It was just 7 o'clock when the sunbeams gently tickled Amu's nose, gradually pulling her out of her dream world. The girl with pink hair yawned as she slowly opened her eyes. She felt an arm around her waist and turned with a smile to see familiar blue, which she had come to love a lot. She ran her fingers through the young man's hair, watching his peaceful face.

Four years had passed since Amu had finally recognized, accepted, and confessed her feelings. For Ikuto, it was a tough journey to get her to take him seriously. The man in question began to cheekily grin and opened one eye to gaze at Amu. "You never change, do you? Once a pervert, always a pervert."

Amu puffed her cheeks into a pout. "If anyone's a pervert, it's you! Besides, I can look at my fiancé whenever and as often as I want." She cheekily stuck her tongue out at him.

"Mhh~ Music to my ears. You say that so rarely," he continued to grin, turning so that she was now beneath him. "If I'm such a pervert, I really need to do something urgently. I can't bear it otherwise~" His mischievous and confident grin remained unchanged. He slowly approached Amu's ear with his mouth, giving it a playful nip. The pink-haired girl blushed immediately and let out a helpless squeak.

Ikuto kissed her neck and then her lips before looking directly at her again. "Still as awkward and nervous as the first day. You're definitely a cute one." He gently smiled and stroked her cheek.

"You know I'm very sensitive there," the girl grumbled quietly, trying to calm her body. Despite the four years where they get closer quite often, her body still reacted strongly to his touch and emotions flooded her each time.

"Let's go have breakfast," she suggested, attempting to free herself from his embrace.

"Mhh? ~ I was just about to," he winked at her with a grin.

"Idiot..." She rolled her eyes but smiled gently at him. She wriggled out from under him and sat on the edge of the bed, stretching briefly. Before she could stand up, she felt a firm grip around her waist. Looking down, she saw Ikuto hugging her from behind. His head rested on her right shoulder, eyes closed.

She placed her hands on his arms, closing her eyes briefly to savor his warmth. Eventually, he let go, stood up, and offered her his hand. "Well, let's go."

Amu smiled, taking his hand, only to find herself back in his arms the next moment. "You're getting clingier day by day," she murmured into his chest.

"I don't have to worry anymore and can be myself with you," he replied. Amu silently thought that Yoru, as a cat, really suited Ikuto. She compared him to a cat from time to time, and with that thought, she sighed softly, gazing out of the window.

It had been two years since she lived without her Shugo Chara. When they suddenly disappeared one morning, it broke Amu's heart, and she was grateful to have Ikuto by her side. Although she knew they wouldn't stay together forever, facing the day it happened was still unbearable. Ikuto ruffled her hair gently and smiled at her.

"We don't want negative thoughts, do we? Just think about whether you're really sure," he teased, grinning.

"Huh?" Amu looked at him puzzled.

"Well, from next week onwards, you definitely won't get rid of me anymore," he poked her nose with his index finger.

Amu narrowed her eyes, raising an eyebrow. "If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't have said yes, idiot." She crossed her arms, turning away.

"Well, you never know with you. You change your mind quickly, and your feelings have always been a mystery to yourself," he continued teasing, turning her back to face him. "Amu, do you really, really want to marry me?" he asked confidently.

Amu gently pinched her nose, sighed, and tilted her head back. "Doesn't that get boring for you?" she inquired. He did it quite regularly.

"That's not an answer." He stuck his tongue out.

"Yes, yes, I do! Yesterday, today, and tomorrow! My answer remains the same!" Although she didn't understand why he doubted her and her answer, she looked forward to the sparkle in his eyes every time she said yes.

"But we've been engaged for over a year; that also shows uncertainty," he replied, shrugging.

"And whose fault is that..."

"Yours." Once again, he cheekily showed his tongue. "YOU wanted to wait to make everything perfect for me. I would have married you on the same day." Her cheeks turned red, and she shyly looked down. "It's perfect for me as long as you're with me," she added, looking at him again.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, yes. But this way, we can go on a European trip for our honeymoon together, not worry about anything, and you'll have the most beautiful dress of all. My princess's wedding must be perfect!" Amu was pretty sure that a proposal would have come much earlier if it had been solely based on feelings, but he insisted on giving her a white gold ring with a huge red heart-shaped diamond during the proposal.

The proposal itself couldn't be unspectacular either. He had taken her to all her favorite places throughout the day and in the evening to a very luxurious, elegant restaurant. He had excused himself from the table with an excuse, only to return later, playing her favorite song with the pianist and his violin. During the performance, he had gradually approached her, and at the end, he had knelt down in front of everyone and proposed, while the staff placed roses around their table. It was definitely romantic. Romantic and expensive.

"If you weren't so extra, I could have been Tsukiyomi for a long time," she sighed, gently stroking his cheek.

"Tsk, you do everything for your beloved, and she complains." Of course, he didn't mean it seriously; he grinned as usual.

"I appreciated everything, but I just want to officially belong to you, and you to me." She played shyly with her fingers. Ikuto smiled gently and kissed her forehead. "Soon." The hearts of both soared at the thought.

Finally, Ikuto began to change, and Amu couldn't help but admire his upper body. He had been working out more in recent years, becoming more muscular. However, she found him irresistible even before that. She was aware that if she didn't look away, she would receive a teasing comment, but it was worth it. "Pervert," Ikuto didn't even have to turn around; he could practically feel her gaze. "Are you sure you want to go out?" Amu could hear the mischief in his voice. "Get that out of your mind!" She started changing as well, ignoring Ikuto's pleading kitten eyes. Of course, he was just teasing her; he wasn't one of those guys who desperately needed it, and he would love her even if it never happened.

As they left the house, they were greeted by warm sunshine and peaceful bird chirping. It was a beautiful spring day, and the cherry blossoms were gradually making an appearance. Amu had snuggled up to Ikuto's right side, wrapping her arms around his, pressing against him. It wasn't far to the café where they often had breakfast, and Amu decided to be a little silly. "If you catch up to me, you get a wish from me." Shortly after, she let go of him and ran away. Over the years, she had become more athletic, but so had Ikuto; she knew she probably didn't stand a chance. Ikuto looked at her bewildered and glanced around skeptically. There were many people here, but eventually, he shrugged and chased after her. It didn't take long for him to reach her wrist, grab it, pull her back, and press her against the wall. He placed one hand next to her face against the wall, and with the other, he held her waist, grinning seductively. Amu pouted and sighed. He definitely had it easy with his height advantage.

She looked into his eyes but was briefly distracted by loud screams around them. She turned to the right, where she saw a panicked woman pointing upward. Just as she was about to follow the direction with her eyes, Ikuto let out a pained noise, and her face became wet. Perplexed, she touched her face and looked at her fingers. Her eyes slowly widened at the sight of blood. Swiftly, her eyes turned to Ikuto, whose lips and chin were dyed in dangerous red. Her heart pounded faster and higher than ever, and she felt like she might pass out any moment. Her lover's body went limp and came closer to her, now resting on her. Only now did she realize that she couldn't move her body. When she looked down, she realized why. A huge iron rod was impaled through her body, pinning her against the wall. She could still barely hear people around her panicking, mentioning that there was a construction site across the street. The crane was lifting pipes when one slipped in the air and hurtled toward them at high speed. An ambulance was immediately called, but Amu also felt herself growing weaker and eventually succumbing to the injury.
