Hopeful Days II – Class 78-A
Walking through the halls of Hope's Peak, Makoto still couldn't believe that it was real. To the lucky boy, it could very well still be a dream.
Still, the halls felt real enough for him to understand that yes, this wasn't a dream.
After some minutes of walking, they finally reach their classroom, inside wasn't anything that special, it looked just like any other normal classroom.
They all take choose their seats and wait for their homeroom teacher to arrive.
Makoto chose the third desk on the roll by the window. Sitting down the brunette takes a deep breath and quietly waits. That is, until someone sits behind him and touches his shoulder.
"Hey there man." A gruff voice calls.
Turning to face the other person, Makoto instantly recognizes it from his research.
Hagakure Yasuhiro – Ultimate Clairvoyant
Yasuhiro is a tall 'teen' with light brown skin, dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. His hair is quite the large one, styled in long locks that stick out before bending backwards.
Arguably the most controversial person to have ever been scouted into Hope's Peak, at least according to the forums Makoto went through.
To start, he was two years older than the age of his classmates, apparently he was held back a few years, so Hope's Peak still categorized him as a teenager, for some reason.
Second controversial topic about this guy was his talent, which truth be told, sounded like a total scam.
30% chance of seeing the future? Really? Not even 50%?
Still, Makoto wasn't one to judge someone without talking to them, so he just smiled and replied. "Hi."
"Hope's Peak is kinda crazy eh?" The older teen comments, turning to face the window. "I mean, wow, this place is enormous!"
The brunette turns to face the window and nods. "Yeah , it is." He would have to agree, the campus for Hope's Peak was nothing like the one from his previous schools, it was practicality a entire neighborhood crammed inside of a school. "Finding our way around here is going to take a while."
The other teen nods. "Sure is." He then turns to face Makoto and extends his hand. "I'm Hagakure Yasuhiro, by the way."
Shaking the other's hand, Makoto smiles. "I'm Naegi Makoto, a pleasure to meet you." As the two shake hands, the person sitting in front of the brunette turns around.
"Oh! So you are Naegi Makoto!" Squeals a pink-haired girl. "I knew that I had seen your face Somewhere before!" She gets up and puts her hands on his desk, lowering her body so the two's faces are very close to each other. "You're that guy that got stuck on a burning tree aren't you?" As the girl yells excitedly, most of the other students turn to face the brunette.
Makoto blushes at how close she is to his face. "Oh, uh, yeah, that was me." The brunette laughs awkwardly as the girl squeals again and gets up, a smile on her face.
Now that she is not two centimeters close to his face, Makoto can finally recognize who she is.
Utsugi Kotoko – Ultimate Actress
Kotoko has pale skin, pink eyes and long ankle-length bright pink hair. Her hair has short straight bangs and slightly curved locks that tied into two high pigtails. She is wearing a pink hairband two horns as decorations, a frilly white, a brown jacket with a pink bow by the bottom left, a brownish puffy skirt and thigh-high pink and white socks.
From theater performances, movies and commercials, Utsugi Kotoko had done it all, she was a rising star in all senses of the word. From a tragic heroine, to a comedic relief character, she could interpret them all without a problem.
Outside of her spotlight stealing performances, Makoto didn't knew anything about the girl, she kept her past and personal life private to herself. So he really didn't knew what to expect from her.
"I heard that you did it to save a little kitty?" Kotoko asks excitedly and Makoto nodded.
"Yeah I did." He then sighs. "Although looking back at it, the cat really didn't need my help." In fact, as soon as the tree began to burn, the cat jumped off leaving Makoto alone on the burning tree.
"Still, it was totes awesome that you tried to help the kitty!" She yells, giggling to herself.
Well, one thing that Makoto wasn't expecting from her was how loud she seemed to be.
Which didn't please the person sitting on the right to the brunette. "Can't you morons speak to yourselves." A girl with glasses, she turns to face them with the coldest stare that Makoto ever saw. "The whole class doesn't need to hear your moronic conversation."
Togami Byakuya – Ultimate Heiress
Byakuya has long blond hair tied into a ponytail, lapis-blue eyes and pale skin. Her attire consists of a black suit over a white shirt, a lapis colored tie, a longish office skirt, black pantyhose and black high-heels.
That girl is Togami Byakuya, the sole heiress of the Togami conglomerate, the biggest conglomerate of Japan and one of the biggest in the entire world.
There was also some controversy over her admission to the academy, seeing that the Togami Corporation was one of the investors in the academy. People didn't knew if she got in because of her talent or if it was just to appease the investors.
"Oh what? The princess can't stand some peasants talking?" A voice mockingly says, this time coming from the front of the classroom.
Turning towards the voice, Makoto gulps down.
Towa Monaca – Ultimate Robotics Engineer
Monaca has short green hair tied with a red ribbon, green eyes and sickly pale skin. She wears a black knee-length dress with a white collar and a red ribbon tied on said collar.
In a similar situation to Byakuya, Monaca is part of the Towa family which leads the second biggest conglomerate in Japan, the Towa group.
A lot of people had problems with her being scouted to the academy, mostly for the same reasons as Byakuya, but differently from the Togami representative, Monaca has a background on robotic engineering that makes her, for most people, more suited to be part of the ultimate academy.
"Mind your own business, Towa." The blond replies coldly, making the green-haired girl laugh.
"Did I hit a nerve, Byakuya-chan?" Monaca mockingly replies, just waiting for a response.
"SILENCE ALL OF YOU!" Yells a boy standing on the teacher's podium. "Infighting, especially at the first day is against school rules!" The boy points towards the other students, who just look at him confused.
Ishimaru Kiyotaka – Ultimate Moral Compass
Kiyotaka has short black spiky hair, long and thick eyebrows and the most intense red eyes Makoto has ever seen.
This boy was a strange case in why he was scouted to Hope's Peak, at least based in Makoto's research. He didn't have a lot to his name, just some of the highest scores on his old middle-school.
The boy's red eyes then shift towards another boy, this one sitting with his legs crossed over the desk. "And you!" Marching towards the other boy, Kiyotaka points to his face and yells. "HAVE A LITTLE MORE RESPECT FOR SCHOOL PROPERTY!" Welp, Makoto could already tell that he was going to be one of the loud ones.
"I can already tell that your going to be a pain in the ass." The sitting boy says, lifting his head and facing the moral compass.
Oowada Mondo – Ultimate Biker
Mondo is a tall, muscular teen with slightly tanned skin, purple eyes and dark-brown hair styled in a thick pompadour.
Saying that Mondo had a bad reputation would be lying, this boy had a name that stroke fear all across the streets of Japan. He was a delinquent true and true, at least according to the mainstream media.
Being the leader of the crazy diamonds bike gang, it was no surprise that he had quite the attitude towards the Ultimate Moral Compass.
"LANGUAGE! WE'RE STILL IN ACTIVE SCHOOL HOURS!" Kiyotaka yells while Mondo just sighs.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." The delinquent yawns.
While Kiyotaka begins making a long winded speech about obeying school rules, a pale girl in a gothic dress giggles to herself. "Oh my, quite the lively class aren't we?" She hides her mouth behind her pale hands and giggles again.
Celestia Ludenberg – Ultimate Gambler
Celestia has very pale skin, red eyes and long drill-shaped twin pigtails.
She is a mysterious girl who has completely taken over the underground world of gambling, said to have been born with the luck of the devil, she has won multiple high risk gambling matches.
Although that, her past seems to be a mystery, outside of the fact that her father is French and her mother German.
Turning to face the girl sitting by her side, the gothic maiden smiles sweetly. "Don't you think so?" She asks.
The other girl just looks towards her and says nothing.
Kirigiri Kyoko – Ultimate Detective
Kyoko has pale skin, distant purple eyes and long light-lavender hair that goes up to her hips.
Now that is a mysterious person, if finding stuff about Celestia was hard then finding anything on Kyoko was impossible.
Which school she went to, where she lived, who she was, there almost nothing on the forums about this girl. The only information Makoto could find was about her career as a detective.
A absolutely perfect career, mind you.
She held the title of genius detective and had never failed to catch a criminal, but that really was the only thing Makoto could find about her.
Before anything else could happen, the door to the classroom is slid open and a tall man walks in.
Everyone stops what they are doing and watch as the man slowly walks to the teacher podium and turns to them, his serious face sending shivers down most of the students spines. "I'll ask that you all sit down." He says with a frighteningly calm voice.
Mondo takes his legs of the desk, Kotoko and Kiyotaka sit down and Celestia turns to face forward.
"Now, that I have your attention, we can begin." He says, turning around and writing something on the blackboard.
Munakata Kyosuke – Vice-Principal of Hope's Peak Academy
Kyosuke is a tall, lean man with white skin, silver hair and cold blue eyes. He is wearing a black suit with a pale yellow tie.
After he finishes writhing, the man turns around and stare at the students. "My name is Munakata Kyosuke and I will be your homeroom teacher for the next three years of your school life." Looking at them with the coldest expression Makoto has ever seen on a person, he declares. "You better not disappoint me."
Gulping down, Makoto closes his eyes, of course he ended up with the scary homeroom teacher.
That was just his life.
Hopeful Days II – Class 78-A
Just to explain some stuff, I'll be using a mix of the characters localized titles and their Japanese ones, just because I feel like some of the Japanese ones make more sense and most of the time are shorter.
Second thing is about character outfits, I'll only be describing what a Character is wearing if they have any noticable changes from their og design, like the most of the genderbents, so, if I don't describe what a Character is wearing, just assume their are either using the Hope's Peak uniform or their casual clothes.
Anyways, hope y'all liked the chapter and see you around!
Edit(21/01/24): Yeah, I forgot the 'i' on Kiyotaka's name, ooops?
