A/N Someone commented that Willow is overpowered. No, everything Willow did in this fic is something she displayed an ability for on the show as well. In season four her 'my will be done spell' allowed her to make a statement and it would happen, i.e. Buffy engaged to Spike, Xander a demon magnet, Giles going blind. Memory erasure spells, two examples used by Willow on the show, tabula rasa spell and Lethe bramble spell, mind control in season six by commanding a cop to sleep and in season seven by making a cop believe she and Giles worked for Interpol. And in the case of the 'my will be done spell' she didn't even know she was effecting the others. Those are canonical examples of Willow doing the same kind of things she's done in this fic. And as early as season three saw examples of her willingness to use Magic on others without their knowledge or consent, a protection spell on Buffy for her birthday and the anti lust spell on Xander during the Fluke. So Willow is both capable and willing to do the kinds of things she's done in this fic. The 'my will be done spell' is also an example of when her emotions can cause an effect without her knowing it, as they did in several instances in this fic as well.

And for the record, my research says that Charles Xavier can do things like control people and erase memories telepathically and he's not even the most powerful telepath, Jean is. Now we're going to get to our Sunnydalers going to the Xavier Institute.

Giles entered the living room and saw Xander and Cordelia talking and approached them. "Faith is out searching for Bringers or possibly faux Bringers. We know there are a few in town. Once she's located one I'll determine if they're able to be helped. Given that whether they are the real deal or not, their eyes and tongues have been removed, that will include medical attention."

"Dark Willow souped up Caleb, the guy who nearly gouged my eye out." Xander said. "How do you think she was able to do that?"

"Some mutants can give power to others, while other mutants can take power. It's entirely possible Caleb was actually a mutant himself and Dark Willow controlled him. Given that whenever Dark Willow separated from Willow, Willow herself retained no memory of Dark Willow's action, that may not be a question with an answer. He might have an x-gene, but not all mutants do. If the Watchers Council hadn't been blown up, they could have helped us investigate and find out."

"Do you know if the people at the Xavier Institute are aware of the supernatural, Giles?" Xander asked.

"Oh yes, most definitely. The Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, for example, is an actual witch. She has inherited magical abilities as well as being a mutant. And the X-Men for example, have dealt with demonic threats."

"Then they may be able to help us here too. Giles, the Watchers Council is gone and with them the control they had over Slayers and Potentials. But Potentials still need to be found and prepared for the possibility that they might be Called. I suggest asking them for help."

"You mean me?"

"How many actual Watchers are left, Giles? You said Watchers and Potentials were being killed. Rebuilding is going to be difficult, but they have resources that can help with that. And they're a Hell of a lot more up to date then the Watchers Council ever was."

"Quite true. I will give your suggestion some thought. Xander, I'm sorry I didn't see how Willow was controlling you."

"Giles, I'm pretty sure at one point or another, she did something to all of us. You already know she did stuff to Faith and Cordelia, she confessed to it while our dups were here. I was telling Cordelia that Anya had protections on herself, but you and Buffy didn't, as far as I know."

"No, we didn't. It seems I must question Willow to learn the full extent of her activities." Giles said grimly. "Her addiction to Magic began much sooner then we realized."

"Some people can hide a problem very well, until they no longer can. Functional addicts, I think they're called or something like that. They only drink or shoot up on a schedule which proves to them that they're in control."

"Unfortunately true." Giles agreed. "So when will you be departing for the Institute?"

"Today. Cordelia just said she's ready anytime. Willow's been living here at Buffy's since Joyce died, so her packing a suitcase won't be hard and then we can swing by my place and I can get packed. We should be able to get a flight even last minute, although we may have to fly out from Los Angeles. I'll check online for flights."

"Can you afford it, Xander?" Cordelia asked. "We could always drive."

"I'm the only one here with an actual job. Youngest foreman in the history of S & C Construction. I own my apartment and Anya invests for me, even after we broke up because she loves money. How do you think I managed to rebuild this place every time a demon breaks in? It's not like Buffy can afford it. Plus Giles hired me to fix up his store when he first bought it and to rebuild it after Willow destroyed it."

"I hadn't realized you were doing that well." Giles commented. "But then you never mentioned it either."

"No, Anya's the one who likes to talk about money."

"Something else we have in common." Cordelia added.
