"When did Isabella say she would get here?"Rosalie asked Tanya. The pair had traveled from New York to Italy and were now waiting in a beautiful villa waiting for Isabella to show up. While traveling Tanya had told her about vampires and everything to do with Isabella and her mission. After finding out all the things that her missing lover had prevented and was trying to prevent Rosalie was very interested in meeting the woman. The first thing she wanted to do is thank Isabella for saving her from Royce and his friends. Rosalie had never really liked the man and had only agreed to the engagement because it was expected of her. She had known since she was a little girl that she would have no choice in who she would marry. It didn't matter if she didn't love the man. It didn't even matter if she liked him. Her parents would be the deciding factor. Now that she was no longer under her parent's control Rosalie was going to do all she could to live her life to the fullest.
Tanya checked her watch that was set to the same time as Jane's. "She should be here any minute."
"Do you think she will like me?"Rosalie knew that Isabella had visions about her but wasn't sure if Isabella would like her once they met in person.
"Of course she'll like you. She has been excited to meet you ever since she had her first vision of you in the 14th century."Tanya actually thought Isabella had been more excited than Tanya because she had seen how it would play out. Tanya didn't have the uncontrollable longing Isabella did from seeing her mate and having to wait to see them.
Before Rosalie could reply there was a knock on the door."Is that her?"
"Only one way to find out."Tanya raced to the door and opened it finding Jane standing next to Isabella on the other side."Jane good to see you."
"You as well Tanya."Jane held Isabella's arm out for Tanya to take."I would stay and chat but you only have an hour and I know you would like to have your privacy."
Tanya took Isabella's arm and guided her inside. Calling over her shoulder as she closed the door."Thank you Jane."
"No problem."Jane replied.
"Did you have problems getting Rosalie here?"Isabella asked.
"No but before we continue I want to tell you how happy I am to see you."Tanya dropped Isabella's arm and caressed Isabella's cheek leaning forward to kiss her.
Isabella happily let herself fall into the kiss. She desperately missed her mate and no amount of letters could replace being in her physical presence. Pulling back Isabella laid her forehead against Tanya's."I am happy to see you too. Even though I'm not seeing you."
"Let's me introduce you to Rosalie. She has been anxious to meet you."Tanya retook Isabella's arm and led her to where Rosalie was standing." Rosalie this is Isabella. Isabella this is Rosalie."
"It's nice to finally meet you Rosalie."Isabella held back from reaching out. She didn't want to make Rosalie uncomfortable.
Rosalie however was having none of that. She immediately stepped up to Isabella and pulled her into a hug."Thank you so much for saving me from Royce and Carlisle."
"Even if you weren't my mate I wouldn't have let you go through that."Isabella would have helped a stranger out if they were put in that position. Not that she didn't help strangers anyway. Its was quite common for Isabella to have a vision of a human or a vampire being put in a dangerous situation that Isabella interfered in. Not every one of them benefited Isabella or her cause either.
"Regardless thank you."Rosalie released Isabella from the hug and held onto Isabella's hand.
"We don't have much time so let's get started."Tanya wished they had a chance to spend time getting to know each other better but Isabella would be noticed if she was gone too long. As she wasn't allowed out of the castle it would cause quite the panic and Isabella would have no way explaining how she left without getting Jane in trouble.
"Did Tanya explain everything that's going to happen?"Isabella asked Rosalie.
"She told me that you both would be biting me on one of my wrists and injecting me with your venom. Then I will be in immense pain for three days before the change is complete."Rosalie wasn't looking forward to the pain but knew that it would be worth it because after it was over she was going to be able to spend eternity with her mates.
"I'm sorry there isn't anything we can do to prevent the pain. Athenodora and Colette have done extensive research but have found nothing that will help."Isabella's mothers had been searching for centuries trying to find a way to ease Rosalie's suffering. Isabella was upset they didn't find anything. Not that she blamed her mothers for the lack of knowledge. Isabella knew they tried their hardest.
"It's alright. I can manage."Rosalie assured her.
"I have no doubt."Tanya was positive that Rosalie would handle the pain easily. Even only spending a day with her it was obvious the girl was stronger than people gave her credit for.
"I hate that you have to feed off of animals when you wake up."Isabella initially wanted to give Rosalie human blood but it was decided that it would be better if she was only exposed to animal. It would help with the transition.
"It's not forever and Tanya has done it for centuries."Rosalie hated the idea of animal blood as well but knew that she wouldn't have to live off it after the big event happened.
"I personally can't wait until the day comes that I can stop."Tanya hated animal blood. Luckily Isabella had seen that in the future there would be ways to change a person's eye color so even with the red eyes they could blend in with humans.
"I'm sure Kate and Irina can't wait either."Isabella said.
"True they still don't understand why we abstain from humans. We live far enough away from them that our eye color doesn't usually matter. They can easily be covered with sun glasses."Tanya wished she could tell her sisters why they fed off of animals but the time hadn't come yet.
"I promise they will forgive you once everything is revealed."Isabella knew that once they were told why everything had to happen the way it did Tanya's sisters would understand why Tanya was so secretive.
"That's another thing to look forward to have happening soon."Tanya couldn't wait until she no longer had to lie to her family.
"First I need to give Rosalie the block."Isabella needed Rosalie's mind to be shielded so that no one could forcefully take any information away from her.
"This will still work even when I'm changed right?"Rosalie worried that the block wouldn't transition from her human mind to her vampire mind.
"It will."If Isabella wasn't positive Rosalie would be protected she would've waited until Rosalie was turned to give her the block.
"Alright what do I do?"Rosalie asked.
"I need to touch your face."Isabella told her.
Rosalie's took Isabella's hands and put one on each of her cheeks."Like that?"
"Yes, now close your eyes. You will feel a little bit of pressure. Don't fight it let it in. Once you do the feeling will go away."Isabella instructed.
Rosalie closed her eyes and immediately felt the pressure Isabella told her about. She took a deep breath and tried to relax as much as she could and once she did the pressure stopped."Did it work?"
"It did."Isabella confirmed.
"Good now Rosalie why don't you lay down on the bed. Then we will get started."Tanya said.
"I can do this."Rosalie was very nervous. Not to become a vampire but she feared something might go wrong. She had never been involved in a human turning into a vampire before.
Tanya easily picked up on Rosalie's nervousness."I changed my sister Anne and she turned out fine. I doubt anything bad will happen to you."
"If you really don't want to do this neither of us will force you. It has always been and always will be your choice."No matter how much Isabella wanted Rosalie to be a vampire she wasn't going to do it unless Rosalie wanted to. Isabella never wanted anyone to have their choices taken away from them. Even if it was for something as simple as what clothing they were going to wear.
"I want to do it. Not only will I be helpful in bringing down the kings, I want forever with both of you."Rosalie wasn't going to back out. The rewards that came with being a vampire were well worth suffering through her nervousness.
"And we want forever with you."Tanya just wished that didn't have to wait to start their forever."To do that you need lay down and get comfortable."
"Alright."Rosalie wiggled around on the bed until she got into a good position."Before you start can I have a kiss from both of you?"
"Of course."Tanya led Isabella over to Rosalie.
Once Isabella was close Rosalie wrapped her arms around her neck and kissed her like her life depended on it. She may not have felt the bond as strongly as she felt it with Tanya but she did feel connected to the blind vampire. Pulling back to take a breath Rosalie smiled."I can't wait to see you again so I can feel the bond completely."
"I can't wait either."Isabella would just have to contend herself with visions of Rosalie just like she did with Tanya.
Tanya stepped in and gave Rosalie a kiss of her own."I'll see you when you wake up."
"I'm ready."Rosalie laid back down and closed her eyes. It was odd for her to think that when she opened them again she would no longer have a beating heart.
"On three."Isabella lifted Rosalie's wrist to her mouth and counted out."One, two, three."
At the first taste of Rosalie's blood on her tongue Tanya was overwhelmed with the feeling of euphoria. Not only was it the first time she drank human blood in centuries but this was her mate. She shivered as Rosalie's life force entered her body. The results of the blood immediately making her feel stronger and her mind clearer. Even though she didn't want to Tanya stopped before she killed Rosalie."I forget how good human blood makes you feel."
"It makes me uncomfortable having both you and Rosalie not at full strength for the big event."Isabella said after laying Rosalie's arm down.
"We will be fine. The allies you have gathered know we are on your side and you will be there to protect us."Tanya wasn't worried. The plan wasn't finalized yet but she knew that Isabella would make sure that the three of them were standing tall when everything was said and done.
"It would be nice if Athenodora could fight with us but she will be needed to calm down the other two queens."Isabella said.
"She is the only one who they will believe when the false mate bonds are broken."Tanya expected Didyme and Sulpicia to be very confused when the false bonds they had with Marcus and Aro were broken. Athenodora would be the only one they would trust to tell them the truth.
"I wish I could have broken them centuries ago but it would have ruined everything. Luckily with Marcus and Aro being mated to each other they don't touch either of the queens. If they did then I would have killed them myself."Isabella had the hardest time not killing Caius for the many years worth of rape and compliance he forced her mother into.
"You will get your chance to kill all three of them very soon."And Tanya was going to be right by Isabella's side when she did it.
"She isn't screaming yet."Isabella had thought that Rosalie would have been at least whimpering by now.
"It's not unheard of for a vampire not to make a sound when they are changed. You didn't."Tanya said.
"Is she moving at all?"Isabella asked.
"No even her face is peaceful."Tanya told her.
"It just shows how strong she is going to be once she goes through the transition."Isabella had seen Rosalie accomplish many great things in the future.
"We have a little time before Jane comes back. Why don't we sit down on the couch and talk while we wait."Tanya suggested.
"We don't need to sit to talk."Isabella knew exactly why Tanya wanted to sit on the couch and it had nothing to do with talking.
"Maybe I would enjoy having you close while speaking to you."Tanya didn't want to waste any time they had alone being a part from each other.
"Well who am I to deny you the opportunity. Help me to this couch you speak of."Isabella easily went along with Tanya. She too didn't want to waste their time together.
"I would love to."Tanya walked up to Isabella and held on to her arm to lead her to the couch on the other side of the bed Rosalie was laying on. Even though she wanted to spend time being engaged in physical activities with Isabella she didn't want to be away from Rosalie while she was in such a vulnerable situation. It was just to bad Isabella couldn't be there when Rosalie woke up. Tanya understood why Isabella chose to be part of changing Rosalie instead of being there after she was changed it was just that Tanya hated that they had to make those choices to begin with. Isabella should have been able to be one of Rosalie's sires and been there to help guide Rosalie through her newborn period. Then the three of them should have been spending the rest of eternity in each other's company enjoying life and living it to the fullest. It was because they didn't that guaranteed Tanya and her mates were going to be merciless to the kings and their allies when the big event came. There was no way Tanya was going to let the men responsible for keeping her away from Isabella have a quick and painless death.
