The night was dark and foreboding, the ocean beside the crypt churning wildly as if sensing the unholy act about to unfold. Caleb Morley stood at the entrance, his figure a stark shadow against the moonlight. The door to the crypt creaked open under his hand, revealing the damp, cold interior that held secrets as old as time itself.
Caleb's steps echoed through the crypt as he made his way to the back where a lone sarcophagus lay. The stone coffin was adorned with the image of a woman – Olivia, his long-lost love, the one whose face haunted his every dream.
He ran his fingers over the cold stone, whispering softly, "It's time, my love."
Muttering ancient words, Caleb's voice filled the crypt, resonating with a power that seemed to warp the very air. A faint light began to seep from the sarcophagus, growing brighter with each word he spoke.
With a final chant, the lid slid aside, and there she was, Olivia, preserved in death as if merely asleep. Her beauty was still breathtaking, her face peaceful.
Caleb reached into the sarcophagus, his hands trembling as he touched her. "Olivia," he said softly, "it's me, Caleb. I've brought you back."
Her eyes fluttered open, revealing a depth of confusion and ancient wisdom. "Caleb?" she whispered, her voice a mere echo in the crypt.
"Yes, my love," Caleb replied, his heart racing with anticipation. "And now, you'll truly be mine, forever." With those words, he bit into his wrist, dark blood oozing out. He pressed the wound to her lips, urging her to drink.
Olivia's hesitation was brief; then she drank deeply, her body shuddering as the transformation began. Caleb watched, a mix of love and triumph in his eyes.
Outside, the wind howled in response, the ocean's waves crashing against the shore with renewed fury. Caleb helped Olivia to her feet, her eyes now glowing with the same dark fire as his.
"We have eternity now, my love," he whispered, holding her close. "And Port Charles will never be the same."
As they stepped out of the crypt, the first light of dawn touched the horizon. A new chapter was beginning, one that promised to intertwine the fates of all in Port Charles with the resurrection of a love lost to time.
Rekindled Shadows
Hungry Eyes
"Where is he? Why hasn't he come after us?" It'd been three months, three long, miserable months since that night in Lucas' room. The four of them were sitting ducks. They were waiting, had been waiting since that night; but his revenge never came, but his words still left them watching over their shoulders, expecting a hungry set of fangs to bury into their necks. "I don't know, Livvie." Lucy and Livvie were boxing up the last of Kevin's things, the house had been sold, which surprised both of them after everything had happened.
"Jack thinks he may have been bluffing, but i'm not so sure." Livvie admitted with a sigh. "How is Lucas?" Livvie shrugged her shoulders. "We just enroled him in Port Charles Jr. High, Jack thinks it'll be good to bring some normalcy, and get him on a routine but I still see a disconnect from him, it doesn't seem to be easing up." Livvie and Lucas were moving in with Jack; he had the room for both of them and it gave Jack and Lucas an opportunity to spend some time together and get to know one another.
"What does Jack say?" Livvie huffed with a sarcastic smirk. "He says that I am being overly protective; and that Lucas has been through a lot, he just needs time." Lucy nods in agreement. "He could be right. Livvie, Caleb possessed Lucas, and Lucas lived and is living with those memories, that changes a person." Livvie knew that Lucy and Jack were probably right but she'd learned to never underestimate Caleb's pull or his ability to manipulate any and every situation to his advantage. "How did he come back?" Livvie asked.
"Jack didn't want me to say anything to you. He didn't want me to scare you any more than you already were but; He drained some teenagers in the church." LIvvie gasped. "He was using Lucas, and the posession to get stronger, he probably had no intention of hurting Lucas, it was a smoke screen to focus our attention on Lucas while he regained his strength. There were two young men, they stumbled into the church, down into the basement where Caleb's coffin remained open, they got close enough for him to grab them."
Livvie slowly eased down into the chair in her father's office as Lucy slowly explained what had transpired in the church. "Caleb was still incredibly weak so it took quite a bit of time for him to drain them, and he was very aged due to the deteriation process." Lucy continued as Livvie swallowed hard. "Caleb didn't just drain them of their blood, he drained them of their youth! They looked mummified when they were found." Livvie ran her fingers through her hair. She'd been so focused on Lucas, she hadn't even heard about the boys in the chuch.
"This doesn't make sense, Lucy." She quivered before shaking her emotion away. "What doesn't make sense?" Lucy softly spoke kneeling in front of her. "When has Caleb not been around to gloat? I don't like this fucking 'waiting around for the first punch' shit!" She growled standing up and tossing some more items in a box as Lucy stood alongside her. "I don't like it either but Caleb has vanished! We can't even find him to bring the fight to him, and believe me, I would love nothing more than to drive a stake into his heart again!"
Lucy loudly exclaimed as they continued throwing things in the box, both feeling more on edge than they had when they'd started but on the other side of the world in a small village outside of Puerto Palmas, nestled amidst the dense foliage of the Oaxacan jungle, lay the tranquil village of Santa Elena. This secluded hamlet was a world away from the chaos and turmoil of Port Charles. Amongst a group of young, teenaged locals who danced with passion by a large fire on the shore but in the darkness stood Caleb and his bride, Olivia.
"Look at them, my love. They are so happy, so content, but it's all a lie. We should enlighten them in our ways." Her voice was velvet, and bold with plump, cherry red lips, and a thin line of liner under her eyes, her skin pale and cold matched his ever so perfectly as they gazed in the darkness at them. Olivia exuded an aura of otherworldly beauty, her ethereal features illuminated by the flickering firelight. With a voice like honey and venom intertwined, she whispered words of manipulation and temptation into Caleb's ear,
Caleb, his presence commanding and enigmatic, regarded the dancing villagers with a mix of disdain and amusement. His piercing gaze seemed to penetrate the festivities, seeing through the facade of happiness to the underlying darkness that lurked within each soul."They know nothing of true happiness," Caleb replied, his voice low and rough, resonating with a subtle menace. "Their joy is fleeting, born of ignorance and naivety." Caleb had never followed anyone but he'd happily follow Olivia through the pits of hell, she was his soulmate.
"You can save them, my love. You can show them that things can be better, they can be better, stronger, happier." She licked her lip as Caleb nodded before slowly stalking towards them with Olivia following hungrily behind him. She couldn't help but bite her lip at one particular young man, only about eighteen years old but she could smell his blood all the way from where they stood, mixed with his cologne of spice and cedar-wood which drove her wild with hunger and arousal.
With a predatory grace, Caleb and Olivia wove their way through the throng of dancers, their movements fluid and mesmerizing. As they passed, whispers of darkness followed in their wake, casting a shadow over the once joyous celebration. The young man, oblivious to the danger lurking nearby, continued to dance with abandon, unaware of the predatory gaze fixed upon him. His innocence and vulnerability only served to fuel Olivia's hunger, her lips parting in a silent promise of ecstasy and agony.
She ever so delicate dragged her blood painted nails along his bare flesh; making him turn and face her and all her beauty before she turned, taking his hands and burying her body into his with the rythm of the music. She could feel his heartbeat as it increased while Caleb watched from the side, watching her head dip back against the young man's shoulder as his hands slide up and down her thigh, a light moan escaping Olivia's mouth. Caleb wasn't bothered, he knew that it was all an act before the pleasurable chaos that would soon follow.
"Your making me wet." She moaned taking his hand and finger, sliding it between her lips, sucking it as he groaned. ""Puedo encargarme de eso, mami." His voice carried confidence and self assurance as she let out a flirty laugh before the fiery pain surged through him, a roar of agony erupting out of him as he ripped his hand away from her, holding his hand up to see that she'd taken his finger off. "I'm sure that you could baby, but that wasn't what I was talking about." She closed the gap between them as locals began to rush away from them.
Back in Port Charles, in the darkness of his new bedroom at his father's house, Lucas tossed and turned, dreaming of the chaos and terror that Olivia and Caleb descented on the group. He could see the blood, he could feel the hunger that exuded between both of them. He could hear the cries, the pleads. "soon, Lucas." and with that Lucas leapt up from his bed. "Dad!" He cried out, heavy footsteps rushing towards his room as Jack and Livvie rushed in, both appearing half asleep as they sat by him.
"He's building an army!" Lucas was breathing hard as Livvie and Jack gazed at one another before looking back at him. "He's not alone!" Lucas continued, swallowing hard. "There's a woman with him. He called her Olivia!" Both gasped but Jack did his best to appear as calm and collected while rubbing his son's shoulder. "I seen her, I seen her attack this guy! She ate his finger before biting him, and Caleb, there was like nine or ten people and Caleb took all of them! I seem him do it!" Lucas pleaded with them, shock on both of their faces.
"Lucas, baby. Are you sure that it wasn't just a bad dream?" Livvie was grasping at straws and she knew it but what else could they tell him. "You're mom's is right, bub. It was probably just a bad dream." Jack nodded as Lucas admently shook his head. "No, I heard Caleb speak to me! He told me that he'd be back for me, soon." Livvie and Jack both shook their heads. "That'd never happen, do you understand me? Lucas, You have two of the craziest parents in the world and if there is anyone you don't fuck with, it's the kid of two crazy people!"
Livvie quipped in an attempt to calm her son as he nodded, slowly lying back down, Livvie and Jack standing up before making their way out of his room, leaving his door a little more than cracked. "What the hell, Jack!" Jack pulled her into his room, shutting the door behind them. "Livvie, we have to keep calm!" Jack placed both of his hands calmly in front of him. "How! Jack, How did he know about her? How the fuck did Lucas know about Olivia?" Livvie was shaking as she paced around his room,
"I don't know, maybe he heard you and Lucy talking about her!" It was now Jack's turn to grasp as straws. "Jack, When have either one of us ever said her name? I can actually say that I can't say that name without have chills shoot up my body from when Caleb used to say it to me." Jack shook his head, rubbing his hands over his tired face. "Olivia is the last thing I'm worried about. I'm more concerned about this army that Caleb is building." Livvie nodded in agreemnt, it'd been the moment they'd been waiting for, but when would they swing.
