Shortly after breakfast and class, Miss Grimwood was in her office organizing her stuff, she was sitting as her desk shuffling some paper work, while matches was laying on his back, in a small bed, snoring sleeping peacefully emitting small smoke rings from his nostrils as he did.
" There, that just about does it. " she said setting the stack of paper aside. she then heard a knock at her door,
" Come in the door is open, " she called out politely.
sibella then entered the room, glancing about for a moment before stepping all the way in.
" Ah sibella, I was actually hoping to see you soon today, " miss Grimwood said motioning for her to sit down,
" oh that's good. because I do need to speak with you about something, that has been brought up to my concern, " she said taking a seat in front of her desk like before,
" You do now ? whatever is my dear ? " miss grimwood said listening,
" it's about you assigning me to sleep share my room with the new student. winnie . "
" as yes, I was going to tell you about that yesterday, but I'm afraid I could not find you at the time, " miss grimwood explained,
" yes I know, I was out on a flight, " sibella admitted " but you see the problem is, I just spent one night with her, and well, I don't think it's going to work out well between us sharing the room. " she explained..
" oh no ? what is the problem you two seem to be having, ? " miss grimwood said sounding a bit more concerned.
" well, its not so much she seems to have a problem, but the fact I have a problem with her, " she began to explain, " you see, she's a very messy and noisy. howling at the moon all night, leaving her stuff all over the room, I could barely get any sleep last night due to her, and that was just one night, I don't think I can bare another, I ask you, must I continue to share room's with her ? " sibella aid not trying to sound too rude with the question,
" oh, I had no idea that it'd cause you such stress though winnie is a werewolf, and from what I know, they can tend to be a little more, how shall I put it, outwardly epxrssive and high spirited , but that was not what I was expecting, but I must admit, I had to place her in your room, sense well, there are no others available . " she said with her eyes closed and sighing,
" are you for sure ? " sibella asked hoping she'd not hear the answer she feared
" I'm afraid so, we are at a maximum attendant rate here, the school can only accommodate a 15 to 16 ghouls max as far as rooms go, and your room is the last double room open, I figured it'd be best this way for now, that's why I assigned her there, "
sibella looked down and sighed a little, " I..understand, if that's the case, then I won't bother you more on it, " she said a little heavily,
" look, it's only for a couple weeks, since most of the students will graduate then,, there will then be a large number of rooms available again, winnie can then move to one of them instead, " miss grimwood reassured while begging to pour herself a cup of toadstool tea,
" oh would you care for some tea sibella. " she said offering her some,
sibella looked up and smiled with a light nod. "
miss grimwood then proceeded to pour her a cup as well " and no need to worry, I'll have a talk with winnie about some of the regulations we have here, " she said handing sibella the cup,
" thank you miss grimwood, I'm glad you understand, " she said taking a sip.
" No worries sibella, you know the funny thing is, we are expecting another new student at the school very soon," she said taking a sip of her tea as well,
" another ? I thought you just said there was no room for more to stay ? " sibella questioned
" oh I know, but you see, they are coming all the way from Egypt, " she informed, " theirs a special place that had been assined for them a earlier down in the lower chambers were they'll be staying, in the sarcophagus room. not really a place you or a werewolf would prefer to stay " she gave a hinting
sibella rubbed her chin, and took another sip of tea, " I see, " she said, sorta getting the hint,
" indeed, they should be arriving later today, " Miss grimwood said, " now picking up a plate of moldy biscuits, and offering one to sibella, to which she accepted,
sibella thought in her mind about the new student, she was hoping who ever it was, was a much better mannered student then winnie,.she took a bit of the biscuit. ,
" Now is there anything else you would like to inform me about. " she asked.
" well I guess that's all I wanted to say then, thanks for your time miss grimwood, " sibella nodded and placed her cup of tea down. "
" No problem sibella, but before you go, I want to let you know, please stop by later in about a half hour at the volley ball court, I have some good new, " she said with a wink,
sibella looked a little confused.." oh...right, Um sure thing miss grimwood, " she said standing up, and thanking for the tea..
...
elsewhere in the school. winnie was seen chatting with some of the other students..
" yeah, right in the face.." winnie chuckled. " I never seen someone slip up like that before. "
the others students were giggled as she explained what sibella had done yesterday, "
" wow, think, sibella the daughter of the mighty Dracula, and she can't even serve a simple Volley ball . " one other student said with a small chuckle,
" aw, don't be mean though, not everyone can have great sports skills born into them. " winnie said proudly.
" Ahem " she heard someone speak behind her, winnie's ears twitched, " she looked over to see Elsa folding her arms and glaring at her,
the students who were listening to winnie just sheepishly back out of the room and away,
" oh hey Elsa, Just sharing the story of what sibella did yesterday, "
" I can see that. " elsa raised an eyebrow, " but look don't you think that's a little, rude, I mean, does sibella know your telling everyone, "
" I'm sure she figured it out, after all, everyone pretty much knows now, and really I don't think it's rude to share something so funny, " winnie said standing up,
" well I should just warn you, Gossip is no joke, " elsa informed her, just then Phantasma phased through the floor,
" hey there ! I been looking for you ! " she said cheerfully,
" what's the hap's ? winnie asked, noticing how excited she seemed to be, she only new the phantom for a couple days, but she could tell she was a very easily excitable kind,
" I just got some news from miss grimwood. she want's us to meet her at the volley ball court Pronto ! " she exclaimed.
winnie and Elsa both glanced over at one another...
out in the volley ball court,
miss grimwood had sumend the girls to meet her hear. she seemed to be very Happy about something, and the ghoul girls could only guess what it was for,
" Well my ghouls. I bet you know why I called the four of you here. " she began,
" I had gone over your results when I tested you yesterday at tryouts. and I'd like to
gladly say, you have all passed, " she announced in a cheerful tone,
there was a look of shock and excitement among the ghouls upon hearing the news,
" alright, piece of cake I tell you. never any doubt, " winnie said jumping into the air and letting out a delighted Howl,
" I can't beleive it, I'm part of a team ! I'm part of a team ! " phantasma shot into the air bursting into with joy,
sibella and Elsa seemed a little more content with there responses, not expressing the same amount of joy and enthusiasm as the others were, but Elsa did show a look of gladness on her face but sibella showed a more confused look instead...
" splendid news I bet, I knew I was right to suggest the idea to you three, " Miss Grimwood said looking toward sibella Elsa and phantasma. winnie just raised and eyebrow over at them from her doing so,
" This is really exciting miss grimwood, you don't no how much this means to me " Phantasma said gleefully floating up to her,
" Oh I bet i have an idea, and this means a lot to me as well, having get to teach this sport for the first time to you, just shows there's always something new for anyone, no matter the age, " miss grimwood chuckled at her own joke,
" well then, sense we have made the team, what does that exactly mean for us then ? " Elsa questioned
" well my Elsa dear. sense we now have a school Sports team, we can now partake in competing against other schools in the same sport we have picked, " she began to explain, " which means in no time, we'll be up against another school to try and win a trophy that we can place in our school to show the awesome feat we had done, "
" winning a trophy. now that sounds like something I'd like to be associated with, " winnie said with a grin,
" well don't worry about that, you'll have that chance soon enough, until then, we will have plenty of time for practice before that, as we will have one practice course for you each day after class. right her in this court, thanks to our little friend Legs" miss grimwood said, pointing over to a large spider that was seen fixing up the hole in the volley ball net that Elsa had caused yesterday with his Webs..
" really useful I will say, " she said giving the spider a thumps up.
" everyday. but that might cut into my science studies " Elsa informed.
" don't worry. I promise you'll still have plenty of time for that, as each practice is only an hour long,and it will all be worth it, believe me, "
Elsa nodded but still seemed a bit unsure, " well if you say so, when does our practice begin then ? "
" well our first one will be tomorrow at this time, so make sure to be hear, " she said winking,
" wait, what school will be be up against then ? " phantasma asked,
" that hasn't been figured out yet, but in all do time it will be, so until then, just be sure to show up for practice.
all the ghouls were indeed excited by the new of being the first to be part of the grimwoods sports team. sibella though, remained silent through most of miss grimwood explaining to them what they'd be doing. she admitted to herself, she was expecting miss grimwood to pick her to be on the team regardless of what happened at tryouts, but she still couldn't wrap her mind around why she would, she looked over at the others who seemed to be rather glad of the situation, and she could understand why, and while she may not be as excited as the rest of them...she knew can't let her self be seen as a moper..or someone who gives up..she was a Dracula..and what ever miss grimwood's reason for including her was , she was going to at least give this her best effort...
sibella let a small smile appear on her dace as she listened on to what miss grimwood was saying..
" so again my ghouls be here after school the same time, I know you will make me proud, and will go down in history for this school. " she said before dismissing them back to there daily routines.
" OOh I can't wait to write to my parent's about this ! " phantasma cheered.." they'll be so excited to hear, "
As the ghoul girls all soon began heading back inside of the school. miss grimwood however stopped winnie before she did,
" oh winnie before you return. I'd like to have a word with you alone if you will, " she said calling out to her,
winnie stopped in her tracks and glanced around looking a little unsure, but made her way over to her,
" what's up miss G ? " she said standing before her,
" oh. just something I'd like to discuss with you, " she stated,
as the others went on, sibella glanced back for a moment, before moving on, while phantasma and Elsa didn't seem to be interested in what miss grimwood had to say..sibella had a feeling as to what she wanted to talk about, but she just made her way back inside with the others..,,
...
later that night,...
sibella ws in her room getting ready for the night once again, she had slipped into her night gown and had brushed her hear and her fangs...she wad ready to slip into Bed for the night when suddenly her door burst open, sibella looked back a little alarmed by this, only she then saw that it was winnie standing there in the doorway, how ever she appeared to look a little displeased..
" oh winnie, you startled me, " she said sitting up from her vanity mirror,
" heh heh, funny thing sibella..I just got back from having a little talk with miss grimwood, " she said in a slightly irritated tone,
" oh., yes so I saw, was it anything important ? "she asked feeling little awkward by this,
" don't play dumb with me Fangs...I know you had something to do with this, " winnie growled..
sibella looked a little puzzled by her sudden hostile nature she was presenting to her,
" winnie what's the matter, why are you lashing out at me like this " sibella questioned
" Miss grimwood had talked t me about, my behavior. Saying I was being a bit disruptive to other students. making a mess with my belongings, and not picking up after myself, " she said with her arms crossed.." Now she's saying I need to follow the regulations of this place,.." she growled to herself.
" well winnie sweetie..don't you think...that's for the best.. I mean you can't just act however you want..you only been here for a couple days now..it's better to know the rules before doing anything else,. " sibella said rubbing the back of her head,
" well funny thing is, no one seemed to have an issue with me being me, expect you ! " winnie barked...
sibella's eyes widened a little as winnie glared over at her...she knew this werewolf was..a bit rowdy...but never thought she'd make this big a deal out of it, "
" So i know you have something to do with this, you couldn't stand me..so you had to go and whine like a baby to the teacher..! " winnie continued to growl,
it was sibella's turn to now look angry, as she was not going to stand there and let this werewolf insult her for her own faults...
" well, yes..It was me..but I had too..that first night was the worst night of my life here..all those things missgrimwood said to you are true..so if you are going to stay here..you will follow those rules.." sibella said sternly,
" your supposed to be a vampire right ? a Dracula at that..well what kind of ghoul acts like you..it's complete pansyness, nothing wrong with being true to what you are, and what I am is a werewolf, it's in my nature to do what I do, "
sibella rolled her eyes at her statement, " oh please what are you ? living in the stone Dark age ..ghouls aren't the same as they used to be, vampires aren't crazed blood suckers as much as you werewolves aren't feral beasts. and speaking of which I don't think your whole werewolves don't take bath's statement is true, that just seems ridiculous "
winnie's ears then twitched..." what, your crazy of course it's true, why Would I make that up ? "
sibella then put a small smirk on her face.." well for one...you seem pretty quick to defend that specific statement, "
winnie then looked as though was about to start sweating.." s-so what..that doesn't m-mean anything, " winnie said, with a nervous look.
" and well,,,I just happen to stop by the library earlier and did a little research. And brushed up on some werewolf study...and well..lets just say there is no evidence for that clam of yours." sibella said holding up a book that read Werewolves 101...
winnie then tugged at the collar of er dress. " well, yeah it's not a well known fact..." she then gulped..
sibella then walked up to her..." so tell me winnie..if you do hate baths like we vampires hate garlic, would that mean If I were to show you this.." sibella then held out a bar of soap she had hidden behind her back, " would you go into an allergic reaction and swell up ? " she said holding up the soap,
winnie yelped as she then jumped back a meter, the fur on her body looked as though it was standing up straight,,she had a look of fear on her face as sibella presented the bar..
sibella looked a bit surprised by this, she was not expecting the werewolf to react to like that,,.but she was still alive like she expected...in fact winnie appeared to react more like she was startled by the soap then anything else...sibella then put on a mischievous grin..
" say, your afraid of baths aren't you...it's not a werewolf thing like you say..your simply afraid ? " she giggle to herself,
winnie then sighed as she realized she had been caught.. .." Fine you got me..i'm not allergic or anything. I just...I just don't like baths..alright " she said crossing her arms.." but really I'm not scared of them or anything, "
sibella stared at her with a raised eyebrow.." oh really then...then why don't you at least take one of them, "
winnie turned and face away from her " cause I always hated taking them,,,and well,,my family..well that's the one thing they always made us do..so I'll tell you this..that's one thing that's never going to happen..I'll follow what ever else you want..but don't expect me to bath myself, " winnie said making her way over to her bed and laying down on top of it, facing away from her..
sibella rubbed her chin, she would not have guessed someone like would be afraid of something as simple as a bath..she figured it at something to do with her being lazy..but afraid ?..now that made sense for a cat, not werewolf..,
sibella climbed into her own bed and shut of the lamp..now knowing the little secret winnie had tried to keep...
ans knowing that, she had a feeling that tomorrow things were going to go better for her...
