Hey everyone sorry for taking two months to upload a new chapter. I got lazy, got fired from my job, and got more into telling another short story of mine since it had OC's of mine that I had before I started doing facfiction. Plus many other games, like palworld, Lethal company, got back into GTA V, etc. Plus writing fight scenes tend to discourage me to continue cause they come out bad to me. Either way I came out with a new chapter finally so here you all go. Enjoy! (P.S. Don't own RWBY or any other franchise I mention. They all belong to their rightful owners, I only own my OC's.

[Rehtaf] Hm, persistent, aren't you?
[System] Well, I had to be. How was I supposed to know what stuff was yours?
[Rehtaf] Fair, but please make a request before forcing yourself upon us.
[System] How the hell am I supposed to do that?
[Rehtaf] Ask, and we'll hear.
[System] Sounding like a damn god.
[Rehtaf] Well, I was. But I hated being a god.
[System] Oh?
[Rehtaf] But enough about me. What was it you wanted to know?
[System] Right! How can I determine if the items we use belong to you?
[Rehtaf] Oh, it'll be very obvious.
[System] How?
[Rehtaf] It'll be something like this.

[System] AH! BITCH! I WASN'T FINISHED!
(Weiss)
"Dammit, Ruby!" Huffing in annoyance, Weiss stared back at the giant creature. Seeing as it was distracted by the others, she began pulling Ruby to safety, hoping she would not be attacked by the creature in her prone state. "Alright, stay here and don't do anything stupid." Rushing back to the creature, Wiess began helping in attacking the creature. While attacking it, she got a good look at its features.
The creature was hunched over and had multiple red eyes sticking out of its back. It had long arms reaching the floor and a purple-pinkish flora growing out of its body. Plus, the creature was giant, reaching three stories tall.
Summoning some glyphs, she began throwing ice spikes at it, which only broke harmlessly on the creature. Huffing in annoyance, Wiess continued to assist others in avoiding getting hit by it. Remembering how the blonde got hit once, she didn't want to be at the receiving end. Scanning the surroundings and the others trapped fighting this thing, she realized something. "Weren't there eight of us?" she asked as she noticed a missing bow-wearing girl.
(Jaune)
Jaune was panicking. This THING had appeared out of nowhere. Once everyone had gotten their pieces, the creature tore itself out of the ground and began attacking. Soon, the creature stopped its attack and stood tall, looking up. It then released a roar, and green rings came out of its mouth. Raising his shield to block the attack made him grunt in pain at the Force. But in the corner of his eye, he also saw Prryha doing the same. Turning back to the giant, Jaune and Prryha began rushing in to attack. It swung at them, but both dodged its sluggish attack easily. What came as a surprise, though, was the creature jumping. It jumped over to both the green-clothed boy and the orange-haired girl.
(Nora)
"Aw gee, it's coming for us, Ren!" Sounding panicked
"Nora, focus!" as they both moved out of its landing area. But what shocked them both was the blast of pressure that hit them. Not only that, but the spikes that came out of the floor managed to hit her and pierce her aura. Letting out a shriek of pain, Nora stared in horror as the spike cut her leg off. Holding the stump of her leg, Nora continued to scream in pain.
(Ren)
"NORA!" Ren would've rushed over to her side if the giant hadn't slammed its face onto the ground and began rushing him. He tried to move out of its way, but the creature was fast, and he was thrown into the air. Landing let out a cry of pain at the fall but, quickly steeling himself, got up and continued to fire his machine pistols at the giant creature. And like all of their attack on it, It bounced harmlessly off its surface. Seeing it focus on another person again, Ren quickly approached Nora's side and tied a makeshift tourniquet around her leg.
(Pyrrha)
Jumping out of the way of the giant's fall, Pyrra jumped on top of it and began stabbing it behind its back. Which prompted it to begin thrashing around to reach for her. But with all her attempts, nothing was happening, and everyone here was growing desperate, especially how easily it was injuring everyone. Quickly getting a glance at the poor girl whose leg was cut off, Pyrrha couldn't help but wince. But with the giant's constant movement and Pyrrha's quick distraction, she fell off. She tried to quickly get up and move, but the giant grabbed her leg. She could only let out a scream as she was brutally slammed onto the floor. Pyrrha was left on the floor writhing in pain. She tried to move but realized quickly: SHE COULDN'T. Pyrrha couldn't move anything, not her arms, legs, or head. She could only move her eyes and breathe.
In the corner of her vision, Pyrrha saw Jaune quickly moving towards her. "Pyrrha! Don't worry, I got you!" Exclaimed Jaune in panicked worry.
"Jaune, Jaune! I can't- I can't feel nothing!" Pyrrha said, fear evident in her voice. "I can't move, Jaune! I think it broke my spine!" Jaune could only stare in disbelief before shaking his head, picking up Pyrrha, and moving her out of harm's way.
"Jaune over here!" Turning, he saw Weiss waving at him to bring Pyrrha. Doing so quickly, he set her neck to the still unconscious Ruby. "What do we do?! That thing isn't taking any damage from our attacks, and it's quickly putting us out of commission!" Wiess stood there trying to devise a plan but quickly got distracted by a scream.
"REN!" Turning, she saw the creature slam itself onto the boy, and she heard a sickening crunch.
"What was that?" Said Pyrrha.
"We gotta get her out of harm's way! Or she'll die too!" Weiss, nodding at Jaune's instruction, began putting a glyph under the giant's feet to hinder its movement. Which worked but caused heavy strain on her.
"Hurry! I'll try to hold it down as long as I can!" Nodding, the boy began rushing over to the orange-haired girl's location.
(Jaune)
As he ran, the giant tried to swipe for him as he got close to Ja, who quickly ducked underneath and over to the girl's side. He quickly saw her but noticed her crawling over to her weapon. Her face was filled with tears, and once she grabbed the hammer/ grenade launcher hybrid, she began shooting it. The giant was soon covered in smoke as the pink grenades exploded, causing it to trip over from the Force. Taking the chance, Jaune went over, picked up Nora, and quickly began running back. But something hit him on the back, causing him to trip and drop the girl. Turning back, he saw small rock flies coming after him. Grabbing his sword, he easily dispatched them. He was about to pick up the girl again but was slapped away by the giant.
Landing roughly onto the floor, Jaune looked up and saw the giant leap into the air as he heard the girl scream. Soon, another sickening crunch, and her screams were quickly silenced. Jaune's eyes opened wide as soon as he heard that. He was beginning to lose it. "I'm going to die here, aren't I?" He begins chuckling a bit in a mad fit as he begins crying. The giant walked over to him and was about to swing its arm to crush him. But something else came into his view and deflected it.
(Daniel)
Right on time! Well barely. Looking back at the counter, I see how much time I had left.

Phew, alright, time to fight this echo!
(GRIME Colors of Rot OST - Giant of Eyes by Alex Roe)
ECHOED GIANT OF EYES(300k/300k)
Readying myself, I charged at the Giant of Eyes as it attempted to punch me again. I deflected its hand, which made it retract violently. But doing so made it open, and it glowed yellow. So, pulling it towards myself, I began swinging my weapon at its head, doing double damage to it. I slashed at it until it raised its head and released a roar, making two rings appear out of its mouth. Blinking through the attack twice, I got through unharmed and continued to swing at it.
Once it got up, it began walking towards me, and I had to back up, or else I'd be stunned by its steps' Force. While harmless to me, it'll leave me open for an attack. Soon, the giant screamed, slammed its face onto the floor, and began charging at me. It glowed red, so I had to avoid this attack, so blinking through it, I stood on the other side of its charge. Once it stopped, it screamed and glowed yellow. But I wasn't close enough to pull it. Running up to it, I began to swing my scythe but was instead hit. Catching me by surprise, I couldn't react to the second punch, which threw me onto a tree.

Jesus, they buffed the damage! Blinking away, I used my breath to heal quickly before it caught up to me.

But the giant used this opportunity to scream and release some burning rock flies. As the flies flew towards me, I had to blink through them and make them crash onto the floor. In my distraction, the giant slammed into me. When did it begin dashing towards me!

Seeing my heal getting low again I had to blink away and heal myself to max. Once done, I threw my scythe at the giant. I got hit by it and tried to slam its hand to crush me, but I deflected it. When my scythe returned, I pulled the giant down and jumped on top of it. I then began slashing at it furiously on its back. The giant thrashed around as it tried to pry me off its back but had trouble. Until it decided to land on its back and knock me off.
Quickly looking at my surroundings, I check on the others and see how they're doing. I saw Weiss and Jaune watching me at a distance, hiding behind some trees. There, I saw Pyrrha and Ruby both lying down flat. Wheres blake? I didn't have time to continue thinking as the giant attacked me. Blinking out of the way and letting it hit my echo, I threw my scythe at it and began throwing bolts of lighting at it. The giant, unconcerned about the damage I was doing to it, continued to walk after me. It wasn't until It reached 0 HP that it did something.
It hunched over, and tons of eyes grew out of its mouth, but at the same time, it pulled out a giant sword. It began twitching sporadically and was faster as it now jumped over to me. Deflecting its jump with my head, it tumbled over and landed flat on the ground, kicking up some dirt. But it got up quickly before raising its sword and screaming. Glowing yellow rocks began floating out from the ground as a giant raised its sword. Soon, they all glowed red, dropped hard on the floor, and exploded. I got hit by the shrapnel of them and ended up getting damaged by them. But the giant continued its assault even more aggressively than its first stage. It jumps towards me and lanes, causing a red beam to shoot out of the floor and spikes. I easily avoided the spikes by the beam, which were the problems as they were always near me.
It's more aggressive and faster than the tutorial world. Plus, it deals more damage. As I blinked around it, trying to make it hit my echos, I tried to form a plan as I was now dealing less damage than I had in its first stage. I could just do the usual and try and keep hitting it with my scythe, but with how much damage it deals, I'll get killed by the end. And my magic barely does anything to it but piss it off. The others can't help me with this, so I'm on my own. As I kept dodging, I managed to get a pull on it before climbing on top of it. Thats it! I struggle to try and get me when I'm on its back. The only way for it to get off me is by releasing that scream. Well, beggars can't be choosers. On its back, I began stabbing my scythes end on the giant's head repeatedly as it tried to pry me off its head. But due to its long arms, I struggled to avoid getting grabbed by it. Soon, it stood up fully and faced upward.
Oh crap, it's going to scream! Jumping off, I Blink out of the way as it screams and releases two green rings. I always had trouble dashing out of these, but with the Blink, I avoided them easily. Throwing my scythe at it, I took out my attuning lantern and began shooting beams at it. Every time the scythe returned, I threw it back at it and continued to shoot it with the beam.
Huh, this is a better idea than climbing on its back.
Duh.
Sush, I ain't no battle expert. I was dealing a lot of damage to it as it tried to either slash me with its sword or jump on me; the echoes ended up dealing more damage. Apparently, the attuning lantern also boosts the damage to the echoed scythe. But something surprised me. When the Giant reached about 10% of its health threshold, it began doing something new. It grabbed its mouth and began screaming; tons of red beams began shooting out of the floor and moving toward me. The giant was also aiming at me and shooting a beam at me. In a panic, I began blinking around a lot, making me use up a lot of my Force, and I could blink for a quick second, leaving me to get hit by a ton of them.

[The Vases] Prevent death by sacrificing filled Breath bars. Revive with 10% HP per Breath bar.
+90.8
|90.8|
Damn, close call. Blinking a good distance, I try to recover at least one bar of breath before I continue my attack. Thankfully, the giant decided to walk over to me rather than jump, so I had time to get the bar back before I went to attack again. Swinging its giant sword, I Blinked through the attack before slashing at its back. I also got hit when I got back. It tried to backhand its sword at me, but I dodged it, thankfully.
Come on, just jew a few more swings, and it's dead. Playing it carefully, I try not to take too many risks so I don't end up dying from it. Once I saw an opening, I took it and swung my scythe at its head. Easily, it connected, and its health soon drops slimmer of health. So, blinking away, It hit my echo, which finally finished the battle.
The giant dropped its sword, which instantly began to be consumed by the earth. Then, the giant grabbed its face and began walking forward while shaking. Tons of beams began exploding from the ground, and I managed to get hit by one. In fact, every time I killed this boss in the tutorial world, it always went out like this. But this time, it was different; it was more intense. In fact, it was affecting the surroundings more and was very close to dying of the radius of these beams. Thankfully, the giant let out one last roar as it was destroyed by its own beams.
Great Prey Crushed+100k Mass
(Music end)
Dropping down to my knees, I let out a mental sigh of relief. I know I've been fighting a lot of times in the Tutorial world. But even then, I'm not used to this. Back in my old life, I was never a fighter, I may have been put into Karate class, but I never liked it. Even now, Fighting feels weird and sluggish. Even if I'm good with my weapon.
[Flaw discovered!]
[Detached] Your fighting sense is terrible, and when in a fight, you may feel either sluggish, make mistakes, or do dumb things.
Oh... Well, I guess that makes sense. Wait, flaw discovered?! I have other flaws?
Yep.
How many?
Four more.
Wait, so I had five hidden flaws and just discovered one!
Yep.
When did I get these?
When you began. So basically, in the tutorial world.
Huh, well, that sucks.
The same goes for perks and buffs.
Wait really!?
Yep, and they go into full effect when discovered. So, since you just discovered your flaw, it is now in full effect.
Boo, oh well. Getting up off the floor, I walked over to the remains of the giant. Some of the small remains began to instantly get sucked into my head, but the larger pieces stayed on the ground. Then rising into the air, I transformed into a bigger version of my black hole head and sucked up all the remains of the giant. Once done, I shake off the euphoria and begin healing myself properly.

... I... Shaking my head, I turned to the rest of the living members of RWBY and JNPR. Weiss and Jaune flinch at me, suddenly facing them, but they raise their weapons at me once I walk closer. Raising my hand, I slowly moved towards my head to get my notebook.
"Don't move!" Yelled Jaune. I stopped before showing with my hands to calm down and hopefully telling them I didn't mean harm. So I began moving my hands again and retrieved my notebook and pen. I then began writing.
'Are there any injured?' Jaune slowly walked towards me to better understand what I wrote. Upon seeing what I had written, he looked up at me suspiciously.
"Why?"
'I can heal wounds; if you have any injured, it would be best for me to take care of them immediately.' Upon reading what I wrote, he moved out of the way and pointed to their hiding area.
"There's two hurt, one with a broken spine and the other concussed." Nodding, I jogged over and passed Weiss, who was looking questionly at Jaune. Seeing both Pyrrha and Ruby still on the floor, they moved quickly to their side. I kneeled next to Pyrrha, who was too close to me, and I began healing her with my magic.
"Uh, hello there." Said Pyrrha hesitently. But I nod at her and continue to keep the healing aura on her.
[Warning] Injury is too high for this spell to heal.
Crap! What do I do!? Think Daniel, think! After a bit, I remembered my other spell, Recess, and I began using that. Thankfully, that was what I needed to heal Pyrrha's injury. I didn't know if I fully healed it, and I kept it on her for a good ten minutes until I was sure. When I went over to Ruby, she was beginning to stir. Still, I healed her wounds, which weren't as grievous as Pyrrha's. Once I finished healing her, Ruby opened her eyes. I backed up and slowly let her get her bearings.
"Ruby!" Exclaimed Weiss, rushing over to her side. "You dolt do you know how hard you made things for me?" While it sounded like she was angry with her, you could clearly hear the worry in her voice.
"I-I'm sorry, I just- Wait, what happened? AND WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?" She exclaimed, pointing at me. At her response, I simply waved at her, unbothered by her yelling. "Wait... wheres Yang?" If I had a face I would've been giving her a look of pity. Thankfully the others did that for me.
(Later)
Releasing a sigh, I can only stare sadly as Ruby is holding her dead sister's body. Her screams and yells of grief weren't doing me any better. I always hated it when family members died on others. It always hit too close to home with me. Sighing, I looked over to Pyrrha, who was now sitting against a tree and looking at Ruby with pity. I apparently didn't manage to heal her spine fully. So, I still had to heal her more. Plus, Ozpin arrived with a bullhead and many teachers who were all taking a look over the other students or carrying the few dead ones.
"Ozpin, you may want to look at this!" yelled one of the teachers. Turning my head in curiosity, I watch Ozpin approach the staff. Curious, I get up and head over to the teacher's location. What I saw would have made me gasp in horror if I could. In front of me was Blake, but she was as good as dead as pink flowers were growing out of her holes. One giant flower was blooming out of her left eye, and many smaller ones were around her body. Stone-like roots were escaping and wriggling out of her mouth, and a giant blood-soaked hole in the middle of her abdomen was a stone-like snake appendage. But just looking at the surroundings and the clawing on the dirt shows that Blake died a painful death. At least she died killing the thing. Behind me, I heard a gasp, and I turned to see Gylnda, who had her hand over her mouth as she saw the now-dead student.
"Do you know what this is, Daniel?" Turning over to Ozpin, I nod. Taking out my notebook, I begin explaining what this thing is that killed Blake.
'It is a Bondling. They're parasites made to drain the life force of a living being. Once they have enough, they change into a floret.' Ozpin nods as he reads the information before sighing.
"It is a shame that these students had to lose their lives to these things. Worst of all, we couldn't do anything to help with that wall blocking us." Sighing again, he begins walking away to take care of other things. I was about to walk away when I saw Glynda still standing there, watching the still form of Blake's corpse. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she snapped out of her trance and turned her head to face me.
'If it helps, she died without a fight. Even though that thing was inside her, she still killed it. I just wish I was faster so I could have saved her.'
[Reputation with Glynda has increased by 15 for trying to comfort her.]
[Glynda's Reputation] (30/100)
Glynda gives me a sad smile before nodding. I then walk off to continue to heal Pyrrha more.
(Three days later)
After a funeral was held for those who passed, I went to Menergerie to break the news to Blake's parents. It was no surprise that Blake's mother broke down into tears as she was held close by her husband. Both of them were devastated by the news, and a week later, Blake's body arrived to be buried. Like the other three, this was just as depressing; it hurt even more when Blake's mother begged me to bring her back. Heal her daughter as I have others. But sadly, I was unable to. After that sad event, things went back to relative normalcy.
I've been grinding to max my weapon smithing for the next few days. I made it to level 75 before quitting that and returning to healing people on Menergerie. But there weren't many people in Vale, so thinking it was a good idea, I began my journey again to reach Atlas. Hopefully, I'll be successful this time.
(Literally three minutes later)
[Challenge world found!]
[STEVEN UNIVERSE!] Do you accept this challenge? (Y/N)
... Huh, what's this?
This is a challenge world. Unlike going into other worlds and staying there forever, challenge worlds are worlds where you are challenged to do something in a set time. They usually last a year, and not all challenge worlds are guaranteed to be good ones. But this is a set one, so you may have a small idea of what it may be.
What's the difference between a set one?
Set ones already tell you what world they'll be in. Normally, they would be question marks and tell you nothing. While the blank ones will be random and have a chance to give you useless challenge worlds. An example would be to search for someone who asked. Or just spend a whole year in the world. And sometimes they won't contain anything useful to gain.
So they can suck.
Yeah basically.
Hmm, well, at least this one won't suck... I think.
Do you want to challenge this? If you do so, this world will be paused like a dungeon. But you may spend a whole year in this challenge world.
Hm... Yeah, sure, why not. So, do I do the same thing as a dungeon portal?
No, you have to pry yourself into this one. Basically, put your hand in it and force yourself into the vortex.
Okay, doing as the system said, I put my hands in the vortex and forced it open. Once it was big enough to fit me, I jumped in it.
