Opera wasn't able to find a uniform in black right that moment, but he did find one in a fetching cream color that Ichigo liked just as much. So, once she had it, she quickly put it on. After which Opera managed to convince her to let him style her hair for her since she had been growing it out long for a while now. And its length now reached a bit past the bottle of her shoulder blades.

So, here she was...just a bit later, dressed in her new uniform with her hair pulled up into a high ponytail with some of the hair from her temples hanging over her shoulders prettily framing her face, completely ready for her first day at her new school.

The second that her grandpa saw her he burst into tears while simultaneously snapping pictures of her from every angle while she tried not to cringe at his embarrassing antics. While Opera went to fetch something outside.

"You look so cute!" Sullivan squealed in the same fan-girlish fashion that Ichigo was going to have to get used to. "I thought that the other uniform would look good on you, but this one is much better. You look so grown up and pretty!" He said excitedly before finally stopping what he was doing.

Thankfully, his tears dried up instantly and he seemed to return to his senses. For which Ichigo was eternally grateful for as they went outside where she saw a big, old-fashioned gold and red carriage attached to a couple of large stallions covered in gleaming metal armor.

"Uh..." She said in vague alarm, not knowing what else to say as Opera jumped down from the front of the carriage and made his way over to she and her grandpa.

"The carriage is ready, sir." He said politely before then turning to her and smiling kindly and saying, "Those clothes suite you, my lady. I'm sure that you will have many admirers before the end of the day."

"Huh?" She said again, her mind still desperately trying to catch up as Opera then reached out and spun her around so that he could maneuver her over to a wooden sign of some kind and then positioned her just a little off to the side of it and told her to smile.

She did so on reflex since being told what to do kind of reminded her of her younger sister Yuzu when she was pissed at her. And she'd learned long ago to avoid Yuzu's wrath at all costs.

So, she smiled and had some more pictures taken of her. Only her grandpa joined her in these pictures and then once the pictures were done being taken, Opera walked over to her and scooped her up in his arms- because her brain still hadn't caught up with everything yet- and then carried her towards the carriage, after which he gently placed her inside of it.

They were off as soon as her grandpa joined her in the carriage, which was right about the time that the lag in information finally caught up to her. She could feel a headache coming on from it, but refused to mention it since it may worry her grandpa or Opera.

Besides, she wasn't even at the school yet and she didn't want to look weak to them because of something so silly.

"Isn't this fun, Granddaughter?" Her grandpa said in an excited tone.

"Y-Yeah. I've never ridden in a carriage before." She replied awkwardly, not wanting her grandpa to know just how embarrassed and overwhelmed she was feeling at the moment.

"From now on you can take the carriage to and from school every day if you like." Sullivan said as he began to daydream about her riding in the carriage.

Ichigo watched him for as long as she could stand to before deciding to stop him from thinking up anything crazier since she was doubtful that she would like whatever he was thinking. Especially since his face was blushing and he kept giggling and squealing to himself at an alarming rate.

"Hey, grandpa." She said loudly enough to get his attention, but not loudly enough to be shouting. "What will you do while I'm at school? Do you have any hobbies?" She asked, hoping to get him to return to normal.

It worked given the way that he quickly snapped to attention and cleared his throat.

"Oh, well yes. But I also work. You see, I'm the principal of Babyls-"

"Oh, that's right." She said as she recalled that he had mentioned something along those lines last night when he'd been talking to her about school.

It must have slipped her mind because of her disdain of the pink monstrosity that he'd wanted her to wear out in public. Either that or she had simply forgotten because of stress.

"Do you like working as the principal of the school?"

He chuckled at her and suddenly reached out and ruffled her hair affectionately before responding by saying. "Indeed, I do. I've always been fond of children. And helping to shape the future of the Netherworld's children has always been something of a hobby of mine. So, I made it my job since I like it so much."

"I see."

"What about you?"

"Me?"

"Yes," He said as he leaned forward a bit in his seat so that he was slightly in her personal space. "I know that it takes time to adjust to new things. Especially for someone raised as a human by humans. But...I also want to know more about you. Your likes, dislikes, your favorite things- hobbies, colors, foods. etc."

"Oh, right. Okay, well I've always liked cooking. In fact, after my mom passed away when I was younger, I took up the task of making sure that my dad and sisters didn't die of starvation. Mom left a bunch of food recipes for me and my sisters. So, I memorized them and have been making use of them whenever I cook. I also like music, dancing, playing the piano, reading, games, poetry and art. My favorite colors are blue and purple. My favorite food is my mom's curry. But I'll honestly eat pretty much anything since I'm not picky."

"Really?" He asked her, sounding awed. "You like all of those things?"

"Sure do." She said with a nod.

He got a thoughtful look on his face for a few seconds and then asked, "Would you mind cooking something for me sometime? Or playing the piano or dancing with me?"

"No, I wouldn't mind." Ichigo said honestly. After all, he was supposed to be her family now. If he wanted her to some little something- within reason- for him or with him then she was absolutely fine with it.

Besides, it could be fun to see how he reacted to having a meal that she cooked for him. Or even if he could keep up with her while dancing. The mere thought of both made her feel weirdly nervous but otherwise happy. She couldn't help but really wonder if he would enjoy such things. Especially since she had learned those things from humans and things in the Netherworld were done very differently.

"Ah, I'll have to let Opera know so that he can look forward to something to." Sullivan said cheerfully as the carriage suddenly lurched forward a little bit.

She almost fell out of her seat from the force behind it and had to scramble to grab something just to stay upright. But Sullivan didn't budge an inch as he glanced out of one of the windows and hummed before announcing, "We're here."

She loosened her hold on whatever it was that she was holding onto and looked out of her own window to check out the immediate area but couldn't see much in the way of landmarks or buildings. What she did see, however was a sea of demon faces.

Young, and old. Male and female.

There was so many of them that it almost made her head spin even as she felt the carriage dip a bit to indicate that her grandpa had just exited it.

"Alright, Ichigo. You can do this." She muttered to herself as she slowly made her way over to the open door and paused when a hand appeared right in front of her. Turning her head, she found Opera standing just off to the side a tad, holding his hand out to help her climb down.

It was very sweet and thoughtful of him. So, she didn't refuse his help and instead slid her smaller hand in his own and let him help her.

"Ah, thank you Opera." She said once her feet were on the ground again.

If the cat eared demon said something, she must have missed it due to the fact that she was staring at the most shockingly huge castle-esque building that she had ever seen before.

Stepping back a bit, she followed the nearest wall all the way up to the top with her eyes in awe as she muttered, "Holy hell, I'm going to Hogwarts." She stared for several heartbeats while mentally comparing the castle before her to the one that she had been in when she had gone to Soul Society to help Princess Rurichiyo when she had been in danger.

And certainly, that castle hadn't been as overwhelmingly big as this one. In fact, Rurichiyo's castle had sort of been partially destroyed by the uprising. Which was definitely a bummer but there was little that Ichigo could do about it once it had happened.

"It's quite nice, isn't it?"

She wasn't sure exactly how Opera had managed to sneak up on her, but he did.

And his sudden speaking in her ear nearly made her scream. Thankfully, though she wasn't much of a screamer when it came to being startled anymore so instead, she quickly grabbed his hand and started walking with purpose.

If he wanted her to compliment the castle then she'd do it in her own way.

Once she got up to the wall and put her hand on the cool, grey stone, she began. "Look up there," She instructed him as she pointed up to the very top of the wall. He did as she bid, though his confusion was obvious. So, she decided to enlighten him. "Up at the top, is where the battlement would be. Soldiers would gather along the top in masses during times of war to protect the castle and the people within it."

His eyes came back to her face, and she smiled, feeling just a bit giddy as she went on to say, "If the wall was ever breached, then enemy forces would be met by archers, swords, spears, and in some very extreme cases, boiling oil being dumped on their heads from above."

"Oh." Opera said in understanding as he clapped his hands, "My lady is so knowledgeable! I'm impressed." He paused for a second and then asked her, "But what happened if the enemy somehow got past the battlement?"

Ichigo grinned and grabbed his hand again, completely missing the warm expression that flitted across his face as she led him inside of the gate and a little way away from the other people so that she could give him a breakdown of how medieval battles happened.

"Imagine, it's night. Right at the witching hour and all hell suddenly breaks loose at the battlement. You can hear and, in some cases, even see it by torchlight. Men are screaming, and shouting. You can hear the loud clashing of metal. Steel on steel. There's the smell of blood hanging in the air, and many of your soldiers have died to try and stop an unknown enemy from breaking down the gate."

She was so busy trying to paint a picture for Opera so that he could imagine everything more easily that she hadn't realized that she had somehow drawn in some spectators which included her Grandpa, several teachers, and a bunch of curious kids. All of whom gathered around her to listen to what she was saying.

"So, they came over the wall instead. Slashing and maiming and killing any man that tried to stop them. The air is filled with screams of agony and despair while the enemy quickly moves from the battlement to the courtyard. They know that if they can reach the castle, then they can take it and eliminate everyone inside of its walls. There is another clash here in the courtyard between the intruders and the ones protecting the castle. The brave men that hadn't died defending the castle make their way from the battlement right on the enemies heels with their weapons in hand and rage in their hearts."

"How dare they!" Opera exclaimed, looking more than a tad bit riled up to her.

She blinked at him but smiled before launching back into her story and after another few minutes finally managed to wrap it up with a decisive winner that crushed the opposing forces against all odds.

After that, she finally realized that she had gathered a bit of a crowd thanks to the loud applause that she got. She blushed from embarrassment as her grandpa quickly extracted himself from the crowd to run up to her and spin her around.

"That was such a good story! I knew that my granddaughter was talented, but I didn't know that you were this talented." Sullivan gushed while she struggled- futilely, she may add- to escape his grasp before finally calling out to Opera for help.

After that, the car eared demon managed to pry her free and then dragged her kicking and screaming grandpa off to heaven knows where. Reminding her of an incident that occurred during her third-grade show and tell with her dad. As well as why she no longer allowed her family to attend certain functions with her anymore.

All she knew was that she would have to make sure that her grandpa was busy before she decided to anything pertaining to certain activities.

Finding the auditorium after that proved to be a challenge for her. Mostly because she tried to find it without using any of her abilities first. Of course, at that point she was simply walking around for the sake of walking around, but that got tiring after a she got yelled at by some people more than once for not being where she was supposed to be.

So, finally she decided that since she didn't know where the damned auditorium was- then she'd just have to try sensing where it was by focusing on a large number of people clustered in one place. Which worked pretty well. But also creeped a number of other people in the immediate area out to the point where they cut her a wide berth.

But whatever. She made it to the auditorium and found herself a seat, far, far away from the stage, and sat herself down on the bench there and got comfortable.
