Sonic with a powered glove, Tails in robot armor, and now-cyborg Merlina all rushed to the Angel Island, which Merlina reveals that's where the ship ended up. Thankfully, the full Team Superstars is alive... except the rest of the Resistance.
"We mourn the end of Resistance fools, who bravely fought for the better, whenever and whatever." Eggman, who's now wearing a camera for his left eye, mourned the members.
Yacker is crying at the remains of the ship, and the Wisps and the Avatar do a depressive salute for the mourning.
"Guys! Most of you are alive! Why are you so sad?" Sonic arrived at the scene.
"The post-rookie is the only surviving resistance to fight alongside us." Espio, who now have a prosthetic right arm. "We've confirmed all the other Resistance members have died in the fall to this merged world. Only Sage is completely unharmed, because she's our only AI left."
"The ship is destroyed and all the Resistance guys except the rookie fell to death!?"
The Avatar revealed themselves, with a Phantom Ruby grafted in their body, just like Infinite... and Infinite himself also showed with Phantom Ruby again.
"All of us except that cyber girl have sustained bloody wounds and injuries that necessitated repairs and reforms." Infinite explained. "This feels... familiar yet ironic..."
Classic Sonic, whose quill became messy and with now-rusted blood on his quill, hugged his modern counterpart.
"I've helped repair everyone. And what's wrong, Sonic?" The now-paraplegic Nine revealed. "Why do you have a powered glove?"
"I don't know, it's given to me by Merlina through a sword which the glove attached somehow." Sonic replied. "Merlina herself had her lower half replaced, and she looked more messy and scarred. Wearing new clothes."
Sonic then used the glove to vibrate himself, and phased through the remains. He then blitzed to Shadow to wake him up, resulting in that body jiggling.
"See?" Sonic returned. "I'm much faster and even stronger with speed."
A roar can be heard from behind the remains.
"Shadow's jerking!" Knuckles, wearing tribal clothes to cover his scars and wounds. "Sonic, what did you do!? It's not a good idea to mess-"
The panels are knocked off, and Shadow emerged as a cross between a gargoyle and a normal werehog Sonic used to be, with three copies of Doom's Eye and monstrous fangs.
"Shadow the Werehog." Chip - with scars throughout his small body - stands behind Silver with ruined quills. "Please... don't..."
"Sorry, Shadow..." Sonic nervously stepped back.
Shadow roars against Sonic, threatening to attack him with said roar. However, a projection of the mysterious hedgehog interrupted everything.
"You shattered the multiverse, got our Resistance friends killed, wounded us without touching, and trying to subjugate reality itself!?" Amy, who had her surgery to repair her, has spoken up.
"Danger detected. Who are you?" Rusty, as well.
"I can't believe most of you survived the Wave." The hedgehog is frustrated. "Did you just Chaos Control out of my way?"
"I saw the dark hedgehog doing so to save us." Robotnik responded. "You're evil, false hedgehog!"
"False? I am REAL!" The hedgehog yelled.
"We're hungry." Charmy tugged his Classic in hunger. "Somebody make chili dog-"
"Chili dog? I hate it!" The hedgehog freaks out. "You have the guts to piss me off!"
Merlina simply flipped her middle finger and blew raspberry off, pissing the hedgehog off even more.
"That was brutal." The now patched-up Classic Tails cringes.
"We're going to destroy you and restore the multiverse!" Tails declared.
"Ugh... You will pay for my existence!" The projection disappeared. "FUCK YOU!"
"So... where are we going?" Infinite asked everyone. "Where should we start?"
"We got arrr lot of robots made till now, thanks to the ship's machinery all along. Now we can finally abandon ship for real." Dread steps up and gears up the Resistance's blood-splattered fits.
"Team Superstars..." Sonic was suddenly...
"This outfit looks weird on me. My chest makes me look stupid now." Prime!Rouge wearing a copy of her main counterpart's outfit.
"Deal with it." Boom!Sonic shrugged. "We don't have much choice fashion-wise. At least you didn't covered in extra bandages like I do now. My wounds scared me as I was dying, which explains the extra bandages by the way."
"Also, we promises to find our Rouge, E-123, Cream, and co." Blaze added. "We are to restore the multiverse, and we need all the help we could get."
"I'm going to get the temples going. You guys go ahead." Chip went back to Gaia Temples, which is near.
Meanwhile...
"Mega Man, so you've been involved with the Super Genesis Wave." The mysterious hedgehog has kidnapped Mega Man (ロックマン). "It seems you don't remember anything about an alternative timeline of this multiverse here that's collapse. But here is the better world. Welcome to the shattering."
"Who are you!? Why do you look and sound like Sonic!?" Mega Man objected. "You're not acting like Sonic I remember now!"
"I am a god. I-" The hedgehog is interrupted by a blare.
"Someone's spotted us!" Elise warned the hedgehog.
"Hmph." The hedgehog walked around the shadows, glaring Mega Man with his left eye being glowing magenta surrounded by rainbow glitch and aura.
The hedgehog blitzed, while Elise flew. Mega Man tried to free himself, but is stuck by the illusion cubes from the Phantom Ruby, something he had no idea of.
"Damnit! These mysterious cubes..." Mega Man struggled.
Alex Kidd sneaked in, with a Phantom Ruby prototype, arrived to rescue Mega Man. However, these cubes these days wasn't affected, because the Ruby the hedgehog used and the Paradox Prism reinforced the cubes down to sub-atomic level.
"Damn..." Alex is frustrated.
"What's that?" Mega Man asked. "The red glowing crystal."
"A Phantom Ruby, able to manipulate illusions and impose it on reality." Alex explained. "These cubes are too much for this prototype. Someone must have overclocked a perfected version."
In the meantime, Chip got Gaia Colossus working, and caught up with the rest of the team.
"Chip, I see an exotic island over there." Sonic stopped. "But it's... overriden with the same kind of pillars I saw at Green Hill."
"I know these pillars. These were from the Grim!" Nine revealed. "I was going to turn it into a paradise... My paradise. So I misused the Paradox Prism. I nearly doomed everything."
"The island!" Boom!Sonic recognized the island. "My home!"
"Hey, scarf me, why are you panicking?" Sonic called.
"My home... no..." Boom!Sonic kneels down in despair. "It's doomed."
The Deadly Six - the real Zeti - came out of hiding, and saw Team Superstars ashore. Shadow carried Boom!Sonic up, and tried to calm everyone down, showing Shadow's consciousness still shines through.
"Everyone... we finally found you." Zavok is tired. "We've had enough of Shatter the Hedgehog!"
"Shatter?" Team Sonic heard it.
Trip is equally confused as well, while the Avatar just facepalmed.
"What? Shatter?" The Eggmen get suspicious.
"The Shatterspace counterparts fused together into one evil hedgehog, wielding both the overclocked Phantom Ruby and the Paradox Prism!" Zazz explained. "He's the one that caused the Hyper Genesis Wave!"
"Ugh, and we only remembered everything back a few days ago. Between that and the Wave, we forgot everything except who we are." Zeena complained. "Once we got our memories back, we realized what the evil doppelganger of you did, and called for your help."
"We have so much bad news on our bags that... it's not even funny." Zor groans.
"The Deadly Six... is begging us for help? After what they did?" Tails is surprised. "Why?"
"We're no match for the corrupted royalty, and we've struggled against our robotic copies!" Master Zik complained. "My long life would've come to a bloody end if we haven't escaped from this corrupted island!"
Zomom simply finished his last long sandwich. "Stole some lunches just to keep up with our survival."
"You guys... you threatened us, turned Tails into a robot..." Sonic recalled. "Now you want us to help? Against the mysterious hedgehog you call... 'Shatter'?"
"WE HAVE NO FUCKING CHOICE!" Zavok screamed. "If you don't, the multiverse's done for! And Shatter is far more evil than we all are! He's sadistic enough to torture us to near death! He treated us without respect. He toyed with us, abused us just to design the robotic copies!"
This shook Team Superstars, with the horror of the Zeti being fodders to the mysterious hedgehog and his army.
"This is fucking messed up." Eggman admitted. "This is cruel. If even extra-evil sadists were subjected by a god who impersonates my nemesis..."
The Amys and her counterparts except Rusty quickly threw up and barfed in response of the horror.
"He merged the multiverse into one fucking mess!" Zazz added.
"The torture turned me into a messy shut-in!" Zeena complained.
"He's a monster!" Zavok growled. "He dares to piss on my draconic prowess!"
"Welcome to Team Superstars then." Merlina accepted. "Let us introduction."
Cue a massive set of introductions to get to know each members and the two crystal things. As well as what happened that led to this moment.
"The Princess is possessed by Solaris, who's in turn brainwashed by 'Shatter' evil." Silver recalled. "Her reappearance made me regain my memories in the worst way possible. She could kill me. She eat dimensions for desserts these days."
"And apparently, judging by the atmosphere, he have 'the end' as mooks." Sage added.
"As in THE END? Something that once tried to plague the so-called Starfall Islands?" Master Zik called.
"Exactly." Sage confirmed.
"I only know that the Genesis Wave is basically a glorified Chaos Control." Eggman barely have any idea what a Genesis Wave actually is."
"We scoured on the files, and it contain infos about a world and timeline lost in a lawsuit beyond the fourth wall." Zavok recalled. "That's where Shatter learned the Genesis Wave from. Genesis Wave can be done with a lone Chaos Emerald. Super Genesis Wave can be done with a set of all seven Emeralds."
"What about the Hyper?" Chip asked.
"7 Super Emeralds, the overclocked Phantom Ruby, and the Paradox Prism. Together." Zavok continued. "He used that to shatter the multiverse. It also wiped out our memories."
"Super Emeralds?" The team is surprised.
"Super Emerald is a Chaos Emerald supercharged by a Master Emerald. It's far more powerful as a result." Zavok continued. "Each Super Emerald is nearly as powerful as the Master Emerald. All seven of them is enough to completely destroy an entire universe of timelines. And with Shatter's crystals used on the seven..."
"That's how the Hyper Genesis Wave worked. That evil one not only crushed the entire multiverse into one world..." Master Zik added. "It also ripped some others apart and brought them into said world."
"You're saying... even other multiverses got involved!?" Amy is horrified.
"Exactly." Zor confirmed. "These files are straight from the hedgehog and the possessed royalty themselves. We spied for these not long after we regained our memories."
"Thank you." Sonic thanked. "Good."
"Let's destroy Shatter and bring everything back to normal." Zavok declared.
The Zeti joins the Team Superstars, and Sonic used the glove to forcefully freeze the water into a path for the entire team and the Wisps to go to.
"The water melt down after a while, so you all hurry! Unless you can fly or swim fast, of course!" Sonic called. "I stole molecular speed to freeze the water, so run!"
Everyone ran with the path Sonic created. It's a long way but the team were able to traverse all the way through, taking nearly ten minutes of exhausting run and required assist.
"We're ashore." Sonic stopped. "There's so much... Grim pillars!"
"Well, that castle..." Nine looked up. "I regret it being mine. I never thought I would end up destroying the Shatterspaces until my Sonic and his friends..."
"The mysterious hedgehog clearly wants to do what you thought shouldn't. As in, destroy." Master Zik added. "And he's doing that and more to spit all of us."
"Oh, and I found this ring from consificated stuffs Shatter took. It's the only thing we stole." Zavok gave Sonic a magical ring. "It wishes the wearer good luck, unlimited."
"The ring! I recognize it!" Sonic snatched the ring. "Thank you so much!" *wears it* "Shahra?"
Sonic summoned Shahra, the genie of the ring.
"O Master of the ring, what is thy wish?"
"Shahra! I thought we lost you!" Sonic hugged Shahra, glad that she's still active. "Where did you go!? I'm so worried!"
"O Master... so much bad stuff went on..." Shahra crying. "That monster... he's even worse than Erazor Djinn!"
A mysterious man with spiky hair is watching the team, smugly smiling. "Well well well, looks like the gang has arrived... Sonic, welcome back."
"Chris, you found those fodders already?" Elise came by.
"Yes, most of them survived but seriously injured, but healed and reformed. Then they brought the Zeti and even that ring-genie." The man reported. "At least, the Resistance except that dumbass died, and their ship are wrecked. Our Tails can now wake up."
"Ooooh, you're saying the ship's why our Tails fell into coma?" Elise is surprised.
"Tend him back. Wake him up." The man requested. "Tell our lord about what I found. I'll deal with those goons."
"Sure." Elise flew to the castle.
"Sonic... you're back to meet me. I'm good. I'm in a paradise. I hope you like it." The man walked away. "Meet me at the lair. There's a surprise wait for you. While you last... I have met my new friend, who looks and sounds just like you, Sonic. He's better than you think. He is my savior. He is our savior. So please go to me and have fun with our lord. I'm waiting for you, Sonic..."
