-in-command and warg mount stood behind him, the former sporting a large horn at his lips. And in his language, the pale leader gave one command.

"Come forth...my...ARRRRMMMIIIEEESSSSS!" was Grarzog's roar, as Bolg blew the horn, the white warg giving a bellowing howl in support.

And with that, many upon many snarls and screeches were heard as the ground rumbled again, causing the dinosaurs to tense up in caution and the Northuldra to cower in wariness. As for Elsa and her family, only fear and fright could be felt in their veins as Sven gave a frightened grunt.

From the tunnels that the wereworms left in their place, an army charged. Three entire legions of orcs, each numbering in the hundreds poured out of each of the tunnels like rapids on a river, all of which were sporting dark crude armour of metal, bearing large arm shields, and wielding either jagged swords, axes, maces, hammers and more, all orc-inspired. And the very sight of the horde rushing upon them like madmen was enough to make the D-Team want to run and their dinosaurs back up in fright, and it didn't help that the tons of cave trolls that were among them were big enough to rival Terry in size and were armed with gigantic bludgeons that looked like they could pop open a dinosaur's skull like a melon.

"Okay! I'm officially scared shitless!" Chomp nearly shouted, scared like a little baby at the sight - never mind that he was still missing a horn on top.

"We can't fight something like that!" Rex continued, scared as all hell as well for the first time as Dinosaur King, all three children rushing back towards the crowd - all the while the Northuldra quickly mounted any reindeer they got their hands on as they approached Elsa and her family. "I still can't get a connection to Spectre for help!" he told the older blond.

"We got to get everyone out of here, now!" Elsa nearly shouted to Anna and Kristoff, both of which nodded in feared agreement, rushing back toward the people with Yelana, Mattias and the D-Kids very hot on their heels.

"You heard the Queen, either we piss off or they're literally dead meat!" Tank yelled at her fellow dinosaurs, even her tough-girl attitude taking a break in exchange for being scared herself.

"Circle Yelana's people, and RUN!" Terry roared, all six dinosaurs nearly turning on their heels as they and the crowd all ran back towards the forest, everyone from the Northuldra screaming in fear at the orc horde still rushing at them.

But suddenly, to add to everyone's terror, a massive wall of fire appeared just beyond the stone circle - not purple like the Northuldra people were used to seeing from the Fire Spirit, but hellish green. "What the-?!" Ryder screamed in fright.

"We're trapped!" Honeymaren shouted, her eyebrows furrowed in levels of fear unknown to her before now.

Elsa looked to the flames, however, and felt something up with her powers. As if...they were responding to these strange flames.

A want...to destroy it?!

Out of her own control, her arms shot out a thick stream of ice and snow of their own accord, shocking her with widening eyes when she realised that she hadn't commanded her body herself in that split second, partially successful in eradicating the flames before them. Only to re-ignite within a second.

"Elsa, what do we do?" Kristoff called to her, both he and Anna looking at her with fear, with the queen returning the same look.

The D-Team and their dinosaurs too were all now shaking in slight terror, turning to face the orc horde that stopped only tens of meters away, all snarling and growling at them frantically in blood-relishing delight. Terry, Chomp, Ace and Spiny all gave loud roars back, hoping to make the orcs and trolls think twice before charging wildly at them, making sure to put themselves between their aggressors and the now-terrified Northuldra, half of which were parents wrapping protective arms around crying, screaming young children who clung on to their mothers and fathers in terror.

But Grarzog's legions held fast, returning the dinosaur's roars with their own, taunting the pathetic, cowering lizards even more. Six cave trolls in particular even went up to the front of the army - some slamming their clubs on the ground, which further intimidated the six dinosaurs even more, and nearly prompted the orcs behind them to charge in bloodlust, the potential feast before their eyes proving to be irresistible.

But before anyone else did anything..."Now, my friends..." A voice spoke loudly on the wind, pausing the orc hordes in their displays. "This is no way to treat our hosts," she continued.

The entire D-Team looked at each other in fright.

They knew whose voice this was.

And as for Elsa...she realised that this voice could only belong to one being. One that Pabbie warned her about.

As she thought more on this, they all saw the orc army open up a column leading to the head of the horde, and from it came five beings - three on two horses, two on a warg each that snarled profusely at the dinosaurs before them. One face, in particular, was one that Anna could hardly believe - even with what the D-Team and Elliot had told her a long time ago. A face that she had wished to never see again. "Hello there, Anna. Finally, we meet again." Hans spoke first, a deceitful, charming smile playing at his lips.

The princess's fists clenched with hatred. "Hans," she spat with malice in her tone, making a move to march up to him and possibly murder him had Kristoff not held her back, also glaring ahead, however, as the former prince turned to the ice harvester.

"And would you look at that? Seems like there is someone who actually loves you..." he spoke next in cruelty, further infuriating Anna as she remembered their conversation on the day of his betrayal.

"In fairness, he's not the one that tried to kill her," Chomp said angrily towards Hans in Kristoff's defence, looking at the side-burned man with a glaring, pointed gaze.

"Unlike some people!" Paris added in backing her mate, hissing her words with scorn as Hans raised his hands in a placating gesture.

"I didn't try to kill her-" the said princess struggled more in her lover's grasp at this. "I left her to die."

The D-Team, feeling a bit emboldened at the slithering of this snake, stepped up to speak their mind as well, and Spiny took a turn in speaking. "Yeah, I may be an idiot, but I, for one, don't really see the difference in that!" He then promptly turned to Zoe and the boys. "There aren't any differences in that, right?" he quickly asked the pinkette, who made no response. "Guess Drew and the other viewers can answer that in the review section later..." he muttered to himself.

"Why are you here?!" Rex demanded, his dino blade card raised and ready to swipe with his friends in the same kind of stance.

Gothel, at this point, made a slight chuckle from her place behind the former prince. "Young ones, there is no need for alarm. You, your dinosaurs and the Northuldra aren't the reason we are here," she said with a cruel grin on her mug.

The kids, their dinos and the Arendellian royal family all got a wave of shock as a new, completely unexpected voice shouted over the orc horde, as the owner even leapt up high enough to be seen by all. "YES THEY ARE, THOSE DINOSAURS ARE MY PROPERTY AS WE DISCUSSED!" Dr Z yelled over with a tantrum in his voice, tick marks surrounding his head.

"Ahh!/Huh?!/What the-?!" the D-Kids exclaimed in surprise.

"And just like that, one surprise is ruined!" Sykes said with a facepalm. "Nice going, Dr Dumbass!" he exclaimed with no small amount of sarcasm as a few orcs moved the Alpha Trio up to the front.

"What the heck are you doing here, old lady?" Zoe shouted at the Alpha Trio, aiming that last part at Ursula.

The greenette, for her part, took on a face of rage, as she even swiped Gothel of her knife (basically the one she used to stab Eugene) and held it in one hand threateningly as the original bearer looked to her in surprise. "I am not an old lady!" she yelled with a tantrum of her own.

"It's been a while, hasn't it, brats?" Zander asked rhetorically and mockingly with a mean grin on his face.

"So you decided to join forces, is that it?" Rex fired back with a glare.

"Technically we didn't know what was what at first..." Ed spoke up with his eyes closed and a raised hand at first before he opened them again. "Although, it is quite neat to have an army like this at our-" Bolg suddenly grabbed the fat man's head and snarled in his face, flashing his horrid, jagged teeth to stop his next sentence from finishing. "I mean, her command, I mean hers!" he yelped in fright as the orc shoved him away.

Something about what he said in that sentence caught the team's attention.

As well as Elsa's.

And before anyone else could say anything, a familiar green patch of flames erupted from the ground, startling all of the heroes and even the Alpha Gang - all of which, including the orc legions, backed up a few paces, either out of fear, or respect, in the case of most of the villains. Once again, Elsa felt her powers fluctuate as they did before, that familiar desire to extinguish them coming back in full force - though this time, the Ninth Spirit held it in, much to her own surprise. Out of the flames, Maleficent once again formed - staff in hand and a calm, satisfied smirk on her face, which only grew as she set her sights on Elsa.

As for the said blond woman, a feeling grew deep down in her gut, like a plethora of negative feelings and energy poured off of her at the mere appearance of this...thing. Like as if all of the evil within this world came together to form a great harbinger of doom that spelt terror at the very sight of her.

Stepping out of the tight arm grip her sister gave her, much to her fear, she slowly stepped past the overly cautious D-Team, the three kids all looking at her in alarm. "Queen Elsa, stay where you are!" Rex told her firmly as the older blonde looked over at him. "We don't know who or what she is, but she's dangerous!"

"No," was all she said in reply, earning a slight gasp from all on her side. "She's not interested in you or your dinosaurs, at all," she spoke again, slowly moving on under everyone's gaze until she was only ten feet away from the dark sorceress, who still bore her smirk as her raven landed on the head of her staff. "You know what I'm talking about...don't you?" she said knowingly.

Still grinning like a predator, Maleficent began her own sentences. "I am most impressed that you know of me when we haven't even met until now," she replied, the head of her staff glowing a faint sickly green, as she gazed down at it fondly for a minute, before returning eye contact. "But, from what the old troll told you, it would definitely appear that my reputation proceeds me..." she continued sinisterly.

Anna then took this precise moment to march up and put herself between her and her sister, a determined glare on her face. "What do you want with my sister?! What are you talking about?!" she demanded. Was this the deceiver and destroyer that Runeard warned her about, or something more? Something worse?

Maleficent, at that moment, lost her smirk at this foolish act of defiance. "Away with you, foolish mortal!" she hissed, raising her staff and tapping it on the ground, the orb on her staff glowing as it happened.

Everyone found themselves in shock as Anna was literally lifted from the ground by a wind current that formed right under her feet as she gave a cry of surprise, which from there turned into a scream of pain and agony as the ground she was lifted from started attacking her with a combination of purple static and that same green fire - all the while everyone else watched in horror at the sight, Elsa and Kristoff screaming to her in panic.

However, before her life could be claimed, a white blur of fur dashed in from nowhere and rammed her out of the unnatural death trap, her saviour now standing over the Arendellian princess who lay there in a pained heap, all the while the creature above her snarled in hatred. To the Arendellian team and their dinosaur friends, this was a new face. But to the Northuldra, it was yet another creature they thought long gone since the days of a distant past, with their wide eyes staring ahead at it.

It was the same wolf that had helped her find her strength again from her lowest point.

"What the-?! Another warg?!" Chomp shouted, shocked at what just happened.

"But it saved her!" Paris added in.

"That's no warg..." Yelana whispered in emotional awe, catching everyone other than her people in surprise, all turning to her. "That is a moon maw...the guardian wolves of our home." Everyone gave a small gasp as she said this, all turning back to the large hound.

Even Anna, though in pain and losing consciousness, pulled enough strength together to cast a look to her apparent protector, who in turn looked down at her kindly. "I knew you'd come..." she whispered before her eyes closed and darkness took her.

"Anna!" Elsa exclaimed, fear gripping tight and assuming the worst as she and a terrified Kristoff rushed in, the blond man picking up his beloved bridal style, and ushering himself back towards the crowd. The woman, however, cast a glare of hatred that ran so deep it would make most villains shiver with terror. "Going after me to end the prophecy is one thing, whoever you are!" she started with scorn in her voice. "But you do not touch my friends and family!" she finished with a near shout.

"Prophecy?" Kristoff asked quickly. What did she mean by that?

Maleficent only looked on, satisfaction and glee in her eyes as she gave a slight chuckle. "I see I hit a nerve..." was all she commented before she cast a look past her quarry at the crowd. "Are you not aware that not all can be as they seem from the people around you?" she asked the Ninth Spirit - who out of slight confusion, looked in the same direction, seeing Yelana and the Northuldran crowd.

'Why should I trust you?' Elsa was thinking of asking the sorceress before she quickly took note that the silver-haired woman had a look of great guilt and shame on her face.

"It can be surprising what fear can do to a potential ally...right, my Northuldran friends?" the dark witch asked the respective crowd.

Everyone, from Elsa's team to Mattias's men turned to them at this. "What is she talking about?" Ace asked tentatively with worry creeping into his voice, a bad feeling entering his gut.

The Northuldran crowd looked to their leader, who was joined by Honeymaren and Ryder on either side of her, each of them looking as shameful as their parental figure. "That was then, Maleficent!" Yelana suddenly spoke out, anger dripping from her voice as she revealed her name. "You said once the Highfell was dealt with, you would take the Arendellian Queen and go!" she shouted to her pointing her staff as she did.

Elsa felt her heart stop.

"Wait, what?!" Kristoff asked in shock, voicing everyone's thoughts on this.

"What do you mean, 'once Elliot was dealt with'?!" Max asked in outrage, an apparent betrayal revealing and rearing its ugly head as the D-Team's dinosaurs looked at the silver-haired woman in a new darkness.

That was when everyone felt the temperature drop around them. Quite literally. With fear in the Northuldra's eyes, caution from the Arendellian team and satisfaction in Maleficent's, everyone turned to Elsa, who at first had a blank look in her eyes and a rigid form. Ever so slowly enough to make the enemy crap its pants, she turned and faced their 'gracious' hosts with a look that absolutely screamed vengeance. "You wanted the man I loved dead...you betrayed us," she said, the lack of emotion in her voice already sounding scary enough for anyone.

"It was before we met up with him at the dam, before it was destroyed!" Honeymaren exclaimed, panic settling in as she and her brother threw down their weapons and stepped slightly in front of the fearful elder, their hands raised in a placating manner, trying to defend their previous actions. "That dark sorceress came to us saying that once the fog around the forest lifted, he would go back and bring an army of Highfells headed by three dragons to invade and destroy our home, but then-!"

"So, you waited for him to hit the curb-!" Rex first exclaimed in anger.

"And set the rest of us up for a slaughterhouse!" Zoe finished in the same tone.

At this, an enraged Mattias rapidly drew his sword with his men close behind, glaring with rage at the woman he had only just made peace with. "That's it, Yelana, YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME!" he yelled in said rage, pointing his weapon at her to exemplify his actions.

Now with tears pouring down their faces for what they had done and subsequently wrought upon themselves, the three Northuldran heads trembled in terror as the Ninth Spirit marched up to them with the promise of death in her eyes. "We're sorry!" Yelana dared to speak up with a plead for mercy in her tone.

Only to be answered by the three of them being pinned to one of the standing stones by many an ice spike that reached from the ground and was sharp enough that threatened to cut flesh, yet just pinning them by their clothing. "NO, you're not!" The infuriated Queen of Ice promised as she did the action. "Not yet!" she hissed with fury once they were pinned.

"Please!" Honeymaren pleaded, desperately grasping at the spike pinning her right shoulder in an attempt to prise it off of her. "We can make it up to you!"

Ignoring the raven-haired girl, she turned and addressed all that was left of her team. "Stay together everyone, we can fight our way out!" she told them.

"What about the rest of the Northuldra, what will happen to them?" Terry pointed out in concern, gesturing to said crowd with his head. They weren't part of this conspiracy, he was sure.

However, when the blonde women turned to face them next, seeing the terror in their eyes of the innocent men, women and children, only one thought came out in words. Words that shocked them all. "What about them?" she spat hatefully.

As everyone around gave horrified gasps at those words, Maleficent gave a cackling laugh at the hatred within the ice maiden's words. Her plan had worked out so much better than she could have ever imagined. "Such hatred and malice. How beautiful," she said, catching the rageful attention of her target as she turned to her henchmen. "Now, as for you three, I believe the time for talking is over," she told them with an evil smirk on her face as they nodded, dismounted and stepped forward.

"I'm sure you'd remember these faces, wouldn't you?" Sykes commented, putting his triangle card to its summoning place as Hans and Gothel followed closely behind, and out of the light that followed afterwards came Dynerra, Bulldust and Scowler, and soon after, a battlefield appeared.

"And so, we meet again, D-Team," the mutant sauropod said in mock greeting as his fellow lab creation cuffed the ground. "I can assure you now, things will be very different this time around, yeesss."

"Arg, not these creeps again!" Chomp exclaimed, remembering how powerful they were from their previous battle, his still-missing horn a painful reminder.

Dr Z and the Alpha Trio too stepped forward - that is, once Grarzog allowed them to pass. "At long last, the D-Team has reached their final moments of life!" the old doctor declared. "Ursula!"

"Yes, sir!" was what the greenette replied as she, Zander and Ed brought out their scanners. "Time to end this war once and for all, boys!"

"Let's do it!" they called out.

"ALPHA SLASH!"

With the fading light, it quickly became clear that the Alpha Gang had brought all of their dinosaurs for this one battle, from Brontikens and his group, through their new addition, Bruton the Alioramus, to the entirety of Pyro's pack, the Alpha acrocanthosaurus roaring at the D-Team. "Hello, your majesties!" he called out in a mock greeting to the two monarchs.

"Man, as if things weren't bad enough!" Chomp exclaimed, caution and fear clear in his voice as Max turned to his teammates.

"We can't take an army this size by ourselves!" he nearly yelled at them. "Rex, Zoe, please tell me you got Spectre on the line!"

"No, no matter what I try, I can't get through!" the Dinosaur King replied to the brunet, static still buzzing away at the screen on his bracer.

"So...what do we do now?" Zoe asked the boys, dread filling her entire being at what this battle could mean for them.

"The only thing we can do." The three kids turned at the sound of Elsa's voice, hard and firm was her tone as the Ninth Spirit stepped up to stand with them, her powers showing themselves as frost coated her palms. "We fight...for as long and hard as we can," she said, determination in her core as she glared defiantly at Maleficent, who only gazed back with an evil smirk on her face. At her words, the D-Team all realised that she was right. They had to fight. Fight so they can go home and tend to their people waiting for them in Sanjo. If not, make a final stand. In agreement with this, they summoned their dino blades and made a fighting stance. But they silently agreed that they would use them as a last resort. They may be fighting to survive, but that doesn't mean they were comfortable with the thought of killing someone, orc or otherwise. Of course, though, they had no problem with slagging Alpha droids to scrap, if any were to be seen.

"You won't be fighting alone." A new voice spoke up, catching everyone's attention to the captive Northuldran traitors, turning Elsa's fighting glare into a venomous one, recognising it was Yelana who spoke those words. "Listen to me...I know that after what we did, you may never forgive us." The elder paused, taking a breath. "But this forest is our home, and we will fight to protect it. Please. Let this be a chance to make things up to you."

Everyone turned to the still-glaring Ninth Spirit, wondering what her answer would be. Some with simple curiosity (mainly from the bad guys) and others with either fear or pleading.

At first, Elsa was shocked on the inside at what Yelana asked. Did she really expect to do anything for this elder backstabber? Especially after what she was willing to do to her and her family?! Fury filled her at this. But as her anger festered more, she saw the Cryolophosaurus walking up to her, staring her in the eye intently. As she stared back, he ended up reminding her of something that made her think twice as her eyes widened slightly in realisation. This was her mother's home. Her family. A fact that technically made the people of the Enchanted Forest, family themselves.

And so, with a great sigh to put a hold on her anger for now, she stepped up to the still-pinned Yelana and friends, speaking these words in warning as she made the ice spike disappear. "Don't make me regret this, Yelana." The elder Northuldran gave a bow in understanding, followed closely by Honeymaren and Ryder before they picked up their weapons and joined at the Ninth Spirit's side. At this new show of unity, Mattias and his men two stepped up, holding up their shields in a battle stance, followed up by Kristoff, Sven and any Northuldran that was willing to fight, of which a good number was up to 30 or so - and finally joined by the white Moon Jaw wolf and the Beast of Ahtohallan, the dinosaur giving a roar to announce his presence, surprising the Alpha Gang in the process.

"Before anything else happens, I'm calling in reinforcements," Zoe decided, opening out her gadget and taking out five move cards.

"Good plan, Zoe, hopefully, this will even things out!" Rex said as he and Max followed up. "Go, Galli Rush!" he declared, swiping the card.

"Tag Team!" Max called out as he followed the motion.

In a split second, a duo comprised of Pawpaw and Minx appeared next to their summoners with a respective roar/shriek.

"My turn now!" Zoe declared, bringing out her cards. "Here we go, everyone! Dino Slash!" she called out, slashing her cards and bringing forth a whole army!

The first ones to appear out of the cards that the pinkette swiped were the Pteranodon trio, who all soared high into the sky with cries, followed by the Opthalmosaur pod from the Ocean Panic move card. Up next was Futaba, who rose out of the ground in his own makeshift pool, giving a shrilling roar upon summoning, soon joined by Dutch the Deinosuchas who gave a dangerous predatory hiss, and lastly, rising up from the ground on their rear legs were Charles and Gertie, the pair giving loud roars before crashing back down to all fours, leaving an earthquake in their wake. (Hey, that rhymes!)

On the side of the good guys, those that weren't used to seeing so many unfamiliar creatures - let alone the sheer enormity of the Seismosaurus and Supersaurus pair that came out of nowhere - all nearly jumped back in awe at the sight of them. They stared up at them with wide eyes, not believing that beings that could rival the Earth Giants in size existed, let alone dinosaurs that could fly or swim. Such things that even filled them with a sense of hope.

"Well, you guys", Spiny suddenly commented, bringing the attention of his fellow dinosaurs to him. "I don't know about you, but this seems like the perfect time to say something that I've saved for a moment just like this," he said.

"You told me about that, babe," Tank said, nuzzling her mate lovingly...for what could be the last time. "I will just say, I never took you for a fan of that franchise!" she slightly joked.

"I, for one, would have to agree with her, and you and I live in the same house," Paris added.

"Hey, it's a good line, and the movies are worth the price!" he defended, taking their words in stride. "Plus, it's rumoured that the books are better!"

"I heard you say it maybe once and that was in the wrong place at the wrong time," Chomp said, facing forward at the enemy again with his dinosaur friends close behind, even though a little bit of humour coloured his voice at a very embarrassing moment between him and Paris that Spiny had walked in on. "Besides, you could've just said it in the battle for Sanjo way back when!"

"Let's just say I didn't think about it at the time, and leave it at that," Spiny slightly defended.

Maleficent, for her part, watched in dark wonder and amusement at the show of bravery that her quarry and her allies showed in the face of their potential demise, even though they did call in for a few extra hands. She first raised a hand, a silent order to the dinosaurs on her side to stand down, much to the disappointment of most of them, excluding Brontikens, Dynerra and Bruton (due to the effects of the Alpha ball around his head). Once she had done so, she raised her staff and allowed the dark magic within the orb to swirl within.

The sound of the bottom hitting the ground gave a loud gong-like sound as it made contact with the ground.

Grarzog roared to signal his horde to attack.

"FORTH EORLINGAAASS!" Spiny cried out with a roar, the rest of the D-Team's dinosaurs doing the same, charging forward with their human friends at their heels, and the rest of their small army right at their side, all unleashing war cries as they did.

'This is for you, Elliot.' Elsa vowed in her mind, coating her fingers in ice as she beelined for the opposing horde, the Cryolophosaurus right at her side while letting out a roar.

The battle that would decide the fate of the Northuldran people and the Enchanted Forest...had begun.

DK

Location: Unknown.

Time: Unknown.

A pounding headache.

A slightly shaking body.

A slow, peeling opening of eyes.

"Ugh..." a voice of a man groaned weakly, lifting an arm to rub at his temples.

Slowly, but probably against his better judgement, he lifted his torso into a sort of sitting position, using a hand to rub against his forehead. "Ugh, my head, h-oww..." he slurred, before pausing to take in his unexpected surroundings. Around five feet forward from where he sat, the expanse of the ocean greeted him - small, barely noticeable waves flowing against the shoreline of a white beach, he could call it. "Huh," he muttered aloud, not sure what else to say.

How did he get here?...Wherever it is?

Before he could think more, a low, weak growl reached his ears, startling him as he recognised the sound, and darted his line of sight due west of him. There, he saw a familiar large feline, laying on its side, the remnants of a harness under its unmoving body.

"Sugi!" the man, Elliot, exclaimed in extreme worry, scrambling to his feet while trying his hardest to ignore his own injuries, running with a slight limp towards his familiar sabertooth ally, dropping to his knees in front of her face with wide eyes of worry. "Oh, girl, are you okay? Talk to me!" he pleaded, holding her face in his hands, even going as far as gripping her left saber canine with his right hand (which was a risky move in itself if he didn't want her to suddenly react in defence), while patting the other side of her face, picking it up from the ground as he did.

After a few thorough pats, the usually-powerful feline slowly peeled open one of her eyes, and upon seeing the familiar face of her rider, gave a low purr and even went as far as giving a slight lick to his chin. "Whoa...thank Draco..." he sighed in relief, bringing her into a short but tight hug, before pulling away and allowing her to shakily raise back to her full height. "That wasn't our best moment, was it?" he said as she shook herself dry of any loose bits of a now ruined harness (much to his annoyance) and droplets of sea water, before receiving a deadpanned look that said, 'No shit, Sherlock!' all over it.

Slowly, he began to piece together his most recent memories. First...he remembered seeing the dam go down, then the large crystals in the sky, then the tsunami and then - ohhh...

Now he got it.

Somehow, against all odds, Elliot and Sugi...survived. And now they had ended up at wherever this place was.

How they did it, he had no clue. But he had a sneaking suspicion that...well...he actually didn't know what to think.

All he knew is that they needed to know where they were in the world and if the voice he heard beforehand was just a fluke. Or maybe, something more.

Having that decided, he took a glance around, seeing bergs of ice both large and small just floating on the water. Looking in the other direction, however, he saw a gigantic wall of ice, one that seem to give off a mythical glow of a sort.

Could it be...?

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

Elliot whipped around with eyes furrowed at the raspy, feminine voice that just spoke in his ear, flicking out the hidden blade on his left wrist as Sugi snarled and darted her head in the same direction. But he saw not another being in sight for miles. Just the same landscape that greeted them. "Hello?" he called out, as his eyes slowly cast around their surroundings. But his call got no answer. He gave out another loud greeting, hoping to at least hear another voice, only to get the same result. The hunter pair looked at each other warily, liking this current situation less and less as the human hunter sheathed his blade.

Elliot then cast another glance at the ice wall, but he looked down and saw two sets of footprints on the snowy ground. One was a human's tracks, the other having the three-clawed print of a dinosaur to them, the latter having a much larger stride than the human tracks. However, it was the human tracks, rather than the clawed ones, that caught his attention the most, for they had a particular size and shape to them that rang bells in his ears at the very sight of them. He and Sugi both knelt down to examine them and as Elliot traced his fingers down the heel mark of the left print, one thing became clear, making him follow the tracks into an opening at the cliff wall. "Elsa was here," he said, shock in his voice as a massive revelation hit him. He turned his sight towards his faithful companion as he spoke his discovery out loud. "Ahtohallan." A small, breathless grin appeared on his face that was returned with a mix of a growl and a purr, sharing his emotion.

Caesar...

Elliot whipped back to the opening in the glacier with wide eyes this time, replacing his feeling of cautious excitement, to shock and a hint of alarm.

Draco's voice sounded off again. And it was coming from the entry ahead!

"Well?"

Once more, Elliot whipped around quickly and flicked out the only weapon on his person. This time, he was demanding answers. "I know you're here somewhere, who are you?" he called out dangerously in a low, warning tone as Sugi backed him up with a slight roar, flashing her canines in doing so as they stood shoulder to shoulder as brothers- and sisters-in-arms should. "Answer me!" he snarled himself, allowing his own draconian instincts through as his own fingernails sharpened themselves into claws.

POOF!

Suddenly a green sparkly substance flashed in their vision, temporarily blinding the pair as Elliot gave a grunt of surprise, shielding his eyes with his right arm. Just as he cleared his vision after five seconds, he blinked several times before noticing something alarming happened. He watched in fear as froth gathered in Sugi's mouth and she collapsed to the floor again with her eyes closed. "Sugi!" Now panic set in him at the sight of his best friend seemingly dead, dropping before her and bringing her face in his arm. "Come on, come on, girl, don't do this!" he begged, now on the edge of hyperventilating in absolute fear of losing her. "Sugi!" he nearly yelled again, eyes now slightly teary and wide with terror in his heart.

Before more could be said from him, though, footfalls now reached his ears. Turning around, he saw a humanoid being slowly approaching, a dark cloak covering its head and body, and draped all the way to the floor. Not the same one that had him and the D-Team captured all those months back, he quickly deduced, but the sight of him set Elliot off big time. "You!" he snarled with malice, his once-hazel eyes going goldenrod once more, with teeth transforming into fangs and his fingers sharpening into claws to the nail. A dragon's roar left his lungs as he lunged at the stranger with near-breakneck speed, damn well determined to get some answers.

But what he did not expect was for the newcomer to not only grasp his clawed arm before his claws could touch him - but also, that the hand that held it, had claws as well! The sight of which shocked the man's eyes back to their former state, as she had been completely and utterly caught off-guard. "What?" he breathed out in shock. Then, to add to his shock more, a deep draconian growl sounded off from this stranger as he swung an open right hand and smacked it on his chest with enough force to throw him to the ground right next to Sugi's body.

Now he looked to this stranger with a new sense of caution and fear, as he scrambled to his feet and flicked his blade out as fast as his already battered body would allow, panting from the shock and his own lack of strength. "Who are you?" he went on worriedly.

After that question was uttered, the claws on the stranger's hand disappeared, and in their place, delicate-looking fingers showed. He then raised his hands, pulled off the hood of his...her cloak, and pulled the clothing article off of her completely. Now, instead of a dangerous-looking male figure, Elliot saw a slender woman, rivalling Elsa in terms of mass, with a gentle-looking face, hazel-brown sparkly eyes, a small braid of tawny brown hair that dropped down the back of her neck, and a rather...substantial chest. On her person, clothing-wise was a hood made from the fur of a polar bear, a brownish-gold open vest over a black shirt, and going further down beneath the dark red warrior gown and covering her waist, dragon steel shin guards covered the lower half of her legs and brown leather sandals were worn on her feet, all the while...

The sight of this woman made him lower his weapons in levels of emotions that words like shock don't even begin to cover.

It was himself...

As a female!

For the next fifteen seconds, all he did was stare at this woman, who bore such an uncanny resemblance to himself. "What...the actual...?" Such was his shock, he couldn't even finish his sentence.

The woman gave a smile of amusement, holding a hand to her lips to stifle a small giggle. "It's remarkable, isn't it?" was her returning comment, her voice as gentle and smooth as silk as she slowly walked up to him.

"Remarkable?" he asked rhetorically, before laughing like he was losing what was left of his already low sense of sanity at that moment. "Wh-Th-there is nothing even remotely unusual about this, meeting yourself as a lady is completely normal, I'm just...I'm just-" He took a deep inhale of breath, bending down and putting his hand on his knees as the newcomer went over to him and put a hand on his shoulders for support, realising that this was an awful lot to take in and that he was having a near-anxiety attack.

"Okay-okay, just- calm down - breathe, slowly," she instructed with slightly wide eyes of concern looking at him. She had him mimic a few deep intakes of breath, three to four to be exact before he raised himself to his full height and resumed his staring contest, though a little bit more calmly than before.

"Okay, who are you exactly?" he asked first, pointing to her intently. "Am I losing my mind?" he asked next, holding his hands to his head and turning away, before casting his eyes to the still-deceased-looking sight of Sugi, his wide widening themselves again as he remembered a very important detail. "And what the hell did you do to Sugi?!" he asked as a demand in the end, gesturing to her and kneeling down to Sugi's level.

The newcomer only made a soft reply, sitting beside him and stroking Sugi's head and muzzle gently. "I wanted to speak to you, and I feared your friend wouldn't hesitate to attack if I got too close," she started off. "Besides, with her injuries - let alone your own - she needs the rest to regain some strength," she said. "That powder I sprayed at you will help treat her injuries as she sleeps."

Elliot, at that, relaxed even more now, knowing that his beloved feline was just in a deep sleep and was now apparently healing - or so she said. But it didn't answer all his questions. "And my other two questions?"

She gave another amused smile as she faced him. "Well, to answer one of your questions, no, you are not losing your mind." She ended with a slight laugh. "I can understand why you would be so shocked at my appearance." When finishing that last sentence, she raised herself back to her feet as her smile lost its amusement. "To answer your second question, it is okay to not recognise who I am in this form, as it is one that not many of our kin use frequently."

Something in what she said there made Elliot's eyes go wide.

"But perhaps you would know me...as this." From there, something jaw-dropping occurred.

It started slowly at first, Elliot watched as the strangers' eyes went from hazel brown to goldenrod, her fingers sharpening into claws and her teeth into sharp fangs. But then, her body slowly became surrounded by gold-coloured dust, giving off bright particles as her whole body changed. First, her ears went from human-like to membrane fins, then her body arched over forwards as spines grew and lined her back. Next, horns raised from her head and her hair fell away, her face extended while her nose retracted, her neck stretched out, and scaly wings started to form and extend from her near the centre of her spine. Finally, as she fell to all fours, her limb structure fixed itself to become quadrupedal-like while becoming four-toed on each hand and foot, a long tail formed from the bottom of her back, and her whole body grew in great proportions.

Elliot looked up in complete shock and awe. Standing before him now was a great dragoness, one that surpassed Brontikens in terms of size, with dark blue coloured scales that stretched all across her body, with the only exception being her undersides from her throat to the end of her tail being a light sparkly grey colour, the being before him now looking down at him with a proud, yet gentle-looking smile on her face. Unlike other dragons, though, she sported a short mane of white fur that covered around halfway down the back of her neck. Elliot could not believe just who he was looking at. Someone he and everyone in his homeland thought had died, a long, long time ago. "You...You're Queen Arom'ee..." He could barely whisper, such was the revelation that he found himself in. "My...great grandmother, you...you died..." he continued, slowly falling to one knee.

"My physical form died, yes...but the soul is something that can never be destroyed," Arom'ee replied slowly, her voice a tad bit deeper than before, but echoing through the air like a gust of wind. "I have waited, Caesar, for over hundreds, if not thousands of years. For you," she said, slowly raising her wings, making herself look bigger than she already was.

"You...were waiting for me?" Elliot asked in surprise, raising back to his feet. "Why?"

"Because she had asked me to allow so."

If Elliot had hackles, they would be raised to their highest at this third, deep voice, one that made him tense up to be as rigid as a tree. Ever so slowly, he turned himself around. And when he saw who it was, his heart nearly jumped to his throat.

A second dragon, one that was pitch black all over, but whose scales twinkled with bright blinking dots, like his body possessed an entire galaxy on his person. And unlike any other dragon, he stood upright, like a man, with his forelimbs having seven clawed fingers, his head having a crown of eight imposing horns, a smaller set of spines lining his maw, and four humongous wings on his back, and most important of all, he was big enough to rival the Earth Giants in height, maybe even surpass them.

Toonlooker from the outside world, this would be a monster you'd see in a kaiju movie. But to Elliot, this is the protector. The god, of dragons "Lord Draco..." Was Elliots barely wheezed words, bowing down on a knee, closing eyes and holding his head low to show his respect.

The lord of dragons gave a small smile "Rise, Caesar of Arendelle" Draco's voice rumbled, deep and powerful enough to bring the mortal man out of his kneeling, and look up to him "I stand before you today young one, and it pleases us knowing you are here, and heard my voice in the enchanted forest" He said

Elliot took this in, before raising a hand to his head and look down in deep thought "So it's true then... That, really was your voice. T-the forest, the dam!" He recalled, looking up at him again

"Yes Caesar, what you heard was no farce" Draco replied to him, kneeling down and reasting an arm on his knee "I allowed my voice to reach your ear, just as it was Iduna of the Northuldra that brought young Elsa to where she is now, whose voice echoed across the reaches of time..."

Iduna

That name echoed in his mind

And it wasn't long after that the wounded warrior recalled what he saw in that wave front before he and Sugi got scooped in the torrents. And speaking of which "How are my friend and I not dead? or are we already?"

Arom'ee gave a slight chuckle at this, making Elliot turn around to face his ancestor "No, but you did come close to being so" She said, before turning slightly more serious "The reason why you're not dead, is lord Draco's doing. I pleaded with him, to spare you of a watery grave. You have a grand destiny in store for you Caesar, one that was to be as such since the days before you were even an egg" She said, a tone that was a mix of pleading, and something else that Elliot couldn't quite predict.

He looked down, deep in thought.

His own destiny?

He looked back to Draco again, and stared into his eyes "What kind of destiny are we talking about here?"

The god of dragons made only a few sentences in reply, seriousness obvious in his tone "A fate that will unlock the full potential of the dragon you were denied at birth..." He started, gesturing to the opening cave into ahtohallan "and a destiny, that will end the hostilities between Northuldra and highfell... once and for all."

DK

"Go, Solar Fury!" Max called out, slashing said card

Terry allowed himself to wreath in flames as he leaped high into the air, the fire leaving his body and into a fireball that he roared into, allowing the rays of a solar flare to form a wall of fire that shoots across the ground, burning away any Trolls, Orcs and wargs that got caught in the flames

The battle of the enchanted forest had by now been going for thirty minutes straight, with Orcs and their troll muscle trying to attack the good guys from all flanks, bloodlust running deep in their veins and overriding any sense of strategy and caution. Several war trolls tried using their bodies as battering rams against Charles and Gertie, attempting to displace their legs so the giant souropods would topple over. This was met in failure with either a swinging neck, and stomp, or a tail smash to send them packing, as the pair weighed around fifty tonnes of dinosaur each, while the trolls only weighed eight. Around them though it was chaos. Several Northuldra, the Arendelle guard team, Kristoff and Sven tried their hardest to fight off some of the lesser orcs and wargs, but could only do so much against such reckless malice and hate. It was only thanks to the likes of Elsa scattering them with ice blasts, or the Pteranodons sweeping in with metal wing.

As for how the D-teams dinosaurs themselves fared, They were on a defensive front, trying to fight off the hundreds of orcs that came there way as well. Luckily those like Tank, Chomp and Pawpaw came with natural armour, while Spiny, Terry, Ace and their new ally had teeth and claws, allowing them to chance an offence when they need to. All Paris could do though was fight defensively with a swinging tail, or the occasional sonic blast from her crest.

The beast of ahtohallan however, surely lived up to his title as the protector of the forest. Not only did he possess lightning speed, it turned out that he was immensely powerful as well. By this point he had toppled and killed several cave trolls, and ploughed through tens of dozens of orcs. Whenever he took a break from simply jumping all over the battlefield, he used a slash of his claws to kill any a warg that tried its luck, and crunched his teeth down on orcs that tried to pick a fight. Even more surprising for a dinosaur his size, he actually had the strength to send trolls flying several yards away, either by giving them a powerful tail swipe, or just ramming them like an angry bull.

All in all, the battle was at a stalemate, for orcs and trolls seemed to fall whenever they tried to fight the dinosaurs, but the heroes were far from unscathed as well. By now, ten of the Northuldra people and two of the five arendelle guards had been slain, either falling due to inexperience in fighting such ruthless enemies, or-in the guard teams case- just old age and weary bodies. Though considering how outnumbered they were, it could've been going much worse.

At this point, Max, Rex and Zoe, covered in dust stood back-to-back as the brunet swiped what was now his tenth move card, being the solar fury that he had Terry use. Still with their dino blades on deployment they waved them at any orcs who thought them to be easy prey, keeping them away. But their resolve was crumbling, here they stood, as the battle around them raged, six to seven orcs had them surrounded, snarling and shrieking at them, imposing their dominance and scaring them. For while the D-team had gone all around the world, rescuing dinosaurs from the alpha gang, they never encountered these orcs. It was a whole new enemy to comprehend, and despite their heroism they were still children. Easy to have fear installed in their bodies with the right methods.

Zoe once again gave swipes with her blade at three orcs that tried edging closer to her, snarling and looking at her like a prize feast to have. It was easy to tell though that she and the boys were shaking, which only enticed their aggressors even more.

One suddenly made a lunge "LOOK OUT ZOE!" Max screamed, adrenaline filling his body as he rugby tackled the orc before Rex could stop him, sending them both to the ground. They wrestled for a few seconds before the orc gained the upper hand, pressing a clawed hand down on his chest and snarling his face, his dreadful looking dagger raised to give the killing blow. But before the death blow could given, Max, with his instincts driving him, took his dino blade arm, and thrusted forward with all his might and a shout.

His red and yellow blade could then be seen jutting out the orcs head, halting all sense of sound from the aggressor.

For the D-kids, their battle stopped at the sight. Max, with his body shaking in shock at what he did, removed his blade from his would-be killer, and pushed the body off of him, tears now appearing in his wide horrified eyes at the knowledge that he just took the life of another being. He couldn't even bare to look into his friends' eyes, fearing what they think of him.

The orcs however, had a different notion in mind. Revenge, snarling in anger, the remaining six forgot about the other two kids, and suddenly charged at the boy "MAX, RUN!" Rex and Zoe screamed to him, only to have their pleas fall on deaf ears.

Just then though, Minx suddenly came out of nowhere in a sprint, bashing down an orc that came the boys way, soon joined by Pawpaw that smacked the downed attackers away with his tail, snapping Max out of his frozen state as he looked to them. "Run guys! Go!" Minx called to the D-kids

"Go help the others! We can take these guys!" Pawpaw added in.

Rex and Zoe rushed over to their friends' side "Max come on, stay with us!" The blond started, grabbing his best friend by the shoulder

"I, killed him" He muttered, still feeling a bit fragile

"Come on babe, get up!" Zoe pleaded, hauling her lover to his feet by the arm as Rex grabbed the other, and together while keeping heads down, they rushed along the outskirts of the battlefield, keeping out of the way of even their own dinosaurs as they fought on, though they were spotted and joined by Chomp and Ace, who made sure to keep themselves between their friends and the enemy. Soon the kids found themselves hiding behind the body of a dead troll, it's rancid stench yet to ebb away. They kneeled down, keeping themselves hidden as they tried to catch their breath.

Rex's first priority was checking on Max, the Dinosaur King getting right in his face as he made direct eye contact "Max. Max!" He spoke, shaking his shoulders as the brunette proved himself irresponsive at first, staring blankly ahead of him. "Max, talk to me!" Rex pleaded, even going as far as patting the side of his face, worry now in his voice

His only response, looking down at his hands, slowly and shakily turning them so that his palms were facing him. Hands that took a life. Hands that now have blood, coating his fingers. How could Max look at himself the same way again? What would his friends, and family say about him? He was now a killer, a murderer. Just like Seth, when he mercilessly killed Rex's father.

"MAX!" Both Rex and Zoe screamed to him, snapping his attention back to them with a wild look.

Back amongst the battle, ice could be seen flying this way and that, either in forms of sheets on the ground, flying spikes or powerful guesses of snow. Elsa by now had frozen her own fair share of orcs, freezing them into statues of ice, twisting and twirling as she let her power fly all around her. Initially she was joined by Kristoff, Sven and Mattias but were all soon separated as the battle raged on. Thus far however, she had been performing a-okay on her own, hardening her heart for what she had to do. Now the orcs and remaining wargs around her were acting more cautiously, making mock lunges her way with growls and snarls. But making sure to not get too close.

However, before more could be downed, a familiar roar filled the air around them, and a shape could be seen leaping high into the air. The shape, of an acrocanthosaurus, which was now falling to the ground with a firebomb move card already activated.

Shocked at the sudden surprise attack, she casted a sheet of ice along the ground and skated away as fast as she could, just barely clearing the following blast as the dinosaur struck the ground, the following explosion either blasting the orcs away, or killing them within the blast itself. Having regained her breath, she turned to face Pyro, just as he raised himself to full height, his sail glowing in a tell-tale sign that he was gathering for a fireblast as he faced her "And so the moment has arrived" He started "Ice versus fire, spirit versus dinosaur, Queen against King, you, against, me" He spoke evilly "Feels like destiny, if you ask me"

She hardened her expression at him, forbidding herself to be afraid of him. He and her maybe the ice maiden and fire demon of the prophecy, but that doesn't mean she was going to lay down and cower before him "Hardly, for you make a pathetic excuse if you see yourself as such." She spat in a retort, and with a tone that not only caught Pyro off guard, but angered him greatly at the insult. "Guess trying to torment me in my dreams wasn't enough for you"

But her words, instead of filling the alpha dinosaur with anymore annoyance at her lack of fear, confusion entered his being, blinking his eyes in surprise "What? What do you mean?" He asked

"Don't play dumb with me!" Elsa went on "You have been appearing in my visions and dreams for months since before my wedding, and now I know why!" She spoke, coating her hands in ice once more.

"Nothing but a false claim to save your own skin" Pyro snarled back angrily, allowing his sail to brighten even more, ready to burn her, and unknowingly the child in her, alive "The way I see it if anything, you're trying to get inside my head!" He accused, ending his words with an angered roar.

Elsa's ready stance slightly faltered at that, and the glare she smacked on her face ever so slightly lessoned. His words and the tone of his voice, make it sound like as if he truly doesn't understand. 'He must know what I mean... right?' She thought to herself. He had been showing himself in her head for so long now, tormenting her with all kinds of horrid situations. Unless...

"Anyway, we're not here to chat, are we?" He suddenly asked rhetorically, snapping the ninth spirit from her thoughts "It's time for some sweet revenge, for what happened that day! For the humiliation, your in-laws wrought on me!" He roared "Surely you understand, why I can't allow you to live. And once I'm through with you... THEY WILL FOLLOW!" He screamed, finally letting a fire blast leave his jaws. Elsa, wide eyed and unable to counter the attack on time, braced herself with her arms in front of her, ready to meet the end... and perhaps, join her Elliot, in the afterlife.

...

...

...

...

Why is she still alive?

Shouldn't she be on fire by now?

She could definitely feel the flames.

Cautiously, she slowly opened one of her eyes, and looked ahead of her to see a most awe-inspiring sight. The front of the fire blast whipped wildly in front of her, obviously still blasting at her. Yet something, seems to be wrong. It was like, some kind of force-field was protecting her, blue, transparent whisps of light swirling and dancing wildly at the fire front. She could feel the raging heat of the fire, and yet, not one lick of the inferno even grazed her skin. Now far more curious, the battle around her forgotten, and seemingly hypnotised she stretched out one of her arms and hands, trying to feel the flames closer, coating her hand in ice to try and protect them. The flames, upon her limb being only millimetres away, seemed to part in a wavy kind of way, like someone touching the surface of water with a fingertip.

Soon though the flames died away, snapping her out of the moment, and seeing a wide eyed and shock fire breathing dinosaur before her "What!?" Pyro went

Elsa, either deciding to take a chance at a counterattack, or to settle her curiosity, shot her hand forward and let loose a stream of ice, a dead shot at his heart. The Acrocanthosaurus for his part saw the attack, and tensed himself up for the impact, closing and squinting his eyes away as he did. But while he could feel the cold of the Ninth Spirits' ice, he did not feel it touch him. Slowly Pyro peeled open an eye, and met a similar sight to what Elsa received, shocking him to no end. He came face to face with the bast front of her ice beam, this time red whisps of energy protecting him, until the beam died away.

For a while, and for the first time in his life, Elsa and Pyro didn't know what to think.

Caught off guard, the alpha acrocanthosaurus turned "We'll settle this later" He swore before walking away, uneasiness corrupting his mind

Back at Ahtohallen, Elliot - after his leg injury mostly healed from the puff of smoke from earlier - slowly followed his ancestor as she walked through the caverns of the glacier in her human form, ironically following the same trail that Elsa and whatever creature was her took. A straight cut through a narrow tunnel, a game of stepping stone across a wide gap (Arom'ee had a giggle as he slipped when he reached the end) and through the doors to what he could only describe as the main hall. That was when the tracks ended, and when she shifted back into her true form, wings, scales and all. Unlike what Elsa had done when she arrived, Elliot was led to a side door of sorts, tall and wide, and opened slowly wide a deep sounding creak as they approached, revealing a pitch-black chamber. He stopped short when his great grandmother blocked his path with her right wing, looking down at him as she did "I must warn you Caesar. What you see from here on out will test your resolve and belief. This chamber holds some of the most important moments in time that ahtohallan captures with it's magic. Some not so gone from this world as you might believe." She told him sternly. Elliot stared back for a moment, and then nodded once he mentally prepared himself, whatever happens. "Let him go on" she said

Poof

A great light suddenly flashed in the door way, going away as quickly as it came. He looked up at his ancestor again for a moment, and then back again "What's in there?" He asked

"Only what we find, young one. Only what we find" Arom'ee replied, nudging Elliot forward with her snout, making him walk into the chamber as she followed slowly behind. Onward he walked, tightening his hearing-

Come to me now...

Elliot gave out a gasp, pausing mid step at Elsa hauntingly songful voice that seemed to echo around him.

Open your door...

"Elsa?" He called out, a slight break in his voice "Elsa" He called again, scanning the room around him, trying to pierce his eyes through the darkness

"Your love is not here Caesar" Arom'ee assured Elliot softly, sensing his worry "What we are hearing is merely voices of the past. She has long since left this place" She continued as she looked down at him and walked on

"You mean she's dead..." He said, remembering seeing Olaf's remains float high into the air, causing Arom'ee to stop and look at him with a gentle look, seeing the heartbroken look on his face "And all I'm hearing are just... illusions at most"

She made a slight chuckle at that while shaking her head in a 'no' motion "Illusions are fake Caesar, and your mates voice is not one. As for dead... is she?" Was her gentle reply, before carrying on ahead. Eliot looked down, deep thoughts pondering for a moment before he marched to catch up.

Back outside, Sugi made a low sounding growl, slowly peeling open her eyes and shook her head a bit to get rid of any remaining dizziness. Upon remembering what happened before she passed out though, a snarl left her lips, looking around for any signs of her rider as she got up, sniffing the air as she did. Eventually, she noticed the tracks leading into ahtohallen, and ran off with a roar, following them into the glacier. And not bothering to realise that her injured leg was mostly healed.

Meanwhile within, Elliot was forced to lay his hand on his great grandmother's hind left leg to help navigate through the darkness. It was so dark, that not even his draconic eyes could help see in front of him, his only guide being the heavy footfalls Arom'ee gave as she slowly walked on. "Great Grandmother, where are we going exactly?" He asked seriously, a hint of worry in his tone

"Calm yourself Caesar" Arom'ee replied softly and calmly "We are here" she said breathlessly

Upon saying that, a pale and bright blue light suddenly broke through the darkness, the tale tale signs of another door slowly creaking open, this one much taller yet not as wide as the first one. Once it opened enough Elliot removed his hand from the ancient dragoness, and walked slightly on ahead of her. He soon reached the other side of the door, and gasped aloud at what he saw.

It was Ahtohallans memory chamber.

But... not as he expected it

Instead of a white snow-covered meadow as Elsa encountered it, inside, on a floor of solid glass and ice, he saw dozens upon dozens of sculptures and statues of different places and peoples from times past, all around the base of a large, and wide pillar that went upwards in a spiral shape. At the top of which, a gigantic orb that contained whisps of all the colours of the rainbow that swirled fluently. One thing that Elliot did notice about the sculptures, was that they were all based on either the Northuldra, the highfell peoples, arendellions... and a group in particular that took his breath away once more, a group of them, that stood right in front of him.

Standing before him were a group of statues that looked just like him, Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, Sugi, Trixie and Javelin. And sitting among them, were Max, Rex and Zoe, all with either smiles or laughter on their faces. He slowly walked towards them, his footsteps echoing throughout the chamber. He stopped just before the statue of Elsa, and look into it's blank eyes that bore a smile on her lips. Hesitantly he raised an open hand, and layed it across one of its cheeks, a slight sigh of longing leaving his mouth as he removed it after a few seconds. He looked slightly up to the left away from the group, and saw two perfect statues of Chomp and Terry standing side by side and facing outward, their mouths open in a roar and standing in a battle stance, roars that he could've swore that slightly echoed in his ears.

On and on he stared round and around, each statue and sculpture striking more and more wonder into his being, turning this way and that to see the ceiling above to be filled with all kinds of flying creatures, birds, alicorns, dragons, griffins, pterosaurs and more all high above, just frozen on air from different moments in the past.

He looked ahead again though, and yet another gasp sounded off, seeing something that nearly broke him.

He walked slowly onward, towards a moment in time he thought he'd never see. Before him stood three dragons, two adults and a sub adult around Ace's size - if not slightly larger - all standing around a large nest, with one of the adults burying its head into the chin of the other, the tell-tale evidence of dragon tears streaking down their faces. Elliot understood immediately that this was his family, the night that he was stolen as an egg, grieving in thinking that he was lost forever. Sadness crept into his heart as a tear left one of his eyes. Just how long was he truly lost to them? Did they think he was dead this whole time?

All the while Arom'ee looked on, a sorrow filled look on her face as her decedent lowered to his knees with his head down. She shifted herself into her human form once again, and slowly walked over to him, laying a hand on one of his shoulders, looking down at him like a mother to her child "You came into this world without the beginning you deserved. Without the love or care you should've been granted when you hatched" she said to start off.

Elliot sniffled

But then, a small smile appeared slowly stretched her human lips "But despite the pain, and the suffering you had to bare, you found, kinship. You found friends and family of both worlds. You, found, love" She said next, nudging the young man to feet as she then cupped one of his cheeks and looked into his eyes "And in a human no less. Doing so has achieved something I strived for myself when I had my own body" she said with an encouraging and uplifting tone

"What do you mean?" Elliot asked her with a slight croak in his voice

Arom'ee then rested a hand on one of his shoulders, and began leading him away from the upsetting sight "Caesar. Have you ever taken a moment to wonder how the Northuldra and Dragon-kind became enemies? How the brief yet promising peace between us was ripped apart so easily?" She asked him, softly yet earnestly as they walked on, glancing to him as she spoke

Elliot casted his eyes downward for a short moment, his mind in a pickle. Ever since he first reunited with his family he studied long and hard into his ancestor's culture and history, learning about everything he knew about them today "Not personally to tell you the truth. But I have read a few texts and articles in my father's mountain that describe what life was like back then. Then they start going on about how the Northuldra just turned on us... I never understood why" Which was true. Even though the scribes on dragon life in ancient times were very informative, and even entertained him in some aspects, they were very vague on the splitting of the two nations as the war between them began. All he understood is that the Northuldra turned on them suddenly and without warning, slaying many a highfell warrior and child, including Arom'ee, and her mate, the dragon king Rahdunn.

"Yes, and some of those texts hold the truth" Arom'ee said next, halting their slow walk and stepping in front of him "There was a time where our peoples lived together in harmony. We danced, played, helped and even fought for each other. See that orb, at the top of the pillar" She looked up at said object, with the young hunter following suit "That is ahotohallans heart. The very core of it's magic. And what we need to help you understand your purpose here" She then said.

Shortly afterwards she baked up a few paces and prepared to shift into her dragon form, when a new sound suddenly thundered through the air, one that Elliot recognised immediately with alarm.

Sugi was coming.

And she did not sound happy.

Sure enough, out of the opening they entered from, the familiar dark grey sabertooth cat came charging through, another shorter roar leaving her mouth as she set her eyes on her new target. She weaved and leapt around and over all of the ice and snow sculptures that she came across, and shortly was ready to pounce on Arom'ee, ready to tear the wide-eyed dragon woman a new one. Elliot quickly doubled back, putting himself in between the two females and stretched out his hands "Whoa whoa whoa, Sugi stand down!" He first exclaimed to her, the feline now pacing about with snarls and growls "Stop! Enough!" He ordered sternly "She's a friend!"

At this, Sugi allowed herself to slightly relax, losing the pouncing urge in her stance, but still kept her eyes locked on the potential threat as Elliot turned back, now placing his hand on her shoulders "I'll just go on the record and say that you probably made things worse by knocking her out" he told Arom'ee in a quip

"Perhaps" The spiritual dragoness did have the decency to look a bit embarrassed for herself at this, with a small sheepish smile on her face. Maybe putting her to sleep wasn't such a good idea after all, even if it was to help heal her "But it just goes to show the bond you two share. You are incredibly lucky to have a friend like her, Caesar"

"I know" Elliot replied, matching his ancestor's soft tone "I, practically raised Sugi since she was a defenceless cub" He said, turning back to the said feline as she then looked to him with a now much gentler look "We trained, ate, slept, even played from time to time whenever I could find the time away... away from my tormentors that is"

"Which proves what I said before" Arom'ee went on, bring Elliots sight back to her "Despite the life you were forced to endure, you found kinship. You found someone to love, and bring you happiness, even though you and your significant other lived so far apart" she said next, which again was true, the journey between the highfells and arendelle wasn't exactly just around the corner, never mind the trip to the enchanted forest on top. Arom'ee then took Elliot by the hand again "That is part of the reason why they allowed you in here" She then said

"They?" He asked

Suddenly, like the glare of the sun the whole chamber filled with a sudden burst of light, blinding both him and Sugi respectively as they scrambled to cover their eyes. The light retained its powerful sharpness for what felt like hours, before finally dimming just enough to lose its blinding capabilities, allowing him to open his eyes. A gasp once more left his lungs quickly, as now not only Draco stood before him, slightly shorter than before to prevent him from damaging the ceiling. But he was now accompanied by a bright multicoloured phoenix that nearly matched him in size. The description and appearance of which, could only mean one being in particular "Are... are you...?" He asked the phoenix hesitantly with wide eyes, such was his shock and wonderment in the presence of two gods as he dropped down on one knee.

It was thanks to the D-team that he knew just who stood next to his own deity.

"Yes, young one" She started calmly and kindly "I am, indeed... Seikatsu" Her voice around the chamber

The war of the Nothuldra had by now been going on for almost up to an hour, and with each moment more and more losses and injuries on both sides had taken place. Thankfully by now half of the orc horde had been slain, by either elemental attack, tooth, claw or otherwise. But the D-teams dinosaurs were injured themselves and beginning to tire, having by now received scars and scratches that bled thanks to the jaggedness of the orcish weaponry, never mind the bruises they all got from two or more lucky hits from the cave trolls clubs.

But the D-kids had their own concerns at the moment, and that was trying to get Max back in fighting state of mind "Max, no one here is gonna blame you for what happened just now" Rex told him, as the three still hid behind the dead troll's body

"But Rex-" Max started, with his hands still slightly shaken as was his tone of voice

"SNAP OUT OF IT BABE!" Zoe suddenly shrieked, stopping her boyfriends words dead in its tracks as he looked up to the pinkette with wide eyes. Zoe quickly lowered her volume as she continued "Max, we won't pretend to know what you're thinking right now. But you gotta believe me when I say you did the right thing in that moment" She spoke next, firmly yet gently "That thing would've killed me if it weren't for you. Don't you see babe? Even though you took another beings life, you saved me. Probably saved all of us" She then wrapped her arms around his shoulders, bringing Max into a tight comforting hug "You're still the same Max we care about. The same that I love. And whether or not you do such things like this, that love I have for you will never change, and I know everyone of the dinosaurs feel like that too" She pulled back, and cupped his cheeks with her hands, wiping away the small amount of tears that began to pour from his eyes "The D-team as a whole needs you Max. Rex needs you. I need you... and I love you, more than anything" She finished, planting a firm kiss on his lips.

The contact lasted for nearly a full minute, with Max eagerly the affection before they pulled apart. He blinked a few times, as if trying to get his mindset right before he looked into his girlfriends loving eyes, his breath taken away from the words that she said "Zoe..." He said breathlessly, a small adoring smile appearing on his face "I don't know what to say..." Were his next words as she smiled back at him

"Then don't say anything" Rex perked up, catching his best friend's attention as the blond stood up again "Stay with us, and keep fighting. For all of us" He spoke next, offering a hand to him "I'm the Dinosaur King, but when it comes to our team you're the leader. You're also my best friend. And nothing can, or will, change that" he said in praise, a committed smile on his face.

Max for his part, stared at Rex for a few moments, glancing at the offered hand a few times, before his own determined smile broke across his face, taking the blonds hand and allowed himself to be hauled to his feet "Let's go help our dinos" He said, with Rex and Zoe both nodding in agreement as they all ran out from their hiding spot, and quickly spotted their dinos, still fighting strongly against the hordes, yet battling their own fatigue as well "Zoe, time for a power boost!" He said to her

"You got it!" She spoke back, bringing out her move card "Go, Natures blessing!" She called out, slashing the card

Paris glowed green, raised up on her hind legs and allowed the tell-tale green leafy tornado surround her, healing her own wounds as they swirled around her, before letting the power fly out from her mouth. The green energy flowed across the battlefield, coating all of the other dinosaurs. Terry performed neck crusher on a war troll as the energy flowed around him, Chomp plowed through several wargs and their riders with electric charge, Spiny did a tail smash on another troll, Ace roared and snapped at Wargs that came in too close to him, and Tank rolled herself into a spiky ball and performed a mole attack on even more enemies.

Around them, Gertie and Charles also had the healing power flow around them two, the seismosaurus in particular giving a loud roar as she batted several trolls away with her tail and powerful feet, her mate following suit. Up in the air Jet, Turbo and Glider grouped up and performed an arial strike, scattering even more enemies that were picked off by the Opthalmasaurs, leaping out water pools that appeared wherever they leapt and landed, slamming into armoured cave trolls, or dragging orcs to a watery grave. Dutch gave his own predatory hiss, the Deinosauchus snapping away at orcs and wargs alike along with a thrash of his tail and occasionally chomping them into pieces, with Futaba nearby and firing his super cannon away at another attacking troll, blasting it a few yards away and saving a few Northuldra people in the process. Finally, was the Cryolophosaurus, who gave a mighty leap away from a troll as it swung its gigantic bludgeon, before striking to and fro at a rapid pace and raising it high in the air, and then gave a powerful kick back to the ground, killing it on impact.

The amp up in the D-teams dinosaurs' stamina and power didn't go unnoticed however. Grarzog for one looked on as his face shifted into an angered scowl. Out of the thousand strong horde he brought his battle, now only five hundred remained, the majority being his fellow orcs, with the supporting cave and war trolls he hired now dangerously low in reserve. Ideally, he could order one of his remaining warg riders to ride back down south of the orc lands through the tunnels the were-worms made, but by the time they get here, it might be too late. Before he could consider a next course of action "The hordes work is finished my friend" Maleficent spoke in his tongue, shifting his alert gaze away from the battle and on to her "It is time for the next phase" She said coolly, looking to him as she did. Garazog gave a slight grunt, before nodding his head to Bolg that stood to his right. The younger but still imposing orc nodded back, before blowing on the horn in his hands.

The sound caught everyone's attention, orc and otherwise, one of which shouting out an order in black speech before they all suddenly turned and started marching away, some of which leaving their would-be kills in their wake. Even the most bloodthirsty orcs know better than to cross their leaders, lest they be fed to the wargs. Their departure from the field of course was not missed by the D-team and all the other heroes "They're falling back?" Rex observed in question.

"That's, a miracle" Max quickly added.

"But why would they do that!?" Zoe went on.

"Never mind that for now, we got to round up anyone that was injured in the battle and regroup" Rex suggested, his two friends nodding in agreement as their deactivated their dino blades, and then split up across the battlefield, helping any of the Nothuldra that was hurt in the battle with their dinos at their side, trying not to throw up at the many dead that now littered the once beautiful meadow.

Back at the forest entrance, a certain redheaded princess was propped up against the standing stone of fire, though slowly coming out of her unconscious state, and by now bared blisters and scorch marks on her face and hands due to Maleficents attack on her person from earlier, her clothes and hair now also singed with many burnt holes in her outfit. She gave a pained groan, massaging her temples while trying to ignore the painful stinging sensation on her hands and fingers. Upon being able to slowly open her eyes, she first found herself staring into the eyes of the white wolf once more, but then looked past him and shock filled her when she saw Kristoff coming towards her, his outfit torn and weared down, covered in sweat, panting and most shockingly, his trusty pickaxe covered in orc blood, and even walking with a limp with a dirty looking Sven supporting him. "Kristoff!" She exclaimed, making an attempt to find her feet, only to collapse again with a pained gasp as the moon maw eased her back to the ground by supporting her body with his head before backing away

"Easy Anna!" Was the mountain man's reply, unhanding Sven and went to crouch down next to her, his concerned face getting in close to hers "I'm okay. I'm more worried about you for now" He said next

"Where's Elsa?" Anna suddenly demanded, remembering what had happened before she passed out.

"I'm here Anna" Her sisters voice rang out over the noise of the crowd, the princess turning to see a shockingly fit blond spirit calmly walking up to her,

"Are you okay?" She asked frantically, trying to ignore her injuries and the splitting headache she got

"I'm okay I promise" Elsa replied, bringing her into an embrace, but was quick to pull away as the red head gave a pained inhale of breath "Sorry"

"It's okay" Anna reassured softly, taking some deep breaths before addressing her sibling once more "What's... what's going on?"

Kristoff was about to reply as the D-team came up to them, having finished helping Yelana and Matias group up their people when a roar sounded through the air. They all looked out, and worry filled them as they watched all of the alpha gangs dinosaurs walking down the slope into the valley, with Brontikens and Dynerra, Scowler and Bulldust leading the way. Terry, Chomp and the rest of the D-teams dinosaurs all put themselves in a line between their friends and the enemy once more, with Charles and Gertie standing behind them and the Pterrosaurs circling overhead.

Max, Rex and Zoe were quick to rush to the front of the line, stepping in front of Terry and Chomp, sending a sharp look at the evil dinosaurs that greeted them. This time, they were facing opponents they were more experienced with, so the fear level was nowhere near as high as before, showing cautious but determined glares on their faces. "You think the attack from the orcs were just to soften our dinosaurs up?" Max asked his friends

"That would be my guess, they engaged our forces first to weaken us, and then the Alpha gang comes in to clean house, makes sense to me" Rex hypothesised

"But at least now, we're facing enemies we know how to beat" Zoe added in, before a small cheeky grin came upon her face "And I for one have been keeping a secret weapon"

"Hmm? /You have?" The boys asked her, and even their dinos looked to her in slight confusion. She didn't bring anymore assist cards, did she?

"Watch this, but don't freak out please?" She said in reply, bringing a water move card out from her gadget "Here we go again Spiny!" She yelled determinedly as she swiped her card with a battle cry "Deep Sea Terrorise!"

Spiny gave a loud roar as he glowed blue, making some of the more familiar alpha dinosaurs tense up in preparation for a new attack. But something unexpected popped up.

Nothing happened.

"Uhh... something supposed to happen by now?" Gigas asked

"Maybe she had a faulty move card?" Maximus guessed, somehow able to overhear the call

"Ha! Guess it's our lucky-!"

Armatus found himself along with just about all of the alpha dinosaurs scared out of their hides and scattered in panic as a massive aquatic creature suddenly jumped out of the ground with a splash of water, and then arched downwards with a great terrifying roar revealing its mouth of razor-sharp teeth, before crashing back into the waters beneath it. The creature in question was long and serpent-like in shape, a head that was mixed of snake and crocodile, four relatively small flippers attached to a large, streamlined body, and propelled by a powerful and large paddled tail, all of which was spotted by small bumps and spikes running down it's back like a crocodile. This gigantic prehistoric moby dick, which came to be a third of the length of Gertie and Charles, was the king of the cretaceous oceans, a.k.a Hell's aquarium.

The reactions to seeing such a leviathan were as varied as there were many "WHOA WHAT!?" The alpha trio went as Dr Z went slack jawed

"What is that!?" Charles asked, with as much shock as the alpha gang

"MOSASAURUS!" Chomp yelled out, utterly baffled at the sight as were the rest

"That's how you make a comeback!" Zoe exclaimed, shocking Max and Rex as they looked to her "Great job Ares!" She called out to their new ally

The Mosasaurus, Ares glanced over at the pinkette at the call of his new name as he swam around the battlefield, and gave another roar in thanks to her praise of him "Wait, was that Spiny's new move card?" Rex asked Zoe

"It sure was!" Zoe replied giving a bashful smile "Spectre and I had a talk after he gave us all the new move cards"

Flashback

"A Mosasaurus card?" Zoe asked the space pirate leader, holding the move card in her hand

"Seikatsu came to me not too long ago, saying that your mission to save dinosaur kind would get more and more serious as time goes by, eventually coming under threat by an evil not too different from Shi and the Cosmos stones" He said to her "I fear this darkness is closer at hand than she anticipated, which moved me to create these new powerful cards in the first place, including your swamp attack card. My advice for this one in particular, would be to only use him when absolutely necessary" He told next as he laid a hand on her shoulder

"Does he have a name I can call him?" She asked next

"I didn't come up with one. But he insisted that he be called Ares, which I think suits him fine" He replied to her

Flashback ends

"Now, who's up for round two!?" Zoe asked the two boys

"I am!" Max added in as determined grin took place on his face

The dinosaurs, and even Dutch however were more apprehensive than their human friends. While sightings of this species were rare in the old days, all they could think of was how those massive jaws could rip anything short of an Argentinosaurus apart with their powerful jaws. Not that any of them actually saw one, meaning that it was only a rumour. Even so, they were willing enough to fight this battle to protect the forest and its people as Terry roared at the enemy. If they could befriend a Deinosuchus, it's possible to do the same here.

On the side of the bad guys, most of their dinosaurs were completely caught off guard with fearful reactions at the knowledge that the D-team now controlled such a powerful apex predator, mainly coming from the likes of the alpha gang. There were however those that had more fascination in their eyes more than anything. Maleficent for her part in particular was truly impressed, for as each moment passed, the more and more the D-team surpassed her expectations, for one moment there were only a pitiful six to contend, and then the next moment, an army's worth fought off half of Grarzogs legion, and more just kept appearing apparently. Having admitted that to herself however, she couldn't help but feel a slight hint of disappointment, for while their power was impressive, surely it wouldn't be enough to keep her from her prize. Deciding to let the game carry on for a little bit longer she raised her staff again, and banged it on the ground beneath.

It was the signal that Scowler and Bulldust had waited, both mutants giving a roar as they moved in "Here come the freaks" Terry comments

"So they're now fighting, what about the rest of them?" Chomp said, gesturing with his head at the rest of the alpha gangs that had yet to move since regrouping after Ares's sudden attack

"Oh, do not worry about them, nooo, your fight is with us for now" Bulldust spoke up having overheard what they said "But, perhaps you in particular should sit this one out as you are without a horn, yeess"

Chomp snorted angrily at the reminder, refusing to back down "You don't talk to my mate like that!" Paris raved at the mutant sauropod angrily, rushing up beside her mate loyally and she even pawed the ground

"Says who, bitch?" Scowler snapped back, swinging his considerably longer horns in a threat display along with his Thagomizer tail

"Back off!" Chomp roared, charging ahead with an anger filled roar with the rest of the D-teams main dinosaurs doing the same

"All together you guys, we gotta take 'em down before they can react!" Max called out as he, Rex and Zoe all brought out a move card for each of their dinosaurs "Lightning Spear!"

Chomp roared again as he glowed yellow and lightning surrounded him, charging ahead directly at the other ceretopsid and jumped in the air as he collided with him, a spear of lighting thrusting through him dead centre, making him twitch greatly from the electricity. But as Chomp landed again, he was shocked to see that Scowler did the precise same thing as if he wasn't damaged "You can do better than that, can't you kid?" He called over at the brunet mockingly

"Huh!?"

"Nothing!" Rex exclaimed as he joined his best friend "Come on Zoe, we'll try a combo move. Mayfly!" He announced as he slashed his card

"Ultimate leaf!" Zoe shouted, backing up the dinosaur king

Both Ace and Paris glowed their respective colours as they got to work with Bulldust. First Ace ran in quickly and vanished without a trace, running a circle around the mutant sauropod as he looked around in confusion, before striking him from all directions in a haze. Whilst he did that, Paris began a charge of her own in a powerful leafy tornado, and just as Ace broke off after making one last strike, the parasaurolophus struck him right in the chest.

"Ahh!" Bulldust grunted in slight pain from the strike as he slightly stumbled backwards. But to Paris, it felt like hitting a brick wall as she too backed up in dizziness "Most impressive, yeess! You're showing much better ruthlessness than last time!" He said in a compliment to the now dizzy Paris as she shook her head "But now it's time to unleash the secret weapon!" He said, before sending her flying with a swing of his armoured neck, sending her flying and making her land right next to her partner

"Paris!" Zoe yelled out in worry

"Grr!" Max grunted in annoyance. Where was Bruni and Gale when you needed them? 'What did he mean by secret weapon?' Max wondered to himself.

That was when he noticed Sykes, Gothal and Hans slowly walk up the barely phased lab experiments "A good show young D-team, I for one applaud" Gothal called over to the D-kids with a mocking smirk on her face that the two men copied "This has earned you the right to see precisely what our new friends are capable of" She said, holding up a move card.

But there was something about it that didn't make sense "Why does she have an earth move card?" Ace spoke, confusion in his voice

"That doesn't make sense" Tank backed up, before snickering to herself "I think you picked up the wrong card there, hag!" She called over the elder woman

"I have?" Gothel asked in mock shock, looking at the card in her hand before gasping, a hand on her heart and even went as far as putting on a dramatic effect "Why, so I have, how clumsy!" She went on. But making sure no one noticed her smirk as she placed it to her neck side, activating it!

Imagine the D-teams stunning shock when they saw Bulldust glow not blue, but purple! "Eh!?/What!?/Huh!?" Each of the three children went. Bulldust gave an almighty bellow as a crystal grew on the club end of his tail, and formed the familiar shape of a quake saber of all moves! With accuracy that would make a highly trained sharpshooter jealous he span and slashed it across an utterly stumped Terry, Chomp and Spiny, slicing all three of them and making them all collapse to the ground.

"He just used Quake Saber!" Ace exclaimed as the entire team watched

"But-but! Bulldust is a sauropod, he can't do that!" Zoe retorted, nearly shouting at the impossibility of the situation

"That is when the impossible becomes possible, yeess!" The mutant in question retorted back, very smug about himself mind you as Gothel pulled out another card

"Here's something that will make more sense to you, I hope" She taunted, before placing it on her neck side once again

This time Bulldust glowed blue, and the familiar whirlpool of a shockwave formed around him, before slamming his front left foot and sent at Paris and Ace, catching them within before the sauropod charged and knocked them both to the ground "What the actual shit!? No, seriously, what is this shit!?" Tank yelled at the top of her lungs, angry and bewildered.

"He just went back to water again!" Terry exclaimed

Elsa, Anna and the others who watched from a safe distance, couldn't believe their own eyes as they watched on with wide orbs and agape mouths. It was already one thing about dinosaurs controlling the elements, but to have the power over two? that was very much unheard of to say the least.

As for the D-team. All that Max, Rex and Zoe could do at this moment was look on, completely stumped at what they saw. Never before had they heard of or seen anything about a dinosaur that could switch elements and thus the kind of move cards that he uses, let alone on a whim like what Bulldust had demonstrated. Yet here it was, for all their eyes to see. "I think I understand..." The blond said, causing Max and Zoe to look to him as he explained "Look at those two. Bulldust is a sauropod, but has the armour and club tail of an ankylosaur, while Scowler is a Triceratops but has the plates and spiky tail of a stegosaur, meaning they have the powers of two dinosaurs at once!" He said, utter shock filling him as his own realisation filled him "Which means... they have the control over more than one element simultaneously"

"Right, and because they have two elements powering them, they're not restricted to one set of move cards they can use in battle" Zoe went on in dread

"That means..." Max added in, looking away blankly as shock and even disgust filled him "Each of them are some kind of... Hybrid!" He exclaimed

"Ding ding ding!" Sykes's voice called over, catching the attention of the three children and their main dinos as they stood back up "That's the beauty of 'em, and here, how about this to go with it" He went before inserting a card to his hat. Scowler then glowed purple as static ran along the plates on his back and gave a roar, before his tail raised and letting a spike arrow barrage shoot out of his thagomizers.

"Tank, watch out!" Rex called out to her.

Before the Saichania could even think of moving, Pawpaw suddenly leapt out in front of her and took the arrows head on, roaring out as they all fell from his body harmlessly "Is that all you got, you bully!" He snapped at the hybrids

"Thanks kid" Tank said in thanks to the smaller ankylosaur as the rest managed to get back to their feet

Meanwhile on the other side of the field "Man this is ridiculous, we got the numbers on our side for once, let's go!" Armatus roared out impatiently, something that Gigas and Maximus could relate to in this case

"Screw this!" Gigas snapped in reply, scraping the ground and preparing to charge "I'm going in, anyone else?"

"Count me in!" Maximus roared, before all three of them began a charge into the battle

And a few paces away "It's not every day I agree with those three, but for once, I'm making an exception!" Screamer growled before he, Slasher, Fang, Bailey, Thud and even Bruton followed the trio, much to the frustration of those that stood their ground.

But before the new attackers could join in, two chibi dinos went in and stood in their path "Stop!" The one in black shouted, making all of them halt in their tracks "Our mistress did not order you to engage!" She continued

"Well, Pyro did it!" Fang commented back in a slight growl

"Yes, and he will receive punishment for that!" The white one snarled back, coming over to his siblings side "You were all told to make sure no one tries to escape!"

"Yeah, and no one exactly told us why that matters!" Maximus retorted, getting right in his face, her nose horn a millimetre away from his snout "And anyway, who are you two tikes to stop us" She mocked, making the pair growl

"Oh, they don't have to" Maleficents voice sounded darkly, making all the confidence in the triceratops drop as the witch walked in on her left. She was one not even Brontikens wanted to trifle with "Besides, I have need of them now" She said with a cool smirk. In response the pair of chibi dinos looked to her, a dark hunger and bloodlust coming into their vision as she smirked back at them with an equal darkness "Well?" She asked, as she presented an open hand, her palm facing upwards. At that moment, each of them glowed a hellish green, much like her fire, and appeared in card form in her fingers.

Much to the shock of everyone around her, she set the cards alight, and sprinkled their ashes over the scepter of her staff. It too then set itself aflame, as she then grasped it in both hands "Go my pets" She said into the small orb, as the inside of it swirled that dark green again, like a vision from a nightmare "Step forth now, and destroy them!" She then exclaimed, thrusting her weapon forwards, and shooting out from it with a crack of thunder in their wake, two bodies formed. One in a green static, the other and larger, her signature flames.

The whole battle paused as the two figures made themselves known and the battlers faced them. The first to come emerge from the green fire was a large bipedal animal, a theropod like Terry, Spiny and Ace. It was larger though, around fifteen meters in length, and a complete coloration of chalk white all over. It had a carnosaur styled head, but its teeth were set on the rims of its mouth and had no lips, meaning it was more like a crocodile's mouth then dinosaur. Other than that, it also sported long arms like a raptor, with three large claws, and even sported a thumb like limb as well! What set it apart most of all, was not only the quills that came out of its elbows and the back of its head, but also the fact is that from the from neck to tail, a row of osteoderms completely covered the spine of its body.

The creature that formed from the green static was much like the first one, only this one was a hellish black all over with a yellow stripe lining its flanks like Terry, and was much smaller, more like Utah in terms of size. Its arms were longer, meaning it could either run on four legs or two, with hands bearing horrendously sharp claws, again with a thumb claw to go with it. Its feet however, bared the deadly raptor sickle claw, and the creature itself had a more streamlined build, possibly meaning it fights with agility and speed rather than brute strength like its counterpart.

Other than that, the resemblance between the newcomers was uncanny, both of them giving off a resounding shriek or roar to announce their presence "New players, watch out!" Spiny called out, though not failing to notice Bulldust and Scowler backing off

"Who and what are these two?" Rex exclaimed, before he noticed the smaller black one making a beeline straight for them "Watch out Ace!"

"I see him!" He called back. He lunged and made to snap at it, only for it to disappear in a blur. The Carnotaurus tried to follow it by eye, but before he knew, he was suddenly pounced on, and found him on his back

"That him is a her" She hissed, and the new attacker stabbed her sickle claws in and bit down into his neck hard, drawing blood as he cried in pain and agony

"ACE!" Rex cried in horror of what was being done to him

"Hang on buddy!" Chomp roared before charging in, only to be interrupted as the larger white one used his hands to grapple his head by his remaining horn, and using the momentum he span the triceratops around, and upon letting go he flew into Terry and Tank, making them all crash to the ground

"This is getting out of hand you guys!" Paris exclaimed as she looked over to their human friends

"You're right about that. It's time to start working together properly!" Rex replied, swiping a move against his bracer "Stay strong Ace, Cyclone!"

Ace roared as a tornado suddenly surrounded him, forcing his attacker to abandon her rampage. From there he charged straight at Scowler, who braced himself to counter it. But he didn't expect him to leap high into the air "Do it!" He called out

"Chomp, thunder driver!" Max called out as he swiped the card

Chomp roared as he glowed yellow, before lightning struck him and powered him up. Then he too jumped up and joined Ace in the air, matching his height, before both aimed downwards, and started spinning in a spiral, fusing their elements as the pair shot down towards the triceratops hybrid.

Not far away, the albino hybrid watched the spectacle before glancing at his mistress "I believe I held back long enough, mistress" he said

Maleficent gave a cruel smile as her orb glowed again "Then go, Ravage" She said, before aiming her staff at him "Let them know your roar"

The hybrid, Ravage, glowed multicolour as he turned back towards the battle, something that the other three noticed "Now would be a good time to retreat, yeess" Bulldust said to the other two, caution in his voice as they all doubled back, much to the confusion of the D-team as Chomp and Ace twisted themselves right side up as they landed on the ground

"Huh?" They all questioned

Ravage then gave a massive intake of breath, before opening his jaws, and upon lowering to stand on his hands and feet, he unleashed the most powerful and ear shattering roar the D-team had ever heard. Not only was it like a sonic cry that could shatter glass and break eardrums, but the actual force of the roar was like standing in a category five tornado, like gale, only seemingly much more powerful! So powerful that even Charles and Gertie had to dig in to keep their footing, the blast front reaching them and the other supporters, forcing Jet and his brothers to land, and Ares, Futaba and the opthalmosaurs to dive, Dutch quickly joining them.

As for the Max and the others "Grr! AHHH!" The three kids went sailing away in the roars wind stream, screaming in terror as they went flying

"NOOO!" Their dinosaurs screamed in terror themselves before being chucked into the air as well, thankfully not flying away as the two giant souropods acted as a wall for them all

This all wasn't even taking in account of Elsa and her half of the party being terrified at the sight "Oh no, D-team!" Elsa shouted at them, panicked eyes watching them sail and tumble over the air as they continued to scream

"We're coming kids!" Mattias called out before the pair of them, along with an equally shocked Kristoff and Sven rushed out, the reindeer giving a panicked groan

"Catch them!" Anna cried desperately, not noticing a certain spirit dashing out of the forest behind the crowd

With the speed of lighting, Gale moved fast enough to send Elsa and her makeshift party spinning and tumbling to the ground, the wind spirit arching up and managing to catch Max and Rex. But she somehow missed a certain pinkette, much to the horror of the two boys and the wind spirit "ZOE!" The two boys cried, Max more heart shattering than Rex as Zoe went screaming, still flying miles over the forest, much to the horror of the entire D-team and their dinosaurs as she disappeared from sight

Or would've have done, were it not for something suddenly catching her by the back of her yellow top, throwing her head and limbs forward from the momentum. After catching her breath, she found herself going wide eyed as she noticed that one of the earth giants was the one to catch her, looking at her with concerned frown on its face, a slight groan coming from its rocky mouth. Was it asking her if she was okay? "T-thank you" she gasped out, now feeling very sick as she was lowered to the ground

"Zoe!" Max called out to her as he ran over to her "You okay?"

"I'm fine Max!" She reassured him, engaging in a quick hug before the pair ran back to the battle.

However, it didn't cross their minds that the earth giants, seemed to keep away from the battle, holding an expression on their faces of caution as they looked over the battle ahead.

DK

Elliot at this point seemed to receive one shocking surprise after the other. Not only was he in the presence of his ancestor's ghost, but he now stood in the same chamber as the god of the dragons and the goddess of the dinosaurs themselves, all of which giving him a calm welcome look.

Up to now, all he heard about the goddess were from what the D-team told him and Elsa about her, how she was the one who gave balance to the dinosaur world alongside her brother 'Shi' whoever he was, all the way up to their falling out when the latter sent the asteroid to earth so long ago. They also told him how she had the power over the six dinosaur elements, and that she used as such to create both the crown of the dinosaur king, and the stone plates that would contain the cries of the dinosaurs that praised her, making her equal in power to draco, if not... maybe more powerful.

According to what Spectre and the space pirates in particular told his father Panthos, Seikatsu was life incarnate, compassionate and warm hearted, while her brother was the embodiment of darkness and doom. From what Elliot knew of Draco, he was neither light nor darkness. Merely the balance of life as he knew it, a being of life and death, like how the sun reflects the moon and vice versa. Could there be more to all three gods than he or anyone else knew? "I... I..." Elliot couldn't form the words to reflect his thoughts in this moment

"Be at ease, young one" Seikatsu replied, her voice warm and gentle like a summer breeze "I know us being here with you must be a lot to take in." She said next, taking pity on him

All that Elliot could do in response to her words was slowly nod a few times, as he laid a hand on Sugi's back to prevent from likely falling to his knees "You might say that" He muttered back

"The meeting of deities of two different yet similar peoples is an occasion that human phrases, such as 'once in a life time' does not even begin to even comprehend" Draco said next as he looked down at him in a serious tone "When we do, it is always for the noblest, and wisest of purposes" he carried on, before kneeling down toward him.

Arom'ee, being a little more sympathetic shifted into her human form again, and once that was done, she stepped right into her great grandchild's line of sight as he spoke once more "I... I don't understand. Why did you bring me here? What, do you want from me?" He asked as concern as he made eye contact "More for that matter. Why are you here?" He continued, looking directly at Seikatsu as he did

"I know from what the D-team told you that you would only understand me as the dinosaur goddess" She said as the beginning as her gentle reply "But I am also a being of light and compassion to all creatures of this world, both big and small. As such, it is my role in life to preserve that light" She explained

"She and her brother Shi, even now, keeps the world in balance with their light and darkness. If one of them were to die, the world as you know it, would cease to exist" Draco explained to him "But too much of either element, could be just as catastrophic. Especially if the wielder has less then noble intentions" He carried on, as a dark tone mixed in with his words

"That is part of the reason they allowed you to be here, Caesar" Arom'ee said, catching Elliots attention again "There is something about this place that not even the Northuldra know about. Something twisted and dark"

"What would that be?" He asked next.

Arom'ee took Elliot by hand, and under the watchful eye of both gods began to lead him up the spiral path towards the orb. The path they took had them walk around the pillar twice, before reaching the top, now only a couple of feet away from the magical sphere. With slight encouragement, Elliot slowly and tentatively placed his hand on the glass like object.

Ba-boom Ba-boom

Not only did Elliot hear the vibrations of the heart pulsating, he also felt it resonate through his entire being, the shock and sudden feeling of such causing him to gasp and remove his hand. "You feel it" He turned to her once more as she looked at him intently "The core of this place... filled with every last piece of all our history, to this very moment" she told him, making emphasis on the key words

"Every piece?" He asked, eyes wide

Arom'ee then turned around, facing Draco who's height allowed him to look at the pair face to face, and nodded to him as she gripped Elliot's hand. From there, the dragon god looked the young man directly in the eye, his orbs glowing a hellish blood red. It was then, that Elliot felt a strange fatigue wash over him, a tiredness that he couldn't place in words as the pupils in his eyes go wide.

It was when Seikatsu give a flash of light, that he knew no more

(Line break)

Elliot woke up gasping, and a wheezing cough came from his mouth as he raised into a sitting position, a shorter one following soon after. Upon getting his eye focus back, he noticed that his surroundings had undergone a drastic change. Instead of being in Ahtohallen, he found himself on a on a mountain top, overlooking what he believes to be the enchanted forest, which instead of the autumn brown that greeted him and his family, summer green colours covered the miles and miles of trees.

As he looked around though, he noticed that the air around him felt and even smelt different. Cleaner, fresher, and missing a taint of a sort that he couldn't quite name. As if, a poison of a sort was remedied.

Before he could think more on this, he spotted a person he didn't quite recognise at the top of the mountains peak. A woman, with a set of large black feathered wings on her back, skin paler than any other person he had met up to now, and her head topped off by long, silky black hair. But sprouting out of it, was a set of horns that twisted upwards, and curved towards her back. All the while, she wore what resembled torn bits of armour to cover her chest, and a worn short dress covering her lower section towards her bare feet.

Finally, in her hand, was a staff, in the same black as her get up, and a large green orb in hand. One that that had one of her hands swirling around it.

And she seemed to be waiting for someone.

But who?

As if the gods heard his mental question, a strong breeze began to blow. But he recognised the feeling. This wasn't a mountain blow of air he was feeling.

And then, there the cause of the winds came. A large imposing dragon of rich golden scales, four powerful legs with sword like claws on his feet, and a wingspan that would make him seem like a god, the underside of which was a dark, bloody red. He descended from the dark clouds above, and landed much more gently and gracefully than what his size should allow.

To Elliots utter shock, dragon king Rahdunn now stood before him, Arom'ee's mate and the direct decedent of a long line of proud dragon lords of the ancient past. The final king before the forming of the highfells, and one of the proudest in the history of his species.

Elliot's great grandfather.

To his surprise though, he looked as if he didn't even acknowledge his presence, only glaring his sharp violet eyes at the mysterious female that glared back at him. The dragon king raised his head, and emitted a sharp inhale through his nostrils. "The air around you fouls at your presence" He deep, rumbling voice sneered.

Caught off guard was Elliot at his tone, for the air still felt the same. The mystery woman however, let a dark smirk at the insult "Summoning me here just to insult me" Was her chosen response as she looked up to him "And here I thought dragons to be more noble and chivalrous than that" She mocked.

"You and the Northuldra people must abandon any and all of your practices and followings of magic, immediately and forever" Rahdunn told her, folding in his wings and stepping forward until he stood only a few meters away from her "It is humanities only path forward" he said next.

Elliot's first stages of his confusion began to rise at this odd request. How can the Northuldra just stop when they're not magical people by nature, and rather originating from the spirits?

"A path forward for you perhaps, not for any of us" The strange woman said back, losing her smirk as she did while Elliot watched on as uneasiness filled him "You just can't stand the fact that there are other magical creatures aside from you in this world, of how the spirits of the forest are practically symbols of the very elements of nature around them" Her dark grin came back with her next few words "Of how a land of, lesser beings, are guarded by a power that matches you and your species"

Elliot felt his being vibrate and his uneasiness grow as Rahdunn gave a slight angered growl "You are all lesser beings" He ridiculed at her

"Careful, your majesty" She sneered back, as she made her swirling hand pause "That arrogance of yours can only get you so far"

The late dragon king gave a slight scoff as he kneeled down, his voice slight making the air flow as he spoke again "Lay down your staff. And walk away" He ordered.

"My staff?" She asked mockingly, looking at said object as she did, her dark smile unwavering "It's not that simple I'm afraid. The only reason why I'm even speaking to you right now is because of it" She looked back at him "If I were to let it go, my body would dissipate and scatter to the winds, and my soul would fly away" She closed her eyes, and slightly ducked her head downwards "I would cease to exist…"

This caught both dragon descendants by surprise, but more so in Elliot than his ancestor "You would?" He asked, turning his head slight to the side

"Indeed" She replied, not a worry in her voice as she reopened her eyes "I am after all a lesser being. Am I not?" She went on, mocking his statement from before

Anger crossed his features at her tone "How did you come by the staff?" He asked as he began a slow pace around her, only to get no reply which angered him more "HOW?" He roared.

She remained calm composed to his actions, not at all afraid of what he could do to her "I have my ways…" She spoke

Deciding at that moment enough was enough, the dragon king gave a mighty thundering roar at her, ruffling the feathers on her wings and making Elliot cower in fright, fear now him at what may happen next "Great Grandfather!" He called out to him pleadingly, only for his call to fall on deaf ears

"You cannot harm me" The mystery woman then said, a slight hint of bitterness sharpening like a snake's fangs "I was told that your kind keep their promises"

He looked to her with a glare "Yes. No harm will befall you as you stand upon this peak." But then shifted his focus "Far, far away from the city of mount Balderia"

At this, both Elliot and the stranger both turned, looking out in the same direction as the dragon, where there, far in the distance, a second mountain loomed and dominated the landscape. It was also there, that the outlines of a large human settlement sat, small various buildings of thick stones and wood standing, leaving no doubt that many Northuldra people called it home.

And Elliot's eyes widened in dread. 'No…' He thought in his mind as terror filled his heart. This whole time he and many other high fells were taught that it was the people of the forest that betrayed them. Surely this was a misunderstanding. Right?

"You have more back bone than I thought it seems" The stranger spoke in a tone of mild surprise, catching Elliot's attention again as he turned back to their exchange. Just in time to see her swirling her orb with her hand once more "That place is where all of the Northuldra call home. Thousands of defenceless, innocent people" Rahdunn gave a deep menacing growl "Children who haven't even began their walks through life yet!" She quickly added with a slight shout, as more and more dread and fear entered Elliot's heart.

"You will tell them to surrender their magic! Or I will reduce it to ash!" Was Rahdunns threatening bellow, bearing his teeth as he did.

Elliot's heart and beliefs snapped in two.

Tears filled his eyes.

All the while, the stranger gave one last sentence, a malicious smile coming across her face as she pointed her staff up at the dragon "Then what are you waiting for…?" She asked

That was when he saw it. His ancestors' eyes went from purple orbs, to burning hell-like green. A sign that something vile and dark had capitalised on his anger, and took advantage of it.

He then watched, powerless and with horror as Rahdunn gave a mighty flap of his wings and took to the air, racing and soaring to his target. "Hahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAAAA!" Was the cackle of the strange woman.

All the while, Elliot fell to his knees, and watched utterly horrified as the dragon king began a rain of death, and destruction. Fire blast after fire blast rained down on the Northuldran city, and even from where he stood he could feel the terror and hear the screams of innocent people, all being snuffed out by the dozens.

His anguish, however, gave way to rage. He sees now that the people of the forest were blamed for the actions of outside forces one too many times. First Runeard built the dam under the guise of peace, and now this. These people were innocent of all the crimes of the past!

And then, this strange woman that seemed to bask in the carnage. That staff of hers poisoned Rahdunns mind and laid the peace between Northuldra and Dragons to waste! "You son of a bitch!" He shouted, rising to his feet and charged her, his own draconian side rising with a vengeance.

Only to be interrupted by another flash of light!

Once he was charging at the stranger on a mountain top, next moment, he finds with wide eyes that he was now lunging at Arom'ee rather than his original target. "Caesar!" She exclaimed, first dodging his attack, and then catching him by grabbing at his shoulders, stopping him from falling off the pillar they stood on.

Elliot took this time to simmer down his rage, and take several deep breaths as he was slowly eased back onto solid ground, eyes wide with a revelation that turned his whole world upside down "What…?" Was the only thing he could wheeze in that exact moment while his eyes remained wide and unfocused. A soft growl soon was heard, and the traumatised man turned to see Sugi staring at him with worried eyes of her own. "I don't… I don't understand, wha-" He paused in slight hyperventilation as he looked to Arom'ee, shock and terror still ringing through him from what he witnessed "What was that?" He pleaded with her for answers

"A glimpse of a past event that changed everything for the worst" Was her reply, a mournful and painful tone in her words "The peace that lasted for a short but harmonic time, ripped apart by the corruption of my mate" She paused as she took a slight inhale "I was there. I was there when Balderia came under siege. He reduced the city, to a state of which no magic in the entire world could heal it, and the few northuldra that escaped, lost everything. Their homes, their families. It was pure death, just death. I was horrified, and furious for what he did. So much so, that although I loved my mate, I only gave him one chance to turn away from the path he took. He refused, and instead, attacked me." Tears fell down her eyes and her chin wobbled "I killed my mate. And for the thousands of lives he took, I didn't stop, until his own body just… disintegrated, and particles of a hellish green glow took to the clouds. It was then that I knew that something had turned him into some mindless beast. And nothing I could do would save him, and bring him back"

That was when she began to breakdown, and soft sobs could be heard as guilt of her actions and those of her mate poured out of her. Elliot, with tears of his own in that moment, hesitated for only a moment, before he went and slowly wrapped his arms around her, trying to provide what comfort he could give. Only a small sense of relief filled him as she returned the embrace "I'm sorry great grandmother… I'm so sorry" He was sorrier than just for the pain he and her were both feeling in that moment. Sorry for the atrocities of his ancestors' actions against an innocent nation. For what Arendelle had done to them possibly thousands of years later.

And so much more.

As the two shared their sorrow, Draco and Seikatsu kept well back and stayed out of the moment. Sorrow filling them as they watched the scene. But this is what Elliot was brought here for. This is what Arom'ee prayed of them, to give their kind a chance to fix their mistakes, and undo the darkness that had spread across the world because of it.

"This was soon followed by the war of the Northuldra and dragon kind and their subjects" Draco then voiced when the pair calmed down from their crying "The fighting, was bloody, and bonds that were once so strong, was torn in two. Friends, turned against friends. Brother against brother. Lover against lover" He closed his eyes "Even parent and child, struck each other's throats. The negative energy of the war, spread like a disease across the globe, leaving a residue of darkness that lingered like a plague, in all the continents of the earth, in the oceans, even in the skies high above, all of which lives on to this day. Throughout the conflict, one individual relished in it. Like a flower absorbing raindrops"

"In nature, the body dies, but the soul lives on, and when the time comes, ascends to the heavens of their beliefs" Seikatsu took over "But with every death in that horrid conflict, their souls, were absorbed, twisted into the very thing she used to poison the dragon king. And the creature did not stop, going on into the hundreds of thousands of deaths, until she had enough power, to return her to her former self, from a millennia before"

As Elliot took this all in, more and more of his disgust, and abhorrence rose up from inside him "One person was responsible for all of this?"

"A person, no" The Goddess replied, "A creature of darkness, and death, whose power matches that of my brother, who rests in a prison of my making" She carried on grimly as Draco looked to her "Whether or not she has the capabilities of surpassing him. I cannot say"

A power that rivals dino Satan?

How is Elsa meant to fulfil the prophecy that Pabbie warned them about with someone that powerful!?

"Causing the war between the two peoples was not the only evil deed she committed" Draco voiced, causing Elliot to turn to him "For every being that was killed that terrible day, she also gained another source of energy, that helped retore her former state" He then began to slowly pace the room, looking here and there at all of the different memories "Every soul, carries not only their life force. But also, the bearers' happiest times, their lowest points in their walks through life. From the day they are born, to the moment their lives, come to what should be a gentle end."

The young man gave a slight gasp as he realised what Draco meant. And also, what Ahtohallen itself, stands for "Their memories"

"Indeed" He went "And soon, there came a point where she no longer had to feed herself, and as the deaths of the war carried on, she needed somewhere to place the "leftovers." This place, was her creation, built from the deaths of her own victims" He then used one of his hands to make a sweeping motion at the icy walls "And this, was where she placed what was left" And a greyish blue residue wiped it down, like cleaning ink from a board.

In place, was something that made Elliot want to throw up and give him nightmares for the rest of his life.

Instead of a dark blue reflecting wall, now stood a blinding black abyss, and in it, moving around like ghouls, hundreds of thousands of phantoms of people and creatures big and small wailed profusely like banshees. Both Northuldra and highfell in origin, they possessed very little flaking bits of skin, their teeth were bared due to the lack of lips, frail and thin enough to be fatal to a living being, and their eyes were glowing green like wraiths out of hell.

The sight of it nearly forced a scream of terror out of Elliots mouth and his bottom jaw wobbled like mad, never mind with poor Sugi being absolutely horrified with a suitably pathetic roar to go with it, both backing up in absolute fear, and even Elliot tripped and fell over backwards, backing up on his hands and knees.

Alas though, Draco gave another wave of his clawed limb, a hue of light energy covering up the horror show, and the blue icy mirror of the walls stood in their place once again.

Elliot now saw and knew everything.

On the outside, Ahtohallan was a magical, enchanting glacier, whose magic allowed it to hold every last memory of the past, all the while containing a natural and mythical beauty that is unrivalled in its own right. All of which though, was an illusion to hide what it truly was. A place of death, of peoples who had their life force sucked away from their bodies, and then casted aside like trash. Proving that, at its core, the magic river was a sanctum of pure evil.

"Now you know Caesar" Arom'ee stated, bringing her descendants back to his baring "This place, while beautiful to the untrained eye, holds a disease that cannot be stomached. By anyone" she then kneeled down to him, and place her hands on his shoulders. "That is why you were brought here. Your love has already completed the first step. Now it is your turn"

"My turn?"

She nodded "You know as well as I, that your mate's ancestor is the reason for the four remaining spirits anger, Earth, water, fire and air, then for the mist that entrapped the forest and all who live in it" She started "That, as of mere hours ago has been rectified. Now it is come time for you to do the same, to undo the tension, between Northuldran and Dragon kind for all time."

This gave Elliot pause once more, looking down with a troubled mind as Sugi looked to him with concern. That moment from that dreaded vision, and the nightmarish sight that Draco showed him just moments ago, gave him such doubt, such fear. How could he, a young dragon stripped of his true form and power from birth, yet given command of the air itself, and raised with so much scorn, and pain ever hope to undo such reckless evil and death? Here he stood, in the manifestation of that darkness, whose magic allowed it to capture every waking moment of every living thing, and storing it for over thousands of years.

And they just expect him to fix it all just like that?

"What is wrong young one?" Seikatsu voiced with care "Tell us what troubles you" She pleaded gently

He looked up to the phoenix goddess "I wish I had the power to do what you need me to. To make things right after my great grandfather's royal cock up" He started, while adding in some bitterness at the end, before voicing his concern "But how exactly am I meant to do something of that calibre? Why choose me?" He asked in seriousness, looking at his great grandmother again.

Once more she stepped in front of him, and gently cupped his face in her hands with all of the seriousness she could muster "I choose you Caesar. Because you underwent so many forms of pain in your short time on this Earth. I chose you, because you suffered through horrors that would make most men and beasts want to end their lives to make that pain stop. But above all of that, because you somehow, someway found the strength, courage and will power to carry on. And live up to that promise you made to the Arendelle king and queen long ago" She allowed a small smile to grace her face as she moved her hands to hold his own "I don't know how to express just how proud I am of you, for coming as far as you have. That is how I know you can do this" She then took a few steps back, and allowed her descendant to watch in slight wonder as Seikatsu gave another flash of light, dying away as quickly as it appeared. From there, both of them observe a section of the wall fold away, revealing a lightened corridor with downward steps "The answers to your question, lie beyond. And we will guide you, every step of the way"

Back on the mainland, the battle that was originally an ongoing tie, started to become more and more in the enemies' favour. Once more Chomp and Scowler locked horns as Paris came charging in, only for her tail to be bit into by Ravage, making her cry in pain as he bit down hard enough to draw blood. He began a spin as if using dino swing, only to throw her overhead, and slammed her on the ground, hard! He repeated the action again, and again, kicking up dirt and dust each time "Paris!" Zoe cried, terrified at what was being done to her

"Hey! Asshole!" A pissed off Tank screamed, bulldozing towards the albino hybrid as he began to repeat the action a fifth time. Just before she could collide, he relinquished his grip on Paris's tail, and sent her flying into the Saichania, knocking both females into a pile

"Tank!" Rex called out worriedly

"Get away from them!" Terry roared angrily, charging headfirst towards the aggressor with payback on mind. First came an exchange of snaps, before the pale monster started to give vicious claw swipes at the rex's face, thankfully not slashing his eyes, but leaving bleeding scars on contact as he gave pained growls

"Hang in there, Terry!" Max shouted, before swiping a card "Tail smash!"

Terry gave another roar as he glowed red, backing away from his opponents' claws. He then span and bashed his tail against Ravage's face with two powerful blows, before giving another spin for a third smash right across his snout, making him stumble backwards "How 'bout you pick on someone your own size?" He mocked

"Hmph. Very well" The hybrid replied before he quickly bit down onto his neck with a roar

"Wind rider!" Ace called with a roar, infusing himself with wind power before jumping high into the air and arrow dived at Scowler, arching upward with blow after blow

"Not so fast, speed demon!" Was scowlers response after receiving a third hit, glowing yellow and charged a plasma anchor between his horns. He fired the projectile and snared Ace like a bear trap, catching him in mid-air and slammed him down to the ground.

"Unreal, he just countered wind rider with a normal plasma anchor" Max saw with a troubled expression

Before Scowler could re-card Ace again, he suddenly gave a roar in pain as he felt a set of sharp teeth bite into his tail. Turning his head, he saw a Deinosuchus looking him in the eye "Hey, you mind getting off my tail, Toothy?" He demanded, tugging the trapped limb

"Not exactly" He replied, before tossing him over head and slamming him in the ground. Before he could charge up his green blast of energy, the hybrid Triceratops rushed back to his feet, and rammed the super croc, catching him off guard and sending flying into Minx, who was trying to help Chomp to his feet having been defeated earlier, carding her on impact.

"Ah no, Minx is down!" Rex exclaimed in worry as he rushed into retrieve her card

Amongst the battle a sauropod face off was happening, one of Bulldust against Charles and Gertie. Ordinarily the pair of titans were a prominent force to be reckoned with, a duo that even Brontikens and Pyro would be wary off facing head on, a fact alone that made them some of the strongest dinosaurs yet. Charles made a roar as he swung his long tail at the smaller sauropods head like a giant mace, but didn't expect Bulldust to duck underneath, and ramming the Supersaurus like a rhino, the force of the impact being powerful enough to make him stumble and nearly lose his footing "Ahh yeess just I thought" He jeered at the surprised mated pair as he looked up at them "You're big. And you're slow and weak"

"Grr!" Charles replied in anger at the insult

"You two will be easy to defeat now that I know your weakness" He said, looking down "Your legs!" He carried on, before making a beeline straight for Gerties legs with the intent of swiping them out from underneath her, only to look on as she raised upwards on her hind feet "What?" He went, realising his mistake

"I'll show you how weak they are!" She swore, before slamming both feet down on his back. Normally this would be enough to card any, emphasize on any other dinosaur beneath her on contact. "Huh!" But when she saw that her target still standing on his feet, even with straining, trembling legs, she got the surprise of a lifetime. Determined to win, she applied more strength and weight down on her front legs "Not too heavy. Am I?" She asked as she applied even more force

"Nooo, you're-light as a feather!" He strained out "Seven hundred-thousand-pound feather that is!" He muttered to himself indignantly, before he allowed himself to glow purple.

"What's he doing now?" Charles asked in alarm as he moved to help his mate

"I don't know!" She replied in wariness, now putting in all she had

In that moment, somehow, someway the hybrid sauropod managed to raise his front left foot, and stomped the ground beneath, bringing up a dozens of rock shard that formed a dome of purple diamonds. With an Earth barrier suddenly formed, the following blowback packed enough force to bounce the Seismosaurus off of him, and crashed down on her side

"He just deflected Gertie!" Paris cried out as she roused back to their feet

"I'm calling bullshit! Not even Brontikens and Pyro can do that!" The Saichania added

Zoe and the two boys were appalled by this. One of her most powerful move cards, just deflected by earth barrier, which even with said move card should be impossible "They need help! Futaba! Ares!" She called out, only to find no sign of the Mosasaurus and Futabasaurus in question "I don't see them!"

"It's okay" Terry called over, who overheard the pinkette as he made a lunge for Crimson's neck, only to be warded off by another claw strike "I can still smell them!"

That was something another certain hybrid overheard "Then prepare to say goodbye to them and half of your pathetic reinforcements" The black raptor hybrid declared, making a rush for Spiny on all fours and with a primal shriek.

"Oh no you don't salamander!" He boldly replied, glowing blue and allowed a shockwave to surround him "For the fire god Poseidon judges you, guilty!" He declared with a roar as he fired the water tendrils. Only for his target to dodge it with cat-like reflexes "What-the!?"

"You missed" She hissed in bloodlust, pouncing with claws outstretched and teeth bared, ready to tear the Spinosaurus apart.

Only for her to use his body as a springboard as several spike arrows came flying at her, dodging them as she landed on the ground, and leapt out of Tanks way as she slid in like a mad bull, noticing the look of bloodlust in her eyes beforehand "Only I get to hit my mate, and you are not, touching him!" She yelled out with a roar

"Not so fast, sweetheart!" Scowlers voice snapped, turning Tanks attention as he charged in, picked her up in his horns, and literally threw her away from the other pair, landing on her back to make things worse.

"Not again, shit!" She exclaimed in frustration

"Now you're mine!" The hybrid snarled as she leapt once more, aiming for his neck

"Oh shit!" Spiny cried out while hitting the deck, covering his head with his claws as his attacker landed on the other side of him. Just as she was about to charge again, the Cryolophosaurus suddenly skidded in and round house kicked her in the face, sending her flying tail overhead, only to have her land on all fours once more as the beast of Ahtohallan gave a roar

"You'll pay for that!" She swore as lunged at him

"Not hurt too bad I hope, Ripper!" Ravage called over mockingly, having just witnessed his sisters mess up

"You focus on your battle, brother!" She snarled in reply as continued to engage the enchanted cold-created lizard.

"Hang on guys!" Jet called to his allies, diving down with his brothers to reengage in the battle, their target being Crimson who had just knocked Terry to the ground, slicing the albino hybrid with their wings, causing him to step back in discomfort at most "Direct hit, but not enough!"

"Let me try then!" Called another opponent, attracting Crimson's attention in time to see Futaba with a super cannon already charged up and fired at him. The force of the impact was enough to knock him down, but he wasn't out as he quickly got back to his feet "Still not out!"

"Arg, it's no good, nothing we do is working!" Max growled, starting to pant as the battle lasted for so many hours by now

"I know!" Zoe exclaimed, standing next to her boyfriend as they looked on hopelessly

Throughout the entire battle the royal siblings watched with ever increasing worry and dread. Usually, the enemy's dinosaurs were no match for Chomp, Terry and the main dinos of the D-team, yet here they were, getting their asses royally handled by only four mutated lab creations, and no move that was made by the heroes ever laid a scratch on them. Even the arrival of their newest addition didn't seem to make much difference after the initial surprise entry that he made. How could they possibly keep it up, before all of their dinosaurs tire completely, leaving the Northuldra people helpless "Elsa!" Anna started off, before being cut off

"I don't want to hear it! We're not giving up yet, and we won't!" Elsa snapped back harshly, filled only with panic. She couldn't let their mothers home fall into enemy hands!

"Elsa, look at them, their exhausted and their getting slaughtered!" The redhead cried back, gesturing to Terry and the others. The T-rex was still fighting Ravage, but was obviously shaky in the legs, Chomp was trying to help Paris fend off Scowler, with both being pushed backward as their own legs trembled, Ace was struggling to flip Tank right-side up, Spiny was trying stay away from Ripper as she and the Cryolophosaurus had their own battle, and Gertie and Charles were still duking it out with Bulldust, who seemed to show no signs of tiring himself as even Pawpaw tried to help them when he could "We have to do something!"

"Then stay here with Kristoff and Mattias, I'll go help them myself!" She reasoned hurriedly

"Queen Elsa no!" The lieutenant called over to the young queen, who turned her attention to him "The princess is right. If we want to get out of this alive, something has to be done!" He implored with her

"And what exactly do you suggest lieutenant?" She asked rhetorically with a waving arm aghast "I'm open to ideas!"

The poor veteran was unprepared for such an outburst from his queen and took a step back out of fear for pissing her off even more "Leave, him, alone!" Yelana suddenly snapped at the ninth spirit, surprising both parties in the process as she even went as far to stand in front of him protectively "Listen. You want to save our home, your mother's home. Any other situation I would give my life to protect it as my ancestors have before me, especially considering that this is my fault. But there's more to our land than just our forest" She started firmly, gesturing to the rest of her people, who all by now had teary eyes, either out of losing loved ones, or fear and terror at the battle before them "What do you think she would want you to do? Or more for that matter, what would he, want?" She asked

'Elliot' She realised, Yelana was right. On one hand, she could continue to fight, stay here and fight shoulder to shoulder with the D-team until they all fall. But on the other, her mother's old people would be caught in the crossfire, and should they fail, nothing would stop them from being wiped from the face of the earth, once and for all. Breathing heavily, she looked down at her midsection, knowing there was another little something to think about.

Or rather, a very precious someone to protect, with all of her life at that to boot.

She looked to the three kids in still battling, catching their attention by the feeling of the cold air around, made so by her emotions. They turned towards her, and from there a silent suggestion passed through her eyes to theirs, carrying the hushed suggestion without even saying anything

They all nodded to her.

"They would want us to live on, and save as many of them as we can" She said, knowing it to be true. It was time to retreat, and when safe, come back and bury their dead, after counter attacking that is. "But, what about the spirits that live here? What will happen to them?" She asked as she turned to the elder again

"And the moon maws?" Ana added in worriedly, being filled in on the name of the mystic wolves as the battle continued

"They'll live on" Honeymaren voiced as she walked over to them "The magic within them will allow them to hide in the forest so that they'll never be found or bothered" She said confidently, turning to the enemy on the other side of the no man's land "To them, it'll just be like any other forest"

"You're positive?" Anna asked worriedly

"I'm certain of it. Trust me, our leaving will help them far better than staying here" The raven-haired woman replied

The two sisters looked to each other, briefly communicating with their eyes alone and sharing their worries, before ethe ninth spirit turned back to Yelana "Where do we go from here then?"

"According to the ancient texts, it is said that on the far side of the forest outskirts is a pass, that leads away from here. It navigates a series of caverns deep underground, and spits out in the mountains southeast" She explained as she gestured to Ryder and Honeymaren to help Anna onto Svens back as Kristoff leant support "I've never seen it myself, but many of the elders of our past claim it to be very real. If so, it is our only chance"

"A pass into the mountains southeast, through a cave system" Rex labelled down mentally as he said so to himself "Jet, fly higher above the battle, see if you can find the entrance to the pass" He called up the Pteranodon leader.

"I'm on it" He replied, breaking away as his brothers continued to provide support. He flew high enough to see the entire forest, the remnants of the dam, and the expanse of the dark sea beyond as he scoured the landscape, trying to find the entry to the escape route in question in quick timing, the faster the better. After what felt like agonising hours, when really it was only a minute, he believed he struck gold as he turned eastward of the battle, where the flat terrain of the plains broke apart and dipped into a deep gorge "Think I found it!" He called out as he flew back down, landing in front of the dinosaur king "But we'll need to move quickly before the enemy gets wise to what we're up to" He said

"Then get back in the air, and act as a beacon" Rex ordered, with Jet giving a nod as he took off once more "Max, Zoe, I need you two to help get our dinosaurs ready to go once the forest people make a run for the escape route" He told the couple

"You got it Rex. Chomp, Terry, Pawpaw!" Max called out to the battle, catching the attention of the three as they continued to fight "We got a plan to get the Northuldra to safety, and I need you three on vanguard duty" He announced

"You got it buddy!" Chomp called back as Terry bashed his head against Crimson's chest, nearly toppling him to the ground and Pawpaw nodding in reply

"Paris and Spiny, I need you and the others too!" Zoe called out to her dinosaurs "You two have to lead the way while everyone else supports Chomp and Terry in keeping them safe"

"Spiny Powers attack!" Her Spinosaurus called out, rushing away from the battle in front of him once and for all

"You won't escape me!" Ripper swore angrily as he ran off, unable to give chase as the Cryolophosaurus still kept her occupied. Frankly the only dinosaur on the D-teams side that showed no fatigue

"I hear you, Zoe! But-" Paris called out to her, yet torn. She couldn't leave Chomp to fight Scowler alone, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Thankfully he wouldn't have to, since in that moment Ares leapt from a pool of water, with his mouth agape and with a massive roar, just like before which forced Scowler to retreat, lest he be chomped up like a piece of meat, and allowed the mated pair to get to their positions as the Mosasaurus dived down once more "Sweet Seikatsu! Thanks, big guy!" Chomp said before the mated pair ran to their positions, Terry and Pawpaw right behind them

"Ace, Tank!" Rex shouted over, as the Carnotaurus finally managed to flip the Saichania back up "You're needed on interference work!" He ordered simply

"Understood! /Let's go!" They replied as the pair ran over to their positions.

All of these actions, however, didn't go unnoticed "What do you think they're up to?" Gigas asked, either to himself or his teammates, who knows, at seeing the actions their opponents were making.

"Not sure, but if they're looking to escape, they're gonna have a hard time" Maximus replied smugly "We practically have them pinned" She added

Overhearing their conversation, Maleficent had another thought. 'Not entirely' She thought to herself. Determining to see if her hypothesis were correct, she prompted her raven to take flight, before allowing herself to be coated in her signature flames, vanishing as they die away as quickly as they came.

"Now where is she going?" Ursula asked, having watched the scene along with the rest of the alpha gang

"Who cares!" Dr.Z exclaimed "This strategy of hers made no sense from the get-go, so now we're doing this our way!" He ranted before swiping her alpha scanner right out of her hands "And I am in the mood of ridding our greatest enemy" He commented darkly, as he glared ahead, staring at Rex on the other side of the field "We've had to live under his little charade of a kingdom, now it's turn! Go Spectral Destroy!" He swiped the card

Brontikens allowed himself to glow brightly as the familiar laser formed on his back. Unaware that a certain other sauropod, watched him do so, hiding her feelings about what he was about to do.

The Dinosaur King noticed the light out of the corner of his eye, and upon realising what the target was, he completely froze with a look of dread and horror on his face.

The Apatosaurus fired his weapon

"NO!/REX WATCH OUT!" His friends called in panic

Before the beam could even graze him, a great wall of purple fire sprouted out of the ground before him, blocking the super laser from reaching its target "WHOA!" Rex shouted in shock, not expecting the save.

"AHHH!" The alpha gang added in, also surprised by the scene.

"Rex, come on, let's go!" Max urged, grabbing rex by the shoulders and rushing the both of them back to the crowd "Now, make for the entry!" He called out to them

"You heard him everyone, follow them out of here now!" Yelana ordered her people, who were now all gathered and mounted on whatever reindeer they could grab, ready to dash for the pass

"This way everyone!" Paris called out, before she and spiny started leading the Northuldra to safety, with the Arendelle away team not far behind.

"They're running! Stop them!" Dr. Z ordered his minions

"Yes sir!" The trio replied as they each took out a move card

Sykes who was nearby, suddenly scared them out of their wits with a scream by whipping out one of his guns and shot the ground near their feet, all without even looking "Hold it there, old man" He said placatingly

"Are you blind!? They're trying to get away!" Was the Dr's frustrated reply once he got over his shock

"Just calm down" Sykes replied in a dull tone "You think the missus didn't take this into account? By this point we can just kickback and enjoy the carnage" He carried on, looking on ahead at the fleeing army with a dark look, something that was mirrored by Hans and Gothel

Back with the heroes, Max and his friends were now spearheading the Northuldras retreat, with Paris right behind them, Yelana and Elsa at their side, Gertie and Charles at the back of the crowd, and the rest of their dinosaurs keeping to the flanks. Up above, Jet and his brothers were pretty much leading the way "Keep going people, you can make it! You're halfway there!" The lead Pteranodon called down

All the while, within the gathering, Kristoff rode Sven and grasped onto Anna tightly as they trotted alongside many other reindeer riders, the wary princess looking over his shoulder to see something, out of place "Wait, why aren't they following us?" She asked confusingly, pointing to them as she did over her beloved's shoulder

"We can't worry about that right now Anna" Kristoff said to her "We're almost at the pass now"

Just as the entry to the pass came into view, a familiar green fire sprouted from the ground ahead of the pack, bringing forth a mixture of fright from the forest people, and a sudden burst of desperation from Elsa and the D-team, causing their main dinos to rush to the front once they saw a familiar creature emerge from the inferno

Oh, Kristoff you just had to jinx it, didn't you? "Leaving so soon?" She asked them all with an evil smile on her face

"Get out of our way!" Terry snarled at her once he reached the front of the frightened crowd

Maleficent pays the threat no mind, shifting her attention to Elsa, who only responds with a deathly glare "You wish to save the people that betray you?" She asked "Who knew you could be such a naïve little child deep down?"

Elsa's scowl deepened at that, her powers charging up for a fight, until the d-team put themselves in front of her "Don't do something you'll regret lady, you're totally outnumbered!" Max snapped back, feeling bold as he grabbed a move card

"Now step out of our way right now, before you make us mad!" Zoe backed up, holding a grass move card in her fingers

"Oh my, we don't want that now do we?" Maleficent replied to her threat, holding a free hand in front of her lips to hold in a mocking chuckle as her raven landed on the orb of her staff. "I think you and I got off on the wrong foot, as the saying goes. All I wanted was the young Arendelle queen, I never had any intention of harming you all" She commented, encouraging her pet onto her fingers and placed him on her left most shoulder "Tell you what, my friends. Prove your mettle against me, and I will go should you defeat me" She said with a smirk, opening her arms and slightly flailing her robes.

The three kids had their eyes widened in surprise at what she said. Surely she wasn't being serious, was she? They looked to each other with questions in their heads, all the while Elsa looking to her with a troubling frown 'I'm the one you want, aren't I? Why are you so interested in the D-team'? She mentally spoke in her head.

The dinosaurs however, had a completely different thought train "You're cocky" Tank commented, swinging her tail in the air dangerously

"You sure you wanna do that, lady?" Chomp backed up, lowering his head in a charging position

Maleficent only raised an eyebrow to their words, the look on her face not changing a bit "Okay then, but remember you asked for this!" Max told her

"Leave it me and Paris you guys" Zoe told them, bringing out a grass move card "Emerald Garden!"

Paris glowed green as she charged up the familiar swirling green orb in her mouth, before firing it straight at maleficent, the ball crashing down in front of her feet, and surrounding her with energy sapping plants, the effects working hard. However, instead of her power being drained as per usual, the witch kneeled down, and plucked a purple rose from the ground, holding it in front of her face, with no negative effect on her powers what so ever "A garden of flowers? Hm hm hm, oh my I see I've found quite the flatterers" She commented with a dark fondness

"What the-!?" Paris gasped, not expecting one of her most powerful moves to have no effect on a non-dinosaur target.

"Nothing!?" Zoe added on

"I got your backs, Zoe!" Max stepped in for his girlfriend "Thunder Bazooka!" He called out as he slashed his chosen card

Chomp gave a charge, and then leapt and span as he coated himself in lightning. As he closed in further and further, his target sniffed the flower in her hand, and felt her nose twitch, trying to quench it by rubbing her nose. Just as Chomp was about to strike her, she sneezed.

And sent the triceratops flying back after evaporating his ability! Crashing to the ground in front of Terry soon after!

The entire D-team gasped, appalled by what they just saw "She… she just…" Ace couldn't even finish his words

"She just stopped Chomp dead, by sneezing!?" Max nearly yelled in shock

"How can that even work!?" Tank on, slamming her tail on the ground in frustration

"Ohh, excuse me" Was what Maleficent said next after recomposing herself, dropping the flower as she did "Surely you can do better after what I've seen you accomplish so far" She commented next

"Alright bitch, you can try me next!" Terry growled at her, slamming his tail on the ground as Max brought out another move

"Terry, no!" Ace exclaimed as he dashed in front of him "It's clear at this point that single attacks won't do anything!" He then looked over at her "As impossible as it seems" He muttered

"Ace is right you guys, we need to work together" Rex told Max and Zoe, agreeing with his partner

"Yeah but which moves?" Max went

But their target, was not exactly done yet, an evil chuckle leaving her as she pointed her staff at ace and made the orb atop of it glow sickly. The Carnotaurus found himself picked up by an invisible force, much to his and everyone elses shock, then sucked in towards her, before throwing her staff again, a dark streak of lightning striking him mid-air with a crack of thunder causing him to scream in agony as his own flesh began to burn "ACE!" Rex cried out as his partner continued to be tortured, horrified along with all those who would witness it

"Get in there and save Ace, Pawpaw!" Max called out

"Give 'em a hand, Ares!" Zoe ordered

Upon the desperate calls of their summoners, the Pawpawsaurus struck first, rushing past the front of the crowd and immediately jumped up and rammed Ace out of the blast, though ending up getting caught in Maleficent's attack, just as it reached it's climax as well as even he began to screech in pain "Oh no, Pawpaw!" Max called out painfully, before rapidly calling him back

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Maleficent cackled, amused by her actions. Suddenly though, Ares leapt up from a pool of water behind her, arching downward with a roar and open jaws as if preparing to swallow her whole. The witch however, after getting over her mild surprise, swung her staff around, and casted a spell that lit the Mosasaurus's mouth a flame, causing him to close his mouth painfully and crash on the ground with a boom.

"No, Ares!" Zoe screamed

"Quick Terry, volcano burst!" Max ordered, swiping the card as fast as he could

Terry roared and allowed his eyes to light up in flames, swinging his flaming mouth about before sending along the ground towards the witch. Maleficent knew that this was merely to distract her from finishing the injured Mosasaurus, yet decided to humour the attempt anyway, evaporating the flames with a wave of her hand before they even reached her

"Come back!" Zoe called, returning Ares to his card before the enemy could do anything, the pinkette now holding it in her hands shakily.

"Elements of life shall be your tomb…" Maleficent spoke aloud, catching the attention of the D-team as she raised her staff, and began to swirl it around as her orb glowed a sickly green, forming a cloud of dark energy and streaks of light "Fall through the sky on a cloud of doom!" She continued, multicoloured whisps now twirling above her as the plants from Paris's emerald garden began to decay and die at her feet "Now go as my curse, and serve me well!" She thrusted her staff forward, throwing her spell outwards, a from it came a dark unnatural cloud that swirled above the D-teams assistant dinosaurs "'round the protectors of the Northuldra, cast thy spell!" She chanted at last.

As those words left her lips, several strikes of lightning struck the ground around her targets, the Northuldra screaming in terror and fright. And from the mass of dark magic above, a tornado made entirely of green flames struck the ground, making all recoil back in utter terror. As the unnatural flaming disaster continued to strike the ground, lightning from the clouds above began to attack once more, this time attacking particular targets per Maleficents command

One bolt stuck the biggest of the D-team first, causing both Sauropods to roar painfully as they collapsed to the ground and return to their cards, followed closely by Jet and the other Pteranodons, then finished with Dutch, Futaba and the Opthalmosaurs as her lightning struck the waters they swam, making them rise to the surface as return to card form, before the darkness and green fire tornado disappeared.

Her show of power frightened and terrified the away team and the Northuldra to no end, for just in one blow all of their reinforcements were taken out of the fight, and majorly wounded "Seriously!?" Max went incredulously

"All our reinforcements are down!" Rex added

"NO!" Zoe cried as she went to retrieve al of their cards before the boys could stop

"Zoe, get back here, right now!" Terry roared to her

"It's way too dangerous!" Paris called out, dashing in front of her and blocked the pinkette with her body

"I can't leave them there!" Zoe begged.

'This is the kind of power she has…' Elsa thought horrifyingly in her mind. Not in her whole life had she ever seen any kind of being with the power she just witnessed, putting down more dinosaurs than she could count with just one cast of her dark magic.

Now they all looked to her with various levels of fear, any hope of winning or escaping now dwindling, if not dead already

What were they going to do now?

DK

Elliot and Sugi both walked down the deep caverns from the chamber they stood in, with Arom'ee in her human form leading the way with a light floating in front of her via the open palm of her hand, curtesy of Seikatsu. Their footsteps each echoed in through the dark as they traversed more and more to their next destination "You sure about this, great grandmorther?" He couldn't help but ask unsurely

"What is there to be unsure about Caesar?" Arom'ee replied with utmost confidence "I did tell you that your answers lie ahead through this tunnel."

"True." He said in his own reply "It's just…" He gave a sigh

The late dragon queen turned to Elliot with an understanding look in her eyes, all the while carrying on walking "The souls that are trapped here… they are a plague on your mind"

He lowered his eyes "All of that wailing… the very sight alone. And I'm expected to help them, how?" He asked her with worry and sorrow in his tone

She gave a small reassuring smile "To learn to run, is to learn walk first Caesar. Just as it is to understand, before committing to any taken action" She said to him, before turning again.

Both living mortals looked to each other, confusion in their eyes at her small riddle.

Eventually though, the three came upon a pitch-black expanse, with the only source of light being the orb of light that Seikatsu gave them. The spiritual dragoness motioned for Elliot to stop, before chucking the light in her hand into the air.

The bulb expanded, and then popped like a balloon, now illuminating the whole room a low sunset coloured hue, and the first thing that Elliot noticed, were four huge diamonds on the other side of the large chamber they all stood in. All lined up, side by side in a row, with each sporting a symbol not like the ones he saw before. Slowly he walked forward until he merely stood beside his great grandmother, just staring them down.

Arom'ee turned to Elliot knowingly "Your eyes do not deceive you" She told him simply

The young man looked to her, then back again, all without hiding the realisation and shock on his face. He walked forwards even more, closer toward the crystals, until he could make out the symbols. He looked to the further one on the left "Thunder" Then looked to the one on its right "Light" Then the next "Darkness" and finally to the last one "Plant life" He finished, familiarising with the symbols and what they represent. He turned back "These are not-"

"They are, Caesar" Arom'ee said, sorrow colouring her voice "And have been trapped here, for many a century" She said as she too looked to the crystals

Shock covered his eyes again, with a small gasp leaving his lungs as he turned back, confusion, wonder and such emotions covering his mind. "How did-?"

Before he could finish, a flash of light alerted them both to the entry of Draco and Seikatsu once more, the flash dying a fast as it came "During the war between dragon kind and the Northuldra, the creature that made it so had their minds corrupted with malice and grief. But not all of its inhabitants were affected" The former first stated "Among them, were few who found out the real cause of this strife. But by the time they challenged her, she was already too powerful to be stopped" He explained

That was when Seikatsu took her turn "Of the few to know the truth, these four of the eight spirits of the forest were the first to oppose her. In her fear, she took the power she gained from the souls of the forest, and to her near death, she used it to cast them here." The phoenix of light looked to the crystal prisons "She knew that if these four alone could know the truth so quickly, it would not be long for the rest to learn it as well. So, she hid the truth, before anyone else could see it"

Arom'ee then took her own cue "I was also one of the few to know the truth, and after what had become of my mate I lusted for revenge. But what I did not foresee, was that the creatures' words slithered like a snake into the ears of the furious Northuldra, their anger blinding them to what was there" She looked down sorrowfully "I was slain. And any hope of preserving the peace, was lost to us all. Until now" She said

Elliot gave a short breath of shock as he turned back to the shards. These were not mere art creations, but actual living spirits, trapped here for over thousands of years. As his shock gaze looked them all over, he then noticed something most peculiar.

Standing in between the crystals of light and Darkness, were two other shards that matched the rest in appearance, but what caught him out was that they here human sized, about six feet tall at the most. Curiosity over taking him, he stepped forward to investigate them, and as he came close to them, a two faces showed themselves inside the magic prisons. Faces that made his heart stop as a gasp filled the chamber.

Upon realising said faces and knowing who they belonged to, Elliot ran the rest of the way, placing his hands on each of them, hyperventilating, hoping and praying that the two people within were still- "Caesar" Arom'ee voice snapped to him, grasping his shoulders only for him to rip her hands off, turning to her
"IS THIS SOME SICK JOKE YOU HIGH AND MIGHTY SONS OF A BITCH!?" He pretty much roared at them all, not giving a shit just who he was yelling at, his eyes going goldenrod furiously as he glared at them all "THIS IS NOT THE TIME OR FUCKING PLACE TO MESS WITH MY HEAD!"

Draco intervened before he lost control of himself "A joking matter this is not, hatchling!" He lectured him, his voice being amplified in a way that made his voice ring out in multiples and echoed deeply around the whole of Ahtohallen, the volume and tone of which immediately cleansing Elliot of his rage, taking a step back fearful of the god of dragons. At this reaction he lowered his voice back to normal and allowed his powers to die away "We can all assure you that this is very real. That they are here, their lives preserved within their chains, and safe from all causes of harm and decay. Even from the ravages of time" He told him reassuringly.

Elliot turned back to the ice shard cells that contained who he saw, a million questions going through his mind, too many to narrow down to just a few. All he could do, was take deep breaths in an effort to calm down "I was the course of their ship sinking… how?" He pleaded to them full of emotion

"Your storm is what caused their ship to be sunk, that is true" Seikatsu began with her explanation, not at all effected from his outburst from before "But the incident was done out of spite from those who forced you to commit the deed, and the action alone on your part was in no way to be blamed on you. As such, the spirits of the oceans came together, their magic coursing through the tides. Together, they formed a barrier around them, and allowed the currents to bring them here" She finished "I used some of my power to allow them to be safe here, Dracos own life force keeping them healthy. They have watched all that transpired through dreams and visions, and have been resting here ever since, waiting for the moment of their freedom. That chance for them, has finally arrived, with you"

He just stood there, taking in her words and explanation, yet more questions seem to pop up more than answers. They weren't dead… that scene he saw in the tidal wave was not a lie. And have been here for so many years, away from their people. Their daughters. All truly not knowing what had happened to them, and now rest here alongside the dormant spirits, waiting for him, to redeem both himself, and his entire species for their sins of the past. Elliot took an inhale of breath, before turning back to his ancestor and the godly pair "What do I need to do?" He asked them

Arom'ee allowed a smile to cross her face "First, you need to prepare yourself for the conflict ahead, and a conduit for which you can undo the evil that was wrought here. But you must first understand something else" She told him as her smile died away

"What would that be?" He asked

Arom'ee looked down mournfully "The current head of the Northuldra, has had her mind corrupted with fear. This fear has made her act on decisions she wouldn't make herself. Such as giving up your friends and loved ones to their enemies"

His heart filled with shock once more "What?" He hissed

"Remember what you saw though Caesar" She said to him firmly "After what happened so many years ago, old wounds can be quick to be reopened. Promise me, you will not give her reason to truly be set on this path"

He looked away at first, confliction running through his mind first, before reminding himself what he saw much earlier, and what Rahduun did "I… I promise" He said to her

Her smile became reborn "Then you, are ready" She said, before looking to Draco with a slight nod.

In response to this hidden request, the dragon god raised his front claws, all seven of fingers of each hand. He swerved them from side to side, a golden sort of mist flowing from the tips that flowed on its own current in front of him, forming various shapes and sizes as it danced. Eventually it got up to a point that Draco had the mist split itself, before clenching his claws into fists, the mystical orbs fog solidifying themselves into two objects in a flash of orange light.

The first was a sword, one that carried no hand guard like normal swords, and instead possessed a very intricate pattern of lines that angled upward from the base of the blade, which in itself seemed to hum with a unique sort of dragon magic, evidence from having a lime green hue on the sides of it, while the sharp edges had a bright red that gave a low glow. The second item that formed next to it, was a spear, that was a bright bronze all over, with a silver stitching on the neck and the outer edges of the actual spear point, and carried that same magic humming as the sword did

The god of dragons first had the sword float down towards Arom'ee, who took in her hands and cradled it like a small child "It's time old friend…" She said to it, and suddenly out of no where the blade lifted itself straight from her hands, and began to float around an utterly slack jawed Elliot, the man following it wherever it went. "Aangra" He turned to her at that name "That is her name. Aangra." She told him, a small bittersweet smile on her face "A dear friend of mine, for many a century, and saved my life dozens of times"

He gasped in shock, now knowing what he was looking at from brief depictions in the highfell archives "Your sentient sword…" He said softly with a tone to match, reaching out to stroke a finger down it's blade, the blade responding to the sensation with a little whispering laugh that came out like melodic whistling as she did a short dance around him. He then however, looked back to his ancestor unsurely "But… I can't take her. She belongs to you" He said.

Her smile remained "She did…" She replied "But she and I came to a firm agreement just before I my body died, and now she will guide and protect you, until she is shattered" She told him fondly, looking back to the living weapon soon after "Such is the oath promised by all of the ancient blades"

Draco then kneeled down, the spear still a float in his hand as he stared Elliot in the eye "Caesar. Do you know what this is?" He asked Elliot

The man in question gazed at the mythical looking weapon, wonder in his eyes before turning back "Only by glimpses in the library in my father's mountain but… not really"

"This is the spear Srepnaa'r, named after the dragon who wielded it" He said to him firmly "He used this and the magic within it in Seikatsu's war with Ke-pa and his hordes of demons, and now you will use it to break the strife between the Northuldra and Dragon kind" He said, before lowering presenting it for Elliot to take it. What Elliot didn't expect however when he reached to hold it, it suddenly morphed itself into a ring, widening his eyes in surprise. Carefully and with encouragement from Draco, he took the ring, and delicately slipped it onto the forth finger on his left hand, gazing at it briefly, before he focused his mind. Within a second the spear remerged in his hand as his eyes widened again.

That was when his vision took him elsewhere. What he saw next, were glimpses of conflict and battle, dragons in both human and draconic form numbering in the near hundreds, holding fast against creatures of darkness and death, one spot in particular had a scene with Draco pressing his forehead to a dragon not too different from him, one that held a familiarity to him that could only be described for one reason alone.

His vision returned to normal "My earliest dragon ancestor after you was your own son" He said, shock and honour colouring his words

Draco gave a nod "He would be honoured that you would carry on his legacy" He said to him

Elliot gave a slight smile before Sugi came up and nuzzled him, an action he returned by giving her a firm scratch to her flank.

Seikatsu took her turn once more "It is time, young one" She told him

Elliot looked up to the dinosaur goddess, and gave an understanding nod as he mentally prepared himself for what is to be done, walking up to stand before her "Kneel down, and place your hands on the floor" She ordered him, the young man following his actions "Feel deep into the glacier. Feel for the pain of those who souls are trapped and tortured here. Empty your mind and feel these, as well as their memories, both good and bad. Feel for yourself and those you love, and remember, what ever you feel as you focus. Do not fight for a single moment. Let it flow" She instructed

Upon Seikatsus instruction, Elliot closed his eyes and emptied his mind, following her words to the letter. At first, all the young man could deal was the cold around him, which at this point was of an evil feeling, a chill that ran down to his bones. As he began to focus his thought, the echoes of screams began to make themselves known, his own, other peoples and creatures, he could not tell. All he did know, was that what he saw that caused those scream made him want to snap out of this trance he found himself in, his face morphing to match the pain and terror that seemed to reflect on those souls that were effected.

But after a while, the feeling stops, and the screams drift away, now soft laughing being heard around and from within him, calming him as he took deep breaths. He began to see it, see what is was like in those days' past. The harmony, the peace, the prosperity. It was, beautiful. All manner of creatures big and small living among each other with nary a complaint. Then, heard Elsa his own voice, from which they were much younger, a smile coming upon his face as he the memories wash down him like a waterfall.

Unknown to him while he still kept his eyes shut, Arom'ee, the two gods and Sugi all looked up to see luminescent blue tendrils descend from above, the latter looking in wander as they curled downwards like snakes.

Soon Elliot opened his eyes once the light reached him, looking around him with a smile on his face

"Come with me, I'll take you now~"

(He grasped Aangra in his hand and made Srepnaa'r disappear, and dashes to the side, just as the blue mass crashes to the floor and forming a pool of enchanted water, leaving a pillar of light as it continued to rain down)

"To a place, that you fear~"

(Elliot's voice is heard on the wind, causing Elsa to widen her eyes in shock as she turns to the direction of the dark sea, seeing storm clouds far out in the distance as lightning flashed and thunder rumbled)

"For no reason why, your heart has turned, away from me, and I will make you…"

(Tentatively, he steps into the pool, the water flooding his boots.)

"Understand…"

(Slowly he steps towards the centre, where the water preceded from. He paced around it, an ethereal smile on his face as he noticed his new sword glowed an enchanted red along the blade's edges. He looked to it and back, took a gamble, and swung the blade at the pillar)

(The clash resulted in the water expiring, and a mass of orange light to burst forth. From it, came the souls that were trapped within)

"Everything had become clear to me, once I saw things through, another's eyes!"

(A wonder filled Sugi walked over to him, and the pair both watched with pure elation as all manner of creatures big and small flew and swirled around the chamber)

"Everything has become clear to me, whatever's meant for me, I will find~!"

(Arom'ees sword flew out of his hands, and promptly made a cross against the shortest two of the crystal prisons)

"Come with me, I'll take you there~ To a place, where I see~!"

(The human sized ice traps glowed a blinding light, before evaporating and allowing their captives to fall to the floor, gasping mightily. It took Elliot everything he had to not break down at just who now stood before him, tears rapidly filling his eyes)

"Everything I need, to be the one, I have to be! And all of those things…"

(The pair looked to him, and their eyes widened in recognition. One of which rising to her feet and tackling the young man in a hug that was instantly returned, the second figure joining in soon after)

"That I Feeeeaaaarr!"

(Suddenly, Arom'ee in her dragon form, and more ghostly to match the souls flying around the chamber, grasped his shoulders and lifted him high into the air as Sugi looked on in wonder, Draco and Seikatsu doing the same)

"Will disappear…

(The spiritual dragoness suddenly evaporated in a bright shining light, the essence of her soul now swirling around him)

"From view… In tiiiiiiiiiime!"

(His eyes closed and his body span in the air, his ruined outfit taking a radical transformation, becoming golden in colour. His eyes open, revealing their draconic state, yet holding none of the rage that usually made itself known within. Soon he began to lower to the ground, a bright hue of his ancestor's spirit glowing off of his body, as his own voice resonated through the chamber)

"Everything had become clear to me, once I saw things through, another's eyes!"

(His feet touch the ground, now wearing leather sandals as opposed to his now shredded boots)

"Everything has become clear to me, whatever's meant for me, I will find~!"

He clutches Aangra and Srepnaa'r in his hands, and stabs the sword and spear deep into the floor, letting the dragon magic within spread across the entire chamber. The result were the four diamond prisons containing the trapped spirits glow as bright as the sun, two of which letting out great roars.

The mystic jails shattered themselves.

And from the outside, Ahtohallen pretty much went supernova in a bright flash

DK

From the mainland, Elsa and company saw what could only be described as a huge tsunami of light. The top of the wave scattering the storm clouds that gathered above the dark sea, and spreads outward, just like the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs millions of years ago.

And it was coming straight at them! "Watch out!" Max pretty much yells

"Hit the deck!" Chomp screamed, doing said action as everyone else followed suit, the dinosaurs making sure to take the brunt of the blast wave. The light passes over them. But it doesn't stop there.

Like the KT event that wiped out the dinosaurs, the wave of light spread across the entire world, causing a cascade of events. The river themes in London began to fill once more, tilting the Belfast back in place as water levels rise, the avalanche in Val Thorens clears away, and all sources electricity, fresh water and fires in every corner on Earth is restored.

Back at the enchanted forest, the entire battle had pretty much undergone a pause, as both sides took in a moment to recover from what just happened. In Maleficents case, her whole being resonated and rippled on the inside of her. Something had happened. Something unforeseen, unplanned… and bad.

In the heroes case, everyone had pretty much felt the wave of energy come to an end, and slowly they all began to rise up once more, noticing clouds of dust now filled the area. But one thing that caught their attention, were the mystic particles of light that dots here and there. "What was that?" Max asked looking around in wonder

"I… I don't know" Rex answered truthfully

"If I had to guess, forces of evil trying to remind us to be good for Christmas this year" Spiny said as the dinosaurs followed the actions of the people

"Not the time for jokes, babe" Tank told her boyfriend, giving him a whack on the leg

Ignoring the pair, Elsa was the next to rise back to her feet, watching the air around her in fascination. It was then she noticed something about the air itself. It felt different. Smelt different. Cleaner, purer. Like a sickness that had just been cured "Does anyone feel that?" She asked everyone around her "The air" She quickly clarified

All those around her took in her question, the dinosaurs in particular even going as far as sniffing it. And her question carried great merit "We do" Terry replied to her

Anna then noticed something else entirely "Hey, does anyone see that up there?" She said aloud, casting everyone's attention upwards.

Up above they saw dark clouds gathering, yet underneath them, blinding colours of light "Hey, is that-?"

"The northern lights" Paris cut off her mate, their feelings of shock and surprise running as high as each other.

"But auroras don't appear in broad daylight, not like that" Ace said, also not believing what they were seeing

They watched as the lights flowed about in the air for moments on end, before watching as it began to seemingly close in on themselves, condensing itself tightly, further and further in until it formed a white ball of light. That was when it did something very much unexpected. Without warning it shot a trio of multicoloured beams at the D-kids, causing them all to cry out in surprise as it struck their chests, much to the shock of everyone else. This carried on for a few moments, before they ceased, and from there, the ball of light split itself into six orbs and descended towards the ground, colours of which, matched that of the D-teams stones.

Soon the orbs reached the ground, more specifically, the three kids in question. A red and yellow orb hovering in front of Max, a white and purple pair for Rex, and a green and blue orb before Zoe.

The orbs expelled themselves in a flash, and from them, three pairs of familiar shapes brought a newfound combination of surprise and amazement "Whoa, look at this! New move cards!" Was Max's reaction

"And powerful ones too at that!" Zoe added for her boyfriend, a new-found hope going through her

"So, what are we waiting for then? Let's turn this fight around!" Rex stated in determination, first swiping one of his new moves "Tornado mirage!" He called out

Ace gave a taunting roar at the enemy dinosaurs, after making his way around the back of the Northuldra crowd that is, prompting Scowler to charge at him. Upon reaching the Carnotaurus however, he didn't expect a tornado to suddenly form around him, and literally teleport him to a different position all together as he appeared in a second one, both going away as fast as they appeared "Hey, I'm over here!" Ace called over to the bewildered hybrid, giving another charge as he did, only for the twisters to repeat the same action as before "Missed, try again!" He taunted, just before charging in and kicked the hybrid away.

"Let's go, Paris!" Zoe called to one of her partners as she slashed one of her own moves next "Jungle Enforcer!" She announced as she swiped it

Paris gave a roar, rearing up on her back legs and slamming her front on the ground. From there, a small force of the most unexpected creature appeared on either side of her. Six sentient trees rose up from the ground, their branches thick with green leaves, slowly crawling their way forward by using their own roots, one of which giving a low groan as it took two of its own and then made them expend and charge through the ground, kicking up mounds of earth. They stretched on towards the original line of villains, before sprouting upwards and whipping away a line of orcs, much to the shock of the enemy.

Such a sight started to change the terror of the northuldra people, now feeling great confidence instead of fear like before, some of which even going as far as cheering.

"What is this, is the forest coming alive or something!?"" Ursula basically shouted, seeing the new shocking abilities their enemy possesses.

"They're actually starting to counterattack!" Zander exclaimed

"There's no way!" Ed added in

"Well don't just stand there, you ninnies, fight back!" Dr Z yelled at them angrily. There was no way he was giving up when their demise was so close

The tallest of the alpha gang swiped a card "Use Spectral Stinger Armatus, now!" He ordered

The stegosaurus shrouded himself in a purple mist, giving away to a bunch of large crystals on his back, before launching them straight down at Paris

"Incoming!" Zoe exclaimed as her boyfriend ran up next to her

"Our turn Chomp, let's give Thunder Dome a try!" He called out, swiping said card

Chomp roar as he allowed thunder to crackle around his body, forming a patch of dark clouds that engulfed both he and his mate as lighting sparked up here and there. Armatus's stingers were about an inch away, before several streaks of lightning shot out of the cloud cover, vaporising the shards before a great bolt of thunder suddenly repeated the action, striking the stegosaurus and forcing him back into a card

"AAAAHHH!" The alpha trio called out in fright, shocked from the power Chomp just showed

"Now let's see what other damage we can do!" Tank went, forming up at the back with the other dinosaurs behind her, "Rex!"

"I hear you Tank" The dinosaur king called back, swiping his second move "Gaia Mountain!"

The Saichania roared and dashed towards Scowler, first whipping her tail across his face and then flipping him into the air like Chomp does when using final thunder. Then she grew a short lump of crystals in front of her, smashing them with her tail club and sent the shards crashing into him, before finally ending off by giving off a purple aura around her. This resulted in one massive crystal half the size of the earth giants shooting up from the ground beneath the hybrid, stabbing him through the midsection and forming a tip above, before the whole thing shattered and allowed to fall into the mess of sharp diamonds beneath him.

"So, the sons o' bitches have got some bite do they, guess it's time to put them down permanently" Sykes said furiously, before placing a card to his hat "Go lightning axe!"

Scowler, seeing red at the pain that was wrought on him, angrily formed an axe of thunder between his horns, before leaping into the air and span like a boomerang towards his chosen targets

"Take him down Spiny! Ocean, Eternal, Force!" Zoe called out, slashing her card

The Spinosaurus's eyes glowed blue and surrounded himself with a large mass of water, which rippled fluently as several water bound shapes took form around him. He gave a loud roar as a tidal wave rose up behind him similarly to ultimate water, only this was filled with water shaped creatures of both myth and real life, dolphins, mermaids, rays, sirens, sharks, hippocamps, seabirds and fish of various species, even the Nokk itself. Together, Spiny and these water creatures all charged forward, a blue whale using its tail to launch him into the air, and all at once they smashed into Scowlers axe. The force of the blow was not only strong enough to shatter Scowlers axe and make him crash to the ground, but also return him to card form!

Even those like Brontikens and Dynerra struggled to hold in their gasps at the incredible power the usually gullible Spinosaurus just demonstrated. The alpha gang literally dropped their scanners, and even Hans, Gothel and Sykes had their eyes widened in shock "Well… that's that I guess" Was all that Ed could mutter at that point

"The brats Spinosaurus never had that kind of power before" Ursula practically wheezed out

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH! I'M GONNA WIPE OUT THOSE BRATS AND THEIR DINOSAURS OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH MYSELF" Was their leaders reply, throwing a furious tantrum with tick marks over his head as he snatched Ursulas Alpha scanner from the ground, and swiped a specific move card "FIRE SCORCHER!"

Pyro's sail glowed brightly as a fire gathered in his mouth, and letting a giant fireball fly out of his jaws towards the Northuldra. Those that hadn't seen this deathly ability before now, were stumped, a mix of horror and terror running rampant in their veins, never mind the large wall of fire that surrounded them all preventing a chance to escape.

But the D-teams response to this, was Max's last card "DRAGON STORM!" He yelled out as he swiped the card

Terry's eyes first lit up in flames and roared in might, before charging forward like he does with ultimate fire. Yet in this case, burning cinders and magma oozed off his flanks before spreading outwards, forming a large pair of fire bound wings. He gave a mighty flap and soared into sky, a star's worth of flames burst from his mouth, and covered his body, the shape of a dragon now formed around him. The flaming beast that Terry covered himself with speared towards the fire scorcher that Pyro made, collided with it and sheared through it like a hot knife through butter. Then he smashed into Ripper, catching her completely off guard, and sent her flying into Ravage, both rolling along the ground a good few yards, before coming to a stop!

"WAAAAAAAHHH!" The whole alpha gang practically screamed once more, terrified by what Terry just did.

"Whoa! I love that!" Terry exclaimed with a slight laugh at the rushing feeling in his body as he returned to normal

He looked to the downed form of the two predatory hybrids, who continued to lie there un-movingly. Just as the T-rex thought they were down for the count, Ravage gave a stuttering growl as raised back to his feet, much to his surprise "Impressive power friend, you're not so much a push over that I thought you to be" He went and complimented Terry "But I warn you now. This battle is not over, until this field is drenched by the blood of the Northuldra people" He swore, just as Ripper stood up once more and Bulldust came and stood by their side.

"Don't be so sure freak!" Chomp threatened as he stomped to his brother's side "You got to get through all of us first!" He continued, scraping the ground beneath him just as the rest of the D-teams' dinosaurs rallied up with them, the D-kids right by their side.

Suddenly Maleficents green flames sprouted from the ground in front of the three remaining hybrids, the dark mistress herself forming after only a few seconds, a cool smirk on her face. The appearance of which was all it took to have Elsa sprint to the dinosaur line, coating her hands in frost "Throughout this whole battle young D-team, you have surpassed my expectations of your abilities again and again. Even in our little skirmish earlier you have shown cunning and strategy, rather than just simple blind aggression" She told the three kids, who watched her carefully, now fully aware she has the power to put down all of their dinosaurs without even doing anything "But, as you are aware, there is only one reason alone why I am here" She said next, her eyes casting over to Elsa who glared back determinedly, yet merely hiding how shaky she was on the inside "Our game is over. And now, you, are, my, pray" She hissed, the dark magic in her orb swirling dangerously

Just then however, before anyone could say or do anything, a bright purple light suddenly filled the air above them, a large familiar shape shining brightly in that same hue. The light died away, and in it's place, a familiar time travelling ship loomed above the field. The arrival of which, was the one thing that the D-team tried to call for the entire time "Hah!/Alright!/It's-!"

"D-team and friends, to you I've flown, to save you from some evil croooones!" Spectres tone dead singing belched out of the speakers.

The whole battle took a pause at that moment, staring up at the Space Pirates time machine "Worst. Singing. Ever" Terry deadpanned.

"I beg your pardon!?" The space pirate leader replied, offended as a hologram of him formed for everyone to see "I practiced those lyrics day and night for this moment!"

"That wave of light must've destroyed the barrier our new friend set up, to prevent him coming here!" Ursula theorised, yet mistakenly spoiled that little detail to the enemy, a mistake she realised far too late

"A barrier?" Max shouted over aghast

"So that's why we couldn't call for help, never mind why he took so long" Rex added

"You cheating creeps!" Was Zoe's fuming reaction

"And now that I've broken through villains, here's the deal" Spectre addressed Maleficent's army seriously "The D-team, Queen Elsa, her family and the people of this forest, leave them and this place now, or else, your punishment will be most dear!" He threatened, clenching a hand into a fist

"Save your empty threats, demon!" Hans spoke up defiantly with a pointing finger, not recognising the space pirate "Or have you yet to notice that we have an army between you and them?" He continued with a sneer

"Well, if he doesn't scare you" Foolscap called out as he, Gavro and Sheer flew out of the ship and power dived towards them "Try us on for size!"

"Or better yet, if you want an army, try this on!" Gavro yelled out throwing a silver container the size of a football, that popped open and revealed many dinosaur cards activating. The whole land shook as the entirety of the D-teams dinosaur herd now landed on the ground, dozens of different roars filling the air, multiple Jel-jarks forming up in front of them, the attacking army on the forest now finding themselves surrounded on both sides.

While the majority of the invading force took on an air of caution in response to this new opposition, the alpha trio started to whimper like crazy and even Dr. Z's face paled ever so slightly at the angry glares that came their way. Maleficent though, never lost her smirk, even at such a large force now on all sides. If this was the true strength of the D-team, things could still work out for her in the long run "Hmm. I should've expected this. It did almost seem too easy" She mused.

The herd of dinosaurs parted at the front, allowing Guru and Beta to step forward to address the enemy "Some of you we recognise, others we do not." The royal advisor said first, seeing the abundance of orcs still among them, the new unfamiliar and strange dinosaurs, and Maleficent herself "Leave now, or fight all of us at once" He went on, stomping a front foot to emphasize his point

Among the villains, Brontikens was one of the few that saw a retreat to be the most tactical option for now, Pyro and Dynerra unknowingly agreeing with him. The alpha trio were all for it of course as they didn't want to be trampled, yet the leading lady herself "Your show of force is unnecessary today, friend" She addressed the Ampelosaurus with a nod of her head "Just be warned however" That was when she dropped her charmed demeanour, spread her arms wide, and casted a great wall of hellish flames all around her and the remains of her army "THIS, IS NOT OVER!" Her voice echo on the air, scratchy, darkly and demented, heard on the air and resonating through all, widening all of their eyes fearfully "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" She cackled like a harpy, allowing herself to vanish, taking all of her allies with her as the flames died away.

All present closest to the forest took that time to catch their breath. Victory was theirs, yet no one cheered, as it felt so utterly hollow. The D-team almost lost their lives today, the peak of their strength proving to be nearly for nothing against only four mutated lab creations, never mind that woman of unspeakable power, unlike anything they had faced before. Elsa herself, felt her power vibrate against every inch of her being, clawing at her body like an enraged beast whenever Maleficent so much as even spoke to her, a bloodlust from her magic that made her feel so utterly sick, and as for everyone else, all they felt was terror and loss, throughout the entirety of that battle, losing friends and loved ones near the start.

As everyone began to calm themselves, Guru and the other dinosaurs of the herd made their way towards their allies, Beta and Ally rushing to greet their mates as the Northuldra backing up in nervousness "Is everyone okay your majesty?" He asked Rex and his friends calmingly

"A lot better now that you guys are here" Was all the dinosaur king could say to the water champion with a slight scoff, looking back towards the rest and taking in their own exhaustion "I like to think we made some new allies here, but…" He took a pause "Also made some, frankly quite powerful enemies too, forcing us to actions that, we're not really proud of" He told him honestly, before he turned his attention elsewhere among the battlefield.

Guru followed their line of sight, and spotted the corpse of an orc that was shadowed by Meg, Coal and Violet, and discovered a burned hole in its head. Slowly connecting the dots together, he turned his attention back to the three kids before him, and notice Max looking down shamefully, as if a part of his innocence was destroyed as Zoe comforted him by wrapping her arms around his shoulders "Max. What you did was right" He told the brunet gently, for he knew exactly what he was going through

The boy gave him a grateful smile in returns as Elsa came over and laid a gentle hand on his shoulders, looking up at her while she gazed down at him "Elliot would be proud of you. He did say that orcs kill for pleasure, while you do not, remember?" She said to him reassuringly

His smile broadened slightly at that "Thanks your majesty" He said

Her smile increased "Call me Elsa. All of you" She said to the three of them.

Anna came over with Kristoff and Sven to support her sisters' words, yet before she could say anything, a deep rumble of thunder echoed overhead, causing all present to look up into the sky, where all they saw were dark imposing clouds, that sparked no lightning.

Just then, Bruni made himself known, jumping onto Terrys back, hoping up and down like the happiest little guy in the world much to his confusion "Hey, what is it little guy?" He asked, just before the fire spirit hoped down onto Elsas shoulder much to her curiosity, seeing him gaze upward with a massive smile on his face.

Up next, Anna found herself getting shoved with a yelp as Gale flew in once more and dashed and swirled, chittering happily she span around Kristoff and Sven next "What's going on with the spirits?" She asked to anyone in particular

"Don't know" The blond man replied

Even Yelana and her people didn't know what was what.

Suddenly, a massive shape dropped down from the clouds, and slammed on the ground hard, shaking the earth and making several people loss their balance as dust made a cloud around the majority of the area. They all held their breath, sensing something big was about to make itself known while Gale and Bruni only increased in their giddiness.

It first started with a long, string like shape that curled upwards, revealing itself to be a tail of dark golden scales with a spiky club at the tip, which shook slightly and gave off an eery rattling sound. Next came a demon-like draconian head, with a crown of horns pointing out of its back and supported by a long snake like neck, all of the same colour, soon a second head of the exact same shape and colour rose from the dust, along with a second tail, and finally a third head, which found it's place in the middle of the former pair, before the dust cleared away at last, revealing the body.

All looked in awe and wariness as a giant golden hydra stood before them, with long serpent like necks for it's three heads, two long tails of the same length, gigantic wings that were so massive they make even a dragons seem puny, and sporting a northuldran spiritual emblem on the underside of its stout body, all of which supported by two legs with theropod like feet "You're kidding, right…?" Zoe said to herself, taking in the shear enormity of the beast, which was easily able to reach half of the earth giants' size by the main body alone, with its necks and tails being three quarters of the length of Charles and Gertie (neck size that is, not their whole bodies).

And speaking of which, the three representatives of the earth made themselves known as they stepped out of the tree line of the forest, and all gazed at the beast who stared back. Then they all covered their ears as one of giants gave its bellowing roar at the Hydra, which responded by the centre head giving a wailing cry that possessed a deep chilling background, rattling the tails to boot as well. Soon the short contest ended, and Gale chittered fluently as she began to swirl around the titan as if reuniting with an old friend, it's three heads following as best they could each one giving small rumbles and croons as they did.

Then much to the slight confusion of the outsiders of the northuldran lands, its right most head opened its maw full of sharp teeth, and from it came a small speck of light, one that seemed to float towards the ground in a sort of dance as it left glittering particles of dust. Slowly and gently, it fluttered towards Elsa, who in wide eyed awe, cupped her hands in front of her and allowed the small creature to set itself down.

Much to her amazement, a tiny, beautiful fairy now looked up at her. A blue eyed, blond-haired sweetheart that wore it in a small top knot, wearing a cute skirt made seemingly of leaves with slippers of the same material, and bore a smile on her rosy, red lips.

Upon seeing the small pixie, Elsa, Anna, Zoe, Paris and even Tank could not help but aww on the inside, especially once Bruni took one look at the fairy, and the fire spirit jumped onto her and started to nuzzle and lick her silly, causing her to laugh in teeny bell like chimes as her wings fluttered and her legs kicked out.

Soon though, everyone turned their attention up above again as another rumble of thunder sounded off, this one much harsher than before, and a split second later a great bolt of white thunder shot towards the ground, much to the increasing shock of those to witness it. The lightning receded back upwards, and in the place where the bolt struck, a large and utterly magnificent black lion stood, so black it could rival the sky at night, crackles of thunder dancing in its equally proud mane as it gave a low growl. "The other spirits…" Elsa and co turned their attention to Yelana, taking note of the tears in her eyes and the emotional smile on her face "They've returned"

Gasps could be heard by those among the outside who knew what she was talking about, while all others looked on in curiosity to what she was talking about. All before the final spirit made itself known. From the sea and travelling at high speed, a being that looked to be a bird at first was observed by the away team flew towards the land. Upon closing in however, they saw it wasn't a bird, but in fact a woman, completely green in colour, with flowering hair filled with all kinds of wildflowers and plants. She had a long thin body, with sheet like wings that rained grass (once she reached land that is) and sung with nature and life. They all watched, utterly awe struck as this eighth spirit soared across the entirety of the forest with speed that would rival Ace's mayfly ability, her power going haywire. The barren patch of scorched earth that Elliot made was reborn with wild flowers of dazzling colours, the very leaves on the trees went from autumn brown to spring colours, and even across the battlefield the Northuldran, Arendelle guards and more had their bodies dissolve, transforming into beautiful small patches and bushes of flowers and berries, turning the field from a killing field into a playground and garden, shocking the D-teams dinosaur herd in various levels of amazement.

Elsa took this time to examine the other spirits, seeing what they are and what their capable of. She looked to the lion first "Thunder" She said, before looking up to the flying plant made woman as she flew back towards her kin "Plant life" then to the fairy in her hands "Light" And finally up at the Hydra, while all three of its heads looked down to her "Darkness"

"Darkness?" Chomp said, having overheard her "Not sure how I feel about that one" He commented to Paris

"I don't think it's in that context Chompy" Paris reassured her mate "My guess is in a more natural darkness, like the night sky"

"In that case I take it back"

Anna however had something to add, gesturing Kristoff to let go of her so she could speak to her sister "I thought you said you saw traces of them while you were gone" She said to Elsa confusingly

The blond looked back to her with a face to match "I did" She replied, before looking back down to the occupant in her hands "Why did you not show yourselves to me before? How are you here only now?" She asked.

The spirit of light, the fifth spirit, fluttered up from her palms, flew up to the side of her face, and rested one of her tiny hands on her cheek, using the other to point out across the dark sea, where the ninth following as the other spirits copied the actions.

Out there, yet closing at a reasonable speed for its size, was something that was least expected by everyone.

And something that made the Northuldra slowly start screaming in terrot

Closing in on the crowd and gathered spirits, was a dragon. A size that sat in between Terry and Ace, yet who's scales were a proud golden brown that covered the majority of the body, with the edges of its bat like wings and underbelly a greyish white. Slowly it descended towards the ground, flapping its wings to steady its landing, kicking up gusts of wind that made some of the people fall down like trees as they screamed in extreme fear, knowing the horror stories about them.

Why were the spirits just standing there!? They were supposed to start attacking this dreaded beast by now!

Soon the dragon reached the ground, first on its hind legs as it gave an announcing roar that echoed on the air before settling back to all fours and started looking over the crowd before it with its goldenrod eyes, keeping its wings flared open.

All looked towards this stranger, half with fear, other half with wonder and curiosity. Elsa however, had a feeling deep inside as she looked into the dragons' eyes dead centre. As if… she knew this new comer? The creature too engaged eye contact with her, a small huff coming from his nose. Soon however, its head turned to the side, and gestured to something on its back.

What she and Anna saw next, was none other than Sugi drop down off of the dragons back, causing the original away team to gasp, surprise and no small amount of delight running through their veins "Sugi!" Elsa and Anna exclaimed with beaming smiles as the feline walked over to them, a greeting growl coming from her lips as both royals took a chance to embrace her from the sides, Kristoff, Sven and the D-kids following soon after. Soon they pulled back, and Elsa took Sugis face in her hands "How are you back? Who's your new friend?" She asked, looking first to the dragon, then back to her.

But where was Elliot?

The sabretooth cat in question, looked toward the dragon, as if waiting for it to do something. Upon noticing the look, he turned leftwards, and lowered his right wing.

Revealing something that wiped the smiles off the girls faces, now almost slack jawed and their lungs refusing to breathe.

Rising up from the dragons back and using its wings as a ramp to step back to the ground were two people that the D-team did not recognise. A refined man, who had a swept mop of ginger blonde hair with a small moustache of the same colour, jade green eyes and wearing a black suit with gold embroidery that gave him the look of a king, and a fair woman, whose hair was chocolate brown and wrapped in a low bun, ocean blue eyes just like Elsa, wearing a fair violet dress that was fronted by a darker purple colour. Together, hand in hand, each of them stepped off the dragon's wing, the man assisting his lady for the last step. They turned, and when they laid their eyes on Elsa and Anna, their own breath left them.

The sisters, utterly praying that this was no cruel joke and their breathing coming in short rapid breaths, grasped each other hands tightly, and ever so slowly made a few steps towards them, the latter pair returning the action, never taking their eyes away from each other.

That was when the D-team, began to notice a few similarities, a puzzle clicking together in their heads as the four stopped only a few feet from each other "Elsa…" The woman spoke, softly and emotionally, hesitantly raising a hand to the ninth spirits cheek, cupping it with all the affection only a mother could give as she then turned towards the younger girl "Anna…" She said, repeating the action

Daring, and with every positive emotion coming out in flood of tears "It really is you, isn't it" Anna whimpered, looking towards the equally teary man next to the woman

"Anna" Agnarr croaked in his own tears as he opened his arms

"MAMA AND PAPA!" Both young women practically screamed with a sob, wrapping their arms around their parents and not daring to let go

"Oh, darlings!" Iduna cried back as she and her husband returned the favour

"Look at how big you've grown!" Agnarr added in

Each of the four of them wept and sobbed, a long five to six years of being separated by assumed death coming out in the teary tidal waves. Among the crowd, Kristoff and Sven brought each other in for their own embrace, happy tears coming out of their eyes now, same with the D-team, Mattias and his men "No tears, this is a happy moment!" Spiny ordered, before bursting into tears himself and seeking Tank for comfort, who even had tears of her own as she gave a sniff

"I saw that tough girl" Terry joked lightly in his own waterslides

"Oh, shut up" Tank snapped back without any bite

The group hug before them lasted nearly a full ten minutes, before the family pulled apart, Iduna and Agnarr looking all over their children, taking in how much they have matured, at one point of which the former getting swarmed by Bruni and Gale, who danced all over her happily as the woman herself twirled merrily with a laugh.

They all soon heard a low howl on the wind, and they turned to see both the pack of moon maws, and the beast of ahtohallan, observing the reunion from a short distance before they all started walking towards them all. Iduna, filled with more joy than she could handle, stepped away from her family to greet them, first giving greetings to the enchanted wolves with stroking hands, and upon reaching the Cryolophosaurus, the dinosaur bowed down slightly to her, allowing her to grasp his face in her hands "My old friend…" She spoke tearfully, both closing their eyes and pressing their foreheads together

"You actually were friends" Max's speechless voice broke out, causing the pair to turn to him and his team "You guys must go way back!" He said next, before realising what he just said and putting a hand behind his head "Uh, not in that sense, you know"

The former queen of Arendelle laughed gently at his blunder "It's okay" She said, before turning back the cold crested reptile "He and I have known each other for a very long time. He was my confidant, my guardian and tutor. The one soul I could go to whenever I was sad"

Terry was the next member of the D-team to ask the former Northuldran a question "Does he have a name"

She gave a small blush "He does, but I was admittedly very young when I gave it to him, and it might sound silly now" She said, slightly sheepishly "Snowfall. His name is Snowfall" She told them all next as Agnarr walked over to her

The D-team all-nodded approvingly "I like it" Paris praised

Elsa then turned her attention back to the dragon that brought her parents' home, a questioning gaze in her eyes. Who was he? Where did he come from? Why were his eyes… so familiar?

Unless…

No… There was no way…

The dragon returned her stare intently, before closing his eyes and allow a faint glow of golden dust to surround him. In the dust his body turned bright with light as something miraculous began to happen. They all watched, as his horns shrunk into his head, his wings retract away, the claws on his feet began to blunt out, his face shorten and press himself upward onto his back legs. His whole form shifted into a completely different shape, and his eyes remained close as the dust ebbed away, revealing who stood before them now.

Elsa felt her heart pulse in ways that were simply alien to her, and all aside from Iduna and Agnarr gasped with eyes as wide as dinner plates.

Standing before them, with a natural expression on his face, was non-other than Elliot, his whole attire now completely different. From the bottom up he wore sandals of brown leather, silver shin guards on his legs with a light blue rim, a black spartan akin kilt that was covered by strips of white cloth, with a belt of the same colour and for his top half he had a rich smooth brass attuned armour that covered his entire torso, with cream coloured leather acting as shoulder pieces, and ending off with flawless vambraces of that matched the main armour piece. In his left hand was a sword of unknown make, a blade that had no hand guard, and gave off a faint red glow that ran the blades edges, and hummed with seemingly magical energy, same could be said for the strange looking spear in his right hand, of which the bottom stood on the ground as if he was using a walking stick

And the bearer's attention was solely on her, just as hers on him.

Slowly and tentatively, each of them stepped towards each other, the ninth spirit briefly pausing in surprise as the sword seemingly flew out of his hands, and into a scabbard he carried on his back on its own free will, as well as the spear dissapating into thin air. Every step brought them closer, and closer, and closer until only a couple of feet kept them apart.

Every fibre in Elsa's being wanted her to break down and cry, wrap that man she loved in her arms and never let go again. Yet the memories of what she said to him when she last saw him kept her from following those instincts, so instead, she just stood before him, taking in his new appearance, and the fact that he was an authentic dragon just a second ago. "You're alive…" Her words came out in a whisper.

Elliot did not respond to her straight away, looking at her as if she was the most magical being on earth. He let a small huff of breath escape him and a small smile appear on his face "And so are you"

He then rested a hand on the side of her shoulder, which she first replied to by placing her own on his lower arm. Their hands crawled upwards, further and further, until his rested upon her cheek, and hers on his shoulder "Part of me died, when you were thought dead. And I was so afraid of what would happen next" She told him truthfully, tears beginning to pour once more as her jaw wobbled, before giving a slow shake of her head "I'm not anymore…"

He kept eye contact, giving a slight nod to her, before he looked over to see everyone else, taking in their mixed expressions "Hey guys" He greeted them. Anna stepped away from the crowd, over to the pair, looking Elliot dead in the eye for a few moments. And then-

SLAP!

Promptly slapped him, hard! "Augh!" He exclaimed, covering his left cheek as Elsa covered her mouth in shock

"I-I'm sorry!" She apologised quickly "I-I don't what came over me, I just-had to make sure this was all real, you know, you being here and everything!" She explained hurriedly with wide eyes "AND NOW I'M DOING IT AGAIN!" Was her next angry shout, bitch slapping him on his other cheek

"Ow!" He yelped, now covering his right, taking a moment to recuperate himself while the princess took in angry breaths

"What the heck is wrong with you!?" She screamed in his face, tugging him by the front of his armour "Standing in front of a tidal wave like that!"

"Anna-hang on a mo-!"

"What, you thought yourself INVINSIBLE FOR A MOMENT!?" She continued to screech, shaking him before Kristoff, Iduna, Agnarr and the D-team came over and made to pry her off, yet she refused to let go! "Tell me right now, I swear-!

"Whoa whoa whoa, feisty pants!/Anna stop!/It's okay now!/Get off him!/Chill out!/Calm down now!"

"Alright, alright" Anna, relenting her hold and the urge to strangle the poor fellow

"Just leave the guy be!" Kristoff told her, gesturing to him before leading her away

Elsa then walked up to Elliot, laying a cooling hand where Anna slapped him "Are you, okay?" She asked worriedly

"Well now" Terry spoke up from the crowd, recovering from Annas outburst "I say we just had a first-hand experience of why you shouldn't piss her off" He said to his herd mates

"I for one, would piss my pants" Spiny replied

"Babe, you don't even wear pants" Tank said to her boyfriend, she herself shocked from what they saw the princess do

"Oh" Spiny remembered

Chomp was about to make a comment himself, when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned, and saw the black lion staring at him firmly, with an analytical expression in it eyes. "Uhhh… what's up?" The triceratops said to the enchanted feline unsurely.

Paris saw what was happening as well, and looked to her mate with a deadpanned look when he said those words "What's up… seriously?"

"Well I don't know" Chomp defended himself.

The Thunder spirit gave a low growl, making lightning spark in his mane as began to scrape one of his front paws on the ground, even more lightning dancing between his claws. As this happened, the mangled stump on Chomps head began to crackle with electricity on top, the triceratops receiving it as a painful pinch, making him shaking his head. Up next, the nature spirit took flight and soared in a circle around the dinosaur, allowing her wings to rain leaves and plant matter on the stump, giving off an enchanting green hue as they landed on point. The black lion then gave a mighty roar, it's eyes a bright white and a lightning bolt striking at the ruined horn with great cracks of thunder as Chomp screamed painfully, while everyone else looked on in shock. The lightning shifting upwards away from his head as the plant matter left by the nature spirit swirled and danced along with it, until both elements fused together, forming bone and keratin. Soon the show ended, and the process was ceased with flash of light, allowing Chomp to stop his screaming as he took deep breaths

Among the observers, there were many who watched in wonder at what had transpired, but for the few they observed in joyous amazement, a massive happy grin coming on Max's face and tears coming to Paris's eyes. Soon enough Chomp caught onto their staring, and looked slightly upwards.

An emotional gasp was heard as he saw something that was not there before.

His horn!

His horn was back!

He was whole again!

He stared at it in pure awe and joy.

He looked back to the spirit of thunder, so many things he wanted to say, yet all that could come from him was an emotional "Thank you"

The dinosaurs all gathered around him, Paris nuzzling her mate gleefully. While that went on, Elliot looked outward, past a smiling Iduna and onto the awe inspired Northuldra people, Yelana specifically who caught his eyes on her. Slowly and placatingly, he left Elsa's arms and walked towards her "I know you and your people were willing to sell Elsa and our friends out to the enemy" He said to her first, making the Northuldran leader back up nervously "That your fear of what I am, made you think that I would return and conquer your lands with an army, had I not been disposed of. If this were any other circumstance, I'd take your head, as retribution and justice for these actions" He told her, not cruelly, but truthfully as he took in her regretful expressions, Honeymaren coming up to her defensively, yet not hiding her own look of guilt as well. "But I will say this. Our conflict. Our hatred towards each other. I was shown the truth of how it started. And your people aren't the ones to be blamed" He said next, ignoring the younger Nothuldran as he continued to address the elder "You once had eight spirits living in your forest, which were casted into a prison of dark magic for centuries. In a show of good faith, I have returned them to you, and renounce all accusations I have made towards you and all of the Northuldra. There was once a time when our people lived amongst each other in harmony" He then held out an open hand, his palm facing upwards "For the sakes of our ancestors, for all who fell, and those who are still to come. Let us end these hostilities between us, and work toward a new era of peace"

Elliots words and meaning in his words was felt by all.

For Yelana and the Northuldra, this was a most unexpected circumstance. All of their lessons and tuition about dragons being soulless beings of death rang and screamed in their heads, a long line of generations of tradition. It was dragons who nearly burnt down their home, yet now here one stands, an undeniable offer and gesture of peace and goodwill. It was in a sense, utterly mind boggling.

Eventually, after minutes pondering, the silver haired woman steeled her expression, and gently encouraged Honeymaren to lower her staff, much to her hesitance, and walked over the dragon in human form, staring him directly in the eye "Many of my actions and decisions, cost the lives of many of my people" She spoke first with much regret "All based on my fears of what could happen next. But you have proven that we don't have to be enemies anymore, for what you accomplished today" She then grasped his hand tightly "This second chance you present with, is something we possibly do not deserve. And for that, I can never thank you enough" She told him.

Elliot gave a nod, accepting her words, before the pair released each other just in time for him to see Elsa slowly walking over to him, hesitantly placing a hand in his "I know three individuals in particular who would be happy to see you as you really are" She said to him with a small smile "How does it, feel?"

He turned to face her fully "In a word… whole" He replied with the same look

After a moment, just acknowledging being around each other, Elliot leaned in, and whispered something in Elsa's ear, something that made her widen her eyes in shock. As well as feel bad for having completely forgetting about it before. "Anna" She beckoned, her sister coming over to the pair as Elsa faced her "I need to ask you something important" She said.

"Okay?" Anna went, looking between her sister and brother-in-law askingly

A small smile broke across her face "Do you want to build a snowman?"

Anna gasped "What?"

The ninth spirit closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. Everyone than watched in mixed levels of awe once more as Gale came fluttering in, a gust of snow in her wake, chittering as she briefly swirled around the light spirit, making her give giggling chimes as the wind spirit than moved on to casually swirl around the entire party. Agnarr and Iduna in particular could not help but be utterly amazed and proud of their daughter, the latter's heart filling with pride of Elsa's achievement in both controlling her magic, and her connection to the other spirits. "Thankfully for us all. Water has memory" She said, the wind spirit now pooling the snow flutter before them, and forming a very familiar snowman.

Anna's core filled with elation and giddiness once she saw Olaf's form before them, the pain of seeing him die now nothing more than a bad dream. Yet she stopped herself from rushing over to him, instead fiddling with her satchel of the snowman's remnants in her hands. She looked down at it "Elsa and I have made him, so many times when we were kids" She said fondly, before turning to Elliot "As far as I'm concerned. It's now your turn" She said, gesturing the bag to him with a smile on her face

The dragon in human form looked down at it thoughtfully, before his own small smile came across his lips, pushing the bag back towards her "Why don't all three of us do it? He is the symbol of your childhood essentially" He suggested, first looking to Anna, then to Elsa at the end. They all grinned in agreement, before they all went over to Olaf's body, and set about piecing him back together while everyone else watched. First his stick arms, the twigs that represent his hair in second, then his buttons for third.

Elliot was the one who stuck his carrot nose in, and the girls stepped away while the man in question stayed down on one knee. A smile split the snowman's face with a giggle as his eyes blinked open, and boy did he look even happier when he noticed who was in front of him "Elliot?" He gasped

He gave a slight chuckle "Hello Olaf." He said simply

Olaf gave a joyous laugh as he immediately went and wrapped his stick arms around his neck, which for once was eagerly responded to as Elliot wrapped an arm around the back of his head, tightly even. That was when he noticed everyone else around them, his already big smile now threatening to split his face "Anna?" He first addressed, the princess near sobbing in happiness "Elsa!" He noticed next, before turning to the rest "Kristoff and Sven! Sugi!" He next exclaimed, the mountain man wrapping an arm around svens neck as the animals gave their own happy smiles and sounds "D-team!" He then yelped in glee, the D-kids giving a laugh as Zoe hugged Max from the side with sob, the dinosaurs giving their own emotionally happy looks. "Hehehehe, you're all back together! Aww I just love a happy ending!" He giggled and laughed as they all gathered around him in huge group hug that lasted a good few moments, before they pulled apart "I mean I presume we're done, or is this whole 'putting us in mortal danger' situation gonna be, a regular thing?" He asked Elsa

The queen gave a slight laugh. While Maleficent was a major new threat, she was defeated for now, and probably won't show herself again for a time yet. Besides, why spoil the happy mood "No we're done" She told him, running her hand through his twig hair

"Actually" Kristoff suddenly said, a nervous tone in his voice "There is one more thing. With, your permission, and blessings?" He asked, looking to two people in particular.

It did not take long for Iduna and Agnarr to figure out what he was asking them, widening their eyes in response as they looked to each other with questioning gazes. A little moment later though, small smiles appeared on their faces, turning back towards Kristoff as Iduna gave a small nod of her head.

The blond man gave a smile of thanks, before he walked up to Anna, and took her hands in his, the woman in question looking up at him curiously "Anna" He started "On the way to the enchanted forest, you asked me, if I thought you were crazy" He said, bringing confusion from her, and those around them. Yet, Kristoff still maintained his confident smile "Well to answer that. I think I'll be blunt" He then said, kneeling down on one knee, bringing a gasp from his love, and excited smiles around them "You are the most wonderful, and extraordinary person, I have ever known" Cue a madly smiling Anna at this, wide eyes and hands over her mouth, a tiny whimper escaping her "I love you with all I am." He spoke once more, before reaching into his top, and pulling out the same ring he had on him this whole time "Will you marry me?"

Anna slowly removed her hands from her lips, choked on a slight sob, and provided an answer as she gave the biggest smile she could through her tears "Yes!" She cried, rushing into her new fiance's arms as they both gave a laugh, everyone around them gave their own gasps of joy, Sven even going on to crying, being nudged by a smiling Sugi with a teasing growl.

Kristoff, still laughing with Anna, slipped the jewel piece on her ring finger, picked her up and span her around, before setting back down as the pair engage in a loving kiss. Everyone gathered around them to provide their own congratulations "You know, if I was a jerk, I would've told you to say no, just to see what his reaction would be" Elliot whispered to her, who responded in slightly shoving backward with a laugh

"You're so mean!" She replied to him, laughing through her tears

He gave an amused huff "Maybe, but it's as you said. Somethings never change, right Elsa" He went on, turning to his love as Anna refocused her attention elsewhere. Yet when he turned, and saw Elsa looking away from everyone with her head down, his smile went away, becoming more curious and concern "Hey, you okay?" He asked, walking over to her and gently laying a hand on her shoulders "What's wrong?" He asked next

That was when, with a frown of remorse on her face, did she raise her head "What's wrong?" She asked as if that was the most stupid question in the world, turning to face the man she hurt, her words coming out in guilt filled shouts "What's wrong!? Did you honestly forget how dreadfully I treated you when we last spoke!? All of those horrible things I said to you, threatening you with death if I ever saw you again even, all because I didn't stop to freaking think!?" She tugged air into her lungs, fighting back the urge to cry her anguish and guilt "And what about the necklaces we made for each other? The ones we made with so much love in the gesture alone, all while being too young to know what's to love someone in that way, the very same ones I destroyed right in front of your face?" Her lips spread thin to stretch across her face, tears pooling her eyes, and a racking sob shaking her whole being "Do you honestly expect me to just forgive and forget that, after what I saw happen to you on that day!?" And that was the moment she could hold no more; her hands covering her eyes to hide her waterslides and began to sob profusely.

Elliot took immediate action, moving to remove her hands with his own "Elsa" He pleaded to her softly, making shushing noises and encouraging her to breath, laying his hands on her tear-stained cheeks "Shh, shh, wipe away the tears, calm done" He said to her soothingly, wiping away her tears as she began to breath normally once more "I need you to listen to me very carefully about something." He continues, now holding her hands in between them "What happened in that moment, was my fault, not yours"

"Elliot- "

"Just, listen" He cut her off firmly before she could say anything "What happened between us, was of my doing. Not a day goes by, that I don't remember my tormentor's threat on your life, should you and Anna be even given a whiff of the truth. I could not bear the very thought, of them hurting you. A fear that runs through every inch of my body, whether they are alive or not" He swallowed thickly "Their words, echo in my head, no matter how many times I try to force them out. My terror at the thought of that, and their words, is what made me tell that lie, to protect you from a threat that can't even be followed anymore" He raised a hand to one of her cheeks, one that she quickly covered and squeezed gently "I was, in every sense of the word, a fool, Elsa. Made a mistake, a monumental one at that. That mistake is what chased me away, what ruined our love and marriage, not you. Never was, never will be" He took a pause to get his breath back "However. While I was in ahtohallen, I came face to face with Draco and Seikatsu, the goddess of the dinosaurs, as well as the spiritual form of my great grandmother. And together, they all showed me every last memory we shared, both with each other and without, from the day we first met. And when I looked to them, something in me clicked, reminded me of my place in the world" Throughout his words, he never broke eye contact, even as he prepared his final sentence while Elsa gave a sniffle "I know who I am… who and what I was always, meant, to be"

At the threat of tears pouring down her face once again, and with a wobbly jaw Elsa dared to ask, "What's that?"

Elliot did not break eye contact, nor did he speak for a few moments. But after this short pause, and very nearly breaking down himself, he spoke three words, alone.

"I'm your husband"

At this sentence, Elsa's hands went to her mouth, and a heart filled with so much love, forgiveness and adoration came out in the waterslides. Sobs racked out of the Ninth Spirit as the Son of Dragons allowed his own tears to spill. By rushing or by merely falling over in their emotional states of mind, the pair wrapped each other in their arms tighter than a python's grip, neither one daring to let go should this be a dream, and waking up to find themselves alone once again. Their embrace was observed by all, D-team, Arendellian, Northuldran, Spirit and Dinosaur as it went on and on "I love you, Elliot" Was all that Elsa could whimper

"I love you too, Elsa" Was Elliots breathless reply, a small smile growing as a tear went down his left cheek.

Elsa then slightly pulled away, stared lovingly into his eyes "There's one more thing you should know" She told him, taking a hand in her own, and placing it to her midsection.

Elliots teary eyes widened, surprised joy dancing in them as he dared ask "Are… are you-?" He couldn't even finish his question

Elsa tears never ceased as she nodded enthusiastically "Ahtohallen made me pregnant again!" She sobbed "It's took all of our shared memories, and used them to make this possible!"

"Oh Elsa…!" Elliot nearly laughed back through his tears, bringing her into his arms again as she immediately wrapped hers around him

A sob from neither party took them out of their moment, pulling away and turning to see all of their friends and family struggling to hold back tears of their own, emotion running high in the moment. It was Anna who made the sobbing sound, gesturing to them as she made a request "Can I get in on that?"

Elliot was first to respond to the question, releasing his love and opened his arms for the princess with the biggest grin on his tear-stained face "Come here, you idiot!" He ordered lightly through his cries, which was quickly answered by the princess rushing into his arms with a cry of her own, and not daring to let go, soon re-joined by Elsa as they engaged in a tight group hug. The loving pair opened their eyes, and saw the rest standing back, yet had a want in their eyes to join as well "And you too" Was all he said.

Everyone gave a slight laugh as they nearly ran towards the trio. Iduna and Agnarr had their arms around Elsa and Elliots's shoulders, Kristoff wrapped his around Annas body, the D-kids and their dinosaurs surrounded the six in an embrace of their own, Olaf gave a laugh as he popped his head out into the middle of the group hug, and Sven and Sugi each snuck their necks into the arms of their respective owners.

As they embraced, a shadow soon covered them, making their attention turn to see the darkness spirit towering over them, a peaceful looking gaze in its three pair of eyes. Slowly and with small smiles on their faces, Elsa, Anna and Elliot all walked up to the golden coloured hydra as they stared up at it, its leftmost head lowering himself to their level. They each laid a hand on his snout, looking into his eyes with a gentle gaze, which, amusingly, was responded by it using it's forked tongue to lick Anna's face, making her laugh from the tickling sensation as the couple looked on fondly.

The middle head, having enough of his body brothers shenanigans made a snapping growl at the opposing head, snapping him out of the moment as he snarled back.

A while later, everyone had regrouped once more at the standing stones, making final preparations for the journey home at last, the dinosaur herd all back on board the space pirates time machine. On one side of the field, Anna and the white moon maw were having their own little moment, maybe their final one for a while to say the least. They stared each other in the eye as she ran a hand down the side of his face, her other one cradling his chin "I want to thank you for everything. For looking out for me when I had completely lost hope. And for saving my life." She told him earnestly, the giant wolf giving a soft huff through his nose "Do you think I'll ever see you again? I really don't want this to be a final goodbye, and I'd like to return the favour, someday" She pleaded

He gave a slight nod of his head, telling her that he would like that as well. Anna smiled at this, before noticing the black wolf pup at her feet, running around her legs with a wagging tail. She laughed adoringly as kneeled down, and gave him a few belly rubs, causing the baby wolf to pant profoundly as he lied on his back.

Nearby, Agnarr covered one of Mattias's hands with his own, staring at his ally from so long ago "Arendelle is okay, old friend" He said

"What?" Was the veterens breathless reply, sharing a joyous surprised look with his two remaining soldiers

Meanwhile, Iduna held hands with both Yelana and Honeymaren as Elsa stood close to her mother "Ahtohallan is dangerous, yet beautiful" Was the former queens' words to the pair, looking at each of them in the eye as they gave a slight nod of acknowledgement.

That was the moment when Bruni and the light spirit went and surprised the young ninth spirit by jumping into her hand "Ohh, hehe hello" Elsa laughed in greeting as the blue salamander went and curled up in her palm as the fairy sprayed pixie dust on her hair, causing her to laugh more as Iduna looked on adoringly

"You know…" Honeymaren began, looking a bit downwards with a slight bashfulness in her eyes as the other three women looked to her "You belong up here. Both of you" She told Elsa, with nothing but truth in her words, causing Yelana to nod in agreement to the pair.

At this however, Elsa casted her eyes towards Bruni in her hands. In a way the young raven-haired northuldran was right. As a spirit of the enchanted forest herself, this is basically where she belonged in the world now. It is also here that she can truly express herself without fear, and the feeling of freedom was unrivalled. That said however, this place, and the people who live here. They're all strangers to her. The entire forest as a whole, was strange and different. And while she could learn to love it here, and make new friends and family, the truth of the matter is… is…

Before she could ponder more, Elsa felt her mother's hand on one of her shoulders, turning to look at her with an understanding expression "I have made my choice. But know that wherever you decide to live, you will always be my daughter. And I want you to be happy, no matter what you choose." She told her with a motherly smile on her face.

A look that was mirrored by the blond, for now she knew what she wanted "I took an oath as queen, to do what's always best for Arendelle, just as my mother before me" She began, giving Bruni a gentle stroke down his spine "But aside from that… I have always wanted to know where it was that I truly, truly belong in this world" She carried on earnestly. A small smile appeared on her face a moment later though "Happily…" She said, casting a look away, as the other women followed her sight "I now know just where that is" She finished, her mothers smile changing from understanding to that of adoration.

There they saw Elliot in his newly returned dragon form once more, standing proudly as the D-team, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Agnarr and Mattias stood around him as they conversed with each other "So this whole changing form between human and dragon like that, is that something all dragons can do?" Paris asked

"Indeed, it's something all of my kin are capable of" Elliot started, his voice much richer and deeper than his human form "You've just never seen it, because my species prefers to stand out and look majestic as all hell than like the average animal" He added in

"Nice to see your way of speech doesn't really change" Chomp commented humorously as stood beside his mate

"Yeah, I was kind of expecting you to get that all knowing vibe, like your parents have" Terry added in jokingly as Ally joined up with him, bringing a laugh out of the Allosaurus

"Hey" Elliot snipped back in mock offence "I may be the dragon I was always meant to be, but the way I talk is my own, got it?" He said.

They all gave a brief laugh, the first one in a good many hours after what they all went through today. Elliot than casted his eyes to his wife, and upon seeing the young queen giving him a loving look, an adoring grin stretched his maw, stepping away from the dinosaurs as the pair walked up to each other, the dragon lowering his head so Elsa could wrap her arms around her husbands face, closing their eyes as relishing in the embrace.

The away team all looked the married pair, with smiles and grins on their faces with a bustle of positive emotions running through them. "You know I still don't understand what transformation means" Olaf suddenly said to Ace, the Carnotaurus looking down at him as the snowman continued "But I feel as if this forest has really changed us all" He finished

Ace took a moment to think about his answer "Well, in a way you're right. Some of us, maybe a bit" He began, before looking back at the pair "Others. Irreversibly"

Suddenly, three gigantic forms suddenly landed down on the floor, bringing everyone out of the peaceful moment as they looked to see the surprised visitors.

Eyes widened everywhere as three familiar dragons now stood before the crowd, a trio that had a look of surprise on their faces two once their landed on the unfamiliar dragon standing in front of Elsa. When they looked eyes however, their feelings of surprise turned into something else entirely. Elliot, still in dragon form, stepped away from his wife, and cautiously and slightly wondered over, not getting too close just yet. Their kind were known to strike at unfamiliar faces near their territory, even going as far as killing them.

Panthos eyed the smaller dragon, yet not with a look of hostility. But rather one that spoke in volumes. Slowly and watchfully the dragon king stepped up to Elliot, the smaller of the pair bowing down his head in a show of submission, never breaking eye contact. The crowd of human and dinosaur alike observed as Panthos raised a foreleg, and used his clawed hand to gently raise Elliots head upwards.

That was when the eldest male realised just who he was looking at, as a very rare hint of tears pooled in one of his eyes "Caesar…" He dares to speak, a hopeful expression on his face that oozed in his emotions

All that the youngest dragon could do, was give a slight draconic smile as his own tears pooled once more for the second time that day "Father…" He replied back.

In that moment, both dragon males embraced, the larger of the two grasping his child by the bottom of his neck, pulled him in tightly and lowered his neck down to the smaller dragon's head from behind, while Caesar placed on of his own forepaw on Panthos's shoulder and pressed against his chest, each of them closing their eyes as their tears fell. The youngest opened his eyes again, to see Rohanna softly sob with a loving smile on her face as she joined in, her neck snaking around both males and a paw on his back, the youngest then looking to see Koba with tears of his own, the pair of brothers pressing their heads together as both closed their eyes. Together they all lowered to the ground, for at long last a family once torn apart had been truly reunited, in every sense of the word.

Throughout it all, all that Elsa could do was softly cry at the scene, seeing that the love of her life had his family truly back together, her tears falling as Anna, just as teary with a big fat smile on her face walked over to her sister and gave her a side hug, followed closely by their own mum and dad as they all observed. At one point, Panthos opened his eyes and saw the young spirit watching them, and extended one of his wings to the sisters. Together they touched his wing tip, and allowed them to be led into the embrace, the two climbing up onto Elliots back and allowed the dragon king to snake his neck around the two girls in a rare occasion of affection.

As for Elliot himself?

Well. For what is genuinely, the first time in his life.

He was well, and truly… home.

DK

A week later

Arendelle

The autumn shone down upon a joyous kingdom, as its citizens stood outside the castle gates, all with proud, excited smiles on their faces. They watched, as a familiar dragon in human skin with a crown on his head, and a fancy royal suit with gold embroidery and Aangra in her scabbard attached to his hip on the left, walked through the arch of the gate, with Sugi in her dragon steel armour by his left.

"Presenting his royal majesty. King Elliot, of Arendelle!" Kai announced proudly as the man in question came up beside him, looking over his new people

The entire kingdom rejoiced, children whooped and screamed in giddiness and happiness as various adults, both civilian and guardsman gave great cheers, with piercing whistles. Elliot looked out over them all, a proud yet humbled smile on his face, nerves though kicking in overdrive. Sugi nudged him with her snout, bringing his attention to her as the feline gave a look of pride in her eyes. Together, king and sabretooth proceeded forwards as the crowd parted for them, the fresh king giving the occasional wave and nod of his head to greet the people "Ye-yes hello, hey there, hm, hey" He said with a slight chuckle as he walked on, soon reaching the end of the line, coming upon a specific reindeer, sitting on his hind legs and looking quite proud with a bow tie on his front "Well, well Sven, never thought I'd see you wearing one of these" He complimented as he patted his shoulder blade

"King Elliot" Anna's voiced was heard

Elliot turned to see his sister-in law walking over to him, a black royal dress that stretched to the floor with hints of green under a long cut hallway down the skirt, her hair in a bun and a small tiara on her head "Woah Anna. Don't tell me you're staging a coup already" He joked, replacing the smile on her face with a mock look of shock "What, you changed your mind about me being king on my first day?"

"Oh, shush you" She retorted playfully as approached him "I asked for this dress for this particular day, and you accuse me of that?" She said next, causing a laugh out of the pair at their banter, wrapping an arm around each other like siblings in a side hug

"Ahem" They heard Olaf next

They turned down to see him "Oh my goodness! /Holy shit! Olaf" They both said simultaneously, seeing him in his own custom-made royal suit. And boy did he look uncomfortable.

"Charmed, I'm sure" He said formally with a smile on his face, trying to bow down yet failing miserably

The pair gave another slight laugh as Anna gave a curtsy "Charming"

"Your majesty" They then all turned to see Kristoff, causing Anna to give a gasp as Elliots eyes went wide. For there they saw the mountain man in a suit that would make any man a prince, his hair swept slightly backwards and his face cleanly shaven as he gave a bow.

"Alright" Elliot went on, walking over to the man "Who are you, and what have you done with Kristoff? Cos there is no way he would ever wear something like this" He accused jokingly, first poking him in the chest, and then gestured back to himself causing the man in question to laugh as he took the joke in stride "Seriously though, did you really get dressed up like this for me?" He asked them all in a more touched manner

"It was my idea" Elsa suddenly said. They all turned to see her walking over to them, stopping just a little distance away from them with a beaming expression on her face, and in a dress they thought was long gone.

Her coronation outfit. The same purple cape, teal coloured dress and same styled tiara on her head, only missing the gloves she wore on that fateful day. The young spirit herself, was beginning to show the tell-tale signs of a baby bump again, the magic within her growing the infant within at an accelerated pace. "Wow, Elsa" Elliot said breathlessly, closing the distance between him and his wife, running a hand over one of her sleeves "I didn't think I'd ever see you in this old thing again."

"Well, the way I see it, a queen must look the part for the coronation of her king" She replied lovingly, dusting a hand of her own across the collar of his suit before giving him a peck to the cheek

"One hour" The pair turned to Kristoff at his words "You get this for one hour" He explained, gesturing to himself as he and Anna walked over to them

"My friend, as your king, I order you out of that death trap and into more comfortable clothing" The new king replied to him in a mock dramatic tone. "Maybe I could make it illegal for men to wear these things" He thought out loud

"Not so fast there, honey" Elsa said, folding her arms in front of her and giving a mock-stern look "You're the king consort, while I'm queen regnant, therefore I hold more power than you"

"He does have a point though, Elsa" Anna spoke with a cheeky smile, walking over to her fiancé "Besides. I prefer leather on him anyway" She added in, kissing Kristoffs cheek, and even slightly ruffling his hair do with one of her hands

"See. She gets it" Elliot went on, causing Elsa to give a sigh of exasperation, with slight laugh at the end. The pair then walked off, arm in arm as Sugi followed behind.

One married pair gone, Anna and Kristoff turned to face each other properly, gazing into one another's eyes "Thank you so much for agreeing to this sweetie" The princess spoke adoringly as she wrapped her arms around his neck, as he curled his own around her back "I just wanted Elliot to have his special day before we have our own. Very soon mind you"

He gave her a loving smile "Hey, don't worry about it, it's like I said" He replied, before he stroked one of her cheeks with the back of his hand "My love is not fragile" Anna went slightly teary eyed at those words, before the pair engaged in a deep passionate kiss.

"Brrr! That was brutal" Olaf spluttered, bringing the pair out of their moment and causing the rest to see him out of his suit, two of his buttons in hand much to Svens annoyance "I don't know how you can wear stuff like that, much less for an hour" He said indignantly, before giving a slight sigh "The things we do for love"

Among the crowd were the D-team, Mattias and the dark-skinned woman of his affection, Halima, looking over an object that the soldier did not recognise "What do you call this crazy magic again?" He asked the kids

"It's a screenshot, or photograph depending on how you call it, and it's not magic. Just technology ahead of this place" Zoe said in reply, holding up her dino bracer which she used to kindly take a photo of him and Halima together, arm in arm and bearing a soft smile on their faces.

"Screenshot or photograph, huh. We look good" Mattias said to his lady, who chuckled gently in reply.

"Halima, General Mattias" Elliot greeted as he and Elsa walked over

"D-team" His wife added in quickly

"Uhh, your majesties!" The new head of military quickly replied in greeting after being initially startled by their sudden appearance, making a bow that was followed by the rest

"How does it feel to be king, Eli?" Max asked on behalf of his team, forgoing any formalities between them. At his pleading

"Well, I won't josh you, as you say, it's gonna take some getting used to" He replied, casting his eyes up to the crown on his head "Never quite thought a crown to be a comfortable item to wear anyhow" He muttered out next

"Perhaps, for his unwavering service to the kingdom, his majesty should pass the crown down to Destin if he feels unsuited for the role" Halima mused to the new king, her face full of humour and mischief as she wrapped an arm around her boyfriend

"Watch it Hali, I do have the power to shut down your hearth for making suggestions like that" Elliot replied back without any bite in his joking threat, causing them all to laugh at their banter "How are things in Sanjo kids?" He asked the D-team as they all began to walk together

"Much better, everyone is back where they belong, and life has pretty much returned to normal." Rex answered for them all. When the D-team could finally return home after their adventure at the enchanted forest, Spectre and his pirates simply teleported the team to the D-lab, fastest way for them to return home at the time. Originally there was still a bit of pandemonium as people were very unsure what to do… and there was a complication of a tidal wave wiping half of the city, much to their shock. This was quickly reversed when the time machine warped in above and used it restoration device to set things back to normal, after which the cities people were led by the herd back to the city

"Was anyone hurt when the elements went crazy?" Elsa asked in concern, still feeling guilt for waking up the spirits in their anger at the time

"Only a few cuts and bruises from the majority, but no casualties miraculously. They all made it to the hills above the city before the worst of it started" Zoe replied with a smile, approaching the main square of the city, where there they saw the people gathering up a large object covered in a cloak. Together, Elsa and Elliot each grabbed onto a long line of rope, and tugged hard, pulling down the cover and revealing the brass masterpiece that laid under it.

The item in question was Iduna and Agnarr in their younger forms, standing together hand in hand and a small smile on their faces, while standing behind them was Arom'ee in her dragon form that curled around them, her wings spread wide and her mouth in a proud roar.

The people around this monument gave great cheers and applause once more at the mere sight of it, knowing just what it now stands for "All of our lands, and all of our people…" Elsa spoke softly, a small smile on her face

"Now connected by love…" Elliot finished for them, before the couple gazed to each other lovingly

"You didn't have to do this, you know" A voice spoke out. Both of them turned to see Iduna and Agnarr walking their way, now in much different attires than before. The former queen was out of her queenly dress and now wore the traditional clothing of the Northuldra, to represent her old people from the far north, while Agnarr had swapped his kings uniform for a much simpler civilian fit for Arendelle's people, both of which no longer the king and queen of Arendelle

"Maybe. But it's what we feel you deserve" Elsa replied to her mother with a firm believing smile across her face "Especially you" She told next

"How are you finding my old home on hunters ridge?" Elliot asked the pair, having moved in to his old hut to live the rest of their lives in a peaceful retirement.

"It is definitely not the castle. But I personally think that's its greatest attribute" Agnarr replied to the young king, laying a fatherly hand on his right shoulder

"So do I" His wife added in, taking her daughters hands in hers before a roar interrupted the moment, the four looking out onto the fjord.

In the middle of the bay was a large platform of ice, and on it was a brawl between Terry and Chomp, against Snowfall. Ever since the battle of the enchanted forest, the brothers wanted to see how they would fair against the beast of ahtohallen, and so far, they were in short, getting their asses handed. "Oh for-Stand still!" Terry roared frustratingly, lunging at the Cryolophosaurus with a snapping jaw, only for the magic enhanced dino to dodge and kick his feet out from under him, sending him toppling over.

"Gotcha now bitch!" Chomp announced, before activating a move "Ultimate thunder!" He called, before a path a lightning displayed itself before him. But before the strike of thunder could paralyze him, his target dashed forward along the path, and rammed the Triceratops away

Not too far away were Paris and Ally, the two females having flags attached to their tails with a picture of their respective mates, and so far, they were cringing at how badly their loved ones were getting pummelled "Don't give up Chomp, I still believe in you!" Paris cheered on to her mate, waving her flag about

Ally on the other hand "What the hell Terry, fight back!" The Allosaurus screeched furiously, jumping up and down like a toddler having a tantrum "Gah! Terrence, Suri and Matilda are more ferocious than you! Never mind how I could run circles around him!" She continued, bringing up the names of their children into the mix

While the majority of the crowd took great humour in this scene, Terry, after getting beaten around and the lack of support from his mate, had had enough, stomping over to her with a look to match her own "You know what Ally, if you think you could do any better, you go out there and fight him yourself!" He told her grumpily

"Fine, I will, watch and learn!" She snapped back, powering herself up with a Mayfly and dashed forward to fight him. It was not even ten seconds later that she is on the ground sailing past him and ending up nearly in the water. Her mate walking up to her with a smug look in his eyes "Don't, say, a word…!" She growled menacingly

"Don't need to" He replied simply, before jumping into the water and swimming back to land.

From the docks among the D-team, Max could only groan with a deadpan expression on his face "Man all they could think was seeing how they fared against Snowfall, and now they're gonna want to train to match him."

"Well hey, at least they have another reason to keep in fighting shape" Zoe replied to her boyfriend with a sweat drop over her head to give away her exasperation of them

"I for one thinks it's good that they have such a powerful sparring partner" Anna said, having also watched the short entertaining battle along with Kristoff, Sven and Olaf "Speaking of, I didn't say thank you for respecting his choice to live here with mom and dad" She told Rex in particular

"I maybe Dinosaur King, but I'm not a tyrant" Rex replied easily, taking in her gratitude "Everyone has the right to their own choices, and as long as I am king, that won't change any time soon"

"Besides, he's so much different compared to the rest of our dinosaurs" Zoe added "And after being apart for so long already, I think they deserve to catch up more than anything"

Further away from the group, Elliot and Elsa stood side by side, overseeing their conversation fondly, watching as Iduna, Agnarr, Matias and Halima join them "You wanna know something?" Elsa turned her head to look lovingly at her husband at the sound of his voice "I don't think Anna would've done half bad as queen of Arendelle. You know, if we decided to live the rest of our lives elsewhere" He told her confidently yet gently.

She turned to face her lover fully, a loving look in her eyes "Well for everything she's worth… you're going to be an even finer king" She said to with utmost confidence and affection

Elliot matched his wife's look, laying a hand on her tummy and softly caressed it "I have something a lot more important in mind" He replied with the same adoring tone, before they pulled each other into a gentle kiss, sharing their love and excitement for the next new steps in their lives. Parenthood, with no returns.

As they continued their lip lock however, they were interrupted by the arrival of Gale, who chittered and twirled around them "Hi gale/Hey lil' shit" They each greeted her, before noticing a small letter each in her currents of wind. Elsa plucked it from her, and opened it up "It's from your father" Elsa said to Elliot eagerly, who took from her and began to read it

"Says here that he and Yelana reached an agreement, and are already making plans to work toward the peace their kin had from centuries before. They're sorry for not being here for my coronation, but are eager to see my kingship in person very soon, and are waiting for a chance to sign a peace treaty with the Dinosaur kingdom. Take care of arendelle and the family you made my son, love, mother and father" Elliot read aloud, all with a small grin on his face "I love you too, guys" He said softly

Elsa gave a small giggle, resting her head on his shoulders briefly "Now, I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the need for a fly around, could you help me out?" She asked him cheekily

"That better not be the only reason you married me these days, Elsa" He teased back, stepping out of her embrace

"No, I'm just merely pointing out one of the many benefits, right Gale?" She asked on the air, the wind spirit chittering musically as she gave a single swirl around the castle, before finally leaving. Elsa then turned back to Elliot "You ready?" She asked

"Are you?" He replied, before closing his eyes, and from there Elsa watched as her husband transformed into his true self, golden dust and all as the people around them looked on in awe and amazement, before he gave an announcing roar.

With Elsa on his back, Elliot flew north of Arendelle, the flaps of his wings sounding like punches of wind with each stroke. Below them the mountains stood tall, and on one of the peaks further up towards the highfells, Elliot noticed his father on a high peak, roaring to him in greeting before the older and much larger dragon replied with his much deeper vocals as they moved on.

On his back Elsa smiled brightly, made even brighter as Gale and the nature spirit, now nicknamed the Tree-sprite flew up on either side to greet them, the latter raining magic grass over them in a short display, before a certain hydra made himself know, flying up behind the pair with a wailing cry. The ninth spirit also noticed Bruni on his center head, and allowed a small cloud of snow to fly back at him, the fire spirit catching as many flakes as he could with his tongue.

Elliot then dived away from the spirits, the now green enchanted forest below them as evident by a few waving Northuldra and their reindeer, Yelana, Honeymaren and Ryder among them as Elsa waved back.

Soon the pair came upon the dark sea, a beautiful sunset over casting the now purified ahtohallen, the woman noticing the Nokk down below them as he gave a neigh. Elliot roared once more as he soared over the waters below them, into the sunset.

Elsa and Ellliot both gave one last emotional sigh, happiness and joy mixing in each of their vains. For at long last they were truly themselves, never to be apart from eachother, the friends and family they made, and the future of their very legacy soon to arrive, all the while no longer hounded by the demons of the past.

They were free.

End

Well now, after all of that, I can finally let something out of my chest.

WHY DID I FUCKING TAKE OVER A YEAR TO UPLOAD THIS SHIT LIKEOHMYFLUDGINGGODIAHHHHH!

'Long inhale of breath' I'm so sorry. But hey, if anything, at least I can call this a Christmas present to you guys.

So a lot of stuff to talk about, first being Elliot not dead. I guess you guys already knew I just couldn't kill him off like that. I already had this idea going on for his own spiritual journey of redemption, meeting his long dead ancestor, the god of dragons and Seikatsu from Retold. You might be wondering what she has anything to do with Elliot, but don't forget she is a goddess of life, so I personally don't see why she shouldn't have been involved. As for Elliots new weapons, I take them after the sentient sword Ingrid and the Draupnir spear from the new God of war Ragnarok, While his new armour mainly comes from the demigod armour from Assassin' creed Oydessey. Oh, and Iduna and Agnarr being alive after all this time? Yeah I know it screams continuity problems, that it makes no sense and you all might be even against it, but it's MY STORY DAMMIT, LEAVE ME ALONE!

Then there's that battle. In my whole writing career, I don't think I've ever written a battle that long or intense before, and maybe there were some parts I could've improved on, but I'm really proud by how it turned up. Yes, Zoe now commands a Mosasaurus of all creatures, I assure you all I only have one last custom move in mind, after that, it'll all be DK related. Aside from that, I hope I managed to get the point across just how powerful these new enemies are, both with the Orc army (Which I've referenced from the battle of the five armies, were-worms included) The hybrids, Including the one and only Indominus Rex and Indoraptor, the ones from the beginning of this story in case you couldn't guess, and finally Maleficent, who without going into a full power was able to defeat the majority of the D-teams dinosaurs by herself. And that was only a fraction of the power I have in mind for her, so yes. Shi from Retold could have himself a rival… or maybe a date? I dunno.

Finally, yes, the full nine spirits of the forest are here. Three of them, yes, Light is Tinkerbell from Peter pan, nature is the spring-sprite from fantasia 2000, and darkness is obviously King Ghidorah from king of the monsters, while the spirit of thunder is mainly based off of Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia. Call me lazy all you bozos want, but I'm very proud to have them all in this story.

Oh, and the song Elliot sang was the transformation song from brother bear, just in English rather than Balgarian (Though I like to imagine the original Choir in the background as Elliot sang it) And shout out for Spiny's Lord of the rings reference with 'Forth Eolingas'

I'll end it here by saying that despite appearances, this story isn't over. Merely going on to the next series if you like. Operation Hybrid. After one or two one shots that is.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all, peace!
