In the dimly lit room of Destinea Cathedral, Mauvier stood near the door, his gaze fixed on the slumbering form of Evil Veyle. With a heavy sigh, he closed his eyes, allowing his mind to drift back to the events that unfolded the previous night.

The memory of his battle against the Hero version of Emblem Sigurd, summoned by Kiran Pathfinder, played vividly in Mauvier's mind. As he clashed with Sigurd, his attention briefly shifted, and he caught a glimpse of Veyle darting toward the direction in which the Divine One and Kiran were retreating. It was a momentary distraction, but it left an indelible mark on Mauvier's memory.

Soon after, a flash of blinding light erupted from the same direction, catching the attention of Mauvier and the rest of the Four Hounds. Then, Sigurd suddenly stopped clashing blades with him and withdrew. It was a clear indication that something of great significance had occurred involving Veyle. The mystery of what had transpired lingered in the air, fueling Mauvier's curiosity.

In the present, as Mauvier slowly creaked the door open, allowing a sliver of light to penetrate the room, he stole a glance at the peaceful figure of Evil Veyle, lost in dreams. A mixture of concern and intrigue washed over him as he muttered to himself, pondering the truth behind the battle and its aftermath.

"Something isn't right with Lady Veyle. What happened out there?" Mauvier whispered, his voice filled with uncertainty.

The events of that fateful encounter remained shrouded in shadows, leaving him yearning for answers. To Mauvier, Lady Veyle has been acting strange ever since she fought against the Divine One and Kiran last night. Mauvier knew that Kiran Pathfinder, the enigmatic Summoner, held the key to unlocking the truth.

"Kiran Pathfinder," Mauvier muttered as he was lost in his thoughts. "What happened in the battle between him and Lady Veyle?"

As Mauvier closed the door leading to Evil Veyle's room, the pieces of the puzzle were scattered, waiting to be assembled, and he was determined to find the missing ones.

Chapter 17: A Gentle Dragon's Mythic Hero Battle!

As the morning sunlight filtered through the windows of Somniel, Kiran stirred from his slumber and rose from his bed. After taking a refreshing bath and dressing himself, he took a moment to collect his thoughts. Today was the day he had set his sights on completing Veyle's summoning process, a task that carried immense weight.

"Huh... I slept like a baby," Kiran remarked as he stretched his arms. "Hmm... Today's the day I have to complete Veyle's summoning process, and I need help in doing that."

Just as Kiran stepped out of his bedroom, he was greeted by Baldraz, who had a mischievous glint in his eyes. "As much as you're eager to complete Veyle's summoning process, how about you eat breakfast at Café Terrace first?" Baldraz suggested, his voice filled with anticipation. The prospect of a hearty meal before their important endeavor seemed like a perfect way to start the day.

Kiran smiled, his agreement evident. "Sounds like a plan," he replied, his voice tinged with enthusiasm. The thought of savoring a delicious meal energized him, providing the fuel he needed for the awaited challenges.

However, before they set off, Kiran turned to Baldraz, his curiosity piqued. "Oh... By the way, Baldraz, are you ready for your identity to be revealed to Alear and the others?" he inquired, his voice filled with genuine concern. The revelation of Baldraz's true self was a matter that needed careful consideration.

"What made you think of that question, Kiran?" Baldraz inquired, curious as to where Kiran's question would lead to.

"Baldraz, it's just that it may be unavoidable for you to reveal your identity," Kiran explained. "Alear and the others can be trusted, especially since all of them are Heroes summoned and contracted under me."

Baldraz pondered for a moment, his gaze drifting into the distance. "Hmm... Revealing my identity will happen sooner or later. I am prepared for it," he mused, his voice carrying a hint of introspection. The time for secrets to be brought into the light was drawing near.

Kiran nodded, his resolve unwavering. "That's good enough for me," he affirmed, his voice filled with acceptance. He trusted that Alear and the rest of their group would uncover Baldraz's true nature in due time. The bond they shared was strong, allowing them to see beyond the surface and recognize the truth that lay within.

With their conversation concluded, Kiran left his bedroom, ready to embark on a well-deserved breakfast at Café Terrace. As he made his way down the corridors of Somniel, the anticipation of the day's tasks fueled his steps. The promise of a satisfying meal and the company of his comrades awaited him, providing the sustenance he needed for the journey that lay ahead.

After a while, Alear emerged from her bedroom, feeling refreshed from a shower and dressed for the day ahead. Making her way to Café Terrace, she was greeted by the delightful sight of her mother, Lumera, sharing a table with Kiran, Fjorm, and Male Alear. The table was adorned with a spread of delectable foods and drinks, enticing her senses.

Alear couldn't hide her surprise as she approached the group. "Mother, I thought you had returned to the Kingdom of Askr," she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine curiosity. The unexpected presence of Lumera in Elyos intrigued her.

Lumera smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting a deep fondness for her daughter. "My child, I insisted on being summoned back to Elyos," she explained, her voice carrying a hint of determination. Lumera wanted to be present not only for Alear herself but also for her male counterpart, who shared a connection to her past.

Kiran nodded, affirming Lumera's words. "That's true," he added, his voice filled with agreement. "I can sense her thoughts through the Breidablik, and Lumera made it clear that she insisted on being summoned back to Elyos, knowing the importance of this moment for both versions of you," he explained further, acknowledging the significance of their meeting.

Male Alear, his smile bright and inviting, gestured for Alear to join them. "Come, sit with us and have breakfast," he invited, his voice laced with warmth. The camaraderie between them was palpable, and he wanted Alear to be a part of the shared meal.

Alear's surprise slowly transformed into a smile as she took her place at the table. She felt a sense of belonging, surrounded by her mother, Kiran, Fjorm, and Male Alear. The breakfast spread before them served as nourishment for their bodies and a symbol of their unity and shared purpose.

Then, Vander approached the table at Café Terrace with a tray of drinks in his hands, his eyes widened in surprise upon seeing Lumera. The shock nearly caused him to spill the drinks, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Q-Queen Lumera?!" Vander exclaimed as he placed the drinks on that table. "Is that you?"

"Oh, Vander... You look at me like you've seen a ghost," Lumera remarked with a playful smile, noticing Vander's startled reaction. The revelation of her presence seemed to have caught him off guard.

Vander, his voice filled with regret, spoke to Lumera with a tinge of sadness. "Queen Lumera, it's been weeks since you passed on. I didn't expect you to be summoned as a Hero," he lamented, his words tinged with a hint of longing. He couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at having missed the opportunity to meet her again the previous night. The realization that Queen Lumera had been summoned as a Hero was unexpected, to say the least.

Lumera's voice was gentle as she responded to Vander's words. "It's alright, Vander. Addressing me as Lumera is fine because, after my death, I am no longer the Queen of Lythos," she reassured him, her tone carrying a soothing warmth. "As my mortal life has only recently come to an end, the boundaries between realms can be fluid, allowing for Kiran to summon me as a Hero."

"Remember, Vander," Alear interjected as she sipped her coffee. "Kiran has the power to summon Heroes from any point between life and death. That includes Heroes who are explicitly summoned after their death, like Mother here."

"Vander, if you wish to thank someone, please thank Kiran," Lumera said, gesturing to Kiran who was drinking the coffee that Vander served at the table. "Kiran Pathfinder managed to fulfill my rather... selfish request to be summoned as a Hero after I passed on."

Vander, filled with gratitude, bowed respectfully to Kiran. "In that case, I thank you, Kiran, for summoning Queen... no, Lady Lumera once again in Elyos," he expressed sincerely, his voice filled with appreciation. The opportunity to reunite with Lumera, even if in a different form, brought him a sense of solace.

Kiran nodded, acknowledging Vander's gratitude. "You're welcome, Vander. At that time, I wanted to fulfill Lumera's last request to be summoned as a Hero," he confirmed, his voice carrying a note of fulfillment. The bond between Kiran and Lumera transcended the boundaries of the mortal world, allowing him to grant her final wish.

As Vander acknowledged Kiran's reply with a nod and moved to attend to other tables, Kiran turned his attention to Male Alear, his curiosity piqued.

"Male Alear, is your Elyos similar to her Elyos?" Kiran asked, his voice filled with genuine interest. The parallel existence of their counterparts intrigued him.

Male Alear hesitated for a moment, his gaze drifting as he searched for the right words. "I... I'm not entirely sure," he admitted, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "Upon being summoned here, I think I lost some of my memories. That's why I had Clanne and Framme accompany me around Somniel last night," he confessed, the weight of the missing pieces evident in his words.

Baldraz, ever the analytical mind, interjected with a theory. "It's plausible that the clash of light and dark energies from the Breidablik and Evil Veyle might have muddled Male Alear's memories," he suggested, his voice laced with curiosity and concern. The complex nature of their summonings held many mysteries yet to be unraveled.

Upon hearing Baldraz's theory, Kiran's expression softened with regret. "Male Alear, I apologize for summoning you in such a state," he expressed sincerely, his voice carrying a touch of remorse. The unintended consequences of their summonings weighed heavily on his conscience.

Male Alear shook his head, a determined glint in his eyes. "Losing some of my memories is a small price to pay," he asserted, his voice filled with conviction. "I chose to be summoned here to protect you and my counterpart and to aid you both in your journeys," he added, emphasizing his commitment to their cause. The sacrifice of memories was insignificant compared to the bond they shared and the purpose that bound them together.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, Kiran," Alear said as she smiled at Kiran. "If I were in my male counterpart's place, I would've done the same without hesitation to protect you from Evil Veyle."

"Thank you, both of you," Kiran said as he sighed in relief. "At least I can get that out of my chest."

Fjorm's voice cut through the conversation, her words carrying a sense of urgency. "Today is the day we need to complete Veyle's summoning process," she reminded Kiran and the others, her tone filled with determination. The task at hand demanded their full attention.

Kiran nodded, grateful for the reminder. "Thank you, Fjorm," he acknowledged, his voice filled with appreciation. "I was just getting into that mindset," he added, affirming his readiness to tackle the important task that awaited them.

"I still remember that event vividly in my mind," Alear replied as she nodded, indicating her agreement, her mind still replaying the events of the previous night. "Kiran, you fired the Golden Summoning Orb to purge Veyle of the evil influence that was controlling her, and that evil influence possessed the black jewel Veyle was carrying, which became Evil Veyle soon afterward." The memory was etched into her mind, a testament to the challenges they had faced.

Kiran, his voice tinged with a hint of surprise, responded to Alear's recollection. "That's correct," he affirmed, his words carrying a touch of contemplation. "I didn't expect Veyle to be carrying a black jewel with her at that time," he admitted, reflecting on the unexpected twist in their encounter.

Fjorm's curiosity got the better of her as she interjected with a question. "Isn't Ebony of the Curse Directive the one who uses black jewels?" she inquired, her voice filled with curiosity. The mention of black jewels reminded her of the enigmatic figure they had encountered in their previous battles.

Kiran nodded, confirming Fjorm's observation. "Indeed," he replied, his voice carrying a note of realization. "Veyle must have picked up one of the black jewels in one of the areas where we fought Ebony," he concluded, piecing together the puzzle. The connection between Veyle and Ebony became clearer, shedding light on the source of the black jewel that had influenced her.

Concern etched Male Alear's face as he voiced his worries to the group. "I'm concerned that Veyle may also suffer from amnesia like I did," he admitted, his voice filled with genuine worry. The incompleteness of her summoning process raised concerns about the potential consequences.

Kiran's gaze shifted to Male Alear, his expression thoughtful. "If you lost some of your memories upon being summoned, there's a chance the same may happen to Veyle. After all, I did shoot her with a Golden Summoning Orb," he acknowledged, his words laced with understanding. The parallels between their summonings couldn't be ignored, and the potential risks were apparent.

Lumera, her voice filled with compassion, chimed in, offering her perspective. "Everyone makes mistakes, Kiran," she gently reminded him, her voice carrying a soothing warmth. "Today presents us with an opportunity to rectify some of those mistakes by completing Veyle's summoning," she suggested, emphasizing the importance of the task at hand.

A smile tugged at Kiran's lips as he absorbed Lumera's words and the support of their companions. "Thank you, everyone, for your encouragement," he expressed sincerely, his voice filled with gratitude. The collective strength and belief in their shared mission bolstered his resolve.

Determined, Kiran proposed a plan. "Let's finish our breakfast, and then we can all go to Veyle's room together to complete her summoning," he suggested, his voice carrying a note of determination. The idea was met with unanimous agreement from everyone at the table, their commitment to Veyle's well-being evident.

At that moment, a sense of unity permeated the air, their shared purpose binding them together. As they savored the remainder of their meal, their thoughts turned toward the imminent completion of Veyle's summoning process. They were poised to rectify the mistakes of the past and pave the way for a brighter future, their resolve unyielding and their hearts filled with hope.

An hour had passed since they finished their breakfast, and Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, Male Alear, and Lumera made their way towards Veyle's room. Alear turned to Kiran, her voice filled with determination. "Are you ready to complete Veyle's summoning?" she asked, her gaze fixed on him, seeking reassurance.

Kiran twirled the Breidablik in his hand, a confident smile on his lips. "After eating breakfast and discussing our plans, I feel confident that as a group, we can complete Veyle's summoning," he replied, his voice oozing with determination. The nourishment of a hearty meal had invigorated the group's spirits, fueling their confidence in the task that lay ahead.

Lumera let out a soft chuckle, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Indeed, such a hearty breakfast has undoubtedly motivated us all to do what must be done," she remarked, her voice lighthearted yet filled with conviction. The simple act of sharing a meal strengthened their bond and their resolve.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask you this during breakfast," Alear asked her male counterpart. "What can you remember back in your Elyos?"

"While I can remember some details, like with Lumera dying during that fateful night at Lythos Castle," Male Alear explained as he scratched his head. "The rest of my memories are a bit fuzzy... Sorry, Alear."

"It's okay," Alear replied as she somberly smiled at her male counterpart. "But, I admit that our backgrounds are quite similar, despite us being of different genders and different versions of Elyos."

Meanwhile, Lumera looked at Male Alear with a bit of curiosity, having heard of her alternate self back at his Elyos.

"I see..." Lumera said to Male Alear, then he glanced back at Kiran. "It seems that that version of myself also died in your world."

"It's alright," Male Alear replied to Lumera. "I've made peace about it sometime before I was summoned here. And who knows? Maybe Kiran can summon the version of my Mother as a Hero, like with you."

"I certainly hope so, my child," Lumera let out a chuckle as she replied to Male Alear. "Should Kiran be able to summon that version of me from your Elyos, I think I'll have a long talk with myself."

As the group approached Veyle's room, they were taken aback by the unexpected sight that greeted them upon entering. Alfred, Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, and Ivy were already inside the room, surprising the group. The room was abuzz with anticipation, the air thick with a mix of curiosity and excitement.

The unexpected gathering of allies brought a sense of unity to the room. Kiran's gaze swept across the familiar faces, a smile adorning his lips. "It seems we are not alone in our mission," he mused, his voice filled with gratitude. The presence of their comrades-in-arms only strengthened their resolve and served as a reminder that they were not alone in their struggles.

As the group settled in, their determination grew stronger. Veyle's summoning awaited them, and with the support of their allies, they were ready to complete the process and welcome Veyle as a true Hero. The room hummed with anticipation, the moment of truth drawing near, as they prepared to embark on a journey that would shape their destinies.

Alear's curiosity got the better of her as she turned to Alfred, Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, and Ivy, her voice filled with genuine surprise. "Why are all of you here in Veyle's room?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room, seeking an answer to their unexpected presence.

Kiran, too, shared Alear's surprise. He turned to Alfred, his voice laced with curiosity. "I didn't expect you all to arrive at Veyle's room before us," he remarked, his eyebrows raised in astonishment. The timing of their arrival had caught him off guard.

Alfred, a knowing smile on his face, responded to Kiran's query. "Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, Ivy, and I overheard your entire conversation during breakfast," he explained, his voice carrying a sense of amusement. The group's presence was no accident; they had been privy to the discussion that had taken place earlier.

Alear let out a sheepish grin, her cheeks tinged with a hint of embarrassment. "I suppose our breakfast conversation wasn't as private as we thought," she admitted, her voice filled with amusement and chagrin. The unintentional eavesdropping had made her feel slightly exposed.

Celine, her voice filled with sincerity, chimed in, explaining their presence. "In case something goes awry, we wanted to be here to help out," she stated, her eyes meeting Kiran's with determination. The presence of their allies served as a reminder that they were not alone in their endeavors, providing a sense of reassurance.

Diamant, his voice filled with determination, spoke up, taking responsibility for their presence in Veyle's room. "It was our idea to come here and offer our support," he proclaimed, his eyes meeting Kiran's with unwavering resolve. The group's united front showcased their commitment to their cause.

Alcryst, his voice tinged with sincerity, expressed his unwavering dedication. "I want to help you, Kiran, and the Divine One in any way I can," he declared, his words carrying a deep sense of loyalty. Their bond ran deep, and he was prepared to lend strength to their shared mission.

Ivy, her voice filled with conviction, addressed Alear and Kiran directly. "As a group, we are all in this together," she emphasized, her gaze shifting between the two. The unity they shared was their greatest strength, and they would face the challenges ahead as a united front.

Suddenly, Emblem Lyn and Emblem Lucina manifested from their Emblem Rings, which Alear had in her possession. The presence of the Emblems added an air of intrigue to the room. Emblem Lucina spoke, her voice calm yet filled with curiosity. "We'll observe your endeavors within our Emblem Rings," she stated, her eyes fixated on Kiran. "Kiran Pathfinder, I'm interested to see what you will do," she added, her tone laced with anticipation.

Emblem Lyn, her voice carrying an authoritative tone, echoed Lucina's sentiment. "While I agree with Emblem Lucina, I must emphasize that whatever you are about to do to Veyle, you both must succeed," she stressed, her eyes locked with Alear and Kiran's. The importance of the task at hand could not be understated, and their success was crucial.

Alear, her voice determined, responded to Emblem Lyn's words. "We will do our best," she promised, her voice filled with conviction. The weight of the responsibility they carried was not lost on her, and she was prepared to give it her all.

The room fell into a momentary hush as Kiran's grip on the Breidablik tightened, the air thick with anticipation. Baldraz, the spirit within the sacred relic, spoke, his ethereal voice resonating in Kiran's mind.

"Kiran," Baldraz urged, with his voice resonating from the Breidablik. "It is time for you to introduce me to everyone present."

As Baldraz spoke, Kiran's grip on the Breidablik tightened, his anticipation growing. He nodded in response, acknowledging Baldraz's words. "It's time for me to introduce someone to all of you," Kiran announced, his voice filled with a mix of excitement and intrigue. The room's attention shifted towards Kiran, their curiosity piqued.

With a determined expression, Kiran pulled the trigger on the Breidablik, activating its powers. The artifact projected an ethereal image of an old man, dressed in attire similar to Kiran's. The resemblance between them was striking, capturing the attention of everyone in the room.

Kiran took a step forward, his voice resonating with a sense of pride as he introduced the old man. "Allow me to introduce Baldraz," he declared, his voice carrying a note of reverence. "He is the spirit currently inhabiting the Breidablik," he explained, his words laced with awe. The significance of Baldraz's presence within the artifact was not lost on Kiran.

Baldraz, his presence emanating wisdom and power, addressed the room. "It is a pleasure to formally meet all of you," he greeted, his voice commanding yet welcoming. The weight of his centuries-long existence added an air of reverence to his words.

Alfred, his eyes narrowing in observation, couldn't help but remark on the uncanny similarity between Kiran and Baldraz. "The resemblance is striking," he noted, his voice filled with curiosity. The connection between the two figures was undeniable, stirring up intrigue within the room.

Celine, her voice filled with agreement, chimed in. "Indeed, the similarities are uncanny," she concurred, her eyes shifting between Kiran and Baldraz. The shared features and aura between them were undeniable, leaving the room buzzing with a sense of wonder and curiosity.

Alear, her voice brimming with determination, directed her question toward Baldraz. "What must Kiran and I do to complete Veyle's summoning?" she inquired, her eyes fixed on the spirit within the Breidablik. The urgency of their mission hung heavy in the air, their focus solely on ensuring Veyle's proper induction as a Hero.

Baldraz's voice steady and filled with wisdom explained the path they must tread. "To complete Veyle's summoning and heal her mind, you must delve into her consciousness," he revealed, his words carrying a weight of responsibility. The gravity of their task became apparent, as the need to navigate Veyle's innermost thoughts and memories became their focal point.

As the implications of Baldraz's words settled among the group, murmurs of possibility rippled through the room. Celine, her voice filled with curiosity, voiced a question that lingered in the minds of many. "Is it even possible to venture into someone's mind?" she asked, her eyes searching for clarity amidst the uncertainty.

Kiran, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes, responded confidently. "If the Breidablik is capable of opening portals across worlds," he began, his voice filled with conviction, "Then, it's possible that it can be used to open a portal to a person's consciousness," he explained, connecting the dots with a sense of certainty. The mysterious powers of the artifact held untapped potential, and the prospect of accessing Veyle's mind seemed within their reach.

Baldraz's gaze shifted towards Veyle, her sleeping form nestled on the bed, as he spoke to Kiran. "To open the portal to a person's consciousness, we will need the assistance of the four alfar," he explained, his voice filled with certainty. The path towards healing Veyle's mind required their combined efforts.

Alear's eyes widened in realization as she connected the dots. "You mean Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria," she exclaimed, her voice filled with understanding. "I remember the four alfar when Lythos Castle was attacked." The mention of the alfar, the ethereal beings known for their connection to dreams and emotions, brought hope to the room.

Kiran, his grip on the Breidablik tightening, nodded in agreement. "Right. I will summon them right away," he declared, his voice unwavering. The weight of their task pressed upon his shoulders, but he was ready to call upon the aid of the alfar.

With a swift motion, Kiran raised the Breidablik and fired four orbs into the ceiling. His voice resonated through the room as he chanted the summoning incantation. "Hero Summon! I call forth Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria!" he proclaimed, his words carrying the weight of his resolve.

In an instant, the four alfar, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, manifested within Veyle's room. Their presence radiated with otherworldly grace, their ethereal forms captivating the attention of everyone present.

Peony, her voice gentle yet filled with determination, spoke on behalf of the alfar. "I am Peony, the Ljosalfr of Sweet Dreams. We are ready to assist you, Kiran, and Alear, in any way we can," she offered, her words reassuring.

Mirabilis nodded, her voice soft and soothing as she yawned after being summoned. "Fear not, Summoner... I'm Mirabilis, the Ljosalfr of Daydreams. We have arrived, as you... requested, Kiran."

Triandra's eyes gleamed with determination. "I am Triandra, the Dokkalfr of Nightmares, and I shall offer my nightmares in service to Kiran."

Plumeria smirked mischievously. "I am Plumeria, the Dokkalfr of Lewd Dreams summoned under the service of Kiran Pathfinder."

The alfar had answered their call, ready to lend their unique abilities to aid in their mission. While Alear and Alfred were familiar with the four alfar, Male Alear, Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, and even Ivy were unfamiliar with them.

At that moment, the room buzzed with a renewed sense of purpose. The presence of the alfar, their connection to dreams and emotions, added a layer of magic to their endeavor. Kiran, Alear, and their newfound allies stood united, their collective strength and determination bolstered by the support of the alfar.

As the four alfar, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, stood before the group, Alear, and Alfred were already acquainted with their ethereal forms. However, Male Alear, Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, and Ivy were unfamiliar with these mystical beings, their eyes filled with awe and curiosity.

Celine, her gaze fixed upon the alfar, couldn't help but express her wonder. "This is the first time I've laid my eyes on an alfar," she remarked, her voice tinged with amazement. Her eyes roamed over the delicate features and ethereal glow of Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, captivated by their beauty.

Alfred, a knowing smile on his face, chimed in, offering a piece of information to those who were unfamiliar. "Kiran summoned the four alfar when Lythos Castle was first attacked by Sombron's forces," he shared, his voice carrying a note of remembrance. He recalled the pivotal moment when the alfar's aid had been instrumental in their defense.

Alear, her voice soft yet filled with knowledge, added further explanation. "Each of the four alfar embodies a facet of dreams," she explained, her eyes shifting between Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria. The connection between the alfar and the realm of dreams was profound, their essence intertwined with the ethereal realm.

Peony, her smile warm and gentle, affirmed Alear's words. "Alear is correct," she acknowledged, her voice carrying a sense of wisdom. "Each of us represents a facet of dreams and nightmares," she elaborated, her presence exuding a sense of tranquility. The alfar's embodiment of these different aspects of dreams was unmistakable.

Kiran, his gaze steady and determined, turned to Peony, his voice filled with urgency. "Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria... I'm going to need your assistance in opening a portal to Veyle's mind," he requested, his voice carrying a sense of purpose. The weight of their mission pressed upon him, and he knew the alfar's unique abilities would be crucial in navigating Veyle's innermost thoughts.

As the four alfar turned their attention towards Veyle, their expressions shifted, attuned to the disturbance within her dreams. Triandra, her voice laced with concern, spoke of the unsettling nature of Veyle's nightmares. "I sense that Veyle is undergoing a really bad nightmare," she revealed, her words resonating with an air of unease. The darkness that plagued Veyle's dreams was evident, instilling a sense of urgency within the room.

Plumeria, her gaze softening as she observed Veyle's sleeping form, expressed her unease. "Even I can sense Veyle's distress within her nightmares," she admitted, her voice tinged with concern. The depth of Veyle's turmoil unsettled even the alfar, heightening the gravity of their mission.

Peony, her expression somber, looked upon Veyle with a sense of empathy. Her voice, filled with resolve, addressed Kiran directly. "Kiran, fear not. Mirabilis, Triandra, Plumeria, and I will assist you in opening the portal to Veyle's mind," she assured, her words carrying a weight of determination. The alfar understood the importance of their role, and they stood ready to lend their powers to the cause.

Baldraz, his voice filled with guidance, addressed Kiran as the alfar agreed to lend their aid. "Now that the four alfar have agreed to assist us, it is time for you to select the four Heroes who will accompany you inside Veyle's mind," he instructed with his words carrying a note of importance. The selection of the team was a crucial decision that would shape their journey.

Kiran's eyes scanned the room, his mind contemplating the strengths and skills of each potential candidate. After a moment of thoughtful consideration, he spoke, his voice firm with conviction. "Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine... I choose you four to accompany me inside Veyle's mind," he declared, his choices reflecting the qualities he deemed necessary for this endeavor. These four Heroes would be his companions in Veyle's mind.

Male Alear nodded to Kiran as he was chosen to undergo this potentially dangerous task. "Thank you for choosing me, Kiran," he said as he looked at Veyle. "This is likely my first time venturing inside someone's mind."

Alear, her gratitude just as evident as her male counterpart, couldn't help but question Kiran's decision. "Kiran, while I'm grateful that you've chosen me, Kiran, I'm curious as to why Celine was selected," she voiced, her curiosity tinged with a touch of wonder. The reasoning behind Kiran's choice intrigued her.

Celine, her eyes meeting Alear's, explained. "It's likely because my Joyous Tome allows me to regain an ally's health during combat, as long as they are nearby," she explained, her voice carrying a tone of understanding. The healing abilities of her tome would prove invaluable within the confines of Veyle's mind, where battles against inner demons could take a toll on their strength.

Fjorm, her voice calm yet resolute, chimed in, further supporting Celine's selection. "It makes sense," she interjected, her words filled with reason. "Considering that our team composition lacks a dedicated healer, having Celine and her Joyous Tome to support us will be a great advantage," she concluded, acknowledging the importance of a balanced team within such a challenging mission.

Kiran, his gaze focused and determined, turned to Peony, his voice filled with urgency. "Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria... I need your assistance in opening a portal to Veyle's mind," he requested, his tone reflecting the weight of their mission. The alfar's unique abilities held the key to accessing Veyle's innermost thoughts.

Peony, her expression serene, responded with confidence. "Opening a portal to a person's mind is relatively easy, especially when they are sleeping," she explained, her voice carrying a sense of reassurance. The alfar's connection to the Realm of Dreams provided them with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate such delicate matters.

With a steady hand, Kiran aimed his Breidablik towards Veyle's peacefully sleeping form. The four alfar, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, channeled their ethereal energies into the artifact, their powers intertwining with Kiran's intent.

As Kiran pulled the trigger, a beam of energy shot forth from the Breidablik, striking Veyle gently. In that instant, a portal materialized within the confines of the bedroom, its shimmering surface a gateway to Veyle's consciousness.

Awe washed over the room as the portal stood before them, a gateway into the depths of Veyle's mind. Each person present couldn't help but marvel at the profound nature of their task and the incredible power radiating from the portal.

Alear, her voice filled with a mix of anticipation and trepidation, broke the silence. "This may be the first time I have to enter a living person's mind," she remarked, her words carrying a hint of wonder. The magnitude of their journey weighed upon her, but she remained resolute, ready to face the unknown within Veyle's mind.

Peony, her ethereal presence unwavering, spoke with a sense of conviction. "We'll remain here to maintain the portal," she announced, her voice carrying a tone of responsibility as she gestured toward Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria. The task of upholding the connection between their world and Veyle's subconscious fell upon them.

Kiran, grateful for their assistance, turned to Peony, his voice filled with appreciation. "Thank you, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, for your unwavering support today," he expressed his gratitude, his words resonating with sincerity. The alfar's aid was invaluable, and their presence provided a sense of reassurance.

Peony, her expression warm, responded to Kiran's gratitude. "As a Hero contracted under you, Kiran, I am always willing to assist you and your allies," she affirmed, her voice filled with dedication. The bond between Hero and Summoner was unbreakable, and Peony's commitment to their cause was unwavering.

Mirabilis, stifling a yawn, interjected, her voice tinged with weariness. "Please enter the portal quickly," she urged Kiran and his allies, her words carrying a sense of urgency. "Even we alfar have our limits in maintaining it."

As the portal to Veyle's mind began to fluctuate, Kiran looked back to see the three of the four Heroes he had chosen to accompany him talk to everyone else in the room.

"You'd best be careful out there, Celine" Alfred said to Celine. "And make sure you back Kiran up in case he needs help."

"Don't worry, Alfred," Celine replied as she held her Joyous Tome tightly in her hands. "I will do what I must."

"Go ahead, my children," Lumera said to Alear and Male Alear. "Accompany Kiran into Veyle's subconscious, and protect him from any harm."

"Thank you, Mother," Alear replied as she nodded at Lumera. "I'll do what I can to protect Kiran."

"Mother... You may not be the Lumera that I know from my world," Male Alear admitted as he replied to Lumera. "But, thank you for encouraging me and my female counterpart."

Fjorm looked on as the inhabitants of Elyos said words of encouragement to Alear, Male Alear, and Celine. Then, Fjorm turned around to see Kiran, who was sporting a smile on his face.

"Kiran, I think we're ready to accompany you," Fjorm said as she gripped her Leiptr tightly. "Shall we go?"

"Alright," Kiran replied as he readied his Breidablik. "Let's venture inside Veyle's mind."

With a shared understanding, Kiran, Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine stepped toward the portal. Their determination to complete Veyle's summoning process burned brightly within them, their resolve unyielding.

And so, one by one, they entered the portal, their beings enveloped in a swirl of ethereal energy. As they crossed the threshold into Veyle's subconscious, they embarked on a journey that held the promise of healing and restoration. The alfar, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, remained in the bedroom, their presence maintaining the delicate bridge between the worlds.

Together, Kiran and his allies ventured into the unknown, their fate intertwined with Veyle's. The hope of completing the summoning process burned brightly within them, as they pushed forward into the depths of Veyle's subconscious, ready to face the challenges that awaited them.

In the grand hall of the Kingdom of Askr, Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, Veronica, Canas, and Tharja gathered, their expressions serious and determined. The meeting held the weight of urgency as they sought to uncover the mysteries behind the shards of the black gem.

Alfonse, his gaze focused, addressed Canas and Tharja, his voice filled with curiosity. "Canas, Tharja... What have you discovered thus far regarding the shards of the black gem?" he inquired, his words reflecting his eagerness to understand the nature of their findings.

Canas, his scholarly demeanor evident, responded, his voice tinged with excitement. "While the black gem itself has been rendered non-functional due to its shattered state, it continues to pulse with dark energies," he explained, his words carrying a sense of intrigue. The shattered remnants of the gem still held a mysterious power, despite its broken form.

Tharja, her gaze intense and focused, added her insights. "The resonating shards indicate that the Curse Directive is still active," she revealed, her voice carrying a note of caution. Despite the apparent low profile of Ebony and her Curse Directive, the remnants of the black gem hinted at their continued influence.

Veronica, her voice filled with determination, spoke up, her words laced with a sense of resolve. "It's only a matter of time before Ebony and her Curse Directive resurface in future encounters," she stated, her tone reflecting the urgency of the situation. The threat posed by Ebony's dark forces loomed over them, and they knew they had to be prepared for their return.

The atmosphere in the hall grew heavy with the realization that their battle against Ebony and the Curse Directive was far from over. The combined knowledge of Canas, Tharja, and the Askr royal siblings fueled their determination to protect their realms and end the dark forces that threatened their world.

Veronica's curiosity burned brightly as Canas and Tharja bid their farewells and left the castle hall. She turned to Alfonse, her eyes filled with anticipation. "Alfonse, can you tell me more about our encounter with the Fell Dragon Sombron back in Elyos?" she inquired, her voice eager for knowledge.

Alfonse, his expression somber, met Veronica's gaze. "Fell Dragon Sombron is undoubtedly one of the most terrifying dragons the Order of Heroes has ever faced," he responded, his voice carrying a weight of experience. The memories of their encounter with the formidable dragon lingered in his mind, etched with the gravity of the battle they had fought.

Commander Anna, her voice filled with wisdom, interjected, adding her perspective. "Indeed, this isn't the first time we've encountered a Fell Dragon," she remarked, her words resonating with a touch of familiarity. The history of the Order of Heroes was riddled with encounters with these formidable creatures.

Veronica, her memory jogged, furrowed her brow as she tried to recall a specific instance. "I remember Kiran accidentally summoning a Fell Dragon as a Hero," she pondered aloud, her voice filled with faint recollection. "But I can't seem to remember the name of that dragon," she admitted, her frustration evident.

Sharena, eager to contribute her knowledge, chimed in, a smile playing on her lips. "The Fell Dragon you're referring to, Veronica, is none other than the Fell Dragon Grima," she revealed, her voice carrying a sense of certainty. The memory of Kiran summoning the fearsome dragon a few years ago resurfaced in her mind.

As Sharena's words resonated in the hall, Commander Anna's memory sparked, and she spoke up, her voice filled with recollection. "That's right. Kiran summoned at least two versions of Fell Dragon Grima, each inhabiting a different human body," she affirmed, her tone conveying a sense of certainty. The details of their encounters began to piece together in her mind.

Alfonse, his eyes focused, nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Those two bodies are, in reality, the alternate counterparts of Male and Female Robin, possessed by Grima's power," he explained, his voice holding a hint of solemnity. The revelation of the true identities behind the possessed bodies shed new light on the historic battles that the Ylissean Heroes had against Fell Dragon Grima.

"During the same battle, from what I have read from the reports," Veronica said to Alfonse. "Veyle, the daughter of Fell Dragon Sombron, was brainwashed through unknown means, which was why Kiran fired a Golden Summon Orb on Veyle, causing her double to manifest, which is called Evil Veyle. Am I correct on the details?"

"Yes, Commander Anna, Sharena, and I witnessed that event first-hand," Alfonse replied as he gestured towards her. "The real Veyle is with Alear and Kiran at Somniel at the moment."

"You know," Sharena interjected as she winked her eyes. "We're kind of fortunate that Evil Veyle was so fixated on Kiran last right to notice Alear carrying the real Veyle with her."

"I couldn't agree more," Commander Anna replied as she nodded at Veronica. "Most of us tend to focus on certain things during battle that details like that tend to be ignored until it's too late."

Veronica, her voice filled with determination, interjected, her gaze unwavering. "We are fortunate indeed. Thus, the Order of Heroes must be prepared to face not only Fell Dragon Sombron and his minions but also Ebony's Curse Directive," she stated, her words carrying a sense of urgency. Their challenges were twofold, and they needed to be ready to combat both threats.

Sharena, her optimism shining through, responded with unwavering confidence. "No matter the odds, Kiran and the Order of Heroes will prevail," she declared, her voice brimming with determination. The belief in their collective strength and unwavering spirit fueled her optimism.

Alfonse, his expression grave, nodded in agreement with Sharena's words. "I hope you're right, Sharena," he replied, his voice tinged with hope and concern. The weight of their responsibilities and their challenges weighed heavily upon him, but he held onto the glimmer of hope that Sharena's words represented.

In that moment, the group stood united, their resolve strengthened by their shared purpose. The battles against Fell Dragon Sombron and Ebony's Curse Directive loomed on the horizon, but they were ready to face them head-on. With their unwavering determination and the bond of the Order of Heroes, they would strive to overcome any obstacle that stood in their way, holding onto the hope that victory would be theirs in the end.

As the group ventured deeper into Veyle's subconscious, Alear, Male Alear, and Kiran found themselves momentarily separated from the others, surrounded by a dreamy expanse. Kiran, his brow furrowed with concern, broke the silence. "I wonder what happened to Fjorm and Celine," he pondered aloud, his voice filled with curiosity. The absence of their companions was noticeable, and he couldn't help but wonder where they had ended up.

Male Alear, his voice calm and assured, offered reassurance. "I'm certain they're somewhere close by," he replied, his tone carrying a sense of confidence. The bond they shared with their allies ran deep, and he believed in their ability to reunite with Fjorm and Celine.

Suddenly, before their eyes, a memory began to materialize, taking shape within the dreamlike space. Alear, Male Alear, and Kiran watched as the events unfolded, witnessing when Alear and Kiran first encountered Veyle. The memory played out vividly, immersing them in the past.

Alear, her eyes fixed on the unfolding memory, spoke softly, her voice tinged with nostalgia. "These memories... they're from when Kiran and I first met Veyle," she remarked, her words conveying a hint of sentiment. The scenes before them depicted their fateful encounter, which had taken place in Florra Mill Town.

As Alear, Male Alear, and Kiran roamed through the ethereal expanse of Veyle's subconscious, another memory materialized before them. They watched as Veyle, in the memory, picked up a peculiar black jewel near an abandoned village. Kiran's eyes widened with recognition, and he spoke with a mix of surprise and realization.

"The abandoned village... that's where Alear and I first encountered Ebony," Kiran exclaimed, his voice filled with a sense of astonishment. The memory triggered a flood of recollections, connecting the pieces of their past encounters.

Alear, her eyes focused on the unfolding memory, nodded in agreement. "You're right, Kiran. I remember how cruel Ebony was during our initial battle with her," she confirmed, her voice carrying a tinge of bitterness. "I still can't believe she casually killed a bandit just for her sick amusement." The memory served as a stark reminder of the darkness they had faced and the pain they had endured.

Male Alear, his voice contemplative, interjected, sharing his insight. "That may be the reason why Veyle came to possess that black jewel," he suggested, his tone reflecting his analytical nature. The connection between the jewel and Ebony's presence hinted at a deeper connection that they would need to unravel to understand Veyle's plight.

Kiran, his gaze fixed on the memory before them, interjected, his voice filled with a mix of understanding and concern. "And that's how Evil Veyle came to be," he concluded, his words carrying a weight of significance. The manifestation of the black jewel and the transformation of Veyle into her darker persona held the key to understanding the origin of the turmoil that plagued her.

As the trio journeyed further, they saw some memories that were constantly appearing and fading away. But, one particular memory stood out among the rest. As Kiran and the two Alears saw, it was a memory that depicted the events from Veyle's perspective, as she woke up, and the trio was surprised at the certain person who was present in that memory.

"Is that..." Alear gasped as she saw the man from that particular memory. "Isn't that man one of the Four Hounds?"

"Yes, I think his name is Mauvier," Kiran replied as he viewed the memory. "To think that Veyle remembers him is a surprise."

"I agree. It seems that memory is when Veyle first woke up," Male Alear assumed. "Mauvier is likely the first person Veyle has met in this era, having been present during her awakening."

"Hmm, it is plausible," Alear nodded at her male counterpart. "Let's keep going. I'm sure we'll find some answers soon enough."

Just as they contemplated the implications of Veyle's memories being destroyed, a doorway materialized in front of Alear, Male Alear, and Kiran. Without hesitation, they stepped forward, their determination unwavering. They hoped to find the clues they needed to complete Veyle's summoning, to bring her peace and restore balance to her troubled soul.

With each step, they delved deeper into the recesses of Veyle's subconscious, ready to face the challenges and uncover the truths that lay ahead. The journey within the dreamlike space held the promise of redemption and healing, and they would not falter until they accomplished their mission.

As the shimmering portal to Veyle's mind bathed the room in a soft glow, the four alfar, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, conversed with the others present. The air crackled with anticipation and curiosity.

Alfred, his eyes gleaming with excitement, directed his question to Peony, his voice filled with anticipation. "Peony, do you think I'll get to see another version of myself with more muscles?" he asked, a mischievous grin forming on his face. The possibility of encountering an alternate version of himself intrigued him.

Peony, her smile warm and gentle, responded with a hint of excitement. "Since Kiran can summon the same Hero from another world, it's possible," she explained, her voice carrying a sense of wonder. The concept of alternate versions of oneself through summoning held endless possibilities.

Alfred's grin widened, his delight evident as he contemplated the prospect. "I hope I get to meet my alternate self, even if it's just in my dreams," he exclaimed, his voice brimming with anticipation. The thought of encountering a stronger version of himself, even if only in the realm of dreams, brought him joy.

Mirabilis, stifling a yawn, spoke up, her tone gentle and soothing. "Yawn... You'll surely experience those dreams the next time you sleep," she assured Alfred, her words carrying a sense of certainty. The realm of dreams held a vast expanse of possibilities, and she knew that Alfred's desires were likely to come true.

As Peony and Mirabilis concluded their conversation with Alfred, their attention shifted to the shimmering portal that dominated Veyle's bedroom. They inspected it with curiosity and awe, their eyes tracing the intricate patterns of light.

At that moment, Lumera, her voice filled with genuine curiosity, spoke up. "Peony, is it true that you, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria were summoned by Kiran when Lythos Castle was first attacked?" she inquired, her tone tinged with a sense of wonder. The tales of their summoning intrigued her, and she sought confirmation from Peony herself.

Peony, her voice carrying a touch of nostalgia, nodded in response. "Yes, it's true. Kiran summoned all four of us during that time," she confirmed, her words laced with memories of that fateful moment. The summoning had marked the beginning of their journey as allies, united against a common threat.

Lumera, her gratitude evident, expressed her appreciation. "Thank you, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria, for your help in defending Lythos Castle during that critical time," she expressed sincerely, her voice filled with gratitude. The alfar's assistance had been invaluable in protecting their cherished castle.

Mirabilis, her eyelids heavy with weariness, chimed in with a soft yawn. "We were glad to be summoned by Kiran and lend our aid," she replied, her words carrying a sense of contentment. The opportunity to assist and make a difference had brought them fulfillment.

Lumera's smile widened, reflecting the relief and appreciation she felt. "I'm happy that Kiran has arrived here in Elyos, even if his arrival was deemed accidental. It's truly a blessing in disguise," she confessed, her voice brimming with gratitude. The presence of Kiran and their summoned allies held the promise of turning the tide in their favor.

In a separate corner of the room, Diamant and Ivy engaged in a conversation with Triandra and Plumeria. Their voices carried a mix of curiosity and intrigue as they delved into the realm of dreams and nightmares.

Diamant, his expression pensive, posed a thought-provoking question. "Are nightmares just as important as dreams?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine curiosity. The significance of nightmares in the grand tapestry of existence intrigued him.

Triandra, her eyes focused and her voice steady responded with certainty. "Yes, nightmares are just as crucial as dreams," she affirmed, her words conveying wisdom. The duality of dreams and nightmares held a crucial balance, each serving a unique purpose in shaping the experiences of mortals.

Plumeria, her tone thoughtful and contemplative, added her perspective. "If anything, nightmares can serve as powerful motivators for mortals to strive for improvement," she suggested, her voice resonating with empathy. The fear and darkness that nightmares brought could catalyze personal growth and self-improvement.

Ivy, her curiosity piqued, posed a question based on Peony's earlier conversation. "According to Peony, both of you dislike mortals to some degree. Is that true?" she stated, seeking clarification. Her voice carried a hint of curiosity, as she sought to understand the complexities of the alfar's relationship with mortals.

Plumeria, her expression softening, confirmed Peony's words. "Yes. What that petal-soft alfr said is true," she admitted, her tone reflecting a touch of honesty. "But, I only tolerate mortals for Kiran's sake," she added, her dedication to their summoner evident in her voice. Her sentiments echoed a complex mix of emotions towards mortals.

Triandra, her gaze meeting Ivy's, chimed in, her voice tinged with understanding. "Kiran is the one who has restored our faith in mortals," she explained, her words carrying a sense of gratitude. The bond they shared with Kiran had opened their hearts to trust and belief, rekindling their hope in the potential of mortals.

At the same time, as Peony focused her energy, attempting to channel it into the pulsating portal, Alcryst, his voice tinged with hesitation, voiced his curiosity.

"Peony, w-what exactly are you doing with the portal?" Alcryst asked, his tone laced with genuine intrigue. The sight of her manipulating the portal had caught his attention.

Peony, her concentration unbroken, responded without missing a beat. "I'm trying to use the portal as a way to observe Kiran, Alear, and the rest of our allies as they traverse Veyle's mind," she explained, her voice carrying a sense of determination. The portal held the potential to provide a window into their progress, allowing her to offer guidance and support from the outside.

Triandra, her voice calm yet filled with insight, interjected with a suggestion. "Perhaps we can combine the powers of dreams and nightmares to stabilize the portal," she proposed her words hinting at a potential solution. The merging of these opposing forces held the promise of balance and stability.

Peony's smile widened, reflecting her appreciation for Triandra's suggestion. "That's a great idea, Triandra," she acknowledged, her voice filled with enthusiasm. The prospect of harnessing the powers of both dreams and nightmares resonated with her, offering a potential solution to stabilize the portal.

With renewed determination, everyone in the room turned their attention to the portal. The four alfar, guided by Peony's leadership, began to channel their energies, intertwining dreams, and nightmares into a harmonious blend. Their collective efforts surged towards the portal, their intentions clear - to stabilize and strengthen it, allowing for uninterrupted observation of Kiran, Alear, and their allies within Veyle's mind.

As the room filled with vibrant energy, the portal flickered and shimmered with newfound stability. Peony's plan, combined with the collaborative efforts of the alfar, had yielded positive results. Now, they could watch over their companions, offering guidance and support as they navigated the treacherous depths of Veyle's subconscious.

In that moment, unity and determination prevailed, as the collective strength of the alfar propelled them forward. With the portal stabilized, they stood ready to witness the unfolding events within Veyle's mind, their unwavering support guiding their allies toward the path of healing and resolution.

As Kiran, Alear, and Male Alear ventured deeper into the recesses of Veyle's mind, they stumbled upon a strange hall, its architecture seemingly foreign and otherworldly. Alear, her voice filled with curiosity, voiced her concern. "I wonder where Fjorm and Celine are," she pondered, her eyes scanning the surroundings in search of their missing companions.

Just as Alear voiced her thoughts, Kiran turned around, his eyes widening with relief as he spotted Fjorm and Celine emerging from another portal behind them. Fjorm, her voice carrying a hint of apology, explained their absence. "We got a bit turned around when we first arrived, but we managed to find our way back," she admitted, her tone laced with regret. The unfamiliarity of their surroundings had momentarily disoriented them.

Celine, her voice calm and composed, chimed in, her words filled with a sense of relief. "It took us a while, but, fortunately, we've regrouped once again," she stated, her voice carrying a note of gratitude. The reunion with their companions brought a sense of reassurance amidst the labyrinthine depths of Veyle's mind.

Kiran, a smile gracing his face, acknowledged the fortunate turn of events. "Indeed, it's fortunate that we've found each other again, and not a moment too soon," he remarked, his voice tinged with a mixture of relief and determination. The unity of their group was a source of strength in their daunting quest.

Male Alear, his gaze fixed on a figure further down the hallway, directed everyone's attention to a particular person. "Look over there," he said, his voice filled with intrigue. As the group turned their attention, they realized with awe and surprise that the person they were observing was none other than Veyle herself.

"I've been looking for my sibling for a very long time," Veyle wistfully said. "I'd also like to make friends with others, but I'm worried I'll scare them..."

Veyle's words echoed through the hall, carrying a weight that resonated deeply within both Alear and Male Alear. The longing in her voice tugged at their hearts, igniting a sense of empathy and understanding. Alear, compelled by Veyle's vulnerability, took a step forward, her voice filled with compassion.

"It's alright, Veyle. We're all here for you," Alear reassured, her words carrying a soothing tone.

"Yeah," Male Alear added, complimenting his female counterpart. "Veyle, it's going to be alright..."

However, before both Alears could reach Veyle, the atmosphere shifted abruptly. Multiple Fabrications, clad in Embla uniforms, materialized alongside Veyle, their presence interrupting Alear's approach. The sudden appearance of these fabricated beings raised concerns and heightened the tension in the room.

Within the confines of the Breidablik, Baldraz's voice resonated, breaking through the chaos. "Be on your guard. Veyle's emotional turmoil has manifested in the form of a Mythic Hero Battle," he explained, his voice carrying a calm yet authoritative tone. The battle that unfolded before them was a manifestation of Veyle's inner struggles, a representation of her emotional journey.

"It seems we're faced with another trial," Kiran observed, his gaze unwavering. "And a Mythic Hero Battle to boot."

Alear, her voice filled with a mix of recognition and determination, drew a parallel to a past event. "It's like Lumera's Grand Hero Battle," she remarked, her words tinged with a sense of familiarity. The battles they had faced before had often served as trials to overcome, each one holding valuable lessons and revelations.

Male Alear, his voice carrying a note of excitement, chimed in with his observation. "This is my first time participating in a Hero Battle," he shared, his words filled with anticipation. The opportunity to engage in combat against these fabricated foes marked a milestone in his journey alongside his companions.

Celine, her voice reflecting a similar sentiment, added her remark. "It's the same case for me," she admitted, her words conveying a sense of readiness. The prospect of stepping into the battleground, even if it was a manifestation of Veyle's turmoil, held the potential for growth and camaraderie.

Alear tightened her grip on her Libération as she surveyed the enemy units around them. "The enemies around us are formidable," she remarked. "I wonder what's the difference between a Grand Hero Battle and a Mythic Hero Battle?"

Baldraz, his voice calm and composed, responded to Alear's inquiry. "A Mythic Hero Battle is mostly similar to a Grand Hero Battle, but the stakes are much higher since the enemy forces are much stronger and they will have reinforcements bolstering the Mythic Hero," he explained, his words carrying a note of seriousness. The intensity of the upcoming battle weighed heavily on their shoulders, as the outcome held significant consequences.

Alear absorbed his words, her expression reflecting a mixture of determination and apprehension. "I see. So, it's similar, yet different to a Grand Hero Battle, huh... Wait, Veyle has the potential to be a Mythic Hero?" she remarked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Kiran, his Breidablik at the ready, couldn't help but express his astonishment. "Hmm... To think Veyle herself qualifies as a Mythic Hero... This signifies the seriousness of our task," he remarked, his voice filled with a mix of surprise and admiration. The realization that Veyle possessed such extraordinary power added another layer of complexity to their mission.

With a flick of his wrist, Kiran activated the Breidablik, summoning four orbs that materialized before Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine. A sense of anticipation filled the air as Kiran aimed, firing the orbs toward each of them.

Alear, her voice echoing with curiosity, couldn't help but inquire about the items bestowed upon them. "What are these items you've given us?" she asked, her words laced with intrigue. The orbs held a mysterious power, and Alear was eager to understand their purpose.

Kiran, his gaze steady, responded with a sense of clarity. "I've given each of you Sacred Seals. Mystic Boost for Fjorm, Speed Opening for Celine, Darting Breath for Male Alear, and Distant Counter Melee for you, Alear," he explained, his voice carrying a hint of reassurance.

"Mystic Boost, Speed Opening, Darting Breath, and Distant Counter Melee?" Male Alear repeated. "I wonder what can these Sacred Seals do?"

"Let me answer that for you," Baldraz explained within the Breidablik. "Mystic Boost allows its wielder to recover some health after combat, Speed Opening makes the ally with the highest Speed go even faster, Darting Breath grants speed during combat while making it easier to activate special techniques, and Distant Counter Melee allows its user to counterattack ranged foes."

"I see," Celine remarked as she held the Speed Opening Seal in her hands. "And I assume all Heroes can use Sacred Seals?"

"Yes, Celine. These Sacred Seals will help even the odds and provide you with additional strength," he continued his words offering a glimmer of hope. The Sacred Seals were a symbol of Kiran's trust in their abilities and his belief in their potential.

Then, Emblem Lucina and Emblem Lyn manifested from Alear's Emblem Rings. The two Emblems surveyed the area before turning their attention towards Kiran.

"So, this is what a Hero Battle looks like," Emblem Lyn said. "Kiran, are you going to participate?"

Kiran somberly shook his head at Emblem Lyn. "Unlike conventional battles in the mortal realm, I can't directly intervene in a Hero Battle," he explained. "But rest assured, I am a strategist. I can adjust our tactics and strategies as we proceed."

Emblem Lyn looked at Kiran with a melancholy smile on her face. "A strategist, huh?" she mused. "Kiran, you reminded me of my tactician named Mark."

Kiran shuffled for a bit as he listened to Emblem Lyn's compliments. "Thank you, Emblem Lyn," he replied. "You know, the real Lyn also said the same thing to me, that I reminded her of Mark."

Emblem Lyn crossed her arms as she smirked at Kiran. "Given that you're able to summon the true versions of us Emblems," she remarked. "I kind of expected that."

Emblem Lucina nodded at Kiran, having understood his explanation. "I see," she remarked. "Kiran, if you can't directly intervene, it's safe to say that we Emblems can't intervene either."

Alear readied her Libération as she listened to Emblem Lucina. "That's true," she replied. "During Lumera's Grand Hero Battle, I remember Kiran saying that Emblems can't be used. I suppose that also applies to every Hero Battle."

Then, Fjorm, her voice filled with determination, spoke up, her words carrying a resolute tone. "I'm sure we can accomplish this together. The four of us have to give it our all for Veyle's Mythic Hero Battle. We're counting on your orders, Kiran," she declared, her conviction shining through. The significance of the battle was not lost on her, and she understood the importance of their united effort.

At that moment, the weight of their task settled upon them. Armed with the Sacred Seals and fueled by their determination, Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine prepared themselves to face the challenges of Veyle's Mythic Hero Battle. Their shared determination and unwavering resolve would guide them through the turmoil ahead, as they fought not only for their own sake but also for Veyle's redemption and the restoration of peace within her troubled mind.

Inside Veyle's bedroom, a sense of relief washed over Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria as they successfully stabilized the portal. The room was filled with the ethereal projection of Kiran, Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine, allowing everyone present to observe their progress within Veyle's mind.

"So, this is what a Hero Battle looks like," Diamant remarked as he saw Kiran giving away four items to Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine. "Wait, what are those items?"

"Oh? Those are Sacred Seals," Peony explained. "They're medals that contain skills or abilities that most Heroes can use, but only Kiran has the final say on who gets to use a Sacred Seal."

"Most Heroes?" Ivy inquired at Peony. "What do you mean exactly?"

"From what I can discern when Kiran deploys me," Triandra replied in Peony's stead as she pointed at Alear's Sacred Seal. "Some Sacred Seals can only be equipped with certain Heroes. Take the Distant Counter Melee Seal, for example. That Sacred Seal can only be equipped to Sword, Lance, and Axe wielders, but it grants them the ability to counterattack ranged foes."

"I see," Ivy nodded. "I assume there are Sacred Seals that Tome users can use?"

"There are a few Sacred Seals that are tailor-made for Tome users," Peony explained. "Like the Still Water Seal. That Sacred Seal harshly reduces the user's defense, but in exchange, the Sacred Seal increases their attack power and magic resistance."

Just as Peony answered Ivy's question, Alear's Three Stewards, Vander, Clanne, and Framme, entered the room. Vander's eyes widened in astonishment as he took in the scene before him.

"How am I seeing the two Divine Ones and Kiran in this projection?" Vander exclaimed, his voice filled with wonder and confusion. The sight of this unprecedented phenomenon left him in awe.

Clanne, his curiosity piqued, turned to Peony seeking answers. "Peony, what exactly are we all seeing?" he asked, his voice carrying a mix of intrigue and anticipation. The projection before them held a mesmerizing quality, and Clanne was eager to understand its significance.

Peony, her voice steady and filled with knowledge, responded to Clanne's question. "What you are all witnessing is a Hero Battle, to be precise, a Mythic Hero Battle," she explained, her words carrying a sense of authority. The battles taking place within the projection were not mere illusions but rather a manifestation of the heroes' strength and determination.

Framme, her voice brimming with cheerfulness, couldn't contain her curiosity. "What are these Hero Battles?" she wondered aloud, her words laced with excitement. The concept of these battles held a sense of novelty and intrigue for her.

Vander nodded in agreement with Framme, his curiosity piqued. "I'd like to know more about these Hero Battles as well," he said, his voice reflecting his eagerness to learn. The opportunity to witness such extraordinary battles had sparked Vander's interest, and he yearned for a deeper understanding.

Lumera, her voice filled with knowledge and experience, responded to Vander's inquiry. "A Hero Battle is a challenge where Kiran selects four Heroes to face off against a specific Hero," she explained, her words carrying a sense of authority. "In some cases, if Kiran and his four chosen Heroes emerge victorious, the defeated Hero has the option to join Kiran's cause," she continued, her voice tinged with wisdom.

Framme, her eyes widening with curiosity, couldn't help but ask Lumera how she knew these details. "How do you know all of this?" she questioned, her voice filled with genuine wonder. The revelation of Lumera's familiarity with Hero Battles intrigued her.

Lumera's smile grew wider as she shared her own story. "You see, I was summoned via my own Hero Battle shortly after my death here in Elyos, specifically in a Grand Hero Battle," she revealed, her voice carrying a sense of pride. "Upon my defeat, I allowed myself to be summoned by Kiran as a Hero," she explained, her words unveiling her journey. The transformation from a Grand Hero to an ally in Hero Battles shaped Lumera's perspective and understanding.

Vander, his tone filled with a hint of reproach, directed his words toward Lumera. "Lady Lumera, I know that Kiran summoned you as a Hero after your death, but you did not inform me about this detail," he stated, his voice carrying a touch of disappointment. Lumera's omission of this important detail left him feeling left out.

Lumera's smile remained, her response lighthearted. "In all fairness, you didn't ask me about that, Vander," she playfully retorted, her voice carrying a note of mischief. The exchange between Vander and Lumera showcased their camaraderie and the ease with which they bantered.

Peony, sensing the need to refocus the conversation, interjected. "Now, let us all watch as Kiran's group challenges Veyle in this Mythic Hero Battle," she declared, her voice filled with anticipation. "I'm sure it's going to be a treat to watch!"

Now armed with a deeper understanding of Hero Battles, the group turned their attention back to the projection before them. The stage was set for a clash of wills, where heroes and emotions would intertwine, and the fate of Veyle's troubled mind would hang in the balance.

In the depths of Veyle's mind, Kiran, Alear, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine braced themselves as the onslaught of Fabrications charged towards them. Veyle, for a brief moment, lingered in the backline, observing the chaos unfolding before her.

Alear and Fjorm swiftly moved to defend themselves against the encroaching Axe Armor and Green Mage. Their weapons clashed, filling the air with the sound of battle. Amidst the clash of steel and magic, Kiran's voice cut through the chaos. "Male Alear, Celine, go to the left corner and fight off the Sword Infantry and the Bow Fighter," he commanded, his voice filled with determination.

Male Alear, ever the dutiful ally, responded without hesitation. "I'm on it," he declared, positioning himself strategically so that the Sword Infantry had no other choice but to face him head-on. His resolve was palpable as he prepared to meet the enemy's assault.

Celine, her tome at the ready, nodded in agreement. "I'll do what I must to help support everyone," she affirmed, her voice filled with determination. With a deep breath, she channeled her magic, ready to unleash her abilities and provide much-needed support to her allies.

Amidst the clash of steel and the crackle of arcane energy, Male Alear stood firm against the onslaught of the Sword Infantry, his resolve unyielding despite the fierce assault. As the enemy's blade arced towards him with deadly intent, Male Alear met the attack head-on, his sword intercepting the blow with a resounding clash of metal.

"I will stop you!" Male Alear declared, his voice ringing out with determination as he pushed back against the Sword Infantry, his Draconic Aura surging forth with draconic power.

With a swift motion, Male Alear unleashed the full force of his skill, the energy of Draconic Aura enveloping his blade as he delivered a devastating counterattack. The Sword Infantry staggered under the onslaught, their defenses crumbling before Male Alear's relentless assault, until finally, they fell, defeated by his unwavering resolve.

Meanwhile, across the battlefield, Celine found herself under siege from the relentless barrage of arrows unleashed by the Bow Fighter. With quick reflexes and a flicker of magic, she conjured a barrier of light from her Joyous Tome, deflecting the incoming projectiles with ease.

"It's tea time!" Celine exclaimed, her voice ringing out with confidence as she retaliated with a powerful spell from her tome. Glimmering energy surged forth, engulfing the Bow Fighter in a brilliant green light, their form dissolving into nothingness as Celine's magic found its mark.

Amidst the chaotic flurry of spells and steel, Fjorm stood steadfast against the onslaught of the enemy mages, her icy resolve unwavering even in the face of their powerful magic. As the Green Mage and Red Mage Flier unleashed their arcane assaults upon her, Fjorm's Ice Mirror II skill activated, forming a shimmering barrier of ice around her that absorbed much of the incoming damage.

"You won't get past me!" Fjorm called out, her voice echoing with determination as the magical shield deflected the worst of the enemy's attacks.

Empowered by the strength of her special skill, Fjorm wasted no time in launching a retaliatory strike against her foes. With a swift motion, she summoned the power of her lance, Leiptr, channeling the frigid energies of ice as she unleashed a devastating blow upon the Green Mage and Red Mage Flier.

"Leiptr! Lance of Ice!" Fjorm declared, her voice ringing out with icy resolve as her lance struck true, piercing through the defenses of her adversaries with chilling precision.

Meanwhile, across the battlefield, Alear faced off against the Axe Armor with practiced skill, her Libération gleaming brightly as she effortlessly deflected the enemy's heavy blows. With a graceful motion, she countered the Axe Armor's assault, her blade flashing in the light as she struck back with calculated precision.

"I am the Divine Dragon!" Alear proclaimed, her voice ringing out with confidence as her blade found its mark, cutting through the enemy's armor with ease.

As the battle raged on, Kiran's sharp eyes caught sight of the first wave of enemy reinforcements. A Red Mage, a Lance Fighter, and a Lance Cavalry emerged, adding to the challenges they already faced.

Observing the incoming foes, Kiran couldn't help but grimace at the enemy reinforcements. "Hmm," he muttered. "The battle will be harder from this point onward."

"Then, I hope you can think of something, Kiran," Fjorm smiled as she encouraged Kiran. "I know you can do it."

As the battle raged on and the enemy reinforcements poured in, Kiran's strategic mind raced to assess the new threats that emerged on the battlefield. With a glance, he formulated a plan of action, directing Male Alear and Celine to intercept the incoming enemies on the right flank.

"Male Alear, Celine, to the right corner!" Kiran called out urgently, his voice cutting through the chaos of battle as he pointed out the approaching Red Mage and Lance Fighter.

Both Male Alear and Celine nodded, understanding the importance of their new assignment. Without wasting a moment, they swiftly moved to their designated positions, their focus unwavering.

Alear, standing beside Kiran, spoke up, her voice filled with confidence. "Leave the Lance Cavalry to me," she declared, her grip tightening around her blade. She was ready to face the new threat head-on.

Kiran, his gaze fixed on the approaching Lance Cavalry, inspected the enemy closely using the power of the Breidablik. He swiftly assessed the situation and issued a warning to Alear. "Be cautious, Alear. The Lance Cavalry wields a Firesweep Lance," he cautioned, his voice carrying a note of concern. "This weapon prevents you from retaliating, but it also means the Lance Cavalry cannot retaliate either."

Alear nodded, her determination unwavering. She readied her Libération, her eyes focused and determined. "I'll be ready for that," she affirmed, her voice laced with confidence. She understood the challenge that lay ahead, but she was prepared to face it head-on.

At the same time, the Red Mage and Lance Fighter descended upon them, Male Alear and Celine braced themselves for the impending onslaught. With weapons at the ready, they prepared to repel the enemy's advance.

The Lance Fighter lunged forward, wielding their Steadfast Lance with deadly precision. Male Alear met the attack head-on, his defenses holding firm against the lance's assault. Though he endured some damage, his resolve remained unshaken.

Seizing the opportunity, Male Alear unleashed a powerful counterattack. His Libération swung with deadly accuracy, powered by the activation of his Draconic Aura skill, courtesy of the Darting Breath seal. The force of his blow struck true, felling the Lance Fighter.

"I am the Divine Dragon!" Male Alear proclaimed, his voice ringing out with unwavering confidence as he vanquished his foe.

But even as the Lance Fighter fell, the Red Mage wasted no time capitalizing on the distraction, unleashing a barrage of magical energy at Male Alear. Caught off guard by the sudden assault, Male Alear staggered under the force of the attack, sustaining significant damage.

Witnessing Male Alear's plight, Celine's expression shifted to one of concern, her emerald eyes reflecting her worry for her comrade's well-being.

"Are you alright?" Celine inquired, her voice laced with genuine concern as she reached out to Male Alear.

Beneath his determined exterior, Male Alear offered a reassuring nod, his determination unwavering in the face of adversity.

"I'll manage," Male Alear assured Celine, his voice steady despite the pain he endured, his focus already shifting back to the battle at hand. While the battle had taken its toll on him, Male Alear's resilience and skill allowed him to persevere.

As the Lance Cavalry bore down on her, Alear braced herself for the imminent clash. With a thunderous charge, the enemy knight struck, wielding their Firesweep Lance with deadly precision. Alear's eyes widened in alarm as the lance glowed with an ominous blue aura, its enchantment preventing her from mounting a counterattack.

The Lance Cavalry's assault was swift and relentless, leaving Alear momentarily vulnerable in its wake. However, rather than press the attack, the enemy knight swiftly withdrew to the safety of the northeast corner of the hallway, their retreat a calculated maneuver to evade Alear's retaliation.

Concern etched on her features, Fjorm hurried to Alear's side, her voice filled with worry as she inquired about her well-being.

"Alear! Are you alright?" Fjorm asked, her concern palpable as she assessed Alear's condition.

Alear, catching her breath, reassured Fjorm, her voice steady. "Princess Fjorm, I'm fine for now," she replied, her words laced with determination. She paused for a moment, a hint of surprise in her voice. "This is the first time I've had to face an opponent wielding a Firesweep weapon," she remarked, her tone reflecting her readiness to adapt and overcome this new challenge.

Meanwhile, Kiran's keen eyes caught sight of more enemy reinforcements approaching. A Sword Armor and another Axe Fighter emerged, adding to the mounting difficulties they faced.

With a sense of urgency, he analyzed the newly arrived foes, his Breidablik scanning their abilities with precision. Then, his expression darkened as he identified a troubling detail: the Sword Armor bore the Assault Troop skill, a formidable ability that allows the Sword Armor to move faster than usual, posing a significant danger to their efforts.

"That's not good at all," Kiran remarked grimly, his voice laden with concern as he relayed his findings to his allies. The situation had just taken a turn for the worse, and they would need to adapt quickly if they were to emerge victorious.

As the battle unfolded with intensity, Celine stepped forward with determination, her eyes fixed on the menacing Red Mage. With unwavering resolve, she addressed Kiran, her voice firm and resolute.

Celine, her eyes gleaming with determination, turned to Kiran and spoke with confidence. "Leave the Red Mage to me," she asserted, her voice filled with conviction. She was ready to face the enemy head-on and utilize her magic to its fullest potential.

Male Alear, eager to contribute to the battle, turned to Kiran and asked for permission. "Can I take on the Axe Fighter flanking our group on the left corner?" He inquired, his voice resolute. He was ready to engage the enemy and ensure the safety of his allies.

Kiran, considering their requests, nodded in agreement. "Yes, you both have your designated targets," he confirmed, his voice reflecting his trust in their abilities. With his approval granted, Male Alear wasted no time, swiftly making his way towards the left corner to intercept the Axe Fighter.

As Male Alear moved to engage the Axe Fighter, the Red Mage seized the opportunity and unleashed a spell from their Rauðrlion tome, directed at Celine. However, Celine's resilience and magic resistance allowed her to withstand the magical assault, her determination unwavering.

In retaliation, Celine channeled her magic through the pages of her Joyous Tome. Her Glimmer skill activated, filling the air with a radiant glow. With a flourish, she cast a spell that overwhelmed the Red Mage.

The Red Mage faltered under the force of Celine's onslaught, their defenses crumbling before her relentless assault. With a triumphant cry, Celine struck the decisive blow, her determination evident as she declared her victory over her vanquished foe.

"You need pruning!" Celine proclaimed, her voice ringing out with confidence as she emerged victorious from the fray.

Positioned strategically on the left corner of the hallway, Male Alear prepared himself for the incoming attack. With unwavering focus, he positioned himself in a way that left the Axe Fighter with no choice but to engage him directly. Without hesitation, the Axe Fighter charged towards Male Alear, their Slaying Axe held high.

As the Axe Fighter charged forward with a fierce determination, Male Alear stood firm, his stance unwavering as he prepared to meet the enemy head-on. With a swift and precise movement, he intercepted the Axe Fighter's attack, his Libération clashing against the enemy's Slaying Axe with a resounding clash.

With a surge of determination, Male Alear countered the Axe Fighter's assault with a powerful strike of his own, his blade slicing through the air with precision as he delivered a decisive blow. With unwavering resolve, he declared his commitment to the battle.

"I won't falter," Male Alear proclaimed, his voice echoing with determination as he vanquished his adversary.

As the battle raged on, Celine approached Male Alear, her Joyous Tome emanating a soothing green glow as she reached out to heal his wounds. With a gentle touch, she tended to his injuries, the healing magic of her tome soothing his pain and revitalizing his strength.

With his wounds tended to, Male Alear turned to Celine, concern etched on his features as he inquired about her well-being and the outcome of her confrontation with the Red Mage.

"Did you manage to take down the Red Mage?" Male Alear asked, his voice filled with concern as he awaited her response.

Celine nodded, her expression tinged with weariness as she recounted her battle with the Red Mage, her efforts evident in the strain that lingered in her voice.

"Yes, I defeated the Red Mage, but it wasn't easy," Celine replied, her tone reflecting the effort and determination she had poured into the fight.

However, their respite was short-lived as Celine's attention was drawn to the approaching enemies, the Lance Calvary and the Sword Armor, who bore down on Alear with menacing intent. With a sense of urgency, Celine realized the imminent threat and voiced her concern for her ally's safety.

"Kiran!" Celine exclaimed, her voice filled with urgency as she prepared to come to her comrade's aid. "Alear needs help!"

"Right," Kiran nodded as he saw the Lance Calvary charged at Alear again. "Celine, go help Alear."

As Kiran ordered Celine to help Alear out, Alear remained steadfast, bracing herself for the Lance Calvary's next attack. True to their hit-and-run tactics, the Lance Calvary charged forward, their weapon poised for an assault. Alear, drawing upon her experience and skill, skillfully blocked the attack, her Libération meeting the force of the enemy's strike.

The Lance Calvary quickly retreated, their fleeting presence leaving a trail of frustration in their wake. However, their departure only made way for a new threat. The Sword Armor, fueled by their Assault Troop skill, charged relentlessly toward Alear, their determination evident in every step. With a swift strike, they attacked Alear, aiming to bring her down.

Fortunately, Alear's training and resilience allowed her to seize the opportunity for a counterattack. With a swift motion, her blade met the Sword Armor's assault, initiating a fierce clash. Alear's Luna skill activated, empowering her strike as she took down the Sword Armor with a decisive blow. Her voice echoed with determination as she declared, "Grant me strength!"

Celine, witnessing Alear's triumph, approached her with a determined expression. "Alear, let me take down the Lance Calvary for you," she proposed, her voice filled with determination and a desire to support her ally.

Alear nodded, gratitude evident in her eyes. "Thank you, Celine," she responded, her voice filled with appreciation. She couldn't help but remark, a hint of annoyance lacing her words, "This Lance Calvary with the Firesweep Lance is becoming quite the nuisance to fight against."

As the battle raged on, Kiran's sharp eyes caught sight of two more enemies appearing at the south end of the hallway. A Sword Dragon and an Axe Dragon emerged, their presence adding to the mounting challenges faced by the group. The situation required swift action and strategic decision-making.

Kiran, his voice filled with urgency, called out to Male Alear. "Alear, intercept the Axe Dragon! They're targeting Celine with their Instant Axe," he commanded, his words laced with concern for their ally's safety. The weight of the responsibility fell upon Male Alear's shoulders as he nodded in understanding.

The power of Male Alear's Libération surged, illuminating the battlefield with a vibrant blue glow. With determination etched on his face, he charged towards the Axe Dragon, his every movement purposeful and calculated. In a display of skill and precision, Male Alear swiftly engaged the enemy, overpowering them with a decisive strike. The Axe Dragon fell, their threat neutralized.

However, the battle was far from over. The Sword Dragon, witnessing the demise of their comrade, redirected their attention towards Male Alear. They lunged forward, their Rein Sword arcing through the air in an attempt to strike at Male Alear. The clash of steel filled the air as Male Alear expertly blocked the attack, his determination unyielding.

Undeterred, Male Alear met the Sword Dragon's attack head-on, his Libération gleaming as he intercepted the blow with unwavering resolve. With a swift counterattack fueled by his Draconic Aura, he struck back with unyielding determination, his blade finding its mark as he unleashed a devastating blow upon the enemy.

"Guided by the Emblems!" Male Alear declared, his voice ringing out with fierce determination as he vanquished the Sword Dragon with a single decisive stroke, turning the tide of battle in their favor.

As Male Alear's skilled swordplay brought down the Axe and Sword Dragons, a foreboding presence emerged from the shadows. Veyle, cloaked in a swirling purple aura, approached the group with the Lance Calvary at her side. Her powerful intent hung heavy in the air.

Without hesitation, Veyle unleashed a shadowy attack, directing a dark projectile from her Obscurité tome towards Fjorm, her words dripping with malice. "Feel what I feel!" she declared, her voice laced with dark power fitting for a daughter of a Fell Dragon.

Fjorm, ever vigilant, activated her Ice Mirror II, a shield of ice forming around her. The protective barrier diminished much of the damage inflicted by Veyle's attack, allowing Fjorm to retaliate. Seizing the opportunity to strike back, Fjorm retaliated with a fierce slash from her Leiptr, aiming to weaken Veyle's defenses. However, despite her best efforts, Veyle remained standing, her resilience proving to be a formidable obstacle.

As Fjorm recoiled from the exertion, her breath labored and injuries evident, she couldn't help but marvel at Veyle's tenacity.

"Veyle's more resilient than I anticipated," Fjorm remarked, her voice tinged with a mixture of surprise and admiration. "Most mages fall easily once my Ice Mirror II activates, but not her."

Meanwhile, ever-vigilant Kiran observed Veyle's movements with keen interest, his gaze focused as he scanned her with the Breidablik. "Veyle has a unique ability called Fell Protection," he explained, his tone measured as he relayed his findings to the group. "With Fell Protection, she can mitigate some of the damage she receives as long as she has allies nearby. We'll need to be strategic in our approach if we're to overcome her."

"That means the Lance Calvary needs to be removed," Celine said as she readied her Joyous Tome. "As long as that enemy is on the battlefield, Veyle's ability will still apply."

With Veyle's intentions clear, Kiran swiftly devised a plan. He turned to Alear, his voice resolute. "Charge straight at Veyle and attack her head-on," he commanded his words carrying the weight of determination. "Celine, take down the Lance Calvary."

As Kiran issued his strategic commands, Alear and Celine wasted no time in springing into action. With determination etched on her face, Alear gripped her Libération tightly, poised for the forthcoming confrontation. "I'm ready," she affirmed, her voice resolute as she prepared to charge at Veyle.

Meanwhile, Celine, undeterred by the Lance Calvary's imposing presence, approached the enemy with unwavering confidence. Her Joyous Tome shimmered with arcane energy as she advanced, her resolve unwavering. "Leave the Lance Calvary to me," she assured the group, her voice calm yet determined.

With a swift and decisive strike, Celine unleashed her magical prowess upon the Lance Calvary, easily overwhelming the foe despite the formidable power of the Firesweep Lance. As the Lance Calvary fell before her, defeated by her unwavering determination, Celine couldn't help but offer a lighthearted quip.

"That's one less enemy to deal with," Celine declared, her victory assured as she glanced back at Alear. "Now's your chance!"

With the Lance Calvary defeated, the purple aura surrounding Veyle dissipated, leaving her vulnerable. Thus, Alear seized the opportunity to strike. With her Libération glowing brightly with pent-up energy, she focused her resolve as she readied herself for the crucial confrontation ahead.

"There's my opening!" Alear remarked, her voice tinged with determination as she prepared to face Veyle head-on.

Alear's determination surged as she closed the distance between herself and Veyle, her Libération poised for action. With each step, her resolve solidified, fueled by the knowledge that this confrontation could very well determine Veyle's fate.

As Veyle summoned a dark orb of energy from her Obscurité tome, Alear pressed forward, undeterred by the impending danger. But to her surprise, Veyle's words cut through the tension like a beacon of clarity.

"Don't worry about me," Veyle assured Alear, her voice laced with sincerity. "If there's anyone I'd lose to in battle, it's you... I believe in you, after all..."

The moment Veyle spoke those words, Male Alear widened his eyes in shock, having remembered something from his own Elyos. At the same time, Veyle's unexpected declaration bolstered Alear's resolve, infusing her with newfound determination. With a decisive cry, she prepared to face Veyle head-on.

"Then, I hope you're ready, Veyle," Alear declared, her voice unwavering as she readied herself for the crucial moment ahead. "This ends now!"

Just as Veyle began to unleash her spell, Alear sprung into action, using her Libération with precision. With a swift and practiced motion, she sent Veyle's Obscurité tome hurtling through the air, disarming her adversary in one decisive move. The tome clattered to the ground several feet away, its ominous energy dissipating into the air.

In the wake of her defeat, Veyle gazed at Alear, Male Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, and Celine with gratitude, a smile gracing her lips. "Thank you... All of you," she said, her voice filled with genuine appreciation. "All of you have freed me from my nightmare."

With Veyle's words, the tension that had gripped the battlefield began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of relief and accomplishment. As the Mythic Hero Battle drew to a close, the whole group stood victorious, their bond stronger than ever before.

As the hallway surrounding them began to dissolve, Veyle's voice carried through the fading echoes. She turned to Alear and Kiran, her words filled with newfound warmth and sincerity. "Once I wake up, I want to befriend every one of your friends and allies," she expressed, her voice holding a genuine desire for connection.

Alear, her curiosity piqued, spoke up. "I have so many questions about you, Veyle," she admitted, her voice tinged with both intrigue and caution. "But we can discuss them later when we have more time."

Male Alear, sharing his counterpart's sentiments, nodded in agreement. "Indeed," he chimed in, his voice filled with a genuine sense of anticipation. "I also look forward to getting to know you better, Veyle."

Kiran, their leader and strategist, spoke to Veyle with a reassuring tone. "We'll see each other in the waking world shortly," he assured her, his voice carrying a sense of certainty.

Veyle's smile brightened, her gratitude evident in her voice. "Once this dream ends, Kiran," she began, her words filled with a mixture of hope and determination, "I ask that you summon me as a Hero. I have been soundly defeated here, and I wish to stand by your side."

Kiran, understanding the weight of Veyle's request, nodded in acknowledgment. The hallway surrounding them faded away, dissolving into motes of light that enveloped the group. The warm embrace of the light transported them back to the waking world, where their bonds with Veyle and the promise of their future encounters awaited them.

As they reentered the waking world, the group carried with them the memories of their journey and the knowledge that Veyle's presence would soon join their ranks. The path ahead was filled with uncertainty but united in their purpose, they were prepared to face whatever challenges awaited them.

As the group returned to Veyle's bedroom, a wave of joy and celebration filled the air. Cheers erupted, resonating with the success of Alear and Kiran's group in Veyle's Mythic Hero Battle. Even the retainers of Alfred, Celine, Diamant, Alcryst, and Ivy had gathered, their presence adding to the jubilant atmosphere.

Alfred, his eyes gleaming with pride, addressed Alear and Kiran. "I'm glad they all managed to prevail," he commended, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "And I'm proud of Celine for her unwavering support for the team during the battle."

Chloe, one of Celine's loyal retainers, chimed in with a touch of awe in her voice. "The way Celine supported the group during the battle felt like a fairy tale," she remarked, her words carrying a sense of wonder and enchantment.

Peony, the ethereal ljosalfr, added her perspective. "Alear and Kiran's group will appear before us shortly," she announced, her voice filled with anticipation and excitement. The prospect of their heroes returning from their valiant battle filled the room with a sense of anticipation.

As Peony's words echoed through the room, a portal materialized, and one by one, Alear, Kiran, Male Alear, Fjorm, and Celine stepped out, their faces etched with the weariness of battle. The portal closed behind them, leaving them standing in the familiar surroundings of Veyle's bedroom.

Lumera, her eyes filled with relief, spoke up. "I'm so glad you all managed to emerge victorious in the Hero Battle," she expressed, her voice brimming with genuine happiness.

Alear, her gaze sweeping across her companions, nodded in agreement. "Everyone in our group played their part," she acknowledged, her voice resonating with pride and gratitude.

Ivy, the Elusian crown princess, joined the conversation, her voice carrying a regal yet warm tone. "It was truly remarkable to witness the entire Mythic Hero Battle from start to finish," she shared, her words reflecting the awe and admiration she felt.

Alear couldn't help but respond, a hint of surprise in her voice. "Is that so? I'm glad everyone had the chance to observe our battle," she replied, her voice filled with a mix of modesty and curiosity.

Kiran, their leader and tactician, interjected, his voice filled with genuine satisfaction. "I'm glad to see that everyone gave it their all during the battle," he commended, his words carrying a sense of appreciation for the collective effort.

Celine, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, added a touch of lightheartedness to the conversation. "Well then, let's celebrate our victory with a tea party later," she suggested, her voice brimming with excitement and the promise of a delightful gathering.

Fjorm, her voice filled with determination, turned to Kiran. "It's time, Kiran. Let's summon Veyle as a Hero," she declared, her words carrying a sense of urgency.

Male Alear, recognizing the importance of the moment, nodded in agreement. "Go ahead, Kiran. We're all with you," he encouraged, his voice resonating with trust and support.

Kiran, his grip tightening around the Breidablik, took a step back, motioning for everyone to give him some space. "Please, step back," he requested, his voice firm yet gentle. "I need to aim at Veyle's sleeping form in her bed."

As everyone made way for Kiran, the Breidablik began to emanate a radiant glow, and Kiran's voice carried a melodic chant. "Gathering stars to a Fell Dragon with a gentle heart! Become the path its light shines upon!" he intoned, his words resonating with ancient power and purpose.

With a determined pull of the trigger, the Breidablik unleashed a brilliant beam of light that struck Veyle, enveloping her form in a swirling white aura. The room seemed to hold its breath as the summoning ritual unfolded.

Kiran's voice rose once more, infused with anticipation and hope. "Hero Summon! Become a Hero, Veyle, the Gentle Dragon!" he called out, his words carrying a solemn weight.

Veyle's eyes fluttered open, a renewed energy pulsating through her as she rose from her slumber. Her voice held a gentle strength as she addressed Kiran. "Thank you for freeing me from my nightmare. My name is Veyle. I am ready to assist you and Alear in any way I can," she pledged, her words resolute and filled with a sense of purpose.

The room was filled with a sense of awe and possibility. Veyle, now awakened as a Hero, stood before them, her presence a testament to the bonds they had forged and the battles they had overcome. With Veyle's newfound strength and unwavering determination, they knew they were ready to face the challenges that lay ahead, united as a formidable force.
