Ahsoka walked through the dark streets of Coruscant, her arms were folded as the temperature had dropped since the sun had set, despite this, the streets and traffic were still plentiful. Background noise prominent all around her, the familiar buzz of speeders and ships were flowing above her, mumbling of conversations echoed through the streets. All this noise you would think would drown out the noise of her thoughts, however it only made them louder. Her emotions were threatening to succumb her, she was ready to break after everything that had happened previously, but none of that mattered, her real stress was telling Lux she was carrying his child. Ahsoka was worried about Lux's reaction, they had not seen each other since she left Onderon nearly three months ago. His recent promotion to Senator weighed heavy on her mind too, he still hadn't had time to adjust to that yet and she was about to drop this bombshell on him. Regardless, she had to tell him. Her child was also his, he needed to know.

Her main priority now was her baby, no longer the Jedi or their morals. This would take some time for her to adjust to as she had to process this significant change, as it will take time to heal from her recent ordeal. Ahsoka would hate to admit this, but her trial has left her extremely fragile and vulnerable, and she would need to deal with this at her own pace and slowly recover from the trauma. In relation to her adjusting to her new way of life, it has shifted her perspective of the Jedi, how she was told that attachment was strictly forbidden but she has found herself forming bonds with individuals in her life and now was the time to embrace them. She knew this was not going to be easy as her entire life had just changed overnight, but she was aware of what she needed to do.

She found herself aimlessly walking around Padme's apartment complex, she knew Lux had been staying with her when he was not staying off world. She also knew that Lux was there as she saw him during her trial a few hours ago, shed just needed to pluck up the courage to go. Stopping in her tracks, Ahsoka took a deep breath and headed up to the apartment, her heart beating immensely. When she arrived at the door, she paused for a moment and tried to hold herself together. She knocked hesitantly. Padme answered the door after a few moments, dressed in her night gown and her hair down, she gasped.

"Oh, my goodness, Ahsoka, come in! You must be freezing." She threw her arms around the Togruta and pulled her into her home. Padme rushed to find a blanket to wrap around Ahsoka, she sat her down on her comfy chair. Ahsoka did not speak, she kept clenching her jaw to stop herself from breaking down. Padme sat down beside her and pulled her into a small hug.

"Are you okay, Ahsoka? Why are you here?" The senator questioned. Ahsoka turned to look at her, a tear finally escaped her eye, showing her delicate mental state.

"I left, Padme." Was all she could say.

"Oh, Ahsoka. I am so sorry." Padme whispered as she pulled her into a tight embrace, Ahsoka returned the motion and closed her eyes. The two women held one another for a few moments. Ahsoka finally opened her eyes and saw Lux standing a few steps behind the sofa, his face concerned. The ex-Jedi released herself from the embrace and stood up, blanket loosely draped over her shoulders. She and Lux just gazed at each other for a short while, until they both paced towards each other and met in an embrace. Ahsoka crumbled against Lux's touch and finally let herself break down. Lux just held her and soothed her. They were together again.

"It's okay, Ahsoka. You're safe now." He whispered to her, she was crying uncontrollably against him now, making Lux hold her tighter, he placed a hand on the back of Lekku Padme watched the young couple with sad eyes, she was glad to see them together again but not due to the circumstances. Ahsoka finally calmed down and pulled away from Lux, her cheeks were tear stained and eyes red and puffy. Lux brought her over to the sofa and helped her down, he sat down beside her and pulled the blanket up back over her shoulders, Padme shuffled closer to them both. She took Ahsoka's hand in her own.

"I have nowhere to go." Ahsoka whimpered.

"You can stay here as long as you need, Ahsoka." She smiled at her friend. Ahsoka forced a weak smile and breathed a thanks.

"You can always stay with me on Onderon if you need." Lux spoke, offering his support. The three of them huddled together, Ahsoka moved to rest her head on Lux's shoulder.

"They abandoned me, they were too busy blaming me that they couldn't see the real culprit right in front of them." Ahsoka began to rant, expressing her mixture of emotions. "And then they had the nerve to excuse what they had done, not even a proper apology, nothing." Padme and Lux sat quietly as they listened to Ahsoka, she needed to get this off her chest.

"I couldn't stay there, not after everything, Obi-Wan didn't even apologise, Anakin…" She stopped herself as her thoughts drifted to her former master, her tears began to flow again. "I just left Anakin there, I didn't even say goodbye. I just left." The guilt of leaving Anakin behind after everything was too much, he was the only Jedi to stand by her and defend her and how did she repay him?

"Not to mention the real culprit was my friend," Her thoughts then shifted to anger towards Barriss. "She said she was trying to help me, when really she was trying to frame me. I thought we were friends." The room fell silent, Padme and Lux were unsure of what to say. They stayed silent. They knew she had been through so much this last week, but seeing Ahsoka like this was heart breaking, she truly was broken. Ahsoka felt she was being irrational, but she had to rant, her hormones were running wild and were contributing to her state. She began to calm down now she had let her feelings out.

"We're always here for you." Padme said softly.

"Thank you." She muttered. The two of them clung to Ahsoka to show her their support, her head was still resting on Lux. Tiredness began to take over her, her eyes fluttered closed, and she drifted into a slumber. Padme noticed and slowly slipped away.

"You go rest, Padme. I'll stay here with Ahsoka." Padme nodded.

"Goodnight, Lux, make sure she's okay." With that, she retired for the night. Lux sat upright and let Ahsoka curl up and use his body as a pillow, he was uncomfortable, but he was content with knowing Ahsoka was finally getting to sleep. He shut his own eyes and slipped into a sleep himself.

Lux awoke multiple times in the night, he constantly checked on Ahsoka and she was still sleeping soundly below him. The sun had begun to rise, and Lux watched as the skyline of Coruscant was visible and no longer just shadows. He thought about Ahsoka during the time he was awake, he could feel how vulnerable she was, and he felt helpless in trying to support her, but was going to help her regardless Obviously, he was going to be by her side during her recovery and would stop at nothing to see her improve. He watched her as she slept, watching her body rise and fall with each breath and smiled, relief washed over him as she was finally getting some much-needed rest. Ahsoka stirred, she blinked and looked up to Lux.

"Morning, 'Soka." He said, memories came back to him of that morning on Onderon when they spent the night together. He enjoyed waking up with her, it was a level of intimacy that was rare to him. Ahsoka blinked to sleep from her eyes and looked up to the senator, she propped herself up and smiled at him. She sat beside him.

"How're you feeling?" Lux questioned.

"Rough." Was all she replied, it was the first time she had rested in days and her emotions were only fuelling her tiredness. Lux chuckled lightly, which cause Ahsoka to smile. The two just sat together in silence and watched the sun rise over Coruscant. Lux thought again of helping Ahsoka through this difficult time, and how he would love to get her away from it all but did not want her to feel pressured to come with him, he wanted it to be her choice. He was leaving Coruscant today and meeting with King Dendup, he considered it to be the right thing for Ahsoka to join him and have some down time on Onderon and again, he wanted it to be her decision.

"I'm leaving for Onderon today," He breached, eyes glued out of the window. "Now there's no pressure, but if you'd like to join me then you are more than welcome." Ahsoka beamed.

"Of course, I need to leave this planet." Lux turned to her and grinned, the couple smiled at one another when Ahsoka's nausea kicked in. She thought she had seen the last of this. Ahsoka darted for the refresher and vomited, Lux sprang up and followed her. She had shut the door. Once she had finished, panic began to settle in. Lux still had no idea about her pregnancy and now she's just shown him some cause for concern. The commotion had awoken Padme, and she had joined Lux at the refresher door.

"Everything okay, Ahsoka?" Padme peered. Ahsoka mustered the strength to stand up and wipe her face.

"Yes, I'm fine," She hailed, clearly faking her cheeriness. Ahsoka exited the refresher, her face pale. "I think my body is just telling me that I need to rest." She lied. Padme didn't buy it, Lux was oblivious.

"I should probably sleep some more before we leave." She said as she headed back toward to sofa. Lux and Padme looked at each other confused and concerned.

"Are you sure going to Onderon is a good idea?" Padme poked at Lux. "I don't think she's well enough to travel." Lux replied in a hushed tone.

"I think she needs to get away from Coruscant for a while, she's been through too much."

"As long as she's okay, I'm just worried about her."

"I know, Padme. She'll be safe with me."

*'*'

Ahsoka had awoken from her nap, energy levels refreshed and ready to leave Coruscant and all of this behind. She would have to work on processing her grief and trauma from the events she had endured, but for now, she was just happy to leave and be with a familiar face. Lux and herself had left Padme's complex and were ready to depart for Onderon, after Padme had fussed her and let her know she was always welcome and to look after herself. Ahsoka appreciated her kind words, they were needed and provided her with comfort.

Lux had a small ship waiting for the two of them on a small platform, they made their way aboard the ship. There was a small quarters with a cot and a cockpit, a simple ship provided by the Senate. Lux sat down in the pilot seat and began to punch in the coordinates, Ahsoka sat behind him in the co-pilot chair, she viewed her surroundings and was impressed by the ships spec. Everything was impeccable, it was all shiny and new. Ahsoka watched as they left the atmosphere, she was thankful she was about to embark on a new journey.

Now that they were underway, Ahsoka began to prepare herself for what she must tell Lux. The two sat in the cockpit of the small ship, he set up the autopilot and plunged them into hyperspace. He swivelled his seat around to face Ahsoka.

"We have a few hours to kill before we get to Onderon." Lux announced, Ahsoka smiled and nodded at him from the passenger seat. She was quiet but her thoughts were loud. This was her chance to tell Lux that she was pregnant.

"Lux, there's something I need to talk to you about." She stuttered, Lux leaned forward and reached his hand over to Ahsoka's.

"You can tell me anything." He smiled. Ahsoka studied him and pushed his hand away, afraid that he could feel her hand becoming sweaty. Standing up, she turned around and started to take deep breaths. "What is it, Ahsoka? You're worrying me."

Here goes nothing. She thought.

"I'm pregnant, Lux." Voice trembling, fearing to turn and face him. Silence fell upon them, Ahsoka still not daring to face Lux.

"W-what?" Was all he could say, Ahsoka plucked up the courage to face the father of her child. His face was pale, and he was clearly in shock.

"It happened the night I left Onderon." Lux was still in shock and trying to connect the dots.

"How long have you known?"

"I only found whilst I was on the run." He just stared at her, worry starting to take over.

"Is the baby okay?" Panic in his tone. Ahsoka placed a hand over her abdomen and felt the child through the Force.

"Don't worry, our baby is fine." She smiled; her expression changed. "Please don't be mad." She pleaded. Lux took a step closer and gently pulled Ahsoka into an embrace, he could feel how tense she was.

"Oh, Ahsoka… you're… this is…" Lux struggled to find the words. He pulled back and looked at her in complete awe. The young senator had absolutely no words, he just stood there, mouth agape trying to formulate a sentence.

"I can't believe it." He finally spoke, moving his arms around her waist.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I've only just started processing it myself and… and with the trial and the Jedi." She started sputtering, still tense against Lux's touch.

"It's okay, Ahsoka, I'm going to be processing it for a while too. Relax." Ahsoka released her body from tensing and started to calm herself. She had done it; she had told Lux that she was pregnant, and he seemed to take the news well. Lux was concerned about the stress she had endured and the possible risks it could have on her pregnancy. The news had shocked him if he was honest, he never thought this could be a possibility, but he was going to become a father and Ahsoka a mother. He was hesitant in asking Ahsoka to accompany him to his home planet, but he now understands why she wanted to come along. It would take him some time to get his head around the fact he was going to be a father, as it would for Ahsoka too, but it was a journey he could not wait to begin.
