"Indeed I do, nuff said your shop doesn't have one of the best games ever recently released on shelves anymore, a reason for that?" The man said as Emerald sighs and looks at the guy.
"Pretty sure either the game was recalled or sold out depending on if it had a controversy or not… pretty sure the nice shopkeeping woman there isn't in charge of items brought here in the way you think man." Emerald said when he got the mans attention from the woman much to her relief to him but this worried the woman a bit more since this could lead to trouble as Emerald moved to get a different set of headphones.
"And who are you supposed to be?" The man said.
"A possible paying customer called Emerald if I can find a good priced headset… who are you?... coming from a convention?... nice shoulder pads or pauldrons by the way, came into town recently so if there is something like that, nice outfit for a space movie theme." Emerald said before he puts the headphones down.
The man was fuming.
"Allow me to introduce myself… I am… Control Freak."
"Huh?... Control Freak?... never heard of you… like I said just got in town." Emerald said though as he picked up another headset, Control freak got his remote out and points at the headphone and shot at them with his remote making the wires in the headphones burst from the package and wrap around Emerald who looks surprised by this.
"Scared now? I can make anything come to life with this remote of mine." Control freak said.
Emerald just gained a half lidded look when he flickered and with a wave of his hand, the headphones returned to normal and Emerald moved to get near the shopkeeper.
"Sorry for this trouble." Emerald said before he moved to push Control freak out with a shocking amount of force and Control Freak fell out of the store through a portal as the Hive came by and saw Emerald walk from it while he looks REALLY irritated.
"You know… I'm trying to calm down but guys like you… really make it hard to hold back in killing bastards like you… news flash Control Freak, anything you can do, I can undo… and I'm NO hero." Emerald said while his eyes glow ominously while he looks at Control Freak who was forced far from Emerald by the impact.
"Oh… he's really mad and… who's the fatso?" Mammoth said.
"No clue… shit got to stop Emerald since he looks like he will be going for the kill." Jinx said as Control freak got up and while a bit nervous, did notice that he was surrounded by cars and various street based things and chuckles when he looks at Emerald.
"Hehe… OK didn't expect a power user but I got a few ways to get out of this…" Control freak said when he points at various things bringing them to life and as many Cars and many street lights ran at Emerald as a distraction, Control freak used a Car to get in and starts running though Emerald just frowns and much to the hives shock, Emerald just waved his hands and before Emerald near the Hive's sight… time rewound in front of Emerald and…
"Hehe… OK didn't expect a power user but I got a few ways to get out of this…" Control Freak said in a dejavu moment but Emerald moved to stop Control Freak when he got the control from Control Freak's hand and dusted it when he flickered before Control Freak shocking the technomancer.
"Hey! My remote!" Control Freak said.
Emerald was silent before he moved his hand before Control Freak's face making Control Freak look fearful now as Emerald gave him a cold look.
"I can kill you, you know… age you into dust…" Was all Emerald said as his eyes glow ominously now as he slowly charged his power.
Control Freak was now getting scared before Jinx tries to put a stop to it.
"Stop!" She said.
Emerald blinks at this and looks at Jinx.
"Jinx?... you allies with this bastard or something?... guy was about to rob a damn game store or cause trouble there all because of a game not being on sale or something…" Emerald said while narrowing his eyes as Jinx and the Hive.
"Okay… first… I don't know who this guy is and… don't really care but… I only just want to talk to you Emerald. I want to apologize for earlier." Jinx said.
Emerald just rolled his eyes.
"Yeah right… finding me soon after I got called by Cyborg or something… pretty sure you're just a distraction and don't really mean a damn… not like it matters… was dealing with this guy first… let me get rid of this trash and we will see if any talk is good." Emerald said while he looks coldly at Control Freak again but this time a new voice was heard from the sky.
"I wouldn't advise doing that Emerald."
Emerald blinks when he heard that and looks to see Blackfire, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, all in flying states with Beast Boy in a bird form, and Cyborg and Robin on Raven's black energy disc pad type of transport while Emerald rolls his eyes.
"And why shouldn't I?... this guy pretty much attacked me… think I would care if I would become wanted by people who half ass in taking care of bastards like this?... We all know I could dust this bastard and get away and no one can stop me so give me one good reason not to end this guy since he was the one to throw the first punch by making items in a game shop come to life and try and attack me." Emerald said when he had a look that showed he could care less if any of the titans tried to stop him, he could just flicker away again without issues.
"Please friend Emerald. Killing is not the way. Let the world's authorities handle him now." Starfire said.
"Friend?... don't throw that label with me since you guys just want to use me for my powers… as for this WORLD's authorities… think they can really do anything?... sooner or later guys like this could just make a new item to get him out of prison or use some kind of power to get free… think this worlds even capable of judging guys like this?... you can say a lot but try and say that to the shopkeep inside who looks traumatized thanks to guys like this… its one thing with criminals with guns and no powers to be judged but think guys like this who can fuck with reality by bringing inanimate objects to life with a funky control like this can be judged right?" Emerald said when he rewound the dusted remote to show it to the titans and mimicked Control Freak when he brought a Mailbox to life and it acted like a puppy with Emerald by running around him and stuff when he sets the remote to some kind of less hostile setting with a labeled button.
The group blinks at this before Blackfire tries to speak.
"Emerald… I can understand that no one should have that kind of power and this… can't say man should be punished but… I don't know if killing will work either… I think you and I got off on the wrong foot back at the tower. I wasn't trying to use you for your power. I said I wanted to thank you. Obviously I didn't word things right so I apologize. However… you don't seem to believe me so… to prove I'm serious… I'll let you hit me as hard as you can. Don't mind if you use your power on me to weaken me." She said surprising many.
Emerald though looked pissed now as he tossed the remote at Blackfire which she caught on reflex.
"Fuck you if you think I'll harm a woman without good fucking reason… ONLY reason I didn't accept advances is because I wasn't a popular guy at my last few schools, I didn't use my powers and its only thanks to them that people need me, want to take this asshole… fine… don't say I didn't warn you if he gets lose and you have to catch him again and again… but if you think I would be LOW enough to hit a woman who hasn't attacked me first physically… think fucking again…" Emerald said as he looks more angered than ever.
"Considering things… you want me to stick around… fine… you have 1 week to prove things right to me and I'll contact Raven tomorrow when I cool down… but put actual fucking thought in it… don't assume I'll play your sick games… fucking hitting a woman… I heard from Raven you are a battle hungry race of people called Tamaranians when I asked about you and your sister… so pretty much me hitting you, weak or strong would be a damn turn on given how eager you looked to get fucked by others… well fuck you and your culture since it seems to clash HARD with my way of thinking." Emerald said as he flickered away leaving the titans with the Hive and Control Freak while the Mailbox dog looks dejected right now.
Starfire looks at Blackfire.
"Sister… I'm sorry to say this but to quote Beast Boy… you fucked up."
"What did I do?" Blackfire said while she tried to be as apologetic as possible as Robin and Cyborg stopped Control Freak from running off when they placed hands on his shoulders and knocked him out for now making the Technomancer get knocked out and Cyborg picked Control Freak up..
Raven sighs.
"Well for one… telling a man to hit a woman… that's one thing a man doesn't do."
"Didn't Cyborg and Robin attack women like Jinx in the past and stuff for wrong doings?... also didn't they smack our collective asses hard?" Blackfire said with a raised eyebrow.
Raven sweatdrops.
"You have a lot to learn but either way… now we're gonna have to do what we can to get on Emerald's good side."
"Otherwise he will be gone in the Week and maybe for good." Starfire said while she looked worried, dealing with her heat like Blackfire would have to do would be tough, now they have to deal with getting Emerald's trust in a week… boy this would be hard.
"Yeah… and considering I helped making things worse… I'll try to help too." Jinx surprisingly said.
"Huh?... wait why are you helping?... arn't you the bad guys?" Starfire said when she looks confused now.
"Oh wait are you turning to the path of goodness!?" Starfire said when she looked excited as Jinx sweatdrops.
"Yeah you wish… no… honestly I'm not sure why, maybe its because the guy did nothing wrong to us persay and normally wouldn't do this, but a misunderstanding like this doesn't sit well with me." Jinx said while she crossed her arms.
Blackfire sighs.
"Good enough. May as well start planning things."
The groups of women nods, at this while Gizmo and Mammoth rub their heads.
"Well… uh… we will be heading back to the base, good luck on your manhunt and stuff." Gizmo said before he jets away on his backpack while Mammoth chuckles as he points left.
"And uh… got Pizza to eat." Mammoth said before he ran off comically kicking up a trail of dust.
Jinx sighs at this.
"Idiots…" Jinx said when she knew where to find them later and stuff.
"Anyway considering we have a week and Emerald will call Raven tomorrow or 24 hours from now… best we head home and rest up because Blackfire and probably starfire have the hardest part of all between the four of us… convincing Emerald to not run off and have him listen to us talk." Jinx said with a half lidded look on her face while she and Raven look at Blackfire and Starfire at the same time with half lidded looks.
Starfire chuckles nervously as Blackfire raises her eyebrow.
"Hey, no time for judging."
"Indeed… see you three later…" Jinx said before she walked after where Mammoth went and as Starfire and Raven dragged a fuming Blackfire after them by grabbing her ankles, the scene fades to black on this day… went well… but ended badly in a few ways…
