A day after his disappearance, Ben reappeared in a big way. He appears in every town in the Alvarez Empire and even the surrounding countries in Alakistia. Massive screens suddenly appeared above these towns, so everyone there can see them.
It even appeared above Vistarion, so Zeref and the Spriggan 12 can see it. Mest placed the broadcast devices in every town yesterday while Ben fought the Spriggan 12. As for the one above Vistarion, he installed it himself.
Ben was currently in his hideout that looked like a TV studio while facing cameras. He looked like a news anchor with his suit, slicked back hair and the news studio setup. Even the background is similar to a modern news studio on Earth.
"Morning, people of the Alvarez Empire and surrounding countries." Ben said, gathering everyone's attention.
"This is Ben Cooper talking. I'm a mage from Ishgar who came here in response to the Alvarez Empire's declaration of war. This broadcast is a warning to every citizen in this empire and the surrounding countries. If you don't want to get caught up in this war, then I would advise you to leave immediately. I have attacked Vistarion to show you what kind of destruction will occur during this war." He explained, showing them pictures of Vistarion's current state.
"I attacked this place alone yesterday and caused a lot of destruction even against your strongest forces, the Spriggan 12. This will only escalate, so you better get away because even your Spriggan 12 and emperor can't protect you from the effects of this war."
"3 days. That's how much time you have before I launch another attack. If you're still here, don't blame me if you die during this war. As for you Zeref and the Spriggan 12, you better prepare for my next attack. And if you are thinking of finding me, you better stop, you'll never succeed." Ben said before ending the broadcast.
It was a brief broadcast, but it left a big impact, especially because Ben showed them the state of Vistarion. Most people don't know Ben, but if he could destroy half of Vistarion alone, that means he is as strong or even stronger than their Spriggan 12.
As much as they trust their general, the citizens were still afraid of death. They don't have enough power to protect themselves against a normal mage. So they don't know how they'll survive if a mage of Ben's level starts to attack.
People were panicking after Ben's declaration of war. They want to get as far away as they possibly can. The soldiers try to stop them because as a military empire, even the citizens were obligated to protect their empire.
But then Zeref sent an order to let anyone who wishes to leave to do so. They don't need to assist the people, just let everyone do what they want. He wanted his soldiers to focus on preparing for the war because this won't be easy even if they just fought one man.
Over the next 3 days, a lot of people fled to other nations. Some stay in their homes because they trust their emperor and the Spriggan 12 while others stay because they don't think they will be safe even in other nations.
Then after 3 days, Ben finally started his attack on the Alvarez Empire. He attacked Vistarion again which was now full of soldiers. Millions of soldiers who are mostly mages are gathering in Vistarion to fight Ben.
Unlike his first attack 4 days ago, Ben walked towards Vistarion. He walked alone without any rush towards Vistarion's west gate which was guarded by August, Brandish and Bloodman. Then as soon as Ben appeared there, August called the other members of the Spriggan 12 to move their troops here.
"How high do you think our chance is?" Brandish asked August.
"Very slim, just like His Majesty said. It will be even slimmer if Acnologia really appeared as predicted. We must follow that plan well to win this war, that's the only way." August answered.
"Then let's start it." Bloodman said, preparing his Curse.
Bloodman swiped his hands in Ben's direction and suddenly numerous explosions go off around Ben. It was the Bomb Curse that Jackal used. Bloodman can use all the Curses that were used by the Nine Demon Gates easily.
But just like before, Ben came out of the explosion unscathed. Fire based magic won't affect Ben and the same thing applies to Curses. Bloodman had been told not to use it, but he was curious, so he tried it.
"Well, it was worth a try. Now for the real attack." Bloodman said as he raised his arms.
A massive amount of black water suddenly appeared on the barren land and moved towards Ben like a tsunami. Ben looked at it impressed while continuing to walk towards it. He's just impressed, not scared even though he knew it was very poisonous water.
The poisonous tsunami engulfed Ben and Bloodman compressed it to crush him. Suddenly a bright red dot appeared inside the black water. A dark red beam pierced it and came towards the soldiers.
August pointed his staff at the incoming beam, producing explosions to stop the beam. It kept coming though, so August continued generating explosions. The beam was finally stopped a few meters away from the soldiers.
"I should've used another spell." August said, rubbing his chin.
"NO SHIT, OLD MAN! YOU ALMOST KILLED THOSE GUYS AND INJURED US!" Bloodman angrily shouted.
"Stop it." Brandish instructed. "He's coming."
They all look at Ben who continued walking at his current pace. There weren't any signs of injury or worry on his face even after receiving that attack.
"Of course. The man that eradicated Tartaros wouldn't have a problem facing their curses." Irene said after suddenly appearing there.
Irene wasn't the only one coming, the other members of the Spriggan 12 and their troops also arrived. They were teleported there by Irene after August informed them about Ben's appearance at the west gate. So now, millions of troops were there to face Ben.
"Quite a nice welcoming party you have for me. I feel honored." Ben grinned.
"This will be your funeral, you bastard." A pissed off Ajeel said.
"Oh, I don't know about that. The last funeral I went to didn't have this many people attending it. Although those people had the same angry expressions on their faces that you guys have right now." Ben said as he continued walking.
Everyone else was confused by that statement, but they don't mind it too much because it might be him mocking them. The most important thing is that they will face this fearless man who kept walking towards them as if it's just a everyday event. His confidence alone was enough to overwhelm the soldiers' emotions.
They all feel a strong pressure simply staring at Ben's eyes. It's not just the soldiers, even the Spriggan 12 felt that pressure. It's a pressure people will feel when they face a king or emperor. Ben has that majestic aura that came from his magic's legacies.
Even without him using that aura to suppress them, they already feel pressured by it. Furthermore, what he did 4 days ago was etched into their minds. The soldiers became a lot more nervous with every step he takes.
"Shouldn't we attack him now?" Irene asked, snapping the other members of the Spriggan 12 out of their dazes.
August embedded his staff into the ground and a big black magic circle appeared in the air.
Then he said, "Soldiers, pour all your magic power into the magic circle!"
With his order, the soldiers send their magic power towards the black magic circle. Ben can feel the power that was accumulated in the magic circle increase. He was very excited to know how strong the attack will be.
"Dark Rain!" August chanted, causing the magic circle to become completely black.
Numerous black lances come out of the black magic circle and fly towards Ben. There are so many of them that fall towards Ben that it really looked like rain. Ben just stood there calmly before he coated his hands in golden solar energy.
"Larcade!" August called.
Larcade moved forward and pointed his right palm at Ben before chanting. "R.I.P."
An array of beams hit Ben who didn't even bother to dodge. He suddenly felt very drowsy, then the golden fire around his hands disappeared as his hands drop. His head also dropped while his eyes were closing. He fell on his knees as he instantly passed out.
Larcade and the other members of the Spriggan 12 were excited to know that the R.I.P spell worked. Now Ben won't be able to evade or stop the black lances from skewering him. Then they see the black lances fall onto Ben mercilessly.
