Ahsoka flew in across the Capital City, the planet consisted of mostly farmland which seemed to be deserted during this season. Mina was beside her mother, fast asleep and strapped into a safety seat, she hadn't fussed since they left Onderon. Her mother didn't like disrupting her routines or naps but, she had to wake her.
Lothal was cold. Ahsoka could see her breath as she left the ship, Mina was swaddled on her chest, and she cooed when the freezing air touched her face. She placed a warm hat on her daughter's head to shield her from the cold breeze and she soothed, giggling at the sensation. Smiling, Ahsoka looked down at her, blue eyes meeting her own. She had notified Lux of their departure and as much as he was uncomfortable, he knew this is what she had to do. He told them to be safe and that he loved them both dearly. It had been a month since Lux had left them, he didn't know he would be away this long but as usual, the senate was a mess.
There were small patches of ice melting away on the ground, the cold sun beaming down. Cone shaped rocks lie on the horizon, dotted around the landscape. Ahsoka had followed The Daughter's advice and headed to the southern region of the system, she allowed the Force to guide her to this area, but she still had no indication for what she was looking for. She closed her eyes and reached out again but, a babbling Mina broke her out from the trance. She was looking up at something flying in the sky. Morai. The bird circled them both, squawking. Once it had Ahsoka's attention, it flew off in the direction of the cones. Ahsoka took off in a light run, arm supporting Mina as she bounced. The Convor flapped its wings as it headed towards the hidden temple until it landed at the gateway. Ahsoka never diverted her eyes from the bird, she came to a halt at a tall structure. The cone was taller than all the rest, it was now sticking out to her. Mina giggled at them both after Ahsoka's sprint. The mother looked around at the structure, not knowing what to do from here.
"Is this the place?" She asked Morai, it chirped and jumped, signifying the answer. She scoped out the area, there was no sign of a gateway, but she could feel the strong presence of the Force surrounding the place. This was it. Morai led her to a small platform with scripture presented to her, she assumed this was the entrance. The Force was reaching out to her, telling her to use her ability to open it. She held out her hand and shut her eyes, becoming one with the Force. The temple began to rise and twist as she opened it, Mina was watching on in awe at her mother's skill. The ground lit up as the doorway revealed itself, glowing symbols present as the structure paused. Mina looked at her mother as she came to her senses.
"I'll show you how to do that someday, baby." Mina squirmed and cooed. Morai had gone inside the entrance and Ahsoka followed closely. There were ancient signs and imagery carved into the walls, a language she could just about translate. Ahsoka could understand that the temple predated the Republic, even the Old Republic, this place was sacred. She struggled to comprehend why the Jedi had never spoken about this place, there was only a brief history of Lothal's connection to the Force that was taught to the younglings in the Jedi Temple, but nothing about the true depth of the connection. It was the same as when she returned from Mortis, not one Jedi was familiar with the Force Wielders. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan had never heard of the realm as it was never spoken about by the Jedi, which is why the three of them had taken it upon themselves to find out more. The Council took little interest in their discoveries, as they had other priorities with the War.
The art of the temple depicted images of the Mortis Gods, along with wolves and other symbols, she ran her hand across the walls as she walked deeper into the temple wanting to know more. The art was a language, disguising itself to the untrained eye. Ahsoka grew tired of exploring, nothing was revealing itself to her. She decided meditating would be a good place to start to unlock more secrets. She knelt and began to summon the Force. The dark space like place came to her, the same one from her dreams. She was alone as the voices called out to her.
Be with me. She whispered. Some of the voices stood out to her, Obi-Wan, Anakin all the Jedi. Even the Mortis Gods. Something was different this time, there were shapes along the pathways. She peered into a circular one and saw Anakin and Obi-Wan arguing. The two were aboard The Resolute, Anakin ranting to Obi-Wan about Ahsoka, she watched and listened intently.
"She reached out to us both, Obi-Wan. You felt it."
"I know, Anakin, but you need to stop dwelling on it. Your fixation is damaging your mental state."
"She was in pain, I thought you would understand why I need to find her." He crossed his arms in anger.
"Ahsoka wanted our guidance, in which we gave her but surely you can feel her at ease."
"That's just it, I can't feel her anymore. I just don't understand." Anakin was defeated.
"Neither do I, just give Ahsoka some time." Ahsoka turned away from the opening, the interaction upset her. She hated that Anakin was hurting but seeing it only made her feel more devastated.
As Ahsoka along each portal, she watched the timelines change. Her time on Mortis appeared through one and it caught her attention. She saw Anakin experience his future through The Son, his untimely downfall and the horror overcame her. Anakin never knew what had happened to him during that time, but it bothered herself and Obi-Wan greatly. However, the truth was revealed to her, Anakin would fall to the Darkside. She connected the dots and realised that Anakin was the reason she was here. He was the reason why the Universe was in danger, but she was unsure why. Her revelations broke her from the meditative state, she gasped and startled Mina who was staring at one of the symbols. She looked on to meet her daughter's gaze, it was a stray rock with hands carved into it. Ahsoka rose and made her way over to it, studying it further she knew Mina had found a clue. Ahsoka memorised the shapes and patterns, knowing it would be useful to her.
"You are for sure my daughter." She breathed, although she was only a few months old, Mina had a trained eye like Ahsoka. Mina's connection with the Force grew stronger as she got older, and this troubled Ahsoka. She knew Mina was advanced for her age, but she hadn't even started walking yet but could use the Force with ease. Ahsoka knew her gift would not go unnoticed by the Jedi, which made her worry that they would.
Anakin's fate was confirmed, and this unsettled Ahsoka. The temple sealed itself soon after she left, once again concealing its secrets. She pondered over what she had discovered, Anakin will fall, and she feels partly responsible for the outcome. Anakin was known to have a dark side when he was pushed but, not for a second did she believe that he would turn. Ahsoka had convinced herself that she was the reason he was going to fall, and she had to do something about it. Contacting him was not an option. There had to be another way to intervene without contacting him, she would not speak to any member of the Order and Padme couldn't know. Ahsoka knew they were married, and she wouldn't burden Padme with that, she was already asking too much of her to keep Mina secret. Ahsoka thought long and hard about her next steps, but she had no other option, she would have to contact a Jedi.

Chancellor Palpatine summoned Senator Bonteri to his office, he wanted to see how the young man was settling into the senate.
"Your Excellency." Lux bowed as the guards ushered him in.
"Ah, Mr Bonteri," He motioned for the guards to leave, the two men stood alone. Palpatine rose from his chair and headed to Lux. "You've been in office nearly a year now, I wanted to check how you were doing." Lux was nervous, The Chancellor had never spoken to him one-on-one before and it made him uneasy.
"It hasn't been smooth sailing, but I'm getting there." He stuttered. Palpatine smirked, he motioned for him to walk with him.
"You are becoming more popular with your peers; they appreciate your determination."
"I have Senator Amidala to thank for that, she has been more than helpful." Palpatine knew this, he could see how close the pair were. Lux worked hard and that had earned him respect with Palpatine.
"You have definitely earned your annual leave, everything you have done for your planet is remarkable." Lux hummed at him.
"Bringing Onderon to the Republic has been difficult, I won't lie. It was the right thing to do, although being an ex-separatist has hindered the change." Lux was fully aware that there was apprehension to him becoming a senator, many delegates did not agree with his position and gaining their trust must have been difficult.
"You look shattered, my boy. Tell me what is troubling you." Lux sighed, the senate wasn't the reason why he was still exhausted, it was the endless sleepless nights with Mina. He still had not caught up on sleep, but he wasn't going to share this with The Chancellor.
"Adjusting back after being a way for so long has taken its toll on me, I guess." He despised lying to him but, exposing the truth about Mina was not on the cards.
"I guess so, my boy." The two walked aimlessly across the corridors, both were silent. "Tell me, Mr Bonteri do you have a family." Lux gulped but tried to hide his suspicion.
"I did, Sir. Both my mother and father are no longer here."
"I'm terribly sorry, the loss of your mother affected me greatly. To stand in front of our enemy and desire peace was honourable. She had a strong voice, just as you do." Lux smiled at the compliment.
"Did you ever work with my mother?"
"Why yes, I did long before the War started. It was a shame when she left." For the longest time Lux had believed his mother chose the right side but he has now come to realise that he was wrong. But by doing that, he had the chance to meet Ahsoka that he was thankful for.
"I'm glad you are settling in, my boy. I hope to hear from you soon."
"Thank you, your excellency." With that Palpatine strutted away, Lux watched as he gracefully left his side. He enjoyed their brief encounter; however, he could not help but feel that Palpatine had an ulterior motive and that unsettled him.
The Chancellor made his way back to his office, slightly annoyed that Lux had lied to him.
"Did the boy speak of the child?" Pried the senate guard. Palpatine shook his head.
"No, he did not." His true intentions were for Lux to speak of his child, he could sense her presence and was threatened by it. The child was strong with the Force, like its mother. Part of him expected Lux to hide her existence, only proving his suspicions that the child was strong. The Jedi were too ignorant to notice the power of the child, the parents had probably succeeded at concealing her existence, but they could not hide her from the Sith Lord.
He was informed of the child's mothers' journey to the hidden temple on Lothal, to uncover the truth of her offspring and Palpatine craved that power. The parents were not aware of his knowledge, the child was the light side of the Force and Palpatine was menaced by her existence.
"Dispatch General Skywalker and his Clone Battalion to Lothal."
