RAIFSG-Chapter 12

Because on Rory's birthday she and Chloe were both home sick, they didn't get to celebrate. This weekend was the first chance they had, so Logan was planning something special. This of course caused him and Colin to be late meeting the girls for lunch. They had already ordered when they got there.

She saw him the minute he opened the door. He slid in beside her and kissed her on the cheek. "Sorry we are late, I had something at the office to do. It took longer than I anticipated." He told her.

"We ordered for you," Steph said. Both men nodded.

"Did you find the costumes?"Colin asked.

"Yeah," Logan piped up. "What did you decide on?"

Both girls started laughing. "Pickings were slim." Steph said.

"What?" Logan said. "It is two weeks till Halloween. They couldn't be that picked over." Both girls were nodding their heads.

"Okay," Colin said. "Whatcha get me?"

Steph stood up and pulled open the garment bag that belonged to Colin. He squinted at the costume. "Fred Flinstone?"

"Yes," Steph said. "You will love the little white dress that I will be wearing…And I get to wear a red wig." She was excited. Colin just shook his head. He didn't want to bust her bubble. He would be anything she wanted him to be.

"Uh, Ace?" Logan said. He was worried. He knows he will go along with anything she wants, he just didn't want to look ridiculous.

"Yes, Logan?" she asked.

"What did you get us.?" he asked.

"I'm sure you will like it. I am going to be Tinker Bell." She said,

His eyes got wide thinking about the tiny dress Tinker Bell wears. "Does that mean I am Captain Hook?" He asked.

"No, Silly," She said. "Peter Pan." His smile dropped. "Oh, you don't want to be Peter Pan to my Tinker Bell?" she asked.

"No, that's fine. Peter Pan is perfect." He told her.

Their lunch arrived. The four of them talked about the rest of the weekend. All but Rory knew of the surprise party Logan was planning for tonight.

Logan convinced Rory to come back to the room to rest. He told her Finn had made plans for them after dinner tonight to go clubbing.

When they arrived at the restaurant, it was just them. Logan said Colin called and Steph had a headache, maybe she would feel better later and would meet them at the club. Logan knew Steph didn't have a headache, she was supervising the last minute details for the surprise party at the Plaza.

Logan and Rory have only been reunited a little over a month, but they both knew they wanted to combine the two families. That was one of the discussions they had over dinner.

After dessert, Logan paid the bill. When they stepped out on the sidewalk, Finn walked up.

"Ello, Love," Finn said. "Fancy meeting you here."

"Finny," Rory said as she hugged him. "Where will the adventure begin? You have to remember, we are not as young as we used to be." She told him laughing.

"Oh, I remember you are not, although, looking at you, you could never tell you were a day over 25," Finn said. Logan was agreeing with him.

"Now I know you need your eyes checked." She said touching the crows feet that appeared overnight around her eyes.

Finn grabbed her hand, pulling her down the sidewalk. She had a hold of Logan's hand so she just pulled him along. Finn stopped too quickly and she ran into him, almost knocking him down.

"Woah." He said righting himself. "We are here, but there is one more thing before we go in."

She opened her mouth to ask 'what is it' when Logan slipped the blindfold over her eyes.

"No, no, no," She said. "Not the blindfold."

Logan leaned over and whispered in her ear. "I'll hang on to it when you take it off. We can use it tonight." She didn't have to be looking at him to know he had a smirk on his face. She was blushing. She could feel it.

They entered the Plaza with Finn leading. Talk about the blind leading the blind. He stopped in front of the door. He let go of her hand and walked in. "She's coming. Everyone be quiet." He told the crowd. Everyone stopped talking. Finn went out the door and led her into the center of the room. He then sat her down on her throne. He signed for everyone to shoot, "Happy Birthday" as Logan removed the blindfold.

"Ah, a surprise birthday party." She said, looking around at everyone. It was mostly LDB, some friends from college. People she hasn't seen in years. This was wonderful.

Rory and Logan mingled with the guest. Paris was there as was Lucy and a very pregnant Olivia. She talked with Rosemary, Marty, Juliet, Robert and Janet. She couldn't believe Logan put this together so quickly.

By the time they got back to the suite, she was too tired to move. She sat down on the couch. Logan had to carry her to bed.

The next day they headed back to Hartford, stopping in Stars Hollow to pick up the girls.
