The reality hopping duplicates of Xander and Cordelia had just left and Xander went looking for Willow.
"How much of the last several years of you controlling us was you and how much was Dark Willow?" He asked.
"I don't know." She answered. "She's been in my head for so long that I don't know where she ends and I begin. She needed the Magic and she wanted me to use it. Alot. And I liked using it. I liked having power and I liked being in control."
"Control over other people, you mean."
"Yes or maybe she liked it. I don't know. I knew she was there, a voice whispering in the back of my head for a long time. And then Tara was murdered and Dark Willow came out and I was so scared. You made her go back into my head and I locked her up. I thought she'd been locked up tight. No more whispers in the back of my head. Turns out, that's because she'd figured out how to get out on her own."
"Like Glory got out of Ben sometimes. And now she's back inside your head. We need to figure out exactly what she is and how to get rid of her. I don't like what you've done Willow. You controlled us, you mind raped us over and over again. You made up flimsy excuses to justify your behavior. And I don't think blaming Dark Willow for all of it is going to work. You didn't have to listen to her after all. You could have told us at any time about her. Did it ever occur to you to do that?"
"No, I thought of her as my problem."
"No, you thought of her as your excuse. We're going to find out if you're a mutant too, Willow. Or if you're possessed or if Giles is right and you have a split personality. If you're possessed, we'll excise it. If you have a split personality, we'll get you help. If you're a mutant, we'll figure out how to control your ability. But I want you to know, we're done. Our friendship is over. Hell, we don't have a friendship. If we did, you'd never have tried to control me. You did that because you think you're better then me. You've ruined lives, Willow. Mine, Cordy's, Faith's, Buffy's, Anya's. All of us are suffering because of your choices. Dark Willow didn't keep you from telling us about her, that was your choice. Dark Willow didn't force you to listen to her. That was your choice. And now that your power has been stripped, the rest of us are finally free to make our own choices. We'll get you the help you need and then we go our separate ways. Unless it's an emergency, you never contact me again. Understand me, Willow?"
"Yes, I understand." Tears clogged her voice but Xander was unswayed by them. He hardened his heart and turned away from his oldest friend.
"I'm sorry." She whispered to his retreating back.
"Too little, too late." He answered. He went looking for his Cordelia.
"How are you doing?" He asked.
"Trying to wrap my head around the fact that nothing in the last four years would have happened if Willow hadn't interfered in our lives. The demon pregnancy. The visions, being possessed. Being forced to conceive a host for the thing possessing me. What exactly is wrong with her?"
"I don't know. We need to go to the Xavier Institute for testing. I want you to come with. Let me try to help you deal with everything that's happened to you, please."
"Wesley thinks I'm going to kill myself. Do you?"
"No. You're Cordelia Chase, you don't let anything stop you. You'll fight your way back from this too. I love you and I want to help you, but only if you want me to. I won't force anything on you."
"Willow's done enough forcing. So I had a question. Anya and I seem to have a few things in common. And I heard her and other Cordelia talking. Willow tried to drive her away too, but apparently never used Magic to do it. Why?"
"Because Willow hated you and just disliked Anya. And Anya kept me distracted from thinking about you. And she had enough other reasons to use Magic. And because Anya knows Magic too, she was a witch before she was a demon, after all. She'd once mentioned she had protections on herself."
"You sound sure about all that."
"I am. Besides, by the time Willow started using Magic to control people, she'd lost interest in me as a potential boyfriend and just wanted me to do things her way, because she thought her way was better."
"I hate her."
"Join the club, it's a fast growing one. Much faster then the We Hate Cordelia Club, which was basically her even if she did assign positions to me and Jesse as well."
"Figures. Well, I'm ready to go any time you are."
"So you've decided to come with?"
"For me too, not just to support you. It's occured to me, maybe I'm not part demon, maybe I'm a mutant too. It's a question that should be checked."
"Absolutely." Xander agreed.
