Chapter 27: Fight of the Future

[The Future]

Chrom slashed Galleom's armor, but his sword left no scratches. Galleom punched Chrom but Chrom managed to dodge out of the way. Galleom attempted to punch him again but Lucina blocked his shot. "I didn't come all this way for you to die again," Lucina said. "Thank you, Lucina," Chrom said. Toon Link came in and slashed Galleom, pushing his arm back. Galleom shot out some missiles which made Toon Link run away and dodge the projectiles.

Silver used his powers, grabbed the projectiles and tossed them back at Galleom. Galleom elbowed the missiles and tossed them up into the air. "You guys haven't found this thing's weakness at all?!" Silver asked. Joker took off his mask and summoned a being behind him known as a Persona and he yelled, "Arsene!" "If you think we did, would we still be fighting?" Joker asked. Silver and Joker dodged Galleom's next attack.

Surrounded by ink, the Inklings and Pink swam in the ink, shooting ink at Galleom and dodging his attacks within the ink. "Woomy!" Orange yelled. Galleom roared and punched the ground multiple times, causing it to shake and bringing Orange, Blue, and Pink out of the ink. As they were launched into the air, Galleom attempted to grab them but Richter wrapped his whip around them and brought them to him. "Thanks," Blue said. "Watch out!" Richter yelled. They jumped out of the way while Eleven sent a bolt of lightning at Galleom. Galleom backhanded Eleven and launched him back. "Here-a! Take-a this!" Dr. Mario yelled as he forced a pill inside Eleven's mouth, healing him. "Ugh, those are gross, but thanks," Eleven said. "No-a problem," Dr. Mario said.

Robin charged a big beam of electricity that smacked Galleom straight into his chest and launched it back. "If we are to survive, then we'll need that info!" Silver yelled. "Go! Convince Metal to help us! We'll deal with this!" Chrom yelled. Silver flew back into Eggman's base, leaving everyone to fight Galleom.

Silver came back into the computer room and found Metal still on the floor. "Alright Metal Sonic, now I know we haven't been on the best terms," Silver said. Metal gave him a shrug. "Hey, don't give me that look," Silver said, "Now look, Galleom is out there, and you can get your revenge. But first, if you want us to save Eggman, then help us help him," Silver said. Metal put his head back into the floor. Silver sighed then chuckled slowly. "You are really making this difficult," Silver said. Metal Sonic groaned.

Joker crashed through the walls. "How are things going here?" he asked as he took deep breaths. "He won't help," Silver complained. "What if we reprogram him?" Joker asked. "Eggman put safeguards in his computer. You wouldn't think he'd put 'em' in all his robots?" Silver asked. "So what do we do?" Joker asked. Silver looked out and watched everyone fighting Galleom. "Do what we do best," Silver said.

Silver flew out to the battlefield, and Joker followed, leaving Metal Sonic to watch the battle from inside. Richter was pushed back and was about to get punched by Galleom until Silver stopped Galleom's punch. Galleom was about to use his other hand to punch Silver until Robin sent out another beam of electricity that hit Galleom's hand. Orange and Blue had jumped out of ink they sprayed on the walls and shot ink at Galleom's eyes. "Ha! Bulls eye!" they yelled. Galleom roared and on his two legs began to shake the ground. Chrom and Eleven hopped onto Galleom's back and held on tightly. They nodded as they tried to stab Galleom's back but his armor was too thick. Chrom and Eleven were thrown off and Richter caught them.

"Is there nothing that can hurt this thing?" Lucina asked. "We gotta try," Silver said as he threw the remains of the van and threw it at Galleom. Galleom punched it up and threw it away. "Thou foul being shall remain no more!" Richter screamed. Richter wrapped his whip around the van and tossed it at Galleom. Galleom roared. Toon Link yelled as the Master Sword glowed in his hands and it sent out a big wave of energy. Galleom punched straight through the energy. Pink sent out an ink grenade and it covered Galleom in pink ink. "Take-a this!" Dr. Mario yelled as he jumped up and tried to punch Galleom. Galleom grabbed him. "Whoa!" Dr. Mario screamed. "Let the doctor go!" Joker yelled as he and Arsene crashed straight at Galleom, forcing him to let Dr. Mario go. "Thanks," Dr. Mario said. "No problem," Joker said. "Look out!" Robin yelled as he used a dark magic spell to block the attack.

Silver used his psychokinesis to grab Galleom. He extended his arms forcefully. "IT'S NO USE!" Silver screamed. Galleom roared as he shot out more missiles. "AH!" Chrom yelled as he sliced the missiles in midair. Galleom sent out from his palm, causing Silver to let go of him. Eleven ran and flanked Galleom's beam. Eleven used a fire spell and tossed it at Galleom. "AH!" Lucina yelled as he slashed her sword at blinding speeds. Galleom shot another missile. "Lucina!" Chrom yelled as he tackled her and they dodged the missile. Orange and Blue kept shooting ink at Galleom. "It's not doing anything!" Blue yelled. "We have to try!" Orange yelled. Galleom raised his fist and was about to smash Orange. "Sis!" Blue yelled as he pushed Orange out of the way but he got hit and launched back. "Blue!" Orange yelled. Galleom was about to hit Orange but Joker and Arsene blocked the attack. "Ah!" Joker yelled as he struggled to hold Galleom back. Galleom roared in anger.

"Joker!" Richter yelled as he tossed his cross. Joker jumped back while the cross hit Galleom. "Here," Dr. Mario said as he gave Blue a pill. "Alright. Alright," he said taking deep breaths, "I'm alright. Thanks." "Hm, manners. Looks like they are learning something," Dr. Mario said. "Not the time for jokes!" Robin yelled as he tossed a fire spell at Galleom. Eleven powered his sword with his spell and using the combined energies with Toon Link they launched a wave of energy. The energy collided with Galleom but he kept resisting it until he dissipated it. "It's no use," Silver said as he stood up.

Everyone stood together, battered and tired. Galleom roared as he charged directly at them. "This is it," Orange said. "Twas an honor," Richter said. From behind them a metallic groan yelled. Metal Sonic flew and stopped Galleom inches before his attack collided. Metal Sonic yelled. Galleom roared. Metal Sonic charged a beam from his chest and pushed Galleom back. Metal Sonic closed both of his fists and roared with his warbled voice. Silver chuckled, "Looks like he had a change in programming." Metal Sonic looked at them and tossed them some sort of tablet. Metal Sonic warbled. They understood what it was and nodded. Metal Sonic turned his sights towards Galleom. Galleom roared. Metal Sonic gave a warbled scream and charged at Galleom and kicked it right in the face.

"Alright, he's giving us time," Silver said. Silver looked at the information. "Looks like Eggman was tinkering with some time tech. He left some of the progress in his lab, so if we can get to it and upgrade the time watch we should all be able to go back to the past," Silver said. "Then let us not waste time," Chrom said. They all ran back into Eggman's base to proceed with their mission. Metal Sonic flew circles around Galleom and punched it as it flew around. Metal Sonic then shot some projectiles from his hands. It didn't affect Galleom. The rest were able to get back into the lab and found Eggman's tech. "This shouldn't take long," Silver said. "Come on. Let us haste," Richter said. Metal Sonic flew above Galleom, charged a beam and shot it. Galleom blocked the attack and shot out missiles. Metal Sonic was able to dodge all of the missiles, except one that hit him directly in the back. "Come on. Come on," Silver said as he hastily, "There, we'll only get a chance to go back. One shot." Galleom grabbed Metal Sonic and crushed him straight into a trophy. Galleom proceeded to crush Metal Sonic completely, making him no more. Galleom charged like a bull to Eggman's base. He opened the ceiling and found everyone there. "Too late," Silver said.

Galleom was reaching out to grab them as Silver pressed the button on his time watch. Temporal energy surrounded all of the heroes and seconds before Galleom could reach them they had disappeared and the clocks ticked backwards towards a new fate.
