A few weeks later
As time went by, Rita began the debilitating process of divorce. Lynn, being who he was, made the process as long and drawn out as possible.
The custody of the children is a major source of arguments. They went back and forth in court, which required Rita to take extra time off work and find reliable child care.
During their final hearing, Rita didn't hold back; she had already reported Lynn for child support fraud, so now he had to answer for the missing checks.
Their key pieces of evidence were the incriminating videos Lisa and the kids had discovered, as well as the recording from the night Lynn slapped her.
Rita sat with her lawyer while Lori and Leni sat in the front row for visitors. The whole ordeal was stressful, and Rita couldn't bear for any of the younger kids to hear what went on in the courtroom.
Leon had protested originally, and wanted to come as well...
Rita's lawyers, brought up their next exhibit. The smartly dressed women held up the VHS tape that Lisa had burned for the trial.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the court...I have to warn you about the graphic nature of this tape. It would be best for any children to step outside the room", Rita's lawyer addressed the court room.
Lynn looked nervous as he sat next to his own lawyer. He hadn't anticipated Rita finding all the bank records or her reporting him for fraud. His house of cards was coming down, and Lynn wasn't sure he'd have a pot to piss in when everything was over.
Rita was furious, and part of Lynn wished he could take it all back. The sex wasn't worth losing everything. He'd gotten caught up in the lifestyle, the temptation of having everyone and everything he'd ever wanted.
His kids were horrified and Lynn had already lost several friends when they hear about what happened. Lynn's face fell when he saw Howard Mcbride and his husband in the back row, so many mistakes made.
Now he had to face the consequences of his actions, and it was a hard pill to swallow...
The video played, and the judge and jury watched in silence as Lynn and his revolving door of Lovers met in and around the Loud House. However the room erupted when Harold Mcbride stood up and, shouted " I fucking knew it...you bastard Lynn"!
Rita looked on in shock as Harold Mcbride stormed out of the court room with, Howard practically chasing after him crying.
Yet another family ruined by Lynn's selfish actions, Rita's heart broke for Clyde's sake. Leon's best friend was almost as close as family, and this would most likely devastate Clyde.
The jury started mermering amongst themselves, and the Judge reprimand them.
"Silence in the courtroom! Mrs. Allen, I suggest you present your next piece of evidence."
Rita's lawyers smiled sharkishly and proceeded to introduce the box of hidden bank statements. "These are the forms. The state-issued benefits should have been used to improve Leon's life or held until he was of legal age."
The lawyer continued speaking as she showed the judge and the courtroom, receipts and transactions from Lynn's secret account.
Lynn Sr. was sweating bullets and could be seen pulling at the collar of his shirt, with his lawyer looking embarrassed.
"As my client has shown, your honor. If you grant Mr. Loud full custody of the children, there is no assurance that their quality of care will be provided. Mr Loud cannot provide a safe and secure environment. It would be best if the minors remained in the custody of their mother, Rita Loud"...
The judge nodded and spoke clearly, "I have heard enough from both sides. And I am now ready to deliver my verdict..."
Back at the house.
The kids eagerly awaited the return of their mother and two oldest sisters.
Linka was pacing back and forth in the living room while Leon distracted himself by playing with Lilly. Linka was almost worrying a hole in the ground, Leon wouldn't of been surprised to see foot prints at this point.
"Would you sit down, please? Your pacing is making me nervous." Leon said.
Linka turned to face Leon, on the verge of tears"I can't help it. What if mom lose?"
The white-haired girl was practically hyperventilating. Leon patted Linka on the back and tried to comfort her. "Calm down. Breathe. Have faith in mom."
Leon was as worried as his sisters, but he pushed those thoughts aside, as he needed to support his sisters.
The front door suddenly opened and all the loud siblings were all gathered around Rita, Lori and Leni. The older woman let out a long sigh, which the kids took as a defeat and they all lowered their heads.
However, Rita had a bright smile. "Kids, grab your stuff. We're going to Gus's to celebrate!"
The kids cheered as Lori handed Leon the letter containing the court's decision. The younger kids gathered around excitedly as Leon skimmed the paper.
"What does it say, dude?", Luna asked.
"It says that in regards to the custody of the children. Rita Loud, is hereby granted full custody of the Loud children indefinitely"...
The girls shireked with excitement while Leon looked at the paper again.
"Wait...my middle name is Oscar?" Leon asked.
Rita chuckled, reaching for the car keys, "Of course it is silly. It was on your birth certificate. Now let's go kids"...
