Graham is awoken the next morning with a kiss to his cheek. "Ace?"
"It better only be me."
"Only person whose lips I want on me is you."
"Good, I feel the same." Graham stands up and wraps Ace in his arms forgetting where he is and kisses her.
"Good morning Ace."
"Good morning Graham." Kate comes up to them.
"I heard that you wanted to talk to me." Kate asks Ace, looking at her.
"I did," Ace takes Graham's hand in hers as they follow Kate to her office.
"I assume this is due to the fact that neither of you want to feel like a prisoner. We did say you could join him Ace."
"I like to sleep in my own bed."
"She does have a comfortable bed."
"Okay?" Kate looks between the two. "I am thinking you are wanting to stay with Ace?"
"I am."
"I have a security system that is the best rated in the country, only a few people know where I live, less know the code."
"Who all knows your code?"
"Tegan, Nyssa, my brother, Liam and now Graham."
"How much do you trust your brother?"
"Liam," Graham starts to speak up, "is very protective of his sister. He would never do anything to hurt her." Ace is watching Graham as he defends her brother.
"What Graham is saying is true, he even went to Graham's the day after they met at the benefit and talked to him about me and his feelings and that we both should act on them."
"We need to make sure nothing happens to Graham."
"Nothing will happen to me, what you want me to work here until this is all over."
"Only if you want to."
"I want to stay at Ace's if I can't stay at me flat."
"I can't stop you, you are a grown up."
"Thank you," Graham looks to Ace who is picking up Graham's bag.
"Come on my love, you and I will have our nights together."
"Great," Graham's eyes shine with mischief.
"Meet me at my office?"
"I would meet you at the end of the earth."
"Let's hope we never have to do that." Graham sees that she parked right next to him and his heart skips a beat realizing that he will be seeing this for the foreseeable future. "Graham, are you ok?"
"I am just realizing that I will love this site, your car next to mine."
"Get used to it." Ace stops facing their cars Graham at her side, he faces her and grabs her hand to make her look at him.
"I more than plan to get used to it, I love seeing it."
"Good, me too," they share a smile and a small kiss before getting into their separate cars and making their way to A Charitable Earth.
They arrive seconds apart, but don't park together as Graham was still using the back entrance because Ace was warned about reporters.
"Ms. McShane, what is the guy's last name?"
"I am protecting him, and if he wants everyone to know his last name." Ace walks into her building and her office to see Graham already standing there.
"How bad where they," Graham can see Ace is a little distressed.
"Asking your last name."
"I will call Ryan and inform him that I am going to make sure everyone knows who I am, and that until everything blows over I will be staying with you."
"Are you sure?"
"As long as I am a permanent fixture in your life."
Ace wrapping her arms around his neck, "you are Graham O'Brien, as long as you want me."
"I should be saying that," he wraps his arms around her waist.
"My god you two, this is a place of business." Nyssa says as she enters the office.
"That reminds me," Ace unwraps one of her arms from Graham, "I made you a key," Ace reaches into her pocket to pull out a small golden key. "If you don't want to sit around here all day, you can go home."
"Home?"
"I mean my home."
"Ace, they say home is where the heart is, my heart is where you are, and Ryan."
"Have you called him yet?"
"No, I haven't."
"Go, call him. Tell him he is always welcome."
"I will," he smiles at her and gets out his phone.
"Hello Grandad." Graham starts to move around Ace's office as Ace starts her work.
"Morning Ryan. I wanted to call and inform you that while I am under threat, instead of feeling like a prisoner at UNIT, I will be staying at Ace's."
"I expected that to happen. You got serious about her quickly."
"I don't know about that, the two of us were dancing around each other's feelings for 6 months."
"After you admitted your feelings everything started to happen quickly." Graham looks over at Ace who has her head down reading some paperwork and smiles.
"We did, she wanted you to know if you ever want to come by for dinner or anything, you are always welcome."
"Are you going to marry her?"
Graham's eyes go wide as he chokes on some spit, which makes Ace look up at him and mouth 'are you ok' which he nods yes to, he leaves the room which makes Ace move an eyebrow up before looking back down at her work.
"We haven't talked about that yet, we may be ready for me to stay with her on a temporary basis."
"Or permanent, remember you and Nan didn't move that slow."
"I remember, and Ace and I know that life can be short."
"If you love her, which I know you do, ask if she sees the two of you in the future."
"I will after all if this is over."
"Ok."
"Would you like to have dinner with us one night? I want the two most important people to me to meet."
"I don't know."
"Just think about it."
"I will. Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"
"The next chance Ace and I get we will be telling reporters my last name."
"Ok?"
"Ace will also be going to court with what is going on."
"I had a feeling that would happen, are you ready for anyone to be digging everything up on you."
"I am, are you ok that there may be some people contacting you asking if you are still in contact with me."
"I knew this would eventually happen, you moving on from my Nan, and she would want this."
"I know."
"I got to go now, go be with Ace, and I will think about dinner with the two of you."
"Thank you Ryan."
"Bye Grandad."
"By Ryan," Graham hangs up the phone and heads back in.
