It been a day since Mettaton, and Bastion's duel happened, and everyone was in class again with Frisk focusing on class to focus while keeping her rematch with Chazz in mind to do today to prove she deserves to be within Duel Academy after Flowey, and the girls managed to help her regain her confidence. She has to wait until end of class to challenge him though.
"Now, as I was saying certain spell and trap cards benefit or hinder specific types of monsters... can anyone name an example of each? Bastion Misawa perhaps?" Dr. Crowler inquired turning to the Ra Yellow.
"Yes sir, The Normal Spell System Down which can-" A sudden snore caught his attention as they looked seeing near the entrance of the class was a certain Lazybones. After that sudden match it was decided anonymously among the monsters Sans would be with Frisk at her classes in case another situation like this would happen. Of course he couldn't help getting bored. While Frisk giggles from Sans' antics while Bastion blinked but tries to focus, "Uh, a-as I was saying System Down banishes all of the opponent's machine monsters, while the continuous trap Dragon Bead can make Dragons immune to traps."
"That's correct and..." Dr. Crowler started only for Sans to just keep snoring causing most of the students to turn to him instead of focus on the class.
"Sans." Frisk giggled louder from this not paying attention to the lesson.
"Miss Dreemurr, please wake your associate up so his incessant snoring will cease disrupting my class." Dr. Crowler stated clearly annoyed at Sans.
"Sorry Dr. Crowler." Frisk walked on up shaking Sans shoulder. "Sans, Sans?"
Deciding to tease her Sans made a louder snore. Frisk couldn't help but giggle more at that as Sans opened an eye. "what's up kiddo?"
"Sorry... but can you try not snoring so loud?" Frisk requested with a smile.
He smiled rubbing her head. "well, i can give it a shot, but you know how this bonehead echoes kiddo."
Sans winked at that before closing his eyes falling asleep again. Frisk turned over Dr. Crowler. "Sorry sir it just takes a skele-TON to keep him awake."
"Then perhaps... someone more alert could join you? Or Miss Dreemurr... perhaps at your age you don't need a babysitter in class?" Dr. Crowler questioned staring at her. "Perhaps you're too young to attend Duel Academy after all, you're more than welcome to return once you're a bit older of course."
"Sorry sir, Goat Mom, and Goat Dad just wanted to keep me safe in case something happens." Frisk apologized over to him. "Everyone else is probably too busy so Sans is the only one that can do it."
"And, he's not the only one sleeping." Bastion mentioned indicating Jaden and Syrus were asleep.
Dr. Crowler sighed in annoyance from this only for them to hear Sans' echoing snoring. Gritting his teeth he turned to the class. "Moving on!"
They tried getting class done while they kept on hearing the snores everyone tried ignoring over. Very soon the bell rang over signaling the end of class as Frisk shook Sans' shoulder. Opening an eye he grinned. "heya."
"Hey. Class is done." Frisk smiled which he nodded.
They turned to walk out only to hear a voice. "Hold it right there!"
"My family and friends have special permission to be here Dr. Crowler." Frisk explained to him.
"Still if he can't duel, and be lazy all the time he doesn't be present in the first place." Dr. Crowler said over towards her.
"huh, who said this lazybones can't duel?" Sans inquired curiously. "did you say that Frisk?"
"No." Frisk shook her head to answer. "You can prove it if it doesn't take too much effort." She gave a smile to his location.
"why not, that nap was a bone-afied good one so one duel couldn't hurt." Sans winked before stretching slightly. "then after that I might catch a few Z's. mind letting Paps and the others know?"
She giggled at this nodding before calling over her friends while Dr. Crowler stared over. "So you'll duel me then?"
"sure, when?" Sans asked.
"I'll give an hour to prepare." Dr. Crowler stated over towards him.
Sans nodded before grinning as he walked out with Frisk. "see you later kiddo, this lazybones needs to borrow a duel dusk from Alphys."
"Okay, I need to have a word with Goat Dad, and Goat Mom anyway." Frisk smiled over. "Just don't start without us."
"wouldn't dream of it kid." Sans smiled hugging her before walking off.
Frisk smiled as she walked off to find Asgore, and Toriel. After a while she found them sitting at the edge of the island looking at the water together... though there was still some clear tension between them since they weren't sitting super close together.
"Goat Mom, Goat Dad!" Frisk called over towards them walking over while waving.
"Oh Frisk, how are you?" Asgore smiled turning.
"You look happy my child did something exciting happen with Sans?" Toriel asked with a smile.
"Well he's gonna have a duel in an hour." Frisk answered over.
"Sans is dueling, that's something I would love to see." Asgore admitted only to pause. "Oh... but, what about you and that boy, Chazz?"
"I'll give him a rematch when that duel is done." Frisk answered before then smiling. "Oh, and, thanks for trying to get back together."
"It's for you my child, though... now that we're on the surface I suppose Asgore deserves one second chance." Toriel admitted only to sigh. "He's doing fair enough for now."
Frisk smiled over from that before then looking serious. "Well... we also still need to talk about Zodiark."
"Zodiark?" Asgore inquired before pausing. "Oh, the card you found?"
"Yeah. He awakened, and is giving me power. Dark magic power, and I want to know what you two know." Frisk explained over.
"Dark magic?" Toriel asked frowning as she got up and turned to Frisk. "My child, what exactly happened?"
"Well... it involves... him." Frisk stated over towards them.
Hearing that they both frowned but nodded listening to her. Frisk then explained over her dream the other night where she dreamt of them, and Asriel before it shifted over to where Chara tries to usurp her body. Then Zodiark awakened, and given her to power to face him in a duel to when she summons it, Chara recognizes him. After winning, Frisk was told that she is able to be Zodiark's master, and use dark magic telling her he was created by dark magic for a reason he does not know.
Listening to that Asgore and Toriel both looked confused.
"That... Frisk that doesn't make any sense, Chara never said anything about Duel Monsters while he was underground with us." Asgore frowned.
"So... how does he know it?" Frisk asked over confused as she agreed Duel Monsters wouldn't have existed back then but Chara must've known about him somehow.
"I'm not sure... do you mind if I take a look at the card?" Toriel asked her.
Frisk nodded looking through her Deck, and hands it to her. Taking the card Toriel looked at it before frowning. "Asgore, does this feel... familiar to you?"
Asgore looked it over to see as Frisk watches.
"You're right, not the card but this dark magic is definitely familiar." he frowned. "I can't tell if its malevolent though."
"So is it bad if I try practicing?" Frisk asked them.
"Not at all." Toriel smiled hugging her. "Just tell us if anything happens ok?"
Frisk smiled nodding hugging her back before turning over. "You two Goat Dad."
Asgore smiled hugging her. They hugged more as they chat before heading to the Duel Arena to watch Sans' duel with Dr. Crowler. They arrived to see several students in the stands with Dr. Crowler waiting impatiently.
"Oh, over here Frisk!" Mindy smiled waving to her.
They walked over as Frisk sat with the girls smiling over. "Hey girls. Sorry were you all waiting long?"
"No, we've only been here a few minutes." Alexis reassured her holding Flowey.
"Glad you can make it too Flowey." Frisk smiled over to Flowey.
"Whatever, any excuse to see that skeleton get put in his place." Flowey pouted before looking at the field. "Where is he anyway?"
As if on cue Sans appeared on the other side Duel Disk in hand with a lazy wave. "heya."
"were you waiting long?" he asked Dr. Crowler with a grin.
"I'd believe, I said an hour... you took an extra 5 minutes." Dr. Crowler stared in annoyance.
"sorry, does that mean detention? you mind if i take a nap there?" Sans chuckled as he put on the Duel Disk.
Dr. Crowler growled over activating his Duel Vest. "No matter, let's get this over with." His vest ejected his hand of five cards.
Sans drew his own cards. "so... mind if this lazybones goes first?"
"Yes." Dr. Crowler nodded.

Dr. Crowler grunted over setting a card. "Fine but it won't be useful." He handed his turn which triggers something from Sans.
"well... my White Stone of Ancients does have one tiny ability." Sans mentioned grinning. "during the end of the turn it goes the graveyard it lets me bring out something in its place."
"And what might that 'something' be?" Nobody notices Frisk grinning over while Dr. Crowler asks over knowing full well what's next.
"oh, nothing special just this little guy." Sans grinned. "I summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon in attack position."
The iconic dragon appeared roaring.

"He did?" one of Frisk's classmates that's a Ra Yellow (Dimitri if she remembered right). "And he had them for that skeleton?"
"Yeah, he did." Frisk nodded smiling.
"Well who cares this is really sweet! Seeing Blue-Eyes in person, and it against Teach's Golem!? Talk about a really epic match!" Jaden himself grinned over really excited by this unexpected development.
"Yeah, you're right Jaden." Syrus agreed.
"so... you ended your move right? that means it's my turn again?" Sans inquired with a grin.
Despite still being in shock at Blue-Eyes, Dr. Crowler grunted over. "That effect activated during my End Phase so what you think?"

Face to face with two legendary monsters so quickly, Dr. Crowler's confidence shook but he shook it off eager to take back the lead. "Fine, I draw!" He drew looking over his options.
"How can Dr. Crowler beat that legendary card?" an Obelisk Blue asked Chazz.
"Yeah, that's Kaiba's ultimate monster after all... with even more attack points than his god card." another Obelisk Blue pointed out.
"..." Chazz himself doesn't have an answer for that question as it's Kaiba's legendary card that is one of the symbols of Obelisk it's almost unbeatable.
Dr. Crowler checks over to see if he can do something to beat this legendary monster or at the very least take Sans down. Soon he gets an idea, and grinned over.
"I activate Ancient Gear Catapult!"

They noticed Sans looked relaxed. Dr. Crowler then added over. "And with Geartown destroyed, I can summon Ancient Gear Wyvern from my Deck!" Placing down a card what rose was a mechanical dragon roaring.

The Dragon charged a blast firing it destroying Ultimate Golem with ease as Dr. Crowler braced himself. "Well as Ancient Gear Tank was destroyed, you take 600 points of damage!"

From the destroyed remains of Ultimate Golem rose the original Gear Golem.

"Now I've grown tired of this." Dr. Crowler didn't look at his drawn card. "Gear Golem! Attack Dictator of D. with Mechanized Melee!"
Gear Golem readied itself against Dictator of D.
"wait a second, Dictator of D. has an ability." Sans mentioned. "since there's a Blue-Eyes on my field you don't pick who you attack, i do. so, Gear Golem why don't you attack someone more your size, like my dragon?"
"What?" Gear Golem shift it's attack to the dragon launching it over.
The new Blue-Eyes fired a blast destroying the weaker Gear Golem.

"Odds are... it's over for Dr. Crowler right?" Syrus asked over.
"Yeah, I think so... unless that last card can turn things around." Jaden agreed.

As the monsters faded Sans walked over and offered a hand. "no hard feelings bud?"
Dr. Crowler looked over before taking it. "I'll be keeping my mouth shut for you."
Sans nodded before yawning as he closed his eyes before to the awe of everyone he fell asleep starting to snore again. Frisk chuckled shaking her head before taking a breath raising up turning to Chazz who was about to leave. "Chazz Princeton!"
Hearing his name he turned to her. "What?"
She stared off with him before then declaring. "I challenge you to a rematch here, and now!"
That caused Chazz to pause. "You want a repeat of our last duel? Fine, I have a few minutes."
"Chazz you don't have to accept again. She's just hysterical." the glasses Obelisk said over to him.
"Yeah, you already proved she doesn't belong here. She's not worth your time." the tanned Obelisk agreed over to him. "Just let us handle her."
Chazz looked at her and remembering how devastated she was he frowned. "Give me one good reason to waste my time with you again?"
"I've improved better. You said I don't belong here cause Professor Yuzu didn't know my Deck but you didn't let me know your own which is why you won our last match." Frisk started to walk down. "Now we both know our Decks, and I'm ready for whatever else you throw at me. I'll prove I'm worth it here!"
Chazz flinched at that before looking at Frisk. "Alright, fine then why don't we set the terms. If I win, you and your Monster friends leave the island for good."
"And if I win?" Frisk asked him.
"What do you want?" Chazz asked her.
Frisk gives some thought over it before then saying over. "Okay I win, you respect anyone be it Slifer, or Ra. Everything deserves respect."
Chazz raised an eyebrow. "Fine."
They headed at the arena where Papyrus moved Sans as they prepared themselves again for this rematch.
"DUEL!" Chazz and Frisk called together.

The soldier geared only for Frisk to call. "Before that, I use there effects!"
The two Moldsmals shot a defensive barrier of slime around Toriel.
"See if two Moldsmals are on my field at the start of your battle, one monster can't be destroyed in battle, and any damage I take with it becomes 0!" Frisk explained over as the two Moldsmal armed themselves just as the Soldier destroyed the slime in Attack Position which destroyed it too.
Chazz frowned at that.
Infernal Incinerator: (ATK: 2900 - 200 + 500 = 3200)
"I end my turn."
"Hey why didn't he use Infernal Incinerator against that other Moldsmal?" the glasses Obelisk asked confused.
"Because, if he attacks a monster in defense mode he won't deal damage and Infernal Incinerator loses points." the tanned Obelisk pointed out. "Besides, it's not like she can handle a monster more powerful than the Ancient Gear Golem anyway."

"Alright my turn!" Frisk drew checking before calling. "And to start, I'll activate Underground Ruins' other effect!" The ruins glowed before Infernal Incinerator seemed to weaken.

"What!?" Chazz questioned in disbelief seeing that. "What happened to my monster?"
"There was a reason why I kept Goat Mom protected with Moldsmal." Frisk stated over to him as he turned over. "Underground Ruins' second effect allows us to pick a monster on your opponent's field to have them lose there attack points. After that if Goat Mom's on the field she gains 1000 points!"
Toriel glowed at this.
Toriel, Caregiver of Monsters: (ATK: 1200 + 1000 = 2200)
Chazz's eyes widened seeing that. "Your two monsters have 3400 points, and you haven't summoned anything yet this turn..."
Frisk checked her hand seeing she only has spells, and traps. No monsters to summon. "Well too bad I can't summon anything else."
Chazz frowned. "So I have one more turn at least."
"Okay Toriel attack Infernal Incinerator!"
Toriel charged a flame attack firing it at the giant monster. Chazz cried out as his only monster shattered.

"Your turn Moldsmal!"
Moldsmal shot slime over at Chazz.
Chazz cried out as he was hit.

"You got him girl!" Mindy cheered over with everyone looks shocked Frisk quickly turned the tables over.
"I've told you, I improved Chazz." Frisk said over towards him. "It won't be so easy to beat me this time." She sets two cards to end her turn.

They checked over as the glasses Obelisk turned over to the tanned one. "Chazz will figure a way will he?"
"Of course he can." Pushing aside some doubt he's feeling the tanned Obelisk confirmed over. "No matter what Chazz won't let a girl beat her."
Chazz looked at his card.
"I use Pot of Greed!" he called.

"Well now I use my face-down, The Great Papyrus!" Frisk activates a face-down as it shows of Papyrus engaging Frisk in combat.

"I would ask you the same." Frisk stated over towards him as she didn't add a Field Spell from Ruins' effect. "You didn't attack Goat Mom even though she's a bigger threat then Moldsmal. I don't know what your planning but I want to face your full strength."
Chazz frowned looking at his last card. "I set this and end my turn."
'I can't believe I'm being pushed to use that trap, but I am not losing to Frisk again... the moment she draws, Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai will sacrifice my Infernal Incinerator and wipe out the rest of her life points.'

"My turn, I draw!" Frisk drew looking over her drawn card seeing a Field Spell that has her holding a knife with Sans with several Gaster Blasters armed which she frowns over. 'I thought, I wouldn't use this...'
"Hold it, I use a trap card." Chazz called. "Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai tributes one Fire monster on my field and burns you for its original attack points. That's 2800 from my Infernal Incinerator!"

Infernal Incinerator turned to flames shooting over towards Frisk who looked surprised before quickly activating her face-down. "I use my face-down! Destroying the RESET Button!" A image of her with Chara looming behind her with the RESET Button in front of her as she looks to be contemplating to destroy or seal it.

The RESET Button appeared as Toriel charged a fireball firing it which destroyed it only for red shards to fire at the two. Chazz's eyes widened as the shards hit him and Frisk.

"A... tie?" Syrus asked surprised from this outcome.
"Wait so... what happens now?" Mindy asked turning to Alexis. "Frisk doesn't leave does she?"
"Yeah she doesn't leave." Alexis answered over from this. "Still this surprised me."
"Well, at least she gets to stay here." Jasmine smiled. "We should do something to celebrate... a dip in the hotsprings?"
"Oh yeah I could go for that." Mindy smiled over at that. "Frisk will love em!"
Alexis only smiled at that.
Ulrich362: A DRAW... well it's better than last time, and Frisk definitely had the upper hand in this rematch with Chazz.
bopdog111: Still why didn't Chazz attack Toriel as it was the bigger threat at that time?
Ulrich362: Probably to deal enough damage. Toriel's ATK was 2200 so Spiritual Fire Art wouldn't have been enough damage to win.
