"Did we get him?" Bloodman asked after seeing the black lances fall on Ben's body.
There is only a field full of black lances on the spot where Ben stood. They can't see anything because the black lances obstruct their view. Seeing the number of black lances, they were sure Ben had been skewered by those.
"Of course. He won't be able to defend himself from that." Ajeel confidently said.
But their faces instantly stiffen when they hear cracking sounds. Many black lances on a straight path towards Vistarion were suddenly crushed on the ground. A clear path appeared and Ben can be seen smugly sitting on the ground without any black lance on his body.
None of the black lances skewered him. Instead they stabbed the ground around him. He used his Gravity Magic to repel the black lances that almost hit him. As for the R.I.P spell that Larcade used, it didn't affect him.
Ben is immune to mind controlling magic, so he could resist that spell. He just played along to give them some false hope. If there is anything that can describe how evil Ben is, his hobby giving his enemies false hope before crushing them would be one.
"Nice try people, but you don't know me at all. I have no idea if you don't know or are just underestimating me, but those kinds of attacks will just waste your magic power instead of hurt me. Although those black lances are quite interesting. It looks quite similar to my spell a few days ago. Or maybe you made it based on that." Ben said as he stood up.
He walked through the path he made between the black lances. Ben enjoyed his walk that looks like a badass overpowered main character walk. Even at his current level, walking alone towards millions of enemies still felt very thrilling.
"You have attacked me a few times, so it's my turn now, right?" Ben asked before snapping his fingers.
A pair of black and gold magic circles appear on his left and right. They rotate in different directions and keep following him as he walked.
Ben grinned and simply chanted, "Bombardment!"
Right after he chanted that, the 2 magic circles shoot black and gold light beams rapidly. It's like Ben was firing Gatling guns at his enemies using big-ass explosive beams as bullets. The magic circles move around to target all of the enemies.
The Spriggan 12 are blocking his attacks using their magic though because they can't lose their men this fast. Ben didn't care that they blocked his attacks. He doesn't even use more power because what he did right now was terrorize his enemies using these strong and rapid attacks.
Even if the Spriggan 12 weren't intimidated, the soldiers were terrified. They are seeing explosions above their heads that didn't stop. Those explosions were caused by one man, but it took all of the Spriggan 12 to defend against them.
"Invel!" Irene shouted.
Invel Yura nodded before extending his right hand towards Ben. Suddenly, the ground froze and the ice moved towards Ben at high speed. Instead of freezing Ben's attacks, Invel chose to attack him from the ground, avoiding the massive bullets comprised of solar energy.
His ice reached Ben's location and Invel tried to freeze him. Ben just grinned and released heat hot enough to prevent Invel's ice from reaching him. Ben kept walking while releasing the heat and he melted the ice as he walked.
Even the ground was melting and turning into lava because the heat was so intense. Natsu's entrance during the Grand Magic Games can't be compared to this. Ben can turn this entire area into lava, but he held back because he wanted to have fun.
Invel gritted his teeth as he continued trying to freeze Ben, to no avail. He also tries another spell that put a ice collar on Ben's neck. That spell also broke before reaching him because of the heat he's releasing.
So Invel changed his target towards the 2 black and gold magic circles besides Ben. However they were still protected by Ben's heat, so he can only freeze the bullets. Even so, the frozen bullets will still fly towards them and they can still explode because they weren't completely frozen.
The explosions were weaker though, so Invel's attack wasn't useless even though it didn't completely stop Ben's attack. He was very frustrated though because it's the first time someone can easily counter his Ice Magic.
Ben kept walking without any concern, but then the ground around him suddenly moved. The ground on his left and right suddenly raised up, forming massive walls. Then suddenly both massive walls collide with Ben in the middle, causing a large impact.
Irene was the one moving the ground through her Enchantments. August added to the attack by compressing the massive merged wall to become smaller and smaller until it turned into a small mountain. Both of them made sure Ben didn't escape like he did 4 days ago.
It seemed this combination wasn't enough for August because he then made the compressed mountain explode. This explosion can't be compared to Neinhart's blast because this one was massive. It could destroy Vistarion if August increased the range.
It's an Earth Magic explosion, so Ben should have taken damage. August had calculated many things, so he was certain that this would work. But sometimes, even a mage of his caliber can make errors with his judgment.
Ben appeared in his initial spot without any injury. He floated above the massive crater left by August's explosion Around Ben are black, red and gold magic circles, 2 of each color that face each other that are shaped like a cube that encased Ben like a box.
These magic circles shielded Ben from their continuous attacks. He made them to melt Irene's earth walls that collided with him. They protected him when August compressed the walls and caused the massive explosion.
"That was a nice combination. Now try mine." Ben said, extending his hands forward.
The 6 magic circles fly in front of him and make a circle formation that faced the enemies. They flow and form a small black-red-gold ball of solar energy in the middle. Ben grinned before he punched the ball of energy, making it crack and explode.
"Evil Dragon God Madness: Great Annihilation!"
A spiral black-red-gold beam of solar energy came out of the explosion and sped towards the millions of Alvarez troops. It kept getting bigger and bigger as it got closer to Ben's enemies. The beam destroyed the ground as it moved forward and the millions of people look very small compared to it.
The Spriggan 12 didn't have any choice but to block this attack with all their power now. It wasn't just their men that were in danger, they were as well. If they hold back, they won't be able to block the massive attack.
Irene boosted all of the Spriggan 12's magic power to block this attack. Then they use their magic to create layers of shields. The average mages also help create shields even though theirs were weak, but every little bit counts.
Ajeel made a very thick and tall sand dome, then Invel formed a thick layer of ice in front of the sand dome. Neinhart made a wind shield in front of the thick ice. Bloodman released numerous thorny vines using Mard Geer's Curse behind the sand dome.
The 2 new members of the Spriggan 12 that haven't revealed themselves because they were wearing hoods finally show themselves. Surprisingly, it was God Serena and Jacob who were revived by Neinhart's Historia of the Dead and enhanced by Zeref's Black Arts.
Zombie God Serena, who has bad blood with Ben, created eight layers of the shield using his eight Dragon Slayer Magics behind the thorny vines. He still had his Dragon Slayer Magic even though the dragon lacrimas were no longer in his body. The magic had been coursing through his veins, so it didn't leave his body.
As for Jacob, he made a space shield behind God Serena's eight dragon shields. He learned some new Space Magic just to face Ben because he wanted to get his revenge. Although his chance is slim because he's weaker now compared to when he was alive. God Serena was as well, so they will gladly help the others if it meant they can kill Ben.
Wall then encased the layers of shields using his electricity. Larcade covered the layers of shields with his White Arts. August also covered the shields with strong Barrier Magic that can block powerful attacks.
The shields were already massive, but Brandish increased their size with her magic. Lastly, Irene used an Enchantment to strengthen the shields. This is the strongest defense ever forged in the history of the Alvarez Empire.
Ben's attack hit the layers of shields and a massive black was caused by the clash. The shock wave and impact even reached towns that were far away from Vistarion. The clashing sound can be heard from Vistarion and the surrounding towns.
That's just how strong the clash was and it continued. Zeref, who was watching from his castle, frowned after witnessing the clash. "So that's your plan, huh, Ben? You really are a few steps ahead. But I don't know if you made the correct choice or not. Do you really want this to be a three-sided war by yourself, you crazy madman?"
