Destiny is a funny thing. Fate, too. They can make or break a human simply by the daily choices that one makes, which, in turn, affect the course of their lives forever. By making one decision, and by choosing a specific path, a human can gain experiences and knowledge, meet people, collect memories, and discover new dreams or goals that they would never have gained if they had not taken that path. One can only surmise whether it leads to regret or relief.

Such is the case of one Snotlout Jorgenson.

With one fateful conversation with his father, Snotlout will make the decision that will change his life forever, and will also affect the Jorgenson clan for generations to come.

This is his story — the story of this young Viking's choice. Here me now, the Teller of Tales, as I regale you of his adventures!

This is the Iron Mongers' Saga (Járnglaumar saga/Járnrekkar saga).

Author's Note: Hey, guys, I'm back... after a VERY long hiatus! *Nervous laughter* Yeah, sorry about that. 😅 I had planned on writing a bunch of fics for our 3 favorite pairings, but... I got distracted with other Fandoms, and before I knew it, 2023 became 2024 in a short time. 😭

Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, I plan on setting a goal of 30 fanfics to write and post by the end of this year. Let's see if I can surpass that! 😤

As for this story, you can consider this to be a Snotlout Leaves Berk AU trope along with this being a Saga AU. And since this chapter is so short, there'll be two or three more chapters to go with this to make up for it. Or maybe more if I feel like the story needs to be longer.

Would you like this AU to be WITHOUT dragons or WITH dragons? Without dragons will be human-only and will be more Saga-like, whilst keeping the dragons in the HTTYD world won't affect too much, except that the Dragon raids will continue.

I'll also be posting another Minlout fanfic and also a Ruffthrok fanfic soon.

Thank you guys for your patience and I hope to see you in later chapters.
