After their rebellious night, Alison and Reid kept meeting up any chance they got. They often met at the coffee shop, where Reid would catch up on his readings and Alison would come up to him time to time, bringing a cup of sugary coffee to him, when the place was a little died down. They also went back to Apollo's book shop a few times and recommended books for each other, or Alison tried to come up with anything that Reid hasn't already read, failing for most part. They stayed in a few times, ordering Chinese food, so Alison had the chance to tease Reid about his chopstick skills.

After a while they both grew comfortable with each other enough to come over to the other's apartment. The first time Alison came over was however, not so relaxed for Reid.

"Hey, do you have time this week to do something?" asked Alison during one of their usual phone calls. Reid was picking out a book from his shelves and settling down his couch.

"Yeah, I should think so. It was a crazy few days with work" answered Reid, thinking about their latest case. God, what people were capable of.

"You are okay though?" asked Alison, concern in her voice.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. It's just weird, you know? After all these years you would think I would have gotten used to all the horrible things people do" said Reid with a tired sigh.

"I think I'm glad you are not use to it, Spencer. That would be the first sign of madness. And let me tell you, I am not about to have a boyfriend, whom I could only visit in a mental hospital. Do you know how hard it would be to schedule with my hectic life. Visitation rights are way too specific" she rambled, probably trying to lighten the mood for Reid. He just smiled, appreciating her jokes, as always.

"Yeah, because right now we are oh so flexible" commented Reid, with a teasing smile. Alison laughed.

"Well, I am not the one, who spent the last few days in Chicago, Doctor."

"But you are the one, who usually has excuses. My professor gave us an unsolvable assignment, I have exams I have to study for, My hair is turning grey from all the stress, so I have to dye it" Reid said, recalling everything she said when she didn't have time for their activities. "Besides, I am pretty sure the last one was just out of laziness"

"You don't know that. But it does make a lot of effort to look this good and after the week I had at that time definitely took any last energy fractures away from my body, which I could have used up on getting ready. So yeah, that was a small white lie. But the others were true. And I did make you an amazing coffee to make up for it." She said, trying to explain herself. "Also, you have cancelled too multiple times, I just can't quote you word-to-word on those, because I don't have an eidetic memory"

"Alright fine. I will let you have this one." Reid mumbled, putting his feet up on the couch, so he could lie down.

"Let me?" she exclaimed on the other end, laughing nonetheless. "I handed you your butt there. Don't make me come over and smack you"

Reid laughed too. "We wouldn't want that"

Alison grew a little quiet for a moment. "Hey, why don't I come over? I mean if you want me to, of course. We could do something now, before anything came up. This way, none of us could cancel" she said and waited for his response.

Reid thought for a second. He sat up and looked around his usually neat and organized apartment. It was a bit of a mess. His newly bought books were piling up by the door, his clothes were hanging from his chairs and also from the couch. His go bag was on the kitchen table, smelling horrible and there were quite a few unwashed dishes in the sink. Right. This would paint a great picture.

"Why don't I come over? You wouldn't have to drive then, but we would still get to see each other, just as you have said" Reid offered, hoping Alison would bite. But, she didn't. Of course not.

"Oh, come on. That's so not fair. You have already seen my place. I wanna see yours. It must be like a library." She said, hoping to convince him.

Reid sighed. Okay, so she doesn't live that far away from me, which means that at this hour with no traffic, she could get here within fifteen minutes by car. He looked around again. Yeah, this is not going to get cleaned up in fifteen minutes.

"How about another time. We could just have dinner somewhere?" Reid tried again. He did not have the energy to clean up the mess.

Alison sighed on the other end. "Well, we could. I'm just not sure about something. I do recall, you enjoying me kissing you, right?" she said slowly and kind of dangerously.

Reid blushed a little. "Right, very much so" he mumbled.

"Well then. We could do dinner, I'm just worried that it would not be compatible with a kiss" she said as casually as she could. Oh. Reid caught on. Oh, she was clever. Also, she was a little minx.

"I see what you are doing" was all Reid said.

"Why, what am I doing?" Alison asked as innocently she could.

"It's not gonna work. I can have dinner with you and perfectly enjoy myself without any promise of being kissed after" Reid said. He wasn't even convincing himself.

"Okay, so we agree. Dinner it is. Dinner with no kisses. Where should we go?" she asked, keeping up her act. Reid thought about dinner with her. Her in something she usually wore, being pretty nonetheless. She joking with him, having that bright smile. Her lips pulling her whole face into something beautiful. Well, that's great now. Thinking about her lips. Nice job Reid. He sighed defeated.

"Okay fine. You can come over." He said eventually and she gave a small squeal at the other end. "But I do not appreciate bribery, just so we are clear"

"Noted. I am not gonna use my powers for evil ever again. At least, not with you. I cross my heart." She said, and Reid could just imagine her actually doing that. "So, I'll be there in thirty minutes I think" she said.

"How come? You could be here in fifteen minutes." Reid said, confused.

"Well, yeah sure. After I have gotten ready. Unless you want me to go there in my comfortable raggedy clothes" She said amused. Reid actually wouldn't have minded that, but it gave him extra time to get the place in order.

"No, you just take your time. No hurry" he said while getting up, already picking up his tie and shirt he just dropped on the couch.

"Alright then. See you in thirty, Genius" she said and hung up. Right. Thirty minutes. That could work.

So, while Alison was getting ready, Reid picked up all his dirty clothes scattered around the apartment and threw them in the laundry basket, which was already overflowing. Great. He made a mental note to do laundry in the very near future. He got his shoes in order quickly and dropped his go back on the top of the laundry basket. He proceeded to wash the dishes and finishing that he opened up the window to let in some fresh air. Lastly, he went and picked up his tower of books and sorted them to their places. He was about to get changed and wash his now sweaty face, when the doorbell rang.
This was quick, he thought so he adjusted his messy hair and went to open up the door. It revealed Alison standing there in one of her math shirts, paired with a hoody and jeans. She was also wearing her usual boots, which Reid now thought were her only pair of footwear.

"Hey, you look great. Come on in" offered Reid and stepped aside, so Alison could walk in. She was staring up at him with slight concern on her face.

"Spencer, are you okay? You look a little sick. You could have said you were not feeling well" she said and stepped closer to put the back of her hand on his forehead, checking his temperature. "You are definitely warm. Are you having a fever? I could make some tee for you, but can't promise a chicken soup. I'm a disaster in the kitchen"

Reid smiled at her considerateness. He took her hands in his, so she focused on him, finally stopping her growing list of how to take care of Reid. "I'm fine. No sickness. Just a little tired" he offered.

Alison nodded slowly, still unconvinced. "Okay? So, what's up with the sweaty forehead and dark circles under your eyes, Mr. Health?" she asked.

Reid gave a long sigh. Alright. Apparently, coming clean was the only way to win her over. "Well, for your information I spent the last thirty minutes with cleaning up my place, so you don't have to come spend time with me in a dumpster" he explained. She made a face of understanding as realisation hit her. "Oh, I see. That's why you didn't want me to come here. Now I get it" she said, looking guilty. "I'm sorry I made you clean. You shouldn't have, though. I'm fine in a dumpster as long as I'm with you. I would make a great raccoon." She joked, hoping to make up for her antics. Reid laughed.

"Don't worry about it, it was long due anyway. So, would you like to come in now?" he asked, stepping away again to let her in. She nodded and went inside already looking around curiously. She marvelled at his book collections, stepping closer to one of the shelves. "I knew it. Library" she said, referring to their conversation, giving him a small smile, which Reid returned.

He closed the door and went up to her. "So, now you got your way and you are here, what would you like to do?" he asked.

She blushed a little. "I didn't get my way." She mumbled.

Reid raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? What do you call this then?"

"Being utterly convincing?" she offered with a small smile. Reid just laughed at that, so Alison gave him a small nudge. "Whatever. Shut up" she said with a small laugh of defeat.
She went back and took off her shoes, revealing a pair of origami patterned socks. Reid smiled at that. Another thing they had in common. Weird socks. "Since I was such a brute, getting my way" she started with a teasing smile "What do you want to do? It's only fair, if you choose"

Reid thought for a second. Well, cooking was out of the question apparently for both of them. His eyes landed on his DVD collection. "We could order something and watch a movie?" he offered.

"Ground-breaking idea, my genius boyfriend" Alison agreed quickly, and came up to him to give him a small peck on his cheek. "Here is your reward. How about I order, and you put something on?"

"Great." Reid nodded with a lingering smile after her kiss. "What are you in the mood for?" he asked, crutching down to the DVDs. Alison shrugged while dialling. "Surprise me. But no horror." She added with a strict, pointed finger. Reid was looking through his collection thoughtfully, while she was wondering around with the phone to her ear, exploring his apartment. He could soon hear her ordering pizza.
Reid was reading the titles one after the other, when he stopped at one. A beautiful mind. Yeah, that could work. He pulled out the DVD and held it up for her to see. Alison turned there, still speaking on the phone and held her thump up in agreement. So, Reid put it on and waited for her to join him.
Alison hung up and sat down next to Reid on the couch.

"So, should we start the movie or wait for the pizza first?" she asked.

"Well, I don't like being interrupted in the middle of the movie" Reid said. Alison just nodded to that. "Got it. So, we are waiting then." She said scooting closer to Reid with a mischievous smile on her face. "What- what are you doing?" asked Reid.

"Nothing" she answered as she slowly bent down and gave him a small kiss on the lips. Reid quickly returned it, his arms coming up around her. She lent even more, so Reid couldn't help, but fall back on the couch with Alison on top him. She deepened the kiss, which Reid appreciated with a small hum, and she slowly dragged her hands down on his torso. This is escalating quickly, though Reid for merely a second, and his mind returned to the foggy blissful happy state it was in. Alison reached the end of his shirt and stopped, pulling away a little so she could look Reid in the eye, questioningly. He nodded after catching the massage, so she pulled his sweater vest over his head, to be faced with his shirt.

"You know, you are wearing too many layers, Doctor" she said breathlessly with a small smile. Reid gave a small smile at that. "You are too" he said before he even thought it through. Alison gave him a surprised, but appreciative look and she pulled down her hoodie, then she pulled her shirt over her head, leaving in her bra. Reid brain short-circuited for a moment, before he mimicked her action and pulled his shirt over his head too. Alison's eyes wondered down his bare chest, a smile forming on her lips. "Well, you have been holding back, Spencer" she managed while leaning in again kissing him. Reid didn't even have to properly blush, her hands were already exploring his chest. So, it was only the only logical next step, that he returned the favour, which she acknowledged with a hitch of breath and a whisper of his name. Reid was definitely starting to lose his sense of reality. He could only focus on Alison. Her scent, her warmth, her body on top of his.
So, without a thought he turned over, changing positions. Now, with him on top, he laid gentle kisses on her neck and started to make a path down her chest when the doorbell rang.

Right. The pizza.

They both scrambled up from the couch, breathless and red-cheeked. "I uhm, I can get it" Alison said, pulling her shirt over her head and getting to the door, way more gracefully Reid could've.

"Hi, Pizza delivery for Alison Hansley." Said the pizza delivery man and held out two boxes of pizza for her. "You already paid through the app, so enjoy" he added already stepping back, leaving.

"Thanks" replied Alison and turned back inside, facing Reid, who was putting his shirt back on. "Oh no, you could have stayed without that" Alison commented jokingly, but still blushing. Reid raised his hand, scratching the back of his head nervously.

"Uhm, so I'm sorry, if it was, uhm, a little too much" he mumbled, not knowing what else to say.

Alison shook her head. "Don't be ridiculous. It was nice. I mean, I did like it." She blushed again at that. "Uhm, did-did you?" she asked, biting her bottom lip.

"Yeah-yeah, it was just a little unexpected. But you-you are, I mean, you-" he sighed. "You are really beautiful, Alison" he managed not quite looking at her.

Alison smiled. "Not so bad yourself, Doctor. Hence the suggestion you remaining shirtless." She said pointing at Reid's now returned shirt. Reid laughed a little. "Not joking there. You can just give the shirt to me, you know. I can even fold it for you. Put it away for good" she said coming up to him. Reid shook his head at her.

"You are going to be the death of me, Alison Hansley" he mumbled, looking at her with a small smile. "But you know, in a relationship everything is a two- way stream. So, by mathematical logic, if I have to take my shirt of, it concludes yours should come off as well" he said with rosy cheeks. Alison gave a happy laugh at that settling on the couch.

"Na-ah, it's way too cold in here for that. Do you want me to catch my death?" she asked, still laughing.

"Do you want me to? You just suggested I'll be shirtless. How is that fair?" Reid asked, sitting down next to her.

"Well, men can endure cold much more, then women can-" she started, Reid gaping at her, then without thinking he pulled her to him giving her a small tickle, to which she laughed even more. She managed to free herself and reach out her arms, to stop him. "Okay, hold up now. I wasn't prepared for attack. Let's just put up the white flags until I refill my ammunition with pizza. What do you say?" she asked offering a hand for a handshake. Reid looked at her reached out hand, remembering their night at the coffee shop. A lot has happened since. Reid looked up at her, pretending to think hard on her offer.

"Alright, you have yourself a pact. But it's only a temporary truce" he said shaking her hand. She laughed and made her way to the pizza boxes.

"Where are your plates?" she asked opening one of the boxes. "Hold on, I will bring them" Reid answered already going to the kitchen. He soon returned with two plates, giving her one. She put two slices on her plate, then returned to the couch. "Alright, let's watch this movie." She said, taking a bite from her pizza. Reid soon joined her and he started the film. They ate in silence, but they stole looks at one another, while other was not looking. Alison put down her plate after finishing her slices and scooted closer to Reid, resting her head on his shoulder. Reid's heartbeat sped up. He looked down at her.

"Don't worry. I am not gonna try anything. We are still in the truce" she said, only half paying attention to him, just watching the movie. So, Reid didn't move, just sat there, being the most comfortable, he has ever felt.
Around half of the movie Alison fell asleep, so when the movie ended, Reid carefully stood up, trying to not disturb her. He put a pillow under head and pulled a blanket over her small form. She was so peaceful like this. And what a little minx she was, when she was awake. Reid smiled at that, stepping away to pack up the leftover pizza and wash the plates.
Alison stayed there that night, sleeping on the couch. In the morning the two of them had breakfast and coffee together, which Reid realised Alison needed just as much as he did. She was definitely not a morning person. Her eyes were unfocused, her messier then he ever seen it, and words spoken halfway.

"Do you have to work today?" asked Reid, sipping his coffee. Alison grumbled something at that, which he took for a yes. "Do you want me to drive you home, so you can change before your shift?" he asked after a second, looking at her eating in silence. She was probably still halfway asleep and halfway in an other universe. Reid couldn't help, but like her even more. She looked up at him, seeing him smiling. "What are you so happy about? It's too early to be happy. No one should be up so early" she whined returning her gaze to her cereal. "But yes, I would appreciate you driving me back. Do you have more coffee by any chance?" she asked, as she realised her mug being empty. Reid held back a laugh and got the pot, to fill her mug up. She smiled at that, looking up at him. "You are a beautiful soul, Spencer Reid" she said. Reid finally laughed out at that. No wonder she works at a coffee place.

After they finished breakfast, Reid drove her back to her apartment as promised and then they went to the coffee shop together, from where Reid could walk home after saying goodbye. Alison did catch him before he reached the door, giving him a goodbye kiss, then going back to the counter. Reid left with a smile stuck on his face.

So, after the first time, there were a lot of other times following being at Reid's apartment. Alison stayed over a lot too, and there were times Reid stayed over at her, both always sleeping on the couch.

"You know, you don't have to sleep on the couch. You could just sleep with me" Alison commented once, which made Reid swallow his drink the wrong way, coughing hard. "Jeez, don't drown yourself. You are way too young and handsome to be gone" she laughed, handing him a napkin. "Besides, I didn't mean anything more than sleeping side by side."

Reid nodded, being able to breathe again. "Yeah, I-I do know that" he said, blushing a little. Alison just gave another short laugh at that.

"But I mean, we could do that too, and sleep after." She suggested, laughing at his surprised expression.

"You be careful, I might just take you up on that" Reid said, mimicking her teasing tone.

"Is that a threat or a promise?" Alison asked, with a suggestive smirk.
