Hunters P.O.V.
"Move! Out of my way!" The two regular punters ran out just as we entered the room with our blasters raised. Cid pushed us out of the way.
"Hey, what's going on in here?" She looked at the only other person in the room and said
"Who are you?" The person then pushed down their hood and the three of us stood there in disbelief. Echo then muttered
"Rex?" Cid then said
"Oh, great. Another clone. Just what I needed. Well, don't get comfy. I'm done taking in strays. This ain't a clone clubhouse, ya know. Unbelievable. Thinkin' they own the place" She pushed past us and went back into her office.
Once she was gone, I looked back to Rex and said
"Captain" He smiled and said
"It's been a while, boys" Echo then said
"Where have you been, Rex?"
"Hmm. That's a long story" We walked over to the bar as Rex went on to say
"When the war ended, I guess you could say I've been... keeping a low profile"
We got some drinks as Tech said
"Very low. Imperial files have you listed as killed in action" Rex took a swig of his drink as he said
"Being dead in the Empire's eyes has its advantages" Echo then said
"Well, how'd you track us down?"
"Trace and Rafa Martez. They said a squad of rogue clones helped them on Corellia. They told me I could find you here. And that you were travelling with a kid. Who is she?" I took a swig from my drink before saying
"Omega. She's a clone like us" It then went quiet. After a minute or two I asked
"Rex, what happened to Val?"
He looked at me for a second but before he could answer me, Wreckers voice boomed through the room
"Well, look who it is…" We looked over to see him and Omega in the doorway. Wrecker then laughed and as Rex got up he said
"Come here, Rex" Wrecker hugged Rex and lifted him off the ground slightly as Rex said
"Yeah. Good to see you too, Wrecker" Once Wrecker put Rex down, Omega spoke
"I thought you didn't like the regs" Wrecker patted Rex on the shoulder and said
"This one we like" I then spoke
"Omega, this is Rex" Rex crouched down in front of he and said
"I've met many clones in my time, but never one like you"
Omega took a step towards him and looked in his eyes before saying
"You're a generation one"
"Now how'd you know that?"
"From the lines on your face" Rex chuckled before saying
"Yeah, I guess I've been around" Wrecker then said
"You got that right" He then gripped his head and groaned before turning to Tech and saying
"Tech, I need one of those med patches"
"You used the last one" Rex then turned around saying
"What's wrong?" Wrecker replied
"Nothing. It's just a headache" Echo then said
"Which are becoming more frequent" Rex stood up whilst saying
"Is that so?" Tech then said
"If you're concerned about the so-called inhibitor chips, don't be. Our deviant nature appears to have impeded their functionality. Except in Crosshair" Rex moved ever so slightly in front of Omega and said
"You're telling me you haven't removed your chips?"
Tech then said
"No, not yet" Rex moved his hand to his blaster and took a defensive stance in front of Omega. We got to our feet and stood cautiously in front of Rex, I reached out and muttered
"Rex?" He didn't listen instead he said
"Those chips make you a threat to everyone around you. Even her. You're all ticking time bombs" I took a step towards him and said
"Take it easy, Captain" Once again he didn't listen to me.
"What's in your head is more dangerous than you can imagine. I've seen what happens when the chip activates, and I don't want to bury any more of our brothers. Trust me. It is not something you can control. I couldn't. It's a risk you do not want to take" I briefly locked eyes with Omega who had nothing but worry in her eyes. I gave her a brief nod before looking back at Rex and saying
"How do you suggest we get them out?"
"Good question. I'll be in touch"
