Heyyo! Thank you for deciding to give this story a try. I just wanted to give a little information about the story for my Readers.

There will be many time skips, since the main focus will be on the protagonists life after Hogwarts. This doesn't mean, that I will skip out on the main storyline of the Harry Potter books, but I won't go into too much depth about the Protagonists Life at Hogwarts itself. It won't be a slice of life about his Hogwarts days. And since his time at Hogwarts is instrumental for the person he later becomes, I didn't want to skip it entirely and help you guys understand his development. It's a bit boring, if there is no character development in a story, right?

You will also get flashbacks of his travels around the world.

It probably won't become a Harem but he will definitely sleep around. Maybe an OC will become his partner or someone from the main story, I haven't decided yet. I'm open to suggestions after you understand older Adam more. I'm not even against a Harem, but it doesn't quite fit into the development I have in mind for him.

A warning: English is my second/third language and I have ADHD, so please excuse any grammatical errors or a change in the writing structure. I did my best to eliminate errors and check for grammatical mistakes, but I never got that down perfectly in english. I mostly write according to what feels right.

And this is an AU, please keep that in mind. I will change the magic a little too, to make it fit better to the story, but nothing major. Just some easy spells to make life easier.

Chapters will have at the minimum 1500 words.

Thanks again for giving this a try and happy reading!

Chapter 1

"Mr. Cromwell!"

With a start Adam woke up from his daydream and focused on the voice. And, upon seeing the angry expression on his Tutors face, he couldn't help but gulp audibly.

"If you have no interest in these studies, please tell me beforehand so I don't have to waste my time. I'm sure your father will understand it, if you tell him.", Mr. Turner said with a sickly-sweet voice and diabolical smile on his face.

Adam, confronted with the option of choosing his death or focusing on the lesson, choose the safer option and straightened up to listen properly. And Mr. Turner, seemingly satisfied, began talking again about the social rules that every Noble in England should know.

Adam, barely 6 years old, couldn't be bothered to listen closely, so he just put on a façade while drifting back into the embrace of his own thoughts. It wasn't that he had no interest in the subject, contrary. He loved that knowledge and the fact that he was superior to others in some way. Loved that he was special. But the lesson got boring increasingly fast, because he already knew about everything that Mr. Turner was talking about.

And it wasn't just with this lesson. He was at a point, where the only new knowledge he gained were from his language studies. In all his others lessons he was already miles ahead.

His lessons got to a point, where they weren't benefiting him anymore and just got boring. And, since his lessons are structured according to the normal learning curve for kids his age, the lessons were often repeating and nothing new.

So, it became one of Adams first goals to learn how to properly read. He managed to acquire a dictionary to look up new and complicated words and taught himself to a point, that his parents had to increase the difficulty of his language lessons. And, after testing him on his other subjects, they increased the difficulty of all his lessons to at least 3 years ahead.

Their reasoning for that was, that he was too young to only focus on his studies. Adam didn't really get it, they'd seemed happy upon discovering how smart he is, but accepted their plans nonetheless. Afterall, the Family Library was still open to him whenever he desired to read something.

"That will be all for today, Mr. Cromwell.", came the heavenly words from Mr. Turner and Adam couldn't hold back a brilliant smile, which earned him an eyeroll. "Maybe I should add some homework until next week?"

Mr. Turner didn't even try to hide the bright grin after seeing Adams reaction to that question and, laughing like one of those villains that Adam read about, he walked out of the room leaving a scared looking Adam behind.

"Creepy guy…", Adam muttered under his breath. But, not wanting to waste another thought on his weird teacher, he ran out into the halls of Castle Dryads-Rest, the homestead of his family since even before the roman invasion.

The Castle itself wasn't really that big, being situated on the outskirts of a forest and right on a cliffside looking out into the sea. It wasn't that the surrounding lands weren't owned by them, no. They actually owned the whole forest and a little island close-by. Visitors often got confused, how such an old Family like the Cromwells could only have such a small Castle for their Ancestral Home. And the Castle itself looked more like a Fortress with its surrounding walls and towers, so it didn't really fall into the typical style of British Nobility.

But Adam loved this castle. It had so much history in its Walls and with the free use of magic, his Ancestors increased the size of the interior enough for their needs. Every generation of Cromwells would only have one child after all, so much space wasn't needed. And if more space was needed, magic was the solution.

From the highest roof to the lowest dungeon, Castle Dryads Rest had much to offer and Adam was still finding new things every day. But his absolute favorite spot, much to his parents' chagrin, was the market situated in the Castles bailey.

This market, even though it was the only one Adam had ever seen or experienced, was the most interesting and most exciting thing Adam had ever seen.

It wasn't a Wizards market like Diagon Alley, but it still was a market place filled with magic. And that was because this market was governed by the Cromwell family and used by the magical population of the Forest and Sea.

For millennia this place has existed and been one of the most popular trading hotspots for magical creatures that had their own societies. Even Goblins visited were regulars, because of the diversity of the products and the easy and free of discrimination trades. Over time it even got its own name, the Dryads Haven.

It wasn't that all creatures got along with each other, but here on Cromwell land they had to obey by the rules and clear any conflict outside or bring it to the attention of the reigning Lord Cromwell. Adam had read in a notebook, that in the beginning there were fights even the Lord Cromwell couldn't break up, so the Lord at that time hired Muggle Knights and Warriors to patrol. These days there was powerful magic at play, that was in charge of protection, and some wizards in employ as guards, so his father, the current Lord Cromwell, only needed to intervene in business conflicts. But Adam knew his father hated interacting with these magical species.

He didn't know why, since it was literally his familys' biggest income source, but Adam didn't let it bother him. He himself enjoyed talking to and learning from these interesting creatures. And their magic was so different and yet so similar, that Adam fell in love with learning everything about them. Which was why he was sprinting down the hallways down to the bailey, ignoring the calls of a few concerned Maids and Guards.

Bolting right out through one of the doors used by servants, it didn't take long before Adam found himself in the middle of the Market.

Adam once heard his mother complain to one of her friends that the marketplace was getting bigger every day and getting closer to a small city. Magic was clearly at play here, since the bailey was bigger than should be possible. Otherwise, all these creatures, their stalls and wares wouldn't fit inside.

"Young Lord! Long time no see. Did you finally escape the clutches of your Tutors?" A jovial voice called out to Adam.

Adam, grinning at the owner of the voice, turned around and threw his long hair out of his face, which made it turn from black to dark green.

"They couldn't stop me from coming here even if they tried, Kartak!", Adam answered and puffed out his chest trying to look tough, which earned a few laughter from those who heard him and knew him. Which was practically everyone who frequented the Cromwell Market.

Kartak, a dwarf of impressive stature, waved Adam closer and threw a little cake into his hands. Because, contrary to his looks, Kartak was a baker and quite a popular one, since even many Nobles ordered his pastries.

"Alright alright, little Lord. I can only imagine the horrors you put your teachers through." Kartak shuddered dramatically, earning a happy grin from Adam. "If you are interested, a new tribe of Fairies just arrived and are selling interesting stuff to- "

"Interesting he says!", interrupted an angry Goblin in the next stall, seemingly selling weaponry. "They only sell their wares to kids and all the kids are causing chaos with that stuff! I already had to change my clothes twice today, because some mutt used some fairy powder to change the color of my clothes!"

"So, some little kids managed to sneak up on you, a great Goblin Warrior?" Kartak just rolled his eyes at the Goblin, while Adam snickered at Kartaks answer.

Just as the Goblin wanted to answer, Adam stuffed the little cake into his mouth and ran off, shouting over his shoulder "Behind you, Gortuk!", which caused the Goblin to jump and turn around, only to get sprayed with Fairy Powder from the top.

Some little kids of different breads ran away laughing while Gortuk stood in pink clothes frozen to the ground.

Booming laughter from Kartak brought Gortuk out of his shock and he stormed away to change his clothes for the third time today.
