Chapter Twenty-Eight
I Do
A/N: Umm, I'm crying. Please, please tell me if this is ok? I had a very difficult time writing this!
Also, this is unedited as I really wanted to post this.
Disclaimer: I only own Aurora and any other OC's. Remember, I will occasionally use quotes from both the books or movie, depending on the scene; I do not own direct quotes or phrases.

"Will you do the honor of marrying me?"
Before her was the man she loved, and presented before her was an absolutely beautiful ring. It was a small diamond encrusted band with a princess cut sapphire surrounded by small diamonds. Aurora stared on speechless, not quite sure she heard the man correctly. Staring at Severus on his one knee, she found herself nodding, tears streaming down her face. But before she found herself saying 'yes', she was asking something entirely different.
"Oh my goodness, Severus…Did you…did you have this planned the entire day?"
Starting to shake, Severus humored the woman by answer her question. "I had it planned for sometime this weekend, but…after last night, I couldn't wait any longer."
"I can't believe…" She stared around at the sight before her. "This is all so beautiful! I can't even - "
"Please, I'm asking nicely will you please be quiet?" Instead of berating the man for his tone and words, Aurora found herself laughing, tears still escaping from her eyes."I'm only going to ask one more time: will you marry me?"
"YES! Yes you dimwit of course I'll marry you! Yes, yes, yes!"
Staring as the man gloriously smiled, Aurora watched as Severus grabbed her hand, placing the beautiful ring on the fourth finger on her left hand. Unable to do anything other than stare, she switched her vision to Severus who was still beaming. Throwing her arms open, she fell into the men, her momentum throwing them towards the ground. Severus said nothing except laugh, the beautiful song entering her ears, surrounding her body.
Lifting her body from his form, she dropped her lips to his, ensuring nothing but passion as she pushed her tongue inside his mouth. Encasing hers with his, Severus sat up, encasing the woman within his arms as he cupped her face to bring them forward.
"You are…such an amazing man, Severus."
His lips curved devilishly. "Yeah, I thought so too."
She slapped his arm. "You are such a meanie! And I love everything about you!" She kissed him again, squealing into his mouth when she felt Severus stand, wrapping her legs around his waist as he slammed her against one of the pillars.
"I have to take you now," he whispered, heated breath blowing against her skin.
Aurora lifted an eyebrow. "Right here? Now?"
Then it was Severus' turn to lift an eyebrow. "Do you doubt my abilities, Aurora?"
"Oh I would never." She tightened her grip around his neck. "It's just, here? Won't there be a chance someone could find or hear us?"
He shook his head. "I silenced the area and placed a lock on the door that no one can penetrate. Which is something I'm about to do to you."
Aurora grinned. "I dare you."
"Fine by me."
Holding her closely, Severus dropped Aurora to her feet, waving his hand in the process. Squealing again, she glanced down then back up at the man. "You took my underwear!"
Holding his hand up, she was correct. Between his fingers were her black, lacy knickers which he placed inside his pants pocket, not before taking a nice long sniff. "To which they now belong to me."
"Not for long. I will be wanting those back when we head downstairs."
Dropping to his knees once more, Severus kissed the newly placed ring upon her hand. "We'll see."
Undoing the snap of her jeans, Severus pulled them down her beautiful, creamy legs. From above, Aurora watched on sash stepped out from each leg, knowing exactly what the man to be her husband was about to do. Keeping his eyes locked on her, Severus kissed his way up her leg until he came to the soft curls at the apex of her thighs. Head leaned backwards against the stone, Aurora sighed feeling the man's lips again her own.
"Oh Aurora…" Inhaling her natural scent, Severus ogled at the perfection before him as he leaned forward. Tongue prepared, the Potions Master licked from her leaking hole to her clit.
"Agh!" Aurora moaned out, loving the instant contact with the man's wet tongue.
Sucking her clit, he switched to licking then back and forth. With her uninjured arm, she grasped the man's hair pulling it just as he liked. He licked, he prodded, the man inserted a finger just to hear the woman lightly scream. Oh yes, the moment he heard her scream he knew she was close.
He just didn't know how close.
"Severus!"
Screaming just as he predicted, Aurora's knees were about to cave, though Severus wasn't done. Slurping her dripping essence, the man then stood, immediately latching his lips agains hers. "Ohh Aurora…I could watch you cum again and again."
"Oh course you can, you evil man." She grinned, post-orgasmic high still surging through her, smiling only increasing when Severus lifted her by her thighs. "You work fast, don't you?"
"I would give my apologies, but right now, my dick is rock hard and the only thing I want right now is to thrust into you."
"Then what are you waiting for?"
Lifting her butt with his strong hand, Severus unzipped his trousers, allowing them to fall to the ground. It took one thrust for the man to enter her heated core. Sighing to the heavens, Aurora loved the feeling of being full as Severus watched her reaction. Dropping his forehead to hers, he asked, "When was the last time we were able to enjoy ourselves such as this?"
"It's been some time," she offered knowing it had been to long for them to enjoy each other's company.
Thrusting upwards, Severus grunted. "Too bloody long if you ask me."
Another thrust.
And then another.
And another.
"Severus…" Panting, Aurora clung to her man, loving every second he was spent inside of her. Knowing exactly what would get him off, she tightened her core muscles, loving the way he sucked in air through his teeth.
"Bloody hell Aurora!"
"Yes, Severus?" Nipping his teeth against her neck, he bit, knowing it would at least leave a bruise. "Ahh! Do that again!" Obliging, he bit her neck again, slightly harder. Pulling away, Severus was pleased to see a red spot, perfectly marked with by his teeth.
Grasping her hips, Severus pulled her closer to his body, loving how his cock was coated in her natural lubricant. She was soaked, leaving his pubic area soaked as well. The man didn't care. He loved her core, he loved the taste of her essence.
He simply loved Aurora and everything about her.
"Hnn, Sev - Sev - Severus!" Orgasming once more into the night, Aurora screamed, her turn to bite down onto Severus neck. This was the final straw for Severus as he grunted several times, before roaring himself. Holding onto her hips for dear life, Severus came, his seed gushing into Aurora as full speed, some liquid slightly leaking out as he withdrew from her depths.
Dropping to his knees, Severus moaned, breath ragged as Aurora join him. Hugging him from around the neck, she kissed his cheek multiple times. "I love you so much Severus Snape."
Gaining the ability to speak, Severus replied with, "And I love you, almost Aurora Snape."
~ oOo ~
Returning from the Astronomy Tower, Aurora had not be granted her underwear back, though Severus was pilot enough to grant a spell to clean his seed dripping down her thighs. Withholding from grasping each other's hand, the two of them made their way back down towards the dungeons where they ran towards their shared chambers. The moment they entered through the portrait, Aurora was all over Severus. She dropped kisses to his cheek, down towards his neck, across his well toned stomach after she had removed his robes. Finally, she had fell to her knees where she undid his trousers for the second time.
"Aurora…?"
"Yes?"
"Please tell me, are you…?"
He didn't receive an answer in kind. Instead, Aurora withdrew his enlarged cock, immediately opening her mouth to suck in his large member. The man before her gasped, his hands now given the opportunity to grasp her hair. Aurora had a difficult time maneuvering her mouth against his cock, considering her dominant hand was in a long, but she managed. And boy, did she manage.
Before her, Severus stood, having falling slightly against the door as the woman he loved sucked him off. It was moments such as this his refractory period was non-existent as he instantly hardened in her mouth. Pushing her tongue forward, the woman licked up and down his shaft, taking in the moans released from the man's mouth.
Grabbing the remaining length that couldn't fit inside her mouth, she sucked - hard. Teeth gently gliding against the silky skin, Aurora took note the wetness growing between her legs, all from blowing off her soon to be husband. Maybe that's also what was sending her off; the fact that Severus had actually proposed. The man proposed!
"Aurora!"
Her name was suddenly called as shut her mouth tightly around his cock, sensing the pulsation off his lower groin. Soon, his cum was shooting directly against her tongue and towards the back of her mouth. Accepting everything he had, some slipped past her lips, dripping against her chin as she slowly backed away. Just about to swallow, Severus grasped her chin.
"No, open your mouth; I want to see." Obliging to his seductive demand, Aurora tilted her head backwards, opening her mouth wide for the man to see she was coated in his essence. Satisfied with what he was seeing, he stated, "Good girl," with a devilish grin. "Now you may swallowed. Again, another demand she greedily accepted, loving the saltiness coursing down her parched throat.
Breaking away towards the bedroom, not before feeding and ensuring the animals were well taken care off, the two consumed each other again. And again, and then a fourth time before they called a moment to rest. Satiated and beyond exhausted, Severus and Aurora were buzzing with electrified pleasure. The woman would definitely feel the aftereffects of their lovemaking in the morning, but she gave no regards; she simply did not care. It was well worth the rawness her womanhood was experiencing.
Same with Severus. His dick was pulsating with abuse and power. He would most likely carry a hard on for the rest of the next day. Except now, that's what his dark cloak was now used for, to potentially hide the effects Aurora placed upon him.
Long into the night, Aurora lay within Severus' arms, their naked form having dried of sweat, but not of their smell of loving sex. Finally able to examine the ring, Aurora was already in love with it. The bright sapphire blue was exactly what she would have wanted, if she had ever thought of her wedding ring in the first place. She had sometimes thought of what life would be like if she and Severus were to get married, but never did she actually think Severus would propose. She was ready to simply live out her life with him by her side.
Aurora had to admit that she was still in shock. Gazing upon the beautiful ring, she placed an arm on Severus that was protectively laying over her waist.
"My ring is absolutely beautiful, Sev. What made you decide to go with blue instead of the traditional diamond?"
Kissing below her ear, the man said, "Because blue is your favorite color and I knew a diamond wouldn't suit you. So, a wonderful sapphire it was."
"It's wonderful and I am so ever thankful for such a ring. Truly." Rolling over, she cuddled into his chest, brushing her fingers through the minimal amount of hair across his chest.
Running his own fingers through her hair, Severus said, "You are more than welcome, my future wife."
"Ohh-hoho." She giggled, staring upwards at the man. "Already calling me your wife? I like that, my future husband." She pecked his chin, then curled tighter against the man.
They stayed that way for some time, ignoring the time on their clock that it was well past midnight. They talked about their future, being married while working at Hogwarts, and much, much more. The conversation eventually drifted away from the subject when they eventually lingered on towards what had happened the previous night.
"I still can't believe you went up against Lupin as his werewolf."
"I couldn't help it! I wanted to protect you and the students!" She argued.
"Yeah, and look where that landed you." He pointed his chin down towards her arm, which was now outside of its sling. There was no pain as she had taken her vials of potions; or her pleasure had over taken anything else she should be feeling.
Severus fell silent, his eyes focused on her arm and chest, still wrapped as well. "Listen…there's something we need to discuss."
Removing herself, Aurora pulled the sheet over her lap as she moved to sit against the headboard. "Ok, is everything alright?"
Severus copied her movements. "We need to talk about Lupin."
"Remus."
"Lupin."
"Sure ok…let's talk about Remus."
Severus rolled his eyes. "Look, I understand why Albus hired the man in the first place. And then there was us making al the potions for him throughout the year. But what happened last night cannot happen again."
"I know…" This caused the woman to sigh. "I'm aware last night wasn't good. It cannot happen again."
"No it cannot. Which is why I will be speaking with Albus in the morning to send letters to all the parents that Lupin is a werewolf."
"No, you don't mean that, do you?"
"I do. As much as I do not appreciate him working here as a teacher, we cannot risk the safety of the students."
Aurora sighed. After several minutes of contemplating his words, she sighed once more. "So…what do you propose we do?"
"Exactly as I have said. I say we speak with Albus in the morning. I…" Severus glance away. "Remus…is a fairly decent professor…but we have to think of the students."
Smirking, Aurora squeezed the man's arm. "I'll pretend I didn't hear that."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Of course you don't," she rolled her eyes. "I…guess that's it then?"
"It is. Did you want to speak with Albus as well?"
"No, I'll leave that to you. I'll probably visit Remus in the morning."
Pulling the woman back down into bed, Severus pulled her hair away from her injury. "You do whatever you need to do. But…" Picking up her left hand, he examined the ring. "I leave this up to you: what should we do about this?"
"Well, I think we should at least keep this secret until the term is over. But I would like to tell the staff so they're aware. You know Minerva would love to see you finally settle down."
Severus tightened his hold on her. "That and to tease me. I swear that woman loves doing nothing more."
~ oOo ~
Come morning, Aurora was definitely sore, beautifully so. She didn't mind as she move out of the bed. Followed by Severus, they showered together to enjoy the morning together. Once they were out, Severus helped Aurora dress her wounds, which the gash across her neck and chest were fully healed, as the worst was placed upon her arm. Other than a thin line across the skin, no one would be able to tell.
Splitting once they left the confines our their chambers, Aurora kissed Severus as he made way towards Albus's office as she made her way towards the third floor to find Remus in his office. As she made way, music could be heard as she knocked on the door. With no one answering, she invited herself in to find the office door opening, directly where the music was coming from. Making her way towards the office, once she was up the stairs, she was surprised to find Remus packing away all of his belongings.
"Well…it looks like a storm rampaged in here. What's going on?"
"I'm packing, what does it look like?" Remus turned and smiled. "It seems what has happened last night will be sent out towards the parents of all the students. Soon word will be spread that I'm…not exactly the type of teacher who should be here at Hogwarts."
"Oh, Remus, I…bloody hell Severus worked fast," she whispered.
"I heard that," Remus mumbled.
"Damn…Remus look, I'm sorry. Severus and I…we talked last night and he, well…" She glanced down at her arm still in the sling. "Severus wasn't too happy about this, but, he…he cares about the students and doesn't want this to possibly happen again."
"He actually care about the students? Did he say that?"
"Yes he did. And, well…"
"He wants me gone."
"…you know Severus."
"I don't blame him. Last night was…not my best performance." Taking the seat in the corner, Aurora watched as Remus moved around, burning papers in the fire, folding clothes into his trunk. It was only then did she focus on his appearance. Remus seemed ragged, face cut up and bruised.
"Remus, I am…so sorry for last night, you didn't deserve that at all."
He shook his head as he continued to move around the room. "No, no. I'm the one who forgot the potion, I'm the one who deserves what happened."
"Doesn't mean you deserve to have been attacked by a dog or a panther."
Remus turned around hastily. "Yeah I've been meaning to ask about that. You're an animagus!"
She smiled brightly. "Yes sir I am."
"When? And why a panther?"
"Hehe, well it happened not long after graduation; I'd been wanting to be an animagus for some time. As for why a panther…why not? They're sleek and ferocious creatures. Beautiful too," she flipped her hair. "If I might add."
"Ahh, everything you represent."
"Yes sir!"
Remus inhaled deeply. "Listen, Aurora." He lifted his eyes to hers. "I am very sorry for your injury," he pointed to her arm.
She waved him off. "There's no need, I know what I was getting myself into. Besides, I had to keep Severus and the students safe."
"…from myself."
"Not you exactly…And you were a freaking werewolf! Without your potion, I'm a little bit more lenient in understanding."
"But, I…"
"No buts!"
~ oOo ~
The following weeks remaining in the last term went by as fast as Aurora could imagine, and by the time all the students had returned to London by the train, the woman was glad school was over. This mean she and Severus could go home to their renovated home, and maybe discuss plans for a wedding? She didn't know, and honestly, she didn't care. The woman was still in shock.
As for her ring, she wore it all the time, concealing it with a spell throughout the day, and undoing it by the time it was just her and Severus at night. She never wanted to be without it as she loved the damn thing so much.
"Aurora?" Turning to face Severus as they were now outside the door to the staff room. "Are you ready? I called everyone to meet us here."
It was now at least a week since school had ended and they remained behind to finish any paper-work before they could head home. Twisting the ring on her, she nodded. More nervous than excited, as they were about to reveal the information to all their friends. "As ready as I can be," she breathed out. Nodding, Severus opened the door, allowing her to enter first. As they were now inside, all heads turned towards them as the door shut.
"Alright, we've been summoned by Severus," Albus stepped forward, hushing the murmurs across the room. "Well? What have you summoned all of us for? We're excited to hear some news!" The man peered over his half-mooned glasses.
"News?" Minerva stated. Smiling quizzically at the two, she asked, "What news is there?"
Tilting his head down, Severus then directed his question towards Aurora. "Do you want to do the honors?" She nodded. Lifting her left hand, she didn't need to speak any words as Minerva instantly understood, noticing the giant ring on her finger.
"Oh my goodness!" Running upward towards the woman, Minerva grasped the Aurora's hand gently, taking it within hers to examine the sapphire. "Severus? You proposed to Aurora?!"
"Proposed?"
"No way!"
"Oh my!"
All the female staff immediately ran over, all wanting to ogle the ring. Some were impressed while others were stating aloud why it was a sapphire and not a diamond. Aurora explained, and once she did so, the females all cooed and awed at the explanation. They were suddenly wondering what all Severus was hiding beneath that cloak of his.
For Severus, the males stepped forward, with Hagrid gently slapping the man on his shoulder. "It's 'bout time you asked her!"
Albus was next to speak. "Hagrid is right, Severus. Why now of all times?"
Severus glanced over at Aurora, then peered back. "Because it was about time. And now," He stared at Albus. "I would like to cash in my favor."
Albus' eyes rose, "What did you have in mind?"
"Aurora? Can you come here for a second?" Severus waved his hand.
Woman trailing behind, Aurora stood by Severus' side. "Yes?"
"Remember that favor Albus owes me?" She nodded. "I'd like to cash it in. How about we…get married here?"
"Here?" Her eyes widened. "In the castle?!" The man nodded, waiting for her answer. "Oh Severus I would love that!"
Actually smiling, Severus turned towards Albus. "What say you, Headmaster? Would you be able to accommodate a wedding here? Say…tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow?!" All the women squealed.
"B-But why tomorrow? There's so much to do!" Aurora exclaimed.
"Why wait?" He turned towards her.
Before he could speak, Albus stepped forward. "I do believe I can make that accommodation. Just as long as…Aurora is ready to get married that quickly."
Inhaling, she glanced between Severus and all those around him. Minerva whispered 'yes' multiple times; Hagrid nodded; even Pomona and Poppy were shaking their heads.
Smiling brightly, the woman nodded. "Yes….yes! Let's have our wedding tomorrow!"
And so, everyone began their work.
Flowers were instantly bloomed and created into centerpieces for the isle. Tables were conjured and placed strategically around the Great Hall where the ceremony would take place. Severus was leaving Aurora to the minute details as he wanted her to make this something she had wanted. She pleaded with Severus to join her, but he grabbed her by the shoulders and kissed her, wanting Aurora to create this wedding to be something she wanted. He would trust her judgment and love any and everything she created.
So she did just that.
That same day, she and Minerva walked around the Great Hall levitating flowers and tables and all sorts of decorations to cover the hall. Loving every second of it, Aurora was enjoying herself, not truly understand she was to be married the next day.
She was to be married the very next day.
It didn't quite scare her as much as she thought it could have. Though she never thought it would happen, the thought of marrying Severus had crossed her mind over the last few years. Maybe that was why? Because she had thought of it before? Or maybe it was because she truly loved him and wanted the man by her side, no matter the cost.
Any and all the staff had worked hard throughout the day. Severus spent the day crafting potions for over the summer to be prepared for Poppy by the beginning of the year. Once they had called it a day, Aurora trekked down towards the dungeons with Minerva following suit. Once at their chambers, the two walked inside to see Severus having walked out from their bedroom.
"Am I to assume everything is set up for tomorrow?"
Aurora nodded tiredly. "Yes, everything is set up."
"No, not everything!" Both turned to Minerva. "We've been in the Great Hall all day that we haven't even considered your dress!"
"My dress…? Oh no…my dress!" Aurora squealed, hands over her cheeks in exasperation. "How could I forget about something as important as that!"
"Well, to be fair, a certain someone wanted the wedding to be tomorrow, so…but that's why I'm here!" Minerva smiled. "We'll go and transform you a dress tonight so it'll be fresh and ready by morning."
Aurora, wide-eyed, stared at her longtime friend. "A-Are you sure?"
"Yes, I have been waiting for the day for Severus to settle down, and I am so thankful it's with someone such as yourself, Aurora. I couldn't be more blessed than to do this for you."
"Minerva…" Aurora grew teary eyed as she switched between her and Severus. Clapping her hands together, the woman then peered at her lover. "Well, we just stopped by so I could say goodnight."
"Goodnight?" Severus seemed perplexed. "Where're you going?"
"I'll be sleeping in my old quarters."
"Yes, you know the tradition, don't you, Severus? The bride and groom aren't supposed to see each other until the wedding starts."
"Oh bollocks…" Severus grasped his head, then turned to Aurora. "And you really want to partake in such a tradition?"
"Yes I do! Considering someone wanted the wedding tomorrow, I'd like this."
"I won't take this away from you. So…I'll see you in the morning?"
"Nope, not until we meet at the altar."
Severus sighed, but still leaned over and kissed her cheek, all in front of Minerva. "Then I'll see you at the altar."
Grabbing what she needed, Aurora soon left with Minerva on her feet. Walking around the corner in the dungeons, they were soon upon her and quarters. Casting a wave of. Her wand, a fire soon roared in the fireplace as well as all the cobwebs and dust evaporated.
"Now!" Minerva called from behind. "This is where the fun begins. "I will transform an old shirt of yours into the dress of your dreams. Shall we get started?"
Twirling her hands, Aurora seemed conflicted as she glanced at the older woman. "I'm…nervous, Minerva."
"Nervous? Whatever for, Aurora?"
Biting her lip, she then sat on the couch. "I mean…this is all so sudden. Our wedding - tomorrow? I can't believe…Severus would suggest such a thing!"
"Aurora, are you…" Claiming the seat beside her, Minerva placed a loving hand upon the young woman's shoulder. "Are you having second thoughts about this?"
She shook her head vigorously. "Oh no, no! Minerva I love Severus with all my heart." Smiling, she cupped her hand over Minerva's. "It's just…am I ready to become a wife? Am I even wife material?"
"Let me tell you something, Aurora. You and Severus have been in a relationship for three years and this was the first year you lived together."
"Actually…" Aurora smirked at her friend. "I've lived with Severus over the summer for the last two years."
"Oh really? Wow, he's very secretive and protective about those who are invited to his home." Patting Aurora's hand, she continued. ""Well even more reason for me to state you've already been acting as a wife already, have you not? You've lived together, you've seen each other work, you've crafter dinners, and, from what I've seen, you two are the most compatible people I have ever seen."
Eyes widened, Aurora was transfixed. "Do you…really mean that?"
"Oh sweetie, I do. You are already acting as a wife and I know you'll be the perfect wife for Severus. It's about time he settled down and I am so happy for the two of you." Teary eyed, Aurora swiped at her cheeks. "Aurora, is everything alright?"
"Yes, yes it is!" Standing quickly to her feet, she was now ecstatic. "Now, let's transform something into my wedding dress! I need to be beautiful for my own wedding, now don't I?"
"That's the spirit!"
~ oOo ~
It was now the morning fo the wedding.
Severus, for the first time, woke up feeling refreshed.
Aurora, on the other hand, was a nervous reck.
She wasn't the same nervous as she was last night, but she was still anxious. No, she wanted the day to happen so she could now call herself 'Mrs. Snape'. She was so many emotions all in one, but the moment she stood up from her old bed, Aurora knew she was ready. As she walked out into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, her portrait called that there were people at her door. Still clad in her pajamas, the woman was curious to see who it was. It was already seven in the morning and the wedding wasn't until later that evening. Stating the portrait could open, she soon found Poppy and Minerva enter her front room, soon followed by…
"Oh my goodness! Rose!"
"Aurora-Nyx!"
The two friends grasped each other in a tight embrace, the longtime friends crying at the fact they were able to see one another.
"How - Why…? What's going on, why're you here? I-I mean I love that you're here but what's going on?" Aurora cried.
"Severus visited me last night and explained everything that was going on! Aurora you're getting married today and I wouldn't miss it for the world!"
Covering her mouth, Aurora was in shock. "Severus…stopped by just to tell you?"
Rose moved her hair over a shoulder. "Oh yes! And he stopped by this morning to escort me onto the grounds. I just saw him not ten minutes ago." Falling into the woman's arms, Aurora was beginning to cry out of happiness.
Poppy stepped forward and grasped the woman's shoulder. "Come now, this is no time for tears, even though they be happy. We have some time until the ceremony, but we have a dress to make and. Bride to get ready!"
"And that is exactly why I am here!" Minerva exclaimed.
And so, they spent the rest of the afternoon making a dress for Rose and dotting on Aurora. She bathed, whisked away her wand until her hair was dry and prepared to to have her hair done. It took some time as all three women wanted to be apart of the process, but at the end, Aurora was ready to go, all dressed in everything she needed. All the other woman were dressed from head to toe in everything they were wearing to the ceremony. Pomona had stopped by to bring the woman her bouquet, specifically designed by Severus to consists of Star-Gazer Lillies and pink roses.
"Did Severus…plan everything behind my back without me knowing?"
Pomona and Poppy smiled. "He planned more than any of us thought."
Aurora smiled as well until her face fell. "There's…one thing he didn't plan." Every stared at her with napkins in hand in case she began to cry. "Who is going to walk me down the aisle…?"
"Tha's where I come in."
Having not realized Rose opened her portrait, in comes Hagrid, standing tall in her small room. Hagrid was dressed in the same attire we wore to the Hearing several months prior.
Standing. By the entrance, he glanced Aurora up and down in her dress. "Oh Aurora…you look beautiful."
Grabbing the outstretched napkin from Rose, she dabbed the corner of her eyes. "T-Thank you Hagrid. Oh my what're you doing here?"
Smiling tall and wide, Hagrid held his arm out for her to take. "O' course, Severus asked me last night. He knows your father, well…your father…"
She quickly hugged the man. "I swear, I think Severus was planning to have this wedding before he even proposed!"
"Sounds exactly like that, if you ask me," Rose smugly stated. There was another knock on the door, as the portrait opened to reveal Albus' patronus. Stepping further inside, the heart voice of the Headmaster entered the entire room.
"It's nearing time. Is everyone ready?" The patronus mainly focused on Aurora as everyone else nodded their heads enthusiastically. "Then we'll be waiting for everyone in the Great Hall."
Taking one last breath, Aurora turned to everyone in the her old quarters. And it would remain old as she now would officially be staying with Severus in their quarters. "It's time people, let's go!"
Leaving her quarters behind, she followed behind everyone, only with Rose by her side, holding her hand tightly. Walking up through the dungeon into the corridor before the Great Hall, she stopped, everyone else not noticing as they made way towards their positions inside. Gripping her best friend's hand, Rose glanced at her.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Aurora nodded. "Yes. I am ready for this."
"You sure? Then why'd you stop sweetie?"
Aurora faced forward. "Because I'm about to get married, and not once have I thought about my mom or dad. Does that…make me a bad person?"
"Oh no, no sweetie. You've had a lot on your mind this past day. You're about to get married! It's ok to not always be thinking about your parents." Rubbing up and down on her shoulders, Rose did nothing but smile. "They will be by your side today. Trust me. I know they wouldn't miss their daughter's special day."
A tear fell down from her face. "You…really think so?"
"Yes, I do." Rose cleared the lonely tear from her friend's cheek. "It's wonderful you're not wearing makeup, otherwise we'd be in trouble."
This caused Aurora to chuckle. "I don't think I needed any."
"Hehe you don't. You have such a beautiful natural face. Well? Come on! I'm sure everyone is waiting!"
Grinning, Aurora could do nothing but nod, not wanting to speak until she needed to in front of Severus. Appearing before the doors to the Great Hall, Aurora stayed off to the side as she entered to be placed somewhere inside. Standing next to Hagrid, the woman inhaled and exhaled calmly. She was ready for this. She was ready to become the wife to an amazing husband.
"Aurora?" Nodding to indicate she was listening, Hagrid continued. "Are you ready?"
"Yes," She said quietly. "Please, open the doors."
And he did.
The Great Hall doors slowly opened to reveal a magical sight. The star sky above with the floating candles was beyond anything she had ever seen outside of the everyday she'd seen it. It just…seemed to fit that of her wedding. All the aisle there were different kinds of flowers, all ones she had planted in their garden at home, the same ones she's planted with her mother before. All the staff were aligned beside the aisle, waiting for her to proceed. Albus stood at the front and then -
There he stood.
Severus in all his glory stood at the very front, hands crossed before himself as he waiting for his bride. The man had forgone his traditional black frock for a beautiful dress robe set, with most of his long hair tied in the back with a green ribbon. Of course the man had to incorporate green into the wedding somehow.
And the moment he saw his bride, Severus swallowed, hard. He couldn't imagine a more beautiful woman to stand beside him this day, where he'd be able to call her his wife.
As she took one step forward, she thank Minerva for granting her wish to complete her dress. Her hair was half-up in a simple bun, the rest of her long locks were softly curled. The dress, however, was all lace. Beautiful lace covered sleeves, a slight v-neckline and a small train to follow. A small diamond encrusted belt accented the waistline right below her tiny bust. Overall, the woman was beautiful and she couldn't have wished to look any different on such a day as this.
As they began the procession, Aurora noticed off into the distance, Filius had enchanted his musical instruments and was currently instructing them to play a beautiful ballad. Walking on through, she noticed Poppy was tearing up just as he friend Rose. She was slow to reach the end of the aisle, and as she did, Hagrid reached down to kiss her on the cheek before taking his position behind everyone else.
Holding out his hand, Aurora gladly accepted as Severus stared on as she made her way up the small stairs for them to stand on. Right behind them stood Albus in glorious robes of purple and gold. Never letting go of her hand, Aurora held her bouquet in the other as they faced the Headmaster.
"Everyone!" He called as all the staff gathered around closely. "Today, we are here to present to wondrous young people who deserve one each other like no other couple I have seen. We celebrate the relationship between Severus Tobias Snape and Aurora-Nyx Helen Warrington, to share with them a day in which they will conjoin their souls for eternity.
Marriage gives stability and structure to a couple's love. In this manner, it's a way of speaking that no matter what happens, no matter what you endure, your love for one another is what keeps you together. Marriage is telling the person you love that you're not going anywhere and that's a powerful commitment for two people to make to one another. Say 'I love you' at least one a day. Tell the other how much you care, how much they mean to you.
The road that has brought Severus and Aurora together hasn't been easy. They have faced challenges they weren't prepared for and those that were placed on their shoulders. But they have survived, and have become stronger as a couple in doing so. Their love has persisted, and together, their love will only strengthen from here on out. Now, I am sure each has prepared their own vows. Severus, if you would."
Turning towards one another, Severus reached to grasp her hand, when Rose appeared to take her bouquet. Fulling taking his hand, Aurora could see the man swallow, considering his words in what he was about to speak.
"Aurora-Nyx Warrington, there is…so much I could say. I've loved you for the last ten years, and due to a ridiculous mistake on my part, I ended what could've been wonderful relationship. But here we stand, and for the last three years, you have graced me with your presence and have loved me, more than I have ever deserved." He gulped, hating the fact that here he was admitting such personal revelations to everyone as they stared upon them.
"I love you. There's no other way around it. You are the most perfect woman in the world with everything you have done. I can't…say anything else other than I will treat you the way you deserve and I will never stop loving you."
A lone tear crept from her eye once more. The man didn't need to speak so many words; Aurora could hear it from his voice alone. When it seemed he had nothing else to say, Albus turned to Aurora.
"Aurora?"
"Severus Snape," she started. "We have definitely had a wrong start. We've traversed many grounds in this relationship and ten years ago. If there is anything I am most proud of it's being able to call you my husband, my partner in crime, my…everything." She sniffled, wiping away at her cheeks. "I feel I don't deserve everything you have given me. You were there the moment my mother passed away and you've been there for all my ups and down. Whatever may be the outcome of this marriage, just now that I will stand by your side.'
Sniffling himself, Albus then cleared his throat. "The bride and groom will now exchange their rings." He watched as Hagrid game Severus the ring and as Rose gave Aurora hers. "Now Severus, please take Aurora's hand, and repeated these words: I give you this ring, as s symbol of my love, for the eternity we will spend together. For today, tomorrow and the year's to come, never will I fault you, never will I doubt you."
"I give you this ring, as s symbol of my love, for the eternity we will spend together. For today, tomorrow and the year's to come, never will I fault you, never will I doubt you." He then placed her lovely ring on her hand, and waited for Albus to call on her.
"Now Aurora, repeat after me: I give you this ring, as s symbol of my love, for the eternity we will spend together. For today, tomorrow and the year's to come, never will I fault you, never will I doubt you."
Swallowing, Aurora tightened her grip on Severus. "I give you this ring, as s symbol of my love, for the eternity we will spend together. For today, tomorrow and the year's to come, never will I fault you, never will I doubt you." She gently placed the small, black ring onto his finger.
"And now, I will do the honors: Severus Tobias Snape, do you take Aurora-Nyx Helen Warrington to be your beloved wife, to have and to hold until eternity's end? To love and cherish, be her protector in health and hardship?"
Without wasting a second, Severus immediately replied, "I do."
"And now: Aurora-Nyx Helen Warrington, do you take Severus Tobias Snape to be your beloved husband, to have and to hold until eternity's end? To love and cherish, be her protector in health and hardship?"
"I do."
Albus smiled. "And now, witches and wizards, do I present: Mr. and Mrs. Severus and Aurora Snape!"
