This is the final installment of the holiday series and continuation from My Favorite New Year, will Penelope get the wedding she'd always dreamed of, can Derek make all of her dreams come true, I hope you enjoy this story
My Forever Love-Ch 1
The family had spent the 1st and 2nd working on wedding plans, Dave already had alerted the mountain villa and house that they would be flying in on February the 12th and to have both places fully stocked and ready for them to arrive. He had gotten a reply letting him know that everything would be taken care of and ready for the family at both places for when they arrived so that they could start immediately decorating for the wedding/reception.
The team went back home on the 3rd, reported to work on the 4th and were called out of town on a case that same day, they were gone for almost a week before they returned back to Virginia and the rest of their family. Fran had asked that they all get together for a family meal since the team had been away for almost a week, that way they could all get caught up with the rest of the family and let them know how the wedding plans had progressed.
Penelope was all smiles when she saw her fiancee, he looked so sexy walking through Fran's front door, she ran over to him and threw herself into his arms, he held her tight and said, "ohhhh how I've missed you". When they pulled apart she said, "we've missed you too" as her hand slid down to her stomach, his hand gently rested on top of hers and he said, "hello in there little one, daddy's home, daddy's home".
Fran stood watching her son with a smile on his face, being in love suited him, being a parent was going to suit him and she couldn't hardly wait to see her baby hold his first baby in his arms, it would be like a right of passage. Standing there looking at her son brought up memories of her late husband, she couldn't help but think about Hank at a time like this, a time that if he were alive would bring him so much joy.
Sarah, Desi and Fran had worked to prepare a delicious meal for everybody and when the rest of the team arrived they all headed to the dining room where they spent over an hour and a half eating, laughing, talking and getting caught up on life and the wedding arrangements that Fran, Penelope and the girls had worked on while the team was out of town.
Derek was all smiles when Penelope talked about the flowers and how she could picture how she wanted everything to look, Dave looked at her and said, "ya know kitten, we could prepare a visual aid on the computer of what you want the villa to look like when it's fully decorated for the wedding/reception so that my staff can have everything done for you by the time we arrive on the 12th so that you and Derek can tour Paris since you've never been there".
Penelope looked at Derek and said, "what do you think handsome, do you like that idea?", he said, "we can do whatever you want to goddess, this is your dream wedding and I want you to have it your way". She thought for a minute and said, "that would make things easier for sure that way all we would have to do is bring the dresses and flowers with us", Dave and the others nodded their heads yes and Penelope said,"okay, let's do it" as she waited for Dave to pull up a copy of the floor plans for both his villa and house/cottage her and Derek would be staying in for their honeymoon.
Over the next couple of hours the wedding party laughed and talked while they decided how they wanted everything to look and when they were done Penelope said, "that's my idea of a dream wedding location". Everybody gathered around the computer and smiled at the sight in front of them, everything was going to look beautiful, it was going to be the wedding that Penelope had always dreamed of and she was going ot be marrying the love of her life in a few short weeks.
Derek pulled her into his arms and said, "are you ready to make an honest man out of me?", she said, "ohhhh I've been ready, the question is are you ready for me?", he leaned in and whispered into her ear, "ohhhh I do believe I'm the man for the job", she blushed and playfully smacked his arm causing Derek and everybody else to laugh, this wedding was going to be happening in less than 5 weeks they just hoped that time would pass by quickly so that they could get married and start their lives together as husband and wife.
