Chapter Three

August 3rd, 2008

Day 3

Xandar woke up a few hours later with a sigh. It was going to be night three. To say he was worried would be an understatement...he was TERRIFIED. Looking in the mirror He saw dark circles around his eyes.

"Fuuuuuck," he groaned in annoyance. He walked to his uniform and got dressed. "Gee, I wonder what's gonna happen tonight? Oh! I know! I'll be attacked by a bunch of furry dickheads for another night," He growled. "I swear, as soon as this is over, I'm pressing charges. I'll just say I slipped on the floor. Maybe I'll even stage it to be sure it goes through."

As he was finishing up the doorbell rang. Xandar turned to it in surprise. "What the hell?" He asked himself in confusion. He walked to the door and opened it. It was Charlie. "Hey," she greeted with a grin. Xandar gave a curt nod. "You doing ok?" She questioned worried.

"I'll be fine. Pre shift jitters," he lied. As he went to walk out the door Charlie placed her hand on the door and blocked him. She shook her head.

"I KNOW why you're losing sleep. I should know," Charlie began. Xandar tilted his head as Charlie took a deep breath. "I worked in that office before you did."

...

"What?" Xandar asked. "You worked there?" He inquired.

"Yeah. I couldn't talk about it, obviously, NDA's be damned. But when I saw you, I knew you'd need tips and pointers...and I think you're very sweet," she explained.

Xandar blushed coughing awkwardly. "Look, not that I don't appreciate it, but I am doing juuuuust fine," he lied again.

Charlie raised an eyebrow. "Just fine? Xandar, it's obvious that you are tired AND scared out of your mind."

Xandar sighed. "I know. I just don't know what to do! I've made it by luck so far...but what if my luck runs out?" He questioned.

"If I can make it. You can too," Charlie said with a smile. Xandar smiled back. "Now, here's what you need to do..."

Night 3

Xandar sat in the office with a sigh. Charlie told him that if he ran out of power to stay absolutely still. He didn't know of it would help entirely, but whatever got him past night three, he was willing to try. As he checked the clock and the power he sighed again. 2:00 AM, 60 percent.

Hearing footsteps on the left side, he waited until the sound stopped. He pressed the door light. Sure enough, Bonnie was there. He closed the door and waited for the sound of footsteps. Upon hearing the sound, he opened the door and turned on the light. Bonnie was gone.

He checked Pirate's Cove next. Foxy was outside the curtain, hook raised and ready for an attack. 4:00 AM, 35 percent. He sighed for the umpteenth time. He might actually make it past night three. As the clock read 5:55, He checked Pirate's Cove and was greeted with the sign. Instead of reading "Out of Order," it said "It's Me." He closed the door and checked the hallway. Foxy ran down and pounded on the door.

The lights went out and Xandar went still. More footsteps. Then, without warning, a pair of eyes and mouth greeted him. It was followed by a music box rendition of "Toreador March." After a solid moment, The lights of the face went off and footsteps were heard. Xandar didn't move. He wouldn't dare. Ding Dong!

Xandar opened his eyes as the power switched back on. Breathing a sigh of relief, Xandar left the office. As the robots stood on stage and the curtains closed, Xandar smirked. However, he swore Freddy smirked too. "You made it," a voice said causing Xandar to jump. It was Charlie. "Did the technique work?" She asked.

"Yeah," Xandar replied. "Thank you."

"Just doing my job," Charlie replied. As they stared at the curtain, Charlie sighed. "It goes downhill from here."

"What do you mean?" Xandar inquired. The answer gave him a chill.

"Freddy is usually active on night four." Xandar immediately knew, this was going to be interesting.
