McCoy et Spock ont déjà effectué plusieurs missions ensemble, et elles se sont toujours, contre toute attente, plutôt bien déroulées. Il n'y a aucune raison qu'il en aille différemment sur Octantis, petite base scientifique de la Fédération... C'est du moins ce que Jim ne cesse de se répéter, pour se rassurer -jusqu'au jour où les rapports de ses deux officiers cessent brusquement.

After a bizarre accident Jim finds himself in the past and it doesn't take him long to realise that now he can try and save Vulcan! The problem is, nobody believes a word he says and time is starting to run out.

As children, Jim and Spock promised they would get married when they grew up. Jim thought it was just a silly joke between kids. When they meet again upon the Enterprise, Spock still expects Jim to fulfill that promise. K/S. Slash. COMPLETE.
