Jean and Emma left and Xander and Cordelia continued discussing the lastest bombshell.
"Technically speaking, Harmony was related to both of us." Cordelia said. "Even though she was part of the Cordettes it was mostly because I was expected to be friends with her. But I didn't hate her or anything and she deserved better then being vamped."
"Although being vamped did make her nicer, which was weird." Xander said. "I've encountered alot of vampires over the last seven years and not one of them could be considered nice. On the other hand, Harmony was sired under unusual conditions. There was a whole lot of Magic going on with the Mayor transforming and everything, it may have had an effect."
"I kinda miss the Harmony I knew, but dusting her was the right thing to do. If Angel ever loses the soul again I'm not hesitating in incinerating him with my light power."
"If I do it, Buffy will just accuse me of jealousy again."
"Again?"
"Yeah, Emma has her studying the Watchers Chronicles and learning what they knew about who he was as a human and who Angelus was. I told her it was about time she learned something about the guy she thinks is her soulmate and she accused me of being jealous. I reminded her that I was never jealous of any of her human boyfriends and was even friends with Riley. In fact I argued on his behalf when they were breaking up and she had no clue why he was resentful and just ready to chuck it all."
"He did cheat."
"Yeah, that he shouldn't have done, I don't blame her for being mad about that. It just, I feel like I can predict the outcome of her relationships and it always comes as a total shock to her. She gets involved with a vampire under a curse, how is that not going to end badly. She treats her human boyfriend like a blow up doll, while he gives her his heart and wants to plan a future with her and then he finds out she's got some weird fixation on vampires, this was just after we met one calling himself Dracula that mesmerized her for a time and he wants to understand why, what the attraction is for her and went about trying to figure it out in the wrong way. But I could still see the relationship was not going to last because she gave nothing of any importance to it, while he gave everything of importance to it."
"I'm not sure Buffy has any real understanding of what a relationship is. You and I were always very physical but we talked about everything. Which I used against you when we broke up."
"Well, you were hurt and pissed. I understand that and if Buffy thinks about it, how I acted after we broke was definitely jealous. Especially after Wesley showed up and you started flirting with him. I could understand that too, you wanted to feel better about yourself and he made you feel better. Didn't change the fact that he should have known better. You were barely eighteen and he's more then a decade older then you."
"We had one kiss and he kissed like a cold, dead fish. And I'm well aware of the fact that you were jealous, and I know you checked to see if I noticed Lissette Torchio was interested in both you and that really nice car you were driving around. Whatever happened to that car anyway? It really was nice."
"I had to give it back to Uncle Rory when he got his license back. It's only been a couple days since you headed back to Los Angeles Cordy and I already miss you."
"I miss you too, Doofus."
The two continued to chat for awhile longer before hanging up and Xander returned to putting furniture and Cordelia to her work.
Emma stopped to talk to Buffy before heading out herself.
"Buffy, Jean and I heard you and Xander arguing and I had a thought about something else."
"About him judging my relationships?"
"No and I don't think he was doing that. No, my thought has to do with the fact that you've had sex with two vampires."
"Yes, I have. I love Angel and I cared about Spike. Angel and I can't be together and Robin killed Spike. It was my choice and I don't regret it."
"You might reconsider that after I tell you my thoughts. Dead bodies, including vampires, carry diseases. Including STD's and in the case of vampires, they're immune, but humans aren't. I suggest you get tested, especially in light of the fact that as a Slayer, your reactions, as we've already discussed, to medications and illness is different then a normal human's would be. Jean can run the tests for you and be discrete about it. Think about it and if any of your human boyfriends that you've had sex with matter at all to you, notify them of the results as soon as you know." And Emma left a stunned Buffy to think about something else she'd never before considered.
