Chapter 28: Destiny Changed

Galleom roared, ready to attack his very first victims. Before he could react Rex managed to speak to Malos. "Is this what YOU want, Malos?!" Rex asked. Malos, intrigued, stopped Galleom for a moment and said as he crossed his arms, "I don't understand the question." "You must understand that none of this is your own free will!" Rex said. Malos chuckled. "It is true. Amalthus was your driver. All of your ideals came from him," Pyra/Mythra said. Jin looked at Malos. "So what? And don't give me some weak-ass crap about how I should repent or whatever," Malos said. "He's refusing to hear the truth," Impa said.

Malos clenched his fist. "Malos?" Jin asked. "I don't give a rat's ass what any of you think!" he screamed, causing everyone to take a step back. "This whole world's a wretched place! And to know there are many more like it! Life is taken! Life isn't fair!" he yelled. Jin looked at Malos. "A never ending cycle! Yet there are those who everything is taken from them! Except their lives!" Malos screamed. "Thou art a part of that world," Simon said. Gramps poked out of Rex's helmet. "He is right. If it hadn't been for you then many lives would have taken a different path," he said. "Exactly! See! I am a wretched monster! Far beyond saving!" he screamed, "But now, it is time to remedy that cycle! To break it! Galleom!"

Galleom roared and launched an arm. Pyra/Mythra created a barrier between Galleom and Rex but Galleom broke through with Pyra returning as she and Rex were launched back. "Rex! Pyra!" Nia yelled. "Look out!" Amy yelled as Galleom tossed another fist and Amy blocked the attack but she was also pushed back. Olimar tossed some Pikmin but they weren't doing any damage to Galleom. "That's impossible," Olimar said. Mòrag and Brighid shot fire. "It's not doing anything," Brighid said. They dodged another of Galleom's attacks. Bandana Dee threw a spear but it didn't pierce Galleom.

Impa cloned herself and ran around, attempting to confuse Galleom. Galleom stomped the ground which forced all of Impa's clones to dissipate and Impa to remain. Simon wrapped his whip around Impa and brought her down to ground. "Thanks," Impa said. Simon nodded. Villager couldn't cut Galleom with his ax and neither could Fiora. Dromarch gave a roar and tossed a sound wave of water at Galleom. "We're not getting anywhere!" Zeke yelled as he jumped and tried to hit Galleom from above. "I don't like this!" Bandana Dee yelled as she ran from Galleom's attacks.

"Malos!" Rex yelled. Rex and Malos still clashed. "You still can't see! Stop Galleom! Malo!" Rex yelled. Malos pushed him but Rex still kept clashing. Jin was pulling his sword until Simon smacked him with his whip. "No today thou foe," Simon said. Simon threw some holy water and Jin dodged. The holy water grew into a small flame. Simon then threw some axes and Jin managed to cut through them. "See what, brat?! The world will never change!" Malos screamed. Galleom roared and shot some missiles. "AH!" Isabelle screamed. Peach grabbed Isabelle and they managed to dodge the missiles. Rex dodged the other missiles and jumped away from Malos.

"It can change! It will change! I will change it!" Rex yelled. He sliced more of Galleom's missiles. "Why don't you let it go?!" Malos screamed. He charged at Rex but Fiora blocked the attack. "You!" Malos yelled. "AH!" Amy yelled as she hit Malos with her hammer and launched him back. "Malos," Jin said. Jin charged ahead. "Oh no you don't!" Impa yelled as she tossed her kudachi at Jin. Impa jumped out of the way as Galleom attempted to smash her.

"We can't pierce its armor!" Tora yelled. Galleom launched a fist at Tora. "Masterpon!" Poppi yelled. Poppi created a barrier but Galleom broke through and launched them both back. "Tora! Poppi!" Rex yelled. "Rex!" Pyra yelled. Galleom tried to step on him but Rex rolled away. Mythra switched over.

"The world can never be all love and rainbows!" Malos screamed. "It won't, but all we can do is our best!" Rex yelled. "He's right!" Amy yelled as she spun around with her hammer and hit Malos. Olimar threw more Pikmins at Galleom, but they couldn't pierce it at all. Simon smacked Galleom. "By God's will, thou foe shalt fall!" Simon yelled. Nia attempted to slice it. "Nothing. Nothing at all," Nia said. "Do not give up!" Mòrag yelled as she grabbed Nia, "Nia!" "Oh no! This is bad beyond all bad!" Pandoria yelled. "Today will not be the day we die," Zeke said.

Impa clashed her kudachi with Jin's sword. "Take this you meanie!" Isabelle yelled as she smacked him with a broom. "Why even do this?! What do you gain by doing this?!" Malos yelled. "I'm doing this for myself!" Rex yelled, "If it helps put a smile on people's face, then that will be my role in this world! In my destiny!" Rex unleashed Mythra's power and sent a beam at Malos. Malos blocked the attack. "Malos! Stop this now!" Mythra yelled. "And you'd forgive us just like that!? For all the people who already died!" Malos yelled. "Forgiving isn't that easy, but that's just the life we live in!" Rex yelled. Jin gasped. "We need to find our way forward! This is our lives! Others don't tell us how to live!" Rex yelled, "Even you." Malos clenched his teeth but his eyes began to tell he was starting to realize slowly.

Simon sent his whip flying at Malos. Malos blocked the attack. Rex began to charge again at Malos. Galleom roared and launched itself straight at Rex. Pyra and Mythra fused again. They gasped as they saw Galleom. "REX!" they screamed. Rex gasped and his eyes widened as Galleom was inches away and preparing to make a final attack. Then… destiny changes.

A bright blue light appeared between Rex and Galleom, sending everyone back to their respective sides. "What is that?" Rex asked. Galleom roared and charged forward. Galleom was suddenly tossed backwards. "What is this?!" Malos yelled. Silver flew out of the light. "Silver?" Amy questioned. "Can't I leave the past for one second?" Silver asked. Jin charged forward. Silver used his psychokinesis to fling Jin sideways. The future team all came out as the light dissipated. Simon noticed Richter. "Is that the Vampire Slayer?" he questioned. "Link?" Impa questioned. "Mario?" Peach questioned. "I know you have a lot of questions, but let us deal with this threat!" Chrom yelled. Everyone nodded.

They all stood united, side by side. "Here you go," Dr. Mario said as he gave all of the injured a pill. "Wow, I feel so much better, but the taste," Amy said, disgusted. "You'll never get used to it," Eleven said. "No matter! Extra help will not save you!" Malos yelled. Malos charged ahead. Chrom and Lucina charged ahead and they clashed with Malos. Galleom roared. "There must be weakness," Joker said. He used his gun to shoot at Galleom and used his grappling hook to fly around the entire room.

Jin got up and charged. Toon Link took the charge and they clashed. "We're gonna need an extra powerful weapon if we're going to stop that thing," Zeke said. Galleom roared and back handed everyone toward the hole it left when it arrived. "There's no point! You're surrounded!" Malos yelled. Silver looked outside, and he believed he could see a silhouette of something big. "Guys, you may be mad at me," Silver said. "What?" Rex asked. Silver used his psychokinesis and pushed everyone off the ledge. "What?!" Malos yelled. Silver dived down and used his powers to slow everyone's fall. "You're going to get us killed!" Nia yelled. "Don't worry one bit," Silver said.

The Halberd began ascending from the Cloud Sea and everyone landed on top of it. Inside The Halberd, everyone was on the bridge. "What was that?" Min Min asked. Meta Knight pulled out the cameras. "Quickly! Get them inside!" Meta Knight ordered.

"The Halberd?" Bandana Dee questioned. Marth opened a hatch. "Quickly! In here," Marth said. "The Hero-Prince," Chrom and Lucina said. Everyone entered The Halberd and met with everyone else on the bridge. "It looks like we have company," Meta Knight said. Galleom jumped from the hole in the tree and flew towards them. "It can fly," Chrom said. "Evasive maneuvers!" Meta Knight yelled. The Halberd flanked to the side to dodge Galleom. "Activating weapons," Meta Knight said.

The Halberd began shooting weapons at Galleom, but they did nothing. "Don't you have-a big laser?" Dr. Mario asked. "As a matter of fact, yes," Meta Knight said, "It will need charging though." "We'll take care of this," Rex said. Pyra/Mythra nodded. They charged up their sword and began to charge the Halberd's laser. "This is more power than I think this could handle," Meta Knight said. The Halberd did a barrel and free fell down. "I didn't think we'd be falling!" Pyra/Mythra yelled. "Any second," Meta Knights said.

Once the Halberd was facing Galleom, Meta Knight quickly turned on the engines and flew straight towards Galleom. "Now!" Meta Knight yelled. The Halberd shot a laser, making Galleom roar in pain as it exploded mid air and The Halberd flew straight through it. Everyone celebrated. "No time to celebrate!" Meta Knight yelled. Malos in anger shot a beam which hit a portion of The Halberd. "We must escape! Now!" Meta Knight yelled.

The Halberd began ascending and Meta Knight used the brand new system and The Halberd at its fastest flew away, leaving the world.

Malos and Jin looked up into the sky. Behind them Ganondorf stepped through a portal. "So, you failed," he said with an unsurprised tone. Malos pointed his sword at Ganondorf. "You! You promised us the ultimate weapon! But it failed!" Malos yelled as he charged at Ganondorf. Ganondorf, using only one hand, stopped Malos. "What?" Malos questioned. "You were never, and will never be one of us," Ganondorf said. "AH!" Malos yelped. "Malos!" Jin yelled. Jin unleashed his sword and charged forward and tried to slice through Ganondorf. "Ah!" Jin yelped as he fell on his two knees. In a flash his eyes widened and he began coughing up blood. In the middle of his chest he saw a sword be plunged through it. He was lifted by the sword. Holding the sword was a hooded swordsman.

"Pathetic," he said. The hooded swordsman pulled his sword back and Jin turned into a Spirit along with Malos. "Galleom failed," Ganondorf said. "It wouldn't have provided enough enjoyment," the hooded swordsman said. "What do you propose?" Ganondorf asked. The hooded swordsman cleaned the blood off his sword. "Despair," he said.

R.O.B. units landed beside them and began setting off the bombs as Ganondorf and the hooded swordsman left through a portal as the R.O.B. units exploded the world.
