Chapter One
August 1st, 2008
Day 1
The sun shone bright, bathing the world in its warm light. On summer days like this, most would be outside, barbecuing or playing at the beach. But for one man, it was the day of a job interview. This man was Xandar Lee. He stood at 5'5 and was 23 years old, with a round face and a bright smile. Today, he wore a black button up T-shirt, blue jeans and black dress shoes. He even added a black tie to sell the look of a hard worker.
The black tie was, sadly, not very visible with the shirt. But it did match his jet black hair, combed nicely with a swirl in the front. While walking, he remembered the conversation with his landlord.
"Xandar," Jim said with a stern expression. "You're a month late. If you don't pay me by the end of the week, I will have to ask you to leave the premises."
"I promise Jim," Xandar had said with a pleading look. "I'll get you the rent by the end of the week. An extra 5 percent will be included if you give me an extra day?" He asked hopefully.
"One, week," Jim finished dryly before walking back to his office.
Xandar took a deep breath and sighed. It's just a night job, he thought to himself with a positive mindset. Plus, it was the only one that payed 150 for one week. That would hopefully cover his rent. At least for the moment.
He stopped after his fifteen minute walk and looked up. The building was one story tall with a faded sign. The sign read, "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!" In big block letters. It was also covered in a few vines. He had been to this restaurant as a kid. He had nothing but good memories of the place. The jungle gym, the ball pit and the food, though now he compared it to cardboard. The pizza at least.
Upon entering, it was just like he remembered it. The smell of food and sweat filled the air. Kids were running around and having a blast, even a few parents were in joyful conversation. He made his way to the front desk where a bored woman sat.
The woman was looking at a cell phone with very little interest. "Excuse me miss?" Xandar began getting her attention.
"Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's," She said in a bored tone."
"Yes. Well," Xandar began thinking of his words. The woman turned to him with a look of annoyance. "I'm here for the job. Ya know, the night shift?" He asked hopefully. This got her attention.
"Ohhh, you're the one who called right? Xan-tam?" She inquired.
"Xandar ma'am," he replied with a kind smile. She nodded and pointed behind her.
"The manager's in there. Bob is a kind man, I'm sure he'll be nice to you." She explained.
"I see," Xandar replied. "Thank you miss," he addressed curtly walking away.
"Call me Charlie," she answered. "And good luck." Xandar took note of the serious tone and looked back.
"Thank you," he said in a confused tone before walking towards the office. He knocked on the door lightly, a bead of sweat dripped down his face. He was anxious. Conversation and meetings were not his thing. In fact, he almost feared them.
"Come in," a kind voice smooth as silk called out. Xandar took a deep breath and opened the door. The man in the desk chair was not what he expected. He was expecting a burly man, or a man with a hardened face, kind of like a drill sergeant you'd see on TV. The man before him was overweight and had a pudgy face, though kind in appearance.
Xandar took a few cautious steps, took a deep breath and sat in the chair in front of the desk. The man, presumably Bob, clasped his hands together and smiled at him. "How may I help you today young man?" He asked.
Xandar took another deep breath and coughed awkwardly. "I'm here about the job. The night guard." At those words Bob seemed to bristle and his face turned pale. Before Xandar could register what the look meant, Bob smiled.
"I see!" He said cheerfully. "Well, you seem very smart and kind. Tell me, have you ever stayed up late?" He inquired curiously.
"Only once or twice," Xandar replied. "The first was because I wanted to stay up all night. The second was a stomach ache. I would've slept otherwise."
Bob nodded and tapped his fingers on the desk. "I see," he answered. He pulled out a form. "This is your contract. A non-disclosure agreement and a waiver." Xandar raised an eyebrow. Bob coughed awkwardly. "Just in case a break in occurs. Though that hasn't happened yet!" Bob laughed despite the grim explanation.
Xandar nodded and signed the paper. "When do I start?" He asked.
Bob smiled. "Tonight, if you can." Xandar smiled for the first time in almost an hour. Taking the smile as a good sign, Bob continued to speak. "There will be a phone call waiting for you. An introductory meeting on what you can expect to see as a night watchman." Xandar smiled again.
"I'll make you proud sir."

Night 1
The uniform was pretty basic, containing a badge which read "Fazbear Security," a hat that read security and a black shirt and pants. Xandar thought it was overkill, but didn't complain. He had a new job, so he shouldn't be ungrateful, right? As he walked to the restaurant, he couldn't help but feel a chill. It was late August, so he didn't question it.
Xandar approached the building at precisely 11:50 PM. With a sigh, he opened the door and took a look around. The atmosphere completely changed at night. What was a place of joy and excitement in the day, was reduced to a creepy and forlorn darkness.
Ignoring the shiver crawling down his spine, he made his way towards the office. Upon walking in, he had a disgusted look. Wads of paper and empty cups littered the room. There was also a creepy cupcake with eyes perched on the desk. Seeing it made Xandar cringe.
He then saw what his boss mentioned as well. A tablet that connected to security cameras across the building. Right as Xandar sat down, the phone rang causing him to jump.
"Hello?" He asked picking up the receiver. As he said hello a second time, he remembered it was nothing more than a recorded message.
"Hello? Hello, hello!" The voice said. "I just wanted to record a message for you, to help you get settled in for your first night." The voice then went on to explain the ins and outs of Freddy's. Xandar opened up the tablet and switched the camera from the Show Stage to the Dining Hall.
He had to admit, the place looked freakier at night and that wasn't including the security camera footage. As he flipped through, he opened up his water bottle he brought and took a swig. He sighed, content to be rehydrated and continued looking around.
The minute the clock struck 3, things changed. Xandar took another swig of water and looked at the Show Stage camera. What he saw, made him gasp loudly. Bonnie wasn't there!
Jaw dropped, Xandar checked the other cameras and his heart stopped on the Dining Hall. Bonnie was standing and staring at the camera.
"What the-" Xandar started to say trying to process whatever was going on. He went back to the phone and replayed the message.
"The animatronic characters are left in a free roaming mode at night," The voice said causing Xandar to take a deep breath. But then, the part he should've listened to replayed.
"-The characters will try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit."
Xandar tried to calm himself down. "This has to be a joke. This can't be real!" He tried to say to himself.
Clank, clank.
Xandar's heart stopped and he turned to the door. Taking slow, cautious steps, He pressed the door light button...and promptly screamed. Bonnie was staring in at him. He pressed the door button and a giant metal door slammed shut.
"What the hell?" He gasped in fear. He looked at the tablet and saw the power percentage. Fifteen percent. He remembered at least, that the message said the lights would go dark. But does that mean...the doors will open!? Realizing this, Xandar checked the time. 5:55. Two percent now.
He closed his eyes the minute the percentage went down to one.
Ding! Ding!
Xandar screamed in shock. After a minute of heavy breathing, he realized, logically, his phone went off. It was 6 AM. He checked the cameras again and everything was normal. Could he have dreamed it? What the hell was going on!?

Morning
Xandar went home, visibly shaken. Something was wrong with Freddy's. He decided he was going to rest and figure this out later. If only he could get some rest after what happened...
