Ben 10 Ultimate Summer EP 32: Game Over

Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Ben 10!"
2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.
"Ben 10!"
3: XLR8 zooms into the right.
4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.
"Ben 10!"
5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Ben 10!"
"Ben 10!"
6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.
7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.
"Ben 10!"
8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.
"Ben 10!"
9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.
10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.
"Ben 10!"
Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.
Ben gave a low-five at his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.
He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kids' sides, 5 on each side just as the title appears in a black background with green rays appearing from the title.
The Rust Bucket is parked near the Grand Canyon as the Tennysons were getting ready for a nature hike through one of the wonders of the United States. Well, all except Ben that is. For the boy is busy, playing a video game on the flatscreen TV. The kid spoke in his headset as he mashed the buttons on his controller. "Okay! I took out the hoppers! Now we just need to get past the bridge and we're gold!" The boy grins as he is playing an armored sci-fi soldier wearing black and grey armor, oversized square shoulder pads, LED lights on his shoulder straps and side knee guards and gauntlets, and a matching helmet with a visor the same shade as the lights. With him are 2 other soldiers and a female that is half the size of the male soldiers. Her armor is more women-built and her shoulder pads are smaller and more rounded.
"Now, Ben... I'm not sure why you want to play your games when the beauty of the great outdoors is just waiting?" Max asked as Gwen asked while she and Max were dressed and packed for their hike. "Yeah, Ben! Are you going to waste today, playing that stupid game?" Ben overheard and took off his headset as he paused his game and glanced at his family in disbelief. "Stupid game? Gwen, this is "Hero's Duty: Battle Squad", one of the best games of our generation! It's based on the smash hit arcade game, that gave this game life! It's been voted the 'Game of the Year', that's how awesome it is!" He grins out.
He got his headset back on but lifted his microphone so he wouldn't talk to his online friends by mistake as he resumed the game. "Me and my squad are trying to save Humanity from the menace of the Cy-Bug race and take down their queen, once and for all!" Ben exclaims as his character and the others are fighting a giant robotic mantis monster as the boss. "And when you think about it, getting new hero skills as well! Skills that can help me out! After all, you might never know if Dr. Animo will create a giant mantis mutant." Ben spoke as they kept fighting, only for the boss to breathe out a deadly acid laser beam that disintegrated Ben's character and the others, making them lose.
"Uhh... Right?" Ben blinked at what he saw. Gwen sighs as she and Max exit the RV. "Why does Ben want to play such a trash game?" "You know, when I was a kid, they called TV, 'Zombie Boxes'." Max points out as Gwen frowns. "Well, that's a big box of zombies in there." Only for the girl to notice some storm clouds approaching as she got a worried look. "Are you sure we should be doing this, Grandpa?" But Max just hugs his granddaughter with a grin. "Come on, now! We're not going to let a couple of clouds keep us coupled up in the Rust Bucket all day, Gwen! Where's your pioneer spirit?" The 2 then hikes off into the Canyon.
Ben, on the other hand, managed to restart his character as he brought his microphone down. "Sorry about that, guys. Had to talk to some people on my end. So, you up for a rematch on this boss?"
In Paris, France, a blond-haired, green-eyed male teen who is dressed like a model spoke in his headphones as he sat in his huge room in a mansion. "Yep! And this time, we're ready for Cyber-Mantis!" He then heard munching and glanced off to the side to see a small, black being with a big head resembling a cat. "Seriously, Plagg? Do you have to eat so loudly while I'm playing?" "You know me and my cheese, kid. Can't get enough of the gooeyness!" Plagg licks his lips, lifts a very smelly cheese, and stuffs it in his mouth as the teen is disgusted. "Anyway, I'm ready to go again, Ben10K! LawPaw02, you there?"
In a small, seaside town that leads into the ocean, there stood a tall white, blue, and red tower with the Paw Patrol symbol on it, a periscope on top, and a slide around it. At the top floor of the Lookout, Chase sat in front of the large video screen with a headset and a controller in front that looked more like an Arcade-style gamepad, due to his lack of thumbs. "Copy that, BlackClaw13! I'm on the case! But, where's our leader, CodeShimmer?" Chase asked he looked confused as a girl's voice could be heard. "Right here, boys."
A teen girl with red and yellow hair that looked like fire sat in front of a plasma screen in her PJs on a beanbag-like couch. "Okay, clearly attacking Cyber-Mantis up front didn't work. So, we're going to try the back way and sneak attack him from behind. I've got a plan to do that, so listen up!" She smiles.
Ben kept playing while he listened to CodeShimmer's plan. "Okay, first: Ben 10K is going to-" But all of a sudden, the TV went all static as Ben blinked as he breathed. "What the... Guys! Are you there? Guys!? But the kid frowns as he is not getting a signal as he taps on his headphones. The boy took them off as he glanced out the window and frowned at the storm clouds above. "Great! Piece of junk TV can't handle a little bad weather, and now I'm logged out of the squad before CodeShimmer can tell us the plan!"
But as the boy sits and pouts with crossed arms, he glances at the Ultimatrix and gets an idea! "'Piece of junk TV' huh? Well, in that case..." Ben twists the dial and slaps down on the glove, turning into Upgrade. "Time for an Upgrade!" Upgrade merges with the TV and then spreads towards the satellite dish on top, enhancing it as it now looks more like a space station satellite.
Back inside, the game came back on as Upgrade stretched his neck out and looked at the screen. "All right! Back online! And it's so clear, now! I should have done this earlier. Now then, let's see about that boss." Upgrade narrows his eye ring. He then used his tech powers to super-enhance his avatar and used the new weapons to destroy the boss. "ALL RIGHT!" Upgrade cheers, but the other 3 players were flabbergasted at what they saw. "What the?" "How did he?" "What just happened?"
But just then, a bolt of lightning struck the dish on top and surged through the cables, hitting Upgrade as he cried out in pain. But that's not all, as during the power surge, a beam shot out of the dish, flew through the air, and started moving at rabid speeds toward 3 different locations. The beams then hit the other 3 players' screens and they got confused. But before anyone can do anything, 4 flashes of light from each TV come out, and they die down to reveal that Upgrade, Chase, and the 2 teens are gone and the only things remaining are their headsets and controllers. "Kid? Adrien?" Plagg as he blinks and looks around, not knowing what happened.
Upgrade felt his head being fuzzy as he shook it, clearing his vision, only to blink in surprise at what he saw! Instead of his cozy RV, he saw that he was in some sort of large canyon that had dark grey and black rocks and dirt everywhere as the skies themselves looked bleak and dark as if they were ready to rain at any minute. Upgrade swerves his head all around, wondering where he is because he is pretty sure the Grand Canyon does not look so bleak.
Just then, to his shock, 3 digital outlines appear next to him, only to form into 3 different beings. They reveal themselves as Adrien and the girl, now decked out in their avatars' armor, matching helmets included! The girl's armor has a red helmet visor, LED lights, and a sticker on her right shoulder pad that looks like a red and yellow sunset. Adrien's armor has a yellow visor, LED lights, and a sticker that looks like a pair of green cat eyes with a claw mark that cuts diagonally on his left pad.
But as Upgrade looks at the last being, to his surprise, it is Chase! His armor has been modified to fit his canine body, including an armored tail and his helmet has ears as well. Only he is now bigger, going up from his original height of 2 feet to 3 and a half feet. His LED lights and visor are blue and his sticker is on his right pad, which is the Paw Patrol symbol in police colors with police lights on top and handcuffs that curve at the bottom colored in blue and his yellow star in the bottom part of the paw print.
"Whoa... What happened?" The girl asked as she rubbed her head while Adrien rubbed his eyes with his fingers and Chase shook his head off any dizziness. Adrian then saw his armored hand and exclaimed while he looked down at himself. "What the?! Why am I dressed like my avatar!?" Chase examines himself and notices his new height. "Whoa... I'm bigger now! Cool!" The 2 teens turned toward the voice and were surprised at Chase's appearance. "What the?! A talking tiny dog?!" "Actually, sir, I'm a puppy!" Chase smiles as the girl blinks. "I don't believe... Another talking dog, other than Spike. Twilight is going to flip when she hears about this! Speaking of... Where are we?"
As the girl looked around, Adrien and Chase spotted Upgrade and they quietly went over to him. "Ben? Is that you? It's been a while." Chase smiles as Upgrade pets him. "Yeah, good to see you too, little guy." "Ben, why are you that... Uhh... Tech alien?" Adrian asked as Upgrade corrected. "It's Upgrade and... Hey, how did you know who I am? Wait a sec..." Upgrade zooms into Adrien for a closer look as the teen gets a little worried.
"You know... Put a mask on you and... Wait a second! Cat Noir?! Is that you?" "What! No! No way! I have no idea what you're talking about!" Adrien grins as his eyes dart left and right. But Upgrade looks at him with a flat-eye ring as the teen sighs. "Okay... You got me. How did you figure it out?" "Well, it's mainly the fact that you and Cat Noir both have blonde hair in almost the same style, plus that sticker on your pad and your online name kinda gave it away." Upgrade points as Adrien slumps with a frown. "Note to self: Change username later."
"Wait a minute. Aren't you that black cat-themed superhero from Paris me and my friends heard about on the internet?" Chase asked as Adrien just nodded. The girl then came over as she spoke out. "You know... Now that I remember, I recall a strange massive power surge coming from my TV before waking up here." "Yeah... Same thing with me." "Me too!" Chase added as Upgrade gulped as he realized that when that lightning bolt hit him, he must have accidentally downloaded him and these 3 into the game! "And this looks like Crawler Canyon from the game. Wait! You guys thinking what I am thinking?" Adrien asked as the girl nodded as she spoke out. "That power surge must have somehow zapped us into the video game!"
Chase blinks in shock as he cries out. "Wait! Really?! You're saying we're inside "Hero's Duty: Battle Squad"? Cool!" "I know! Wicked awesome!" Upgrade cheers as he looks around in amazement. Just then, the girl heard a noise as she glanced behind her, only to gasp at a bunch of green, glowing eyes in the dark caves in the canyon walls. "Not for long!"
The others noticed as out of the shadows, came large bio-robotic insect aliens, that resembled Silverfish. They have 4 large eyes with multiple, glowing green eyes in them, 4 sharp pinchers around their big mouths, that have rotating razor-sharp teeth and blades with neon-green glowing inside, and lastly have 6 sharp legs, 2 glowing tails, and lastly, 4 retractable wings that are hologram-like and glow the same shade of green. The beings hissed and growled at the 4 as they recognized them as Cy-Bugs: The alien villains of the game!
"Whoa! The Cy-Bugs!" Adrien exclaims as Chase hides behind his leg with a scared look as the beings crawl down the walls to surround them. "You know, they look a lot scarier in here than outside the game." But Upgrade was not worried as he looked around and scoffed. "What? Are you guys scared of these things? They're just foot soldier bugs! These things are so Level 1!" "Tell that to the rhino beetle!" Adrian states as Upgrade asked. "What rhino beetle?" "THAT ONE!" The 3 yell at the same time as Upgrade looks ahead and sees a large charging, rhino beetle Cy-Bug, barreling towards the alien as it tackles him!
But luckily, Upgrade recovers and quickly merges with the beast, taking control of it and also enhancing it as well! Upgrade then smashed his way through more Cy-Bugs, sending them flying as they screeched while they exploded into green dust as bits and parts of them scattered. Upgrade then unmerged and then took over and shocked another bug near the others that were about to sneak attack them. As Upgrade left, the bug shut down and collapsed.
Sunset and Adrien start flipping and jumping, landing kicks and punches around as they notice the video game has enhanced their bodies and skills, making them able to knock out alien robotic bugs that are twice their size! But Chase is too busy running around, trying to avoid Cy-Bugs, because he never fought aliens before! Sure, he fought mutants back on Animo's farm, but this is way different! Just then, a bug blocks his path as Chase screams and braces for impact, but when he headbutts the Cy-Bug, he is surprised to see it sending back as Chase notices he is okay!
The pup looks at himself and quickly leaps up in instinct, only to notice he jumped 4 times his size and is leaping from Cy-Bug to Cy-Bug with amazing reflexes. He then growls as he bites the tail of one bug and starts swinging it around, using it like a club to bash the other bugs away and then releases it as well. "Wow! I'm faster, stronger, and tougher than I was! This is awesome!"
He then noticed his front paw armor grow sharp, retractable energy claws as it became more hand-like. Chase is amazed as he flexes and moves it like it is a real hand. "Wow..." He saw more bugs coming towards him as he leaped up and slashed away with his claws, tearing through Cy-Bugs like they were tissue paper. Chase noticed his new paw could grab and hold onto things like a human hand does. "I'm liking these new claws!"
Chase then meets up with the other 2 teens, just as Upgrade shorts out another bug and looks around. "This isn't a challenge, it's a slaughter fest!" "Oh, sure... And it's real tough when you can control the entire game as Upgrade." Adrien frowns as the alien pokes his chest. "Jealous, much?" "Look out!" Sunset cries out as a Cy-Bug tries to chomp them, but Upgrade merely grabs it and narrows his eye ring. "Sayonara, suckers!" He then turns the bug into a laser cannon and blasts a huge green beam that pretty much annihilates all the enemies.
Upgrade absorbs the cannon as they all gazed at the smoking remains of what was once a fearsome alien monster army. "Oh, yeah! You all just got exterminated! Ben's the best! Forget the rest!" "Don't how you did all that, but thanks!" Sunset smiles at the alien as she then goes to investigate some remains as the boys frown at Upgrade. "Wait a second... Ben, did you use Upgrade to beat Cyber-Mantis before?" Surprised by Chase's claim, Upgrade felt nervous as he tapped his fingers. "Uhh..." "You did! You cheated, didn't you?!"
The alien then admits to the puppy. "Okay! Okay... But I was trying to help! I mean, we were stuck on Cyber-Mantis for 3 days! You guys said you do anything to beat that boss!" "Yeah! But we didn't mean cheating as well." Adrien then reminds them of the situation. "We'll talk more about it in the real world. Right now, since Upgrade can control everything in the game, how about using him to get us back home before something-" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH
"... Like that happens." Chase deadpans as Adrien facepalms as Ben looks at himself, realizing he timed out. "Uh, oh." Ben glanced at himself, now clad in his very own armor. He noticed his LED lights and visor are green and has 2 stickers on his pads, one for each. His right one has the Ultimatrix symbol with the number 10 in the middle in white colors while his left pad has a Sumo Slammer sticker.
"Great! now what do we do?!" "Relax, Chase! We'll just hang out until my watch is recharged, then I'll go Upgrade again! No problem." Ben smiles as he gestures to the Ultimatrix, now part of his left gauntlet as the dial is between the 2 grill lights on said gauntlet. He then starts twisting the dial, only to notice the hourglass is white instead of green and nothing is happening. "Okay... Maybe there is a problem?" "What happened to your aliens? Where are they?" Adrien asked as the teen and pup noticed the dial as Ben shook the gauntlet, but that didn't work as well.
"Oh, no! No aliens and superpowers!? How are we going to get home, now?!" Chase asked in dismay. "Relax, you 2! It's just a game, no one gets hurt for real. Besides, we've played this level a ton of times! Nothing can surprise us..." Sunset joins up with the others as Ben walks ahead from the group and turns back with a smile. "See? Nothing bad has happened at all!"
But just then, something large burst out of the ground behind him and slammed down on the boy, making the 3 others flinch as they glanced in surprise. His helmet came out of the smoke and rolled to a stop before the 3. "Whoa... Didn't see that coming." Sunset mumbles. The boys nodded as well as they all had wide eyes. Just then, the helmet vanished in a flash of light.
The others were shocked, only for Ben to appear beside them as the boy groans and rubs his head. "I don't want to do that again..." But as the kid rubs his head, one of the 3 lights on his belt buckle, which are small squares in the same shade as his LED lights in an upside-down triangle pattern, dims as the others notice. They glanced at their belts while Chase noticed he was on a collar and saw they all had 2 glowing lights with one turned off.
"We all have 2 lives left. Something tells me that if we lose all of them, it would be game over, for good!" Sunset states as Ben checks himself in response. Just then, Chase heard a noise as he looks the side and saw something moving out of the smoke. "Uhh, guys? Remind me again: What was the boss monster of this level?" Adrien answers. "If I recall correctly, it's a giant Cy-Bug scorpion. Why you asked?" "Because it's here and looks hungry!" Chase exclaims as he points ahead.
Out of the smoke came a hulking, giant Cy-Bug in the shape of a scorpion! The beast roared as it feasted its hungry eyes on the 4 players. "RUN!" Sunset exclaims as the 4 leap away, barely avoiding the tail piercing the ground. The Cy-Scorpion crawls after them as the 4 run towards a wall, only for a couple of Cy-Bugs to burst out of the ground in front as 2 more surround them. Sunset quickly spins and kicks one away as Adrien delivers a hi-kick that knocks another bug on its back. Chase then chomps on the leg and throws it as hard as he can at the wall, making it explode on impact. Ben quickly dodged a claw swipe from another bug and slammed his elbow down to dent the bug and make it collapse.
Only for another bug to tackle him as Ben bounced away. As the 10-year-old slowly recovers, Sunset leaps in and knocks two more bugs away. Oh, man! There are too many! We need to find..." The 10-year-old looks around for something to help, only to spot something up on a ledge. "A weapons box! Up there!" The kid exclaims as he leaps, jumps, and climbs up while the others notice and join him.
Ben got to the box and kicked it open, displaying a gun rack with 4 hi-tech future plasma guns standing in it. "Dibs on the assault rifle with the grenade launcher!" Ben grins as he grabs one of the guns: An assault rifle that doesn't have a stock, red LED lights on the sides, and a bigger under barrel than the top one. "Well, I want the rifle that's got the shotgun second function!" Adrien smiles as he grabs another rifle that looks somewhat similar to Ben's gun, but longer as the under barrel sticks out a bit longer than the top, but both are the same size.
The 2 boys leap down to the ground and both run and charge with battle cries, unleashing laser fire that destroys the Cy-bugs all around as they both run and gun all over the place. Chase and Sunset watch them both and go back to the last 2 guns in the box. The girl grabbed one and saw it was a different rifle with a scope on top. "Looks like I get Calhoun's rifle, cool!" "But what about me? I don't have any hands to hold my weapon." Chase asked as he gestured to his lack of opposable thumbs. But just then, something appears from his back and grabs the last weapon.
Chase is surprised to see a robotic arm attached to his back, allowing him to handle his new gun. Chase's new weapon is shorter than the other guns and has an ammo drum underneath and its top barrel is bigger than its bottom one. "Wow! That's convenient." Chase smiles. "Tell me about it.." Sunset states as they look back to see Ben and Adrien take out the last of the bugs with their secondary weapons with Ben's being a grenade launcher and Adrien's a shotgun with a good spread and range.
But just then, the Cy-Scorpion appears behind them and raises its claws, ready to cut them into pieces, only for a laser blast to nail it in the eye, making it screech in pain as it steps back. "Both boys glanced over as Sunset had a smoking rifle while Chase leaped down onto a rock, aimed his gun, and fired, nailing the face with tons of laser bullets. The monster gave one last screech and collapsed, breaking into pieces as a boss bonus that rewarded 100,000 points to both Sunset and Chase.
The 2 look at the boys with smirks as Ben blinks. "Whoa... How did you do that?" "Yeah! That was amazing!" Adrien smiles. Chase fires at a couple more bugs as he explains. "That's because its face was the weak point." "Yeah..." Sunset said as she shot another one. "Don't you guys remember? We fought that boss a hundred times." The other 2 took down 2 more bugs as they both spoke at the same time. "We knew that."
Just then, Sunset gasped as she ran up toward a large metal platform, that looked like it was part of a rail system. "We can take this transport to the next level! Hop on!" The boys followed and got on as Sunset pushed a button on the console that activated the transport, making her quickly get on as it then took off. The group glanced back to see the machine was leaving Crawler Canyon as a few Cy-Bugs watched them.
The group of 4 took this moment to relax and catch their breaths as they flipped open their visors, breathing out sighs while they put their weapons on their backs, or in Chase's case, the robot arm retracts with his gun being pointed upward on his back. "We can take a breather, for a while." Sunset mumbles. The 4 just kept resting as the transport kept moving. Eventually, after a bit, they noticed the transport slowly coming to a stop. The 4 stood back up and got off the transport once it stopped.
The 4 saw they had arrived at the 2nd level, which is a huge, bridge area that has 2 large pathways that connect to a facility and to a huge 100-floor tall tower that is the secret research lab of the game world. "The lab where the Cy-Bugs were first created... Okay, what do we do now?" Adrien asked the others, only for the 4 to spot a group of flying Cy-Bugs with 4 fast-flapping wings that are made out of energy, the same shade as their eye color, and have lightbulb tails, appearing behind them and hovering above. "Zappers!" Chase cries out in recognition of some of the enemy types of the game.
One of them charges up and fires a bolt of lightning as the 4 quickly leap and dodge it. Ben exclaims to the others. "Keep moving and stay alive! Duh!" "Good plan! I like that plan!" Sunset exclaims as they dash to the bridge. The 4 brought out their weapons and fired back at the group, nailing a bunch of them, only to get replaced by a few more Zappers. They all leap onto the left bridge and land as 2 bugs dive down and try to chomp them, but one gets shot down by Ben while Adrian nails the other with a close-range shotgun blast.
The 4 start running as fast as their legs can carry while shooting more Cy-Bugs that show up on the bridge, on foot. All while being chased by the flying, lightning-shooting bugs, flying above. The group of 4 were doing great as they made progress. Just then, they stopped at one of the platform bridges that allows players to jump across to switch between either the left or right bridge. But what got their attention was another power-up box near the right bridge.
Sunset and Adrien decide to provide cover fire as they turn back and shoot at more Cy-Bugs as Ben and Chase nod at each other. The pup climbs onto Ben's back and then on his shoulder as he holds onto the kid's helmet. The boy makes super leaps across the platforms while Chase shoots down any Cy-Bugs trying to hit or zap them. They managed to reach the box as the kid smashed it open with his fist, only for a token to float up and spin with the Omnitrix symbol on it. The 2 then saw that Four Arms' shadow icon was on it as well.
"Hey, Ben! Doesn't that token look like the Ultimatrix?" Chase asked as the kid answered. "Yeah! And that looks like Four Arms! I wonder if..." Chase picks up what the 10-year-old is implying. "You don't think that..." Ben quickly grabs the token as it dissipates in a flash. The 2 then got onto the right bridge safely as the pup hopped off Ben while the kid stored his rifle on his back, making the 2 look at the Ulitmatirx as it displayed Four Arms, only for Ben to slap down the dial.
In the signature flash of green light that went as fast as it appeared, Ben stood in the form of his muscular brawler form as the alien grinned and flexed his arms. "Oh, yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about! Fours fists! No waiting!" "So, that's what happened to your alien powers! They must have gotten turned into power-ups." Chase deduces, having figured out what happened to the Ulitmatrix's aliens.
But just then, someone lands near them as they look to see, only for the 2 to gasp as Chase wags his tail in an excited motion. "I don't believe it!" The puppy breaths out. "Sergeant Calhoun!" The alien cries out. The person is an adult woman, clad in the same armor as Sunset, only it doesn't have a sticker on her pads and has a small blaster on her belt. She has a large bust, a slim waist, and long, shapely legs. She has fair skin and short golden blonde hair. Her hair is cut into a short bob plus a choppy pixie cut style with side bangs. Her eyes are bright blue. She wears coral-colored eyeshadow and thick black eyeliner. She has long dark lashes. Her lips are a deep rosy pink.
"How do you 2 know who I am?" The woman questions as Four Arms answers. "We're both big fans of you and your game! And we love playing it, right Chase?" "Yeah! Ms. Calhoun, let me say it's an honor to meet such a great soldier and law enforcement officer like you! I'm an officer of the law as well! And-" "Enough!" The woman barks out as she asks them a question. "Are you, or are you not, a shapeshifter?" "Uhh... Sure. I guess?" Four Arms asked as both he and Chase blinked.
Calhoun then got a dark glare as she hissed out. "Then, you 2 must be the Cy-Bug Queen in disguise, trying to wipe me out! Forget it! Eat plasma, bug!" She then whips out her rifle and blasts at Four Arms, knocking the alien back. Chase also got pushed back as well and the 2 were sent tumbling into the void! "No! WAIT!" Four Arms cries out as Chase screams his puppy lungs out.
Four Arms recovers and quickly grabs onto the ledge of a platform, only to see Chase fall into the abyss below! Four Arms blinks in shock, only to notice Chase's digital outline nearby as he remembers the puppy has an extra life! The alien quickly pulled himself up, went over and grabbed the regenerated puppy, and leaped onto another platform, only to notice that they were next to some explosive barrels.
The 2 gasped as Calhoun leaped onto one crate and shot at the barrels, making Four Arms leaps off in the nick of time, but were both thrown by the explosion! "Wait! Ms. Calhoun! There's been a huge misunderstanding!" Chase cries out as he holds on for life. "Chase is right! We don't want to fight you!" Four Arms tries to plead with the sergeant, hoping to reason with her. "Nice try! But psychological warfare is not going to save your glowing tails! I swore I would not rest until every single Cy-Bug is exterminated!" Calhoun barks out as she keeps shooting as Four Arms leaps from platform to platform.
The alien lands as Calhoun lands before him and fires at the 2. But Four Arms quickly tore up part of the floor as a shield that blocked the shots. Chase then called out as he stood on top of the alien's head. "He's telling the truth! We're not Cy-Bugs! I'm Chase and that's Ben, we're good guys, like you, Calhoun!" The woman just scoffs. "Got to admit... You certainly put some hard work into that story." The woman leaps up some boxes and dives down to stomp and kick the 2 as Four Arms did his sonic clap to blow back the woman.
Calhoun recovers as the alien takes a few steps forward and the puppy tries to reason with her. "Listen! We're on your side! And we know why you don't like Cy-Bugs! You hated them, ever since they ruined your wedding day and what they did to Dr. Brad Scott!" Four Arms raised an eyebrow at Chase. "Uhh... Doctor who?" The pup looks at Four Arms in disbelief. "How do you not know that? You've been playing this game as long as I have, Ben. It was part of one of the cutscenes!" The big red aliens scratched the top of his head as he admitted. "I might have skipped a cutscene or two." Chase frowned with a raised brow as the alien shurgs. "What?! They looked boring and I wanted to blow stuff up!"
But just then, Calhoun gasped as the 2 looked at her, who looked traumatized. "Brad... How dare you filthy bugs even mention his name!" She snarls out with new anger as she aims at the 2 players, ready to puncture a whole bunch of holes. "Aw, man!" Four Arms cries out as Chase mumbles with flattened ears and wides. "Oops." Calhoun then saw something above them, smirked, and blasted upward, hitting a crane that dropped a bunch of metal pipes on top of the 2 as Four Arms quickly shielded the puppy.
But unbeknownst to them, Sunset and Adrien watch them from the other bridge. "Four Arms?" Adrien mumbles as Sunset exclaims. "Come on! We need to help them!" They quickly leap over the platforms to get to the right bridge, only to find themselves surrounded by flying Cy-Bugs. The 2 nod together and fire at the Cy-Bugs, knocking them out of the sky while also covering each other's backs.
Calhoun overheard the lasers and looked back to see Sunset and Adrien, leaping and firing as well as kicking some bugs as well. The woman smiles and nods in an impressed mood. "Who are these recruits? These 2 are quite the Cy-Bug stompers." Four Arms managed to get the debris off him and Chase as the alien noticed with a frown. "What?! Them? Really?!" Sunset and Adrien land near them and put themselves in front of Chase and Four Arms.
"Back off! There with us!" "Hey! I can handle myself!" Chase exclaims while Four Arms crosses his arms. "Ditto here!" "Hold on!" Calhoun exclaims as she opens his visor while raising an eyebrow. "You're saying that these 2 creatures are part of your unit?" "Yeah... It's a bit of a long story. I'm Sunset. This is Adrien, Chase, and Ben." The girl introduced herself and the others.
Calhoun salutes in response as she introduces herself. "Sergeant First Class Tamora Jane Calhoun, reporting for duty! You certainly know how to battle a swarm, Sunset." Calhoun nods, just as another swarm shows up. Some of them found some discarded weapons and ate them whole, morphing their limbs into said weapons as the Cy-Bugs displayed their most fearsome power: The ability to become whatever they eat.
"That's nothing!" Four Arms exclaims with a grin. "I'll show you a real champion!" Four Arms charges and leaps up, knocking some bugs away with a few punches as he then lands on another one, taking control and making it fly around as he kicks its sides like a horse. The bug hissed at it and fired its guns in response, destroying more flying Cy-Bugs as Four Arms was grinning, showing off! "YEEEEEEE-HAAWWWWWWW! Ride'em, Cowboy!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH
Ben blinks with wide eyes as he hangs on to the Cy-Bug as he exclaims. "Should have seen that one coming! WHOOOOAAAAAA!" The bug then starts flying crazily as Chase notices and sees another bug flying lower as the police puppy gets an idea! He runs and leaps onto the bug as it then joins others as Chase hops from Cy-Bug to Cy-Bug, getting closer as he hollers out. "Ben! Hang on!" The kid groans to himself. "Why didn't I read all the instructions?"
Calhoun aims her rifle and pulls the trigger, blasting the bug Ben is riding on as the boy is sent falling with a scream. "AHHHHHH!" But luckily, Chase managed to catch Ben and they landed safely as the others ran up to them. "Guess I was wrong about you, before..." Ben smiles at Calhoun's aplogey. "That's okay... I'm sure coming from you-" "Not you, rookie! I'm talking about Priavte Chase, here." She gestures to the puppy as Ben groans. "Oh, man!" "Wow! Thanks, Ms. Calhoun! And I accept your apology."
Adrien then asked Ben. "Okay, now that you got your powers back, how about going Upgrade and getting us home?" "I can't! Only the Four Arms icon was inside that power-up box. Upgrade could be hidden anywhere! In this massive game world!" Sunset overheard and got out a disc from her belt and it displayed a hologram of a map. "Not just anywhere... It looks like the way home is on the rooftop of the research tower." "The roof?!" Chase exclaims with worry. "But that's the last level! Me and Ben only have one life left! We'll never make it there!"
Adrien then gets an idea as he asks the sarge. "Hey, Calhoun? Do you know any cheat codes that can get us to the roof?" "Space Marines don't cheat, dummy!" She whacked Adrien with her helmet in response as she had a knowing look. "But I do know a shortcut. But heads up! it will be dangerous." As Adrian rubbed his helmet, Sunset spoke out. "Guess we got no choice." "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Chase mumbled in worry as he and Ben glanced at each other.
And so, the 5, after crossing the bridge into the faculty, were being led by Calhoun down a hallway with some steam pipes and lights that only illuminate the floors. "So, you and your squad just graduated from the academy, Sergeant Shimmer?" "Uhh... Kind of. It's complicated." Sunset answers Calhoun, unsure how to explain. Chase looks around as they keep walking while the puppy stops to look into a hidden room that's got some boxes in it. '"Whoa... I've never seen this part of the game before!" He then runs after the others but is not aware that in the hidden room, is a large figure that narrows its glowing green eyes into silts.
As Chase catches up with the others, they all hear a noise and see a door up ahead slowly closing as they quickly make a break for it. As they run, they slide in, one at a time while Calhoun quickly gets underneath the door and struggles to hold it up. Chase was the last one in, making Calhoun quickly leaps in as the doors slammed shut behind them.
"Game? What nonsense are you talking about, pup?! This is not a game! The fate of the Galaxy is at extremely high stakes! All thanks to those Cy-Bugs!" Ben waves it off with a smile as Sunset notices the woman's behavior being odd. "We know! We know... I read the back of the game box." "And we looked up the story on Wikipedia." Adrien points out as Calhoun is confused. "Game box? What game box? And what the holy hotcakes is 'Wikipedia'?"
But before the boys can say anything, Sunset frowns as she quickly grabs the 2 humans by their armor and shoves them away as she whispers to the 3. "Don't you guys get it? Calhoun doesn't know she's a program in a video game. She thinks this is all real!" "Can't we just tell her the truth?' Chase asked, wondering if they should be honest, but the girl disagreed as she explained. "We can't! The truth can send her into total shock. Just play along."
But while Chase and Adrien understood, Ben, with his short attention span, looked up in boredom, only to spot something that made him grin. "A weapons box!" He grins as he leaps up and hits it open, making 2 objects fall out of it as Sunset and Adrian catch them. They look to see that Sunset now has a Sniper Rifle and Adrien has a Gatling Gun and the teen boy is surprised that he can lift the heavy thing. "Cool! The Mini-Gun! Now we're talking!" "Thanks for the Sniper Rifle! I could always use more firepower!" Sunset smiles.
Just then, another door opens beside them, and the 10-year-old looks inside, grinning at seeing several floating Ultimatrix tokens! "Keep the guns! I just hit the Ultimatrix jackpot!" But Chase is not sure as he exclaims. "Ben! Wait! Something's not right!" "Rookie! Don't! It could be a trap!" But Ben ignored Calhoun's warning as he grabbed one, only for it to turn into a laser beam that nails Calhoun and sends her crashing into some boxes, with smoke coming off of it. The others were shocked as Calhoun regenerated with her helmet in her hand as she had her other hand on her hips and she had a cold, stern glare.
"It was her fault!" Ben points at Sunset as the teen girl looks angry. "Excuse me?!" "Not cool, dude!" Adrien frowns. "Doesn't matter! If I have to sacrifice my life to destroy every one of those monsters, then so be it." Calhoun firmly states as she walks off. The others watch with stunned looks while the sergeant places her helmet back on. "That... Was intense, even for a character in a game." Chase mumbles as the others nod.
The group of heroes eventually reached a big room that had a large door at the end. "That door has an elevator that will lead us straight towards the roof. But it's password-protected. Dr. Scott was the only one who knew the password. But he did leave a hint for it." "What's the hint, Sarge?" Adrien asked the woman and she responded. "Just one word: 'Nickname'. But I have no idea what nickname he was talking about." "Hmm... Nickname for a password... That's a tricky one." Chase ponders as he tries to figure it out. "What did Dr. Scott mean by 'Nickname', for the password?" Sunset asked the others as Ben shurgs in response. "Beat me!"
But just then, the kid spotted something in the corner as he grinned, running up to the floating Ultimatrix token. "But I know what that means! Bet old Cannonbolt can impress Calhoun!" But before the armored kid can grab it, something swoops down from the dark ceiling of the room as the boy leaps back, but the others are grabbed as Ben sees who it is and glares, yelling out. "Let them go, Cy-Bug Queen!"
The Cy-Bug Queen is 3 times bigger than the Cy-Scorpion and has the lower body of a normal Cy-Bug. But her upper half is humanoid, with 2 arms that have pointed elbows, 5 fingers with razor-sharp claws, a somewhat human mouth with mandibles and razor-sharp teeth, and lastly an exo-skeleton-like crown coming out of her head with green, glowing tentacles coming out of the back, like hair.
"Tell me about this 'Upgrade icon', child! Or your friends will pay with their lives..." The Queen hissed as Calhoun barked out. "Don't tell this insect, anything!" "She's right, Ben! We can't let her or the Cy-Bugs loose in the real world! No one will stop them!" Chase cries out while Sunset and Adrien struggle. "The 'Real World'? Soon to be terraformed by me and my children and turned into my vast kingdom..."
"No way! But I'm going to teach you something called Sumo Slamming!" Ben exclaims as he runs and slams his fist into Cannonbolt's icon, transforming into him in a flash of green light. "Cannonbolt style!" The alien booms as he curls and bounces off the wall and ceiling, aiming at the Cy-Bug Queen, who dodges and lets the others go as they get out of the way as Cannonbolt slams into the floor. "Not my best moment..." "I'll leave you all with my children while I find the Upgrade icon." The Queen scurries away in response.
Just then, hissing comes from the ceiling as Cy-Bugs, now in the form of giant spiders, crawl down on the walls and from green glowing webs as well. The robotic arachnids hiss as they surround our heroes as Calhoun whips out her rifle and barks out. "Soldiers! Your Mini-Gun and Sniper Rifle!" Sunset and Adrien nod as the blonde model opens fires, letting loose a hail fire of laser bullets that tore through the spiders. Sunset, on the other hand, is using a table as a vantage point to pick off spiders on the walls with precision.
Cannonbolt curls up and spins dashes, plowing through Cy-Spiders and slamming into them, squashing them flat as Chase hops on a box and lets loose his gun's ammo, howling like a wolf as he sweeps left and right, destroying the robots. Calhoun leaps off one spider and shoots downward as she flips through the air, obliterating all Cy-Spiders below her, and then stomps both her feet on one Cy-Spider's head, crushing it beneath her boots.
As she got off the body, she looked around and spotted a unique Cy-Bug. This one has 4 legs, that are part of a buffy humanoid upper body. It has 2 large pincher claws, 2 glowing antennae, and has whiskers as well. Calhoun frowns as she stores her rifle and pushes some buttons on her gauntlets, making them glow with power and generating lighting through them and she gives a battle cry as she and the bug clash fists, making a huge flash of light.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Gwen and Max came in the Rust Bucket, soaking wet, due to rain outside as the girl shook her head. "I'm soaked... I told you it wasn't a good idea to hike, Grandpa." "Hey! In my defense, I thought it would be one of those just thunderclouds, weather. The weatherman didn't mention this before. Just to show you can always trust them." Max mumbles as he shakes his head and dries off with a tower as Gwen does the same.
The 2 then noticed something off. "Ben? Ben, where are you?" Gwen asked as Max noticed the game as he frowned. "How many times have I told that boy to shut his game off when he's done playing with it?"
In Adventure Bay, Ryder and the other pups came up to the top of the Lookout. "Chase! We're about to head out for Porter Burgers! You want to come?" "That's weird... I thought Chase is still playing his game? We can hear it from down below." Marshall asked as the other pups were confused. Rubble ponders out. "Is he playing hide and seek without us?"
"That doesn't,t sound like Chase." Skye points out as Rocky noticed the game. "And he left his game on as well! That is not eco-friendly, at all." "Really? But, Chase always turns off his game when he's done, dudes." Zumba points out. Ryder went over to the controls as he spoke out. "Still, we better turn this off, so we don't waste any electricity."
At Sunset's apartment, a knock came from the door as it opened to reveal a woman with rainbow-like hair and in a yellow and purple work suit. "Sunset? Are you here? I came by to have our discussion. Hello?" The woman asked as she walked and noticed the TV with a frown. "Leaving your game on when you're done with it? Honestly, Sunset." The woman shook her head as she went over to turn it off.
At Adrien's place, Plagg watched his owner while munching on cheese. "All right! The kid's doing great, so far!" "Adrien?" The Kwamii panics and quickly hides under the bed as Gabriel and his assistant, Nathalie walk in. '"It's time for your piano lesson, son. Adrien?" The man asked as he noticed his son had disappeared. As he looked around, he got distracted by the game as he spoke out. "Nathalie, turn off that riducloius game. I can't hear myself think." "Understood." The woman as she went off to shut the game off as Plagg watched in horror. "Oh, no!"
Inside the game, Sunset holds his rifles in both hands and leaps off a bug, only to freeze in mid-air as she feels the world has frozen while she and the others can still talk and move their eyes. "I can't move!" Sunset exclaims as Adrien speaks out while kicking a spider away. "Me too! I'm stuck!" "What's going on? Why can't we move? It's like we've been paused or something."
Hearing what Chase said, Cannonbolt realizes as he exclaims. "That's because we are paused! I think some people out there are messing with the controls! If they shut the game off, not only the game will be deleted, but also us with it!" The others were scared as Sunset exclaims. "Oh, no!" They all yell at the same time, hoping it can get through. "GWEN! GRANDPA!" "DAD! NATHALIE!" "RYDER! GUYS!" "PRINCIPAL CELESTIA!" "DON'T SHUT US OFF!"
Startled by the yells, the people and pups in all 4 locations were startled as they all glanced at the screen, only to be surprised by what was in it! "Chase?! Is that you?!" "Son!? It can't be!" "Sunset?!" "Ben? Is that you in there?" Max finishes as the elder slips on the headset as did Ryder, Celestia, and Gabriel to talk to them. "Please tell us we're on a hidden camera show..." Max groans as Gwen crossed her arms. "Somehow, this has Ben and his aliens, written all over it."
The pups on the other hand, felt there jaws drop as Skye comments at the sight of Chase in a video game. "Now that's what I call 'Interactive'." Nonetheless, the 4 explains to there friends and family what is going on.
"So, now we need to get the Upgrade icon on the roof, so we can get out of this game!" Cannonbolt explains as Chase took over "But half of us only have one life! So, we can't afford any mistakes!" "There must be some way to help you all out." "Agreed, Ryder. Maybe if I push this.." Celestia was about to push a button when the 4 exclaims. "NO!" "We mean, just hit resume and don't touch anything else!" Sunset explains as Gabriel asks. "Are you sure about this, Adrien?" "Trust me, dad... We got this. Just leave everything to the game pros!" The blonde model smiles.
"And Ben, of course!" "Very funny, Gwen..." Cannonbolt deadpans at his cousin while the others smile and chuckle. "Okay... Here she goes..." "Get ready, Sunset." "Brace yourself, Chase!" "Good luck, son..." And so, the game was resumed as the fight kept going!
As Gabriel watched his son in the game, he noticed the game case on the table and he got an idea. "Nathalie, I want you to look up everything about this game. If we want to get my son out, we need all the information on it." "Of course." The woman nods as she does an internet search for the game. The others overheard what Gabriel said and they got the same idea as well, whipping out their phones and looking up info on the game as well.
Back in the game, Cannonbolt smashed through a bunch of spiders as Calhoun leaps up high and threw her right leg into a heel drop. The bug looks up, only to get its ugly face slammed down into the ground so hard, that it broke through the floor and fell into the darkness, being destroyed. Calhoun smirks down at the hole while Sunset, Adrien, and Chase finish off the rest of the spiders.
But just as the woman turns and starts walking away, Cannonbolt accidentally knocks into her and sends the woman falling into the hole! "AAHHHHHHHH!" The others look down the hole, just as Calhoun regenerates behind them. She opened her visor and had a glaring frown with crossed arms. "Oops... My bad." Cannonbolt sheepishly said. "Nice job, roller boy! Now, Calhoun's down to her last life!" Sunset points out as the woman turns back towards the elevator. "We still need to figure out the password."
"The password's hint is a nickname. But a nickname for who?" Chase asked as Adrien commented. "I'm not sure if Brad had a nickname for himself..." Cannonbolt pondered. "Maybe it's a nickname for a buddy or a friend of his?" Sunset thinks about what the alien said as she glances at Calhoun and recalls that Brad is her love interest. Just then, a lightbulb went off in her head as she figured it out!
"Wait! Calhoun, did Brad have a nickname for you, by any chance?" "Yeah... It's 'Dynamite gal'. Why you asked?" The blonde woman rubbed her chin as Sunset went over and typed in the nickname and the doors opened with a beep as the password was accepted. "All right! it worked!" Sunset smiles as Calhoun pats her on the back. "Good job, soldier! Way to solve that riddle. Let's move it out!" They all got into the elevator and Adrien pushed the button for the roof, making the elevator go up.
"Oh, sure!" Everyone glanced at an upset Cannonbolt, who had his hands on his leg plates. "When I bust something, it's all silent stares. But when they bust something, they're heroes!" The others chose to ignore that statement as Cannonbolt crossed his arms. Just then, the elevator arrives with a ding as they all exit it. They all saw they made it to the roof of the tower. Only it looked like it was made into a large, outdoor bug nest with a bunch of Cy-Bugs around it and parts of the tower looked like it got torn into sharp edges all around as if a meteor hit it, only the tower was still standing. "Wow... Looks like the queen redecorated." Adrien comments as they look around.
"Yeah... This place is giving off the creepy and evil vibes..." Chase mentions as his ears flatten. Calhoun then noticed 3 pods, over by some computers as she ran up to them and peered through the glass. She gasped out. "My squad!" She quickly taps some buttons on the sides, causing steam to release from each pod as the doors open. One by one, 3 people step out, a bit groggy as they slowly recover. "Wha..." "Where are we?" "Did we have too many drinks?" "At ease, men... You're okay." Calhoun reassures.
The men recover as one of them, an African American, looks at Calhoun and smiles. "Sarge!" The 3 men, who were almost as big as Diamondhead, smiled as they chatted with the woman. "Thanks for saving our butts, sarge. The last thing I remember is inhaling some knock-out gas and we blacked out!" "Not to worry, Kohut. We came to rescue you 3. Men, meet Sergeant Sunset Shimmer and her squad: Corporal Adrien, Private First Class Chase, and Rookie Ben." "Rookie?! Again?!" Cannonbolt groans as he slaps his palm between his eyes.
"Troops, meet my Squad: Corporal Kohut, PFC Spears, and PFC Mac." Calhoun introduces the 3 bulky men, who salute in response. "Ready for duty, sir!" The 3 barks out. Calhoun then saw some extra weapons nearby and gave them to her troops. Kohut now has the same gun as Chase, Spears has Ben's rifle and lastly, Mac has a Mini-Gun too." "Pleasure to meet you all." Sunset smiled as Adrien spoke out. "Well, looks like we managed to find your squad, after all, Calhoun. They were on the roof, the whole time."
"And this roof will be your sight of your graves, humans!" All the soldiers whirl back to see the Cy-Bug queen, crawling down from the green glowing wall with glowing eyes, glaring at the heroes. "Wow... Forgot how ugly the queen is." Spears snarks out as Cannonbolt glares at the bug. "Bring it on, you oversized cockroach!" But just as the alien spin dashes towards the queen, he times out as Ben screams and slams into her chest, bouncing off and hitting the floor. "Ugg... You know... For a watch, you have a lousy sense of timing." Ben glares at the Ultimatrix.
But Bne noticed a leg was about to crush him as he quickly leaps back, avoid the Queen's attack and he whips out his rifle and aims at the final boss. "Ben!" Chase calls out as the kid blinks to see the others run ahead in front and all aim at the Queen. "We'll take care of the Queen! Just find the Upgrade icon!" The puppy exclaims. "No way! I want to show Calhoun that I'm a hero, too!" The kid exclaims as he runs up and points his gun at the giant alien. But Adrien placed his hand on the kid's shoulder pad as he spoke to him. "Ben... I know you want to, but listen: What's more important, right now? Thinking like a real hero, or just impressing a computer program?"
Ben blinks as he thinks about it and glances at Sunset, who nods at him. Ben gets a look of determination as he nods and runs off to find Upgrade. The others open fire on the queen as she roars and charges. Although she was damaged, she managed to smack Calhoun, Sunset, and the others into some computers as she landed and turned back toward them.
Meanwhile, Ben kept running until he came across a whole row of power-up boxes. he fires at a bunch of them, only to find nothing. "No." He then jogs as he blasts more boxes, one at a time, still looking for the Upgrade icon. "No. No. No. No!" The others climb out of the wreckage and recover, only to spot the Queen is gone! "Where'd she go?!" Sunset exclaims. She gets her answer when the queen swoops down and grabs Calhoun and Kohut, slamming them into a wall as they cry out in pain.
The queen then dives down towards the others as Spears exclaims. "INCOMING!" He, Mac, and Chase quickly leap and roll out of the way while Adrien and Sunset stand their ground and fire at her. But the queen dodged most of the lasers as she swiped her claws at the 2 and they both ducked. Only to notice their weapons were destroyed as they ditch them.
Sunset and Adrien brought out their rifles as they glanced back to see the queen, coming back for another pass. The 2 shoot at the wings, clipping them and causing her great pain as she crashes down on the roof. "But just as Sunset and Adrian charged at her, she surprised them with an acid laser that not only destroyed the 2 teens but also melted their rifles as well.
The 2 respawn as they notice they are down to their last life. But luckily, help came from Calhoun and her troops, hitting the distracted Queen with their firepower. But while the Queen was hurt, she swiped them with her tail and knocked them away. Just as Sunset and Adrien went to help them, the 2 glowing tails grabbed and coiled them like a couple of snakes.
Chase, on the other hand, climbs up a wall with his energy claws onto a ledge and shoots at the Queen, making her glare at the puppy as said pup runs along the ledge and keeps firing, briefly using some of the ledge as a shield to block the Queen's laser. After another laser blast, Chase leaps out of the smoke and latches onto the Queen's head as she stumbles back as the pup unleashes his claws and swipes at the eyes. "How do you like this?! Take that!" Chase cries as he keeps swiping and the Queen scerrches in pain as she then manages to grab Chase as she snarls. "Meddling mutt!"
She then throws the dog away as Chase bounces with a yipe and then quickly digs his claws in, making marks and coming to a stop, only to look back in shock as the force made his robot arm lose his gun and it went flying off the roof. "Uh, oh!" He then spots Calhoun's gun with the others and dashes towards it. But just as grabbed the rifle, the Queen slammed her claw on the other weapons, knocking Chase back and crushing the weapons into scrap. Her tail then grabs Chase as well.
"How pitiful..." The Queen smirks as she leans on some debris like it is a throne as she brings her captives up. She glanced at Chase as he pointed his new weapon at her, but the Queen merely grabbed the rifle and robot arm, tore them off, and then crushed them in her fist. She then drops the debris. "I expected more from Humanity's best warrior..." But Calhoun just glares at the queen while Sunset, Adrien, and Chase struggle. "Joke all you want, freak!" Spears snarls as Kohut and Mac glare at her as well. "You forgot something, you oversized termite. The war's not over as long as one Space Marine still stands strong!" Calhoun firmly declares.
Ben kept searching for the Upgrade icon. "No. No. Wait! Yes!" The boy grins at finding the power-up box that has Upgrade's shadow as he then punches it open. But just before the kid could reach out for it, he heard a sound behind him as he glanced back, only to be backhanded away by the Cy-Bug Queen! Ben slowly looks up, only to see that he is very close to the edge of the roof as he scrambles up and back from it, only to glance to see the Queen is right by Upgrade's icon as he trail throws the others down.
"Your power is mine, child!" The Queen states as she slowly reaches for the Upgrade icon, but Ben quickly recovers and shoots grenades at her, blowing her back from the explosions as Ben runs forward and nails her with laser bullets. He then tossed his rifle away and dashed towards the Upgrade icon, grabbing it as the watch beeped with Upgrade on it! "YES!" But the boy gasped as the queen towered over him and raised a claw to stab and crush him at the same time!
But help came as Sgt. Calhoun and her unit tackled the queen, sending them slamming into a bunch of computers as hi-tech stuff broke! The boy is shocked as the woman and her men crawl out and look at the boy with smiles and a couple of thumbs-ups. But just then, something knocks the men to the sides, sending them crashing into boxes. Calhoun is distracted, only to flinch as she feels something stabbed in her back, looking down as she vanishes in a flash of light. The Queen smirks as she brings back her claws from stabbing Calhoun!
"CALHOUN!" Ben exclaims as Sunset gasps in horror as Chase cries out. "NO!" "Backstabbing is not cool!" Adrien glares at the queen as the being towers over them with a smirk. "Your Space Marine hero isn't here to protect you, anymore." She raised her claws to stab and crush the players, only for a green flash of light to catch her attention as she looked to see an angry Upgrade. "But I can take care of you and myself! All alone..." Upgrade declares as he then narrows his eye at the queen. "Now we play by my rules, 'your highness'!"
He then tackles the queen and slams her to the floor. He then starts beating the crud out of the Cy-Bug queen, smashing her with mace hands, blasting her with cannon arms, using his liquid state to avoid the queen's acid lasers, uppercutting her with mega fists and even smashing her flat with a huge hammer made out of his hands! Upgrade kept wailing on her until the area was covered in debris and smoke.
Once the smoke cleared, he noticed the queen was gone as he called out towards the wreckage. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" "Upgrade! Forget about the queen!" Adrien calls out as Sunset yells as well. "We need to get out of here, quick! We're all down to one last life!" "So, hurry and get us out before you lose power!" Chase hollers out, only for the 3 to be surprised when Upgrade shows up beside them! "I'm right here, guys! Hahaha!"
"You all wouldn't leave without saying bye now, would you?" Looking at the voice, the 4 were shocked to find Calhoun, alive and well!" "Sgt. Calhoun?!" "No way!" "It can't be!" "But! We all saw you-" Upgrade, Sunset, Adrien, and Chase respectfully cry out in disbelief as the woman herself approaches with a chuckle. "It will take more than just one bug to finish my last life. I just want to say one thing... That you, soldier, are the Supreme Space Marine!" The blonde woman smiles as she places a hand on Upgrade. "If only I could visit your world and fight alongside a great hero like you." "Whoa... Really?!" Upgrade glees out as he spoke to the woman. "Well... maybe I could-"
But just then, 4 digital outlines appeared near the group as a familiar voice came from one. "Sorry, Calhoun. But I'm afraid there's been a change in your travel plans." Max smirks as he is now clad in his own Space Marine armor, which has a silver visor and LED lights, only he looks 20 years younger than his real-world self and has no gut. The rest shows up to reveal Gabrial, Ryder, and Celestia, clad in their armor. Gabriel's suit has purple LED and helmet visor while Celestia's is pink. Lastly, Ryder's is a lighter blue than Chase's. "As of right now, your trip has been canceled!" Gabriel smirks.
Then out of the blue, the 4 new players tackle Calhoun and slam her into some boxes while Upgrade and others are shocked! "Father?! Why?!" "Grandpa?! What are you doing!? She's a good guy!" "Principal Celestia!? Have you lost it?!" "Ryder! How could you?!" Celestial looks back at the others as she calls out. "She's tricking you, Sunset!" "Chase! Listen! She's not who she says she is!" Ryder exclaims as they leap up toward a platform that is part of a ledge that has a large barrel on it.
Celestia and Max then toss it to the side to reveal a hidden weapons box. Ryder slams his fists on it, making it open as small orbs the same color as their suits appear. Gabriel grabs 2 of them and taps a few buttons on them as they light up and start charging up. He then quickly threw them at Calhoun as the woman slowly stood. As they land by her feet, the orbs then unleash a powerful discharge of electricity that shocks the woman as she screams in pain.
But before anyone can say or do anything, in a burst of light, the lightning dies down as the being slightly smoking was not Sergeant Tamora Jane Calhoun, but the queen of the Cy-Bugs as she whirls back with hiss and baring her fangs. "The Cy-Bug Queen!" Sunset exclaims in shock as her team is surprised as well. "It was a trick!" Adrien exclaims as Upgrade points at the alien villain. "You were trying to fool me into taking you back to the real world?!" "Let's get out of here before she does!" Chase exclaims as he brings up a good point.
But Upgrade will not leave as he firmly states. "A true Space Marine, Sumo Slammer, and hero never runs away! I'm gonna defeat her, honorably!" Upgrade then charges at the queen, who leaps over and dodges the alien hero. She crashes behind his team and grabs them in her claw as the queen smirks. "Fortunately, I don't follow this concept you humans call 'honor'." The bug then spread her wings and took off as Upgrade created a jet pack out of his back and followed. Meanwhile, Calhoun's squad managed to recover and stumbled out as they saw what was happening. "Quick! Follow after them!" Kohut exclaims as Mac and Spears nod and runs inside the building to follow the others via the stairs or elevator, as does Max and his team.
Upgrade follows after the queen, ending up at a lower landing pad than the roof. As the alien lands, retracts his jetpack, and confronts the villain, she calls out as gestures to his captured friends. "Destroy me and the rest of your squad will suffer the same fate!" "I don't think so! This game's over!" Upgrade declares as he stretches toward the Cy-Bug Queen. The being tries to slash a claw at him, only for Upgrade to take over the limb and spread inside her, via the mouth. The queen then noticed green glowing cracks appearing all over her body as the others got free and ran away as fast as they could. The queen gave a horrified screech as she then exploded!
The others shielded their eyes and face as they all glanced to see Upgrade, totally fine with his hands on his hips as tiny bits and parts of the Cy-Bug Queen scattered around him as dust and ash rained down around. A boss bonus, worth 5 million points, appeared behind the alien hero while he felt smug about receiving all those points. The others came up as the alien asked. "Go on! Say it..." Sunset sighs at what he is implying. "Okay... You're the Supreme Space Marine, happy?" "But all and all, we're proud of you, dude!" Adrien smiles as Chase howls in victory.
"Yeah... I know! But..." He then creates a 1-Up as the rest of Calhoun's squad arrives, just as a familiar digital outline appears. "I want to hear it, from her." Upgrade points as everyone smiles at seeing Calhoun, back to life as the woman looks at herself and is grateful for being revived. "Sarge!" Her squad hollers as they crowd and chat with the military woman as Upgrade and his friends all smile at each other at the scene.
Just then, a hologram appears, showcasing the game's African-American general: General Hologram! "Ten-Hut!" He orders as all the soldiers stand at attention in response. "I want to thank you 4 for helping Calhoun recover her missing squad, defeating the Cy-Bug menace, and saving humanity and the whole Galaxy. For that, in honor and bravery, we salute the real heroes: You!" They all salute at Sunset, Chase, Adrien, and Upgrade as the 4 are in awe at being saluted as they do the same. "Okay! This is awesome!" Sunset smiles. "So... Who do you think is the best soldier out of all us, Calhoun?" Ben asked the woman, hoping to be picked.
Only to be shocked when she instead, chose another group of 4, off to the side. "In my opinion, those are some of the best soldiers, I've ever seen!" "What?! Grandpa!?" "Ryder?!" "Principal Celestia!?" "Wha?! Father?!" Upgrade and his friends were shocked as Calhoun explains. "Those 4 showed quick thinking and intelligence. They knew something was off. So, they cleverly used the Electro-Bombs, to weaken the Cy-Bug Queen, to expose her disguise."
But Ryder waves it off with a smile. "Oh, shucks! It was easier than it looked." "Indeed... All we did was read a walkthrough." Gabriel explains as Max and Celestia nod and shrug. "You be amazed at what you can find on the internet." The woman smiles. But Upgrade, Sunset, Adrian, and Chase groan out. "Read a walkthrough?! Seriously, dad?" The blonde model groans. "Celestia... I'm never gaming with you, ever." The teen girl frowns as Upgrade moans at Max. "Grandpa... Are you trying to embarrass me online?" "Ryder... No real gamer uses an online walkthrough." Chase explains.
But just then, the Ultimatrix starts beeping as Upgrade realizes he's running out of time! "Uh-oh! No time for good-byes!" The alien quickly grabs his friends and forms into a ball, shrinking and vanishing from the video game world in a flash of green light.
In a flash of light, Upgrade appears out of the flatscreen as Gwen and Max give a wide berth as the alien reforms himself, just as he times out. Ben blinks as he recovers while Gwen jokingly asks. "Cut it a little closer next time?" Ben cycles through the Ultimatrix to find all of his aliens, present and accounted for. "Hopefully, there won't be a next time." The boy answers as Max speaks in the headset. "My grandson made it back in one piece! How is everyone else?"
With the Paw Patrol, Chase appears in a daze as the pups surround him while the police pup eventually recovers. "Chase is back home, safe and sound!" Ryder spoke in the headset. "Dude! That was epic!" Zuma grins as Marshall grins. "Yeah! You sure showed that evil cyborg bug queen who's the boss!" "Thanks, guys! Although it was more of a team effort." "So, up for a friendly match, Chase?" Rocky asked as Chase shook his head. "No thanks, Rocky! I'm done playing that game for a good long while. How about we play outside, instead?" "Okay!" Skye grins as Rubble calls out. "The last one to the bottom is an ugly Cy-Bug!" The pups giggle and race down the slide as Ryan watches with a smile. "Yep! He's back home, Max!"
At Sunset's apartment, she lands on her couch as she rubs her bottom. Celestia smiled as she spoke in her headset. "Sunset is okay as well." The teen girl gives a tired smile at the woman in response. "So, how is your son, Mr. Argerste? Did he return home safely as well?" The woman spoke in her headset.
In Paris, Adrien appears out of his TV as he stumbles for a bit, but manages to balance himself as Plagg takes the opportunity to hide in his jacket when no one notices. Both Gabriel and Nathalie smile at seeing the teen safely out of the game and back in reality. "My son has returned home safely. For that, I thank you for helping him." The fashion designer responds. He then took off the headset as his assistant shut off the game and TV.
"Son..." The man spoke as he approached the teen. "Yes, father?" Adrien asked as if he was preparing for whatever punishment his father would set on him. But to his surprise, the man just hugged him as he spoke out. "I thought I lost you, son..." "I'm okay, Dad..." Adrien smiles and hugs back as they then separate. "Adrien... I think you should go out of the mansion for the day." Adrien smiles and nods at the man. "I will. And thanks."
Back with the Tennysons, Max looked to see the storm stopped as the clouds cleared. "Looks like the storm's finally over. Why don't you 2 go out for some fresh air?" "After what I've been through, I could use some real world, right now. Race ya, Gwen!" "You're on, Ben!" Both kids giggle as they leave the Rust Bucket and run off to play somewhere else. But Max chuckles to himself as he speaks in his headset. "Hey, Celestia? Are you still there?" "Right here, Max. But it looks like the other 2 logged out already. Sunset already left to meet up with her friends, you up for a game or 2?" "Yep! I thought my grandkids would never leave." And so, the elder man and woman both logged in and started to play the game.
