No one remembered her birthday. Not even her.
"Wait…" She squinted her eyes trying to figure out what day it was. "Is today the 20th?"
"No." a kid answered pointing to a calendar showing the 20th crossed out. "Today's the 21st."
"Oh, ok. Now… where were we? Oh, right we were going to read The bamboo cutter and the moon child." She held up the book with a smile. "My favorite book," she whispered, tracing her fingers along the edge of the book before slowly opening it.
Yukino's POV
Making my way back to base. I glanced down at the plant that I was sent to collect. It wasn't rare nor was it valuable, it was nothing more than just a couple of flowers that grew in great quantities in some foreign land. But I had a particular guess as to what this mission was all about considering that a particular shinobi was at my tail since the moment I left the base.
Hearing the sky rumble I glanced up seeing the heavy grey clouds. Stopping to open my umbrella I continued walking towards Amegakure remembering how I got here.
As always I spent most of my time in the infirmary though this time I was finding antidotes to the poisons that Sasori left behind. Sensing someone approaching I hid my research and waited until Pein walked into the room. He showed me a picture of the plant I was to find along with information on where I could find it.
The land of waves.
Since it was a growing trading area it meant that it was the only area close enough to have that flower. But if Pein had told me to travel to such foreign land I would've gone not of obedience but of pure curiosity. Though that didn't end up being the case I was still more than happy so without missing a beat I accepted.
Feeling my lips curve I placed my hand over it to cover the creeping smile as I remembered what happened once I got there.

Flashback
Reaching the land of waves I crossed the grand bridge connecting the land of fire to the land of waves. In awe at the change from the last time I was here, I was impressed. 'The Great Naruto bridge.' I nodded in approval of the name. 'Of course, Naruto would get his name on something like this. For your first big mission, you must've left quite the impression.'
Making my way to the port I looked around keeping a mental note on the things being sold just in case there would come a time where I would need something. Either that or if anyone I knew wanted something.
Arriving at a flower shop by the port I bought the flowers. Crossing out the task, I wandered around looking for a particular ship.
Spotting said ship I glanced up seeing a flag with a whirlpool patterned flag on it. So looking around the area for a stand bearing a banner with the same design I saw it and so did the owners of the stand who sent a smile. Walking over I saw the fish display as well as a couple of pearls. Talking to them for a bit about business while pretending to be interested in the pearls I learned bits of news from back home.
"Yukino-san if I may point out…" the man put on a smile showing me a specific fish. "The man in the red clouded cloak seems to have found a rose of interest." He said using the nickname those on the island have begun using. Though how it came to be, I'm not so sure.
"Ah, yeah I know. It's his mission." I told him with a nod seeming interested in the fish. "I think."
"Alright. Be careful. Everyone awaits your return like the rising sun."
"You should be a poet, not a fisherman." I sighed.
"I am when I'm not fishing." He said, taking out a small book from his back pocket.
Handing it, I opened it reading the first few poems and haiku. "It's actually really good." I handed it back. "You guys take care, I still need to finish this mission." Leaving the stand, I walked back towards the bridge knowing that I still had a long journey back to the land of rain.

Shaking my head I sighed hoping that they return safely to the island on Friday. 'It was Monday to Friday right? Or was it–' Crack! Snapping my eyes open I glanced down as the dirt under my foot crumbled and fell towards the side of the steep slope to my side. Tipping to the side I slid towards the steep incline. Umbrella in one hand and flowers in another I held in a shriek as my feet moved to try to find balance.
Activating my eyes I quickly placed the flowers on the library floor. Reaching for the portal one of my legs caught on something making me lose my balance and miss my chance to grab it. Seeing the branchy path ahead I let go of my umbrella, covering my face I curled up creating adamantine chains to wrap around my body protecting it from harm.
Waiting for it to slow down just enough I unwrapped the chains and made them grasp onto anything close by. Jolting to a stop I gasped as I saw a bare tree right in front of me. Looking down I gulped seeing the sharp branch an inch away from my stomach. Grabbing the branch with one hand I chopped off the pointy branch with the other hoping that I was the first one to come across it. Unwrapping my chains from the nearby trees I returned them to me as I landed on the tilted tree, exhaling with relief.
However, that was short-lived. The roots of the tree were unearthed due to all the rain causing me to slide down the rest of the slope on it. Seeing a small dropping ahead I jumped off the barren excuse for a tree onto the wet ground.
Sighing I rolled to my side for a small breather. Crack! Eyes widening for a second I couldn't believe the day this would be. Falling once again I attempted to grasp the closest tree roots only for my arm to be grabbed first. Looking up I could see the blurry figure of Itachi as the rain continued to pour on my face. °Thank you.° I told him looking down to see the river right under me. Waving my dangling arm I made a platform to stand on and raised myself with his aid.
"Are you alright?" He asked as he opened the umbrella I let go of a couple of trees back.
"Yeah," I sighed. Seeing my dirt-covered clothes and legs. "Thank you. But weren't you back at the base?" I asked, reminding him of his mission.
"I…" he faltered. "I was given the mission to tail you."
"I guess they finally caught on to my behavior." I sighed wondering what to do now. Crossing my arms I closed my eyes as plans flooded my mind of the steps I could take once I returned.
"–Yukino." I felt a slight nudge snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hm?"
"You're going to get sick like this. Let's find shelter for now." He held his hand out as the rain continued to pour around us.
・・・
Once we began walking I noticed the slight limp in his step. "Are you okay?" I asked him.
"It's nothing serious."
"Itachi." I sighed as if that would really convince me. Gathering some of the falling rain I made it into a cast for his ankle. "I will also be taking this," I took the umbrella from his hands and when I did I noticed something in between the rocks. "Look!" I pointed to an opening partially hidden by vegetation.
"Do you think it might be big enough?"
"I'll go check." I handed him the umbrella as I made my way to it pushing the branches in my way aside. Entering inside I looked inside making sure it didn't lead deeper inside and that there was no animal inhabiting it. Once cleared I went back outside and helped him into the cave.
Opening a portal I took out dry wood and began a small campfire that should last for a couple of hours. Looking back my eyes went to the cast I had made. "It's best to have your ankle examined at a hospital."
"?"
Turning the ice cast back into water I threw it outside along with the water that had soaked him from following me down the hill. "It's time you visit Uzushio," I mumbled as I reached for his hand, placing a seal on his wrist that would allow him to pass through the barrier. Holding his hands I activated my Getsugan and opened a portal to Uzushio's hospital. "In we go." I pulled him into the lobby.
Standing in the quiet and empty lobby. I looked around seeing someone at the front desk writing things down. Going up to them I asked for a check-up and they told me to go to a room and they'll send a doctor to check it. Looking back I saw that he had removed his cloak and now held it in his arms.
・・・
Going to the room it didn't take long for the doctor to arrive. Once he did he jumped in surprise reminding me that I was still possibly covered in mud. "I'm going to the bathroom." I scurried out of the room.
Almost scaring myself when looking at the mirror I quickly took off the mud on myself. Feeling my face heat up from the embarrassment of being seen like that I leaned against the sink wondering why the person at the front desk didn't say anything.
Knock knock. "Yukino-san," A voice called out my name from outside the bathroom.
Opening the door I saw a nurse who sighed with relief. "I'm glad to have found you. Nori-san has been looking for you. It seems urgent," he spoke in a soft quiet voice.
"Where is he right now?"
"He was in the waiting area a floor down."
"Alright, thank you," I told him as I was about to take a step towards the staircase. Remembering Itachi I quickly walked back to the room and knocked. "Come in." I heard the doctor say.
Sliding the door open I quickly spoke. "Someone's looking for me so I will be downstairs in the waiting area. You can wander just don't leave the city. Bye~" Closing the door quickly I sped walked to the staircase so I wouldn't be yelled for running.
Hurriedly going down the stairs I was able to catch Nori-san on his way down. "Nori-san!"
"Yukino! I didn't know you'd actually be here." He smiled with relief.
"I heard you were looking for me?"
"I was." He walked back up the stairs meeting me on the floor level. "Are you familiar with the traditional wedding ceremony?"
"Yes…" I sighed remembering the make-believes that the twins would make me go through. 'Were they preparing me for the actual thing?'
"Great. We were going to perform the ceremony today for those who were unfamiliar with it but then our fake bride broke her leg. Kichi offered to take her place but she will be helping with the ceremony."
"A fake wedding…" I hummed interested. "I will gladly do it." I accepted without hesitation.
"Good because Kichi and I are the only ones who know how it's done and everyone else at the shrine is counting on this performance to perform future actual weddings." He let out a quiet tired laugh.
"So at what time is the ceremony happening."
"Two hours. I'm heading back right now." Opening a portal to the shrine he looked surprised and smiled. "Thank you. See you soon." He crossed to the other side and the moment he did he was surrounded by miko and clergy who had questions.
3rd POV
With Yukino leaving in a hurry to the bathroom Itachi was left alone with the doctor. Who asked simple questions.
Kneeling down the doctor's hands glowed green as he tried to see how the injury to his ankle was. "Good news. You don't need a cast. If you want I can heal it for you."
With a simple nod, the doctor took in a deep breath and focused on the injury like he was taught by his serene mentor. Who always carried a flower in her dark hair. The very thought of her always brought the clarity of mind he and his peers needed. "Done." The glow of his hands faded as he slowly exhaled.
Cough! Jumping in surprise at the raspy cough he looked up to see blood on his patient's hand.
Getting up he was about to run out of the room to call for the girl taught by his mentor only to be pulled back. "You can't tell her." He said breathing heavily before coughing once again.
"I–" Looking towards the door hesitantly he sighed knowing of the oath he took. "I… if that is your wish. There is a bathroom here so clean up before she returns if you intend to tell her yourself." He pointed to the other door in the room.
Sitting down he sat down quietly as he could hear the coughs on the other side of the door. Once he returned and took the same seat he was in before. Standing up the doctor handed him a reference to his mentor. "Misa-san trained me and every doctor and nurse on this island. She spends most of her time at the shrine. I suggest talking to her if anyone can help it could be her."
Hearing a knock they both jumped turning to look at the door. "Come in." He said calmly.
Slam! Standing on the other side of the door stood that same girl taught by his mentor. Cleaner now than she had just been minutes ago. "Someone's looking for me so I will be downstairs in the waiting area. You can wander just don't leave the city. Bye~" She said as quickly as she came. Partially closing the door on her quick exit.
"Where is this shrine?" The raven-haired man asked.
"It's not that far on foot."
The shrine
Arriving at the shrine first Yukino looked around for Kichi who would know about what to do. "Yukino-chan!" she yelled, spotting the young blonde first. "Nori-kun told me. Hurry we have to dress you up." Grabbing on to her shoulders the azure eyed girl was guided to a room connecting to the shrine. "There's a shower so clean yourself and just put on a shirt and pants. I'll be back in 10 minutes." Kichi ordered before closing the door.
At the same time near the steps of the shrine, Itachi looked around seeing people run around in a panic. Walking into the shrine itself he looked around feeling nostalgia try to get a hold of him. As the shrine brought back memories of his own past, both good and bad. Shaking his head he wandered the halls looking for the doctor Misa-san.
Stopping at a particular door he sensed strong chakra on the other side. Knocking a couple of times he opened the door seeing a black fox sleeping inside laying beside a vibrant hair ornament resembling a flower.
"Forgive me." He said without a second thought, causing the fox to wake up and stare at him with curiosity. Closing the door he turned around meeting the eyes of one of the shrine keepers.
"You must be the groom!" they exclaimed catching the attention of those nearby who echoed those same words.
Not so far from Itachi, Yukino had just finished dressing up when Nori barged in with a couple of Miko behind him. "Forgive me. I should have knocked. Are you ready?"
"I am."
"Good. Before we can put you in the dress we have to put on you some padding."
"Some what?" She asked as they started putting padding on her to get the shape of the dress on her. Glancing at the mirror beside her she felt weird and just stayed still for a couple of minutes letting them do their thing.
Once done she sighed feeling happy that they were done. "Now we put the nagajuban." Nori said handing over the white undergarment to his assistants who put it on her as swiftly and carefully as possible.
About to think that was it she remembered how the dress looked and realized that there were more layers to go. 'At least its fall,' she told herself.
Slam! Jumping in surprise everyone looked at the door seeing Kichi as she burst in. "Nori-kun the fake groom called in sick."
"But… there is only an hour until the ceremony begins. She isn't even dressed." He sighed as something struck him. "Wait. Kaito-san must know he's already in the city. I'll go ask him." He said ready to run.
"The fake groom is here!" They heard someone yell clearly.
"The what?" Kichi asked, opening the doors to see for herself.
With clear surprise in their faces both the raven-haired man and the azured eyed girl stared at each other not knowing that the other would be here.
"That's not the groom." Nori sighed. "I'm very sorry sir. Kichi finish here I'm going to look for Kaito-san to take the groom's place–"
"Wait you wouldn't happen to know how a traditional wedding is right?" Kichi cut Nori as he was about to finish.
"I do."
"Really?! Perfect." Nori excitedly exclaimed. "Kichi, get the hakama. I'm going to see if everything is ready in the pavilion."
・・・
Standing still, Yukino let the shrine maidens put on her the kakeshita. Trying to breathe she could feel the wraps have a tight grip on her with every inhale she took. Trying to calm herself she heard the sound of rustling pages making her eyes snap to the side. Within her visual range, she was able to see the Miko trying to figure out how a certain knot went.
The door opened causing her to look at the mirror as Kichi entered, with Itachi following her. "Found it!" Kichi sang holding up a box.
"Yay!" She cheered as best as she could without moving.
With a smile, Kichi placed down the box and led Itachi to a small boxed out area with a mirror. "Let's start!"
・・・
After a while of silence, Yukino spoke first. "Itachi, how did you end up here?"
"I was told you were here." He replied, lying that he was actually here to see the medical-nin called Misa-san.
"Really? I don't remember telling anyone. I took one of my portals here to not cause a ruckus." She frowned as she looked back closely to who might've heard her and Nori's conversation back at the staircase.
"Ruckus?"
"Yukino-chan isn't here most of the time but when she is she's bombarded with questions and requests from everyone," Kichi answered before she could. "Oh, Yukino-chan did I tell you that Emi and Ryota-kun would be here?"
"Really?"
"Yes, really. They've been working hard lately by the cove." Kichi smiled, finishing the last knots on Itachi's hakama. "Alright. I'm going to look for the haori." Leaving the room calmer than the last time she left, the door closed with a small and light thud.
Gently and with order the Miko placed brushes and combs on a table. Gesturing for the azure eyed girl to close her eyes she obeyed. Pulling her hair back they worked simultaneously on her hair and face.
Finished by the time Kichi returned the girl opened her eyes amazed by what they did. Looking at her face she noticed the light blush on her cheeks and the red tint given to her lips. Looking up at her head she lightly tapped the flower ornament on her head. Her hair was tied in a romantic tuck drawing some attention to the red bangs that framed her face. Smiling at her reflection she noticed the Uzumaki crest on the fan placed on her obi.
Touching it with curiosity she turned to the side noticing on one of the mirrors, the crest on the dress's back. "This is odd…" she whispered, turning around just as Kichi finished putting the haori on the raven-haired man. "Kichi? Why does it have the Uchiha crest?" She pointed to the crest on the haori Itachi was now wearing.
"Itachi-san is an Uchiha, isn't he? Also, I embroidered every clan crest on the haori's that were made for this occasion," Kichi-san shrugged.
Snapping her fingers Yukino remembered the bit of information that slipped her mind. "Oh, right when you asked for an update on current clans!"
"Exactly. Our information was outdated," She turned to Itachi and patted his arm telling him that he was free to rest. "Oh, Yukino! Before I forget again the jeweler said that your request has been completed."
Suddenly the door opened showing Nori on the other side. "The preparations are done and the guests have arrived. Are you ready?"
Ryota's POV
Accepting the invitation that Nori sent ahead of time I wanted to skip the event but Emi was able to convince me to go. Arriving as the procession was moving to the pavilion we picked up the pace to catch up.
"I wonder if Yukino got the invite. She wouldn't pass up the chance to see this." I quietly whispered to Emi when I saw a small glance at the fake groom and bride.
"Too bad she's busy she'll be upset once she finds out."
"True. So let's remember this for her." I told her as we were approaching the pavilion. From where I stood I tried to see the bride's face but couldn't due to the white head thingy she was wearing. The groom on the other hand seemed familiar. Then again this island didn't have that many inhabitants so maybe we crossed paths at some point.
Entering the pavilion we all took our spots as shown on the invitation. Taking a quick glance around the room I noticed those that worked in the shrine, which was normal, and the heads of certain clans as well. Some of them seemed interested in what was happening while others were staring judgingly at the ceremony. Straightening up I pressed my lips together as I was aware of the stares directed at the poor pair who were just doing this as a presentation for them. Feeling a slight nudge I glanced at Emi who shifted her eyes to the front. Doing so I hid my surprise as I saw the Uchiha crest on the Haori the fake groom wore.
°That's Itachi Uchiha… right?° She asked with uncertainty.
°Yeah.° I confirmed her guess. 'What is he doing here? Wait does that mean that Yukino is here on the island?' I asked myself, trying to look around as discreetly as I could seeing only those I already saw. Looking to my side I noticed Emi's eyes shine as they were focused on the presentation. Staying still in my seat I did the same watching the presentation for the friend who couldn't attend.
・・・
Clap! Clap!
"That concludes the presentation," Kichi spoke on Nori's behalf as he took the items to store once again. "Please thank Itachi-san and our beautiful rose for their time."
'Rose?' The two turned around and as they did I gasped seeing the fake bride's face. "Yukino?" I said as quietly as a mouse.
The two bowed to the audience and turned their heads back to each other. They looked at each other with mirrored smiles as if they were the only ones in this room even though everyone was getting up and moving around them. Blinking rapidly as if remembering where they were Yukino's face flushed lightly making her avert her eyes to the ground. While Itachi reached for her hand taking advantage of the wavy sleeves of their clothing. Her eyes widened for a split second before relaxing and accepting the gesture with a firm grasp. Looking back at him her lips formed a smirk after a few seconds they both quietly laughed as words unknown to me were exchanged.
Feeling my heart tighten at the secretive act of affection I felt a bit of envy. 'I wonder how it must feel…' I thought as my eyes drifted to the woman beside me. Her vibrant emerald eyes that were glued to the pair noticed me and we both looked at each other. "We shouldn't tease them." I smiled. 'What am I thinking?' I silently sighed.
Tensing up I turned around as I realized Misa-san had walked right past me with such stealthiness that I didn't notice. She walked right up to Yukino who smiled brightly upon seeing her mentor.
"Misa-san!" She exclaimed, extending one hand to swing the other with. "It's been so long. I heard that you were behind the expansion of Kairi's greenhouse." Nodding to whatever Misa-san was saying she gasped. "Really?" To which the other nodded in response.
The conversation continued for a while and it was pretty one-sided but everyone in the room knew of Misa-san's unorthodox way of communication.
"Ryota, we should talk to Itachi-san. Since Yukino's distracted by Misa-san." Emi suggested as she gestured to Itachi who stood by Yukino listening to the one-sided conversation.
"Good idea."
Waltzing over to Itachi I wrapped my arm around his, "Hi Yukino," I quickly said as I pulled him away with a spin. Emi sheepishly smiled and followed.
Dragging him outside I pushed him against the wall, slamming my hand right next to him. "You look really good in this," I said, holding the little pom pom on his haori in my hand.
"Ryota, no." Emi sighed her face with a bright pink shade as she saw something that I didn't. "Were sorry Itachi-san." She moved my hands. "I wanted to ask this privately so Yukino doesn't feel forced but how long will you two remain here? If not for long do you know the next time she'll be free? It seems that lately, her visits have become shorter and shorter." Emi asked, keeping an eye on the door.
"Pein has begun to suspect her. More so recently with the recent deaths of two members."
"I see." She nodded. "She will figure a way to fix this I'm sure." She smiled and turned around heading back inside. With a small wave, she returned to the inside of the pavilion where the others remained.
"Hey, Itachi you haven't seen the city yet have you?"
・・・
Standing in front of the small jewelry store I wondered why, of all places on the island, he wanted to visit this place. "Are you sure you don't want to visit the plaza? Or the cove? Or even the beach?" I asked following behind him as he entered the store first.
"No. I've been meaning to visit one for a while now." He said opening the door as the ringing of the small bell announced our presence to the store owner who sat in silence while reading a book.
Looking up the owner smiled saying a soft, "Welcome if there's anything you need ask," they said returning to their book.
Giving the store one good glance I noticed the hanging plants by the windows and giving this place an almost homely look if it weren't for the glass display cases full of glittering gemstones. Like a crow, I was drawn to a sparkling red ruby and looked at the gold bracelet with the red gemstone on it. 'I should buy this, it would look great on me.' I said extending my hand to reflect my hand on the glass. Surprised I was satisfied knowing I was right. It would look great on me.
"Yukino's necklace is platinum isn't it?" Itachi asked suddenly.
"Yeah. Just the chain though the previous chain was silver and it broke." I explained as I looked at the rest of the jewelry on display. 'Did Yukino's necklace break again? The last time that happened was years ago.' Just as I thought that I noticed a sign on the wall saying in clear bold letters. We do custom jewelry. You say it, we make it. 'I should remember this for future reference.' I hummed.
"I'm done," Itachi said heading towards the door. Hearing the bell ring I realized he was leaving me behind.
"Wait…" I whined following after him.
3rd POV
Giving up after seeing that Itachi wasn't interested in a tour Ryota guided him back to the shrine where Yukino would be waiting.
Having the makeup and dress removed she was once again in her shinobi clothes. The same one that a majority of the island residents have seen her in and recognized her by.
In the case that her friends came back looking for her she decided to remain at the shrine and wait. Sitting under a ginkgo tree she held in her hands a small box that she picked up from the jeweler inside would be the object she had waited to get. Opening the small box she picked up the platinum ring. With a smile, she held it up letting the sunlight reflect off the sturdy metal. The ring was ordinary at first glance but when you looked inside you could see the careful carving of the Uchiha crest.
Looking to her side she patted the jar full of paper stars. 1314 colorful stars in total. With this ring and the jar, she would make a promise. Sensing someone approaching she stood up to look around the tree, seeing the person she was waiting for. "Itachi…" She said as her heart skipped a beat. Picking up the jar she held it close and met him halfway.
Instead of waiting for a right moment she just decided to speak what she felt. "In the nights when I felt alone or bored I made these stars to bring me comfort or to entertain me." She looked down at the jar. "But once you began to love me I no longer felt the need to make them because I had you. Don't get me wrong there are times when I feel lonely but it's not as bad as it was back then." She shrugged. "I realize now that I don't need a jar…" She placed the colorful jar on the ground. "Wait. I'm getting off-topic." With a sigh, she took out the ring. "As a promise from me. No matter what I will always love you." She held out the ring with a face as red as her bangs. "I-it's a promise ring just to clarify."
Smiling he let out a small laugh. The other tilted her head lightly to the side in confusion, her red face returning to her original color. Before she could misunderstand he took out a ring from his pockets. "I thought I was the only one," he said, slipping the ring into her left ring finger.
Staring at the ring in surprise she laughed as well. "We match then." She smiled brightly as she placed the ring on his finger.
"We do…" he smiled, closing his eyes. Leaning forward he nestled his head on her shoulder hearing her soft laughter. "I love–"
"Oh, Yukino~" a red-haired boy sang, approaching the couple. With a sigh, the raven-haired man pulled himself away from his spot of comfort to greet her friend. "Yukino, there's a meeting tomorrow by the training grounds at eight. Also, I contacted the eastern inn and reversed a room for you two." Ryota smiled and spun around. "Bye, don't be late~"
"Oh, it really is getting late." Yukino gasped as she looked up at the orange sky. Walking towards the entrance she grabbed his hand as she passed him, leading him in the direction of the inn.
・・・
Picking the rest of their belongings from the shrine they arrived at the inn on foot by the time the sun had set.
The moment they saw the room Yukino left going for the onsen first. Following her example Itachi did the same, the former appreciating the calmness of the island. 'A place filled with worry-free residents who seemed cut off from the outside.' He thought as he glanced down at his wrist where Yukino placed the seal that was no longer visible.
Wearing the yukata provided he returned to the room noticing his lover's absence. Picking up his folded clothes he walked towards the drawers and opened one. Eyes widening he shut it quickly opening another drawer and shutting it quickly as well. Trying a third drawer he found it empty and placed his stuff inside. Closing the doors to the room he stood there wondering if what he saw was real.
Glancing at the door leading outside he opened the doors behind him and walked back to the second drawer. Opening it he took the book with him as he sat in the balcony closing the sliding doors enough. Sitting down he flipped through it carefully.
A couple of minutes passed and Yukino returned hearing the silence of the room. Sensing her lover sitting in the balcony she decided to not announce her presence. Noticing a drawer in the room partially closed she walked towards it and opened it. To her surprise, she recognized the things inside.
'I remember reading about this in Icha Icha violence.' She thought as she took out a whip. Curiously she placed it back and took out a rope. "My... some people are into some really kinky stuff." She said sensing her boyfriend open the balcony door.
"I…" He didn't know how to respond to that as he hid the sex book behind himself.
"Itachi." She smiled, closing her eyes like the foxes in the many paintings she's seen. "I know this may be a selfish request but… do you want to have sex with me?"
Taken by surprise of her sudden question his breath hitched as impure thoughts flooded his mind. It might have been partially influenced by the book he just read. But he couldn't deny that this wasn't the first time his brain had created such ideas of the woman he was dating. Every time he did though he pushed them back feeling shame for thinking something like that of someone who had never acted in such a way.
"Itachi?" She asked, waving her hand in front of his race as he had zoned out for a couple of minutes. "Do you want to do it?" She asked once again.
Looking at her he could see her blurry features even though she wasn't standing that far from him. Something he hadn't told her and wouldn't worry her with. "Yes." He whispered leaning closer to see her better.
"Me too." She smiled pulling on his yukata and kissing him.
Lemon Warning
Sitting across each other on the futon. They both stared at each other waiting to see who would make the first move.
Being more braver of the two she took initiative and kissed him. As the kiss heated up she moaned, tracing her hands down to his belt holding the yukata closed.
Knowing what she was attempting to do he pulled back whispering huskily into her ear. "You'll feel it later."
"Oh, really?" She smirked, rubbing the member through his clothes. "I think I already did."
Pinned to the bed she looked up at him with surprise. "There's no need to rush," Itachi told her, caressing her cheek.
"Fine," she sighed.
Lowering himself he began planting kisses along her nape causing her to tense up. Her heart began to pound loudly in her ears as she let out a small moan when his lips touched her collarbone.
Seeing her close her eyes he continued making each kiss longer than the last. Looking down at her neck he saw the markings on her, causing his member to become excited.
Lowering his hand into her yukata he slipped a hand inside cupping her breast. Arching into his touch he took the opportunity to unclip her bra. Throwing it to his side he continued to fondle the breast that fit perfectly into his hand.
"Itachi…" she groaned. Standing abruptly she took control and sat on top of him. Yukata draping off her shoulder exposing her breasts she didn't mind as her hand wandered down pulling down his undergarment with just a finger.
"Yukino?"
"Enough with the foreplay. I want you." She smiled, but unlike all the other smiles before this one was full of lust and hunger. Leaning in close she bit his neck gently placing light kisses on the area.
Letting her do this he sighed as he felt her warmth closer than he had ever before. Feeling something touch his member he glanced down as she began lowering herself on him.
With the position, they were in, she let gravity aid her as she let his member thrust into her. Overwhelmed by the fact that a penis was inside of her she shakily clung onto Itachi waiting for a moment to adjust to the feeling.
The other party surprised by the sudden action held them close, restraining themselves from moving in the slightest. After a while she whispered close to his ear. "Please move." Sending an excited shiver throughout their body.
Rolling her onto her back once again he began to slowly move, thrusting his hard member up to the hilt. Their moans filled the room as did his member in her. Matching his slow and deep thrusts, Yukino wanted more. Pulling his head down she kissed him, slipping her tongue into his mouth for a desperate and heated kiss.
Thrusting harder in response she continued until she pulled away for air. Breathing in heavily she looked up at the ceiling beginning to see stars.
Itachi seeing her fall back onto the futon slowed down and as he did he noticed the scar on her left side that had been covered previously. Tracing the scar gently, regret-filled him as he couldn't save her that night she got it. The images of her laying on the cold stone path brought regret.
Feeling her body tremble underneath him his mind returned to the scene before him as she laid exposed with her legs spread open just for him. Laying on top of her he could hear her heart as it beat rapidly because of him. Feeling her legs wrap around him he felt her tremble more as she was close.
"I love you." He shakily whispered in between thrusts. Nearing his own climax he tried to pull away only to be held in place by the other's tight grasp.
"I love you too." She responded not letting go as he released inside her. When he did her grip loosened allowing him to take out his member.
"Yukino?" He asked, noticing her passed out already rolling to her side to sleep. Tired as well he laid down beside her pulling the covers over both of them. Reaching out he pulled her close wrapping his arms around her and letting her heartbeats lull him to sleep.
Lemon Warning End
?: Couldn't you leave that part out?
Yukino: No, you're the nosy one who wants to know everything.
?: Then let's just stop here.
Yukino: No. *I pushed him back down on his seat.* You wanted to hear my story. So now you are getting all of it.
Waking up first she sat up seeing the morning light coming through the window. Stretching her arms up she felt more tired than she had this entire year. But it was nothing a little healing couldn't fix. Adjusting her yukata she was about to stand up when an arm wrapped around her.
"Morning." She smiled.
Shuffling he placed his head on her lap wanting her to stay for a while longer. Remembering suddenly what happened the night prior he groaned. "I'm sorry for not pulling out."
"Hm… It's fine." She hummed passing her fingers through his hair. "I wanted to experience that at some point."
"Can we stay like this for a bit?" He asked, closing his eyes wanting to hold off taking the medicine for just a bit. As the idea of a normal life began to seep its claws into his mind. 'What if?' He asked himself wanting more of this life she was showing him.
"Okay." She agreed, bringing his attention back to her. "But only for a while. I'm sweaty and I want to wash it off," she sighed as she grabbed a strand of hair to play with. "Unless you want a second round?"
Yukino's POV
We didn't have a second round. I wanted to but he felt tired. So after spending the morning together I went to take a bath. Remembering the meeting mid bath I freaked out for a while before deciding to just finish what I was doing and portal to the meeting.
Creating a portal to the training grounds. I immediately sensed my teammates. With Itachi following me I moved around the trees trying to see them. Spotting Ryota first I stealthily sneaked up behind him. Grabbing his head I gave his forehead a quick peck.
"Nee-san I told you to stop doing that." Rubbing his forehead he froze and covered his mouth. His face increased several shades of red and his face steamed in embarrassment. Crouching on the ground he curled up hiding his face.
"You know I'm younger than you right?" I laughed seeing this new side to him.
"I know. I just forgot for a moment." He grumbled hiding his red face but not his bright red ears.
"Where's Emi?"
"She was hoping to find you first." He stood up, clearing his throat. Closing his eyes he went silent for a moment before opening them. "Either way you're late."
"Sorry. I forgot."
"You don't forget."
"You know what I mean. It slipped my mind." I sighed, noticing Ryota having a private mental conversation with Itachi. They both shared a nod with Ryota giving a thumbs-up as if understanding. Confused as to what they were talking about I didn't barge into their link.
Ryota, noticing my confused glance perked up. "Hey, where'd you get those bruises." He poked my neck with quick successive pokes.
Realizing what it could be I covered it, embarrassed. "Oh, it's just a mosquito bite."
"But it's the end of fall."
"Yukino!" Emi exclaimed jumping down from the trees above. "You arrived and so did you Itachi-san." She nodded. "Yukino before you leave you need to know that a couple of days ago it was decided that the sensei would gather a month from now to compare their student's progress."
"Yeah…" Ryota sighed. "They also agreed that anyone failing to meet certain expectations would have to be reevaluated either as a student or sensei."
Sighing I pinched the bridge of my nose knowing that this would have to have happened eventually. "I'll take care of it. I'll make sure no one is kicked out." I extended my hands out as if trying to physically smooth out the issue. 'I hope.'
"Yukino. We've been gone too long from the mainland." Itachi noted.
"Yeah, you two should return." Ryota agreed.
"True." Hugging my two friends I patted their heads. "See you soon."
Opening a portal to my garden, Itachi entered first. "Be careful," Emi reminded me of the thing I already knew. With a nod I stepped through to the other side.
Standing in the peaceful and quiet garden I closed my eyes remembering the cave where I left the fire. 'It should've gone out a couple of hours after we left still leaving some sunlight to spare.' from there I made a mental map of the time it would've taken me to walk and which towns I could've walked to. "Okay. I have a place we can go to and continue back on the path to Amegakure."
Opening a portal I took out my dress and cloak that I was using when I left the base. "Go ahead. I'll be leaving the town in ten minutes." I instructed Itachi as I held my clothes in my hands.
Opening a portal to a dark alleyway he glanced at it and then at me. "I'll wait for you then." He poked my forehead before crossing over.
Closing the portal once he went through I began to remove my shinobi clothes prepared to put on the white dress. As I did I looked at my hand seeing the ring. Unclasping my necklace I took off my ring and added it to the chain. Clasping it around my neck once again I put on my dress, making sure the necklace and ring remained covered. Adjusting my hair so it covered my neck I put on the cloak as the final piece.
Opening a portal to the library I picked up the flowers and prepared myself to head out once again. As the secret healer of the Akatsuki I put on a smile hiding the tiredness I was starting to feel from all the portal making. 'Let's do this.' I told myself, opening a portal.
A couple of days later…
Arriving back to the base I hesitated at the entrance feeling an overwhelming aura inside. Sucking it up I entered, still holding the flowers in hand that I had been keeping alive using my Getsugan.
"Yuki, you're back," Pein said the moment I entered.
"Of course. It took really long to bring the flowers you asked for." I shrugged, placing them down on the nearest table. "That wiped me out, I'm turning in." I stretched heading to my room.
"Wait." He said, forcing me to stop.
"Yeah?" I asked turning around only for my shoulder to be pinned to the wall by a black rod. 'My chakra, I can't!'
"There is a traitor in our midst," Konan spoke as she entered the room. "They have been passing along intel of our organization." Looking up I saw the remaining members in the room staring at me including Tobi.
Extending his hand I felt a jolt in my body forcing my free hand to pin itself against the wall. "What did you find Itachi?" Pein asked.
Unable to use my chakra and tell him to blame me I took action breaking the rod the way the Hyuga taught me. Without wasting a moment I propped my legs on the wall and pushed my body forward, removing the rod from my shoulder in the process. Rolling onto the floor I felt my sweat go cold.
With a swift hand motion passing over my stomach, I took out Nagareboshi blocking the strike from Kisame's Samehada. "Eh? It seems you're more than a healer." He smiled, giving me a close look at his sharp teeth.
"Well, it seems that the cat is out of the bag." I laughed quietly. Unsealing one of the kunai from the seals on my arm I grabbed it with my teeth and cut his hand. Backing away towards the hall I removed the kunai from my mouth.
"Konan," Pein ordered.
Standing at the end of the hall I swore that for a moment I saw a flicker of sadness. But that look quickly disappeared as a slight frown replaced it. Extending her hands she began to turn to paper. "Who are you sending this intel to?" She asked, spreading the paper along the walls and closing the way behind me to the other hallways.
"Konan I don't want to fight you but if you must know, ask Tobi. He should know."
"Pinning the blame, on that idiot. Won't help you, hm!" Deidara yelled, useless in this underground base.
"Shut up, Deidara. Remember who fixed those arms!" Backing away slowly I threw the kunai I had at the light in between us shattering it. Using that momentary flash I activated my eyes and teleported past her.
Returning to where I just left I slowed time down just enough to see Tobi right in the eye. That familiar red glow behind the mask solidified my theory. As time returned to normal Pein rose his hand. "We can't allow you to escape."
"I know. But I still will." I readied myself timing the moment to open a portal behind me.
"Shinra Tensei." Expecting another rod of his to be thrown my way I was instead pushed back by some force. Nevertheless, the outcome was the same, I was thrown against the wall where I opened one of my portals sending me through to safety. The moment I passed through I closed it not giving anyone the chance to follow after me.
Breathing heavily I gasped at what happened. With the adrenaline passing, I started to feel the pain on my shoulder. Holding the wound I looked at where the portal was hoping that he would be okay. No matter what happens I will see him again.
Yukino: Running away from the Akatsuki I was technically free. I was able to spend more time with my people as I wished. I trained my students as they rightfully deserved. I even used the extra time in Konoha.
?: You were able to get them off your back?
Yukino: No, of course not. There would be rare occasions where I would cross paths with Zetsu. But when he did he never followed me. He was slow, I know that. Which is why I always fleed.
Ryota: Yeah, she got lucky. Like Orochimaru, they had more important things to do than to hunt down a traitor.
Yukino: Like him, if we crossed paths once again they would kill me given the chance.
Sorry for taking so long with this one but lately I've been having a bad case of writer's block. Also, I've never written a lemon scene before so if it's bad forgive me.
