Anthony Goldstein's patronus took the form of a kneazle.

"So," explained Anthony, "I am the great grandson of the GOAT magizoologist Newt Scamander and his wife Tina Goldstein."

"So," smirked Sally, "Of course your patronus would be an animal."

"Here's the thing though," explained Anthony, "My patronus is always an animal, but it takes the form of a different animal every time I cast it, with repeats, but you know what I mean."

"So," inquired Neville, "What thought or memory were you focused on?"

"The day my great grandfather Newt Scamander, the GOAT magizoologist, bought me my first pet, a pet kneazle, as a birthday present for me on my eighth birthday."

"It says in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that Newt and his wife have three pet kneazles of their own," remembered Luna suddenly.

"Yes," confirmed Anthony, "And they are strongly of the opinion that kneazles make great pets for younger children who are just getting a pet for the first time because they are both gentle and loyal. Kneazles are catlike creatures for those who don't know. They are even capable of interbreeding with cats."

"Wow," piped up Ernie, "I'm really standing in the same room as Newt Scamander's great grandson. I feel a little in awe of that."

"That's understandable," said Sally softly, "But let's keep in perspective that Anthony's knowledge of magical creatures may well be very useful for us at some point in time."

"Hard agree," nodded Terry Boot, Anthony's BFF.

"Interesting," observed Ginny, "Terry Boot's patronus is actually a boot."

"It's not just about my name though," said Terry fiercely, "I focused hard on the thought of us eventually giving Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters the boot, and a good kick in the chin along the way."

"That's actually fairly similar to Hannah's boxing glove patronus then," said Neville observantly.

"I like Hannah's patronus," said Terry approvingly.

"And I like yours too, Terry," replied Hannah clearly.

"Ernie's is a boar," noted Ginny.

"So," explained Ernie, "I think my patronus's boar form represents the fact that I can become unexpectedly aggressive at times and can be very protective and territorial. This reveal will be a bit uncomfortable for you, Hannah."

"That's okay, Ernie," Hannah told her BFF, "Say what's on your mind."

"I focused hard on a memory of Susan punching Zacharias hard in the face in our common room when that asshole mocked and made fun of poor Hannah for crying in our common room when she returned to Hogwarts after her mom's death."

"Fuck Zacharias Smith," spat Ginny bitterly, "I thought it was bad enough when he kept pestering me for deeply personal information about the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. He's always seemed like a jerk though so hearing about this incident doesn't surprise me."

"I'll always be grateful to Susan for sticking up for me in that moment," said Hannah sincerely.

"Your own patronus is in the shape of a bone," saw Sally.

"My patronus always assumes the shape of a bone," said Susan softly, "I used a memory of the very last time Aunt Amelia ever hugged me before her death."

"That's so sad," sympathized Luna.

"Aunt Ameila's death was a crushing blow to me, leaving me as the last member of my family's line still alive, not unlike Harry Potter himself," said Susan quietly, "Prior to Aunt Amelia's death, my patronus actually took on the shape of multiple bones together. Ever since her passing, my patronus has been a single bone. This single bone is emblematic of how I am all alone and have no one left but myself."

There were numerous involuntary mutters of "Ouch," heard throughout the room.

"I have to give some credit to Harry Potter here," Susan told them in a genuine voice, "When I returned to Hogwarts for the first time after Aunt Ameila's death, Harry arranged for himself, Luna, and me to talk to each other to allow the three of us to bond over our common sense of loss. He and Luna did the same thing for Hannah along with me at my request when Hannah returned to Hogwarts after her mom's death."

"That really helped me out too," remembered Luna.

"Well, " piped up Ginny, looking around, "I see that Parvati and Padma have the exact same patronus form."

And indeed, they did.

Both Parvati's and Padma's patronuses showed a lion and an eagle side by side.

"Our patronuses," Parvati told the group, "Symbolize the sisterly bond that still exists between us despite our differences in houses at Hogwarts."

"I fixated on an image of Parvati and I just sitting alone except for each other by a campfire on a quiet and dark night," Padma informed them all.

"I was locked in on a picture in my mind of Padma and I alone except for each other lying in sand on beach towels naked and barefoot with a hot bright sun overhead and a body of water nearby," piped up Parvati.

"You were both focused on each other and how much you enjoy each other's company as sisters," understood Ginny, "I totally get the personal connection thing. Would everyone now look at my patronus?"

Everyone looked up at Ginny's patronus, which had assumed the form of a stag.

"My patronus has historically been a horse," put forth Ginny seriously, "This is the first time my patronus has ever assumed the form of a stag."

"OOH!" realized Luna a nanosecond later, "Harry's patronus ALWAYS takes the form of a stag."

"EXACTLY," declared Ginny fiercely, "I was thinking of Harry. Not of anything in particular. Just about Harry, seeing his face, hearing his voice, feeling his hugs, and so forth."

"You're still hoping Harry will end up marrying you, aren't you Ginny?" guessed Luna in a dreamy voice, staring up at the ceiling.

"Harry never really dumped me, " said Ginny confidently, "He just had to put our relationship on hiatus because right now he has far more important things to focus on than a girlfriend."

"That there are more important things than dating and girlfriends is something he needs to learn," snarled Anthony, pointing at Michael Corner, whose patronus displayed a version of himself being kissed by several girls and flirting with them.

"Michael used to be the third member of our friendship trio," explained Terry, "But he ended up distancing himself from us in fourth year because he became a girl crazy slut."

"Indeed," nodded Terry, "He reached a point where he considered any moment that he wasn't kissing a girl, flirting with a girl, or making out with a girl to be a moment wasted."

"He's only in the D.A. because he was dating me at the time of its original formation," said Ginny bluntly, "I don't love his presence here, especially given that he ditched me because of house rivalry over Quidditch. He's not a traitor like Edgecombe, a bitch crybaby crying machine like Chang, or a total prick like Zacharias so I didn't object to him returning to the newly reformed D.A., but I'll admit I have some dislike for him now."

"Should we even keep him though?" wondered Sally.

"We should keep an eye on him," suggested Neville, "I say we allow him to stay for now but pay close attention to his focus and commitment going forward. "

"That makes sense," agreed Ginny, "But, back to my stag patronus. Harry's patronus is always a stag because his dad's patronus was always a stag and he finds inspiration in his father. Now, I find inspiration in him. No, I haven't moved on from him. And he hasn't moved on from me either. He just has other matters he needs to attend to first, but I know Harry and I have a future. In the present, I am fighting for Harry and having my patronus take on the form of a stag reflects that."

There's one more patronus chapter next and then we'll be getting into some more serious stuff.

Much love from Arizona for all the support. Love you all-Michael. :)
