Chapter 74: Departing To The Final Battle! Lucy's Fierce Grudge! Kotomi's Malicious Light! Viciousness of Celestial Power!
Lucy walked into the Sabertooth guild with a confident smile on her face, glancing at Sting as he left his office. Sting smiled at Lucy in a calm manner while they both realized that the fateful day finally arrived, and they would soon be heading to Magnolia Town. Even though most of that town had been destroyed, Lucy felt that she needed to fight against Kotomi in a place where no innocent people could get hurt. If any bystanders were caught in the crossfire of their spells, then Lucy believed that she would be just as bad as Kotomi.
However, Lucy would do her best to fight with spells that were powerful enough to help her win without destroying her original body. Kotomi would likely fight her with the intent to kill, not showing any mercy. On that note, Lucy's eyes began to display a slight bit of anxiety from wondering if she was truly ready to fight against that thief. If Lucy was even lacking one spell that could help her have an advantage in that fight, then she would only be making herself be unprepared. Lucy wanted to fully be ready for this fight, and her eyes started to show frustration at how she wanted to stop doubting herself.
This got the attention of Risa, who sat down at a nearby table with Rogue and Frosch. Frosch and Rogue watched Risa get up from the table to glance at Lucy's outfit, Lucy had her green hair down while she wore a royal purple dress with an amethyst purple stripe around the waist, and Lucy also had an orchid purple belt around her waist. Lucy wore an orchid purple T-shirt underneath her dress, and the shirt complimented her plum purple tights. The plum purple tights went well with her mauve purple leggings, and Lucy also wore some lilac purple flat shoes.
Upon seeing Lucy wear some lilac purple shoes, Risa smiled nicely at her best friend's fashionable outfit. Even though this would probably be the final outfit that Lucy would wear while she would be in Kotomi's body, Risa was glad that Lucy always tried to follow her great sense of fashion. Risa wore a light pink blazer over her hot pink halter top that exposed her stomach, and Risa's hair was tied back into a long ponytail with a magenta pink scrunchie. The scrunchie went well with Risa's cerise pink skirt, which had a light pink belt around it. The belt went well with her knee-high boots, which were bubblegum pink.
After glancing up from the sight of her own boots, Risa told Lucy with an optimistic smile on her face, "Lucy, don't get nervous about fighting Kotomi! It's going to end in your victory, and I don't even need to foresee it by using Psychic Magic!"
Rogue told Lucy with a somewhat stern facial expression, having intensity in his eyes as he thought about Lucy's fourth legendary ring, "Speaking of Psychic Magic, I hope you realized that you need to unlock the full potential of each ring."
That prompted Lucy to respond with a slightly disappointed facial expression, glancing down at the Fuchsia Pink Ring, "Well, I haven't made this ring or its three predecessors reach heir full potential. However, I could try."
Lucy proceeded to send some of her magical power into the Fuchsia Pink Ring, watching it appropriately have fuchsia pink beams of light emanating from it. Lucy watched her hair and eyes suddenly become fuchsia pink, indicating that she actually already awakened the full potential of this ring. Lucy started to look curious about how this happened, but glancing down at the ring again showed Lucy that it was shining with more brightness than the other rings right now. If all seven legendary rings were together, then the goddesses inside the rings probably updated the levels of power that the rings could hold for them to be in line with the highest level of power that was associated with the Amethyst Purple Ring.
Even that purple legendary ring shined less brightly while Lucy's hair and eyes cycled through different hues of pink, and Lucy started to have several thoughts of important wisdom running through her mind. She even thought about needing to wisely choose some of the spells that would counter the ones that Emiria didn't display in yesterday's training session, and Lucy also saw several unused spells relating to Psychic Magic rapidly appear in her mind. They all flashed right before her eyes, which now became hot pink at the same time as her hair.
As Lucy watched a hot pink aura surround her body during this moment where she began to levitate in midair, she sent some magical power into the Amethyst Purple Ring for it to be the ring that was now active. This caused the lights from the Fuchsia Pink Ring to lessen while the amethyst purple lights from the seventh legendary ring grew much brighter, and Lucy watched her hair and eyes change to cycling through different shades of purple. Lucy felt like she needed to stay with the idea of initially fighting Kotomi by using her Darkness Magic, since she had gotten such a high amount of practice with it in the past few days. Although, a soft knock on the guildhall's doors would soon inform Lucy that other people had been training.
After floating down to the ground and seeing Sting walk alongside Yukino to open the doors for two pink-haired women, Lucy asked with a curious facial expression, "What are you two doing here?"
Miru Itsuki responded to Lucy with a confident smile on her face, "Hey, Lucy. It's been a long time since our paths last crossed. Although, that purple hair of yours and that purple outfit make you look like a dark witch whose fashion sense is still inferior to mine. However, my fashionable love for pink dresses deserves less attention than this Psychic Cosmic Orb."
Shizue Momoiro added in a confident tone, smiling proudly as she stood on Miru's right side, "If you use magic to run to that final fight, you'll only be wasting magical power and foreseeing your own demise from being at a disadvantage. This Psychic Cosmic Orb will teleport you, Princess Risa, and the others to whatever town you want to be in."
"This spell isn't explosive, so you all just have to touch it at the same time like a tag-team that's in perfect sync. Of course, Shizue and I were in perfect sync with putting so much Psychic Magic into this spell before it got powered up by this-" Miru explained in a calm tone, before interrupting herself as she curiously looked around to see that someone from this group was oddly missing.
Miru asked Shizue in a somewhat startled manner, "Shizue, did that girl with purple highlights in her hair just quietly leave Parmanie after helping us amplify this spell's power with her dark magic?"
Shizue kindly replied, looking somewhat apologetic, "I didn't tell her to come with us, Miru. She just asked about what we were doing at the ruins while she was strolling through Parmanie like a tourist, and I only saw her happily smile up at the dawn's pink sky after we were all finished with creating the spell. Although, I think she said that her name was Rairakku."
At that moment, Lucy simply had a small smile on her face. Having the support of people in Parmanie Town was great, but Rairakku assisting in the creation of the pink orb that glowed brightly with hot pink energy swirling within it really informed Lucy that the dark mages of Gunjou were all hoping for her to be victorious in this important battle. Risa and Rogue walked over to the orb with Lucy while they also believed in her, and even Kusabue felt like joining in on seeing this journey through to its end. The young girl gave Lucy a stern look, not wanting her to lose.
Kusabue would honor Kūkiatsu's request of helping Lucy get her body back at any cost, and feeling a light breeze blow into the guild made the Sabertooth mage lightly close her eyes as she sensed that his spirit was still watching over the group. Kusabue glanced down at her shamrock green coat that went well with her mint green jeans, which complimented her moss green flat shoes, and she would gladly display the inheritance of her older sibling's intelligence by analyzing Kotomi's attacks to where they could easily be dodged or countered.
Yukino and Sorano both smiled in a confident manner while standing next to Kusabue, sharing her feelings about countering Kotomi's attacks. As a former Celestial Spirit Wizard, Sorano wondered if Lucy's impostor could even wield Gemini or Aries effectively in a battle. If she used any Celestial Spirits, then Sorano felt confident that she could defeat them with her Angel Magic. Yukino also felt that she could take down some of the Celestial Spirits, and she would also try to retrieve their keys after closing their gates. Yukino glanced over at Lucy, who didn't mind the idea of fighting her former allies, and both girls saw Sting walk over to the left side of Lucy. He gave her a very proud and confident smile, seeing her determined eyes tell him that she was ready for this battle, and all of the protagonists touched the orb that was in Miru's right hand. Miru watched them all become heavily engulfed in the hot pink aura, which became fuchsia pink, and everyone had their thoughts unified on where they would teleport to as the auras sprang up high into the skies.
Five minutes later, in Magnolia Town...
The hot pink auras loudly landed in the town of Magnolia, their impacts seeming as loud as meteorites before fading away to reveal that everyone had their eyes closed. Lucy slowly opened her eyes to see that she was in the town of Magnolia, a ruined city with several of its buildings crumbling down into rubble and ashes as they could no longer stand. Several of the buildings on this familiar street near the canal had been destroyed, and all of the destruction that was created by Kotomi only made Lucy narrow her eyes in sheer anger.
Lucy disliked the fact that Kotomi turned such a thriving town into a pile of rubble, hating the fact that she could feel the hot ashes and dust blowing through the air that symbolized the fact of all the destruction happening recently. Despite the fact that many buildings were destroyed, there were no townspeople who were seemingly alive. Lucy could only sense the magical power of one person who had woken up from the sound of the auras that crashed into the ground, and Lucy stepped back to prevent herself from being startled like when Kotomi destroyed that flower shop in Tokiwa Town.
Glancing at the flower shop that was on the other side of the canal allowed Lucy to see that the golden flames around it were finally dying out, and she frowned at how that flower shop joined its owner in being reduced to a pile of hot ashes. Judging by the power of that attack, Kotomi must have used an overpowered spell to quickly destroy that place. She definitely got stronger, even throughout yesterday's battles where she killed everyone in the Fairy Tail guild. Lucy would be sure to avenge them, though.
As Lucy tightly clenched her fists in a vengeful manner and looked quite serious, she heard the soft sound of her former apartment's front doors opening. Kotomi Takeuchi slowly walked out of the apartment, wearing a light gold T-shirt with a sunglow gold miniskirt, and she also wore some harvest gold high-heeled shoes. She lightly walked down the stairs, before happily sighing in Lucy Heartfilia's voice as she stretched her arms high above her head. She gently lowered them while her cocoa brown eyes curiously looked up at the sky to see what had made those explosions occur, but letting her cocoa brown eyes shift down to the sight of the real Lucy being here in Magnolia only made Kotomi have a sadistic look on her face.
"Well, it looks like we finally meet again. Aren't you going to greet Fairy Tail's new guild master, instead of having that angry look on your face like an upset little loser?" Kotomi told Lucy with an evil and smug smile forming on her face, before feigning a look of concern as she asked her question.
That prompted Lucy to respond with an angered facial expression, sounding enraged, "DON'T TRY TO ACT SO CASUAL WITH ME! YOU STOLE MY BODY, MY KEYS, MY FRIENDS, AND MY IDENTITY! I'M HERE TO GET EVERYTHING BACK, KOTOMI TAKEUCHI!"
Kotomi asked Lucy in a disturbingly calm tone, having a smug grin on her face, "Why are you so agitated by me, Lucy Heartfilia? Did I put you through so much hell at first by making you have the identity of a dangerous criminal? Are you mad that your friends truly believed that I was you? Are you jealous that I can hug those golden keys and keep them close to my chest every night?"
"YOU KEEP YOUR GRIMY HANDS OFF OF MY CELESTIAL SPIRITS!" Lucy yelled with a disgusted look on her face, hating the idea that Kotomi manipulated all of her former friends.
Despite the fact that Lucy wanted to battle against Kotomi in Magnolia Town, Sting frowned a bit as he could tell that Lucy's emotional feelings about the past and the sight of her old apartment were making emotional memories resurface. However, these feelings of nostalgia were harmful to Lucy because of how they were influencing the way that she was reacting to Kotomi's taunts. The enemy's choice of provoking Lucy was only making Lucy play into Kotomi's hands, and Sting could tell that Kotomi was trying to get Lucy riled up.
As Lucy took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, Sting sternly turned around to look at Risa. He silently motioned for her to stand at the front of the group, wanting Risa to start off this fight. Risa proceeded to quietly follow Sting's orders, and she charged up an Esper Ball in her right hand. The sight of the light pink sphere appearing only made Risa quickly pick up some shadows of the rubble with her left hand, and she made them coat the Esper Ball for its power to be amplified. The sphere became magenta pink, prompting Risa to throw it at her blonde-haired opponent.
Kotomi simply took the attack directly while arrogantly running towards Lucy, allowing a large magenta explosion to occur. Kotomi surprisingly emerged from the explosion with only a minor amount of damage, however. She ignored the magenta pink flames that were left behind, and Risa narrowed her eyes as she readied the spell known as Magenta's Glittering Psychic Dark Flares. Before Risa could fire the ring of glittery dark magenta flames from her mouth, Lucy rushed forward and stretched out her right arm to motion for Risa to restrain herself.
"Risa, you already had your crucial battle against Kyoko while having to overcome your trauma. Now, this is the time for me to confront my own demon." Lucy stated to her friend in a stern tone, sounding more relaxed as she made an amethyst purple aura surround her own body.
That prompted Risa to reply with a slight frown on her face, "All right, Lucy, but just don't let her mess with your emotions."
Lucy proceeded to focus on Kotomi while letting out another soft breath, and her mind had dark thoughts pertinent to the Glittery Amethyst Moonlight spell. Lucy quickly went over to a pile over a nearby ashes, her right hand touching it as she thought about these ashes belonging to a deceased person, and the ashes soon became amethyst purple. Amethyst purple glitter came up from the small pile of ashes to form the shape of an orb, and this orb quickly solidified as a crescent moon formed inside of it.
Lucy aggressively threw the attack at Kotomi, who only looked slightly concerned for a split second from sensing its Darkness Magic. The high amount of dark magic in Lucy's weakest attack prompted Kotomi to activate the spell known as Celestial Starfall, and Kotomi shot out two harvest gold rings from her right hand. They soon became Aspen gold, and the gold rings struck Lucy's attack. She watched it immediately become immobilized, prompting her to place her hand on the nearby ashes and recreate the Glittery Amethyst Moonlight spell. Although, Lucy made the orb shift to being in a lilac hue of purple.
She interestingly threw the orb at her own attack, causing it to also get immobilized while the two orbs merged together for their levels of power to also combine. This larger orb now had two Aspen gold star-shaped projectiles coming down towards it, but Lucy's dark thoughts of lilac purple flames resulting in violence caused her attack to create a massive lilac purple blast! It spun outward, prompting everyone to leap back while the fiery blast also endured the impacts of Kotomi's stars that became sunglow gold at the last second to create large explosions! They pushed against Lucy's fusion spell, and Kotomi's lips formed an evil smirk as she wouldn't let Lucy get any momentum in this battle.
Kotomi proceeded to use the spell known as Celestial Horologium, and she created a beam of celestial energy in her right hand. She glanced down at her hand to see the beam's colors alternating between the colors of light gold and harvest gold, and the beam alternated between those shades of gold at a normal level of speed. She waited for the blasts to start fading away, before aggressively firing the spell at Lucy. Lucy wasted no time with sending a high amount of Darkness Magic down into her feet, helping herself hastily evade the attack.
It created a large blast that ended up being light gold, but Lucy boldly got close to it as she activated the spell known as Nightly Purple Silhouette. Lucy briefly glanced up at the sky that had turned lilac purple as her body became an amethyst purple silhouette, and Lucy felt the power of her Darkness Magic increase. She quickly ran towards Kotomi, who seemed somewhat shocked that Lucy made herself hide in the shadow of the blast as she unleashed that spell. This only made Kotomi proceed to feel the aftereffect of Celestial Horologium quickly affect her body, allowing her own levels of speed and power to increase.
She quickly activated the spell known as Celestial Star Cassiopeia, and Kotomi made her palms be close together. She watched a gold sphere of Celestial Spirit Magic form in between them, and gold beams of light were shining from the sphere. The sphere soon became honey gold as if it was ready to be thrown at Lucy, but Kotomi smirked deviously at the last moment by making the spell gently touch the Celestial Sorcerer Ring that was on her right hand. The sight of the spell creating a large explosion against her own ring surprised everyone, but Lucy gasped in a startled manner from seeing Kotomi's hair and eyes cycle through varying shades of gold.
Kotomi used this momentum to create the Celestial Star Cassiopeia spell again, making the sphere become cream gold right before it shifted to being sunglow gold, and Kotomi aggressively slammed the spell against Lucy's body. Lucy was quickly engulfed in a cream gold blast that became sunglow gold, and she screamed in a tremendous amount of pain! The impact of the attack also caused Lucy's own attack to detonate in an amethyst purple blast that was quite large, leaving her unable to slam into Kotomi with this attack.
Kotomi told Lucy with a sadistic smile appearing on her face, "Well, I now see how your spell works. Maybe that's why you were wanting to get so close to me."
Kotomi added, as she started to giggle in an evil manner with deviousness in her eyes, "Oh, and you're very stupid for standing in those blasts. Celestial Astra Nova!"
As Lucy still had the amethyst purple aura of Darkness Magic surrounding her feet, she thought to herself in a frustrated manner, "What is she going to do now?!"
Kotomi watched a circle of lights in a pure hue of gold appear beneath her feet, and the beams slowly rotated around her. She glanced upward to see four pure gold stars appearing directly above each of the beams, and Kotomi aimed her right hand at Lucy. That caused all of the star-shaped projectiles to converge on the spot where Lucy was standing while being badly bruised, and Lucy interestingly activated the spell known as Amethyst Bliss Trick. As the seven amethyst purple flames appeared in her right hand, Lucy willed them into becoming neon purple as she affectionately kissed them.
This caused the flames to grow much larger, before they sprang up high to ram themselves into Kotomi's projectiles. Kotomi watched the large and fiery neon purple explosions occur in the sky while her own attack had much more power to create four pure gold blasts that were in a tremendous size, but she ignored the sight of Lucy using Amethyst Bliss Trick again to interestingly create seven more amethyst purple flames. They soon became mauve purple as Lucy kissed them, but Lucy strangely aimed the attack at herself.
The moment where her mauve purple flames leaned back to cover her in vicious streams of mauve purple fire was when Lucy got the attention of Kotomi, who laughed in an arrogant manner from thinking that Lucy was inflicting damage on herself to give Kotomi an easy victory. However, the blonde-haired girl glanced down at how Lucy's aura-covered feet stepped into the small shadows of some flames that descended to the ground. This allowed Lucy to activate Nightly Purple Silhouette again, but Lucy now looked like an amethyst purple shadow that was covered in enormous flames.
Upon seeing her running at fast speeds while the flames grew larger from her dark thoughts, Kotomi asked aloud in a startled manner, "What did she do?!"
Sting thought to himself, smiling in a proud manner as he folded his arms, "Lucy, you created a makeshift fusion spell by using your moves in an unorthodox manner to make Kotomi feel too arrogant to attack in this moment."
Kotomi quickly built up power for the spell known as Celestial Berserker Beam, but she was too late. Lucy ran fast enough to slam into her at high speeds, causing a massive and fiery amethyst purple explosion to occur! Those large flames soon became mauve purple while all of the fire ended up spreading outward, and Kotomi screamed in pain from having to endure this attack. She soon felt one of Lucy's hands tightly grab her wrist while the impact burned as hot as if Kotomi's arm was being drenched with lava.
Lucy was making her flame-covered hands burn Kotomi's body, and she used this as the perfect chance for activating the spell known as Hex's Purple Blood. This spell caused Lucy's silhouette to have long and feminine nails on her hands, allowing her to pierce Kotomi's skin, and Kotomi screamed in agonizing pain from how she was taking much more damage in this situation. Lucy proceeded to scratch her arms in an aggressive manner with her slashes containing much more strength while Kotomi's aggressive punches in response were weaker, and the purple sky's moonlight lightly touched Lucy's claws.
In a few seconds, Lucy felt all of her wounds be healed while the aftereffect of her hex made fire surround her entire silhouette. Kotomi angrily scowled at her, before screaming in more pain at how the moonlight seemed to be worsening the damage of all the cuts on her skin. She groaned in pain, refusing to fall to her knees as her wounds were now having amethyst purple blood fall from them. As Lucy softly giggled in the moment where her silhouette gently put one hand under her own chin, Kotomi's eyes narrowed with sheer anger.
She tightly clenched her fists, refusing to accept that the weak girl who she defeated in Tokiwa Town was now a competent mage who could change the flow of this battle. If Lucy was aiming to shift the flow of the battle, then Kotomi felt like she needed to fight much harder. She proceeded to pull out the grey ring of golden Zodiac Gate Keys from the right pocket of her miniskirt, and Kotomi smirked evilly as she wanted to make the first Celestial Spirit in her arsenal be useful to her during this fight. She let the golden ring on her right hand gently touch the key pertinent to the Gate of The Lion, causing a golden aura to heavily transfer itself from the key to her ring.
This new surge in power caused Kotomi to evilly grin, and she ran towards Lucy. Lucy was startled by the sight of Kotomi activating a spell called Celestial Regulus Drill, and Kotomi made a high amount of pure gold celestial energy surround her right hand. The energy took the form of a large lion's head, before Kotomi rapidly moved her hand in a clockwise manner. This caused her Celestial Spirit Magic to change into a shimmer hue of gold, before shifting to a dandelion shade of gold, and the drill grew much larger as dandelion gold beams of light began to brightly shine from it.
Kotomi's spell surprisingly struck Lucy's silhouette, creating a large blast that was dandelion gold. However, the blast itself dealt more damage to Lucy from how all of the light within the attack violently exploded! Lucy reverted back to having her green hair and orange eyes while being pushed around within the blast, but Kotomi wouldn't give her any time to rest. Kotomi quickly activated a new spell called Celestial Regulus Fanged Light, and she made a harvest gold aura heavily surround her body. She ran into the dandelion gold blast, allowing its last moments of fading light to enhance the power of her own aura.
Kotomi aimed her eyes directly at Lucy, causing the harvest gold aura to lunge at her whilst taking the shape of several fanged teeth. The celestial energy crunched down on Lucy's body, causing her to scream in agonizing pain right before all of the fangs became sunglow gold. They instantly exploded in several sunglow gold blasts, causing Lucy to cough up blood while becoming more bruised, and Lucy gasped in a worried manner as she sensed Kotomi sending a high amount of Celestial Spirit Magic into her feet.
"What's wrong, you little bitch?! Where's all that confidence you just had?!" Kotomi rudely asked Lucy, as she dashed up to her and propelled her high into the air by kicking her in the chest.
Kotomi added in a devious manner, activating Celestial Horologium again, "I'll be sure to crush whatever remains of that confidence!"
Lucy soon felt herself get struck by a harvest gold beam of energy that came from below, the attack having been formed in Kotomi's right hand, and the golden blast that surrounded Lucy was much more powerful than before! Kotomi infused more power into her next instance of using Celestial Horologium, but she also combined it with a spell called Golden Lion's Regulus Vortex. This spell simply involved Kotomi shooting out a gold vortex of Celestial Spirit Magic from her mouth, and the vortex took the shape of a large three-headed lion.
The spell was fired at the same time as Celestial Horologium, causing Lucy to now be engulfed in two light gold explosions that were massive, and she screamed in excruciating pain! The blasts gave her more pain from how the Golden Lion's Regulus Vortex spell had its power increase from flying up into a blast containing Celestial Spirit Magic, and this spell also increased Kotomi's own level of power. She chose to try and end this fight by using a spell called Celestial Lion's Rage. Kotomi aggressively fired a sunglow gold beam into the explosions that were occurring, and the beam grew stronger and larger from all the light around it.
The beam went up past the explosions, before curving downward as it took the form of a gigantic lion's head. The lion looked enraged, malice in its gold eyes as Kotomi started looking malicious, and the moment where Kotomi casually opened her mouth was when the lion mimicked her behavior. It ended up swallowing Lucy, trapping her in its sunglow golden light that started to crush her, and Lucy silently cried with several tears emerging from her eyes. She sent some of her magical power into the Sapphire Blue Ring, only doing that in the five seconds before the lion's head detonated in a massive sunglow gold burst of light that became goldenrod at the last moment.
Upon seeing Lucy's lifeless body roughly crash into the ground for a crater to be formed, Kotomi told the Sabertooth mages with a smug smile appearing on her face, "Well, I'll be nice enough to let the weakling be in her grave."
As Sting heard the sound of Lucy's body sounding like cracking ice with water starting to flow, he replied with a confident look on her face, "If you had won, then Lucy wouldn't just be filling up that grave with water."
Kotomi asked aloud, seeing Lucy's body become celestial blue ice that melted down into a high amount of celestial blue water, "What?! She didn't lose to me yet?!"
Lucy responded in an aggressive manner, emerging from the deep waters of the canal after using the spell called Mermaid's Celestial Ice Body, "I don't intend on losing to you, Kotomi!"
Kotomi took notice of the lower half of Lucy's body resembling a celestial blue mermaid tail, and Lucy bounced up high into the air. She aggressively came down to make her tail viciously slam down on the water, resulting in some tidal waves rising up to where high amounts of water crashed down on the streets of Magnolia. Despite having a high amount of water at her disposal, Lucy felt that she needed to go a step further in her adjusted plan of fighting Kotomi with Water Magic. She proceeded to have a neon blue aura surround her body, and Lucy glanced up at the clouds.
They inspired her to activate the spell known as Celestial Neon Cumulonimbus, and Lucy shot out an extremely large neon blue cloud from her mouth. She aimed it up at one of the clouds, causing her attack to absorb that cloud upon making contact with it. Lucy's attack grew somewhat larger as it shifted between the hues of neon blue, celestial blue, cerulean blue, and sky blue. Lucy interestingly decided to tear off a piece of the cloud by gathering water in her hands, before her body was engulfed in a light blue aura that was also changing the properties of the water.
Lucy reshaped the water into a sphere, before sending her Ice Magic into it, and Lucy threw this weak attack up at her more powerful projectile. The sphere only managed to make its highest point be underneath the cloud, but its immediate explosion resulted in a piece of the cloud being torn away. As that resulted in sky blue bubbles being shot out from the sky blue cloud, Lucy started to smile in a confident manner at how she was going to make this battle shift back in her favor like the changing tides of water.
Lucy felt that this battle would shift during the moments of the sky blue bubbles striking the ground, seeing them create sky blue blasts while icy air spun outward. The icy winds started to freeze this specific area within Magnolia, making the ground and structures become encased in sky blue ice. That didn't stop Lucy from firmly aiming her right hand at the last few bubbles that descended from the cloud, smiling as they became neon blue. The neon blue bubbles aggressively crashed into the ground, creating neon blue blasts that smashed through some of the ice.
Those blasts also produced some neon blue water, but Lucy let it all create large puddles on the ground as she focused on the ice. Lucy quickly picked up some pieces of ice that were about to fall in the water, and she made her hands form a circle. As Lucy saw the frosty air appear in the circle, she made the shards of ice become periwinkle blue and she activated the spell known as Freezing Snowfall. Lucy fired six periwinkle blue beams of Ice Magic at Kotomi, who wasted no time with dodging those attacks.
The periwinkle blue blasts spun outward, freezing the ground beneath them, and Kotomi smirked evilly as none of them managed to hit her. She proceeded to activate the spell known as Celestial Berserker Beam, and Kotomi fired a nectar gold beam from her right hand. She fired it at the ice in front of Sting, intending to hit him, but Lucy intercepted the attack by shooting out the Ice Snowflake spell from her mouth as the aura around her body became dark blue. The dark blue snowflake was struck by the attack, and Lucy made it become ocean blue at the very last second before its effect could activate.
As the aura around her body also became ocean blue, Lucy watched her attack only become engulfed in a large nectar gold blast for only a few seconds. The light quickly faded away to reveal that an ocean blue bubble of icy water was now replacing the snowflake, and the beams of light that struck it from all directions were becoming ocean blue. The ocean blue beams found themselves trapped within the sphere, bouncing around without finding an exit, and this spell known as Oceanic Snowflake made an enemy's attacks become water that seemed like it was a cluster of small drops falling into the ocean.
Upon seeing the spell burst to create average-sized ocean blue tidal waves that rushed towards her, Kotomi angrily asked with a displeased facial expression, "When did that moron learn to think of a trick like this?!"
Lucy responded sternly, having a fierce facial expression as she aimed her hands at those waves, "That's not the only trick I've created with my Water Magic!"
Lucy proceeded to use the spell called Coastal Cerulean Sapphire Whirlpool, and she placed both of her hands into the canal's water. The water started changing from being plain blue to being cerulean blue while a cerulean blue aura engulfed her body, and Lucy moved her hands in a circular motion. She also sent more magical power into her hands, and the aura that surrounded her hands shifted to being neon blue. Lucy raised her hands up high into the air, causing two large neon blue whirlpools to rise up from the water.
Lucy aimed her hands at the waves that were headed towards Kotomi, and the whirlpools headed towards them. They ended up being behind two of the waves, before lightly sticking themselves to the smaller projectiles. The ocean blue waves moved towards Kotomi at much faster speeds with the twisters propelling them forward, and Lucy watched the attacks crash into her opponent. Kotomi screamed in pain from enduring the ocean blue and neon blue explosions that were quite large, and Lucy smiled proudly at the density of her attacks.
They were as dense as tempered ice, along with having the density of powerful water. As the bursts of water from the attack alternated between neon blue and cerulean blue, Lucy took notice of how Kotomi didn't evade those explosions. That was due to the neon blue water immobilizing Kotomi, having the properties of sticking to the opponent like water hat had an intense amount of stickiness. Since Kotomi couldn't move, Lucy felt like she definitely needed to keep up the pressure of this fight.
"Cerulean Bubble Gum!" Lucy shouted with a blatant frown on her face, looking quite stern.
Upon seeing Lucy inhale some of the canal's water and make it form a large bubble that was immediately chewed like gum in her mouth, Sting thought to himself with an impressed facial expression, "Lucy, you're thinking of spells, strategies, and counterattacks at such a fast rate!"
Lucy inhaled some cold air through her nose, before shooting out some of the projectiles from her mouth. These bubbles were light blue, and Lucy fired them at Kotomi. They struck her at the same time that the remaining ocean blue waves crashed into her, creating several powerful light blue blasts that were accompanied by ocean blue blasts. Even though Kotomi let out some screams of pain, Lucy proceeded to shoot out the remaining bubbles from her mouth. These bubbles shifted from being light blue to being neon blue, causing them to create several neon blue explosions that were quite large as their level of power was enhanced by the Water Magic that had already been exploding.
All of the explosions resulted in water bursting outward, covering the ground in many puddles, and Lucy got back on to the street while her mermaid tail disappeared for her legs to reappear. She stayed on her feet while watching every blue cloud of smoke clear up, and the blue dust settled to reveal that Kotomi was moderately bruised with only a few new bloody wounds. She had surrounded herself in harvest gold, celestial gold, and light gold Celestial Spirit Magic as a way of making herself be capable of withstanding the massive amounts of damage from Lucy's attacks.
Lucy groaned in frustration from seeing Kotomi go from being down on one knee to standing up straight with an arrogant smile on her face, and the vicious wizard would not be easy to defeat. She sent a high mount of Celestial Spirit Magic into her hands, before activating the spell known as Celestial Shining Arrow. This spell by itself caused Kotomi to have a large harvest gold bow in her hands while it came with ten arrows in a rich hue of gold that had star-shaped arrowheads. The rich gold arrows were all fired into the air while Kotomi glanced upward, and she only caught a glimpse of Lucy sending magical power into the Emerald Green Ring.
Sending magical power into the Emerald Green Ring allowed Lucy to wield her Wind Magic to its fullest potential, evident by how her hair and eyes proceeded to cycle through different shades of the color green. She immediately made her hands form the shape of a fanged mouth, but allowing the aura around her body to become basil green caused Lucy to unleash a variation of the spell known as Wind Altitude Aerial Burst. This spell was aimed down at the ice, allowing the frosty air to coat Lucy's hands right before she swung the fanged mouth up at the sky.
This caused a basil green beam of Wind Magic to emerge from her palms, the winds growing in size as the spell blew through the cold air. They soon split off into being several smaller beams, which went up to the ten rich beams that were now coming down from the sky. The collisions didn't stop some of Kotomi's projectiles from coming down towards Lucy, prompting her to use a spell called Juniper Tornado Punch. Lucy watched a mint green aura of Wind Magic engulf her right fist as if she was going to use Zephyr Punch, but seeing the aura match her hair and eyes in becoming juniper green caused Lucy to smile in a confident manner.
She maintained that smile while jumping up towards the remaining golden beams, and Lucy aggressively struck the winds with her right fist. This interestingly caused Kotomi's beams to become juniper green, before detonating in midair. The winds of the blasts pushed Lucy down to the ground, but inhaling a high amount of wind allowed Lucy to activate a new spell while a matcha green aura started to surround her body. This aura pertained to a new spell that Lucy created through improvisation, and it was known as Kaze's Matcha Blitz.
Kotomi watched Lucy become surrounded by two large matcha green winds that were shaped like a vulture's feathers, and these winds went down into the soles of her feet. Lucy rushed across the icy ground to get close to Kotomi, wanting to engage in close-combat. Kotomi proceeded to fire the Celestial Horologium spell at Lucy, not wanting her to get close, but the moment that Lucy swerved to her left was when the winds that were left behind interestingly created a clone of her. Thinking that Lucy was going to use that clone to double her own barrage of attacks, Kotomi reactivated the Celestial Shining Arrow spell to immediately fire ten arrows at it while a harvest gold explosion occurred!
Upon feeling her own levels of power and speed increase as the golden beams struck Lucy's clone, Kotomi arrogantly stated, "Well, that eliminates one problem."
Lucy responded in an aggressive manner, swerving from left to right mere moments before vanishing in front of Kotomi's eyes, "You've actually created another problem for yourself!"
As she saw Lucy's clones run into the blasts and instantaneously get eradicated, Kotomi asked aloud, "What the hell are you doing?!"
She couldn't react to sudden sight of Lucy reappearing in front of her to strike her with a powerful punch from her left fist, Lucy's left fist being coated in a matcha green vortex, and Kotomi was quickly engulfed in a matcha green explosion! The explosion was somewhat large, but the winds reformed on Lucy's hand in a massive size. That gave her the opportunity to strike Kotomi with several high-speed attacks, creating massive matcha green explosions that were releasing winds in that hue of green, and Lucy's own level of speed had drastically increased.
This gave her the idea of swerving around the blasts themselves, allowing her clones to purposely be obliterated into wind, and Lucy felt confident enough to use the spell known as Emerald Falling Birds. She shot out a large mint green tornado from her mouth, before making it accidentally become forest green, and the forest green tornado was blown down against the ground by the heavy winds that were already occurring. This made it detonate in a forest green blast that spun outward, but the winds in the center of the blast rapidly spun inwards to reach Kotomi.
She gasped in shock at the sight of several forest green birds flying towards her with small shields of dense winds in front of them, and Kotomi couldn't react fast enough to keep Lucy's pigeons from crashing into her. They created several forest green explosions, each successor being more powerful than its predecessor, and Kotomi screamed in excruciating pain. She felt like her body had been hit many steel bricks, and seeing her body contain more bloody wounds and bruises only made her frown at Lucy in sheer anger.
"What's with that look? Are you surprised that I can wield Wind Magic better than you ever could, Kotomi?" Lucy asked with a high amount of confidence displaying itself through her gleeful smile, finding it to be poetic that she was able to attack Kotomi with Wind Magic.
Kotomi responded with a frustrated and enraged scowl on her face, impulsively tearing the keys of Gemini, Sagittarius, and Loke off of the grey ring for them to be slammed against her gold ring, "There's no way...! Not to you...! THERE'S NO WAY I'LL LOSE TO A BITCH LIKE YOU! CELESTIAL SOULS, COME TO ME!"
Lucy worriedly asked, perceiving that as a spell, "Celestial Souls?! What spell is that?!"
Lucy was immediately blown backwards by the enormous golden aura that surrounded Kotomi's body, the aura rapidly cycling through multiple shades of gold. As the aura also made a plain gold maelstrom of celestial energy swirl around Kotomi, Lucy quickly got back up on her feet to see that Gemini was summoned. The two blue spirits immediately transformed into Kotomi, wearing a deep gold coronation dress as her hair was in a ponytail on the right side, and Gemini wore rich gold high-heeled shoes.
Sting and Lucy thought that this was going to become a two-on-two fight, but Kotomi's hands suddenly emerged from the vortex in a vicious manner. Her fingernails were all in different shades of gold while she also gained extremely long gold fingernails, and Kotomi stabbed Gemini in the chest! Gemini immediately coughed up pure gold blood, which was strange, but Lucy's eyes started to widen in horror from seeing Gemini transform into pure gold light. That light went on to Kotomi's right hand, forming a duplicate of the gold ring that she had already acquired.
Kotomi grinned maliciously as she felt herself have much more power, but she wasn't done. She immediately aimed her hands down at the ground, causing Lucy to see the souls of deceased mages all be light gold as they rose up from the ground. They all screamed in fear as they were absorbed into Kotomi's first gold ring, making her feel even more powerful. They were all followed by Sagittarius, who simply let out a scream of pain from aggressively being pulled into the maelstrom by Kotomi's strong hands.
Lucy watched her enemy now have an enormous rich gold bow in her hands, along with a limitless supply of golden arrows, and Kotomi sadistically grinned as she fired multiple arrows at Loke. The orange-haired man screamed in tremendous pain, before he joined Sagittarius and Gemini in becoming another gold ring on Kotomi's hands. She now had much more ferocity and viciousness like a lion, even having fanged teeth that shined with an intense amount of brightness. High amounts of power were now flowing through Kotomi, but Lucy looked a bit unsure about winning as the rapidly-changing golden auras were accompanied by Kotomi's golden hair covering her eyes during her moments of giggling in a very disturbing manner.
Kotomi proceeded to activate a spell called Celestial Meteor Strike, and she aimed her right hand at Lucy. Lucy watched a rich gold star-shaped projectile descend from the sky, prompting her to immediately send some of her magical power into the Fuchsia Pink Ring. As this caused Lucy's hair and eyes to start appearing in varying shades of pink, she immediately felt Kotomi's attack pass through her body without doing any damage. Lucy started to look confused, before her mind foresaw what would happen next.
Several larger star-shaped projectiles in the rich hue of gold came down upon Lucy, almost like Kotomi was getting revenge on the Sabertooth mage for bombarding her with many recent attacks. Lucy attempted to counter this spell by using an attack known as Psycho Mind Ring, and Lucy created a cerise pink ring in between her hands. She lightly thrusted them upward, causing the ring to gently float upward, and this variation of Psychic Synchronic Ring was going to make anything that touched it become distorted by the ring's powerful Psychic Magic.
However, the cerise pink explosions that occurred when the stars touched the ring were surprisingly not dealing any damage! Lucy was startled, and she ended up screaming in agonizing pain as Kotomi's attacks became harvest gold right before slamming into her! The massive amounts of energy from the enormous harvest gold blasts made a harvest gold aura engulf Kotomi's body, and she giggled maliciously while feeling her own level of speed drastically increase. Kotomi wasted no time with activating her next new spell, which was called Starry Precision.
Kotomi simply fired all of her bow's arrows at the harvest gold blasts, not even caring that her arrows were unbalanced. They all zeroed in on the spot where Lucy was standing while the arrows shifted to being cream gold, and Lucy's attempt at deflecting some of the arrows with the Zen Psychotic Beam spell only made the plain pink beam explode from being a futile defensive move. Lucy couldn't defend herself against the arrows of celestial energy, becoming trapped in the numerous cream gold explosions.
"My spells are much too strong for your pathetic attacks, but I'll make my invincibility even more apparent to you!" Kotomi viciously stated to Lucy, who kept screaming as she was becoming more bruised and bloodied.
Upon seeing Kotomi firmly slam the gold keys of Virgo and Aries against her original gold ring for the Celestial Spirits to be cream gold as they were summoned, Risa stated aloud, "If you're so invincible, then let's see how you fare against me!"
Aries and Virgo stated aloud in a terrified manner, as Risa got to see their worried faces during the moments where Kotomi fatally stabbed them both in the back, "Princess, this isn't like you!"
As Kotomi made them both become cream gold auras that transformed into more rings, Risa made a light pink sphere form in her left hand. She made it become bubblegum pink, before making the sphere become magenta pink. Its outer rims were magenta pink while the beams of psychic energy that swirled around it were rouge pink, and rose pink beams of light were shining from this attack. This variation of Extrasensory Psychic Soul Destruction was called Clairvoyant Psychic Mind Obliteration, and Risa aggressively threw the spell at Kotomi.
She watched it create a massive blast hat shifted from being light pink to be magenta pink, before it displayed the shades of rouge pink and rose pink. The aftereffect of this spell was that it allowed Risa to levitate in midair while a high amount of psychic energy was now making the battlefield be covered in a pink aura. Risa felt that this was a good way for her to strengthen her own attacks while the power of Lucy's spells would also be enhanced, and she watched Lucy activate a spell known as Calming Psychic Beam.
This spell involved Lucy's eyes and hair being rouge pink as a rouge pink spoon appeared in her left hand. Lucy easily bent the spoon forward four times by using telekinesis, causing it to strangely transform into a rose pink orb that entered her mouth, and Lucy fired the attack at Kotomi. The orb split itself into eight rose pink orbs that quickly formed a diamond around the antagonist, before the psychic energy from earlier made them grow while they became pale pink. The pale pink orbs all slammed against Kotomi's body, creating eight massive pale pink blasts that became watermelon pink, and Lucy felt herself levitate very high after lightly jumping.
Upon seeing all the blasts quickly fade away to reveal that Kotomi was unharmed, "Lucy exclaimed with a facial expression displaying feelings of disbelief, "This can't be happening!"
"Well, it is happening! Celestial Chain Spikes!" Kotomi exclaimed in a fierce manner, before loudly slamming both of her hands down on the ground.
The feeling of the ground violently shaking caused Kusabue and the others to jump upwards, only to feel themselves get impaled by the thin beams of celestial gold light that quickly shined up from the ground at blinding speeds. The sound of Rogue screaming in tremendous pain from being pierced by so many beams of light at the same time made Risa turn around to look at him in a worried manner, only to feel herself get impaled by many powerful beams of light! This spell actually got stronger with its increasing height, each inch adding more power to the attack.
Risa could only scream in agonizing pain from feeling her entire body being stabbed by the light, coughing up high amounts of blood, and she was badly wounded. Risa weakly glanced at Lucy to see that she could only create the pink orb for the spell known as Psychotic Meditation, and Lucy fired the rose pink orb down at Kotomi's attack. Even though the rose pink orb exploded and made its rose pink aura cover the ground, destroying the space around all the blinding light didn't even affect Kotomi's spell in a negative way.
Instead, her beams of light became sunglow gold while they also grew much larger from taking in the light of the blast. The powerful beams of light instantly pierced through several parts of Lucy's body, causing her to become much more bloodied and bruised. She felt an immense amount of pain in her body, coughing up blood while she could barely breathe. As Lucy joined all of her teammates in falling to the ground and getting more impaled, she weakly clenched her right fist in a determined manner from hearing Kotomi sigh happily at how this spell's aftereffect involved all of her wounds fully healing. Kotomi laughed evilly, the maelstrom around her body growing much larger as the light from the Celestial Chain Spikes attack started to fade away.
Now that Kotomi felt she had won, she gently absorbed the maelstrom of Celestial Spirit Magic into her hands. She grinned evilly from feeling herself gain much more power, and Kotomi perceived herself as the strongest mage in Fiore. She had beaten Lucy, who was struggling just to raise her body off of the ground. Kotomi watched her fiercest opponent slightly raise her head, Lucy's face bleeding and bruised as she tried to keep her eyes open. Kotomi locked eyes with Lucy, the antagonist smiling in a smug manner at how Lucy looked so frustrated.
Lucy started to build up some magical power, realizing that none of Kotomi's spells could seal it away. Kotomi simply walked towards Lucy, remaining smug as the green-haired girl could only make the fuchsia pink aura of Psychic Magic lightly coat her body. Kotomi decided to quickly use the Celestial Radiance spell, and she created a cream gold sphere in her right hand. Kotomi lightly threw it down at Lucy, watching her get engulfed in a massive cream gold blast. The blast's power caused Lucy to scream in pain, and she lightly rolled across the ground.
As she struggled to get up, Kotomi applied Celestial Spirit Magic to her feet and quickly got in front of Lucy. Kotomi started to laugh at Lucy in a somewhat pitying manner, and she struck her with the Celestial Horologium spell. Lucy was instantly hit by the harvest gold beam of celestial energy, before being surrounded by its harvest gold blast, and Lucy felt herself be harmed by the dense light. She coughed up more blood while her body sustained more bruises, and Lucy tried her best to endure this attack.
When the blast's light faded away, Lucy panted heavily as she was now laying on her back. She slowly got up to see Kotomi activate the spell known as Celestial Starry Corona Borealis. Kotomi made a rich gold aura heavily engulf her body while raising her hands high up at the sky, and the aura aggressively went up into the sky after Kotomi put more magical power into this spell. The aura quickly formed a massive rich gold ring of celestial energy, which became light gold right before changing to be celestial gold, and several celestial gold stars emerged from the ring to strike each other.
Upon seeing a high amount of celestial gold glitter come down towards her, Lucy stated in a pained manner while crawling towards Sting and Risa, "Everyone, I... I need... your help."
That prompted Kotomi to tell Lucy with a sadistic grin on her face, "No one can help you now, you weak little bitch!"
Kotomi watched all of the celestial gold glitter land on Lucy, before exploding in several celestial gold blasts that spun outward to also further damage her wounded teammates. Lucy screamed the loudest, however, and she was feeling tremendous amounts of pain from the enormous amounts of power that had been in this attack. Lucy could feel her skin being burnt and charred, along with feeling some of her bleeding wounds get worse. Some of her previous bruises were now bleeding, and Lucy didn't want to die yet.
She had some tears falling from her eyes while thinking about how this long and dangerous quest of obtaining all seven legendary rings made her encounter so many people who were all suffering in different ways, even if they themselves didn't want to admit it. Akai Hinotama may have regained her confidence instead of arrogance, but it would all be for nothing if Kotomi destroyed Cramoisi Town to make everyone's souls be absorbed into her Celestial Spirit Magic. Lucy felt that there was now nothing standing in Kotomi's way from destroying the entire kingdom of Fiore, and Lucy watched Kotomi maliciously fire the Celestial Starry Corona Borealis spell with enough power for it to head towards Tokiwa Town.
Lucy immediately heard the celestial gold blasts occurring, and Kotomi sighed in a slightly happy manner as if she could cause destruction by only slightly weakening her highly destructive spells. She was certainly now torturing Lucy's emotions, though. Lucy watched several celestial gold auras fly into Kotomi's body, powering her up even more, and the blonde-haired girl let her body become bathed in a deep gold sphere of light. The sphere ended up bursting upward, turning the sky celestial gold, right before it became deep gold in the moments preceding its shift to being sunglow gold.
"Lucy Heartfilia, you can surely breathe enough through the pain to beg for mercy. Your crying face reminds me of when I broke your ribs, but let's make you cry much more." Kotomi stated to Lucy in a tone of voice that evilly feigned a sense of compassion, before speaking in a vicious tone with an arrogant smile on her face.
Lucy responded in a pained manner, letting blood drip to the ground as she shakily forced herself to stand up, "I won't... let you... take more.. people's lives. Everyone.. who was... harmed by this long mess... will be... brought back... to life."
"You can't stop me! My Celestial Spirit Magic will tear you apart, and I'll gladly live out the rest of your original life as a powerful queen with all of my gold rings that give me so much celestial power!" Kotomi evilly responded, before lightly closing her eyes and confidently smirking.
Kotomi shouted fiercely, feeling like she needed to end this fight, "Celestial Supernova's Golden Radiant Starfall!"
Kotomi created a celestial gold sphere in her right hand, before shifted to being rich gold, champagne gold, and light gold. The light gold sphere was aggressively thrown high into the air, before Kotomi unleashed the Celestial Supernova Starfall spell. Having the original gold ring of Celestial Spirit Magic on her hand permitted Kotomi to bypass the spell's tedious requirements that needed certain spells to be used beforehand in a specific order, and having so much magical power allowed Kotomi to make several light gold stars appear around her body in the form of a circle.
Some of the light gold stars became sunglow gold while a different portion of them became Aspen gold, and another portion of stars became dandelion gold. Those dandelion gold stars were followed by the fourth portion of stars being shimmer gold, and the fifth section of stars became champagne gold. The champagne gold stars were followed by the sixth group of stars being rich gold, and the seventh portion of stars became celestial gold. All of the stars ascended high into the air, surrounding the orb that violently exploded in a massive burst of light.
This caused all of the stars to absorb its light, prompting them all to glow much brighter as they fired beams of celestial energy up at a much higher altitude. All of those beams quickly came back down while gaining speed and power on their descent, and passing through the burst of golden light made them glow with intense levels of golden brightness. They already glowed with a golden brilliance, but now Lucy had to shut her eyes. She could only feel all of the beams come down on her while they created massive blasts that were in seven different hues of gold, and Lucy felt the explosive beams of light damaging her body.
Upon feeling herself be fatally wounded in several places as the blasts of light tore through her Psychic Magic's aura, Lucy tearfully stated in her thoughts, "I... I have no strategy. I... have.. nothing.. left. I'm going.. to die... now. Everyone, I... can't... win. She's... too... strong."
As Lucy struggled to even weakly be on her knees during her last minutes of life, the hues of golden light were now making celestial energy fill up the grey clouds. These clouds cycled through the different hues of gold, but the instance of the clouds turning saffron cloud caused saffron gold lightning to suddenly come down on the Saffron Gold Ring. This caused several beams of yellow light to start shining from the ring, their light reacting to Kotomi's spell as if she used a saffron gold attack pertinent to Lightning Magic.
The impact of the lightning against the ground was followed by several chunks of the crumbling earth breaking apart while pieces of them struck the Sherbet Ring, causing it to glow with orange beams of light shining from it. Lucy's hair and eyes went from briefly shifting through shades of yellow to changing through varying shades of the color orange, but several of the flames that resulted from the lightning setting ashes ablaze ended up making contact with the Crimson Ring. That ring began to have many red beams of light emanating from it, before Lucy's eyes and hair cycled through different shades of red.
She glanced at some of the nearby fire that was becoming a plain shade of red during her last seconds of life, and Lucy lightly fell backwards. She lightly rolled over on to her left side, being near Sting as her body was motionless. Even though Lucy's body was not moving, she had enough consciousness in her mind to see herself suddenly get engulfed into a white void. Lucy simply perceived herself as whiting out to become a spirit, believing that she was going to die. As Lucy found herself in this white void of her mind, she slowly opened her eyes to see all her teammates happily smiling down at her.
How was Chapter 74? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. Lucy is finally battling against Kotomi in this fight to get her body back, but Kotomi is not letting Lucy shift the flow of the battle in her favor! On top of that, Lucy is now about to die! Although, the rings may not allow her to experience such a tragic ending! By the way, this is the first chapter of the Final Arc! I'll update soon. :)
