SCOOBY

"Two mysteries?" Kaminari asked. "Look at him. We all know how he died."

"Like, yeah," Shaggy said, "But what about him?"

In the other room, Watson lay dead in the same pose as Izuku, with handprints burned into his skin. Velma held a magnifying glass over him and said, "Same exact cause of death. Whoever murdered Watson must have wanted to make sure whatever revelations Sherlock had died with him."

Fred smacked his fist in his hand. "But we don't have any clue who it is. So, we should-"

"Don't say it!" Shaggy and Velma roared.

"Split up gang! Daphne and I will investigate this suspiciously luxurious bedroom, while the three of you check the dark, dank basement full of cobwebs and groaning plumbing. Good luck!"

Fred swept Daphne into a room full of heart-shaped furniture and locked the door. Shaggy and Scooby gulped. "Like, do we have to go down there?"

"Scooby snack."

"We're in!" Shaggy and Scooby gulped their snacks and charged downstairs.

As they ran past, Velma's glasses fell off. "My glasses! I can't see!" As she groped around, a dripping hand offered her glasses back. Velma said, "Oh, thanks." The moment she put them on and saw her helper, she screamed and ran for it.

Shaggy and Scooby came back up and said, "We fixed the plumbing issues! Also, we found barrels full of acid. I wonder what's that about."

A groan came from behind him. Shaggy asked Scooby, "Was that your stomach man, we just ate?"

"No," Scooby said. "Ras it yours?"

"You know my stomach's louder than that, Scoobs. That can only mean…" They gulped and turned. A goopy acid monster charged after them. They ran through door after door across a narrow hallway until they slammed back into the monster. In a panic, they pounded on the door Fred had locked. "Like, let us in before we're puddles!"

As the monster leapt, the door flew open. Daphne slapped a pair of fuzzy handcuffs around the monster's arms.

"Phew!" Fred said. "Good thing that room was full of fuzzy handcuffs and rope. And clues."

Velma adjusted her glasses. "Now let's see who's under this mask."

When she pulled it up, the class gasped in surprise. "Wait, Mina!"

"And I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling hippies."

"But that's what you want us to think, isn't it?" Fred asked.

Velma nodded. "Precisely. Mina's acid is so potent it would have melted Izuku entirely, as he wrote in his own blood."

She pointed at Izuku's other message. Fred said, "That, and we found Mina tied up in the bedroom closet."

He stepped aside, revealing Mina cuffed and gagged. Fred reached for the Mina mask and said, "The culprit must be someone else whose Quirk can make acid. Someone, like…"

The lights went out. When they came back on, the mystery gang was lying dead next to Izuku and Watson.

Sero pointed and asked, "Is that a blue pawprint?"

In a house far, far away, a sentient mailbox darted in through the window. The muscled man with chiseled chin and awe-inspiring abs flicked the mailbox open so hard its face went flying. He took out the envelope inside. "A letter, hmm? I wonder who it's from."

When he finished reading it, he tore the letter in half, and his raw power caused it to disintegrate. He stood, stretched his arms, and said, "Come, Brilliant Blue! We have a puzzle to solve."

From a nebulous blue cloud behind him, a canine figure materialized and coiled about a door. Steve donned a striped green shirt, tucked a notebook into his front pocket, and said, "Blue-Skidoo, we can too!"

The door slammed shut with a puff of blue smoke.
