The next day Kurt is happy when he finally can go home. He spend the morning doing all kind of tests and just finished packing his bag when his father comes in. He carries his sons bag so Kurt can concentrate on the crutches. It looks easy in movies but isn't in real life. Slowly but surely they make their way to the car on a pick up parking lot directly at the front of the parking lot.

At home he eats lunch and goes up to his room. Burt had to go back to work but Carol is home if Kurt needs anything. On the other hand Kurt isn't a child anymore so he can help himself pretty well even with the crutches. Tomorrow is Friday and after the weekend Kurt goes back to school. That way he can recover a bit more from the surgery before he has to go back to his everyday life.

As long as he is at home Finn brings him his homework. On his desk is already the stuff he missed yesterday so Kurt decides to sit down and finish that with some coffee and chocolate. But the painkiller still makes him tired so after he's done the boy rewards himself with laying down a bit. When school is out Blaine immediatly goes with Finn. Pam said that she'll pick him up after dinner. Once at the Hudson-Hummel house the boys take off their shoes and put their bags down.

"Hey boys if you want to eat lunch there are some sandwiches in the fridge. Blaine, Kurt is in his room. Finn, give him his school stuff later. He should take a little break and can still do it later today" Carol greets "Dinner is on the stove for later so you just need to warm it up later". "You're off to work again?" Finn asks his mother who shakes his head "I meet with Samantha for a coffee but after that I'm going straight to work". She takes her bag and hugs both boys quickly "Hug Kurt form me too".

Finn hungrily goes straight to the kitchen while Blaine first goes up to Kurts room. He knocks at the door and comes in, finding Kurt asleep in his bed. Blaine smiles at him and goes to him. "Kurt? Darling wake up". "Hm?" Kurt mumbles and tiredly opens his eyes. When he looks into Blaines hazel eyes he smiles and sits up "Hey. How was school?". "It was okay. I missed you tho" the curly haired boy answers and leans in for a kiss.

"I missed you too" Kurt answers after the kiss "I thought maybe tomorrow after school you could stay over? It's the weekend" Kurt proposes and his boyfriend smiles "I'd like that". "Should we do our homework together" Kurt then asks but Blaine shakes his head "Carol said you shoud take a break because of the pain killer". "Well. I just did, didn't I?" the older boy answers and Blaine nods "True. Okay I go down to Finn and get your stuff and something to snack and drink". He kisses Kurt again and then leaves.

Over the afternoon Kurt and Blaine do their homework together and help each other where they can. After that they watch some Disney Channel until it's time for dinner. After dinner Blaine has to go home but as soon as he gets there he will ask his mom if he can stay over at Kurts tomorrow and text Kurt later. Kurt stays up a bit longer, waiting for Blaines text, reading and listening to music but ends up falling asleep with the book in his hand.

Of course Pam allows his son to stay over at Kurts so on Friday after lunch Blaine helps Kurt to catch up on school work before they get comfortable in bed to watch a movie and cuddle. After dinner they go back upstairs agai, change into their pyjamas and talk about everything and nothing before falling asleep on Kurts bed.

In the middle of the night Blaine feels Kurt shift in his arms. Tiredly and still half asleep he opens his eyes. Kurt is awake and tries not to wake his boyfriend when he carefully pushes his arm away. "What are you doing?" the curly haired boy asks. "Go back to sleep. I just have to take something for the pain so I can get back to sleep too" the other boy answers. He takes one of the pills out of the package before he sees "Damn my glass is empty". Before he can sit up and take his crutches Blaine next to him jumps up "I get you a refill". He kisses Kurt on the forehead, takes the glass and quietly goes down.

A minute later he comes back and puts the glass and a full bottle, just in case, on the sidetable. Quickly Kurt takes the painkiller before he sighs and lays back down in his boyfriends waiting arms. "Thank you" he whispers and Blaine answers "No problem. You're feeling better darling?". "I will when the effect sets in. You can go back to sleep honey" Kurt answers but of course the other boy shakes his head "I'll wait with you". "I love you" Kurt whispers with a smile, turning his head to Blaine. "I love you too" Blaine answers and kisses his boyfriend again.

Kurt is glad when his ankle is better again. He hates this pain, he did when it was his wrist in middle school. Sure it's healing but it takes time to get better again. It's just so annoying to wake up and feel pain, waiting for it to go away again before falling back asleep. That's why Carol insisted he stays home until at least the weekend is over. He can try after but shouldn't push himself.

Blaine waits with Kurt until the pain starts to vanish, stroking up and down his arm and feeling the scar Kurt has close to his wrist from his last accident in gym class. When he looks at Kurt again ten minutes later Kurt is already back asleep so Blaine smiles and kisses his shoulder before he also goes back to sleep.

On Monday Kurt is back in school. His friends help him with carrying his stuff and either Burt, Carol, Pam or Angela picks them up from school so they don't have to take the bus. Kurt is glad to be back because that way he doesn't have to do his school work in the afternoon when Blaine is there and they are done with school and be bored in the morning when no one is at home and he doesn't really has something to do. The thing that annoys Kurt most tho now that he's back is that he can sing with his friends in glee but not dance with them. He just sits there with his leg resting on an extra chair.

With a lot of practice and even more physical therapy Kurts leg gets better and better. Soon enough he can dance again with the New Directions. The had to improvise a little for Sectionals because normally Kurt is one of the front row dancers but they made it. For Regionals Kurt stands in the second row, dancing visibly but not the full choreography yet. Still he can dance again with his friends, almost back to his strength. He still has physical therapy to make a full recovery but about two weeks after Valentines day he's back to normal again.

On valentines day Blaine takes Kurt to a little pavillon in a little park. It's not that sindy there and cuddled in blankets and with a hot chocolate it was really enjoyable. Quiet, peaceful and like they are in their own little bubble. Of course Blaine brought some music too so he and Kurt could sing.

Going out tonight, changes into something red

Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress

Everything she never had, she's showing off

Driving too fast, moon is breaking through her hair

She's headin' for something that she won't forget

Having no regrets is all that she really wants

We're only getting older, baby

And I've been thinking about it lately

Does it ever drive you crazy

Just how fast the night changes?

Everything that you've ever dreamed of

Disappearing when you wake up

But there's nothing to be afraid of

Even when the night changes

It will never change me and you

Chasing her tonight, doubts are running 'round her head

He's waiting, hides behind a cigarette

Heart is beating loud and she doesn't want it to stop

Moving too fast, moon is lighting up her skin

She's falling, doesn't even know it yet

Having no regrets is all that she really wants

We're only getting older, baby

And I've been thinking about it lately

Does it ever drive you crazy

Just how fast the night changes?

Everything that you've ever dreamed of

Disappearing when you wake up

But there's nothing to be afraid of

Even when the night changes

It will never change me and you

Going out tonight, changes into something red

Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress

Reminds her of the missing piece of innocence she lost

We're only getting older, baby

And I've been thinking about it lately

Does it ever drive you crazy

Just how fast the night changes?

Everything that you've ever dreamed of

Disappearing when you wake up

But there's nothing to be afraid of

Even when the night changes

It will never change, baby

It will never change, baby

It will never change me and you
