A/N The guy I've chosen as Xander's other genetic father is currently dead. My research shows that in the comics he died and came back a couple of times, but right now, he's dead and staying dead. His biography is taken from Wikipedia. It was a deliberate choice as this biography has some similarities to this Xander's history, just Logan has dome similarities as well.

"Okay, that's an interesting way to start a conversation." Xander observed. "Kinda ominous as well. Go ahead, I can take it."

"First, we need to conference Cordelia in on a call as it involves her as well. So why don't we go to the study and call her."

"Fine by me." Xander agreed as he followed Jean and Emma into the study where Jean called Cordelia at work.

"Cordelia, we're in a conference call here." Jean told her. "Emma, myself and Xander. If you desire privacy on your end, you should do so now."

"It's okay, go ahead."

"Well, we wanted to let you both know that we've identified three of Harmony Kendall's genetic parents."

"Okay, that's all well and good, but what does it have to do with us?" Xander asked, feeling a knot in his gut because he wasn't sure he was going to like the answer.

"Well, one of her genetic mothers is me." Emma said. "I'm kicking myself for not considering the possibility that these doctors would be interested in my DNA as well, given we all know they got ahold of several Omega class mutants DNA."

"Which is something for Emma to deal with." Jean said. "It's what else we found that involves the two of you. Cordelia, Alison Blair is Harmony's other genetic mother. Which means you and she were sisters. Half sisters, sort of, anyway."

"Oh, wow. Okay, that one's going to be a doozy to think about. I knew Harmony from about the third grade on. She was one of the acceptable kids for me to be friends with." Cordelia said. "And I should've dusted the vampire wearing her face long ago, but it just wasn't that easy."

"Yeah." Xander said. "Dusting Jesse was half accident and I know dusting Angelus wasn't something Buffy could handle doing. We were just arguing about her relationship with Angel and I was telling her it was a train wreck waiting to happen. Curse or no curse, soul or no soul, he was still a vampire and dusting them is so much easier if you don't know who they were before a demon took up residence in their dead body. And Jesse was just the first vampire wearing the face of someone I knew that I dusted. And the only one I loved. He was as much my brother as Matt."

"Which makes two brothers who's loss you have to deal with." Jean said sympathetically.

"So am I right in thinking you wanted me here because Harm and I were also related?" Xander asked. "That week at the Institute you told Cordy and me that we weren't related and I know who both of my genetic mothers are and Logan was identified as one of my genetic father, so that leaves my other genetic father."

"Yes. Xander, have you ever had any instances that involve fire?" Jean asked.

"Aside from the house next door catching fire back when I wanted to be a firefighter and me thinking Willow set it so I could see real fire trucks, the only instance is when I read a spell to create fire out loud and set the book on fire. I didn't expect it to happen. Willow had just explained to Riley, Buffy's boyfriend at the time that casting spells takes concentration and focus. I was trying to demonstrate that you can't just read a spell and have it work. And then it did. Giles told me not to speak Latin front of the books anymore."

"Yet another instance where he should have followed up and didn't." Jean muttered, annoyed.

"You're telling me it wasn't me accidentally doing Magic?" Xander asked.

"I don't think so." Jean told him. "You and Harmony have a genetic father in common, which makes her your half sister as well."

"And this person is?"

"His name was Rusty Collins and he's dead. Not vampire dead, dead dead." Emma told him.

"How did he die?"

"His life force was drained. He experienced a number of difficult things from being kidnapped by Friends of Humanity, to being brainwashed. He was also in the Navy at one time. His mutant power was pyromancy. His ability was psionic based, like Domino's probability manipulation. Which means he could create and control fire and was immune to being burned by it."

"So it might not have been the spell, just me accidentally doing it."

"Which could have become something much worse, Xander. Rusty had trouble when his ability first manifested and he accidentally injured a woman. He was still in the Navy at the time and the incident haunted him. He was even willing to bargain with another mutant to get help for her at his own expense and willingly spent time in prison for it."

"Yeah and if I'd known I was a mutant and could do things like make fire I could have done more against vampires as well. Willow really screwed me over and I'd have hated myself if I'd hurt someone with it. I feel bad enough over the Hyena and I had no control there. Well, something else for me to figure out how to control."
