The next day, Optimus headed to his office while Mirage headed out to pick up the little ones. Hide stayed with Optimus, no one likely aware that Hide was there for more than protecting Optimus. Optimus felt better knowing that for all intents and purposes, the Prime looked like he was back in charge and healthy. Many bots greeted Optimus and Hide as they made their way to the Prime's office. Optimus greeted each bot though Hide didn't, which most bots knew was par for the course. Soon enough, Optimus was in his office working hard while Hide kept an optic on the bot.
Meanwhile, Mirage carefully went around and gathered all their young ones. Some were eager to come while others were sad to be leaving the home that they had stayed at. Mirage gently reminded those ones that they need to come home and they could visit another time, which worked with the resistant young ones. Soon, they all headed for home.
After the young ones left, Bee called on a favor from Windcharger, asking the bot to watch the triplet femmes bee and his mate had. Seeing that Bee had recently watched Aeon and Sage, windcharger and his mate agreed to watch the precious femmes. Bee brought the little ones over. "Thank you for watching them. Today is our bonding anniversary and I wanted to do something special for my mate" Bee explained. Charger nodded, as he had done much the same when He and his mate Pogo celebrated their bonding anniversary.
Grateful for the babysitting services, Bee headed for home, knowing Jumper would worry if Jumper came home and no one was in The quarters. Thankfully, Bee made it back before Jumper returned from visiting another bot. Soon enough, Jumper arrived home, but he was worried about how quiet it was. "Fear not, my love. They are safe. Charger and his family is watching them. I wanted to spend time with you as today is the day we bonded" Bee quickly and carefully explained.
Jumper was stunned. "You did this…for me?" Jumper asked, stunned yet happy.
"Yes, my love. It is time for us to have time for us" Bee stated, hugging his mate tightly. Jumper hugged back with equal enthusiasm. This was such a wonderful thing and very much needed. They shared time with energon, chatting and even a session of adult fun where they released their sparks to strengthen their bond. Little did they realize that through that, Bee became sparked, but at the time, neither cared as this time was precious time for them to share, just the two of them. But soon, they would learn that there was more going on than they realized.
